Great no problems does the jobs i bought it fo
This bench grinder and sander in my opinion is good value for money. It’s easily set up and has all the necessary safety options. I bought a range of graded sand belts and a polisher disc as I will use it for fine finishes. Very satisfied.
My normal grinder broke down, I had for a good 20 years, so I bought a belt sander/grinder it’s fabulous, value for money.
Silverline tools are cheap and to some point you get what you pay for, but you are not paying for a fancy brand name. I find all silverline tools are good value for money and are great for a DIY projects. I never intended to use it as a belt sander and that is just as well as the sander bed is in all honesty a bit rubbish. But the motor is smooth running and as a polisher this is a good tool. It has more Wattage than the normal polisher and don’t stall at speed.
It’s good value for the price. It’s a bit tricky to get the belt sander running straight. Also when I made the purchase there where spare sanding belts show as frequently bought together. These where totally WRONG SIZE. Check belt size before you buy.
Took a little messing around to get the belt tracking properly, but now it’s set up this is a great little bench grinder. Can’t beat it at the price.

Gives a nice fine sand to wood.
The first time I tried to start it, the motor would grunt and the wheel and the belt would shunt but not move, after fiddling for a while I found if you flick the on switch and give the belt a “jump start” with your hand, it would start and continue to do so. However I would be incredibly cautious about attempting to do this as if the belt starts and your hand is still on it, I mean you’re going to lose a fingertip or two.
Also if this is your first time buying a belt sander as it was mine, it’s pretty loud. I only feel comfortable using it in the middle of the day in the garage as it seems loud enough to cause a racket at night or in the morning.
Also, I would advise placing the machine on some kind of “barrier” between the machine and the counter or desk top.
Overall, for the price this seems to be a great machine for someone relatively new to woodworking or generally anyone who wants a decent belt sander for a good price.
The delivery on the other hand was terrible. It was with DPD and I paid 5 or so for a scheduled delivery for a Saturday morning when there were people at the house. It didn’t arrive on Saturday or Sunday so I checked with DPD and it said my parcel has not even been dispatched yet! The item eventually came on The following Tuesday, over one week after it was meant to arrive. This was the first delivery that has not arrived on time from Amazon and they delt with it very well. I would advise using Standard or Prime delivery and NOT scheduled delivery. Overall it is a fantastic bit of kit for the price!
