These are the best puppy pads on the market; they may be a little more expensive than others on the market but they’re far more superior. I’ve bought these for a few years and I’ve no complaints at all. Great to put by the back door, soaking up muddy footprints – I love them.

have a lovely lavender aroma, great absorption and lasts a long time without ruining your floor/carpet, good size, use for dog and cat too.

These are great and large and very good quality. Although in supermarkets may be cheaper, they are not the same quality or size. Keep all the liquid in really well. Been so good and have really helped us train our puppy. Also getting them delivered helps too.

I buy these as my cat is getting on in years and sometimes when she’s using her litter tray her aim isn’t quite what it used to be. These absorb the urine really well, they dont leak, they don’t smell, they’re a life (and floor) save

good product but expensive, ended up opting for Pets At Home own brand pads for our puppies when they needed pads

Work savers. Dachshund puppy is getting used to peeing (and sometimes pooing) on these when left overnight (if we don’t get up early enough), etc. Used on a kitchen quarry tile floor, they stay in place and hold a lot of liquid. Essential.

Bought as a gift for a family member who lives in a flat and so must always have pads down for those little emergencies. She had never used these before but reported that they were far superior to the products she has used in the past. Large, absorbent, exactly what was needed. We can certainly recommend this product.

Great for potty training your puppy. Absorbs his urine straight away.
First day at our house, he peed on the kitchen floor so we used a pad to soak it up and left the pad. He smelt his urine and started going there since then.
Great purchase. Only problem is it moves around quite a bit and he sometimes ran away with it.

These go in my 17 year old Jack Russell’s igloo every night and as she wets in her sleep it stops the igloo having to be washed every day. Excellent product.

These were great when my pup was small but now he is going out and does not need them due to going on long walks we only need an occasional one on a night. Great product, beware though pups love to chew them

I love the absorbency, these pads hold a lot of liquid. I’ve used lots of different makes and I like this brand the best. It’s quality and fits the plastic holder really well. I have a pad by the back door in the kitchen just incase my 7 dogs can’t get to the garden. I can’t smell anything when they use it. So, yes I am really pleased with Simple Solution premium pads. 5 *****

So much better than the BM bargain pads, only have a small dog using them but they do the job and prevent smelly patches on the carpet.

I have been using this training pads for my dog for several years now. It comes especially handy in the winter as my dog doesn’t like the cold outside in the winter. It has never leaked once as long as I can remember, unless your dog misses the spot.

It soaks well and would be perfect if it had sticky adhesive in the ends. My 8week old pug pulls it around with his teeth. I had a cheaper one with sticky ends even though it is low quality but will do the job for me.

If, like me, you have a cat that pees around the house, then these are a godsend. I use them all the time. They dont look the best in the house but its better than cat pee on your carpet (or wood flooring). They are quite good at soaking up the mess, so I guess they will be good for their purpose, dog accidents.

I feel guilty buying these as they aren’t at all environmentally friendly but they were a godsend while house training our puppy. I wish we could buy half boxes as we have a lot left over.
    They’re very absorbant.

My Chihuahua’s first wee in the morning is just like when Austin Powers gets unfrozen in the first film. These pads absorb the lot, with no leaks.
A little bit dearer than some, but after four months and not one leakage, I will keep buying these.

  21. Jeff Bartlett says:

Better than amazon basics. I’m a huge amazon fan and love the basics range of products these however are better and absorb more with less leaks. They are thicker and just better quality so you use less over time, I was going through 50 every couple of weeks and I’m barely using more than one a day now 🙂

  22. Anonymous says:

My misjudgement perhaps, but the pads could have been a little larger to be ideal. However, backed by newspapers to fill the gaps, they did a reasonable job. Good puppy though, only about 25 of the 100 pack used before he became fully house trained….at 9.5 weeks old!

After using a different brand for a few months, I’m so glad I purchased these instead! Just wish I had used them before!
Amazing absorbency, no little puddles underneath and no running up my arms when I pick them up.
Best thing about these is a massive bonus for me – my pups really struggle to tear these up. They’re well made and have a decent thickness.
    I can’t recommend these enough

  24. AlvaOUDKielxw says:

Definitely can’t hold up 7 cups water 😀 When my 9 weeks old puppy makes a proper pee on it once and it’s fully getting blue (of course not because of any indicator, it’s about the plastic underneath 😉 ) and is getting a leak.
No really better like the similar cheaper version in UK, for example, Wilko training pad.
The rate features ask me about adhesion..I do not find any adhesive what I expected. I expected adhesives each of the four corners but I didn’t find.
So, to summarize, lots of smoke for more money.

I have an elderly chihuahua who has started having accidents. I have covered most of the area with this. I have to say it is NOT totally absorbent. You still have to cover or put something underneath it because the smell gets through unfortunately so it is not in my opinion as it has been advertised.

We’ve got an old dog who is a bit incontinent & need to cover off a large area of the downstairs at night times. The larger pads suit us as they make life a little easier when laying or pulling up the pads.

Not an easy time. These pads do make clean ups simpler- providing the dog deposits on it.!! Absorbency is good and the plastic backing makes them totally leak proof. So long as the pup doesn’t choose to make a game of it and drag them along the floor for the thrill of i

Never used these before and we bought for our dog Rosie who suffered from heart failure which caused fluid to leak into her abdomen. The vets had prescribed heart tablets which caused poor Rosie to urinate regularly and due to the pressure on her bladder it got to a point where accidents started to happen. We couldn’t use a dog nappy on her due to her swelling so these be ame the next best thing. They are quite thin and flimsy to look at but don’t let that put you off as they are super absorbent and no leakage. A great size for covering a large area.

I have purchased these on a regular basis for my dogs, both when they were puppies and for accidents when they became old and a little slower. These are the best that I have used so far.
They are a good size and take a lot of puppy pee.
Strong, does not break up when my puppy drags it down the hall, to show me what he has done! then waits for a treat.
My puppy’s father also uses it when caught short.

I buy these puppy pads every month. My health is not good and they are down for my Bichon Frise to use when necessary. Would recommenthese pads for elderly -people who have pets. They negate the necessity for going outside when dark or icy conditions make it risky outdoors.

I bought these as I have a large sulcata tortoise who lives indoors in the winter and who’s wees would frequently catch me out and often flood where she sits. I could however roughly guess when she’s about to wee, usually when eating and thought I’d try these puppy pads as I was using a whole toilet roll at a time to mop up! I hoped they would help to mop up the excess……
However when placed underneath my tortoise they are truly amazing. They will contain a whole wee…..and boy does she wee a lot. Don’t get me wrong it’s sopping after a big one, but I fold it up and pop it in the bin and no wet floor. Amazing. So impressed

Good quality, holds a lot of “water” easy to use. I have a very old dog and feel safe knowing that she can use these, its my 3rd box. It took a while for the dog to get used to them but even if she’s just letting go lying down, these soak up instantly. great things.

These have worked really well for lining my 3 month old Labradors pen at night. They’ve kept his mess contained and have been well worth the investment. Unfortunately at 4 months he’s still not night trained so still needs his pen and he has taken to destroying these pads when he’s bored, usually at around 6am when he wants his breakfast. Hopefully he will soon outgrow them and this won’t be a problem. So recommended for the very early stages but not so sure about later on.

Wouldn’t use any other, holds a lot of wee and doesn’t fall apart.

Have a lil shihpoo who has a very little bladder, very convenient when I have to go out and leave him indoors for the day.

Just brought 2 boxes as they had a great deal… 6 quid off each box!!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI put 5 to 6 pads down near the door for my 9 week old Labrador puppy.
She took to them right away after placing her onto them every hour the first day of her being home with us.
She now uses them every time she needs the toilet.
They hold the water well and I take them up after a few hours and every time she messes.
They are a bit small to use just 1 or 2 with a Labrador pup.
If the dog is in a crate then they might not be suitable as these dogs get board if left alone and the pads rip easy if the dog rips them up or plays with them.

THE SECOND ORDER OF THESE WAS LEFT ON A DOORSTEP IN THE NEXT STREET.

These training pads are large which is needed as I have an adopted adult dog Also they truly are absorbent. My dog is a retired working sheepdog who is brilliant, intelligent and obedient – as well as loving. She learns very fast. However I was told she lived outside in her previous (working) life and therefore she has had a lifetime of going to the toilet whenever needed and wherever. She is very good and makes no mess in the house generally but gets caught short sometimes – so the kitchen near the door is where she goes. Cleaning up and drying with newspaper helped – but these pads are enabling her to concentrate her target on the pad – and their absorbency then makes the cleaning up minimal. I really recommend these pads as an aid on the toilet training/understanding journey.

Got these for under my elderly dogs bed as it she does not always wake up when she needs to go. They are easy to see if she has had an accident and the size of pack should last a long time.Certainly saves my carpet from smelling of dog urine.

Great pads, much better than some other brands. They absorb the wee straight away unlike some brands, and they don’t smell.. they are large as well so bigger dogs can use. Can’t fault these, they are more expensive than other pads but they are much better.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI highly recommend these pads. Older, willfully incontinent cat with kidney issues and pees a lot. Three specific areas in the house. Every morning I’d be picking up the towels where he peed in the house, and do a washing machine load every day along with towels from the middle of the previous day. Even then, the floor would get wet through the towel or because he pees standing up and the towel wasn’t high enough against the wall. I discovered these pads and they are such a great solution. If he doesn’t pee much, I even leave it or turn it around and it can be used another time, depending on where it is located. They are stiff enough that I can lean a whole side up against the wall and everything is caught.

I found one of those high-backed litter boxes with two levels. The top has holes where I layer a little bit of wood pellets. The pee goes straight through to below, where I now use a pad. It is amazing how much it soaks up, I change it about every five days (as he also goes elsewhere including outside…but never defecates indoors!). I just fold up and throw away. Literally no litter to scoop up and throw away. I feel bad about the throwing away and the environmental impact, but washing everyday meant using laundry detergent going into our septic tank, using electricity for wash and dryer which also all have their environmental impact.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThese have been great as our ancient dog started to struggle to stand sometimes, meaning the strain caused him to soil himself. The lavendar scent is very strong when opened, but not so noticeable after a few minutes, and is definitely preferable to the alternative! They hold any moisture very well – we have slate floors, so it’s easy to see. A great buy, and sturdy enough to be used while still clean for a few days being kicked/slept on round or on his bed. We put a washable layer of vetbed on top of his actual bed, with these on top, and so far the bed has stayed uncontaminated. Great buy

I took on two pugs which had been rescued from a puppy farm where they were used as breeding machines. Neither were house trained so after a few approaches I tried these. They are not 100% foolproof but are surprisingly effective. Now, a month in, things are so much better. I still put one by the back door just in case but it is seldom used. One pad will last for several wees.

  55. Anonymous says:

So much better than many other brands, They don’t really have to hold as much as soon as the pups poop on them I lift them, however leaving them padding out a whelping pen for 7 boxer pups, they hold it all saving a ton of mess, aside from that never used pup pads for a litter before till now, wouldn’t go back to just newspaper now, these cut down 90% of the smell.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersBrilliant-two puppies so go through a lot of these!! They do now leak through like with other brands so you don’t have to change them quite so frequently. Other brands, after one piddle, they are leaking immediately and I’ve to wash the floor. With these though, even after all night, piddes and poo’s are safely soaked up. I won’t even bother to try other brands now, these r honestly brilliant, my pups r only about to turn 8 weeks and already are using the pads 60-70% of the time. It says they have some kind of smell put into the pads to make them more attractable for a dog to pee on?? It’s in the small print-if I had a product that had some kind of special scent that made dogs want to pee on them I would have it in bold on the front of the box, I can’t smell anything at all, so I don’t know if it’s actually working or not , or if it’s just luck?? Anyway gr8 pads!

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersThese have been such a huge help, my rescue pup only goes on these if she does have an accident in the house whilst I’m toilet training her. Compared to another shops own version these ones don’t fall apart like the others do when my 2 dogs are playing and churning the pads up everywhere. They’re supposed to have something that attracts dogs to use them, I believe they do as once I went onto these there ended up no accidents on the floor itself. Its meant no more having to thoroughly clean the floor, all I have to do if to roll the pads up, bag it, put a new one down and job done! My pup is only 11kg so doesn’t make big puddles, but these have held what she does do without any issue at all, not a single leak so far.
I’d definately recommend these to anyone toilet/house training a pup or for those with dogs that are having incontinence issues.

A must with puppies! They must have a smell that attracts the attention, as my puppy knew to go on them, and they’re thick enough, nothing gets through to the floor or carpet! Now have them placed by back door, and have managed to spot him going there, so just opened the door and a bit of coaxing out and praising, I don’t think ill be needing them for much longer! Wish they’d had them years ago, had to replace a whole carpet with last dog!!

These are excellent value for money considering it costs about half as much for a small pack of 20 of these locally. Also, the edges of these training pads are creamy white colour, just like the pad itself which is nicer than other training pads I’ve come across which have a blue trim.
That may not look as nice on your floor so beware…. whilst that’s being fussy it may be useful knowledge for those people who are into things looking nice at home. These will look nicer than some other brands (unless perhaps, you have blue carpet.!)

They really work, I am just toilet training my puppy who also loves ‘paddling’ in the water bowl. It absorbs a lot of water as well as wee. We’re not doing so well on the poo front, she doesn’t seem to like it for that but will wee happily on the pad, They’ve also been great for muddy paw prints from the older dog I have, just placed them by the door when its wet and bam! No more cleaning up! Great for me!

These are our second pack of 100 (bought the first lot just over 2 years ago when our dog was a puppy) They are fantastic quality & I wouldn’t use the cheaper ones (we were given some- not much use) We put a pad down just in case & the dog knows to wee on them (rarely happens) They were great when we were training as well, just roll up & bin.

These are great for my almost house broken small dog. I put one inside a large litter tray and my Bichon Frise happily uses it when we are out or overnight.

We usually use one a day, they are decent value and easy to dispose of.

I do recommend using a tray with them though as sometimes he just misses a bit and the tray is easier to clean than the floor. Also since using the tray he doesn’t decide it’s a toy to shred like he did when they were just on loose on the floor.

Have a Maltese who has been so difficult to house train but at least uses the pads. Also have a new puppy who sometimes manages to use the pads and on other occasions misses the target! Due to this pads need to be able to absorb any mess which they do and when the time comes will be ordering more. Thank goodness for Simple Solution Training Pads.

a must have product if you have a new puppy at home. my little one hadn’t seen one before so was a little unsure. I just found a spot in the house she liked to wee on, cleaned the area up and popped the pad down. she goes on the pad no problem now. helps with the little mistakes.

We used to use Bob Martin deodorising litter liners for the litter tray, but they sadly discontinued them. Since then we have been buying puppy training pads to put into the litter liner, before adding the litter as it keeps the odour to a minimum. They do work, but not as well as the Bob Martin litter liners.

weve been using these for 2 and a half years on our house trained dog and they are brilliant quality. some of the ones you can get are rubbish and expensive but these have a really good feel to them a good quality bit that locks in the moisture and isnt thin and flimsy.. good price and always delivered fas

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersThis is the second time I have ordered this pack of pads as they are very useful when you have animals and especially if you have many they can be a real stress reliever as they soak up any accidents quickly taking away that stress of what to do about the smell in the carpet etc, as I’m sure most pet owners can empathise with 🙂
I used these when I had a new puppy to train him to go on, which he did pretty much straight away and they soak up a lot without leaking through at all, it depends on the size of your dog but if you have a puppy/small dog as I did then they can be used more than once, saving the hassle/expense of changing them after every use.
I also use them under my cats litter tray as one of my cats tends to wee right on the edge of the tray getting it onto the floor underneath so these are a life saver for that too, they soak up the wee and the odour and again don’t have to be changed every time.
One more use I have recently used them for is muddy paws in the car which can take away the need to clean the car mats every time you take the dog out and they get muddy
All in all these pads are great and so useful to have around the house

These are great n do what it says on the box. Arrived on time and takes the hassle out of having to get to the pet shop. Also saves me a fortune because every time I do visit the pet shop I end up spending loads of money on rubbish I don’t need, the dogs don’t appreciate or just don’t need.

These were really gratefully received. We had just got our new pup and unlike our previous pups, he was going everywhere to sit. Once we put the pads (we used 2 at a time) on the favourite spot, he learned quickly to go there. We even had to buy a 2nd box and the wee devil became toilet trained with 85 pads to go. Will buy again before getting next pup!!!!

Very good but as as pointed out by someone else, you’re better off with the Readi Incontinence pads (for humans). The 60×90 size in the 100 pack work out much cheaper and less effort to change because they’re bigger. These are great if you have a miniature dog. My French bulldog is now 5 months old and the incontinence pads are the best!

Arrived just in time for need.
How ever puppy won’t use them for their use !
We keep one on floor in puppies room next to food tray, have used them in car on a long journey which were ideal.
Use one in dining room to put food bowls on.
Cheaper on Amazon then pets at home.
Have rated four due to not being used as training pads, so can’t really review on that.

These are great and hold the smell really well. I use them for the cats, as one of them refuses to use cat litter, but happily used these pads when our dog was a puppy! I cut them in half and put them in the litter trays, as soon as they are used I change them. No smell, no dust and no cat litter paw prints.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese are just the best! Sadly, my adult dogs have never really been trained in the art of widdling in the house (when we are out) so these are invaluable. Just make sure you overlap them as my girls have a habit of finding the gaps!
All in all though, these soak up well and the girls definitely know where to do their business. You can’t go wrong with these 😉

I use these pads during the night time for my puppy and she uses them without a problem if she needs a wee. During the day is a different matter though as she will rip one up and eat it! I’m not sure if the plasticky backing is harmful to a dogs digestion system, but she seems to be ok and has digested quite a lot!

I am a dog behaviourist and these are fab as they have a bulit in natural ingredient that encourages your dog to pee on these, they have many uses such as in a crate, for puppy training i personally use them in my dog’s own room for when i am going out and it is too cold or wet to leave my dog in it’s run, my cat also uses these 🙂

    Fantastic quality and affordable.

I have never used pads before just newpaper but as the puppy had been used to them at the breeders I bought this pack. I have been delighted by the quality and up to just they have not been torn to bits. They certainly work better then newspaper to keep to floor dry and clean. I have already ordered another pack as a standbye. Delivery was quick next day well packed, ordered via Amazo

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOne of my cats will not use the traditional cat litters, so I have to place a puppy training pad in an open tray and she will happily use them. They work a treat as they soak up any liquids and the plastic backing stops it soaking all the way through so I don’t have to wipe out the plastic tray every time it is used. As my cat has renal problems I can go through several of these pads a day so it makes sense for me to by the large boxes.

These have solved the problem of one of our elderly cats ‘missing’ the litter tray and peeing on the floor, which was becoming a regular occurrence and was unpleasant and time consuming to clear up. Any accidents are now absorbed in the pad which is easily folded up and disposed of without any further mess or fuss. Although the pads are thin, they hold a surprising amount of fluid and I have not had any leakage from them. Highly recommended and I wish I’d known about these a long time ago!

Arrived quickly and good value for money. I don’t think you realise how many of these you’re actually going to need when you have a young puppy! They helped my house to stay fresh and clean and the pup obviously recognises that it should do it’s business on or around the mat. I assume that’s something to do with the odour that is infused into them. The plastic backing also means that nothing leaks through onto flooring.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe cheapest way of training your puppy/dog is a 100 pack of Simple Solution training pads. Our small breed puppy only did little wees and so I thought I would just leave them down for multi-use. However, my puppy did not like using them more than once and so I would have a neighbouring accident next to the pad. Accordingly, I would definitely recommend one use only. They are also really effective at quickly soaking up accidents on carpets/floors by placing one swiftly on the top of it. They are also brilliant when defrosting a freezer or mopping up spillages around the home and garage!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHave been using these pads for three weeks now with my new puppy and he hasn’t made one mistake. The breeder did start the litter off with these pads and we have continued to use them whilst we try to get him to go outside to relieve himself. He drinks lots of water and these pads have not failed in keeping the floor dry even when they have had a number of puddles on them. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought a box of these for the arrival of our Border collie puppy anticipating a few weeks of chaos whilst house training. Puppy was house trained within 4 days so did not need the majority of the box. For the ones I did use, they did a good job absorbing fluid. They are light weight and easy to store in strategic places around the house or car in case of fluid based accidents.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSome pups are easier to train than others and our two have been a challenge. I usually find Simple Solution products good and when I saw that they did a pack of 100 for such a good price, I did not hesitate to order. They may say ‘economy’ however we have found them as good as any other pad and we have tried most brands. They hold the wee well, and when the pups manage to wee on the edges, the flow does usually go back to the pad rather than on the floor. Very happy with them, and on our 3rd box!

These pads are not magic; you have to use your common-sense.
The new puppy must be confined to a small area, preferably with a cage bed, but with the door open.
Put down a few pads and the dog will start to use them, even though their accuracy is sometimes poor.
After a very short period (a few weeks), less pads are required, until the glorious day when all are clean in the morning.
There has not been a single accident since and we still have ten pads left from only one pack!

Perfect for training your puppy, worked with our puppy first time as it has a smell to it, which makes them want to pee on it.
Don’t worry you will not smell the pad unless your puppy has done his poop.

To make them last a little longer, if its just a pee on the matt, put a piece of kitchen paper on the top.
If its a poop, remove it with kitchen paper, put another kitchen paper on top of the matt where his pooped.
We use two matts on the floor at a time to give him some space to move and get comfy.
