This unit is well made and feels high quality. I chose it because I needed a junction box as well, and this has a case big enough to hold a chocblock connector in the back.
It comes with little rubber grommets for the mounting holes to keep them waterproof, but they’re a loose fit and kept falling out. The big knock-out holes (20mm diameter) around the sides don’t have any kind of grommet supplied so you can’t waterproof them – rather an oversight on a product supposed to be waterproof. Hence four stars. Still good value at 10 though.

Just the thing I wanted to install at the side of the shed to plug my mower into, it came with all the screws to fix it with and the front clips shut really secure and keeps the plug in and waterproof if you are wanting to plug lights or anything for a long period . If you are not sure how to connect it up call an electrician.

Seems well made I used it to connect all the wires for a plug in security camera – rather than try and drill a hole to feed all the wires through , I just used the wires that my old security light was connected to – I have marked the socket inside to show it’s connected to the downstairs light ring so if it’s needed to be isolated the correct circuit breaker can be switched off , once the box is all fitted the camera just plugs in and the cables etc are covered buy the outer lid which gets secured by the locking clips , I did add quite a bit of clear sealant at the back of the box and around the cable before I secured it to the wall so hopefully it there should be no problem with water ingress , I did drill a hole for the drain as it recommends but I know this also makes a difference to the IP 66 rating
outstanding quality and build
This was bought to run a hot tub in the garden so quality and fit for purpose was paramount. This is really well made and superb value for money

Seems fine but time will tell, One of these burnt out on me last year and caused me a lot of problems but maybe that one was just faulty
Grommet and clearer instructions.
Product itself was fine , maybe a rubber grommet for where cable enters housing would have been useful though .
Also , instructions have the illustration missing , I notice someone else mentioned this some time back , so a shame its not been rectified . However, for anyone with a reasonable level of commonsense and diy skills its not that difficult to install .

The quality of material looks and feels good and it’s robust It’s a tough plastic.
The cover can be closed when there is a normal wire plugged in. It was not hard to click the catches open or closed, it comes with small part where I can add a padlock to secure it. Sockets looks very well isolated and Its waterproof as described. Installation is easy and you have many option from very to connect wires. (I had mine professionally installed as I’m no electrician. But even the electrician seemed impressed with the sockets
