Good stuff that really works and adds texture with just a light sprinkle. Seems to go a bit greasy as the day progresses but that might just be how it reacts with my hair. Good product that does what it claims. Quite pricey but you get what you pay for people.
Good hair product. This texturing hair product is great for guys who have fine, thin hair that’s floppy. Definitely thickings up the Barnet.
Basically puts some of this powder on your head and rub is in then style to ones preference. Holds pretty well, I also use it with another product and both work fine together.
There’s not as much as you’d expect there to be in the tub but you only need a small amount, paired with sea salt spray this works wonders on fine hai

I have been using ‘fudge matte hed’ for many years but have been unhappy with the product for a long time. I’ve tried loads of waxes/clay and I have to say I was unsure of switching over to a powder type product.
This stuff is amazing. It’s perfect for medium length hair, mine is pretty thick and wavy, but this stuff just looks so natural without that greasy look, so I’d say it’s brilliant for blonde hair. It holds very well, almost like a hairspray feel.
I have very thick, heavy hair and any products I use (and I have tried a lot) give up within and hour or less. But not this!
I part my hair, sprinkle a little on my scalp, then rub it in (think spread fingers through my hair as if washing it). Within seconds it gains height. A bit of hairspray and it stays there all day! Astonishing.
There is a bit of a tacky feel, but I don’t mind that.

Had this product recommended by my barber and it is the Best! hair product I’ve ever brought. So easy to apply and has an amazing hold whilst adding volume. Really love that all day you can continue to reshape and style your hair whilst maintaining amazing hold. Would highly recommend this product over any wax, clays, gels.
After trying many different products in my mission to achieve a wavy look for my long, straight hair I think I have found the one perfect for me.
The powder is easy to apply and holds well all day. It also does not leave any reminisce in the hair or on clothes and gives an all round natural look.
However, do not go overboard with the powder as when using too much the hair can become hard and luggy.
Great value for money, most other products come in a smaller bottle, for similar/higher cost, and is does the same thing as the rest of them.

For my sons hair,its ok for a while but by time he comes home from school his hair style has come out.Doesn’t look greasy which is a bonus.It can be messy if you sprinkle it straight on the hair instead of your hands.Its not cheap but will last a while.
After trying various styling powders from loads of different manufacturers for me this is the best to date. My style falls flat after an hour of two with most other powders and I often have to add additional clay or other product to give support but this stuff holds up on its own. Easy to apply, gives great natural looking texture and all day hold and is easily re-workable when needed. It’s the monkeys nuts!

Really easy to put in your hair. Just be careful as it’s powder it’s easy to get it on your shoulders/face if your not careful. But it’s easy to clean off.
I normally put it in dry hair. Then use a little bit of clay after words to work it all in. This stuff makes your hair workable, yet holds really well. Don’t put too much in as it can be a pretty hard to wash out.
Last a long time. Does me a full 12 hour shift at work and then some.

Having used gel / putty / generic gunk for decades, this volumising talc / powder is revolutionary! Great hold all day long, hair looks natural and it really does add a sense of volume to the old barnet. I can’t recommend this enough!
Having spent most of my life using either wax or gel this has been a bit of a revelation. Has excellent hold whilst not giving a wet/greasy look (if anything it seems to absorb grease). Is very easy to use and if like my you generally only style your hair if leaving the house this one bottle will last a surprisingly long time. I think the best praise I can give is that I have no intention of going back to any other products and will continue to use this instead.
I wish this had been available years ago. It’s perfect for the matt finish and provides impressive hold. Reworkable too, so when it gets windy it’ll be easily put back to a preferred style. Only a small amount required for each use. My son uses it too. He’s got a mop of hair and he usually hates using products in it but the feel of this is much different.
Honestly, this stuff is amazing. No hairspray is needed after using this and it lasts all day and even after you wake up it’s still holding. I swear by this stuff bow and will buy it regularly. It’s the BOMB

I’ve been using this powder for going on a few years now, often switching between other competitors and this.
Ultimately I find it to be the best at keeping a good hold for a long period of time, without making my hair look greasy in anyway.
However after recently speaking to my barber about it, he strongly recommends against such texturising products due to the damage which they have on the hair root. I will continue to use this, but its something to keep in mind about.
I do find it to be pretty expensive for the size of the bottle, however I would say it does live up to expectations.

Quite messy but very simple to use. You can easily style your hair and stays for many hours. The best thing about this product is that you can’t tell if your wearing any hair product it’s very low profile.
Followed slick gorilla for a long time on Instagram, bit the bullet and bought and I love this and the powder combined for my wee boys stick straight hair. He’s autistic so he hates any spray or gels but I very gently dust powder on top give it a good swish and then rub the clay in between my hands and through his hair he can barely tell what’s going on and when he can it’s already over. Steady hold, lasts all day and my favourite part is readjustable and it feels like hair! Not hard and set like most gels. Easy to wash out, highly highly recommend!!!!!!
Good value for money given the quanity you get but this is not as good as some other powders out there, namely Osis Dust It. This has less hold and is slightly less matte. I always use powders as a base with a clay to finish. Dust it gives you a better holding base whereas this requires more product for a lesser hold. This does give a bit more natural shine though so is good from that perspective. Unsure if I will buy again but definitely not a bad product.
Love this powder! I’ve been using a variety of different powders for years and this one is by far the best for me. It offers the volume and hold you’d expect from a powder whilst being really workable (which most others aren’t!) it gives a really natural dry look without causing any frizz at all. I’d definitely recommend!
It’s good stuff! Difficult to get the hang of though, did take time and use of the powder before finding the right technique, it’s not magic powder after all I guess, but it does require a certain technique to get it right and work it. It holds well and washes out well, has little to no smell. It really is good stuff but I feel it’s overpriced and you do have to apply a fair amount therefore you will go through a lot of this quickly. Overpriced but good
Was skeptical at first because I was like, how’s some powder going to be better than clay, but decided on trying it anyway, bought it and it arrived yesterday and I’ve just tried it this morning and it works like a charm. Once styled with Slick I then quickly apply some hairspray for that extra hold, but not too much that it goes shiny; like I do with my previous hair products. Once I am satisfied with my hair after using slick and a tad of hairspray I leave it to naturally dry, expecting my hair to not stay where it is and go flat like it usually does. But NOPE, stayed where it was, nice matt finish to my hair, looks natural and I feel like I’ve finally found the hair product to sort out my long fringe.
Higly recommended to people who has long fringes and wants that swept look.
Not much product needed. Holds hair all day and does a great job in making thin hair look thicker. Better than other Matte paste in this regard. Hair can be restyled throughout the day.
I use this every day for my hair and sometimes my beard depending on length. Really easy to use in the morning on dry or damp hair, a better hair style from this product then gels and waxes.

I have fairly thick hair and didn’t really get on with this to start with. Mainly because I normally style my hair after having a shower. I didn’t get the right level of hold. After a chat with my barber I realized that this requires a dry application.
I use it as a half day / evening outing product to restyle my hair when it’s dry.

Even if you have thin hair it will give you that modern day thick hair looking style , This is the best out there , Best hair styling for that full on Matt look affect , Does not damage your hair , A little hard to wash out , But that’s if you apply quite a bit , You don’t need loads to perfect the style you need , worth the buy , worth the money .

Good for fine and dense hair. Hold is fairly decent but hairspray seals the deal. Would recommend if youre trying to achieve a textured style
I find it gives my hair loads of texture and makes it look quite thick, it also gives it hold though not loads of hold like a clay or gel would.
A bottle for me seems to last just over a month and I use it quite heavily each day, I do agree with other reviewers that it’s slightly strange they don’t put more in the bottle.

In my opinion this is by far the best hair styling product if you like a casual, dry look. The only issue I can think of is that you will will wake up to a funny, messy look and will really need to get a shower the morning after (probably you should anyway) as it will be impossible to comb your hair again. bear in mind I have relatively long hai

Great product that actually took me by surprise. I had seen this advertised on various social media sites and thought I would give it a go. To my surprise it work perfectly, easy mould to which ever style you want and has good hold duration also. Doesn’t leave any white residue either.

So I’ve got to an age where I like to quiff my hair rather than mohawk, and was recommended this by a colleague. It’s great stuff – dead easy to use, and simple to style. Also lasts ages as you don’t need to use loads.

Amazing stuff! I suffer from greasy and fine hair and this stuff works wonders as it’s so light and leaves a good matte finish. I read some slightly negative reviews mentioning how little you seem to get in the bottle however seeing how much I actually use it will last ages

Not going to lie this is pretty incredible stuff. You don’t need to apply a lot at all and will last all day. You could even re style without having to apply more through out the day. Not sure how people have left bad reviews? They got dodgy hair lol. Hats off to this produc

I like to use this stuff on damp, towel dried hair. It’s as easy as dusting it on and running through your hair until you get a style you like, then let it dry. I have quite thick hair that likes to curl when it gets to a certain length, this stuff seems to hold it quite well, sure it leaves the a few waves, but for me this stuff is my quick solution if I’m in a hurry, or for those days when I want a more natural look.
For me, the downside is the packaging.
The powder takes up roughly half of the space in the container, I would like to see them offer this product with more of the powder inside for a higher price or to just make the packaging smaller and cut out the waste.
Many reviews are saying how this product is only “half full” however there is a disclaimer in the product description so I am unsure why certain geezers are getting triggered. Regardless, this is a pretty wicked product- been using this product for the past few weeks and I’ve had nothing but compliments for my hair: even random women on the street are PROPOSING to me because of how dank I look with this magic dust on my hair!!

Pleasantly surprised with the results of Slick Gorilla Powder but also be warned that their are some cons as well. A small amount of powder in clean hair can create great textured looks. I use it to do a slick back look with a more matte and textured look and seems to hold well all day. As someone with fairer hair it works a treat. It doesn’t weigh my hair down and a tiny bit more then a brush or comb can give you a more slick back look.
Packaging isn’t anything impressive and does look a bit cheap. My bottle looked a bit misprinted (unfortunately I’m a designer it’s something I notice ) but don’t let that fool you with results.
After You use it you will have to wash your hair as though it isn’t too bad on the ingredients front but your hair will need a wash. I would say give it a go. I have been impressed so fa

I’ve always been struggling to find the perfect product for my hair. Been using mousse, gel, wax, cream, hair spray, foam.
Most of these just doesn’t give the natural feel and looks and styles I want.
I look for perfection in my hair and has turned into a OCD to make my hair perfect .
This product works super well, recommended by my barber, I call this product the “magic powder” looks like baby powder but can style your hair like magic.
How I use it is, tap a bit on my hair first, all around “powdering” my head. And then some on my hands: start styling, don’t be worried the powder magically disappears and there isn’t any powder and it wouldn’t look like dandruff. Makes your hand a little sticky.
It’s pros are that it can neatens tricky hair that always sticks ups. I have a parting on my left side of my head, and that side has hair which always sticks up. This product neatens that side and makes it perfect.
Also hairspray is not necessary for this , holds your hair up all day, personally I use hairspray with it as I do a lot of sport.
Usage wise, I use it everyday and a single bottle has lasted me, nearly a month. With a generous dash on my hair .
Cons- quite pricy, but it’s worth it, my last product was “The Crew formula Cream”.

When I received the product the bottle was almost half empty which felt a bit miss leading which is a shame as this product really is great for a a long hold with lots of texture. People always complement my hair when ever I use this.

My daughter decided to have her long hair chopped off in favor of a shorter more manageable style. After trying a few products to style with including wax, mousse, gel and hairspray we discovered this product. She loves using it. It hold well during the course of the day, is very natural looking and feel to her hair using this. She uses it daily and after a month still has good half a bottle left. Great value for money.

Bought for a friend who swears by this and has tried many different products. Seems easy to use – just put it on and style. I think less is more, as it can clump a little and needs a thorough wash out.
This product makes my hair look like I’ve got nothing in it. I think the name “slick” is misleading, it is completely matte (which I see as a very good thing). I can completely mess my hair up by chaotically running my fingers through my hair and this product makes it so that I can just push it back into position using my bare hands.
You only need to use a very, very small amount. If it’s raining you might want to use a bit more and apply it directly to the hair instead of putting it on your hands first. Strangely the rain isn’t a problem as long as when it is naturally drying you are keeping it shaped the way you want it. It washes out very easily as long as you use shampoo.

The only issue is washing it out. After shampooing and conditioning, it is still noticeable when running hands through hair.

Works great. Some of the reviews on here are insane. Yes it’s not full to the brim but what matters is whether it weighs what it says it does. Yes there’s powder on top of it and in the lid, but that’s to be expected….it’s powder!!!
