Not going back!
Having spent most of my life using either wax or gel this has been a bit of a revelation. Has excellent hold whilst not giving a wet/greasy look (if anything it seems to absorb grease). Is very easy to use and if like my you generally only style your hair if leaving the house this one bottle will last a surprisingly long time. I think the best praise I can give is that I have no intention of going back to any other products and will continue to use this instead.
Brilliant produc
I wish this had been available years ago. It’s perfect for the matt finish and provides impressive hold. Reworkable too, so when it gets windy it’ll be easily put back to a preferred style. Only a small amount required for each use. My son uses it too. He’s got a mop of hair and he usually hates using products in it but the feel of this is much different.

Honestly, this stuff is amazing. No hairspray is needed after using this and it lasts all day and even after you wake up it’s still holding. I swear by this stuff bow and will buy it regularly. It’s the BOMB

Amazing stuff. Works best on shorter hair to add bucket loads of texture with an all day matte hold. A little sprinkle goes a long way.

Ultimately I find it to be the best at keeping a good hold for a long period of time, without making my hair look greasy in anyway.
However after recently speaking to my barber about it, he strongly recommends against such texturising products due to the damage which they have on the hair root. I will continue to use this, but its something to keep in mind about.
I do find it to be pretty expensive for the size of the bottle, however I would say it does live up to expectations.

Good powder, not cheap, seems to last a good while!
Good powder, nice finish, medium hold but doesn’t feel too matty when you’ve finished which I like. I’ve tried others and you can’t run your fingers through your hair without feeling like you’re scraping a chalky blackboard.

Followed slick gorilla for a long time on Instagram, bit the bullet and bought and I love this and the powder combined for my wee boys stick straight hair. He’s autistic so he hates any spray or gels but I very gently dust powder on top give it a good swish and then rub the clay in between my hands and through his hair he can barely tell what’s going on and when he can it’s already over. Steady hold, lasts all day and my favourite part is readjustable and it feels like hair! Not hard and set like most gels. Easy to wash out, highly highly recommend!!!!!!

Not quite as good as Osis Dust I
Good value for money given the quanity you get but this is not as good as some other powders out there, namely Osis Dust It. This has less hold and is slightly less matte. I always use powders as a base with a clay to finish. Dust it gives you a better holding base whereas this requires more product for a lesser hold. This does give a bit more natural shine though so is good from that perspective. Unsure if I will buy again but definitely not a bad product.

Perfect for a natural look
Love this powder! I’ve been using a variety of different powders for years and this one is by far the best for me. It offers the volume and hold you’d expect from a powder whilst being really workable (which most others aren’t!) it gives a really natural dry look without causing any frizz at all. I’d definitely recommend!

My favourite styling powde
I really like this powder for styling. It’s not too thick compared to got2b or urban fudge. I can get the prefect style using any of them put slick Gorilla is easier for me to work into hair without lumps sticking together. It works either in hands or straight onto hair but either way it leaves no shine at all which is what I was looking for in a product.
Yes a lot of the bottle is empty but so what there is 20g in the bottle as advertised. This will be my everyday product for my short to medium hai
Strong hold without weighing hair down. Hair looks fuller/thicker. Better than other matte pastes.
Not much product needed. Holds hair all day and does a great job in making thin hair look thicker. Better than other Matte paste in this regard. Hair can be restyled throughout the day.

I use this every day for my hair and sometimes my beard depending on length. Really easy to use in the morning on dry or damp hair, a better hair style from this product then gels and waxes.
A solid hairstyling produc
I’ve used clay, wax and gel to style my hair over the years but this powder definitely has the hold that gel has, minus the shiny look and the weird crispy feeling that gel leaves in your hair.
I’ve got relatively thick hair, so I’m not sure what it’s like for thin hair, but if you’re trying to add a bit of texture or volume to your hair, this seems to get the job done well!
I guess the only bad thing is that the amount you get is quite small considering the price you’re paying

This is an amazing and yet affordable texturiser! I love that it is long lasting and easy to use! Just sprinkle it all over your hair near the roots and it’s done!

Even if you have thin hair it will give you that modern day thick hair looking style , This is the best out there , Best hair styling for that full on Matt look affect , Does not damage your hair , A little hard to wash out , But that’s if you apply quite a bit , You don’t need loads to perfect the style you need , worth the buy , worth the money .

I tried everything you can think of
In my opinion this is by far the best hair styling product if you like a casual, dry look. The only issue I can think of is that you will will wake up to a funny, messy look and will really need to get a shower the morning after (probably you should anyway) as it will be impossible to comb your hair again. bear in mind I have relatively long hai

Works well for texture and volume
Both my husband and I use this. It gives great volume and style to wavy, short hair but also texture to longer hair. Doesnt feel heavy & isnt visible one worked into the hair. Shame it’s so expensive, as it’s really easy to use and I would like to wear it in my hair every day.

Want to find something to set my hair easier, don’t like hair spray or gel as too strong and made hair dry. This product very easy to use, just put some on hair then follow the instruction to set your hair. Easy to wash out. Will buy again in future for my hair setting.

Great product for adding texture and allows for restyling easily
Bought some of this powder as I despise waxes/gels/mousses as they make my hair greasy and uncomfortable. Decided to try this product after seeing the ad on Instagram for it and it really does what the videos show (not a clue how as it feels just like baby powder). But there’s not grease, shine or nonsense. It’s textures and holds hair really nicely, of course because of its ‘light treatment’, I’ve topped off the hairdo with a couple licks of hairspray but it really gets that shape that you want. As a bonus, it rides of that greasy look after two or three days of not using shampoo (which gents, if you do use shampoo more than twice a week, you really shouldn’t). 5/5.
Side note: I have dark, thick and straight hair, faded back and sides and about two hands worth of length on top.

Good hold and texture
When I received the product the bottle was almost half empty which felt a bit miss leading which is a shame as this product really is great for a a long hold with lots of texture. People always complement my hair when ever I use this.

More than a styling powder...
Thickens hair. It stays manoeuvrable, textured and cool looking. It’s entirely thanks to this that I have a degree, a girlfriend and have kicked IBS. Needless to say it’s more than just a hair product. It’s a lifestyle. Your full potential happiness in life can’t be wholly actualised without this in your hair.

My daughter decided to have her long hair chopped off in favor of a shorter more manageable style. After trying a few products to style with including wax, mousse, gel and hairspray we discovered this product. She loves using it. It hold well during the course of the day, is very natural looking and feel to her hair using this. She uses it daily and after a month still has good half a bottle left. Great value for money.

It hold well during the course of the day, is very natural looking and feel to her hair using this. She uses it daily and after a month still has good half a bottle left. Great value for money.

Bought for a friend who swears by this and has tried many different products. Seems easy to use – just put it on and style. I think less is more, as it can clump a little and needs a thorough wash out.
My hair type: the individual hairs are very thin but I have a lot of follicles. Meaning my hair is very thick but is the worst type for being in the wind. Imagine the hair type of the lead singer of Hanson except my hair is styled like a very relaxed, short, wonky pompadour.
This product makes my hair look like I’ve got nothing in it. I think the name “slick” is misleading, it is completely matte (which I see as a very good thing). I can completely mess my hair up by chaotically running my fingers through my hair and this product makes it so that I can just push it back into position using my bare hands.
You only need to use a very, very small amount. If it’s raining you might want to use a bit more and apply it directly to the hair instead of putting it on your hands first. Strangely the rain isn’t a problem as long as when it is naturally drying you are keeping it shaped the way you want it. It washes out very easily as long as you use shampoo.

The powder is incredibly easy to apply and work into hair, It also manages to keep hair light whilst offering good holding strength. The matte finish is great and hair isn’t clumpy after applying.
The only issue is washing it out. After shampooing and conditioning, it is still noticeable when running hands through hair.

Amazing Product ! Easy to style the hair and creates texture & style. Great Hold ! . . However you only need a small amount of Slick Gorilla Powder is as it does make the hair quite greasy if you use a lot of the product. Highly Recommend !

Some sort of witchcraft I suspect. Leaves hair styled, in place but completely non greasy with a textured matte look. The best hair product I’ve ever used. And I’ve used them all.

Works great. Some of the reviews on here are insane. Yes it’s not full to the brim but what matters is whether it weighs what it says it does. Yes there’s powder on top of it and in the lid, but that’s to be expected….it’s powder!!!
we have had great difficulty styling the hair of the gorillas. This product made it very simple and easy, if only they made hair styling products for other animals!!

Very good product, gives you the desired hold, you have to be careful not to use too much otherwise your hair goes really stiff, you really don’t need to apply much at all so it has lasted me a long time, looks best if you have wax in already and add a dash of this.

Works almost instantly. I shake a little amount of this straight on my hair then just comb through with my fingers to give me the look I want. It washes out 100% better than wax and gives a more natural look.
