The chair was great easy to assemble comfortable to use
Comfy chai
My son loves this chair. It is easy to build and move around his room.
Very impressed
Bought this to replace my aging (over 20 years old) computer chair and very pleased I did, the chair is a doddle to assemble, took me about 15 minutes and everything was very well made and functions perfectly. A little on the large side but supports the back well and looks far more expensive than it is compared to others on sale. I like the fact that the arms fold up and the chair can be placed right under the computer table to save space, nice touch, in conclusion a very well made and good looking piece of furniture, buy one because you will be impressed, outstanding.
Not bad
Took 30 mins to assemble. Instructions easy to follow. The holes on one side of the back rest were slightly out and makes the stitching look lop sided at the bottom of the back rest and that is why only 4 stars. Solid chair for the price.
All Things Considered
All things considered; like for example I work for a retailer whose office chairs starts at around 90 and go as high as 1,300 and you can’t see the price difference in quality from pictures alone. So I went to one of the swanky stores and the 150 faux brown chair was OK, but only just about covered my backside and was rickety. This seat is much bigger and more sturdy, and more ergonomically designed to be sat in for hours. I don’t know how orthopaedic it is for someone disabled, but it’s comfortable enough for an able bodied person. Warning; the faux leather can make you sweat in hot weather, but that can be mitigated by a bathroom towel on the seat.
Very comfortable and affordable chai
We had been looking for a new desk chair. Some we saw were over 300 – ridiculous amount – so were delighted to find this one. Granted, it isn’t leather but it certainly looks like leather. It is so comfortable and adjustable. We love it.
A lot of chair for a little money.
Easy enough to put together – all the relevant parts provided with at least one spare of everything which is a lovely touch.
Comfortable with a broad seat area and the natural curve of the back piece is a great lumbar support. The back doesn’t recline separately from the seat which is exactly what I was looking for – it all tilts back together. The material is soft and the padding is just right (neither too much nor too little).
Good for playing guita
I searched online for a chair with armrests that could be easily moved. This was not because I wanted to slide it out of the way under a desk when not in use. It was because I needed a chair where I could sit comfortably and play guitar without the armrests getting in the way. I have been playing in online zoom video meetings using an office chair with fixed armrests and I was really fed up with the uncomfortable positions that I found myself sitting in. This chair was easy and straightforward to assemble. If anybody says otherwise then it might be their competence that is questionable. When the armrests are pushed 90 degrees upwards they protrude about 10cm beyond the back of the chair. This is not enough to get in the way when playing guitar but (pay attention manufacturer!) if they could go back 10cm more then it would be the absolutely perfect guitar chair. I give it 4 stars for this slight imperfection. Please not this review is with reference to playing an acoustic guitar and is not a review of its more regular home office function.
SONGMICS Racing Office Chai
Easy to put together and sturdy. Comfy and being used in my office as I’m required to work from home currently.
My wife has been working from home because of COVID-19. I made an office in the dinning room. I had an office chair, it was well used and soon broke the gas cylinder for up and down. We looked all over for a replacement. Amazon came up will many chairs so much so we chose one from them. This was a few weeks ago, we didn’t want to post a review to early. My wife loves the chair, she is very happy with it and says its so much better than our old one (even when new) it was easy to build up, there are spares ie an extra bolt, and wheel etc. This is great as so many products don’t add extra bolts you only need to lose one and your struggling. She had to sit on a cushion on our old one, not this one it has enough height settings to suit all our needs, and the material doesn’t make you sweat, all in all we would recommend this chair.
Great chair - Nightmare to assemble
Great chair, stylish and comfortable. But a real pain to put together. It seemed to me that the holes in the backrest, that attach to the armrest, were slightly out of alignment. It took a very frustrating hour to get it complete. However, once done I really like it.
Impressive chair - well worth the money
Relatively easy to assemble and looks sturdy and impressive.
Invaluable at this time of working remotely.
Would recommend this strongly.
Wide and Comfortable
Arrived early, good start. As with many people, I am homeworking now for a while and was shocked at the general price hikes of office equipment. This is a reasonably priced chair, build quality is good and apart from a little frustration with locating screws (about 10 mins worth) it was built and ready to go in under 20mins. It is quite wide, which is good, and has good lumber support for sitting at a desk. Overall a positive experience so far.
Big and comfortable
Best office chair I ever sat on! It is a bit on the big side, but it is extremely comfortable. Good quality materials and looks really good. Happy to recommend.
Nice chai
Only problem was the arms get loose after few months use
Absolute bargain!
Can’t fault this chair, easy to put together, looks perfect and is comfy!
Good value, solid, and worth the wait.
The self-assembly was relatively straightforward. All the parts were present, with a few spares (noted as such). The only tricky part was attaching the chair back: the instructions tell you to lie it flat on the seat, but that puts it at the wrong angle for the screws to meet their holes. You will need either some cushions or a second pair of hands for that part and I had some undoing to do the first time as I hadn’t got everything perfectly lined up.
As self-assembly goes, I’d still say it was pretty good because it’s well made and everything fits together as it should.
It’s a nice chair and very solid. We had to wait for three months for delivery because it was out of stock and it was worth it. The arms that fold out the way are going to be very useful when my husband sits on it to play guitar but the rest of the time they will be wanted, and I like that they are padded.
All in all, a good buy.
Mega silla!
Very Comfy chair!
Very comfy office chair, the liftable arms ensure it can be tucked away or moved in closer to the desk. Back support is good and very comfy seat. Easy to assemble.
Box is nearly 20 kg, includes:
– Back seat
– Bottom seat
– 1x metal base
– 2x arm rests
– 5x castors (+1 spare)
– 1x piston
– 1x star base
– 1x plastic piston cover
– 1x packaged screws, cowers and wrench (+1 extra of each)
Positives:
– Easy to assemble
– Wide, long and comfortable seat (may be too long for some people)
– Good back seat (for this price, they could’ve thrown in a free head pillow)
– Very nice stiching
– Very good castors, slides smoothly on carpet and floor
Negatives:
– Armrests are kinda effy for 2 reasons:
1: It looks like its metal, but its plastic (strong one) painted metallic
2: It looks like the pad on the armrest is huge (4 cm height). In reality, half of it is part plastic with the black faux leather on top. The actual foam part is only 2 cm in height.
– Back seat doesn’t incline by itself, only tilts with the base
– Smells very warehousy
It is early days yet (Just arrived today) but thought I would review my first impressions.
The chair seems to have two complaints I have seen, that the seat is too wide, and that the seat is too long. Being quite tall myself, I find the seat excellently sized although it isn’t much larger than most office chairs I have used, to be honest.
The full-back backrest is very comfortable, well cushioned and with a slight curve, providing lumbar support. The backrest, unfortunately, is not adjustable, this is because of the arm design, however, it does make the chair far more sturdy than most office chairs supported by a single spine, attached to the central support. The chair does recline however, the pressure lever can be pulled in and out to lock/release the chair from its full upright position. The arms both to raise up out of the way making it easier to tuck under a desk. The range of height is very good too.
The instructions were very clear, and the screws, washers and covers all came in segmented packaging making assembly straightforward. Two spare wheels were included too, which is fantastic.
I would, however, recommend that before assembly, do look at the instruction diagrams for attaching the back. It is much easier to do it how the instructions say than how I would probably have tried otherwise. I would also recommend having a second person about, as I found I needed to apply some pressure to hold the back in place whilst screwing it in, having a second pair of hands could make this much easier.
I will update if things change, but so far this chair is better than I expected and I will certainly look out for SONGMICS in the future.
Great chair, don’t follow the instructions
Great chair, don’t follow the instructions. Get the lateral and horizontal supports on your knee then bolt them together (use a hexbolt on your electric drill) Tighten them up and drop on top of the pole ram on the case.. job done 6 minutes
Really comfortable chai
Probably the most comfortable chair I have had, it was easy enough to make but there seems to be issues with the way it fitted together. I couldn’t find a way to fix an issue where you press on the right arm rest and the whole chair moves because it is held together by the arm rests.
Sit In Style
A really solid comfortable chair. Looks good as well and is excellent value for money. The assembly instructions could do with a bit more detail and DON`T tighten the bolts when you are fitting the arms to the base and back-just get them to hold, fit all the parts and then do a final tighten.
Very happy
Really nice chair for the price I paid. Very comfortable and easy to put together. Feels very solid and well made. Looks really good and premium
Beautiful chair, but a bugger to fit together.
Arrived next day, and we’ll packed. It’s true what others say on here, the arm rests are a bugger to screw together. Take your time, lay it on its side and preferably have a friend to help. Once together it’s solid, comfortable and every bit as nice as the pictures. Don’t know how long it will last, but so far so good.
Just finished assembling this thing. Getting the arms on was an adventure – laying the chair on its side does the trick – but the rest was pretty straightforward.
For a thin 1.85m 65kg student, this chair is rather more thronelike than the cosy desk chair I had in mind. The seat is pretty wide and the armrests too far apart as a result, which means I’m unable to type with an elbow on each armrest. This chair is something I’ll grow into only once I gain a bunch of weight, but I trust it to last until that day. Do check if the width is right for you.
Nevertheless, this chair is sturdy and rolls well. It doesn’t creak while rocking and provides good back support when sitting up straight. The stuffing is firm and comfortable and the stitching good quality, though the grey finish on the armrests looks a tad cheap up close. I got the all-black version, which doesn’t scream “gamer” at you and so would probably look fine in an office environment. Doesn’t fit under my desk (width-wise), but that’s my mistake again; don’t buy this assuming you’ll be able to squash in the seat cushion to squeeze it into a smaller space, because the base of the cushion feels like it has a metal frame.
