A great and simple to use spraye
Great size (5l). Carrying strap makes use nice and easy. Set up is straightforward. The pressure gradually drops when in use, however, all that is required is to pump it again. (15/20 pumps). The spray is fine, as you would wish.
First class produc
I bought a second one of these for use with strong weedkiller. The wand allows for keeping the spray close to the ground helping to avoid plants you don’t want to kill.
easy to use
although I haven’t used this yet due to having loads of rain, its just what I needed to use for me to be able to spray weed killer to enable me to keep the weeds down in more than the part of my garden plus other parts where weeds grow. Being disabled it will be great and easy too for what I need it for Thanks
Works well
Seems well put together but the issue i have is the spray nosel is not what I expected and I can’t seem to adjust the spray pattern as it just sprays side ways,without any forward direction.
Pressure seems to be okay easily maintained whilst using item.
Well made
Replaced a cheap one which collapsed on me with this similar, but better quality pressure spray.
No assembly involved, simply fill it , pump it and spray it.
A powerful jet even after a good few squirts although, as is normal, a couple of pumps from time to time keep up the pressure and flow.

Saves time/easy to use
These spear & jackson 5 litre pump action sprayers with pressure release valve & adjustable shoulder strap are a very good product & are good quality & told not flimsy like others we have had. We have 4 of these the first were back in 2016 & they are still going strong. We have 4 so that they don’t need as thorough clean from solution etc because they are used for the same product the next time we have it marked on them with permanent marker so no mix up, contamination etc. Told a great feature is they have an adjustable spray nozzle so you can set it to the flow you require from spray to mist. & that another handy feature is on the side of the bottle it has litres & fluid ounces so you can mix products in the bottle. & that they hold 5 litres so they don’t need to be frequently refilled & it has a good length spray hose so you can rest the sprayer on the ground so saves the back. & that after pumping it a few times it does spray for a decent amount of time. Told they are a godsend & certainly make jobs a lot quicker meaning less exertion/strain on the body. Told they do have the odd leak hence why we gave the 4 stars & not the 5 stars but the pros out certainly out way the odd con. They can be used for many a thing told ours have been used to spray water seal/spray cleaning product to clean patios/spray thin paint for fencing/spraying weeds etc the choice is yours, whatever works best for you.
It’s a good sprayer, it holds alot of liquid, is quite sturdy and you can put alot of pressure into it. The strap is very handy and the pump mechanism also acts as a handle. One thing they could do would be to include different size nozzles to help with applying different products. The supplied nozzle is very fine which isn’t great for applying some products. It is adjustable but still too fine. Also the spraying rod is a bit too short for taller people. meaning you have to bend over slightly. Another 20-30 cms would have been perfect.
I used this sprayer for spraying fence cleaner on my wooden fences to get rid of the green mould. They are looking so good now I won’t have to paint them and what is even better the fence cleaner wasn’t harmful to my plants so that made it even easier to spray on. It was very easy to assemble. The seal was good and no leakage. It only holds 5 litres and there is a strap on it to sling over your shoulder but I found it easier just to carry it by the pump action handle once it had reached its full pressure and was locked in position. Its well made and performed well when I was using it.
Summary:
I’ve been using this pump action pressure sprayer for a while now and I must say, it’s pretty solid! It’s been a handy tool in my gardening routine, making watering and fertilizing a breeze.
What I Liked:
First off, the 5-litre capacity is a big plus. It’s just the right size for my small garden, meaning I don’t have to keep refilling it. The pressure it builds up is impressive too, giving a good, strong spray that covers a decent area. The adjustable nozzle is a nice touch, allowing me to switch between a fine mist and a more direct spray. The build quality is also commendable. It feels sturdy and well-made, not like it’s going to fall apart any time soon.
Didn’t Like:
However, there are a couple of things that could be improved. The pump handle is a bit on the small side, which can make it uncomfortable to use after a while. A larger, more ergonomic handle would be a welcome improvement. Also, the instructions that came with it were a bit vague. A more detailed guide, especially on how to maintain and clean the sprayer, would be helpful. Lastly, the strap could be a bit more robust. It does the job, but I’m not sure how long it will last with regular use.
Overall, despite a few minor gripes, I’m pretty chuffed with this pressure sprayer. It’s made my gardening chores a lot easier and I’d definitely recommend it to others.
Very good
This sprayer is very good, easy to operate and does the job well, It is, however, not a Spear and Jackson iem. Obviously, the S & J sprayer was not in stock and an alternative brand was sent in its place. I’ve no problem with that in this case, as the alternative is fine, but that really shouldn’t happen.
Pretty decent for the price
Works well, arrived well packaged and intact. Would have scored 5 stars except the spray holder on the side seems to be too stiff to push the spray wand into it for storage which is a bit annoying because otherwise it’s a great product and sprays much better than others I’ve used.
This is a sturdy product – easy to assemble and use. The strap is useful for carrying when using the full 5 litre capacity.
I would only recommend this for spraying small areas or when going around the garden spraying odd areas, like individual weeds or plants. If you are trying lawn products this will take a long time to give sufficient dosage and coverage on anything other than a small lawn. The spray isn’t powerful enough for most lawns to be covered in a sensible amount of time. Larger sprayers designed for lawn maintenance would be better.
Great value for the money
I found this product very very reasonably priced for what it does. If I had a gripe about it, is that I am over 6ft tall and could have done with another foot on the lance to save me stooping slightly but this is nothing I cannot put up with as it isn’t an every day use item, 4 times a year which I can bear.. Thumbs up from me.
Good for price but with issues.
Have used for weed killer and have found to be good enough for price.
I wound up having to use ptfe plumbers tape around all the seals mainly the one with the hose as was leaking at high pressure. This has fixed the issue but you also really need to tighten the filling and pressure attachment.
Flimsy but so far so good.
Have to be careful not to damage when using as the wand is flimsy. In spite of that, it’s lasted 2 summers so far and been very useful. I have a large area to keep weed-free & this works well.
Short wand
This does do the job as far as pumping up the pressure and spraying with the wand.
However, the wand is definitely too short and the straps could have been better designed to be converted into a back pack.
Mind you, once I’ve bought the extended wand from Amazon, maybe the need for a back pack strapping will be negated.
Did the job
Bought to spray patio with Wet and Forget. Seemed to give good coverage and did most of the area in one go. Had to pump a couple of times throughout spraying to maintain the pressure, but overall I was happy with it.
Value for money spraye
Used the sprayer about 4 months after I purchased it. The pressure release valve broke, the first time I used it. Contacted customer support at Spear and Jackson who promptly sent me the replacement. Have used it since without any problems. For the cost, the built quality is fine and it works well. Customer service was great. My only slight convern is that I could done with a slightly longer plastic tube attached to the spray end – I am 5′ 9″ and found myself bending a little to ensure there was no overspray of the weed killer on a slightly windy day. But it works well and does what it says on the box, hence 5*.
Spray away those weeds!
Using this along with SBK weed killer has kept my garden and driveway free of weeds for 2 seasons now. The bottle is very durable, easy to use and fill with a handy strap to tote around on the shoulder while spraying. I have had others. This is the bes
Good value
A similar product in my local country store is selling for around three times the price so this was worth a shot.
Does the job perfectly well with less pumping than my old one.
One gripe is the storage of the wand. A small fixture on the side would have meant this could be held vertically instead of horizontally in the handle. This would mean storage in a shed or cupboard would be more convenient.
As it is the wand does not readily stay in the handle and I have had to adapt this with the help of some hot glue to create a better fitting.

Spreads the weedkiller like a boss
Just used this pressure sprayer yesterday. I usually purchase Roundup weedkiller in that pre-packaged box that has an attached pump and mini sprayer (works ok, but you have to pump many times and quite often and the spray isn’t great). Well, yesterday, I felt a bit irritable about having to do the same laborious process and remembered the S&J sprayer that was sitting in my garage (never used before) and filled it with the pre-mixed Roundup instead and then pressurised it. I fiddled in the kitchen sink with the sprayer first, to get the knob to spray a broader spray rather than a singular jet stream then stepped outside onto my weed filled gravel and sprayed the effected weed area like a boss for what could have been nothing more needed than 5 minutes. It has (when pumped properly) a very effective spray and longevity and saved me time and effort due to its efficiency. Delighted with this sprayer, it does the job and from now on I will just be buying weedkiller and using the S&J sprayer instead. I also like the fact that it comes with a shoulder strap, as a fully filled sprayer is quite heavy, so having it secured on my shoulder helps a lot with walking around, ‘pointing and destroying’ with my nozzle all those nasty weeds. Would recommend.
Effective for small areas
Needs re-pressurising frequently, and there is no meaningful variability in usable spray setting ( ie the broader setting is not controllable) so useful for spraying small hard patio areas / garden features to remove algae – which was why i bought it- , probably less effective for a larger space. Probably fine on the ‘less controllable’ setting as a foliar feed , have not used as such.

It does the job
This was bought for my wife as a step up from a small hand held spray gun but not as heavy as a large back pack sprayer. Given it has a shoulder strap to make it easy to move around I think it fulfills the function well. Certainly it is a good lady like tool for the garden.

Ease of use, worth buying
Bought this to seal my brickwork on garage instead of brushing sealant onto brickwork, worked a treat & plenty of room for sealant – water or what ever you choose to spray.
Good spraye
This feels like a good strong spray with a nice flexible pipe attaching spray wand to the bottle. So many cheaper makes have inflexable pipes that are hard to use.

Good quality
Use this a a sprayer for dragon blood alloy wheel cleaner. Works well,better than the sprayer I have for the garden, might swap them over. Good quality and worth the money.
Great for misting reptile enclosures
The misting on the nozzle can be set ultra fine which is great for misting my reptile enclosures. When I need to fill water bowls or water plants, can easily adjust the nozzle to a jet.
The pressure is kept for quite an extended time so not having to constantly pump.

Bought this sprayer for one reason. To spray conservatory muck remover on the roof. It can be used on other applications, so I may well spray the garden fence with paint later in the year. But for its use and all else. A good buy and not expensive.

Makes my work on the garden definitely alot easier and this was a replacement even better than the previous and also a watering can as the flow is more concentrated so goes further.

I use it to clean my horse which obviously is not its intended purpose but it is fantastic, I’ve had it for a good couple months now and used it everyday, it’s gentle but powerful and super easy to use and adjust the nozzle on. It’s survived getting chewed and dropped a fair few times and is surprisingly durable, I lt has now broke so new one again it is, little tip don’t carry it from the pump but unless it’s locked or it might break lol like mine did.

So easy to use. I use it to spray sealant onto the flat roof of my shed which is too high for me to use a step ladder to get on to. Easy to clean and put away.
