Good quality and size
Easy to use amd perfect size for what I wanted – using for spray cleaning patio with patio cleaner. Sturdy and well made
Good spraye
Purchased this as a training aid for the wife. A few blasts in the face with this results in corrected behaviour. For the man of the house it gives your arms a good workout, pumping that bad boy up and down, up and down, up and d…. (Sorry daydreaming there!).. for what seems like a good amount of time (in reality about 7 seconds), I alternate arms to ensure I don’t end up like Popeye on the left and Donald Qualls on the right. I also use this as a carpet sprayer before carpet cleaning, weed killing, anything really that you need to get wet. Great purchase, well made, sturdy.
A good buy!
Bought the sprayer and extendable wand to ease my back, when using the S&J liquid. It works well and the shoulder strap helps too. However, I’m not so sure about the two lugs on the screw top part, which are there to help you tighten it. I could see them breaking off if at some point if you tried to screw it more tightly than it needs. I’d have designed it better for that reason and made them more sturdy. Hence, I have only gave four stars for sturdiness in my honest review. Other than that, I can see me having the sprayer for a very long time, as it’s only used sparingly when needed. I should add, price wise it’s good value for money and recommended.

I was immediately impressed when it came, as I didn’t have to assemble it myself.
Apart from the spray wind, it was fully assembled.
I was testing it out (with tap water) within a minute of opening the box.

Purchased this item 5 years ago and still works fantastically, This is with daily use. I lost a part for it recently and contacted the manufacturer direct who (in under 72 hours!!!) had posted me the spare part free of charge. If I can recommend a product on Amazon it this product right here!!

I used mine for my tent. For water proofing.
It’s a powerful sprayer, with good psi, that reaches up a good few meters high.
Not had a single problem.
Cons
The sprayer part, the tubing and end are flimsy plastic like really thin plastic. Not sure how long it will last.
But not had a problem cannot fault it so far.

Does exactly what I needed it to
Shoulder strap was useful for being able to move around, spraying a large patch of brambles. Directed nozzle meant less waste of product. Good size, was able to pour entire bottle of weedkiller in, necknof sprayer was wide enough that none was spilled

Great garden tool - just be careful at end of use
Great pressure, the wand is a perfect length for me, the mist is fine enough to offer good coverage (if being difficult to see in poor light), and feels like it will last a good while. My only design complaint is that the pressure relief valve (when you want to open / refill having pumped the last bits of your fluid out) is difficult to operate without getting some liquid on your hands and without being close enough to it to be potentially breathing in air that’s been in contact with your fluid… in my case a decent weed killer. Not sure what the answer is and won’t put me off using it.
Ideal size and easy to use
Bought this to apply moss remover to my driveway. Allows quite an amount to be applied in one go. To use pump action to make application easy to use
I’ve been using a series of 1 litre spray bottles to water and spray plants in our green house but these never lasted very long. They all seemed to break after a few months use.
I’ve now been using this larger sprayer all summer and its far better.
The spraying lance helps give me more reach for plants on high shelves, the pressure is good and is retained very well.
The only downside I’ve experienced is with the pipe that draws the water from the main tank.
I use water from a water butt and so this isn’t perfectly clean. Therefore the fact the feed pipe filter gets blocked is inevitable.
The problem i have is that its so difficult to unscrew and remove this pipe and filter to clean it.
I have to use a wrench to unscrew it, being careful not to cause any damage as its plastic.
This is the reason I’ve knocked a star off.
The price for this sprayer was only 1 more than the old 1l sprayer I used to buy so value for money is excellent.

An ok product and don’t be fooled by the spear and jackson branding this is just another mass produced item with transfers applied. But it is a functional garden spray of the ok type for price, previously had the Amazon leading seller which is a few quid more and this is an ok substitute given that one or two parts are not of the same quality but it does the job as well as the dearer models so if you’re a bargain buyer or a canny shopper why not?

Well constructed, good fittings, perfect spray levels for all types of jobs, and the capacity lines are easy to read, unlike others I have used.

Brilliant, great value for money

Spray is easy to set from jet to very fine mist by tightening or loosening the lance, which itself is nice and long to reach the top of plants or fruit trees. Even when full time maximum light enough to carry without the need for the included shoulder strap.

Ha) I switched to this instead and was not disappointed. So easy to use by comparison, comes virtually assembled, which is handy for the non technical, non practical novices like me!
Used with a soluble fertiliser with no problem at all. Highly recommended!

Purchased to spray preservative on my fence. For the price I thought it was worth a try. Absolutely brilliant. Covered 5 fence panels in less than 10 minutes. Used clear preservative so over spray didn’t matter. If you were using a coloured stain or wood treatment then spend some time masking up the posts and gravel boards. I have to say I am very impressed.
Suits needs at a keen price
Inexpensive and good value for money, so it’s to be expected that some elements are a bit flimsy eg. the spray nozzle. Worked well, and did the job when used for first time yesterday.

Had one for years worked good decided to get two more one for home one for greenhouse on in greenhouse as PUC both seals no good water comes back up pump on inspecting bottom rubber crumpled up round washer to loose on fitting I have sent a email to you
Good value
Really good value for money. Fill with water, pump it to pressurize it and away you go. It isn’t the most powerful but great for cleaning bins or patio etc just have to be patient.
Fits the needs
A lot of packaging but then the neighbor’s dont know what it is. It was simple to assemble I needed to adjust the spray to my needs apart from that its definitely fit for purpose and great value for money

Ive been trying to get rid of thousands of weeds from my pebbled garden and this works amazingly must be Golden Swan white vinegar to do the job. (Ordinary vinegar won’t work)

Works well
I was going to buy a no-name sprayer for about 10 but this one suddenly dropprd in price (again) so I went for it. It’s a good buy at around 11 but I have no idea why the price keeps bouncing up and down.

I have had this product for 13 months during which it has been used no more than 8 times.
The compression pump has now failed rendering the product useless.

Used for applying wood preservative to a Pergola instead of using brushes
For all my life, I’ve used brushes to apply wood preservatives to fences, gates etc. For the first time in 50 years I tried applying using a pressure spray and I will never go back. I wish I had thought of this approach years ago, it is easy, clean to use and gets into every crevice and I treated the whole thing in about 40 minutes. (I used a light creosote substitute).
Some suggestions if you decide to try this:
Don’t spray on a windy day and dress correctly to save yourself getting ‘preserved’ yourself. I recommend these protection items:

I cleaned the pressure sprayer out by filling it half full with water and adding a generous quantity of washing-up liquid and then spraying this through the sprayer until empty. Finally rinsing it with warm clean water.
I will never go back to brushes again!!

It is easy and straightforward to use. My only concern is when opening it, it is a bit harder as there is an object on each side blocking your grip.
Pressure spraye
This pressure sprayer is so simple to assemble. It’s easy to use and has very clear instructions. It has a shoulder strap which makes it comfortable to operate. Very good value fir money.

Does the job well
I bought this to spray a picket fence with algae remover – it saved me a lot of hard work. Do just be mindful of overspray and potect plants, including the other side of the fence.

Love this spray bottle, wish I’d bought one years ago instead of smaller cheaper versions. No assembly required, very straightforward, works a treat with zero effort. Tested it out first with water, and the kids had tremendous fun chasing each other around with it. Then put a bottle of SBK in it, and tackled my garden, as the grass has vanished under dandelions. Very easy to use, and to target the spray so that it doesn’t touch other plants. Just beware if there is a breeze, else the misting spray can be blown slightly. Beware, once you start using it you don’t want to stop! I ended up doing the edges of all my paths & steps, and was then stalking around like a frustrated serial killer looking for another victim.

Good product easy to use but does take a bit of pumping to get the pressure up for the spray so maybe not good for people with shoulder problems or arthritis but otherwise excellent spraying.
5* Produc
We have 1 of the big back pack type sprayers but this due to ill health has got too heavy for me to use, the only other item I had was a small hand held sprayer but for the amount of times it needed to be re-filled to cover the whole of our front and back gardens was too much work, so this was a great alternative, it’s easy to use, very portable and not too heavy even when full, it gives a good spray which is adjustable, perfect job all round and I only had to re-fill it once.
Functional and good value for money.
It was a good value for money purchase and works perfectly and is easy to use. Because the sprayer swivels 360 degrees it makes the job of spraying both the top and underside of leaves to get at hidden bugs a doddle. It does what I wanted it to do adequately and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend one to someone else for the same use.

Coming from Spear & Jackson I expect it to last somewhat longer than other makes. Time will tell. It will get heavy and varied use in a large garden.

Excellent! Does what it’s supposed to do & does it well!
I use this for spraying white vinegar onto weeds around & between paving slabs & onto my front garden area which is purely pebbles. I previously used a small hand sprayer which made my hands & wrists sore with constantly squeezing the trigger. I don’t know why it took me so long to think about buying this but I’m so glad I did! Simply fill with the vinegar.or any other liquid you are using (up to 5 litres), push the pressure pump lever up & down for around 20 times & spray intermittently by pressing the red lever on the wand or move the lever for a constant spray. When you’re finished, just pull up the red button on the bottle to release any pressure inside. (I don’t use weed killer because I have a cat & dog who walk over these areas all the time!)
UPDATE 3/9/21. Unfortunately, despite following all instructions, this item now doesn’t work! The plunger unit still plunges but any pressure beginning to build up just disappears and so I am unable to spray anything from the unit. The bottom of the actual plunger has a plastic/rubber type seal which now has become out of shape & there are a couple of leaks at the edge. I have tried sealing the end over with strong electrical adhesive tape but still nothing works. The little red plunger at the side of the bottle which is used to release the internal pressure still functions but as there is no pressure inside the bottle anymore, nothing hisses out. I’m really disappointed especially as I bought one for a friend as well & hers doesn’t work either now! I would not have expected this from a Spear & Jackson product but what a waste of money only getting a few weeks of use!

I used an animal safe/kennel lemon disinfectant which smells fresh and clean. This can also be bought on Amazon UK. Works well together and I am happy with my new toy! Easy to use. Great as it’s got a shoulder strap too. Fantastic product. Highly recommended

An efficient spraye
This is a serviceable appliance, does what it is supposed to do. Perhaps not quite as robust as others on the market but with care should have a reasonable longevity. An acceptable product for the price.
Effective way of spraying my fence
Used this to spray oil based woodstain onto fence panels, does the job fine – if you are doing it with the fence up please be aware you are likely to get spray going through or over the fence and could pepper your neighbours garden, I did this a few years ago but this time laid the panel on plastic and sprayed!

It does the job but for how long?
This unit is cheap and cheerful. For the most part it seems well constructed, well at least as far as the pressure bottle is concerned.
Where I have issues are:-
1. The handle for pressurising the unit is very flimsy. Once you get past 10 pumps (recommended max 25) The handle flexes badly. It is weakened by the fact that it is cut out to act as a holder for the spray lance and the plastic is very thin. I am going to have to make a bar to fit into this slot to strengthen it.
2. The trigger for the spray is poorly designed. It seems designed to lock so that it cannot be pressed and it will also lock to keep a constant spray. So far so good – no issues here. What I do not like is that if I press the trigger on the area designed for pressing (grip lines across the trigger) there is a tendency for the trigger to slide forward and go in to lock on, when just pressing the trigger. So that, if all you wanted was a short burst you suddenly find it locked on continuous spray – great when using it for weed killer. This gets even more prevalent when using gloves.
Poor quality
Poor quality seal on top of bottle. Doesn’t hold any pressure now and is useless. Literally used it the once and been sat in garage since. Next time I came to use it it just sprays out from underneath the main filling pump handle cap. Rubbish
Absolutely fantastic pressure pump for whatever your needs are!!
What a amazing pressure pump this is. Only needs a few pumps and it’s good to go only needing pumped a few times. Worked great for treating my weed infested garden. You can control the amount of spray pressure you require which is fantastic in my opinion ooh and it has a very handy thing so you can hold it comfortably as it sits on your shoulder like a handbag! if your hesitating, just go on and buy , you will not be disappointed!!
Great little sprayer..
I needed to spray trees and shrubs in my garden for aphids. This unit arrived promptly. Easy to use and was spraying within 30 minutes of delivery.
The nozzle has good adjustments for type of spray.

It was what I wanted for general household/garden use. I needed it for woodworm treatment of beams in my garage. It’s light (before filled) and easy to handle with shoulder strap.

I was a bit apprehensive about this product as it is the first pressure sprayer I have bought, but I was really very pleased with it. It is very easy to use – both in terms of filling it, pumping it up to build the pressure and using the shoulder strap to carry it around while you spray. The spray action is excellent and the seals on the screw top around the filling/pump hole and the pressure release valve all work great. Very good product.

The plastic bits may have been a different colour and the company name and logo different too but they are the same sprayer. An obvious case of the manufacturer re-badging for different sellers. However it’s a good product if treated with respect. This is my second one and in the future I’ll buy it again – at the best price – if I need to. I suppose the advantage is that now I have some spare parts.

I was a bit dubious about ordering this as a replacement for our Killaspray, but I needn’t of worried. OK so it doesn’t seem as robust as our Killaspray in terms of the wand which is plastic rather than metal, but other than that it does the job well and at an excellent price. The spray isn’t difficult to adjust and the carrying strap is an advantage as you don’t need to keep picking it up and putting it down. Overall a good product which is great value for money in comparison with other similar products.

I’ve used this twice now and it produces precision spray quality. it is sturdy and has mechanical physics engine technology: pump the air in via the handle to produce a strong sprayer result, with an air release toggle. All for around 20. I’d recommend.

Good, reasonable sized sprayer for home use
Good value sprayer. Used this a couple of times now and had no problems. Mist can be set really fine if needed and I’ve enjoyed using this product. Would recommend

Iv never used anything like this before and was a bit apprehensive about how well it would work but I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and efficient it really was.. only thing I will say is wear gloves as I noticed that a few times I was having liquid running onto my hand and it was the bit at the trigger had loosened but when tightened again it stopped, other than that it was great!

A brilliant produc
Very pleased with this item. It is very reasonably priced and is sturdy and well made. Easy to put together with clear instructions. Now I don’t need a ladder to water my hanging baskets.
Good for weeds
Very good product that’s handy to use. It’s large enough to make up your own weed killer and within one use made it’s money back. Make sure that ingredients like salt are dissolved or mixed correctly do as not to block the line filter but easy to unblock with warm water. Satisfied that it’s good value and quality.

A very good buy
Does what it says. The liquid content when pumped does not fully mist out so you get some dropping without spraying as you would have wanted. I like it and don’t expect it to spray paint evenly. I will recommend it highly for watering, fertiliser and others of such nature.

I think this may have been one that has been used and returned as it was also slightly wet inside. One other thing and others have noticed this is the nozzle for adjusting the spray is very stiff. That said, the sprayer is very good and is doing its job.

Performance
I expect better quality from an S&J product . Somewhat disappointing in its performance. If you don’t use it after pumping the water pressure handle it doesn’t retain the pressure when you want to use it , so it has to be pumped up again. This applies to me hand one and then 5 ltr In respectively. I’ve had cheaper brands that have performed better.

Flimsy pump handle
Works well but pump feels a little flimsy, and I fear the seal may not last. Good so far after 2 months use.
