Handy size
I wanted this type of trimmer because the full size electric trimmers are too large and heavy for me. This looks just the job. Well made. Well, but not over packaged. The only criticism would be that it was very difficult the first time to change the blade. The cover required a lot of force to remove it. Once the initial change had taken place the cover was easy to remove and change the blades subsequently

I used the main blade to trim some bushes and weeds and the grass blade on weeds growing in between the patio slabs, both performed well.
It’s nice and light too.
I did however find the blades fiddly to replace.
Swift cordless shrub shears
I would like to re review this product. Aside from the battery life it is a very helpful item . It is clearing a lot of weeds and a very good edging tool. I have changed it to 4 star now because it’s saving me a lot of time instead of digging and whacking the weeds I just run it and it cuts and clears.
The green battery light only shows after 2 full days of continuous charging! It’s not swift it’s SLOW! I bought this product based on the reviews of how it charges within 4 hours! Really! It took 2 full days to charge and only lasted 20 mins. It does work getting rid of the weeds! When I first got it I checked out the base there were scratch marks there it wasn’t a new product. Never trust Amazon and eBay along with Argos they give out their used products to unsuspecting customers. Shame on them

Great battery life
Does a lot of cutting of privet, Hawthorne and conifer hedges before requiring recharge. Great to have no cord in the way. Blade cuts nicely.
Excellent all round garden tool.
I don’t normally write reviews however in this case I feel I need to write one! The hedge trimmer is well made lightweight and the battery will last a reasonable length of time all round excellent garden tool.

These have a feel of quality about them. The battery is larger than on most trimmers. What I do like about them is the ability to turn the head through 90 degrees making it easier to do the vertical cuts.

I have always been very impressed with swift tools, I already own a lawn mower and grass strimmer that use the same 40v swift battery.
The tool feels like it’s made of very high quality materials and is very comfortable to hold. The handle rotates so that you can do the edges and top of bushes.
Battery life is excellent on these tools. I can mow and strimm my front and back lawn with just 1 battery, and I now have 3 batteries! The hedge trimmer is just as good when it comes to battery life as these tools use 40v 80wh batteries.

We have got two of these. One which I use on some land about a mile from our home, and one which my husband mainly uses at home.
I bought mine first, as I have an acre of mostly bramble and bracken which I am gradually bringing under control. It is marvellous for clearing this stuff – far easier to use than a petrol strimmer, and less likely to injure wildlife.
Then one day I brought it home to trim back a hedge outside our gate that was beginning to get in the way of reversing the car in. My husband was impressed, and wanted to borrow it, although he had a corded hedge strimmer of his own.
Eventually I ordered one for him, and now the shrubs in our front garden are all fancy shapes.

Yes, it really cuts through 22mm branches
Just wrestled with an ivy infestation and was amazed by the thickness of some of the stems that it sliced through. It does stuff some petrol powered ones cannot and that was a big surprise. Battery life is also much better than expected. I also own the smaller mower and the strimmer and cab’t really fault any of them so far.

Excellent quality and really easy to use the only thing I’ve found is getting use to the strimmer as if you get to close to anything solid blades break off but once you get use to it it’s brillia

The hedge cutter is fab really pleased with it. Even though it’s pretty lightweight I would prefer a strap to help me with holding, balancing & carrying. The strummer is also good but because it’s not a wire if it touches anything at all ie fence panel the plastic blades just break. It does a good job in the middle of an area. All in all the hedge trimmer makes up for the strimmer and both are nice little products.

I bought the hedge trimmer and strimmer and am very pleased with both. I cut a large laurel hedge with the trimmer and am very pleased with the result. I am a small person and found both tools easy to use and not too heavy.

Ordered 14/06/20 arrived 19/06/20 earlier than expected which is a good thing came with one battery and charger only took an hour to fully charge battery tried out today cut the hedges no problem easy to use nice and light used strimmer on garden found it quite awkward at first but soon got used to it more for a big garden I think I’ll need yo get more blades though only came with 3 sets of blades th strimmer easy to put together the handles a bit awkward putting together all in all a a excellent product I ordered a extra battery off Ebay but I think I had no need to as I done the front and back garden and only used 2 bars on the battery i am well pleased with the swift strimmer and hedger highly recommended just hope it last a couple of years I registed online and got a extra 12 months guarantee.
What a machine
This is the first piece of electrical garden equipment probably brought to our postcode and it has proved everyone wrong, this machine absoultely killed it. It has went through probably >1.5cm diameter docking leaf stems, which is what we thought would be its undoing, and not a bother to it.
The assembly took about 5 mins, I have seen people take about how fidgety it is which is understandable as the provided wrench can slip but this does not compare to the time it takes to get a cold petrol one going.
Top job, im away to buy the leaf blower.
good bit of kit for quick tidy up
Good battery life, is good for keeping on top of your bush with weekly trim, stuggles a bit on any privat over 1/2 an inch, I use it for a quick trim and finishing off and leveling the hedge. Glad I bought it.
First off this product offers the option to use the same power pack, which is a great bonus, the power pack itself charges quickly and I have not had it run out on me and my garden is pretty overgrown and large. I have also used the power pack in the lawn mower as well after cutting back the overgrowth with both trimmers and have had no problems with the battery running out.
The grass trimmer itself is light and well balanced, its also such a ease to handle that it helped turn a job I was dreading into a pleasurable one as it cuts straight through the undergrowth like butter. This is the same for the hedge trimmer which I found to be more powerful than I anticipated and had no problems in helping me cut back some unruly bushes and hedges.
To summariise a great purchase at a affordable price that offers a high end product that is certainly up to the job
Really easy and efficient to use
This represents a very good value and efficient package. My main interest was in the strimmer, but the hedge trimmer has also been put to very good use. They are both light and extremely easy to use. I particularly like the detachable/replaceable blades on the strimmer – which are far less hassle than the old style plastic line, which tends to break frequently and needs resetting.
I would certainly recommend these machines.
I liked the 40v battery giving a powerful performance (for a cordless) and the clever plastic cutting blades are easy to replace (don’t have to very often). I have spent hours, if not days of my life struggling with replacing strimmer cords and spools, well not now. It’s surprisingly quiet and lightweight too. Well balanced with the battery. Charges fast, long lasting and the battery lights tells you how much is left. Really its a huge advance o the old strimmer.
The hedge trimmer is similarly light and efficient for a privet hedge -no more dragging miles of extension leads around the garden, up and down ladders. It seems impossible to buy a spare battery though. Even Swift tools don’t sell them online. There’s a new range of 120V tools and batteries, perhaps that’s why.

The strimmer arrived first so I was a bit worried about the hedge trimmer. I contacted the supplier who were very helpful and reassuring. The trimmer arrived later in a separate box. Both bits of kit work well, and are much more powerful than I imagined they would be. You have to be careful to keep the strimmer level or it is powerful enough to plough a furrow in your lawn. Not yet been able to see how long the battery lasts, but still running on the first charge at the moment. Seem like great bits of kit on first impressions.

Surprisingly very good!
Easy to use, lightweight, but with a decent amount of power. No problems on my laurel hedge, gliding through with ease. When I was looking, I was a little unsure of these – not one of the ‘known’ brands, but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. An excellent purchase. Delivery was also very prompt, a couple of days ahead of estimated date.
Right both tools look very modern with a clean and positive appearance. Battery charged with out any problems in a short period of time. In operation both excelled in their capabilities, my garden which I have severely neglected due to loss of my wife, was looking more like a jungle than an English garden. In one day these two tools helped me to make a very good tidying up, now all I need is time and knowledge as a non gardener of what next to do with the area now available for some planting and etc. So congratulations for the “Swift” Company for selling a product that gives user satisfaction at a reasonable price. If I ever need any other tools which they supply, then I will buy with complete confidence. OH almost forgot, the plastic blades on the Strimmer have not worn out after a lot of ground clearing work, still the original pair which come already fitted. So the extras which I also purchased plus the ones with machine should last quite a while. Can recommend all this equipment 100%.
Great equipment - powerful and good battery life
I needed a strimmer which could cope with coarse grass and weeds on my allotment paths, and this one certainly fits the bill. It has the power to slice through the grass with no problem, even if it is damp or long, or very tufted. Plus the battery lasts a long while and power is maintained until the end. I’m really pleased with the purchase. Because my previous Bosch strimmer (too lightweight) shared a battery with a hedgecutter, and the batteries were getting old, I decided to purchase the hedgecutter too. That also is powerful and works well. A bit heavier than the Bosch, but more power. And again, the battery lasts a long while. One contented customer!
Good product, fantastic service.
The hedge cutter is easy to use and lightweight. Battery life was adequate to cut our large front hedge on one charging.
The strimmer failed after 20mins, but a replacement was provided within 24hrs. Excellent service. I have now used the replacement on a large allotment for 6 weeks without any difficulties. Completion takes approximately 1hr 20mins and two battery charges.
My only grouse would be the price of additional batteries. It seems almost as if you buy a battery and get the appliances thrown in for (almost) free.

I have a fairly large garden and normally use petrol machines, but there’s times I wish I had something lighter and didn’t have to muck around with petrol. I wasn’t expecting much from the Swifts but I’m quite impressed. Sure the build quality matches the price point, but they do the job and quite well. What surprised me was how long the battery lasts. In addition, their customer services are awesome. I had a problem with one of my batteries and they were fantastic at sorting it. Thumbs up from me.

Value for money
My first strimmer stopped working so I returned it but I loved it so much I bought another one. If you have a small garden this maybe to big for you only reason is this is a beast I have a large patch of garden that’s need strimming it flew through it. The double blade system works really well and they are more substantial I was cutting down stuff only my Petrol strimmer could. I have got rid of my Petrol multi garden tool and know converting over to swift tools I have these 2 and a pole saw and blower I bought one with a battery and one without so I now have 2 batteries. Only drawback they take a while to charge. I am just waiting for them to introduce a self drive lawn mower then I will be buying that.
This duo of a grass trimmer and hedge trimmer has exceeded my expectations. I have never been happy with corded trimmers and found petrol machines a bit too heavy for me to use with confidence.
The grass trimmer is a good size with little plastic blades, rather than the plastic cord others have, yes if you hit something the little blade will ping off, but with the blade being blue its easy to find and put back on. When in use the trimmer is surprisingly quiet, with very little vibration in your hands. My little hand book was for a different machine, but the trimmer was easy to assemble, the main tube/shaft is in two, so the box was not to big for the delivery person. The trimmer has lots of power to slice through nettles and weeds, grass was really fast to trim down. Having it battery powered means that when the weather permits I can just grab the trimmer and keep the faster growing grass edges trimmed in my garden.
The hedge trimmer I was really surprised with how solid it feels when in use with plenty of power, it trimmed the soft growth of my privet & forsythia hedge with ease and even trimmed the odd accidental small tree branch that was growing through the hedge. I also liked how balanced the hedge trimmer feels when running. I am a 5ft 0 female, so ease of use is important to me.
The battery is a easy to charge and has a little indicator on the battery that can be pressed to see how much charge is left in it. I have the one battery to share between the two machines, I am not super woman so will not be using the two machines at the same time.
There customer service (I only contacted via Amazon,) is reasonably fast and the replies to my questions were very helpful

The strimmer is really powerful, takes a little getting used to but it is light and easy to use. It does come with a small number of then in the pack but I would recommend buying some spare blades as it is so powerful it’s easy to damage them at first until you get the hang of it. Assembly is easy aside from the handle which is different from that described in the instructions and is near impossibly fiddly to fit using the supplied spanners, however it is easy to fit using proper tools. The hedge trimmer is very good the only slight downside is that it is a tad heavier than a corded one. Overall these reduce the time wasted doing essential garden chores substantially as does the mower I bought from them previously. I had a small problem with the mower but customer service was first class, cannot be faulted. Buying this set with another battery is great as it gives me reserve capacity for the mower too although so far I’ve not needed it.
Overall the products seen well thought out and well made, I’d certainly consider more swift products I in future.
