Just bought a second one.
Bought my first one 3 years ago for work because I did not like the mouse used by the comany. I have used it 40+h a week, it has been through war. Now it got a bit slow, so I decided it was time for it to enjoy retirement. It’s well earned. So I got the purple one. I love it, it’s perfect just like my old one. Very comfortable, very reliable, long batery life, fast and good price. I am very pleased with it.
Brilliant mouse for the money
My last 2 Tecknet mice had started to fail after numerous beer/tea/water spillages and the scroll wheel started to become unreliable. I wanted to replace both (my work mouse and my gaming PC mouse), and given my budget doesn’t allow for 50+ Logitech mice, I decided to get 2 more Tecknet ones.
They are genuinely superb – forward/back buttons are well placed and work nicely (which does come in handy in web browsers). Scroll wheel, wheel click and left/right clicks feel positive and mouse movement is excellent.
Really pleased I replaced like-for-like (and saved myself a small fortune in the process). Would not hesitate in recommending them for work or light gaming
Perfect. Very happy with the Wi-Fi mouse. So comfortable.
The bes
My receiver was missing, and the customer support was amazing. They were super pilot and fast and sent me a whole new mouse for free within days. Very good mouse and the best customer service I’ve had in a long time.
Good functional mouse
Great mouse does everything it should and feels comfortable.
It is not a silent mouse so does have that annoying click, which I missed in the product description, but other than that in the few weeks I have been using it, it has been fine.
Loved the mouse but was faulty.
Loved this mouse and I have essential tremor and arthritis, it is difficult to find a mouse that is easy to use. So comfortable but unfortunately it was faulty. Contacted seller who was so helpful and friendly can not praise them more highly.
NIcely weighted and ergonomical design.
Bought this as a quick replacement for my previous mouse which developed a “No click” attitude. This is a lovely replacement and is very comfortable to use. For a cheep replacement this mouse has some added bonuses like the thumb mounted “Back/Forward” function and responsivness adjustment butto
Very sensitive but great to use.
This mouse was purchased to replace my then current wireless mouse which had suddenly died. this new TECKNET mouse [which came next day] is very sensitive but great to use. Comfortable and fits my hand well. I would certainly buy again and highly recommend it.
Decent stylish mouse
up there with the top mouse’s I’ve had over the years, so all good so far the guarantee is a plus too , deffo value and hopefully lasts the time batteries aswell.
So comfortable and lightweigh
I had one before and it eventually gave up after many years of use.
So I brought another but in purple.
It’s great design, lightweight and comfortable to use.
I love the grip design on the sides.
I use it for long hours of the day for part of my job as payroll.
Would definitely recommend.
Excellent mouse
I purchased this mouse due to my previous one not always connecting however I had it ten years so what do you expect. Anyway, had a look on Amazon and was faced with loads to choose from which can be a bit mind boggling. After a little research and looking at other people’s reviews I settled on this one. I ordered 11pm last night and it arrived by 10am the next morning. What can I say, I am very happy with this mouse. It feels well made, solid and easy to use. Literally plug in the USB thingy, turn the button on which is on the underside and your’e good to go. It’s easy to use, glides smoothly. I can easily and happily recommend this mouse to anyone in the market looking for a mouse.
Comfortable mouse. Good price.
Old mouse developed a loud squeak on the scroll wheel. Replacement required and this is just the job. Very comfortable to hold and use with plenty of speed adjustment. Good value.
They last around 27 months
This is my third TECKNET 2.4G mouse ordered from Amazon.co.uk (first bought in 2016). The left-click button on the TECKNET mice I’ve bought start failing / misbehaving at around 26 months (or it gives up the ghost completely) and then you’ll find bizarre events occurring within windows.
The battery life of this mouse is solid, and a single set of batteries seems to last anywhere between 10 months to 12 months, which I’m very happy about.
The mouse is very comfortable, even in my man hands. However, if you use the mouse a lot and or suffer with repetitive injury issues I recommend wearing a soft padded wrist band on your mouse hand so your wrist is slightly elevate and cushioned where it makes contact with the table surface when you are holding the mouse.
These are very good value mice. My Microsoft and Logitech mice before this lasted only around 11 and 13 months respectively, before the left-click buttons totally failed. I am a moderate user so I consider this mouse to be very reliable, and good value. It’s gone up a 1 since I bought it last but that is to be expected.
If you weight up the time these mice last and the overall cost it works out that these mice cost around 3.99 per year. I can live with that. Although (and this applies to ALL mice manufacturers) there is no reason I can see why the click buttons couldn’t be user replaceable…and the mice should come with spares (along with the feet pads). If these mice were user serviceable even in this basic way they’d last a very long time (before the plastic button wore away from your finger clicking it) and the landfill waste be reduced significantly. Just a thought.
It felt good in the hand but the wheel for scrolling didn't feel very smooth in use.
It felt good in the hand but the wheel for scrolling didn’t feel very smooth in use. I don’t think it is faulty. It may be just the ridges on the wheel itself that give this effect. I think a smooth finish on the wheel would feel better.
Neat and smooth
Old mouse died, ordered this one 11:00 am. delivered and installed by 7:00pm. Nice. I have used Tecknet products before and found them good value and straightforward to use. Not given many stars for gaming as I don’t game and not much for ‘sleep’ cos I am still awake!. Nice mouse.
you get what you pay for.
Replaced my old Logitech MX Performance with this one. Before that I had MK710 to which this mouse is very similar. Cursor doesn’t move as smooth as on both Logitech mouse’s, despite all kind of adjustments. On Logitech mouse sleep mode is deactivated by just moving mouse, on this you need to click a button to wake it up, and that button is actually pressed and as my screen is also on sleep, I don’t see where the cursor is and never know what I gonna click on.
I spent around 10 for this mouse and so far I have to say that it seems to have been money well spent.
My previous mouse was a low-profile wireless mouse that had started to become rather random in its actions. It didn’t quite break down; it just seemed to develop a mind of its own, doing what it wanted to do instead of what I wanted it to do. I guess it was the mouse equivalence of senility.
Unfortunately, when trying to find a new replacement mouse, I quickly discovered that there is a bewildering choice of alternatives out there. It really is daunting trying to find a model that suits your needs and budget, and also one that’s reliable and well-made.
I wasted the best part of an hour just trawling through mouse after mouse on the Amazon website. Eventually, I narrowed it down to three different makes and models. From that point on, the choice was relatively easy. Two of the mice I had shortlisted cost in excess of 60. That was way beyond my budget. That left this Tecknet mouse as the sole survivor of the selection process. I was tempted to spend a little more time to re-evaluate my decision, but by that time I was sorely fed up of using the trackpad on my laptop. And anyway, it only cost around 10. If the worst came to the worst and this Tecknet mouse turned out to be a proper turkey, I could always think again about spending perhaps a bit more on a ‘decent’ mouse. So, without further ado, I pressed the ‘BUY NOW’ button. And held my breath. And kept my fingers crossed.
It arrived the next day. Packaging? Nothing flamboyant. Just effective, functional, strong packaging. There was a handy fold-out instruction leaflet that was written in very good English and that was actually quite comprehensive. Impressive. And there was also a little card inviting me to register the product a.s.a.p. to benefit from a full 3-year warranty. Again, impressive.
The mouse takes 2 AA batteries, although none were included. This wasn’t really a problem – I’d rather select my own batteries and install them myself than have a dubious make of battery pre-installed. Inside the battery cover on the underside of the mouse is where the tiny transmitter/receiver lives whilst in storage. It’s pretty much standard in size, and plugs in and plays without any fuss whatsoever.
In use, the mouse is absolutely fine. It works, and it does everything it’s supposed to do. Size-wise, the mouse fills the palm of my hand nicely – I thought initially that it was quite a large mouse compared to my last one, but now that I’ve used it for a few days, it’s really comfortable. If I rest my hand on it, the entire body of the mouse touches all of the palm of my hand – my last mouse was quite shallow by comparison, so that it was only the tips of my fingers that touched the mouse – here, you really feel that the mouse is totally within your control. In short, the mouse is quite ‘humpy’ or ‘domed’ – I know this isn’t exactly techno-speak, but hopefully it conveys how ergonomic it is.
One of the things I really like about the mouse is the degree to which it slopes to the side – the top surface is not parallel to the mousepad, it’s got a pronounced curve so that it can sit nicely inside your palm. This makes it feel natural and much easier to grip naturally without having to bend your wrist into an uncomfortable shape. It’s really nice in use.
The materials it’s made from appear fine – the two main finger areas on the top of the mouse for normal right and left clicking are made from a lightly textured plastic – thankfully not shiny plastic. They work well, although the click it makes when selecting right or left click is louder than any previous mouse I’ve owned. It’s not deafening, but it’s certainly not good if you’re trying to work quietly. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest – the best way I have of describing it would be to call it a reassuringly positive click.
The thumb-rest on the left hand side of the mouse has a greater degree of texture to it than the top of the mouse, which is a small but still significant point. It all combines to give a really good sense of grip when holding the mouse.
The top scroll-wheel is nicely weighted and has a ridged surface on it for better grip. There is no free-play at all on the scroll-wheel – this is a very big plus in my book. It’s a sign of decent design and engineering. There are also two additional ‘thumb’ buttons (click-type) on the left side of the mouse – these are for forward and back movements, and they seem to work fine.
The underside of the mouse reveals the large-ish sliding cover for the batteries. Personally, I would have preferred a more secure clip to keep this lid in place; it’s almost as if Tecknet have decided to cut a few corners here, as the tolerances on the underside don’t quite match up to the rest of the mouse design. It’s not a major problem; the battery compartment opens and closes OK. The lid and catch just doesn’t seem as well finished as the rest. But I suppose that in order to keep costs to a minimum, compromises have had to be made.
The ON/OFF switch is also on the underside of the mouse. It’s of a sliding type, and although it’s quite small, it seems to work well enough.
I haven’t tried to alter the DPI on the mouse. I used it straight out of the box and it seems perfectly fine at whatever setting has been preset. Most of my work is in photo-manipulation, (Photoshop and other software) and the mouse is absolutely fine for this. It’s accurate the way it is and I really don’t see any real need to delve into other DPI settings.
I always switch the mouse off when I’m away from my laptop, so I have no idea if there is an AUTO-OFF setting that kicks in. I think there is, but personally I don’t really see the need for it.
Overall, this has turned out to be a pleasant surprise, and it’s of a far better standard than I expected for 10. It’s pleasant in use and does the business without any real fuss. Perhaps the best compliment I can give it is to say that after a while of using it continuously, I forget it’s there. It just seamlessly merges into the palm of my hand. All in all, this is an excellent mouse, and an exceptional bargain.
I hope you’ve found this brief review to be useful.
Unnecessary thumb buttons
The size and shape of this mouse is great but unfortunately it has 2 unnecessary buttons on the left side which are impossible to avoid every time you try to hold the mouse so they keep getting clicked and keep moving your work steps back and forth. Very annoying.
At this price point, you don't expect much, but it doesn't disappoint.
Let’s put this into perspective before I review. I own a mouse which cost over 80 and now this at around 12. They are not going to be the same.
If you want an extremely sturdy mouse which is going to be used daily for design and gaming over they few years look to spend more. If you want something, that works, is comfortable, quick enough and you are going to throw it in your laptop bag, You won’t go far wrong with this mouse. The red colour we got make’s it look cool. It’s nice to hold with a good button selection and is plug and play. It works straight out the box. Would I buy again, YES. You can buy better, but not at this price.
Of mice and me
The mouse feels nice in the hand and battery life has been very good.
Having had this for while with significant daily use, it has recently developed an issue of wheel bounce. Where the pages you are scrolling via the wheel seem to jump back up at times. Apparently some mice develop this issue. The mouse is still useable, but I’m starting to get irritated with the wheel.
Overall, I’m not disappointed with my purchase.
Excellent mouse, no squeaks.
Good quality mouse with side buttons for page forwards/backwards.
Good firm to purchase from.
Worked well for a year. EDIT: Great customer service.
Edit: After seeing the review the company offered to send me a new mouse. Great customer service!
Bought the mouse over a year ago. Worked well until now. It doesn’t respond to clicks or movement. Tried changing the batteries but still the same issue. Tried unplugging and replugging the reciever but still doesn’t work.
Very comfortable and quite mouse
Bought as a replacement for my old mouse which died after 2 year’s faithful service. This is much nicer to use as it is sculpted to fit my right hand nicely and my palm can rest on the top of it whilst in use. Quiet clicker and smooth scroll wheel. Handy that you can alter the cursor speed to your liking using the DPI button. Like the blue colour as change from all black.
It is a little heavier than anticipated but is a good solid mouse
The wheel is a little stiff but I suppose it will loosen up in time. Overall, I am happy with it.
Extremely good
I’ve brought it as a back up of the same make as I keep falling asleep and dropping it,
Each time when I picked it off the floor I’m surprised to see it still works.
It certainly is rugged but just in case it does break I have another one
his mouse exceeded my expectations.
I did not expect much for the price but it exceeded my expectations. Great quality, one of the many best buys on Amazon. I hope it will last for a long time. I use this mouse for the office, I don’t do gaming. I needed a gaming mouse for the quick forward and back buttons, and also for the quick customized DPI speed button. Happy with the purchase and I recommend it to others. Thanks, Tecknet and Amazon. 🙂
Perfect for left/right handers. Really great control with great button features
Love this mouse. Actually I wish others were built to the same quality. So far the very best mouse I have ever bought. Definitely not the cheapest, or the most expensive, but really the best so far. Not sure how many mouses I have used over the years, perhaps 60 ish. This is the best so far. I will be buying another, but this time the company can pay.
Great quality
I got this item on a same day delivery and I’m really pleased with it. It’s light yet robust, the buttons are responsive and I particularly like the ease of changing the dpi, which is good for photo editing. All this at a great price.
Mine works flawlessly very good price.
I did not have any thing to complain about, it is still working flawlessly, I guess other people had problems I never had. Otherwise I don’t understand their ratings. If you get a faulty one you can return it on Amazon, but mine is great, nice hand feel etc. Glad I bought it.
Low quality, doesn't last - but great customer service
EDIT: Wonderful customer service. I was contacted by a member of the Tecknet customer service team who sought to find a way to make up for the issue I’d had with the mouse. Now that I know how much the company cares, I would consider buying something else from them in the future.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this mouse primarily for gaming, though I also used it for daily personal laptop use.
Bought late Nov. 22, Now April 23… the buttons are already sticky and not working. This mouse replaced a cheap logitech I used for 5 years, this mouse didn’t even last 5 months.
Another major design flaw is the buttons on the left side of the mouse that act as forward and back buttons for internet browsers – I’ve accidentally pressed this when half-way through a film or TV show so many times, which annoyingly takes you back to the previous menu. There should be a way to lock or turn these buttons off, but there isn’t.
Decent but registering warranty led to inordinate spam
Good mouse for the price. Loud click but mitigated by being cheap. However, I registered warranty and since have been no bared with what can fairly be called spam emails despite attempts to opt out. Rather shameful. Would not recommend
Update: revised to 4 as customer support was good in response to my issue. Would now recommend
Stopped working after less than a yea
EDIT – increased to 4 stars because customer service offered me a voucher for the inconvenience of the mouse stopping working.
Worked really well to begin with. Not a huge battery life. But recently I changed the batteries again to some brand new Duracells, and the mouse has stopped working. Red light flashes once, then it doesn’t come on again, and it’s not connecting to the computer anymore.
Shame, as I have gone back to my old one (the 2013 version of this exact same mouse!) which is still working brilliantly (just a bit old and tired looking). What happened Tecknet?! Disappointed in this purchase.
Pretty good mouse!
This is a pretty good mouse! Been using it with my laptop for a few years for my university work and some light gaming. Hasn’t given me any real issue in the time I’ve used it, comfortable shape and weight, nice long battery life. It’s not a godsend to computer mice, and I often find myself accidentally clicking the side “page back” button when I don’t mean to due to its placement, which is annoying, but I’m still happy with it and I’d say it’s worth the price 🙂
A good mouse with a short life span but outstanding customer service
In terms of usability, ergonomics and general feel this is a good mouse. Batteries last a very long time which is also great. The scroll wheel works precisely and quietly.
Unfortunately, the mouse went into permanent sleep mode (as in stopped working altogether) after only 8 month. If you can afford to buy a new one in regular intervals, this is good. If not, just be aware.
A good mouse with a much too short life span.
UPDATE: I have revised my review from 2 stars to 4 stars for the outstanding customer service I received. The mouse has been replaced after a short email exchange to verify what was wrong with the mouse.
Would easily give the mouse 5 stars if it hadn’t stopped working in the first place.
With the customer service received, this will be the mouse I would recommend for anyone wanting good value for money.
Short life span - very good customer service
Very good mouse that fits the hand perfectly. DPIs are good and overall usage is very nice.
Put in good batteries and it will last for long (bought in 08/22 and change batteries once in December but I was using this mouse a lot)
Unfortunately as many reviews before I bought it and after I bought it confirm – just stopped working. I think it is a receiver not mouse because mouse reacts on on/off while receiver is not recognised by any PC or laptop.
Would give 5 for value for money but giving 3 for short life span.
Company reached out and for customer service they deserve better.
I have blasted Tecknet (see below) for a good that was not up to their specification, however, I must also give credit where it is due. Tecknet contacted me and offered a replacement, which I accepted, and which arrived in 3 days, I thank them for that, customer care was excellant. I hope with a myriad of competative products on the market they can work to ensure the fault, process or product, has been rectified for the future as when it worked, the mouse was the quality and standard I wanted and expected. Thank you.
Mouse worked fine for a while, bought it 23 May 22, it is now 26 Jan 23. 30 month long battery life stated in the product, no, 90 days maybe. Changed the batteries a few times then yesterday it just stopped working. I changed the batteries again, still did not work, I changed them for a new batch, still did not work. The red scan light flashed on for a millisecond then went off.
36 Months Warranty(Registered Only) – who registers a product costing around 12? I expect it to last at least 1/3 of its possible life. Maybe the company are happy knowing their product does not fit their specifications and are happy in that the majority, because of the price, throw it away and buy another.
You have been warned – TECKNET if you want to respond I’m here, but I doubt it very much.
Pointless peice of tech if it does not last. It does not have that many moving parts and none that should affect it’s on and off ability. Wasted my money please do not waste yours. I now have to buy another and use my little laptop mouse which is not fit for the purpose on my PC.
Cheap nasty tech that does not meet specification.
Responsive and easy to use
It is quick enough to use as a gaming mouse.
Very pleased
only for laptop use. Looks good and prompt delivery the next day. Very pleased
Work fine for my work purpose, comfort in the palm
Work fine for my work purpose, comfort in the palm
Great mouse ,good quality .
Great mouse ,well made ,very ergonomic ,good price ,far better than my last one ,very pleased .
Grea
Comfortable, responsive and easy to use. Bought a few tecknet items in the past and they’ve all been good quality
Happy with mouse
Easy to install and to use.
This mouse is precise and looks good
Been using this for ages as a work mouse, it’s great.
Feels comfortable, even in big hands.
Batteries last well.
Turns off automatically after about 10 mins of no use but wakes on button click.
Very easy to install.
Accurate movement and you don’t end up clicking buttons accidentally
Feels OK in the hand.
I connected the USB receiver, and it started working as expected; let’s hope it continues that way.
Very pleased
good product maybe a bot on the big side but I am pleased for it.
Perfect for Laptop Gaming.
Very light and small mouse. Surprisingly doesn’t get stuck on the screen or lag at all compared to more expensive ones I’ve bought on here.
Tecknet Mouse- It's worth buying
The mouse has been received intact and it looks fine. So far, it is working fine.
Great mouse
This is a really good mouse for this price point. Works well, comfortable to use and batterys last a decent amount of time.
o hassle.easy to operate
I liked the product as it served the purpose. No wire connections makes it easy to handle
Simple mouse, easy to set up, comfortable in use
It’s a good, basic wireless mouse, comfortable in use and easy to setup. What’s not to like!
Good purchase with excellent battery life.
I have been using this mouse constantly for over 2 months now and it still performs as though its fresh out of the box. I’m still using the supplied batteries and have yet to see any issues.
does not tire the wris
It is very comfortable to hold in the palm.
does not tire the wris
Bought as a replacement.
My old mouse was lagging. Not this one…don’t know about gaming but the side click button is a nice bonus.
My favourite mouse
This is my second mouse from Tecknet. It fits perfectly in my palm and all the buttons are very useful. Good quality.
Does the job!
Was having never-ending lag issues with my previous mouse, and no end of ‘fiddling’ couldn’t seem to find the issues. Bought this as a ‘cost efficient’ replacement just to see whether my old unit was at fault. So far, despite the initial continuation of the lag issues, all seems to be working perfectly. Whether this is simply down to ‘stripping back’ and complete re-install of all mouse/pointing device drivers, this Tecknet unit is much smoother and more comfortable to use. Not ‘high-end’ but also ‘not overpriced’ – overall very satisfied and good value.
Exactly as described.
Exactly as described. Sits comfortably in my hand. Clicking is a bit loud but I soon got used to it. Very responsive and smooth to use.
I do not use it for gaming so cannot comment on tha
Great bang for your buck
As of writing this review I’ve been using this for about a week or maybe two, and I’m pretty satisfied with its performance.
I wasn’t expecting anything game changing and well… its nothing game changing. Its a solid little wireless mouse that is maybe a bit too chonky for school work and portability, but at least it sits well in the hand.
The best option for moving it around is keeping its original box, so it doesn’t get damaged in your backpack/purse or wherever you keep it.
It’s definitely no gaming mouse, I can tell you that, though the adjustable DPI is a nice feature. It’s good enough for some casual minecraft or unturned, but nothing competative since, there is a tiny little but still noticable delay, to the input. Like you move it and the cursor moves just a tad bit after. (At least that’s what I feel when using it, tho it may be just me.)
A great wireless mouse
Far more convenient than a wired mouse. I can select films on the PC and select YouTube videos whilst sat on an armchair. It goes to sleep after a short while so battery life should be good.
Great mouse
Been using for a few months, great mouse, I like that the USB is small so doesn’t stick out when in use and also has a slot in the mouse to store when not in use.
Great quaity
3200 DPI is great!! little too fast but you can adjust the DPI to any other one by the top button.suitable for teen and adults hand.i recommend this item
Nice desig
Nice design slightly bigger than others. Like the usb connector can be kept on the inside of back cap where batteries are so when I don’t use I can keep it safely. Good and thoughtfully desig
It's a good mouse for a good price
When purchasing I just wanted a cheap mouse that works, and this is honestly great, it also has sleep mode which is nice for when you’re not using it and it quickly turns back on after a click.
Tecknet EWM01002 Cordless Mouse
In use on a HP 15-db009ng with openSUSE Leap 15.3 and Windows 10. The transceiver only works reliably when connected via USB 3.0 port (hence only 4 stars). Since this laptop only has 2 such ports this is not optimal. I would rather use the single usb 2.0 port leaving both USB 3.0 ports free. It is understood that this product is not officially supported for use with LINUX but so far I have found problems with neither openSUSE Leap 15.3 nor Ubuntu MATE 20.04. Mouse clicks are initially a little louder than my previous MS Intellimouse Explorer (corded) but after a while this becomes less noticeable. In summary, although not perfect, this seems to be the best value for money mouse in this category with limitations.
Good quality mouse, took one star away, goes too sleep to fas
Fits in hand well buttons all work as they should. I do not use a a mouse mat. and tracks well on a table top well. Just goes to sleep too quickly, Gaming can become issue. due to waiting to game to load all members start game and No mouse. Just click button to wake it up can fire weapon giving away position. be nice if they doubled the amount of time. Do not think will hurt battery life too much with it’s two AA batterys needed? most only need one. but with said adds nice weight too i
Tecknet Mouse: Easy installation.
Very easy to set up, I just added the AA batteries, switched the unit on, then plugged the USB receiver into the back of my PC and it was good to go. I just needed to adjust the DPI/speed of the cursor to its lowest setting (for my needs) and I have been very happy with the operation of the mouse. The only thing I found strange at first, is that the forward & back buttons are both on the same side of the mouse, where as on my old mouse they were on opposite sides of the mouse body.
I like having the USB receiver plugged into the back of the PC, it means there is nothing on my desktop workspace. You don’t need to switch the unit off altogether when you have finished working on your PC; as the mouse just goes to sleep, so saving battery power, then to wake up the mouse I just give the unit a shake and press the left click button.

Great Value
Pleasantly surprised by this mouse. Cant say how long the battery’s lasts but haven’t had to replace them yet (after a month of use, for a couple of hours most days). It feels almost as good as my razer deathadder which is amazing to me for such a cheap mouse.
Heavy, Large 3v Mouse/Ra
This it a very well designed mouse ergonomically, its a gaming mouse that you can increase or decrease its dpi, which is very useful.
If there is any down side to this Tecknet mouse, its the size, its large, and the weight comes in at approx 127g, as opposed to my standard Logitech 235 mouse at 91g, and my ET gaming mouse at 94g, all weighed with quality Varta AA installed.
Its the requirement of 2 x AA batteries that make this mouse heavy, its 3v and not the usual 1.5v single AA.
Hope this helps.
I love my new mouse
I was very sad when my last mouse started playing up and decided it was time to retire it and purchase a new one.
The first one I chose was a disaster – didn’t work, so returned the item and once again started to search for my next perfect mouse. I found this one manufactured by Tecknet. I wish I’d seen this in my original search. It’s a very compact and easy to use and set up mouse. Also, runs quietly and clicks smoothly.
Great mouse
Very ergonomic and comfortable. Quality materials and finish. Back and forward side buttons not easy to press accidentally which is good. Variety DPI button. Scroll/button and standards left right buttons. Doesn’t include batteries, 2x AA. Included Bluetooth do gbi under battery cover. Happy with the quality. Cannot comment on batteries longevity yet.
Make sure you have a mousema
I bought this mouse to replace an older wireless mouse that I now keep in the office. Whilst this mouse has a nice ergonomic design and is comfortable to use, it operates very poorly on my white gloss desk. The old wireless mouse worked flawlessly on this surface and I didn’t even consider that other mice would have a problem. This one does. On my desk, it just doesn’t register the movements very well leading to very frustrating and erratic mouse movements. Using a mousemat solved the issue 100%. Bottom line, it’s a nice mouse with limited ability to work on certain surfaces. If you have a mousemat, you’ll be absolutely fine. As a final point, the ability to change the DPI (sensitivity) at the click of the button on top is a very nice touch. Easy to find a satisfactory sensitivity for your needs.
Perfect!
It fits so perfectly in your hand, slides over surface easily and is the best mouse for the price full stop. I use it everyday all day, this is my second one after the first started to wear out (after 3 years continuous use!) so went for the same again. Absolutely perfec
Good everyday mouse at a reasonable price
Simple and practical. Normal sized. Needs a couple of AA batteries, not supplied. Apart from that it works straight out of the box. The dongle does not come separately as shown. You will find it slotted inside the battery compartment. I bought the grey mouse since it was the cheapest colour. It’s black at the sides and dark grey on top, and it looks smart.
works great, cheap little mouse, does the job
Great little mouse for the price, batteries seem to last a good while, turns itself off to save power but one click and its straight back on and its very responsive. Comfy in the hand, its a good weight feels good quality not cheap and flimsy, has better sensitivity adjustment than my last one, does the job brilliantly. Only knocked a star off as it has a really loud click when you click the buttons, a lot louder than my last one, gets a little irritating after a while when you’re gaming and very annoying for anyone else who is in the room, however for the price this is a minor issue, I’m very pleased with it.
Great little mouse
Fantastic cordless mouse, which has sleep mode, it’s comfortable in your hand, i like the buttons which you can press at the side to go back on your pages or forward, but I do suggest to use a mat for it, overall perfect so far, don’t forgot your need two AA batteries also your USB receiver is inside the battery compartment of which I didn’t know as first and almost sent back to amazon as I thought it was missing but overall great for the money.
It works
Ergonomic, nice to hold, works a treat with the games.
Cannot apply battery life at present because just started to use it.
On/off switch underneath, the 2.4ghz adapter is confined in the battery compartment, easily removed to plug in laptop or pc USB port.
What a mouse
I was having trouble using the laptop touch pad then my computer chap told me about a wireless computer mouse that I could use and have more control over. So there and then we ordered one and I haven’t looked back. Makes life so much easier for me now. I just took the do-da from the underside of the mouse and plugged it into an empty one on the laptop, followed a few instructions and away I went. Good little mousy!
It's a mouse, it does mouse like stuff!
It feels comfortable and moves smoothly, buttons have a positive click. The clicks are quite audible but it has not been a big issue. My previous mouse, different brand, went wrong just out of warranty so we have a way to go to see how this holds up, but so far so good
A little glitchy, granted my CCTV is behind a wall.
Works perfectly fine but I think the distance factor is not quite there.
Nice feel, works great. Value for money. Recommended!
This product comes boxed in a single cardboard box and 1 layer of bubble wrap making it easy to unwrap and use. It also uses 2 AA batteries.
The mouse feels great, you can change the sensitivity and there are side buttons to hog forward and backwards. In addition to this, the fact that it is wireless is a massive bonus.
A massive bonus of this mouse is the sleep feature. If you don’t use it for a few minutes it goes into sleep mode and all you have to do to turn it back on is press any button! A great way to save battery and avoids the hassle of constantly turn it on and off with a switch.
I chose the black colour and was expecting to see a matt black finish but instead it turned out to be a shiny black which leaves fingerprint marks every time you touch it which doesn’t make the mouse look as attractive.
Other than this issue I have nothing to complain about, it’s comfortable, long-lasting and high quality.
It’s also good for gaming as the sensitivity can be adjusted and it has a DPI button.
In conclusion I would this mouse but I wouldn’t recommend choosing the black colour unless you don’t mind it being covered in fingerprint marks as it’s an absolute fingerprint magnet!
Great for the price
I ordered this for work to replace a broken one. I have a really good gaming one so just wanted something cheap and functional for day-to-day at work. After a week of using it I’m really happy with it. It’s comfortable, light weight turns off if left unused. Looking back, I’d happily buy it agai
Works fine
Bought to replace a similar mouse which had failed.
Slotted in and works fine. Comfortable to hold and manipulate. No complaints here.
Can’t comment on battery life yet. It does switch itself off when unused for a period or when it’s not chatting to the receiver when the PC shuts down, so should be reasonable.
100% Recommended 🔥
Pleasantly surprised at the build quality, all the buttons and scrolls wheel feel durable and have a satisfying click to them. The battery compartment location also creates a good weight balance when batteries are in place (Batteries aren’t included in the box) The battery compartment door fits securely and it houses the wireless dongle which is ideal for travel purposes.
The mouse works on a plug and play basis, simply plug the dongle into a spare USB port, put 2x AA batteries inside the mouse and turn the power slider on located on the underside of the mouse. Within 5 seconds drivers will automatically be installed and the mouse will work. A few things i really like about the mouse are that it has a DPI button so you can increase/decrease the sensitivity on the fly and that it has two dedicated buttons on the side for gaming. Oh yes, you read that right…. this is a fully capable wireless gaming mouse, just without the bells and whistles such as RGB lighting etc.
I also like the energy saving features, so after several seconds if inaction it instantly drops to a semi-low power state, don’t worry though as it instantly responds should you move or click the mouse (seriously you wouldn’t know) It has has a sleep mode where by the mouse goes into hibernation if inactive after several minutes, simply double clicking the mouse will instantly wake it up with zero lag. It’s worth noting that the mouse is shaped for a right handed person.Other things worth noting are that it has a grippy thumb rest, the top is glossy smooth and there is a low battery warning LED on the top which also doubles as the DPI indicator.
VERDICT: For the money i love this mouse, it is well constructed and glad i went for a wireless one in the end (the lack of wires and claimed 12 months of battery life are a big winner for me). It does make me question how some companies can charge 10x as much for mice that don’t do much else. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Glad to have found this one
One of the selection criteria was to be bigger than many other basic mice. The result, it works very well in my (not very small) hands. A little bit of asymmetry in the design too, hump is bigger on its left side, which I think makes for a better hand position, coupled with the size it means less overexertion and fatigue over time.
Basically a cheaper knock-off of the Logitech M705 but still more than satisfactory. Huge advancement over any touchpad or trackpoint. I don’t want any better for everyday basic mousing, browsing, photo editing and marching the cursor over zoom faces.
Top button sets the scanning resolution, the effect is visible: cursor moves smoother but slower. There are 2 more buttons under your right thumb, I don’t use those usually. Mouse wheel has a soft click, it’s not free-turning.
Never tried gaming, I wouldn’t expect much.
I like how sleep mode and energy saving is solved on this model: sleeps quite easily and have to push a button to wake it up (happens quickly), but it never wakes the computer when it’s also asleep. Very polite mouse.
Goes easy on batteries too: don’t remember when I put my half-full AAs in, must be about a year now, only recently started a green LED flashing to indicate low but still goes fine.
Nice surprise, it never flashes in your eyes if you look at the bottom for whatever reason (e.g. turning it off – there’s a switch), not saying you should though.
I took a break from using it because previously it was in a corner heavy of EM interference (WiFi router) and it basically stopped working. Could have happened with any 2.4GHz mouse I suppose. But when I picked up again for working from home, I was glad I did.

My error initially
I originally said “This mouse is supposed to have Smart Sleep mode to save battery life. IT DOES NOT. The previous TECKNET M002 2.4G Classic Wireless Mouse I bought in November 2020 did.”
However, this mouse DOES— it just takes 10minutes to time out while the earlier one timed out in 2 minutes.
Everything else about this mouse is great which is why I reordered a new one and am upgrading from 1 to 5 stars
2 years later, still using
I’m actually surprised I’ve had this mouse for so long, but honestly i haven’t had to get a new one.
I’ve used a few different mouses since getting a laptop and this one has lived the longest.
obviously I’ve had to change the batteries a few times, but the sleep mode helps with that since it ‘sleeps’ if you don’t use it for a while.
all 3 buttons still work and the mouse sensitivity is still great. the scroll wheel jumps sometimes but it doesn’t bother me enough to buy a new one.
using it doesn’t hurt your hand, great grip.
overall a great mouse, even 2 years later.
Cheap but handy mouse
It’s cheap feeling, a little sharp on the edges if you were to be holding it for hours of gaming, I have this hooked up to my media PC as a mouse so I can have it wirelessly next to my remote control for the projector, the range isn’t amazing on the receiver but what you gonna do, it’s cheap and it does work fine. But that’s about it… it’s “fine”
So. Much. Better. Than. The. Rubbish. I. Used. Before.
Ok WFH is a thing now, right. I have found that I get pains around my right shoulder blade from using the crappy laptop mouse pad. And the only other mouse I had was this tiny little travel mouse that I had to use my fingertips to operate. That actually gave me more, different pains up my arm. It rattled around, didn’t even sit flat and wasn’t b responsive/accurate despite being wired.
Well, this one is a world apart and sits nicely in my bigger hands. It does make a bit of a click noise but I’m working alone so not an issue. Feels nice, moves nicely, solid, connects well, plenty of speed settings. My arm/shoulder feels better for my hand being in the right place and on a proper mouse. Should have bought this a year ago!
Does what a computer mouse should
Bought for a laptop so I could stop using the built-in touchpad.
Is comfortable in the hand and great for general ‘mousing’ duties, not sure how it would be for gaming as I’ve always intentionally used a cabled mouse for that kind of thing.
Be careful switching it on when it’s upside down as the laser flashes very brightly straight in your eyes if you’re looking at the switch. It has caught me out twice so felt it was worth mentioning, and it’s the only reason for it getting 4 stars.
Great but noisy clicke
Great size and feel. Works well laptop recognised immediately. No issues with use! Only qualm is it’s quite a loud clicker. I’m working from home teaching via live video calls all day and the kids can hear me click click clicking all day. It’s way easier than a touch pad to use all day for me so kept it and use it but on reflection would have looked for a silent clicker. For personal use outside of video calls this is great for me.
Great cheap mouse
I use a Mac but prefer two buttons and a higher mouse for support. The ergonomics of this are actually quite good and it fits pretty well in my hand. Quality is excellent, mouse clicks are a bit plastic sounding but doesn’t bother me. Owned mine for over a year and not changed batteries yet and still working fine… nothing broken or worn. I’ve never been able to get the side buttons to work (might need to download a drivers for Mac) but both main buttons and scroller work out the box which is all I need.
Good shape and design let down by inconsistent quality control - (had 3 with different issues)
I originally bought one of these for my tablet quite a few years ago. This is the one on the left in the video. It is good in most areas, other than the scroll wheel squeaks often at times. Though it wouldn’t at the time I did the video. It does however still have a problem in that the scroll wheel is loose and wobbles side to side as you can hear in the rattle. Annoying when doing sudden mouse movements. The left click also feels like it has a partial click before you actually click activate it. It is just slightly loose, but this isn’t too much of a problem.
Thinking these were just flaws with this as a one off, I bought another for my PC some years later (about a month back at the time of this review). I will start off with the improvements. The buttons on the side stick out further and are less effort to press and have a more satisfying click. The right and left click although sounding a little different felt fine to use. The negative differences were obvious though. The scroll wheel is so noisy compared! It doesn’t squeak but it doesn’t click smoothly or quietly. And depending on what position it is left in, the mouse can rattle incredibly badly even when doing gentle changes of direction when not touching the wheel. Yet another negative is that the sensor underneath makes the mouse move quite a lot to the left when lifted to adjust your hand. The old one did this, but not to this extent. The scroll wheel was so rattly on this that I asked for a replacement, and did get very quickly.
This one had a perfect scroll wheel. The mouse won’t rattle no matter how vigorously you shake it. The sensor is also better although still tracks a bit too far off the mouse mat for my liking compared to the old one. The side buttons are also good on this, but then comes the problem with this one too. The clicks sound so different and the right click is the loudest I’ve heard from any mouse. I did a modification as the picture shows and that is the mouse that I’ve been using for the past month or so. The other slight issue this one has is that the right click isn’t flush with the darker plastic edge. It overhangs a bit and that feels pretty sharp to the touch, but I can accept this for the price.
It is a real shame that the quality control is so bad. These mice are all the exact same product and the scroll wheel is different on all of them as well as the feedback of the buttons.
In terms of design, it is almost as comfortable as the logitech M705, and other than the lack of a freewheel/ratchet and sideways click scroll wheel, this is basically the same as the M705 in terms of shape. Just slightly less right hand oriented. The height, width and length is pretty much identical. It lacks the rubbery fell and just has soft touch plastic, but for 20 — 25%% of the cost, I think that is acceptable.
The fact they are all differ in different areas is just frustrating as it proves the brand is capable of making every part correctly, but I haven’t been lucky enough to get one. The reason why I give it 4 stars is because there is a chance that you could get one with everything correct. And in that case, it really is great value.
A few other notes about the mouse:
I do like that it takes 2AA batteries. It lasts for ages. Nearly 2 years with decent alkaline batteries. It is rather back heavy, but I find the shape good enough not to lose grip of it when lifting.
One annoying area is the 5 minute sleep function. It wakes up by any button or the scroll wheel clicks, but why can’t just moving it wake it up? Logitech managed this with their mice fine. With this, you just need to get used to always clicking a button to wake it. Can be annoying at times.
The modification I did on the latest one is enough to put up with it, but I’m still looking for another better mouse. I added some electrical tape and applied a bit to either side to stop the buttons springing up so far and being so loud. But I really would be happy with this model of mouse if you could get one that has been put together well, which in my case seems hard to get.

Needs a buttonclick to wake the mouse after a while
Good mouse that’s does the job. Loses a star for how the mouse needs a click to wake the connection after a while. This is probably a battery saving feature but i didn’t need to do this for my previous wireless Logitech mouse (that I appreciate costs more than twice the price of this one). Those extra clicks can make a difference when you’re using it regularly.
Its a mouse
works fine, not had any problems since I bought it. a month ago
on/off switch, so you can switch the mouse off to save the battery,
it also seems to have a sleep mode, simple click to get it going again
for under a 10 its a good mouse.
only wish they’d make one that for left handed folk – but nothing wrong with the produc
Great for gaming
After reading some of the reviews, I was apprehensive on buying this. But I’m glad I did
It functions perfectly, as its described. The sleep mode kicks in when it should. The battery lasts as it should, even though alot of reviews said otherwise. I think the negative reviews on here had a dodgy one and should replace it. Rather than wine on here
I use mine for gaming and hasn’t missed a DPi
It's a red mouse for a happy wife
It’s a cheap mouse, about 1/4 of the price of my MX, brought for my wife whose MS Sculpt kept not responding. She uses it for design work but only really for navigating the software rather than the illustration part as she has a tablet for that bit. The mouse looks decent but the weight and feel reflect the price tag – although it’s still on par with the mouse that came with my MS keyboard set. The usage side of it seems fit for purpose though. Plugged in the dongle for W10 and it found it instantly. It’s very responsive, tracks well and is accurate. It was brought as a stop gap until we could get into a store (lockdown woes) and try them out but it seems she is really happy with it and best of all it’s red which tells you more about my wife than the mouse.

Works very well
Totally supassed my expectations, performed flawlessly and tracks well over a variety of surfaces including a black fleece blanket that my last mouse refused to work on at all.
Construction does feel a little cheap, the scroll wheel rattles a bit, but it fits the hand well and works great.
Unbeleivable value for money.
