Love it but u will need a large memory card as this is a big game
My sisters addicted to this game she previously had it on the xbox like a decade ago and sunk so so many hours into it so when it came out for the switch she had to have it. Still glitchy as hell considering all the releases it has. But she’s enjoying it and is enjoying recording all the glitches
Excellent port, i am a huge fan of Skyrim, i played the entire game and dlc’s on my xbox many moons ago and so i was ready to dip into it again this time on the switch.
this port is great and i have not noticed any lag issues and i only had one crash in my 140+ hours.
Ive noticed some reviews talking about pop-in when docked and while this does happen i haven’t found it to ruin the game play experience at all and i don’t think its nearly as bad as people say.
I mainly play in portable mode and i have noticed no pop in or texture glitches at all, the system handles it extremely well, i sat happily for 9 hour plane journey in a tight cramped economy seat (im 6ft) (i also had a portable charger IT IS A MUST).
Great naught this so I had something to play on a flight, was perfect. Comes with all DLC and plays exactly like it does on other consoles.
A great version of Skrim that you can play on the go, amiibo support that gives you zelda themed items is a great bonus.
I have brought this game to many times but still enjoy i
My son loves it and is so happy they brought this game out on Switch!
Prise en main difficile mais vu le champ des possibles et le potentiel du jeu a donne envie de s’accrocher !!
En plus on bnficie des dlc .
Needs no introduction. Plenty of depth and scope as a game and works just as well in handheld mode, although if with a tv it’s better.
Great open world role play game, magnificent port looks magnificent on the Nintendo switch
la satisfaction est totale, je le conseille si vous avez un ado qui faire plaisi
Bethesda certainly continue to prove they know what they’re doing, improving upon many aspects of prior Elder Scrolls games, and although many might argue it “dumbed down too much” it hasn’t dumbed it down enough to make it seem unnecessarily pointless, tedious, or unfun, where you can happily bound up mountains on foot or on your horse (which occasionally seems to define physics – a trait present in first release), engage in combat at hand-to-hand, using medieval weapons, or mystical magic, or – as everyone will say is inevitable, as a stealth archer up in the hills beneath the shadows of a tree several hundred metres away from your target.
Yes, Skyrim for the Switch brings just as much joy as any previous release to other consoles, and the switch controls work wonderfully, being able to use the motion controls (if you so desire) to aim is excellent.
The only thing missing for those that are super interested, would be the ability to access console (a trait reserved for PC due its far higher power levels) which can cause a variety of mischief.
So, if you missed the boat for Skyrim in 2011, or simply a new player wanting to become the worlds Greatest War Lord, Dragon Slayer, Stealth Archer, Thief Guild and Assassin Member, and all-around powerful ‘Dragonborn’, then what are you waiting for – click ‘add to cart’ and be done with it!
This is a really great game for the switch and is a refreshing change of pace from the normal titles you find on a Nintendo system. The game is not so great graphically and virtually unplayable in some lights due to the dark setting and the screen glare that you experience sometimes. Despite that it is still a great game and a welcome addition to the system.
Its skyrim, not much else to say, same game, same notorious glitches, cool extras with zelda amiibo’s though.
I purchased this for my husband’s birthday and he is extremely happy with it.
Roll forward to 2017 and as soon as I saw that it was coming to the switch I was interested. My gaming time is limited to portable or late evenings after the family have gone to bed and I couldn’t resist getting it on Switch.
Some 3 months later and over 100hrs of gameplay to date I have to say this has been well worth it. It plays well, looks good (who cares if it isnt full HD or 4k as it looks fine in portable mode or when I dock it on my 65″ 4k TV).
The controls are great whether using in desktop with motion controls and the joycons used separately, or when attached yo the screen in portable or when using thhe Pro controller when docked.
I’m nowhere yet finished and am looking forward to the next 50/100 hrs or whatever it’ll take.
If you’re looking for a huge world full of awesome landscapes, hidden dungeons, wizardry, one/two handed attacks with swords, maces, axes or stealthily creeping around and shooting arrows from afar, then Skyrim is the game for you.
Just get i
Can’t believe this game is still full price after 10 years… but great game I couldn’t resist owning it on every platform I own.
Very well received present. Nothing else that I can say about it.
great game, sunk 10 hours so far works great on the switch and i had my doubts!
For somebody like me, who didn’t play Skyrim before, it is a great buy.
Considering Skyrim is quite old the graphical difference is not that big.
It is much closer to enhanced definition rather the original one.
No regrets here, apart from price. Ehh Bethesda.
Arrived quicker than expected. Runs well on switch. Very pleased
It’s Skyrim with all the add one, what’s not to love? Worth the price and arrived on time.
It’s Skyrim on a console, with the upgraded graphics, and you can take it with you anywhere, really does sum it up as I’m sure most have already played it somewhere.
It looks beautiful, even on the handheld.
If you love Skyrim, or haven’t played it before and love RPGs, buy it instantly.
Genuinely thrilled.
First impressions were mixed. Buildings look boxy at a distance, some textures look they’re painted onto simple polygons. The game is darker overall with no brightness slider, although you could argue that this forces you to use light sources as intended. Moreover (and this is a blessing in disguise) some objects, such as chest traps, are a lot more visible than usual due to the mismatch in the textures used. Yet it’s still a game that’s capable of breathtaking vistas and gorgeous graphics, even on a television, and because it’s been comprehensively matched to the Switch’s screen there are some moments that actually look improved. I found myself wandering more in the landscapes than ever before, become a sightseer once again in a game where the temptation of fast travel had become almost insurmountable.
The motion controls feel awkward: I didn’t even try with the melee/shield controls after a first try, but even the bow doesn’t have the smooth sensitivity of Breath Of The Wild. I quite like the additional challenge of use motion aiming on the bow, but it’s admittedly clumsy. On the other hand, the motion lockpicking is great fun and refreshes a mechanic that became very stale in the original game. It’s a great use of HD Rumble, which adds to the experience overall.
All the usual bugs seem to be present & correct and I’ve even had one crash bug. I’ve also experienced bugs on the sound but they are very fleeting and nothing to worry about. Frankly, there’s never been a version of Skyrim with no problems, so the Switch is probably as good as any version from that point of view.
So, with no real problems and what with the fact that it’s a port of a classic game, it would be easy to give Skyrim five stars right there. But when you add in a stable frame rate and acceptable loading times, I think that this port does more than just give us “Skyrim on a portable” … it actually gives us a very decent version of the game for the living room TV. Rather than just “ticking boxes” the port is a feature-complete version of the game capable of working its magic all over again. Certainly one of the top games for the system at the moment.
A+ love this
Initial thoughts are really positive. It looks really great, sitting somewhere in between PS3 and PS4 versions in handheld. Framefate has been very solid and load times are a fraction of what they were on other versions.
For me Skyrim is one of if not the best Action RPG ever made. 6 years on from its release the scale, beauty and atmosphere that has gone into this world still amaze me. You have so much freedom to explore and I’ve lost entire evenings just wandering the landscape, discovering hidden caves and developing my character outside of the main quest. It remains one of the most open world experiences ever created and now it’s in your pocket.
Very impressive port of a legendary game.
