Great thermos. The perfect size to bring my coffee in everyday. I’ve had this one for over a year now and it is still looking great. Had to buy another for my partner who was jealous of it. I would recommend this and would buy it again.

Great flask, I work as a carer so spend a lot of time travelling around and have no access to microwaves for heating food. So this little flask is fantastic, will hold a full can of soup and have even put pasta in it. One recommendation I would definitely say is to pour boiling water into the flask for 20 minutes or so before you put the hot food in, this way I have found it is still a good temperature 6 hours later.

It is hard to get too excited about a thermos but I work on a market stall at Christmas and this has saved my life!! The design is smart with the spoon integrated into the lid. It kept my chilli, my casserole, my soup and my porridge warm. It could do with being a little bigger but perhaps it is helping me exercise some portion control….!! Everything you could want really.

Purchased 1 for soup etc… for work. After years of using cheap ones where my food is luke warm by dinnertime I finally have a food flask which keeps my food nice and hot. Wish I’d bought 1 years ago! Was that impressed I got 1 for the mrs too which she loves

I have several Thermos products already in red, so for me I was just hoping for the same quality. I Tested by filling it with piping hot soup at 930am and I ate it at 1630pm, at first the top spoonful was more than warm but not hot, by 3rd spoonful I burnt my mouth. So tip, when you do open stir if you can the contents.
Love the spoon, wide opening top and easy to clean. Going to buy one each for children now, highly recommended.

Great, love this very practical, reasonably-priced flask which does for lots of things eg tea, coffee, soups, stews and for keeping stuff either hot of cold. Very useful, especially with the little spoon and wide cup, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s really cute looking too 🙂

Best flask by a wide mile. I have this food one and a matching taller one for my coffee. They keep things hot for many hours, and they surprise me every day how good they are. This range of flasks are incredible and now the winter is looming in I will be using them every day. Thank you.

My Best Buy for the winter.
Will take more than a can of Heinz soup. So great if you make homemade soup or stews.
Have only used it for hot food
Put hot water in it while I heat food. Then empty out and put food or soup in.
Usually I eat within 5hours and food is still lovely and hot
    Easy to clean.

I purchased a cheaper flask from another brand (Pioneer) and that didn’t last long. This Thermos flask is easy to open, easy to clean, and most of all, does the job of keeping the food warm for over 6 hours. I usually microwave my food for 4 minutes, then put it in the flask. I would eat my lunch 6-7 hours later and it’s still piping hot! I am very satisfied with it.

This product is great and it meets all the needs I wanted. It keeps soups warm for hours and it is relatively easy to clean because of shape of the mouth. The only thing I would say is that being left handed, when I use the spoon, it often collapses a bit because of the angle that it comes out at. If I used my right hand, because of the way it twists, it would not collapse. This makes using the collapsable spoon a bit annoying sometimes, but nothing too major. I would really recommend this thermos.

This thermos is perfect for school lunches. My daughter gets her lunch at 1pm and her food is still warm since I put it in at 7.30am. Tip is to put boiling hot water in first for 15mins followed by the food and stays warm right until lunch. Perfect purchase and easy to clean too.

I bought this for taking hot food to work, its quite small looking but holds a good amount of food. It really does keep your food hot all day, after 5 hours I had to leave the lid on as soup was too hot to eat straight away, very handy little flask.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this for my daughter to take food to school. She wouldn’t take yoghurt as they would get warm but puts them into this with a bit of granola so it still keeps everything fresh and cool. Also takes soup for cold days and the soup stays hot until lunchtime. Can fit the contents of Pot Noodle also. Handy little fold-up spoon that goes into the lid. Very durable as has been thrown into school bag constantly for nearly 4 months and no dents. Very easy to clean.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI hate all the usual sandwiches and salads that people have for lunch so I used to skip lunch due to a lack of hot food but this has changed that! I pre-heat the flask with boiling water for ten minutes and then add my hot food. Five hours later and I can enjoy a hot lunch! So so glad I bought this, I highly recommend it.

This product is brilliant, keeps food piping hot for hours and hours. I have used it for all sorts, from soup, to porridge, to small cooked meals.
Also, my son can’t have ice cream so we take dairy free ice cream out to restaurants with us when we go out for meals. This flask keeps it from melting while we eat our meal. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Bought one, loved it so much for packed lunches (as it keeps the food warm or cold and safe from going off) that I bought two more. Comes with a handy foldable spoon that fits in the lid and its a short stumpy style with a wide top so easy to eat out of. Pack everything from salads, soups, rice and pasta dishes inside. Brilliant design. Thank you!

hat’s really one of the best thermo products i’ve ever bought. I heat up my soup around 6.30am and eat it around 12pm. It’s still hot!! (You just have to make sure you put it in hot and not just luke warm). It’s small but not too small to starve afterwards, handy to bring everywhere, sturdy and looks nice and shiny!

This is fantastic product, great size for work lunches, soups, salads etc and will keep to the correct temperature. In the colder months soup put in at 7am and still hot at 12pm when ready to eat. Pricey than others but definitely worth the price as cheaper ones won’t keep the heat which I ‘ve tried.

Use it for keeping baby food warm. We Only half fill with baby food but provided you heat the whole inner first with boiling water it will keep the baby food warm for hours. Love the wide neck as I can also carry boiling water to stand pre made milk bottle in it to heat up.

Great product. I was always taught to put very hot water in a thermos for 10 minutes before putting whatever you want to keep warm in it. Having done this the soups that I use it for are still as hot as they were leaving the saucepan up to 6 hours after I put them in. I use this for my lunch so haven’t tested it for any longer periods.

Holds a normal size tin of soup!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is an amazing little flask and I held off doing a review until I had had it a while and my experience with other flasks are that they work well for a while, but then are unable to retain the heat.

Now three months on, I use this little fella every day for my soup, I heat the flask first with boiling water then pour in my hot soup. The soup is piping hot at lunchtime and even when I go to wash out the flask at night, any residue liquid is still warm.

Useful to carry your hot food (particularly soups) to work for lunch. It’s easy to pour the soup in it and you can have it directly from the flask -no need for extra bowls/plates-. The spoon comes in handy. I pack my lunch at 7.30 and the content is piping hot at 1pm.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese flasks are brilliant. We have two for our children for hot school lunches and whether they have soup, pasta or risotto it’s still steaming hot at lunchtime. Well worth the money as we have tried others but nothing keeps the heat like these do. They fit a lot in them too.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersHad this for 6 months now and it has kept my porridge nice and warm for me, and the spoon is great and saves finding one when I need it. After 6 months there has been some ware, and the colour paint has been coming off. I do put it through the dishwasher and it does get abuse in my bag. The spoon has also loosened a bit, so I am going to try another one and see how that goes.

    Keeps it warm

I love this product. Used it for lunches when I would not have access to a fridge or microwave, easy to carry round as it fits into most bags and doesn’t leak! Not one drop as long as the lid is on correctly. It comes with a spoon as well ideal if you’ve used it for soup or chilli and it keeps the food hot for quite a while. I’d happily say with certainty my food was kept hot for at least 5 hours.
Loved it so much that my partner brought one and has been taking it with him for lunch too!

Fantastic item – pour boiling water in it whilst heating up your food – pour out water and put your hot food inside and food was still piping hot at 1pm lunch time – I am sure it will keep things just as cold if necessary – if you want a hot meal at work with no means to heat it, this thermos does the trick

A little bit pricey and not that much volume but it has a cool long spoon of a very good quality.
I think the spoon would be better though if it was folded differently, allowing it to be unfolded not in a circular but in a stretching movement.
    Overall very good though.

I originally bought this along with my aeropress and other assorted kit to make myself coffee out of the office, and it’s served that purpose admirably. The neck is just big enough to allow me to press coffee directly into it, and as i’m fairly clumsy, it’s been dropped a lot! But it’s survived bar a few dents and scratches and the ability to retain heat has not been compromised.

I’ve tested how well it holds heat, and if i fill it with near boiling water at around 4pm, when i come back in the morning at 7am it’ll still be fairly warm. It’s also pretty easy to clean if your hands aren’t too big.

This flask is so useful! So far it’s kept stuff warm for about 4/5 hours and my food has been piping hot when I go to eat it. I primarily use it for pasta dishes, the pasta does go a bit soft (it’s essentially being cooked slightly while in my bag nice and hot) but that doesn’t bother me at all. It’s made my lunches healthier and way cheeper, and I’d defintiely recommend getting it if you’re on the fence about it. The only way I could honestly see it being improved is if the folding spoon was a spork, but that’s just me. Also the red is a really gorgeous vibrant metallic red.

This is a great item from a well known brand name…

I use it for work and it has kept my food sufficiently hot for at least 7hrs… Usually chili or beef stew.

Haven’t tested it with cold food yet, but I think it’d be fine! I also like the handy little folding spoon neatly tucked in the lid

Maybe just a touch bigger capacity would have been nice, but then perhaps I’m just being greedy at lunchtime!

So, overall it’s well worth 20 and I’m pleased with it.

Keeps food hot until lunch time. Not big enough for two but comes with a very handy spoon.

My only gripe is that if its hand washed, it retains the flavour and smell. Yesterday I had chilli, today I put green tea in there as I had brie and pickle sarnies (thanks Mr B) and my green tea is laced with chilli. Even though it says you shouldn’t put it through the dishwasher, I do. It doesn’t get ruined and you can get rid of food smells easy.

That being said, my Jasmine tea is ruined but I do really quite like the flask.

I bought this product to take soup to work with and it has been ideal. It maintains the heat for at least 6hrs in my experience, but you do need to make sure the food is piping hot first. The seal is secure so there is never any leaks. The instructions say you shouldn’t clean it in the dishwasher but it seems to withstand it fine, so far. My only complaint is that the spoon that comes with it is a little too small so I always take a separate larger one with me. Although it is convenient as it folds up small and fits inside the lid. I would definitely recommend this product.

Very good flask and does what it it’s supposed to do. Keeps product warm for hours. I warm my soup at 5am and open it to use at 10.30am for my break and it is still hot. Fill the flask with hot water and leave for 5 minutes before refilling it with your hot meal and it will do the job very well. My only complaint is it dents easily as I found out when I dropped my bag with it in and now has a large dent that I can’t repair. I wish Thermos did some sort of protective jacket for it, as it is a lovely product and deserves the 5 stars.

I hoped all the good reviews were true, and they are. I contemplated buying a cheaper food flask but after reading all the poor reviews regarding cold food and leaking vessel I decided to trust the “you get what you pay for” mantra. This thermos flask Is excellent and worth every penny. It doesn’t leak (I bike to work so it is a bumpy ride!) and after 5 hours my soup is properly hot, steaming and easy to eat with the cool collapsible spoon that fits into the lid.
    Great product would definitely recommend.

I bought this flask so that I could take soup with me to college in the evening. It is the perfect size for a tin of soup! Keeps food very hot (it was usually 3 hours between heating the food and eating it). My only problem was that the screw on lid expanded slightly with the heat making it almost impossible to get the lid off without running it under cold water. It could have been quite dangerous – which is why it has 4* and not 5*. The folding soon was very handy though.

This isn’t cheap but I’ve been using this over the Winter for my soup. Soup goes in boiling at 8.00 a.m. and still very hot at 1.00 p.m. lunchtime – what more can one ask. My only gripe and this is just being fussy is the metal spoon that comes with it bangs against the metal inside and makes a racket, but hey ho they wouldn’t be able to make a collapsible plastic spoon. You can, of course, be used in the Summer for iced drinks.

  46. Anonymous says:

Keeps my food nice and warm. The drier the food the less heat is retained by the time I go to eat it, but it’s never given me cold food, maybe at the worst luke warm and even at that it was 7 or 8 hours after it had been filled. It is a perfect size, and even a full tin of soup leaves space at the top. The spoon is very handy as well since it folds up and sits in the lid. I’ve had problems in yhe past of trying to work out where to put spoons etc and what to do with them once I was done with yhem since they would end up sitting in the bottom of my bag and end up getting lost.

Better than expected. Following the instructions (with an extra pre-swill of boiling water before the actual 10 min pre-heating) my thick soup is steaming hot 4 hours later. I’ve microwaved the soup so it’s very hot when put in the flask, and sometimes the top surface of the food in the flask has cooled slightly – not steaming but still hot after 4 hours, but the flask really does its job. I eat it straight from the flask, but take my own non-metal spoon to avoid that metal-on-metal noise.

Can’t recommend this Thermos flask enough. This is the second one I have purchased as my son now has packed lunches at school and this keeps his dinners hot from 8am till 12pm, and his Jelly for desert, cold. I heat the Thermos up with hot water before putting food in and this keeps it hot till lunch time. I make the Jelly with fruit pieces in, in the Thermos and leave it open in the fridge over night. Have also used it for hot chocolate. No leakage, no problems. Just love it. The spoon is an amazing design to and so convenient. My son now has health hot home cooked dinners every day.

Thermos Stainless King Food Flask – 470 ml, Cranberry Red

I purchased this for my husband to take hot soup and pasta to work instead of cold sandwiches. It is a nice compact product and the foldaway spoon is a good idea. The flask however, does not keep either pasta or soup piping hot, even though we put boiling water in it for 15 minutes as suggested, before adding steaming hot soup or pasta to it. I did expect that this brand would keep everything really hot, but we are a little disappointed with this product, as after 4 to 5 hours the contents are at best only lukewarm.

This flask works! We purchased it to replace a Aladdin Bento Lunch Box which never managed to keep school lunches warm until lunch time. By comparison, the contents of the Thermos flask is still warm when the uneaten lunch is returned home again at the end of the day!

The size is perfect for a child or adult lunch portion, and the included spoon is a nice bonus – no more forgotten cutlery! The whole thing is easily cleaned too saving time at the end of the day. I highly recommend this for keeping your soup or other types of food warm for school or work. Don’t risk trying another brand or model – this works and the other reviews back up this fact.

Great product! At last I can carry a warm lunch to the university. Its a really good, sleek thermo-flask. I use it to carry my soups/curries which can be a much more interesting lunch than just having a sandwich. Although it looks small, it can fit quite a big quantity of food, although I am not sure if this quantity of food would be enough for an adult male or someone who likes to eat that little bit more. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that it holds the food warm for a shorter time than stated, I would say it holds my food warm for around 4-5 hours. But othwerise I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this so that I could take hot foods to work for lunch. I typically fill the thermos at around 7.30/8am and when I come to eat my lunch at 12.30, it is still steaming hot. I can’t comment on longer time scales as I haven’t tried leaving it any longer. I have tried various soups and a pasta dish and both worked well. You do need to ensure that you prepare the thermos by letting it stand with boiling water in for a few minutes before filling.

I have bought cheaper food flasks and been disappointed with them because they don’t keep food hot. So I decided to spend a bit more on this one and have been happy with it so far. It may look small but it can fit a full tin of soup comfortably. To my surprise from heating the soup in the morning until eating at lunch it kept the contents hot. Also the folding metal spoon on the lid is a nice handy touch. All I can say is pay a little more for a food flask if you want hot food.

The best flask I have ever bought, I have bought a 2nd one for my elderly father. Best way to use it is to fill with boiled water from the kettle for 10 mins whilst you are preparing whatever you want to go in your flask, then empty and pop in your food and seal. Keeps hot for hours and the spoon in the lid is very handy!

This is normally stuffed in my bag (separate compartment) when I take this to work.
I tend to nuke the food in a microwave at work, a single-walled ceramic one would have also been a virgin marketable.

    PRO
    * The screwtop (not a lid with a clip) assures me that the lid won’t leak oily soup when I shove my work laptop in the bag.
    CON
    * The onboard, fold-out spoon that accompanies it, feels cheap and disappoints.

Bought for my wife in her new job. What a good husband I am. As you would expect from a Thermos product, it is well made, and well presented. The materials look as though they will last. The folding spoon is more than a gimmick, and, as long as it doesn’t rust, will remain in use. In terms of keeping things warm for the necessary 5 and a half hours or so, the trick does seem to be pre-heating with boiling water. I get up first in the morning, and, as part of my routine, I fill the flask with boiling water. My wife tells me the soup/stews she has are nice and warm when she comes to eat them. What more can you ask for?

The thermos is very sturdy and can carry more than enough food for me. It comes with a foldable spoon which I have not used. Food is still boiling hot hours after I have heated it.

Few con is that there is a horrible screech when a metal fork touches the insides of the thermos however this can easily be avoided if the user empties the content into a plate.

Bought this for my 5 year old to take soup/stew to school for pack lunch. Great size, big enough to hold a good amount and this was easy enough for her to deal with. We practiced opening and closing and she was able to cope with this. We also tested the product before she started school. We put hot water in the flask with lid on for 10mins, warmed soup, poured out water, popped in the soup. 5 hours later the soup was a perfect temp for her to eat and cool enough tht it wouldn’t scold her. Perfect for the job that I needed it for. Is abit on the expensive side, nearly didn’t buy it as it was so expensive but I suppose it is quality for money and fit for purpose but think it would have been better priced around 11.99. Then I would have given it 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersQuite simply put I love my thermos flask it’s possibly the best money I ever spent.

I work outside so my dinners are useually bought on the road or boring sandwhichs brought from home. I was looking to at a way of cutting down my spending and breaking the manotaney of sandwhiches,

Looking at on food flasks I decided to go with the is as its a brand I know and despite being a little more expensive sometimes you get what you pay for defiantly in this case.

It never lets me down I fill it in the morning 7am (warm it up with boiling water first 5-10 mins) and come dinner time 1pm when I unscrew the lid without fail steam every time towards the bottom its to hot to eat and have to let it cool down. I use it for everything I have taken soup, stews, pasta bakes, left over teas, Sunday roasts even apple crumble same results every time steam coming out piping hot food. On cold wet windy day there is no better feeling than opening that lid

    Everyone should have one

Nice size; I love the foldable spoon; It does keep think warm.
Trail 1: hot water –> 8 hours —> super warm
Trail 2: I poured just boiled water in it and kept it in for 3-4 mins and then empty it. Then I immediately put my piping hot soup in. 3 hours later, I put some room temperature noodles in the soup and its still hot.

Not bad. And its just perfect for a hot lunch for a lady/child 🙂

This product looks amazing and does the job nicely. I considered getting a thermos flask for a while and decided since this one was the Top Brand and had a discount on the item I would buy myself one. I am not disappointed it looks great, and performs as advertised. The warranty is also a big plus. It is true when it comes to thermos flasks you get what you pay for. Avoid plastic and glass ones as they are useless and will break in no time, even if you are careful.

Excellent flask. I’ve only used this four times since purchase but so far so good! Ive used it for soup and for chilli con carne. Soup wise one was a chunky soup and the other a famous brand of tomato! I pre-warmed the flask with boiling water and heated the food / soup in the microwave to a higher temperature than would be OK to eat straight off! The soup / food was eaten four – five hours after packing up and on all both days was steaming hot! It is the perfect size for a standard can of soup for one! I think I’ll treat myself to the larger size too for when two of us go walking! Would highly recommend it.

An excellent product! Really happy with how hot the food stays after 10 minutes of pre-warming with boiling water in the morning. No leaks, has been very durable so far. The spoon is not too bad either, the size is a good portion size, we mostly use it for soup.
I would thoroughly recommend this product. We bought one in blue and one in red for me and my husband and love them.

Brought this for my son for school use. I knocked one star off as it states it is blue but it’s the darkest of dark blue! In actual fact we all thought they sent us black by mistake it’s only when you put it near sunlight you can see a tinge of blue. Would have been nicer if they stated it was a midnight blue colour. Anyway that aside we have used if for a couple of months now and all seems to be good with it, I reckon it works best for liquids more so than pasta (for which my son uses it for) but he says it’s still warm by lunchtime. Arrived quickly and well packaged.

This is not bad, but at almost 20 pounds it is very expensive. I needed something to keep my son’s food warm for when he is in Nursery. I normally make his lunch around 7 am ish and I believe it keeps warm enough till he has it at lunch because when I tried what was left from it at around 3:30pm it was still lukewarm and as a plus side, it fits into his lunchbox. There was no better choice in the matket than this

One of my best winter hiking gear discoveries, along with a similar product for beverages. It is SO nice to be able to go out hiking in the freezing cold and be able to have a breakfast of hot oatmeal, or chicken with roasted sweet potatoes. I pre-heated it with hot water as per the directions in the morning for the chicken, and it was still warm (not hot) when I ate it for lunch in the afternoon. For the oatmeal, which was too hot to eat when I first put it in, it was still piping hot by the afternoon even though I did not preheat with boiling water. I find this piece of kit to be a pleasure to use because it is so well designed — the spoon design is brilliant, as with the spoon holder, and you can use the top as a cup. I also find it to just be pleasing to look at (does that mean my tastes run utilitarian?) and not too heavy or bulky for even my tiny 9L bag for day hikes. Absolutely have recommended it to everyone in my hiking group!

OMG I have had this product over a year and yet every time I use it I fall in love with it! I am constantly recommending it to people and have so far had 2 people buy it after seeing me use mine. It keeps food and drink hot for literally hours, it can be used for drinks of tea, soup, curry and rice, noodle dishes – you name it and this product will keep it hot! I’ve had things in this for longer than 7 hours and they’ve still been hot/warm – 7hrs and it’s still scolding hot! The foldable metal spoon is a super bonus as most flasks give a plastic utensil not metal, so there’s little chance it will break. Amazing product that surpasses expectations every time.

bought so I can bring all my soup/stews to University from my student house, and therefore save money not buy expensive cafeteria food. If you do what is recommended and put some boiling water in and seal 10 mins before you put in the warm food, the flask keeps food etc at a very high temperature for a minimum of 6-7hrs, and the fold-away spoon that comes with the flask is also quite a nifty idea- originally thought i wouldn’t use it, but as its based partway in the flask- you can’t loose it.
Just to note this flask can take a fair amount of battering too and work wonderfully, unlike other flasks used in the past.

Bought 2 from Amazon for both me and the boyfriend, him to use to take to work and me for uni.
We both used ours for soup and noodles and so far it has held up on its claim to keep food hot for 7 hours! Fill the flask with boiling water for 10-15 mins to heat up the chamber, then empty out the flask immediately before filling with food. Food is still piping hot as if it’s just been cooked and we’ve even had to wait 5 mins for the food to cool down enough to eat without burning ourselves 🙂 We haven’t tried the food after 7 hours but I’m sure the food will still be warm.
I will try with some pasta and rice next week! Great investment, saved us both so much money on food everyday, as it’s expensive in London, as well as kept us eating healthy.
Only downside is I bought 2 in the same colour and we confuse our flasks but that was my fault 🙂

Unbelievable flask. I have not used it to keep things cold yet but I have used this every weekend to take shooting with me with hot soup. It is a brilliant size for one large portion of soup which I fill it at 8am and leave outside in the freezing weather and at 1pm it is still too hot to eat. It can be eaten straight out of the flask but I would recommend taking a bowl with you because it just does not cool down in the flask! I have bought 2 more since for friends and they both love theirs as much as I love mine. I have had cheaper flasks in the past but they just do not compare and it is well worth the extra couple of quid for this, I can safely say I will not be buying anything other than Thermos in the future! I can not recommend this enough!

If i have 1 complaint it would be to say that the delivery is a little hit and miss. My sister placed her order at the same time as me and she had hers delivered in 48 hours. However it took 5 days for mine to arrive. That said…..this flask is just what i wanted, it keeps the food hot for ages, just as long as you put boiling water in the flask to warm it up prior to putting your food in. Its a v simple process. Im happy!

Really good little flask. Not too big – enough for one portion of soup or something for lunch.

Keeps things hot enough, but once it’s been opened you do need to eat it quite quickly! It fits nicely in a handbag, washes really easily and doesn’t keep the smell of what you had too much, although would need thorough cleaning if you wanted to go from savoury to sweet. The spoon is really well-made, and won’t break.

I seem to have used this practically every day since I bought it, good sized little flask, holds a tin of soup with room for more if I needed, very easy to use and keeps the soup hot for a good long time – be sure and fill it with boiling water for about 15 mins before using for food to ensure the flask works for longest, the one time I rushed it didn’t do quite as well. It cleans easily too, with no staining or fiddly hard-to-reach bits. I’ve not used the lid/bowl as the neck is wide enough for me to eat out of the flask, the spoon is nicely robust however and folds neatly when not in use. Highly recommended.

Really glad I’ve got it. Keeps the food steaming hot for 5 hours, worm for 6. Feel it up with boiling water for couple of minutes before you put your hot food in, it will “preheat” the thermos and will keep the heat longer. Haven’t tried the liquid food yet (soups)… I assume hot liquid will stay hot even longer. Overall it’s a great little thermos, provides me with hot home made food while I’m away driving… Highly recommended. Comes with the fold-able spoon, which fits in the cap.

I regularly kiss this thermos, it makes me so happy.

Hot food; fill it with boiling water to heat it before use and your soup or whatever will be hot at lunch… Not long after though. It’s probably good for about 6 hours tops.

Cold food; I put it in the fridge for a bit, you don’t have to, then fill it with icy smoothie and it’s still as freezing cold & slushy 2 hours later. Not tried it any longer than that.

It’s probably saved me 100s and 1000s of kcals in cafe/ canteen food and it’s such a classic design.

The spoon’s pretty useful but the only downside is the metal-on-metal sound when you’re scooping stuff out sometimes.

    So useful.

My Daughter commutes into University everyday and because she would get home at some weird times we wanted to make sure she at least had a hot lunch to keep her going. This flask is brilliant, keeps the food hot and Ive had no complaints. She has been using it for a while its very sturdy and it is as good as new apart from the washer around the neck has gone a little yellow. Great idea with the fold up spoon. Just warm the flask with hot water whilst you are heating up your meal to keep the contents piping hot. holds a tin of soup or a ready meal no problems. Highly recommended.

I was really bored of cold packed lunches for work so I bought this and a slow cooker cook book (I’m also a lazy, terrible cook). The thermos is great! Perfectly sized for a nice portion of soup or stew. The spoon is nice and sturdy.
I’ve had no problems with the food being cold. I prep with boiling water with the lid screwed on for 10 mins, then pour in the hot food straight away. The longest I’ve had food in there is 4 hours and it’s been piping hot upon opening.
Followed other reviewers advice on keeping the thermos upright in my bag. No idea if it makes a difference but I’m happy with the product.
    Also very easy to clean.

I recently changed jobs and my new job requires that I travel about. I dislike sandwiches and cold food so somebody suggested a flask, hence my purchase.
This flask is really smart looking, in a lovely red with a folded up spoon that fits in the lid. It has just enough space for my lunch which normally consists of spag bol, curries or stir-frys. I simply make extra for my dinner the night before. In the morning i microwave the food whilst leaving boiling water in the flask (this appears to keep the food hotter for longer)
Some days my food has been the warmer side of warm and sometimes it has been steaming.
All in all I am pleased with my purchase.

Bought this item to take stews, casseroles, rice and soup meals to work as I am a vegetarian. Everywhere tends to sell sandwiches with cheese in and that about as adventurous as it gets. I read the reviews and took into account the advice. Pre warming the container with boiling water for 10 mins is essential if you want the container to work well. I like my food hot not warm, it works brilliantly. Definitely recommend this item.

It is a really good flask and keeps food hot , It is good that it is not to big and bulky i use it 4-5 days a week to put my dinner .

Spoon becomes almost useless after a while you have to have a certain knack to use it otherwise it folds and the rivet joints start to become lose almost which causes spoon to fold while in use .

The base of the flask has detached and i have taped it back on with masking tape as i was unable to reattach it i work on my own so looks dont matter and the flask still works very well and keeping food ho

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve waited for a few weeks before writing a review because I wanted to check the product works and I can report that it does.

I prepare the flask at 6am and leave it with boiling water for 30 minutes before filling it with either a tin of soup or a tin of spaghetti. I can confirm that when the flask is opened at 1pm the contents are still piping hot. The only time the contents were tepid was when I only put half a tin of spaghetti in, there was more room in there for air and it cooled much quicker.

The fold up spoon is a great idea and the flask is also nice and easy to wash. Overall I’m very pleased with this.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersGreat product. Nicely made, robust. Does what it says – i fill it at 06:30 and the food is still piping got at 12:30 when i have lunch.

Couple of things though to those who say it doesnt work

    (1) make sure you “prime” it with boiling water first for at least five mins.
    (2) make sure you dont let the food contents touch the inside of the black plastic screw cap (ie, dont overfill)
    (3) make sure you keep it upright, ie, dont let the food touch the lid.

A small amount of heat dissipates through the plastic lid, and this is normal, BUT if you dont follow the above your food will not retain its heat. Simples.

This flask has lots going for it: it looks great, the spoon folds and fits perfectly, and the size is ideal. But even pre-warmed with boiling water and filled with piping hot food, it doesn’t stay hot for more than a few hours. However, I’m very satisfied if the food stays warm; medium-warm rice and veg is perfectly ok in the middle of a working day. If you expect to find steaming hot soup after 5 hours, you will probably be disappointed. I haven’t found an unbreakable small flask that keeps food truly hot, but this is certainly one of the better ones.

I’ve recently been entered at the university of Copenhagen, and let me tell you, i spend a lot of time on campus. Now, being a rather poor student, the cafeteria wasn’t exactly a viable option in the long term, having high prices and, unfortunately, a somewhat lower quality. This is where this product comes into the picture. Being able to prepare a hot (and cheap) meal in the morning, and having it hours later, is a true lifesaver on those long days with little to zero energy.

The reason this product worn’t receive 5 stars is due to the fact that the gasket fell of rather quickly, and hereafter seemed to vanish into thin air. Not to worry though, the truly kindly people at Amazon have already begun shipping a new one.

Overall, i would advise people to buy it, as it’s great to bring to work, school, camping etc. where a warm meal can dramatically improve the day.

Bought two of these for my sons to have hot soup and pasta at school in the winter. Easy to use and clean, however the white plastic seal on the thermos screw lid has already discoloured due to tomato soup! Clever use of the folding spoon which is stored in the top of the lid. Solid body but the silver cup tops are easy to dent if bashed around in a school bag. Keeps food piping hot for hours. Fits nicely into a kids lunchbag with some bread rolls. Overall great product but quite pricey.

The wide neck means no more drips on the work-surface and the clever folding spoon in the lid means no more of our spoons going awol in her desk. Read a lot of reviews of this food jar before buying, and wasn’t sure it would work as it should, but we are very pleased with the results. You definitely need to prepare the jar with hot water for a good 10 mins before putting the food in, but if you do this the food will stay hot for a good 5-6hours. We have tried chilli, spaghetti bolognese and pasta with sauce and cheese, and all stayed hot enough for my very fussy husband to enjoy. It has changed lunch time for him! I heat soup/leftovers (eg cottage pie) up in the microwave at 7.30 and put it into my flask. When I open it up at 12.30 sometimes later it is still steaming hot. I am having to blow on it to cool it down before eating!
Exactly what I wanted and for a great price as well.

All in the title really. Received this yesterday and today tried it out for the first time. Followed the instruction and warmed the flask up for 10 mins with hot water, then filled with 400g of hot chunky soup at 8:30 this morning. Opened the flask at 1pm and the soup was just as hot as when I poured it into the flask 4.5 hours earlier. I ate the soup direct from the flask with the folding spoon supplied and had to blow on every spoonful. Because it has a good wide neck it was easy to rinse out afterwards. Tomorrow I will be having Macaroni Cheese, num num num.

I have used this this thermos for 5 months now.
If I preheat the thermos as recommended I found that porridge I made at 6.00am was still nice and warm at mid day, but actually still too hot at 9.00am.
So if I am using it for breakfast I do not need to preheat the thermos.
The stainless steel top became unstuck from the plastic bowl almost immediately, which was dissapointing but not a problem.
The spoon in the lid is a nice idea. However, it is so shallow, that you can hardly get any food on it, so I used a soup spoon instead.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve owned this flask for about a month and have only used it for home made soups which are big chunky ones, so same sort of consistency as a pasta meal (Which other thought would cool to quickly). I fill it with just boiled water whilst heating the soup and then the soup goes in before 07:00 and meal eaten after 12:30. The contents are still so hot that I’ve had to blow the soup to cool it down. As a previous reviewer I too am left handed so the supplied folding spoon is a waste of time for me hence the four star rating instead of five which the flask itself merits.

If you work in the cold outdoors you need this in your life..NOW!The only gripe I have is that it’s not BIGGER.

the only reason i give it 4 stars is the size is a bit on the small size – it is perfect for me, but i would be hesitant to buy this for a man or someone who eats a larger lunch.

I bought this flask as I just started uni and I simply have to have hot lunches…. This flask fits in my (sizeable) handbag, the food really does stay boiling hot for hours and hours but only if you follow the instructions properly and preheat it first. It also helps if you fill it up properly so that there is not too much air between the food and the lid. It does not leak in any way and in the evening I just put it in the dishwasher with the rest of my washing up…. simply great, I would definitely recommend this product.
