Can’t recommend this enough for peace of mind!
Great product! We got this about a month ago for our cat Rox who had never been outside, she seemed overwhelmed with the outside and couldn’t find her way home. It took hours to find her, with lots of pacing the streets, worry and tearful kids. I did lots of research to find the best tracker for Rox and this seemed to fit the bill.

I was a little worried that the tracker itself might be too big for her to keep round her neck comfortably and that she’d try to get it off. I didn’t need to worry at all. She was a little skittish for the first few minutes with it on, but that’s probably because she’s never worn a collar before. Rox settled down and doesn’t mind having it on at all. In fact, now she knows that when her collar goes on, it means she can go outside. The leather strap is great and even with a skinny neck, I could make it small enough to fit her. She’s just over 4kg but very long quite skinny. She seems comfortable in it too as she can sleep easily while wearing it.

The app has been a godsend for me and the kids. I don’t have to worry that we won’t know where she is. I can see in the history setting where all of Rox’s favourite places to go are, and if I put the app in “real time track”, it’s been 100% accurate. I’ve not had to use the “search” function of the app yet which will set off the alarm on the tracker but I tested it before I put it on Rox and it worked. The kids love using it too when they can’t find her.

The battery life is really good. I fully charge it at night and then Rox wears it for a few days, but I can keep an eye on the battery level on the app. I haven’t let it go below 40% yet as I don’t want it to run out the one time I need to activate the search functions. Rox goes under/over fences, through hedges etc and the collar hasn’t come off yet so I think it’s pretty sturdy. Reassuring to know it’s got the release function of she were to get stuck somewhere, then I could just activate the search function and go and find it.

The subscription pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the peace of mind it has given to us. I took out a one year subscription for 65 and it’s been worth every penny. I’m hoping that as Rox gets older, she’ll become more confident out and about and may not need the tracker forever, but even renewing each year would be worth it. It’s cheaper if you take out a longer subscription too.

I can’t recommend this tracker enough, I’d recommend it to anyone with a new cat that wants to go out, if you move house, or if you’re like me and just want the peace of mind of knowing you can find your cat if you need to. I’ve recommended it to several of my friends already.

    Very useful
Great product. My boy runs around all over the place and thus is helpful to see where he is at night. It’s pretty accurate and I can usually find him from this, only thing niggle is that once every so often it will say he’s shot a couple of miles away then come back but that’s usually when he’s going up a tree or something and the GPS has gone off par for a moment! Very easy to use, and great battery life too. I clip the tracker off each night and leave my lad with the smaller plastic piece that holds the tracker.

    Does the job
Our cat is quite petite (about 3.5kg). The tracker comes with a collar with an integrated mount for the tracker (you unclip the tracker to remove and charge). We found the collar supplied with the kit a little big on our cat (but it does recommend ~4kg+) and the clasp is very easy break! Unfortunately, because of this she lost the tracker on day 1! The tracker does also comes with a mount so you can attach it to an existing collar. We switched to this and since it has stayed firmly attached to the collar with no loss of tracker since! I should also say that we managed to locate the lost collar by using the app and playing the sound which I suppose illustrates the point – it functions well as it should for its intended purpose (provided it remains attached). The app itself is pretty good – interesting to see her little heat map! We didn’t realise that you had to pay annually or biannually (rather than monthly) for the app subscription. It was 145 for 2 years I think. I think it would make the technology a bit more accessible if a monthly subscription was available as I image not everyone would be keen to pay all up front (us included). Final point is just relating size. We were worried about this. When I sent photos to family of our cat wearing it, they all said it looks ridiculously big. It is very light but she seems to get on ok with it. We don’t let her out overnight so when she comes in in the evening we take it off. I probably wouldn’t want to leave it on 24hr/day as it is bulky and might become irritating but no real issue so far… we are more concerned about having the option to know where she is after losing her for a couple of days recently!

A 'No Brainer' for cat parents.
This was a risky purchase for us as we get awful phone signal at home. But the GPS is perfect and battery life is dependent on the distances and setup you use
We started tracking and have been flabbergasted by the miles out cat is putting in. This is a must buy for anyone interested in where their cats go when they are not asleep at home. I cannot believe I did not buy one soone

Reliable and easy to use tracke
We bought three tractive trackers for our cats when we moved house. We were worried they might go missing when we finally let them out.

So easy to setuo, all three setup in minutes. The app is easy to use and allows you to create a profile for each cat (think Facebook!) and then create a geofence so you know if your pet leaves the area.

Tracking is good and if you are out search for a pet (as we were last night!) You can switch on a light and alarm for visual and audio help finding your beloved pet. Battery life depends on how often the tracker checks in. I would say max 2 days between charges.

Overall a great tracker. Just remember you need to buy a subscription for each so not cheap but well worth it for piece of mind.

    Peace of mind
This product is excellent. Although its subscriptions are somewhat pricey, I get the piece of mind knowing my cat is safe. Despite the distance accuracy being slightly off-course, if I need to find the cat, it is always within a metre or so. The light and sound functions ease this when searching at night. Better still, the cat seems fine with its new tracker collar and doesn’t try to remove it!

    Good for the money
Good for the price, reassured us when we moved house that the cat was OK and we knew where he was. Lost the collar once and managed to use the app to locate it in a field!!

If you have a runaway cat - you need this
Our cat was being taken in by neighbours for weeks, but we could not find out who….until this collar was fitted. Now the neighbours are scared to take her in overnight. We can see where she is, so call for her when nearby and she comes back in. WARNING…. Do not use the break away collar that this comes with. Luckily the collar came off when we forgot to put the tracker on….would have been a bit expensive. Make sure a proper collar is fitted or glue the clip together on the original

Serious about a pet tracker? This is the one.
I’ve tried a few different trackers for my cat and had a good one a few years ago but the company closed, I bought a Vodafone one and it was laughable. So don’t waste your money on something really cheap, it won’t perform well and you’ll won’t get that piece of mind you are looking for.

All trackers seem to use similar technology, a mix of WiFi and GPS but for some reason the cheap ones just don’t work very well.

This one is far superior – you get what you pay for, and with this you’ll know where your pet is, it’s really easy to use, and despite looking big it’s really light and so won’t bother your cat at all.

It has a few additional features that other trackers don’t do that I love:

    – If the tracker gets lost the light and sound function works well, and saves you having to knock on doors apologising for running in a neighbour’s garden as you can see or hear it and so find it really easily.

    – If your cat is home, this tracker also shows you it’s within Bluetooth range too, so you know it’s nearby.

With GPS you will find that the location sometimes jumps around a little, it happens with all trackers, but you can tell it’s not a true location reading as it will show your pet had moved in straight lines, through houses etc that is impossible. You can ignore this and within seconds it will find your pet.

So I would definitely recommend this tracker above any other. Well done Tractive you do have a quality product here.

    Accurate but I wouldn't recommend.
So I brought this collar for my 7 month old cat to let him out the house for the first time. The children were really worried he wouldn’t come back so we decided to buy a tracker for their peace of mind.

The tracker is rather large but it didn’t bother our cat what so ever. The tracker itself is great, very accurate! However the collar it comes with wasn’t so brilliant. We have only had the tracker 3 weeks and he has lost it 3/4 times. Luckily we are able to find the tracker due to the location finder. However he lost the whole collar and tracker again yesterday and unfortunately we have no idea where it is as it is now out of battery.

I did pay for a year up front of being able to track the cat but unfortunately I didn’t pay the extra to replace the tracker if it gets lost.

So overall I wouldn’t really recommend the tracker as over the past 3 weeks we have the lost the tracker itself 3 times and then whole tracker and collar twice. So I have paid 55 for the initial cost, and then 55 for the subscription and I no longer have the collar or the tracker.

UPDATE- The customer service I have received from Tractive has been incredible. They have sent another tracker out to me and mount to attach to the cats normal collar. Fingers crossed this stays on longer than before. But the customer service I have received has been amazing!

    Couldnt be without this!!
I love this product! My cat was the tendacy to wander off and get himself lost! I got the tracker in the hope it would help us locate him easily….and it really does! You can use it in “live” mode which gives you an up to date location and have the option to turn on the light or sound to help find your furry friend in the dark.
I wasnt sure if it was going to be worth the money or if it would be too annoying for jet but he doesn’t seemed bothered by it and happily goes about his business with the tracker in. Hes currently indoors so the battery is on charge.
Honestly if you want to have peace of mind about where your pet goes, get this….its highly worth it.

Using it for my cat because she disappears for a few days in a row and was always worried. The battery could last 7 days instead of just 5 but apart from that it’s all good. Very light device and accurate.

Had this tracker a week and already I love it. It gives me peace of mind when I can see exactly where my cat is especially if he’s been out for quite a while. Would highly recommend. The subscription is quite expensive but it’s worth every penny.

I have 3 trackers and they are very reliable. They do go in and out of reception now and again, but usually the live tracking sorts this out. Sometimes when they lose reception, it notifies you that your cat has left the virtual fence, but its pretty obvious when this happens that they are not miles away, and soon comes back.
All in all I am happy with these trackers, and the Tractive team are lovely and helpful.
They also prompt you to update, which I have noticed over a couple of years have improved them a lot, so I think if issues arise, they can be rectified which is a good feature.
The only problem for me is that they are rather big, but the cats dont seem to mind them so not a massive issue.
I would recommend, and it is comforting to have an idea of where your cats are spending most of their time.
    Good product.

I’m so glad we brought this. I was worried about losing my cat when we moved house. I can see exactly where she’s going and can easily find her with the light and sound feature. I thought it was expensive but it’s been worth the money for reassurance. Battery life last about two days, pretty accurate and extremely easy to use.

Purchased after our cat went missing for nine days.
Its fairly accurate in terms of pinpointing your cat, identified hiding places we would never have thought of and it has a built in league table to show your cats activity v’s other cats globally and locally.
My only criticism is battery life, I change daily (I have a spare) but an lucky if it lasts 2.5 days.

    Good product, great customer service.
I’ve been looking for a GPS cat tracker for a while and bought this model on recommendation from a colleague.

It arrived very quickly and was very simple to set up and register. Buyers should be aware, however, that the advertised subscription price, whilst accurate, must be purchased in block periods of 1, 2 or 5 years with payment up front. We went for 1 year of the premium rate as we didnt want to commit too heavily and then find our cat didn’t like wearing it.

The tracker unit itself is small but not tiny, it still looks quite large on a cat and I can see why Tractive only recommend it for cats over 4kg – Our 5.5kg male doesn’t seem bothered by it but I certainly wouldn’t put it on my smaller female cat. Despite the size, the unit is fairly light and easy to charge with the supplied USB lead (we’re finding that we get 4-5 days of use per charge). Our cat DID manage to detach the tracker from the collar clip twice in the first three days but, one quick email to Tractive’s customer support dept later and they despatched us a replacement collar with integrated clip, plus a spare clip to use on any collar, completely free of charge. Very impressive.

Tracking is achieved via a mobile app (you can also access it via a web page, but the app offers more functionality) which is best described as ‘Garmin Connect for cats’! You can see a GPS trace of where your cat has been (or, indeed, is right now) and also heat maps of commonly visited areas, this is fully customisable by whichever time period you choose. You can also input your cat’s measurements and weight to see a daily calorie burn count and even a local leaderboard of active minutes/distance covered, with the option to befriend owners of fellow Tractive-equipped cats!
Additonally, you can upload photos of your cat, together with their chip ID, whether they’ve been spayed/nueutered or not, plus your contact details.

All in all, this seems to be a good quality product with excellent support. It isn’t the cheapest but I guess the adage of ‘you get what you pay for’ applies here. If I could improve one thing, it would be a reduction in size of the tracker unit by at least half. I imagine this will come over time and will be interested in upgrading when it does.

    Very reassuring tracke
Having a Tractive tracker and corresponding app for my cat Louis gives me great peace of mind. I can see where he is at any given time, which is great, as he is new to going outside and is not very streetwise yet. The tracker has popped off his collar a couple of times, but that could be because I haven’t clicked it on properly. That does give me cause for concern, and I wonder if there is a more secure way of attaching it to the collar. Otherwise, I’m completely happy and very pleased that I decided to get the Tractive tracke

This tracker is just the right size for my cat. I was able to find out where he is going, as I was concerned someone else was feeding him. Turns out he is going to someone else’s house, after all! I feel more assured when my cat is wearing this tracker at night as I know if He is nearby. Accurate too. Well worth the money.

Highly recommended for cat owners wanting peace of mind
Purchased a Tractive GPS collar for Cats in February 2020 as we were temporarily moving into a rental property and were concerned about how our cats would react in their new external surroundings once we allowed them out. We have cats who don’t go far from home and cats who like to wander a bit further afield so the tracker was really for them. 8 weeks after moving one of our cats went missing, luckily he was wearing the tracker and we managed to locate him no problem despite him hiding in undergrowth where we couldn’t see or access him. The accuracy of the GPS location was within about 6 feet of where he actually was and the flashing light on the tracker enabled us to quickly spot him in the dark of the night. He wouldn’t come out of the undergrowth and we couldn’t get to him so we eventually had to leave him there overnight, but we were able to keep checking his location which was reassuring. Early next morning we did manage to get him out to discover he’d got a minor injury, probably from fighting another cat. We were so worried about him while he was missing and overnight and the tracker was worth every penny to know where he was.
We bought an extra battery from the start which enabled us to always have one fully charged – they normally last 3 days if you don’t have the ‘Live’ location function on. You can check the battery % on your app which is really useful. The batteries have just started to reduce their life time after about 10 months of continual usage so I think I will need to buy two more soon.
We have just moved again into the house we were waiting to be built and so the tracker is proving invaluable again as the cats start to explore another set of new external surroundings.
Not sure if I missed this feature or it has been part of the recent app update but I have found I can now remotely turn the tracker light on and make a sound come out of it – even better for locating a missing or hiding pet !
The cost of the tracker, batteries and subscription are worth every penny for the peace of mind you get from knowing where your pets are.
I have given 5 stars, I would have given 4.5 if I could because of the battery life. I would have expected a couple of years of usage before needing to replace.
Overall a fantastic product I would highly recommend.

    Fantastic peace of mind!!
My wife and I were after a way of tracking our cat who has recently expanded his territory. We had hopes for this and thankfully they we’re all exceeded.

The accuracy is great, even where we are which is quite rural. Our cat goes into the woods nearby and is still very accurate. He can be hard to find at times when he is trying to hide (especially given he is all black) but the tracker has a built in sounder which you can turn on via the app when you are trying to find them which makes things so much easier.

The app also has other great features so you can see the past 24 hours of history where they have been which you can overlay on a satellite image which makes things SOOO much easier.

Battery life tends to be around 4-5 days. When you use the live tracking function, it use use up more battery power… but charging only takes less than 2 hours.

The tracker stays on the collar really well… so don’t need to worry about it coming off. Collar is leather and really well made.

You do have to subscribe to a subscription in order for it to work… but in the grand scheme of things, it’s worth it… just having peace of mind knowing where they are and that they won’t get lost is such a massive benefit.

I would recommend anyone who has a cat that likes to roam getting one as the cost is nothing when you know your family member is safe.

    Great great product!!

So pleased with our Tractive collar, so easy to use and the app is BRILLIANT. Incredibly accurate and especially love the live tracking. We initially bought a competitor brand due to their collar being far sleeker and I wanted the comfort factor for Kevin but we were very disappointed with the collar, the accuracy wasn’t good, quite often a 30 minute delay in his last location, anyhow he lost that collar and we could never find it!!!! Tractive is just wonderful, wish we had bought it initially. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

I have a six month old Norwegian Forest cat who decided he was ready to start exploring outside our garden. We live in a rural area with lots of open fields and wooded areas. Although nervous of putting a collar on him, I gave it a go and so pleased I did. I can relax and keep a check on exactly where he is and if necessary go find him and bring him closer to home. The little blue flashing light when the ‘live’ is enabled is great as I can often see that long before I see him in the dark. Accuracy is sometimes a bit off but that’s probably due to the location where we are as phone signals are sometimes not wonderful.

Accurate tracking but don't recommend the colla
I bought the original tractive cat earlier this year with the care package, I’m glad I did take out care, as after the loss of two original trackers due to breaking away at the battery instead of the breakaway point I was given an ikati instead. All went well for a few weeks, then my cat started dropping it regularly, often within 10 minutes of going out. I discovered that he was catching the clasp on the collar that is supplied with it when having a scratch, as this isn’t a clip as such, it’s a kind of dovetail connection that easily slips open if caught to the side with a claw, also once altered to fit it sits on the side of the neck, rather than on the back, again sitting right where cats scratch.
I’d recommend buying a separate safety collar with a more secure clip to use with the mount instead. He’s only dropped his collar twice since, once scrapping (it was in the middle of the garden) and once caught in a hedge.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFantastic bit of kit that provides complete peace of mind
We bought the tracker for our re-homed Bengal as we were worried about him going out in a brand new environment. It’s proved invaluable & gives so much peace of mind.

Accuracy is pretty good for the most part & the battery lasts for the day, we close the cat flap & re-charge it over night.
The fact that it has a flashing light when live tracking really helps, especially at night & the light/sound function has helped us locate the collar a couple of times when it came off, including from inside a neighbour’s conservatory!

It’s a bit chunky but is absolutely fine on our Bengal & it doesn’t bother him in the slightest. The Hunter collar it came with wasn’t very secure as the quick release clasp comes apart too easily, so we use the separate mount on his usual collar. This was missing from the box but customer services sent one out immediately & replaces it when it was found to be faulty. Very responsive & very helpful.

All in all, a great purchase that provides peace of mind, is a great insight into the secret life of your cat & great customer service.

Brilliant all round just one thing is the small battery doesn’t last very long maybe a day and a half but the larger battery last 3-4 days which is a lot better!!! Helped us find out where our cat had been turns out he does a lot of miles in the night!

    Well worth the money
I bought the Tractive GPS after our cat had gone missing for 2 days and had turned up filthy and traumatised. It was so easy to set up on the app and attach to her collar. I now know almost exactly where she is at any given moment and can check on battery life with ease. One has to remember that the GPS is not accurate down to the last cm, but it gives a good approximate location and has a light and sound to refine your search. One can teach them to associate the sound with food which aids their return!

We got the tractive GPS collar for our cat and I must say that it is well worth the investment. Although you would still have to pay for a subscription, it is still a good deal and we can keep an eye on our cat without leaving our seats!! So would highly recommend this product!

Peace of mind - with some quirks
This is a good product that does work.
However, it’s not just a stick it on the cat and leave it kind of thing. You’ll need to get in to a routine of taking it off to charge, getting it back on the cat, cleaning it (because it ends up in food bowls and mud etc)
It’s certainly fun to see where they go and get alerted if they go too far.
It’s also big. Probably too big for certain cats – one of my petite cats wouldn’t tolerate it as it’d be absolutely huge on her. Shame it’s not just a little smaller.
Accuracy varies from excellent to ok.
Also worth noting that it doesn’t get signal inside. So if your cat gets stuck inside somewhere – you’re not going to be able to track it.
The collar that comes in the box came off many times and I’ve had to go searching for the tracker more times than I can remember. In the end the collar itself disappeared??? (No idea what these cats get up to) but I did find the tracker which is the main thing.
Luckily there is a second attachment inside the box so I was able to buy a new collar, add the attachment and continue. I will say the new collar hasn’t come off once and is so much better. The included collar is a Hunter brand, leather one – a nice touch…but the safety clasp on mine seemed too weak – like yeah ok, my cat isn’t going to get strangled but it also shouldn’t be falling off every time she jumps off a wall. The one we have now works much better and still has a safety quick release clasp.
One of the silliest things an about the app is that you can’t turn on the sound or light in case you need to go to track down your cat or tracker. So you need to open a browser window and login online to do it. Which is a bit annoying when you’re running around with your phone in your hand – obviously out of your house to try to find it. If this could be made as an enhancement to the app it would be much better.
Overall, it’s given me peace of mind. We are now in a routine of using it and my cat doesn’t seem to mind wearing all that much it even though it is a big lump. She’s just happy she can go outside.
Worth it for me and I look forward to app enhancements and smaller models in the future.

Good product, good customer service too.
The tracker is good for the price. We found that the free collar that it came with fell off easily, but the device could be fastened to any alternative collar through the use of an attachment that was also provided for free. This company provides good customer service should you have any issues.

    Can your cat do this?
Would recommend to anyone that’s worried about losing their cat. By using the play sound from the collar option in the settings to not only find the collar If the cat slips out of the collar, I’ve trained my cat to come home at the click of a button on my phone anywhere… Genius.

An easier life, less stress and happy children.
Our Bengal had a habit of disappearing all day and getting him home was difficult which was quite upsetting for the kids, many evenings searching for him in the undergrowth. We suspected some neighbours were feeding him as he was never hungry when home. Since fitting the Tractive we can find him much easier and neighbours are less likely to feed as it’s obvious his owners know where he is spending his time! Tractive gps tracker fits very well, good accuracy and battery life.

Only downside, 2 occasions the quick release collar has come off, but we have been able to find the collar and tracker by the gps location and the option to switch on sound when you get near.

    Good customer service
    UPDATE:
After my complaint about this product I recieved excellent customer service. They contacted me directly and offered a refund. I was happy with this. The only qualm I still have is that we were led to believe that we could subscribe for just a few months. However, the only option was a full year.

Product has broken 3 weeks into its use. And there is no way to return it as I received it one month ago. I will charge the battery over night and by morning the battery will still be flat. Poor poor quality product.
The subscription to the GPS is also misleading, the description states you can pay for 3, 6 or 12 month GPS usage. However after you buy this product you will find out you can only do a 12 month subscription at a much higher cost than advertised. All together I have spent over 100 on this product and its subscription to the GPS and I got 3 weeks use out of it!! I will say that for the few weeks the tracker worked it was great, but not worth it. Do not buy this product.

    No more worrys
Studley (my cat) is a roamer and after losing him for a week we decided we could not go through the upset again. Brought this and once we got him home (and after his grounding had ended), he was let back out with the tracker attached. He went off again and didn’t come back. So next day aimed with phone we tracked him down over a mile from home. Thank god for the tracker and the peace of mind we now have. Only concern and not yet an issue is that the battery only last two days. So we now track him down each evening and keep him in overnight.

We got this for our little one and it has been incredibly useful in finding her at night. Cat tracke
We bought this for our elder cat when he started wandering , 30hrs away from home sometimes. Delivery was great , easy to set up and use. The virtual fence can be set as small or big as we want so we get alerts when he goes outside our immediate garden
Our cat is huge ,7.8kg so the size doesn’t bother him but on a small cat it may be more difficult and too bulky.
Records and auto updates are really good.
The Main issue is the battery drains quite quickly so we bought 3 more so we can keep them charged and changed every day .

Gives great peace of mind to us and we now pretty much where he is at any given time

    Very reliable
I like that I am alerted when he leaves the fence and can see where he is going , surprised at how far he ventures sometime as I would never have looked that far for him and I don’t worry so much when he is out as I can track him live . Would prefer if it came in different colours. Olly has had his Tractive for about 6 months and knows he is getting out as soon as we click it on his collar. He has came home a few times without his collar as it is a quick release and it is so accurate we can track it on our phones and find it again. I would recommend anyone with a cat that goes out on his own to get one as it gives you peace of mind

We bought this simply for reassurance when our wee lad goes for a wander. Not only can you see accurately where he is, but if needs be, you can find him easily – the light and sound functions assist. He has now learned to return home when the sound is activated. Battery is generally fine but advisable to recharge before letting them outside. One of the larger trackers but with size comes accuracy and functionality. Highly recommend

I highly recommend the Tractive Cat tracker!
After my little boy had to have a leg amputated after going missing and then finally arriving home with a broken leg, there was no way he was going to be allowed back out again without a tracker. I got the Tractive one because of the good reviews and it has definitely been worth it, I know where he is 24hrs a day, and the piece of mind it gives is priceless. The app is great and I love the activity monitoring as well as being able to see where he is and the live tracking is a fabulous feature!
We have a spare battery so there is one always fully charged and ready to swap when needed. Another of my cats has just returned home after being missing for 3 days so another tracker has been ordered!!

    Good tracking
My first review was quite negative because the tracker that I received was probably defective as it never got GPS signal so unless my cat was 2 meters from me I got nothing.

I asked for a replacement to Amazon and the second unit is working better.

It seems that the first time you turn the tracker on it takes a good time to get the GPS signal (around 30 mins) but once it got it is quite consistent and quick to reconnect if the connection is lost (once you turn the tracker off to charge or inside a house) so big issues on that.

Something that I don’t like much but I assume is a GPS problem is the tracker lost connection when the cat is indoor, I don’t mind if the cat is in my house but not if the cat is inside someone else’s home. I bought the tracker because my cat spent a lot of time outside, something we don’t even see him in a day and we suspected a neighbour was feeding him. We know more now, but still, if the cat is inside a house we can only guess.
A good feature is the turning the sound on, so the tracker makes a sound, it seems bothering the cat, but it kind out work if the cat is inside someone house, so they can receive proper punishment for “stealing” someone else cat, specially if you turn the sound on in the middle of the night.

The live tracker works well and the battery gives good performance if you are not constantly checking the live feed. You don’t need to check it constantly, because the auto update is quite good and the heatmap gives you a good idea of where you cat roam.

The subscription is misleading because is always presented as x/mth but it’s charged in full once subscribed, so beware that even if the tracker only cost 45 you will need to almost double this expend to start using it.

The customer support is not the more quick in the world, but they give good advice and seems they care.

The description says it came with a leather collar, not true, mine came without it in both instances. Customer support said I was unlucky but I am not quite sure about it because as I said, I received 2 units and both came without collar.

    Peace of mind
4/5 stars because the battery life is terrible and the accuracy is not always great, however, it does give me peace of mind in knowing where my cat is.
I thought the bulky size would be a problem but my cat does not seem to be bothered, he sleeps with it fine and he’s quite small (1.5 years and 4.2kg).
The gps accuracy does not always work well. Sometime it shows my cat as being at the front of the house when he’s actually at the back. The non live tracking mode is meant to update every few minutes but sometimes it can go for over 30 min without updating until the live mode is turned on.
It does not work indoors so if my cat goes into someone else’s house and the location has not been updated in a while I lose track of him.
He lost it at least 3 times and I was able to find it even though he loses in a field full of high bushes and nettles (painful to get it). I was mostly able to find through the sound although it’s not too loud and it was near a noisy road so it took me a while. But I understand it can’t be too loud otherwise it’d be harmful to the cats.
The battery life is terrible and I hope they can enhance it in a newer model. It claims to last for up to 2 days but if it’s not charged everyday it will die in the middle of the second day, not a good thing to let it happen when your cat goes missing for the full afternoon. I charge every night.
My cat is a little explorer who is happy to get out in the morning and only come back at the end of the day, so this tracker has given me a great peace of mind, before I spent the whole day worried about him. Now at least I know where he is even if he doesn’t want to come home during the day.
If the accuracy and the battery life were better it would be a 5 star product.
I’ve had the tracker for about 4 months.

    Get a better strap....
GPS accurate time within about 10ft, works very well. My only concern is the fastening, it is a safety release type in case the cat is left hanging by the collar it won’t strangle it. But it is TOO easy to open, if cat scratches it will just pull it off… the sound it makes is also poor, have to be very close to hear.

So I have turned into a cat stalker. Its nice to know where he is and where he spends most of his time. Sometimes it takes a while for the tracker to connect to my phone to update his activity but so far so good. Aldo it needs charging every other day which is a tad annoying but worth it. It tracks how calm he is, playful and active it is like a Fitbit for a cat.

No more anxiety and a bit fun to see where the cat has explored
Bought this after our house cat went missing for couple days. It is helpful to know where the cat is, even the GPS location is somehow a bit shifted and not very accurate. It’s also fun to see how far the cat goes and to know his routines at the surrounding area.

    Cons:
    1) The battery life is about 2 days, not as the ad claims. Have to buy a second one as a replacement every 2 days.
    2) The tracker once was separated from the holder and lost at the back yard of a neighbour’s house. With the GPS and the light initiated by Live function, after visiting several potential places, we finally got it back before the battery ran out. Now we wrap the tracker with the holder by tape to avoid this happen again.
    3) It occasionally loses its GPS signal for several hours or half a day and only shows inaccurate, when we know that our cat is somewhere outside.

Wasn’t expecting this product to be as good as it is. I was wary as I had to pay for a year subscription up front. But I am so happy I went with this tracker after a lot of research. My 1yo cat was going missing for hours and coming home late at night. Turns out she’s just playing in the large woods across from our house. We’ve used it to track her down within feet of her location. I can tell exactly where she is even when I’m miles away at work. It also has a light and sound you can activate so you can locate in the dark or if you can’t see her. Best bit of equipment we’ve bought. It’s a little bulky for her petite frame but she hasn’t once tried to take it off and when she sees it in the morning she comes to me as she knows it’s time to go out on her adventures. Very happy with our purchase and has brought us peace of mind which is all we wanted.

This is the best tracker on the market by far. My cat went missing for 7 days, when she was found I ordered one of these based on my neighbours recommendation. Such a relief to know where my cat is all day and night. It’s fascinating to see where she has been by clicking on the history button, or I can monitor her live. Very easy to install, just downloaded the app to my iPhone and my laptop. If you monitor your cat or dog live a lot it does drain the battery quicker. Battery lasts around 2-3 days. I ordered a spare battery so I’ve always got a spare one charged to swap over. My cat is only 3.3kg so she is very small but she doesn’t mind it at all.

I have two small cats and theses fit ok on them. at first they do look big but the cats do not have any issues with them on.

subscriptions are expensive and they do not offer a discount for more than one device that would have been nice as a customer appreciation. looking just under 200 for the GPS device and a 2yr subscription

the gps can give false readings from time to time but does sort itself out once it re updates location
Battery lasts 4 days without live tracking on and a few hours if live tracking was permanently on but this can be turned on/off on the phone app until you really need it

The accuracy is affected by buildings and when Jack is stalking in the bushes but we can still get an idea of where he is. as soon as jack gets into the open the tracker connects and is accurate to within a few feet. We find this gives us peace of mind because we always have a good idea of where Jack is and also when he is on his way back so we can let him in straight away rather than have him waiting outside

    Fun and very useful
So, my cat, Ollie, has become a bit of a roamer during the last couple of months, started near the beginning of lockdown, actually. His first absence was for 14 days and I only found him because of a FB posting, his second was for 10 days and, now, he goes to the same sort of area (about 300 yards away) until I go down to collect him in the evening even though he does know the way back home! The problem before I had the tracker was that I would not know exactly where in the other road he was and, sometimes, it would seem, he wasn’t there at all. Now, I can set the tracker to live when I want to find him, go onto Google Maps and I am directed straight to the little scally! Day one wasn’t so good as he lost his collar (and tracker) but, luckily, because of the directions and being able to turn the sound on, a kind neighbour was able to find it under a lot of undergrowth before the battery ran out!

Pease of mind at our new house
I was looking for a gps or Bluetooth tracker for our old cat as we moved to another house as we were so worried we’d lose her if we let her out. After some research we decided on the cat Tractive, initially I thought it was a little large for the cat but she’s adapted very easily and it sits nicely under her chin. She doesn’t seem to mind it at all considering she’s not worn a collar for 9 years. I like the features, live tracking, history, activity, the sound device is however so quiet it’s difficult to hear unless I am close enough to touch her, or is that just my hearing! The battery life is a bit short but I can live with that by using a spare battery. At times the accuracy of the location is a bit mad, I doubt she travels that far so quickly and back again. I still think it’s a great device and worth the money

Bought this product a couple of weeks ago and so far its working really well. The accuracy sometimes take a while to catch up and you have to wait a few minutes but otherwise the app is very clear, history shows you where they have been overnight and hot spot locations so you know where to check if they don’t come home. Battery life much better than competitor product PETPOD. Would recommend.

Easy way to keep track of my ca
I really only bought this for a bit of fun, as I’ve always wondered how far our cat really goes when he’s out and about – he’s a real outdoors cat!

On receiving the tracker, it was super easy to setup, only had to download the app on my phone, register and key in the unique tracker reference, and that was it, good to go. Only took 5 minutes.

When I first put it on I wasn’t sure if my cat would accept it, but he’s not bothered at all. It helps that he’s a very large build of long haired cat, so I think he can barely feel the tracker in amongst all his hair.

From the times when I have been able to cross check it,the tracker accuracy has been excellent. Live tracking mode does very quickly sap battery, but then most of the time you don’t need this to be on. I have had the odd erroneous point showing on the map, even my adventurous cat couldn’t get a couple of miles away and back again, in a few minutes! But that aside, it’s been excellent.

Very pleased with our purchase, and I’d happily recommend to anyone. I think it’s a really reasonable price for such an accurate piece of kit. And although we only bought it mainly for a bit of fun, it’s reassuring to know that if he ever goes AWOL, we’ll be able to quickly find him.

Unfortunately I have lost the device within only 5 days and currently cannot accurately locate it. It has a sound device on it but I don’t what that sounds like so not sure how loud it is, it also has a light for searching at night but battery might have run out by then

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAmazing device, but alittle on the large side for average kitties.
We bought this for our British Shorthair male after he went missing.

The tracker is easy to use and has an amazing app to complement it.

Marley barely notices the tracker, it is lightweight and curves well around his collar. However, we have found that it is quite a chunky device and often gets in the way of eating and drinking. Resulting in us taking this oppertunity charge it. Which is handy as it requires charging often.
Additionally, we have found that there is no way to check battery charge percentage during charging. Unless you take the device off charge and resync it on the app.

The accuracy is fantastic, it is unfortunate that I live in an area with poor signal and so both the device and my phone often have no network.

However, when the signal peaks. It is amazing to watch Marleys journeys on the live feature.

Over all it is an amazing device. We actually plan on purchasing 2 more for our other cats that go missing for a couple of days at a time.

Accuracy can be slightly off and Leo (my cat) can be sitting next to me but Tractive will say he’s left my fence. But most of the time it’s brilliant.

Battery life isn’t good. I have to charge it everyday.

It’s easy to use once it’s set up. I cannot set up a monthly subscription. It just wouldn’t give me the option.

Having said all that, I would still highly recommend this tracker. I know where my boy is most of the time. Price is very good. Tracker doesn’t weigh much and Leo is fine with wearing it.

I bought it as I was concerned that a neighbour (who I had previously explicitly asked to stop) was still feeding and locking my cat in her first floor flat for hours at a time. On day one of him wearing the tracker, it lost GPS signal outside her building and did not reconnect until I stood outside calling him and watched her let him out. So it has successfully done the job I bought it for.

It gives me so much peace of mind now, being able to check where he is and watch his little dot moving around on the map. It’s true that the exact position shown on the map is often out by a few meters and you might think that this, along with the loss of signal when he is in a building, are bad performance indicators but you will find similar margins of error with a lot of GPS running watches etc.

When you factor in the price of the device and the subscription cost, it’s not cheap, but is far from the most expensive options out there and seems to do the job.

Peace of mind and a good little tracke
I love to see where my cats are almost all the time. And if one gets stuck up a tree at least I know where to find him and get some people to help rescue. Summer months coming and they stay outside much more, but with these trackers at least I can see where they are. The help desk is very helpful and quick to respond to messages. The tractive care is also very good and I have had one tracker that was lost replaced.

    Bad points:
1>You can only transfer subscriptions so many times (although I have managed to get the help desk to sort me out on that one.). I have two cats, a great number of trackers and 5 subscriptions. The reason is because I can’t wait 2 hours for the batteries to recharge and lock my cats in. They go a bit crazy. I did only have 4 subscriptions, but my cats collar came off and so I lost one of the trackers, tried to change the subscription to a new one only to have a message box saying I’d used all my transfers up, so I just subscribed again. (I can’t think of how much this is costing me – I’m a crazy cat lady and they are my babies) !
2> The battery life is not 5 days. I’d say around 48hours or so. And if it goes below 30% it can suddenly go down very quickly so I prefer to change them over every 2 days, just in case. There is little point having 20% left if you then need to search for them and use even more battery power up trying to find them only for it to be out of battery completely

So far so good! We love watching where our ole' boy spends his time.
We have had this tracker for more than one week. Our cat, Chester, is a larger cat being a little over 6 kgs and does not have any problems with the tracker. He can clean himself with it on and it does not stop him from bringing presents home to us.

We decided to get him one because (1) he has lost over 8 collars in the past 5 months and we hoped to track the collars down and (2) we were just curious where he went since we live near a common, somewhat busy road, and fields. We find that it is mostly accurate and the battery lasts every for about two days – less if you use the live tracker function more.

We do take it off of Chester at night because he sleeps through the night at home and when he takes his mid-day nap. Other than that, he has learned to sit down and accept the collar before going outside. We do have the tracker on a separate collar from his tags/bell collar because it is easier to take on and off.

We hope that the tracker continues to perform the way it is currently.

puts my mind at ease, phew!
Before we got this tracker, our amazing cat Popcorn went missing for 5 days and we were beside ourselves. once we got him back, I got this tracker before I let him out again. it’s so easy to use and I can track him the whole time he’s out. without it, I don’t think I would have let him out again. I just put it on charge every evening as we keep him in at night. it’s worth every penny to keep him safe

    Peace of mind
We lost our cat for four months but he turned back up and after a couple of weeks wanted to go back out again.

We couldn’t bear the idea or losing him again but didn’t want to keep him trapped inside.

I was sceptical about the Tractive tracker and when we got it it seemed a bit big.

However, our cat doesn’t have a problem wearing it and when I was alerted to him going outside the virtual fence I set up, it led me straight to the garden he was (happily) sat in.

Real peace of mind and works very well.

    Brilliant Device
This has taken all the worry out of wondering about the whereabouts of my recently acquired rescue cat as he adjusts to his new outdoor territory.
It’s also surprising how far he goes and the Vitual Fence notifies me when he’s going too near the main road.
Sometimes on Live Tracking it takes a few minutes for the GPS to find the device- but when it does it is completely accurate.
Yes it’s not the smallest device but the cat seems to be quite comfortable with it.
We got a second battery so there’s always one ready to swap over.
Wish we’d had one years ago when ‘Freddy’ disappeared.

    Easy to use tracke
Having previously purchased a competitive product, which only worked sometimes, I was pointed towards the Tractive tracker by my sister, as a good alternative.

Having read reviews about battery life I ordered the tracker with a spare battery.

The device was delivered on time and was easy to install, following the instructions provided. We selected the required subscription option and the tracker was ready.

The tracker has been live for about two weeks and so far we have been delighted with both the “live” tracking and “history” maps to track our cat. The batteries have lasted 3 days (and available power can easily be checked within the app).

So far a very impressive device.

Really good to be able to locate my pet at any time
This is an excellent product. My kitten purrs when I get his collar out to attach as he knows he is going to be allowed out. I live in a rural area where the signal can be weak at times but I can generally pick up his movements to know he is safe. I have also been able to see from the history the times when he has crossed the road at the front of the house! Really glad that I got this for peace of mind.

    Can't be without i
This is a great little product which I cannot be without now. The battery can last 2 to 3 days if you do not use live tracking. Occasionally the device will tell you your pet has darted a few streets away, however, I know my cat cannot move that fast and never in a straight line so common sense tells me to ignore these erroneous readings and within a few seconds it is back to a correct reading. The fence works well and alerts instantly if my cat has wandered further than I am comfortable with. It was accurate enough for me to find my cat when he disappeared one night and I managed to retrieve him from garden in the neighbourhood.

The only problem was that the battery died after a couple of months and I could not recharge it. I rushed to replace the battery with a new one from Amazon as I had no idea how long it would take Tractive to reply to my customer service request. It is frustrating not being able to call the service centre, and also not knowing how long it will take for them to respond to my email. However, credit where it’s due, once Tractive replied (within 48 hours) their replies were frequent, helpful and sensitive to my concerns for my cat.

I would certainly recommend this product it is worth the money and the annual subscription cost.

Does it’s job and gives peace of mind!
This is a very large tracker but the cat doesn’t seem to mind. Tracker shows the cat has been places I know it can’t have been so accuracy is questionable. Also note it’s god which is not picked up when indoors. Still happy with this though and recently noticed the cat wasn’t wearing the collar and easily found the tracker using the sound option to trace it!

Not always accurate gps/ short life battery
It is very easy to use and it’s a nice product. The battery is a problem cause as soon as you turn it on and you need to find your cat in your neighborhood, you risk to run out of battery every time. So you need to charge it daily before letting your cat out. You also need a subscription for the GPS. Sometimes the GPS says your cat is out of the fence even when he’s home which means that that it loses the coordinates or the exact position.

    All good so fa
A month after purchasing and I’m very happy with this cat tracker. Easy to use, tracker appears to be pretty accurate, live tracking works well and you can also see where your cat has been over the past 24 hours. I also like how it tells you if the GPS signal is poor and the location shown is likely to be inaccurate. The tracker is easy to clip on and off my cat’s collar and is light enough that he doesn’t seem to notice it. Battery life is good. After having no end of troubles with a previous cat tracker I can recommend this one based on its performance to date.

    Lightweight and does the job!!
Great to see where my cat goes. Lost tracker once as cat collar unclipped, luckily found it but had to look hard due to brambles and undergrowth. Subscription costs are quite costly and no monthly plan have to pay in one lump sum.
I don’t let my cat out at night so charge the tracker every night.

Would highly recommend this it’s very accurate for giving your cat’s location. It also has a power saving mode whereby it still records but the light doesn’t flash has other power saving functions as well. It sits under my cats chin but it does not bother her in the least.
UPDATE I have been testing this device for the last 2 weeks with the help of my house mate who is a Lecturer at my university. He has great pleasure disproving technology. I’m pleased to say he’s given it the thumbs up for accuracy.

    Great tracke
As this fits onto my cats existing collar it is much easier to put on than previous model and so far it hasn’t been lost. It tells me where he is and where he’s been. The gps spikes sometimes but not when it’s on live tracking. The only downside to it is there is no choice of colour which may not be important but it is white & very easily seen on my little black cat.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersNo more anxiety.
Since our boy realised there was a whole new world beyond the back fence, we wanted something so we could be sure he was safe. This has solved that particular anxiety. We put it on before he goes in the garden and if he jumps the fence we can track him. The tracking is very inaccurate at start but seems to eventually improve. It certainly should be accurate enough to get close enough to hear the alarm noise or see the light (which we did when he got stuck up a tree). I do wish the alarm could be louder as I fear you wouldn’t be able to hear it near a busy road. However overall it gives us peace of mind.

This is a great product. It sits neatly under my cats chin and he doesn’t seem to notice it. Certainly hasn’t tried to pull it off. It has given me peace of mind that I can find him if he disappeared. He did get spooked at Firework night and vanished. I was frantic! Found him in next doors garden 36 hours later. Now if he’s out I can easily find him.
The App shows all activity, sleep and battery levels… very helpful.
A great purchase and well worth the money.

We have nuisance neighbours and this is perfect to find out where our cat is. If they take him in their house we can turn on the light and sound alert which has resulted in them putting him out again. Worth every penny!
