I was impressed with the suction power. Love the fact you can detach the main body to do in the stairs etc, so easy manoeuvrability

Having got through a lot of vacuum cleaners in my time. As soon as I turned it on I knew this was the best one, it’s light the suction is wonderful, it’s feels like you’re taking a dog for a walk. It’s easy to empty. Good value for money. Throughly recommend.

If the machine won’t work on your carpets you will need the suction reducer bleed valve(6.99 from direct vacumns) Once fitted this machine worked perfectly in my carpets very powerful, but vax didn’t recommend this on their trouble shooting site .I had to find out about it on UTUBE!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned !It is very easy to use, glides over AND picks up all the bits of fluff trodden into carpet. head turns from side to side for easier handling. Having arthritis and sciatica was an issue with previous cleaners, but this one is the Rolls Royce as far as I’m concerned. Brilliant! Thank you ! I don’t have stairs, but sure it would be equally efficient .

We had a vax and I loved it but it was passed its best, battered and bruised but certainly didn’t owe me any money. Everyone raves about Sharks now and I could have actually got a Shark in the sale for slightly cheaper than this Vax….I swithered for days then thought my last vax was excellent, better the devil you know and all that……so opted for the Vax again and I am so so glad I did. Yes its fairly heavy but then you just take the middle off if you need to for stairs etc….Great for getting into hard to reach places. Large bin, fabulous suction…..delighted.

Wow, excellent power and suction you really feel the dust is being sucked up. On hard wood flooring without the adaptor it does a good job, on carpet with the roller on it sucks up an amazing amount of dust and anything lying on the surface and pulls along. The ability to take of the body and use with the tool for the stairs is excellent, although you may need to hold it while using your free hand for the tool. Glad I bought it.

I have a cordless vax which i found quite disapointing so i was intrigued to try this.
I prefer this much more than the cordless one, the stuction is so much better.
Its easy to steer and has a handly ligth on the front, It works well on our carpets which are medium thickness id say.
Picks up very well, much better than our cordless.
It has a lot of attachments including a turbo mini tool and the flexi hose which work well.
Its easy to remove and make into a corded handheld although a little awkward to hold.
Easy to empty, again better than our cordless.
Overall i really like this and even though it is corded i prefer this to the cordless. I use the cordless for quick jobs but for a proper hoover up i pick this one.

I had a Dyson, which died. It was very heavy so I bought one of the tiny, rechargeable, lightweight jobbies that are so popular now. That was very loud to use and needed 2 power charges and 4 bin-empties to do the whole house – there’s only two of us here so it’s never really dirty.

I saw this Vax model and in a moment of frustration ordered it. It was truly horrific! One quick wizz around our main living area filled the bin with dirt and dust – I couldn’t believe how much was lurking there. Horrible.

If you’re going to get excited about a vacuum then this is the machine for it. It is unbelievably good – fairy quiet, fairly lightweight, lovely long cable, and works well. The way it powers itself forward took a little getting used to, and I don’t bother with hard floors (a broom is always easier) but carpet – including stairs – is brilliant.

The suction is very strong and the fact that it’s lightweight makes it great for everyday use. The company is known for its quality products and this vacuum is a proof that it’s great. I won’t say it’s the best available as it is not great for pet hairs. But for everyday cleaning it works fine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFinding this Vax Airlift pretty good so far and the lift out section is good for going up the stairs and landing area, it has a good length of cable which allows for the whole downstairs area to be cleaned, without plugging in again, the suction is good. I would have given a 5 star award, as the only downfall is the pet hair removal attachment, which clogs up with longer(human) hair, so you have to unpick it. Overall pleased.

I’ve had the chance to try out a few different vacuum’s and for the price this vacuum offers a great amount of suction. You can feel it as you move it around. I have a really deep pile carpet and even with the brush bar, it requires a bit of effort to move around because of the suction so bare that in mind. If you have a low or medium pile it won’t require as much effort. It works okay on hard floors with the adapter but it doesn’t work as well as other vacuum’s I’ve tried. The lift out feature does come in really handy, especially for stairs and for when I’m doing the top of the cupboards. Overall, it’s a good vacuum for the price, just be prepared to put your back into it if you have a
    Deep pile carpet.

Great suction, requires a bit of effort to move on my deep pile carpet.

I have never owned a Vax before so really didn’t know what to expect, and as my previous vacuum was a Shark i had extremely high expectations however this Vax Air Lift Drive Plus Upright Vacuum Cleaner surprised me.

    * Appearance/Design *
It is a very smart and stylish vacuum that is extremely easy on the eye. Like a Shark hoover, it has a light at the front which i love, especially when hoovering dark areas, and how the days are getting darker quicker currently. The controls are very straight forward and easy to understand, however it would definitely be wise to read the manual to familiarise yourself with what each button does. I say this as it has your standard ‘on/off’ button, button to unclip the handle and filter, however it has a button to stop/start the spinning of the base which i found a little random/confusing. I disliked the design of the handheld hose which is split into two connections awkwardly. I just found that it made changing the handheld conversion confusing as i had to keep remembering which part to disconnect to use the handheld tool. The power cable is very long so you should be able to hoover most spaces with no issues!

    ** Performance / Suction **
I found that this hoover performed extremely good, much better than i initially expected where the suction was very powerful. The hoover suction is strong to the point it does drag you forward when you are hoovering back and forth. It picked up alot of dust and more when in use, where i was shocked at how quickly the cannister filled up. It made me realise how much dust there actually was within the carpet, giving the carpet an impressive deep clean. Steering the vacuum was extremely smooth as it is VERY lightweight and steerable. The liftout function is very light to carry so made hoovering the stairs easy and convenient. I wasn’t too keen on using on hardloor as felt it was longwinded to adjust, however hoovering on carpet is excellent!

    *** Accessories ***
It comes with a 3 in 1 tool and flexi crevice tool which helped when trying to reach hard places. You also get a turbo tool attachment which is more specifically for pet hair and dirt which will be perfect as i have a toddler and im always conscious of the floor hygiene. The slimline hose is very long so perfect if trying to hoover ceilings and walls.

Overall it is a very impressive vacuum and i would definitely recommend for a family home just as it’s lightweight, powerful and features sooo many accessories. It is good value for money compared to other similar models on the market. The only reason why i’m giving it 4 stars rather than 5 was down to the design of the clips and the two separate interchanges when changing the hoover to a handheld device. Other than that its an impressive hoovers that will leave your carpet very clean.

    Powerful and lightweight!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe suction is great and the way it pulls you along is strange but acceptable. Easy to use but tedious when used on a hard floor. You have to attach a hard floor adapter to the brush roller. It’s then quite hard to push along as you don’t have the brush roller to assist. It’s better suited to short pile carpets. The pull out feature is good for doing the stairs for example but as others have mentioned, the hose could do with being a little longer. It’s much quieter than other vacuum cleaners I’ve had which is good. The headlight feature is useful. The power cable is plenty long enough, longer than most. All in all a nice cleaner for the price.

I was really very impressed with this vacuum. It looks like a standard vacuum but has some good features. It has a bright led light built in to help show the dust and where you’ve got to vacuum and it has a light lift out part which is really handy for doing the stairs and the car.
The suction is very good and it works well on both hard floors and carpet, although I do prefer using it on carpet. It is very simple and self explanatory to use. It has the best suction I have found in a lightweight vacuum.
I think it is very reasonable too when you compare it to dysons and sharks.

Disclaimer – my review may be biased, as I no longer have any carpeted floors in the house, apart from on the stairs but all sorts of wood, LVT, tiles and laminate, so my use of a bulky hoover is limited to the surfaces listed. Furthermore, I am so used to handheld ones too that, although in comparison to ordinary hoover and my all times favourite Dys…n, this is still pretty lightweight and small, in my eyes it still looks massive! But this is my personal and a highly biased opinion, so take it with caution.
Despite everything listed above, I believe it is a good hoover – after almost a month of daily use downstairs , it still has the same suction and collects dust with the same force as on the first day! Cat hair in particular, as a lt of hoovers do not suck it up, but blow it off hard surfaces all over the place – this one picks it up! The brush mode works very well, but as I said earlier, I only use this on hard floors and deactivate it when cleaning my long shag pile mats. You do not need to empty it that often either and it does not affect its suction capacity. If it was not for its size ( I only have a tiny house), I would keep it as my main hoover, as it is good! Pricewise – cannot complain either! Bottom line – if you do not mind the fact it is not a miniscule battery-operated stick vacuum, this is as good as it gets for twice the price, to be fair!

Fairly lightweight however not the lightest vacuum on the market. Nice long hose and its a good feature than the cylinder comes off to make it more portable for stairs etc.
Hoover itself has brilliant suction and the led light on the front really shows where the dust lays, especially on laminate floors.
The attachment is easy to put on and off. Can be a bit fiddly to turn around the head of this though to select which tool to use.
I used this after i had already hoovered with my usual vacuum and i was shocked at just how much dirt it picked up. I would recommend it on this alone.
Carpets felt clean and more fluffed.
Easy to empty, very simply press the button and the bottom hatch opens to empty.
    Very pleased with this!
Only fault was sometimes it would register as blocked when using too high a suction on shorter pile carpets.

Good suction and led light is a bonus

This hoover is a bargain for anyone who want to keep a tab on spending and yet get a powerful, fully functional hoover with great features at a very reasonable price.

I owned a dyson and can say with confidence that this vacuum cleaner in amazingly powerful for its price bracket. Solidly constructed with very powerful suction and a superb lightweight that makes it all the easier and convenient to use for that spring-cleaning chore.

Comes with useful attachments for different floors and de-wigged my carpet from long hairs without any trouble. Very easy and smooth to manoeuvre and the LED headlight is a welcomed addition. It really does help me see dirt missed when cleaning.

Currently, on an Amazon prime deal for 122 which is a shockingly low price for such capability. I would recommend without second thoughts. Makes other more expensive brands run for their money!

This vacuum is such an amazing invention, I can’t believe i’ve managed this long by carrying my current, heavy, upright vacuum halfway up the stairs to reach up to the top as the hose was too short! This is not only inconvenient and awkward but also pretty dangerous so i’m so excited to have this vacuum which cleverly detaches the part you need, the barrel and hose to clean the stairs with ease!

This is super easy to assemble, I was up and running in 5 minutes and i’m so pleased with how lightweight it is, for an upright, this is the lightest i’ve had and it glides across my carpets and hard floor effortlessly and has made them look good as new, I love getting a new vacuum and seeing how much dirt they pick up and despite vacuuming daily with my old one, the barrel was full! Very impressive and fluffs up carpets beautifully.

Absolutely fantastic quality and a lifesaver for the stairs, I generally prefer an upright to a cordless as they always seem to run out when I need them the most so this is perfect for heavy duty cleaning around the house with no worries of the battery running out! Recommended, amazing design and the Vax quality that I trust.

This upright hoover works very well it cleans my carpet well and picks up the smallest of bits, it has a light at the bottom so you’re able to see in those dark areas of the room like under the sofa.

Antimicrobial treatment protects your brushbar from germs and bacteria, the powerful brush bar pulls you along the floor but I would say one thing it feels heavy at times, I’m not sure if this is due to the no-loss suction or if it is genuinely heavy.

I do like you can lift the middle of the hoover out to be able to hoover the stairs it makes it a doddle to use.
The Vax hoover is reasonably priced for all it offers.

Overall, Upright vacuum with lots to offer.
    I would recommend this product.

I found the vacuum cleaner to be heavy but for deep cleaning the power is well worth the weight. It has a very long flex and zooms over carpets.

In upright mode it vacuums hard floors and compact pile carpet easily. The vac does not go from hard floor to soft seamlessly and that is a bit of a downfall in the design.

I would prefer to carry’s all the tools with the main machine. It would be better if there was somewhere on the Hoover for the attachments to be situated as I don’t like them in a cupboard to get damaged or lost.

Lift the way style vacuum gives you the convenience of a lightweight handheld with the performance of a normal cylinder cleaner. At the price it is currently advertised for it is a good balance between value for money and performance as I would say it is similar to the Dyson it is replacing which is around eight years old. Added bonus of the lift away means cleaning the stairs is a lot easier and safer as you can bring the main cylinder unit with you not stretching the hosepipe from the main unit. The dirt collection area is easy to clean and doesn’t look too complex to unblock if required. Good brush bar also does a decent job and again has easy access to clean as required.

I have a Vax Powerflex vacuum cleaner which I’ve used for over 7 years so it deserved to retire after my new Vax Air Lift Drive Plus arrived. If I would have to say only two words about this vacuum cleaner it would be: powerful and effective.
Arrived in a big box, with 3in1 tool, turbo tool and flexi crevice tool. It was easy to put together – it took less than 5 minutes. An instructions booklet was also provided for help but it was so intuitive to put together I didn’t even need to read trough.
First thing I noticed even before turning it on that is very-very lightweight compare to size. In only about 6kg in total.
The power/suction it truly notable. We are always vacuum clean the house twice a week, but the amount of dust/dirt that this pulled up was a bit shocking. I also used the brush attachment on the stairs carpet, and it did a great job.
One of my favourite features is the LED lights on the floor base, helping me to see what I’m vacuuming under the bed. The dust container is about the same size like my old vacuum’s container, which I only need to empty once every 2 weeks. I would also recommend to regularly wash the filter or to change it every year at least, If the filter is blocked the vacuum will lose from his suction power. It has a 9m power cord (wow). Unfortunately, the cord is not retractable; I would imagine this saves space internally, so it makes sense, but you do need to manually wrap the cord up after use. Working well on my hard floors and it cleans great on carpets too! Beautiful vacuum, all around. Thank you, Wax!

First of all, this vacuum arrived in a box which showed what was inside. In case you were buying it as a present for someone, or you don’t want anyone knowing what is inside, this is just a precaution. I don’t mind this at all but I’m just warning you just in case.

A great thing about this vacuum cleaner is that it is great value for money. At the time of ordering it is 129.99, which is great and it is much better than some vacuums that cost 200+.

When I first turned it on and used it, it was amazing. The suction was great and it had a lot of power and it easily picked up a lot of dirt off my carpets.

It has been made to make it easy for you to vacuum from anything too hard floors to stairs with carpets. You can even use it on ceilings or high areas in your home.

For me, all the buttons are clear. You can easily see which one turns it on, and which one is to remove a part of the vacuum. This vacuum is very good for picking up hair and any dirt as well. This vacuum is very easy to install, you just have to place some of the parts together, no screws or anything, you just connect. Compared to other vacuums, it is a bit longer. However, it is still not that heavy at all, a normal weight.

It comes with several different heads which you can put onto it and remove very easily. The hose is also very flexible and moves around easily. Overall, this vacuum is very easy to use. It is also very easy to empty after you have finished using it.

I hope this review helps other people looking for this item or other similar products on Amazon.

I enjoy my new vacuum cleaner. It works great and it is lightweight. I was a bit worried about all the different attachments and how to assemble it. But the directions included are very clear and within a few minutes we were able to vacuum up all the pine needles.

The dust bin is large, and the electric cord is very long, the longest I’ve ever seen in a vacuum. Which allows for one to clean many rooms before having to empty the dust bin, or unplug and plug the vacuum again. Making one’s job easier and faster.

Having 2 dogs means we have plenty of pet hair to deal with. Our floors are a mixture of laminate, tile, carpet, and large area rugs. This vacuum performed perfectly on all surfaces.

After vacuuming with the vax Air Lift Drive plus Upright, two days ago the amount of dust and shed dog hair this one picked up was very surprising.
I would recommend this to anyone with pets or just anyone in general. This is a quality vacuum.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWith a total weight of 6.2 kgs
    Bagless cyclone cylindrical technology
HEPA filter just like the Dyson – known to collect airborne and ground based allergens.such as dust mites, dander, as well as other irritating particulates.
Includes motorised brush head, pet tool, upholstery tool, small dusting brush, crevice tool, quality flexible hose which stretches just over 2 metres, 1.5 litre capacity dust collection bin, 9 metre electric cable, headlight.
Fully multi-angle streerable, automatic forward push motion in upright mode.

Very good at collecting dust in the upright mode.

There are a few things you should consider before you decide whether this is for you.
Most noticeable is that without the motorised brush head turned to rotion ‘ON’, this unit can be quite heavy to vacuum over thick pile carpets.
If you have mostly hard floors then this isn’t an issue as it performs just as readily both, with and without the motorised function. We have a mix of oak, stone, tiles and carpets in our home.

The unique feature about this unit is that the dust collection bin can be lifted off the main upright unit and used independently, the motor is held directly below the bin quite uniquely which deconstructs into a handheld long cylinder shaped unit with the small carryhandly from the upright being the main carry handle in the handheld unit.

This unique feature takes away some of the excess weight when you want to use a fully mains electric powered vacuum to clean the stairs and the car.
It definitely offers more power than the battery powered equivalent.

    The Negative:

The negative I’ve found is that the handheld conversion is a difficult to grasp, as the bin and motor are one long unsturdy cylinder which need to be held with one hand, whilst you operate the hose – with the attached tool, with the other.
So compared to our Dyson handheld cordless, this Vax is tedious and uncomfortable to carry, with the little carry handle to only the upper surface of the long cylindrical bin. Making this unit not suited across the board in handheld mode. Particularly not for someone with joint pain.

All the tools can be attached to the lifted out handheld unit, with the aid of the steel hose. Making it a rather good cross between an upright vacuum and a cordless handheld. A brilliant first vacuum for a studio flat or for your young adult moving to his/her first student accommodation.

For the price, this dual, upright and handheld Vax is great value, being fully mains powered gives the extra edge over power; and at this price, get the best of both: upright and handheld corded vacuum.

As an upright it is a rather brilliant little lightweight vacuum. If you see the handheld option as a bonus, along with all the good quality tools, then, as a package it’s very good value.

    4 stars.

This vacuum cleaner is really awesome. And it helps to clean my house without any problems. It comes with 4 attachments which will cover all the needs for a home : 3 in1 tool, turbo tool, Flexi cervic tool and hard floor adaptor. Assemble are really easy as well, and are explained really well in a provided manual. It requires just a few steps, and it will be ready to use. The cord of a vacuum cleaner is 9 meters, and it is not retractable. You need to use a cord hook. The length is more than enough at least for me, plus the hose of this vacuum is really long and it helps with a reaching a books shelves or cupboard tops. The suction power is really strong and it has no problems on removing dust and dirt. As well it has led lights which are very useful in the darker corners of a rooms.
It can be used as a simple vacuum cleaner for floors, or as an upright for everything above floors. So I use a lift out for a hard to reach areas or if I need to clean stairs or sealing corners. The main attachment for this is a Turbotool which removes all the dirt without problems. Plus as we have two dogs ( Chow-Chow and Pomeranian) which has a lot of hairs it helps to deal with what too, especially on sofas. Plus the Flexi crevice tool helps to reach underneath tables and beds so need to pushing them and moving from out of place, which I really like.
If you want to use this vacuum on a hard floor the adaptor is provided for what, which you need attache yourself. I think whats only disadvantage of this vacuum if comparing to other brands. Ofc it’s not hard and takes just a few second but still, for this price, I would expect it would be already there. I really like this vacuum cleaner, as well as my girlfriend as it is a really good quality product, is light and has a really good suction power. And attachments provided helps to clean the whole house from floor to sealing.

All I can say is wow this hoover is fantastic, we hoover everyday and this got so much dirt off of our daughter’s bedroom rug that we could not even see, in the pictures is just from a quick go over the rug.

We have a shark hoover that cost double the amount of this one and the suction is just as good I am very impressed with it, it is so easy to detach the lift away making it easy to hoover stairs etc and it is very lightweight to move/carry around and it also comes with different attachments making tasks easier.

This comes with a hard floor attachment that goes onto the bottom of the hoover, this did make it slightly harder to hoover and steer so we will not be using this part and it works just as good without it making it easy to swap from hard floor to carpets.

You can choose if you want to have the bottom spinning on not and when on spinning the lights turn on making it easier to see any dirt you might have missed.

Overall I would highly recommend this hoover it is absolutely brilliant at an amazing price.

    Excellent hoover, strong suction.

When Vax were designing this vacuum cleaner it’s clear that they put “lightweight” at the top of their priority list. With light, fairly thin plastic materials, and avoiding the addition of a heavy battery, they’ve put together the lightest vacuum cleaner I’ve ever met. That’s not to say that it’s light as a feather, it’s not, but if you are looking for a vacuum cleaner that’s as light as possible- perhaps because you have physical restrictions or limitations that make some vacuum cleaners difficult to use- then this vac jumps high up the list of possibilities as a result.

If talking about convenience and portability though, of course it has to be compared to cordless vacuum cleaners as well. This vac has a cord- although only one of the product photos will admit it, and the images on the product box go to some length to avoid showing it, as though Vax are embarrassed that it’s still got a cord. Cordless vacuum cleaners are weighed down by a battery, but nevertheless, unless you’ve got real issues with the weight, then the quickest way to vacuum a flight of stairs or a garden shed continues to be a cordless vacuum- assuming its battery is fully charged.

Cordless vacuums are hit-and-miss sometimes with suction power, but since this one’s corded, it’s unsurprising that the suction power is consistent and strong. That being said, it isn’t the punchiest vacuum cleaner I’ve ever used either. In parallel with its lightweight build, it does feel like it’s got a lightweight power at times too. It’s good enough for a regular removal of everyday dust or a few leftovers from the kids’ muddy boots, but any more intense cleaning of ground-in dirt on thick pile carpets and this vacuum takes quite a few goes to get the lifting desired.

Another side-effect of the lightweight construction is a sense of lack of durability, unfortunately. I’ve been a fan of Vax products before, but the last one I had- a handheld Dustbuster-style mini vac- ground to a permanent halt a while ago and had to be thrown away. With the value price and the lightweight build comes the sense that this vacuum probably won’t last as many years as a more expensive one might.

In other respects, there’s a lot of average points about it. The storage capacity feels fairly generous, so you won’t have to empty it too often. The grip is comfy, the hose is not too stiff and flexs nicely and the fairly small vacuum head is quite manoeuvrable into smaller corners- none of which is top-of-the-class stuff, but it’s all very decently handled for a vacuum in this kind of price bracket.

It scores highly on weight, and pretty well on convenience and flexibility, and in other respects it’s a respectable, middle-of-the-class offering from Vax.

Great for doing the big vacuum jobs rather than the little ones

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe Vax Air Lift Drive Plus Upright Vacuum Cleaner is a stylish looking cleaner and has been manufactured to a very good quality. The cylinder lifting feature allows this to be used throughout the home from hard floors to carpets and stairs as well as the ceiling areas.

    What I liked & disliked:

    Powerful suction
    Variety of external tools
    Very good pet hair brush
Lift off cylinder (which is lightweight)
    Flexible hose
    Easy to empty
Easy to set up & use
    Stylish
    Current price

On/Off button easily confused with brush on/off
Height of cylinder a bit cumbersome on stairs
    No variable suction control
    Hard floor adapter annoying

Verdict: The RRP is 179.99 but its on offer at 129.99 (08/10/20), my advice is BUY IT NOW at this price, you’re getting a decent quality vacuum which is both powerful and flexible around the house.

    In Detail:
Out the box this Vax vacuum is easily assembled (with no screws) in minutes. The look and feel of the vacuum says its quality. Even though its mainly plastic in construction the quality of the build is very good and it should last for a long time.

I first tried this out on my kitchen hard floor, now there is a black plastic adapter for hard floors which one is supposed to place underneath the roller brush but going forward I can see this lifting the base up to put a plastic adapter on each time I move from my carpeted hallway into the kitchen a bit of an annoyance. Switching on is via a red power button on the top of the cylinder. The noise level is low for a corded vacuum, to engage the roller brush then you need to press another red button adjacent to the power button, then by holding the base with your foot and pulling the handle back the roller brush starts up. It cleaned my kitchen floor well, no bits were left on the floor and the LED lights on the front base were useful to see in the dark corners.

I then tried the pet hair attachment on my chair. Releasing the hose was done by simply pressing a red latch and the hose came free. It is rather extendable and I attached the pet hair brush on. This brush is powered by suction which turns the roller brush, this was very effective on my chair getting the cat hairs off (I have 4 cats). I next used the wand extension, which is basically the long rod standing up from the base of the vacuum. This just comes out by pressing a latch and attaches to the hose, during this process the main cylinder was still attached to the base. The reach with this extension was just perfect for reaching the ceilings corners and around the light fittings.

My next point of call was the stairs. For this I took out the main cylinder, which is the major selling point of this machine. By pressing a lever, the cylinder comes out leaving the base of the vacuum and frame behind. The mains power lead and hose is already attached to the cylinder, so I just placed on the pet hair brush again. The cylinder sure is lightweight to hold in one hand with the hose in the other. However I found the cylinder to be rather tall and a bit cumbersome at times but it was a breeze to clean the stairs carpet and it done a fine job too!

I then put the vacuum swiftly back together again and cleaned my dining room carpet, taking off the hard floor adapter first. The vacuum hugged my carpet and it felt like the vacuum was moving me along :). Perfect job again from this Vax. I had done the kitchen, dining room and stairs in no time.

Emptying is quick, just detach the top waste section, flick a lever and the dirt comes out straight into the bin.

Overall I’m happy to recommend this Vax and at the current price of 129.99 its a bargain so grab one if your in the market for a corded vacuum!

This vacuum is a jack of all cleaning trades.
