**Please note that as I had previously purchased the EKEN V7 from the seller (on AliExpress) I was reimbursed on the purchase price of this device in exchange for a review. I have tried to be as objective as possible.**

In this review I will be comparing this the product, the T32, to the EKEN V7 which is the current product I have.

Device
The device appears well made and feels sturdy and well designed. When compared to the EKEN V7 I definitely prefer the design although I think it would be helpful if it was available in a different colour too. Since using it I have not had any issues with it and I dropped it and the thing felt solid as a rock and still worked. Very pleased with that.

Packaging
The packaging was good although some of the translations are not quite correct. A selling point of this device is that it is dual band WiFi using the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz spectrum but the packaging states it is 5G which is a reference to mobile internet. It is a shame that the packaging has some poor translations as otherwise this is a very well put together package.

App and Storage
As you will access footage via the app it is important to understand how it works. This is where the listing on Amazon needs corrected (at least as of 15/05/2022). It states that this device uses the AIWIT app but I can confirm that it does not. Personally I prefer the Tuya app that it uses as it feels much more like quality experience akin to the bigger video doorbell competitors. It just felt easier to use. I found that this device and app combination was much quicker than the EKEN V7 and AIWIT app with no instances of it dropping out like the V7 often did. One thing that is better with the V7 is that it provides 7 days of cloud storage for free whereas the T32 does not BUT the T32 does have local storage onboard from which you can download the footage via the app which the V7 does not — basically it is cloud storage or nothing whereas the T32 does offer cloud storage but it is not required due to the 32GB memory card provided.

Image Quality
I will let you decide for yourself for comparison but I think the T32 does have a noticeable improvement over the EKEN V7. This is particularly evident in the night vision footage. I would also point out the app issue above. Sometimes when answering the doorbell the EKEN V7 footage would drop out or take so long to connect that you missed the person (although it did record the footage as you could access it via the app later). However, with the T32 I did not find any issue with connections.

Price
I think the package provided is very good and the local storage (32GB included) is a big plus point but at 89.99 it is getting close to the cost of the Amazon owned Ring devices (I don’t know the quality of the actual footage with them). The biggest issue with Ring is that you must pay a monthly fee for any kind of storage which makes it a permanent ongoing cost to you. Now currently the T32 device is available at a discount with a voucher code and for that I think it is worth it 100% but at 89.99 I think it is less clear cut and really about your needs.

 

I was excited to try this one out since it boasted 5G in the description. Before you get super excited, let me clarify that it means 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wifi, as opposed to having a builtin SIM card!
Firstly this runs off the Tuya or Smartlife apps. I have smart life and it’s just great it’s can be seen along with 90% of my other smart devices all under one app.

One nice feature is that the charging port is just at the bottom of the unit (not the back). This means you can charge it up whilst it’s in position assuming you have power – or better still, I think you should be able to buy a solar panel and that should be able to keep the doorbell running without ever needing to recharge (subject to how and how much you use the doorbell).

There’s a receiver unit which plugs into the wall, and that seems to pair up and work just fine.
The doorbell itself can be chosen to activate on PIR or not, and can also filter out to only detect human motion. That seems to work ok – not perfect but reasonably enough.

Testing the range of this, I could still use this at the back of my garden – I was surprised, but happy about that.

Pros

– Battery life should run in excess of 60 days
– USB charging port is accessible without removing doorbell – allowing for inplace charging

Cons
– No ONVIF support that I could find (can’t hook up to Blue Iris)
– Once locked onto a Wifi hotspot, it doesn’t like to switch frequency or hotspot (I’ve got 4 different 2.4/5Ghz hotspots around the house)

Overall I really like this doorbell, and at 90 (though 20% voucher at the moment should bring it to around 70) – it’s a real bargain. Very impressive.

 

Live and recorded audio and video plus photos of alerts. Obviously designed as doorbell but can place it down as motion alarm inside house too.
Complete package with video doorbell/plug in chime(3pin UK), wall fixing designed to shield from weather and screws/Rawl plugs + usb lead and 32gb microSD. Tuya Smart Android app was easy to link via WiFi and seems good. With the SD card no need to subscribe to cloud storage, so no running costs other than recharging the 2x provided 18650 batteries every few months which is simplest way to operate. USB charger is on bottom and accessible when doorbell is placed in wall fixing so can probably wire up like that too.
I did experiment with the wired power option but was not as user friendly. The idea is that if you have an existing wired bell you can bridge the terminals in your powered chime so current runs to the old button which you replace with this video doorbell unit. Wires to connect are supplied but they are very short and if connect to your old wires there is no space for the connection block or twist cap to go unless you have a void under your old doorbell button. But if your old wires are long enough you might be able to wire them directly to the back of the video doorbell by winding them under a washer under the screws. The instructions state it runs on 16-24V AC/DC. I tried with 12V supply but battery charger went up very slowly. But probably ignore all this. Most people are probably just going to use the battery function and recharge every few months which is easily done by plugging in the microUSB lead (same as many older mobile phones).
In summary seems to detect well and decent picture including IR night vision function. Nice feel of button and default doorbell sound is nice and not annoying. Recommended

 

Before I purchased this I was sceptical about how difficult to install it would be, whether it would work and would it connect to the Wi-Fi. I can say I have been delighted in all aspects. Fitting was really simple. Drill two holes and screw it in place. Connecting to the Wi-Fi was easy and it works brilliantly. I even recently answered my door whilst on holiday in Cyprus! The picture and sound quality are really good. Well worth the money.

Overall, I would say it’s a good doorbell camera, good clear images day and night and really easy to install and set up. It is also fantastic that it comes with a extra set of batteries and a doorbell sounder for inside the house. Also comes with 3 days of storage with no membership fees for the basic service, which is a big plus for me.

The only real negatives I would say is the sensor range for me isn’t the best and feel it’s a bit slow turning on and notifications from the app to my phone can also be a bit slow for my liking. If these features could be improved I honestly say this camera could compete with bigger brands no problem.

 

This was a replacement from my last doorbell that just stopped working.
It seems a lot more updated can change the settings of the alerts motion, and quicker in some aspects however still will not allow me to access the live video sometimes.
Comes with batteries and another two spare but doesn’t come with a charger.
Good quality door bell and worth the money.

 

As is usual for me, I took a lot of time researching video doorbells including comparing unknown brands with RING who appear to be the market leaders.Having made my choice and ordered, the package arrived the next morning – a substantial box with a customised interior – a pleasant surprise. On unpacking, I discovered that there were 2 additional 18650 batteries – a nice touch meaning that there was no need to go offline while the batteries were being recharged ( the unit only needs 2 batteries ). Starting the installation I fixed the doorbell to the frame of the front door only to discover that there was a brilliant view of our bordering hedge but very little view of whoever may be at the front door ! I assume that this is a common trait – most doorbells seem to have been fitted with a 166 degree wide angle lens. This really is a 2 person procedure having someone moving the position of the doorbell while the other person studies the viewing screen to achieve the best view of your front door. This was quickly achieved. Downloading the app was very straightforward and the doorbell was soon paired with the viewing screen and the indoor chime – with 30 odd different tunes – is that really necessary ? The doorbell works relatively quickly courtesy of the inbuilt motion detector built into the doorbell- very slight delay but I think that this will depend upon your wi fi strength. And the picture quality is fantastic – claimed to be HD and certainly appears to be. The notifications can be relayed to 8 different devices although only 1 has the facility to talk to whoever is at the front door and to hear their reply. Viewing works well on my iPhone, my iPad and my Apple Watch.I am very pleased with this purchase and can thoroughly recommend it. The views can be sent to the Cloud free of charge – or if a longer period of availability is needed then you can upgrade at a cost.If purchasing from Amazon don’t forget to click on the discount under description – further saving available. I don’t know what benefits you would get if you spent a lot more money on the market leaders products – certainly not necessary !

 

his video doorbell is actually loads better then my last video doorbell v5.. picture it excellent as is motion sensor. the only downfall is that it didn’t come with a charger. absolutely spot on.

 

Order arrived on time. Due to personal commitments it was installed a couple of months later.
Everything you need is in the box. Straight forward installation and connection with the WiFi.

A good alternative to “brand name” security cameras, this one includes an extra pair of 18650 batteries. It is recommended to charge the batteries before using the camera – you can charge them in the camera itself, but you’ll need a USB charger and appropriate USB lead. Setup was quite simple, the instructions are accessed via a QR code. The app to control the camera is easy to use and can manage additional devices if you need that. Motion detection works well, but like all such cameras, it can be a little slow to respond to motion and sometimes you get a recording of a delivery person as they disappear into the distance. Still, the video quality is surprisingly good and the device build quality is commendable too. 3 days of recordings are maintained online – if you want longer term storage, you’ll have to pay a subscription. Recommended.

Incredibly easy to install, motion detection has a very wide range which can be turned down. The traffic at the top of the drive kept setting ours off so we turned it to low. Very good sound and picture quality. Very easy to use via the app.

 

We needed a new doorbell anyway bso opted for this as added security. It works well and easy to install. I love that it saves to cloud storage saving memory card cost and also more secure without worrying about data on card. The wireless connection to my house was great. It is very stable. Most importantly is that the picture quality (day and night is fantastic). The extra feature of 2 way audio is useful. My only complaint is that the price has been reduced slightly since I purchased it! Even better value now. Definitely recommend if you need a new door bell.
