Brilliant to floss the stuck food from my teeth. Range of wands for other people in the family. Have to lean over the bath otherwise everything gets soaked. Tip: use warm water.

I use this as a travel flosser and daytime. It has two flossers jets, plus to different brush attachments. That also fit my main larger flosser, which means I can use my tongue and teeth brush attachments. The attachments come in a storage container to keep clean and together, nea.r on hand. I think that waterpic flossers are the best, and you can get replacement of the attachments via the WWW. Therefore you are able to purchase all the attachments, that may not have been included in the model you have.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBrand recommended by my dentist. I bought it as I confessed to the dentist that I rarely used floss as I find it a pain. This is easy to use and cleans my teeth far better than brushing alone (which maybe an advert!). I have definitely paid a premium for the brand. I doubt this is better than a generic product. It’s a water tank and a water pump with a concentrated nozzle. Pretty simple. Hopefully the pump on this will last longer making the higher price worthwhile. The water tank is small but big enough to do your whole mouth. Definitely recommend adding a bit of mouthwash. Also do not use really cold water. I also predict if you buy (no matter which brand) you WILL spray yourself in the eye when you forget to turn it off when you take it from your mouth. And it WILL blind you for a few seconds but from my experience no matter how sharp the initial pain was, like pepper spray, the effects do not last.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI was originally looking at the Panasonic EW1511 but I watched a review of it on YouTube and the reviewer mentioned the difficulty and cost of getting nozzles for it. It was also a little bit more expensive at the time. This unit works well enough but is, as others have said a bit bulky. It has a good size reservoir but only three power settings. I also think the on/off button and power setting button could be further apart as it’s easy to press the wrong button whilst using it. I’m not over keen on the magnetic charger but it works ok.
I think I should have ignored the review I saw and bought the Panasonic EW1511, it looks less bulky, is more powerful and has five power settings instead of just three. The charging dock looks better to me as well.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWill really depend on next dentist visit, but I have been astounded by the number of food bits flushed out of my gums/teeth that brushing and TeePee are not catching.
I feel that it is helping with my gum hygiene.

Not cheap but view it as an investment I’m your teeth and gums. I noticed a difference a difference in a couple of days. Upgrade from my old Oral B electric toothbrush

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI used a basic Waterpik for some years & had to replace it. What I like about this one is that there is a battery indicator which the basic one did not have which annoyed me. This one is a lot quieter but at the strongest setting doesn’t seem as strong as the basic one. The tank seems to hold less water than the basic one. It has a range of attachments and I am very impressed with the magnetic charger. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase & would recommend. This brand was recommended to me by my dentist & hygienis

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m rating this 4 star I was torn between this and the Philips sonicare one but I’m glad I chose this. My only slight gripes are that it is quite bulky and despite the claims on how water the reservoir holds it only reality it’s only two-thirds that becuse of the position of the suction tube. The design of the charger is a bit odd too but overall am happy.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this after my existing one died. (A different model.)
The different pressures provided are really good and the charger that just sticks to the side of the waterpik is a nice touch.
The only thing I’d say is the water tank capacity is smaller than on the model I replaced which means you have to fill it up more often. ( Not a problem and it makes it lighter to hold anyway.)
The battery seems to need charging a bit more often than the old one but also not a deal breaker.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI have a 5-tooth ‘bridge’ on my bottom front teeth (due to car accident) now for over 50 years and for many years I used ‘Super Floss’, which was both a pain to use, not to mention very costly.
Then I was advised by the dental surgeon at the dental hospital to give this particular make of flosser a try and I haven’t looked back since.

It does take some getting used to, and at first I sprayed the bathroom with water a lot, much to the amusement of my wife, and the of course there is the 3 settings for pressure to contend with too.

I personally use the high setting for my bridge, and the medium setting for the rest of my teeth, whereas my wife always uses the low setting, we are all different so the choice of 3 setting is great.
Most of the time I only need to fill the tank once with warm water, but that is after trial and error usage, again down to experience and the ‘learning curve.

I didn’t go down the route of the bigger flossing machines, mainly because mains electricity in any form in the bathroom is really a ‘no-no’ and in any case they are way too bulky unless you have a big bathroom.

This is now my 3rd version of this model, the first model design was a compete disaster and it used a physical plug to charge it and the terminals corroded, then thankfully they moved to induction charging, if they hadn’t I wouldn’t have bought it again, and I have just bought this again after 4 years of use as the battery wouldn’t fully charge any more, but I use it at least twice a day every day.
At the moment this is on offer at 69.99 (as of 18 May 2023) and Super Floss costs around 6 for 25 days, which is about 70/year, so I am actually saving a lot of money by using this flosser, as the Americans say, it is a “no brainer”.

    CONCLUSION :
For me personally, I just can’t do without this flosser, it is easy to use and a time saver and my regular dentist often comments how good my teeth and gums, especially for my age.
It does take s little bit of getting used to (the same goes for electric toothbrushes, which took me a while before I liked them) but the effort is well worth it in the end.
5 stars all day long from me.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersExcellent at cleaning between teeth, supplied with a good range of attachments, my only criticism is that the power switch is an on / off switch and not a hold on. My previous unit was a Philips one and you had to hold the power switch to keep it running. This one stays on and if you accidentally take the tip out of your mouth water gets sprayed everywhere

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersTeeth feel fresher as when I use string floss. It does take time to get used to and it is difficult to know if you got all the gaps. It is also difficult to clean behind the last tooth without a mirror. And the water tank is empty really quick, I have to refile 4 times which is not really bad but I thought I put it in here. All in all I am happy as I am not a big fan of string flossing which i have done my whole life.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought this cordless water flosser as a companion to my main unit I use at home, specifically for taking on trips with me.

As a solution for water flossing away from home, this really does fit the bill – with just as much pressure, whilst also actually being slightly quieter. This flosser is lightweight enough to single hand, and comes with a travel pouch plus a small case for the different heads to protect them.

Using it daily for a week, the battery also held up more than well enough so you could probably leave the charger at home to save a little bulk!

The only caveat is that the water tank is rather small, so unless you’re very efficient with flossing you may need to refill it two or three times to achieve the same result. Also with all the accessories in the pouch, it does feel a little bit stretched – but these are both very minor caveats to an otherwise nice package which fits the bill.

All in all, I can easily recommend this for anyone who water flosses and needs a solution away from home – bonus if you can buy it when on sale. If you’re only using it at home, the mains units are better though!

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersOnce upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a brave adventurer named Sir Flossalot. He was on a quest to defeat the fearsome dragon, Plaque, who had been terrorizing the kingdom’s teeth for far too long.

Sir Flossalot knew that he needed a powerful weapon to defeat the dragon, so he turned to the Waterpik Cordless Advanced Water Flosser. With its 3 pressure settings and rechargeable battery, it was the perfect tool for the job. And since Sir Flossalot was always on the go, the Waterpik’s portable design made it easy to take with him on his quest.

As Sir Flossalot approached the dragon’s lair, he could see Plaque’s teeth glinting in the sunlight. He readied his Waterpik and charged forward, unleashing a powerful jet of water that blasted away the dragon’s plaque and left its teeth sparkling clean.

The dragon was defeated, and the kingdom rejoiced. Sir Flossalot was hailed as a hero, and the Waterpik Cordless Advanced Water Flosser became a legend. From that day forward, the people of the kingdom flossed regularly and kept their teeth healthy and strong.

So if you too want to defeat the dragons of plaque and keep your teeth healthy, get yourself a Waterpik Cordless Advanced Water Flosser today

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMaybe I’m doing it wrong.. A wierd sensation to be honest and it can get a bit wet&messy (keep the jet part in your mouth as you turn it on otherwise sprays across the room lol). The different heads are a nice touch but again I didn’t “feel” any different. I did have to use the normal string floss for a bit food lodges between the back molars which the waterpik just couldn’t move. One other frustrating bit was needing a 2pin adaptor for the unit as mine did not come with a UK 3pin charger. But seems OK… Will find out when I next see the hygienist if it’s made a difference.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI got this because I have issues with flossing (no space for interdental brushes) and pockets of trapped food caused by my wisdom teeth coming in. I had been using a small brush to try and clean the pockets but it was a bit ineffective and caused a lot of irritation. This is a good alternative. I decided on this pricer one because I had money to spend and it seemed a more trustworthy brand that’d last longer. I haven’t had any issues so far.

I use about one reservoir once to twice a day and the battery lasts a fair bit. However, one reservoir doesn’t last long, just enough to get about all my teeth at a moderate pace on the highest setting. Beware if you use really cold water and have sensitive teeth, it can be a shock. The main issue is how messy it can be. Since one reservoir doesn’t last long before having to refill, it’s rather impractical to use over the shower tray or bath prior to bathing. You’re likely going to get water all over your face and sink area. But, it’s much faster and more convenient for cleaning your teeth. I had no issues with putting the settings to the highest after a first try, just using water that’s a bit less cold goes a long way to combat any sensitivity. I haven’t tried the other head attachments but I assume they’d work as intended. I personally have a sensitive gag reflex which can make it difficult to use at the back but that’s just me, I have issues even using a toothbrush.

It’s pricy (I got it for about 60), but I feel that it was a good purchase that helped with my issues.

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersAn excellent device, backed up by many high quality medical studies and research articles. I did some research on its claims, as I cynically anticipated it being a heavily asterisked claim backed up by smallprint as vague as “5.5 out of ten users reported”; but no, this device and its potential benefits seems to have been studied extensively.

My anecdotal experience is that, as a former smoker I used to suffer bleeding gums almost daily while and after brushing despite using a powerful electric toothbrush and chlorhexidine based mouthwashes and toothpastes. After even a week of once daily use with this, my bleeding had subsided significantly; and in the subsequent weeks the bleeding stopped entirely. My mouth feels so much cleaner, too, generally!

The sensation of using the device is likely to be unusual or uncomfortable to begin with, but you soon get used to it; the initial discomfort highly outweighed by its proven dental benefits and a definitely smoother and cleaner mouthfeel after use.

I have not had any issues with the battery life, or the power output being weak; I use it on its highest setting and putting a finger tip near the jet, it feels like a physical object almost pricking the finger.

The only thing I would say is I would have appreciated a larger water tank; as the device in my opinion isn’t very portable as it is, being far larger than an electric toothbrush or something of that nature, and is unlikely to go travelling with me. I think the product designer should have considered that and added a larger water tank (even 1.5x the capacity it is) given that it certainly isn’t even massively portable in its current state. I feel that would have been a worthwhile design compromise, as in its current form I either have to be very swift with my usage or refill the tank once while using it thoroughly (front and back of all teeth gaps and gums) on the high power setting. Not a big deal, but I think would have been easily rectified and would benefit from sacrificing its “portability” for a greater capacity.

The issues people seem to have with not being able to see the controls or light displays while using it I couldn’t really agree with, as you can very easily rotate the head of the device a full 360 degrees, which means when using it in the mirror I can clearly see the setting I’m on and the battery indicator lights while I’m using it.

I purchased a second one for my partner, and two of my work colleagues also purchased after one my recommendation and also only have positive things to say about the Waterpik.

Perhaps I would have thought twice at its original retail price, but I’m really glad I picked (Piked?) this up at a discounted price during a lightning deal.

    + Easy to use
    + Powerful water jet
+ Very clean teeth and gums, post use
+ Clinical/medical research backs up its claims
    + Sturdy device
    + Great add on accessories
    + Decent battery life

    – Not in my opinion very portable at all, other than from room to room in the house
    – Quite cumbersome, might not suit older people or those with upper body strength impairments
    – Low capacity water tank

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our Users2yr Update: I remain happy that I bought the Waterpik flosser and have had great use from it so have left it with 4 stars but I have decided to look at other options for the following reasons:-

WATER RESERVOIR – this is difficult to remove and clean
LOOSE TIPS – Not a major problem but they still blow off on occasion
CHARGING ARRANGEMENT – The magnetic charger is prone to be knocked off
BATTERY LIFE – Would be nice to have to recharge less frequently.

The Waterpik has lost a star because the first one I received had a fault. The heads kept blowing off during use despite being carefully seated in. This was changed rapidly by Amazon but I was even more disappointed to find the second one also had a fault. In this case the water flow slowed down to almost a standstill during use and then I found it very difficult to open the filling port because of a vacuum in the reservoir. Rather than just send it back again I contacted the company who sent a replacement reservoir but that did not solve the problem. I asked them for technical advice as to why it was happening but all they would do was to offer to replace the Waterpik again. I discovered I was able to sort the problem out myself by changing one of the rubber seals for a less bulky version, so just kept it !

I chose a portable flosser because I did not want a bulky piece of kit in the bathroom and wanted to be able to take it away. I considered the Phillips flosser but decided that the Waterpik was probably a more effective device. I think if you have a mouth in good condition then the Phillips could be an option. From my reading it seems the Phillips uses less water, has better battery technology and is smaller however once I got the Waterpik working properly I was very happy with it:-

    Battery:
This uses Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries. This technology does not like to be left on permanent charge. I am hoping to get good life out of them by charging for a few hours when the Waterpik indicates they are low. I find I recharge it one or twice a week.

    Water jet power:
The pulsating water jet is very powerful and on a maximum setting can be very uncomfortable if directed on the wrong part of the mouth. I cant see why anyone would want a more powerful jet ! There are 3 settings if you want to use lower power.

    Reservoir size:
This is a balance between how bulky the Waterpik is (it is quite bulky) and how long the water lasts. Refilling is very quick indeed . I tend to have to refill the Waterpik once during use but if you are less thorough or use a lower setting you would get away with not having to.

    Noise:
Yes you can hear it but it is on a par with an electric razor or toothbrush.

    Does it work ?
My dentist was happy I was using the Waterpik but pointed out that it should be used in addition to other dental hygiene procedure not in place of them. There is no question that it makes my mouth feel cleaner after use and if I am at home will often pop into the bathroom to use it after eating just because it makes me feel better.

I am very happy with the Waterpik and would have given it 5 stars if I had not received two faulty ones !

Golden Review Award: 74 From Our UsersI purchased this water pik after a few weeks of deliberation and comparing a number of alternatives.

I had quite a Iot of dental work done over an 18 month period, having broken off one of my front teeth. It was not until this happened that I realised how bad my previous dentist had been in looking after my teeth. I have gastritis and it was not until he retired and I changed dentists I realised just how badly my teeth had been affected by my gastritis. Hence my decision to see how I could help myself improve my aural health.

Now that most of the work is completed I have a dental routine which appears to be helping keep down the acid and reducing the damage to my teeth. A big part of this is with the assistance of the Water pik.

I use it at least twice a day; firstly to remove the food debris which accumulates between my teeth- in places where I cannot use a tepe brush and again after I have brushed my teeth to remove any acid produced by my toothpaste. Followed then by Curasept mouthwash which again helps to protect against acid. I still use the tepe brushes – I do not see the Waterpik as an alternative, but as additional to my usual routine.

The Water pik has a small brush for use around dental implants and braces, etc. which is extremely useful. The pack comes with 4 attachments, one of which I use as a nose cleaner, again effective for helping with my gastritis.

I also use it any time during the day if I have eaten anything which has stuck between my teeth. Again it cleans the debris extremely efficiently. Some of my teeth are very close together.

Before purchasing I read numerous comments regarding difficulty of use. As with a previous reviewer, my dentist stated that there was no real proof that this works instead of string flossing, but I find string flossing not easy to use and the Waterpik gives me a better result.

I use my Water pik in the shower which reduces the problem of water spray significantly. Other than that, spray is kept to a minimum if used over a sink or basin keeping the mouth very slightly open and not stood upright looking through a mirror. The Water pik has the added advantage of 3 strength levels and I would recommend starting on low and filling with warm water. Not too much of a problem if used correctly.

In my opinion, I have found that the battery life is also very good. Bearing in mind my usage I need to charge it about every 10-14 days.

I initially gave it 4 stars as I have not yet been able to test its use for travel, although I cannot foresee any problem with that in my particular circumstances

Would I recommend it – without a doubt had it not started leaking

However I have found that it is leaking quite badly. Not sure where the leak is coming from but will consider contacting Amazon in view of this. I left it on the window sill and the next morning there was quite a lot of water leakage as you can see. I hadn’t noticed it before as it is usually empty or I empty it when I have finished using it. I usually have to fill it at least once and had noticed it before but thought that I had spilt water when filling it. The alternative, make sure its emptied after every use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Would I recommend the Water pik - without a doubt if it didn't leak
