Our son has sensory needs and this vest does wonders. Makes him calm and focus on tasks. It’s also easy to wear and to add extra weights. I would highly recommend this vest.
Believe or not I was so skeptical about a vest maintaining my 5 year old calmness. My son has ADHD/anxiety/sensory issues. But it did. Immediate change in his attitude and focus. His speech therapist and teacher noticed a difference right away. Tasks that he struggled with all year he was able to do with the help of this vest.
Today his teacher ask can he take it off because he was asking. I said sure so his nervous system could reset. Immediately after removal he acted out and yelled at a classmate. After placing it on him again all was good. This was proof that it does work for him. Best investment I made ever!

My super-energized grandson wears the vest with the weights for about 30-40 minutes daily. He is calmer both at kindergarten and at home. My daughter is pleased with the vest, which has been in use for several months now.
I had a problem with my son taking his clothes off and going full speed ahead at bedtime… he looks forward to wearing this as its comforting to him and he doesn’t try to take it off or his other clothes when he is wearing it… also helps him get tired enough to sleep if we put it on an hour before bedtime or so… worth the money and really helps surprisingly well

This is probably my second or third Harkla item and I am pleased, as per usual. It wasn’t a magic fix (nothing ever is) but it was a product my son (5 lvl 3 ASD) put on and kept on for quite sometime! He did not enjoy the weights provided in the front pockets by his belly, but did not mind them in the back pockets.
It’s like a little tactical vest for wading the sensory waters. It’s a joke in our home, putting it on is like ‘gearing up to combat sensory disturbances!’
But in all seriousness, it’s comfortable enough for him to want to keep it on for small doses of time (getting used to it), adjustable in compression, and I can add weight since he likes added input (mainly one of the reasons I got this one). All in all, 5/5. Need to tackle washing but that’s another story.

This compression vest has helped my grandson much more than any weighted blanket.
The vest works well however the weight bags create bulges which isn’t comfortable. The compression and weighted functionality cannot be done simultaneously because comfort is of utmost importance.
This is easy to wear, everything is velcro and weights are adjustable. Just wish the material is a little soft on the edges to prevent irritation for kids.

I bought this for my grandson who is on the autistic spectrum & suffers from related anxiety with fight/flight tendencies. We use this in school when he’s transitioning from 1 activity to another & it really helps. He also really loves it which was a relief.

Extremely comfortable and I wear it while I work and do school. I’m a really small guy so the (I think large) was just fine. I wish it were longer in size and I wish it came with more weight though. The larger sizes should have more than 2lbs, since 10% of my body weight is between 11-13lbs.

Great quality and fits a toddler perfectly. It was very easy to put on, seems sturdy and secure yet comfortable and still allows him to move freely.
The stitching looks durable and the vest material is light enough for my hot natured daughter. We noticed a difference in her demeanor and how much less she walked on her tippy toes.
Let me start by saying my son is 2 years old and has autism. We got this product to help meet his sensory needs. He gets over excited and angry (at times). So far this vest has helped him. We haven’t had it long but we have used it a few times. He has therapy twice this week and I plan to use it and see if it helps him.

We bought this for my son after his occupational therapist mentioned it. It has been a god send for us!! My son loves his “awesome vest” and it helps him to calm down & focus. It’s easy to wash and put on. I love the mesh panels which make the vest not be too warm even in the middle of these hot summer days. As long as this vest seems to be helping my son I will continue to buy the next sizes up to keep my son in the vests as long as possible.

Was looking for just a weighted vest for my son with autism but was also considering a compression vest. Found this vest that is both weighted and compression and I’m really impressed. You can use it for both at the same time or one or the other. My son likes it also which is the real winner. By his measurements, he was in between sizes so we sized up. The vest is adjustable so it fits perfectly. Worth the price!

Diese Weste hat uns erstaunlich gut gefallen, schon nach den ersten 20 min tragen, konnten wir eine Verbesserung feststellen, ich war skeptisch und konnte es selbst nicht glauben. Aber jeden Tag bemerken wir, da unser Sohn (7 Jahre, Strung der Sensomotorik) in vormals “kritischen Situationen” wie essen, zu Bett gehen, Hausaufgaben machen, ruhiger ist. Auch er selber bemerkt eine Vernderung an sich. Ich bin begeistert.
Die Weste ist sehr gut verarbeitet, lsst sich spielend einfach an und ausziehen, die Kompression ist dank Klettverschluss regulierbar. Der Preis ist total OK.

I consider it to be very helpful and my 6 year old ASD son loves really tight hugs and this helps to calm him down when he’s stressed. I use it nearly everyday. Very soft too so it’s comfortable.
I am not a medical professional. I do have 14 years of experience working with children and all I can say is that this products does help. There are plenty of YouTube videos about this product that can give you real life experiences, based on my personal experience I give it 2 thumbs up.

I love the looks of it. I like the way it fit and my great grandson seems to love it.
First things first, I put four stars because I had just recieved it 3 days ago. The first thing I liked about it is it didn’t bother my 4 year old son to have it on for 20+ mins so the comfort is there. He has high energy (with no diagnosis,) it has helped him be more attentive (when wearing it). The fabric is durable, no seams are out of place and the weights fit snug, and the velcro straps tightly. I’ll be back to update more on Durability & value for money at a later date but so far we like it and I would suggest it, especially for the price!
Seemed expensive for what it is but I was desperate and I’m glad I went for it. My son is 2 months away from 5 so i got him the 5-7 and it’s a bit big but you are able to tighten it so it lasts longer.

This is a very durable and dependable weighted compression vest for my 4 year old. The velcro is very strong and there are enough pockets for the weights provided. There are pockets on the inside of the vest so she cannot grab them easily. It comes with (4) 1/4 lb weights and (2) 1/2 lb weights. I highly recommend it for a child who has ADHD, Autism, or sensory overload issues. It is relaxing for the child.

My son has an OT recommendation for a weighted vet for muscle development and posture .. this product is excellent. he was reluctant to wear at first .. but once we showed him the Rock pulling on a flack jacket and the similarity to his vest .. we cant get him out of it!
This seemed to help with calming down but it was a bit difficult to get on and off at times.
My daughter has sensory processing difficulties , I feel this has actually be beneficial to her as appears calmer when she uses this as part of her sensory diet .
This vest has become part of my son’s night time routine. He tends to get very agitated right before bed but once I put the vest on him he calms right down and engages in more calming activities. I then remove the vest and put him to bed without disturbing his more “relaxed state” since it is very quick and easy to take off.
For the amount of money I paid for the vest. I could have gotten to weighted blankets Which would have worked just as well.

Hands down best vest, helps with my Daughter’s Sensory Processing Disorder, her Anxiety, Autism, and we are starting to use it for better sleep.
Product is very well made. We use it for our little (2.5yrs old) one with ASD, SPD, and GDD. He wears it at school or anywhere there is too much stimulation and it calms him like deep pressure or bear hugs. I wish there was an option to add more weight, as his occupational therapist feels that he could benefit from it being a bit heavier, but I DO like that it comes with the option for parents to add or take away the weights that it comes with to customize the weight up to the limit.
My 12 year old son wears this in 6th grade. It’s a darker color and doesn’t stick out too much. He states he feels a lot calmer with it and this is the first vest we have tried. It’s easy to put together and keep clean.

Just received today. 15 minutes after use my son fell asleep and was so calm. We use weighted blankets as well but this was so different and fast. My son is 2.5yrs old and couldn’t take the Velcro off. He was upset for a minute about not being able to take the vest off but then didn’t mind. I can’t wait to use this more. A little expensive for a weighted vest, especially if you have to buy additional weight, but it’s made a big improvement in my sons sleep, behavioral issues, and ability to self regulate. In combination with other OT and self regulation methods, it’s a life save
