Bought to replace a previous alarm that had stopped working . Easy to install, two screws provided with plugs , actually just used the holes the old alarm had been fixed with same size base plate then just twist main body on to activate. Ten battery life so hopefully won’t need replacing for a good long time
I bought two of these in February – one in hall way and one at top of stairs and we test them regularly. Had a small kitchen fire today – house full of smoke while I was oblivious working in my upstairs office ……….and NEITHER OF THEM went off, absolute disaster waiting to happen! Do not buy!

Bought this to replace an old one. Looks good and fits exactly on the spot where our old alarm was fitted.
Very easy to instal, just two screws to attach the back place then fit on and turn to activate.
Opted for this one as wanted one with a long battery life.

This is a perfect solution.
It doesn’t come with the adhesive pads but the smoke alarm has been designed to accommodate them which is what made me choose it.
Simply buy the Ecence smoke alarm magnetic adhesive pads (also from Amazon for 4.99) with this and the fit is perfect. So easy to attach and remove the alarm because it’s only held with a magnet. And no awkward drilling into the ceiling.
Couple of tips if you do intend to use adhesive rather than screws.
Firstly, the mounting plate that comes with the alarm still has to be used.
This confused me at first but the mount fits in a way that activates the alarm. So without it the alarm will not function. Important to know that!
The adhesive pads go on the back of the mounting plate and the ceiling. When you do it you’ll realise the alarm was designed to fit the pads I mentioned earlier.
Secondly. Ideally give the adhesive time to set before you put the alarm up. I put the one on the ceiling and other on the mounting plate and then left them both a few days before I attached the alarm to the ceiling.
I’ve seen a few comments from people who seemingly did not do this. Adhesive is far more likely to work as intended if left to set before bearing any weight.

I usually purchase another well known make but have found that they have never lasted ten years. So i liked the look of this one. And am willing to give it a try.
La notice ne correspond pas l’appareil. Il faut cogiter un moment pour raliser que sur 3 ergots de fixation avec 3 possibilits de blocage, 1 seul assure la connection. J’ai failli renvoyer l’appareil comme ne fonctionnant pas. Mais part a , a marche parfaitement.
Achet pour en remplacer un autre modle…J’avais coll la platine au plafond, pas de souci, j’ai recoll dessus! L’appareil est trs facile monter. La notice explicative est trs claire mais c’est si simple qu’on n’a mme pas besoin d’elle. Le plus du produit c’est c’est piles intgres pour 10 ans. Pas besoin de se proccuper d’avoir les changer. J’ai pratiquer un test, l’appareil fonctionne bien. SUPER achat, je recommande +++
My only criticism is that if you follow the mounting instructions when mounting to a wall, the text on the device will not be horizontal. It took me several attempts to get it horizontal enough to not upset me every time I walked downstairs. Some slotting on the mounting holes would help this greatly.
Le dtecteur de fume vous avertit en cas de dbut d’incendie. Il est aliment par une pile garantie pour 10 ans prfrable aux piles rectangulaires de 9 volts places sur les modles bon march mais qui reviennent plus chres sur la dure! Ce modle est assez grand par rapport ceux vendus dans le commerce en gnral, ce qui est pas mieux pour ma part. Je n’ai pas connu de fausses alertes ce qui est un dfaut souvent prsent dans les modles bon march.
J’ai cr que le dtecteur de fume tait vendue avec un systme de fixation aimant mais non rien dans la bote…. colis reu ouvert malheureusement…. dpos dans la bote aux lettres
– il y a une plaque fixer avec deux vis (fournies), pour ma part j’ai simplement pos l’appareil sur une tagre.
– ensuite on place les 3 ergots de l’appareil sur la plaque et on tourne dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre
– et pour tester on appuie sur le bouton (mettez votre main sur le haut parleur pour ne pas avoir les oreilles abimes).
Donc on met en place et on attend 10 ans (dure thorique de la batterie), au lieu de changer la batterie tous les ans. Donc ce dtecteur est vraiment conomique.
installation facile (les vis ou l’adhsif sont fournis).
je retire une toile pour l’encombrement est assez imposant, et pour la puissance sonore qui impose de placer ce dtecteur dans une pice de l’habitation et non pas dans un grenier ou un abri de jardin.
Petit bmol ! Support pos droit sur un mur vertical, mais quand l’alarme est fixe sur celui-ci,elle se trouve de travers. Trop tard pour revenir en arrire si je ne veux pas faire des trous partout…
Easy to install and has a 10 year life. What’s not to like. I used the adhesive magnetic pads to secure it to the ceiling and it was a doddle. No drilling holes.
It did it’s job but now I have to replace one after two years, not the ten as advertised
Tested them and they are loud and feel safer for having them in my home

There are screws to fit on the wall or ceiling, but I now just lay on the kitchen shelf as we will replace the kitchen soon.
My other fire alarm kept going off so this is a replacement.
I cannot comment on the battery life as only just received the alarm will need to wait and see if it lasts for the 10 years as quoted.

Easy to install, long battery life hopefully and great value for money. Not many allow you to install on a wall instead of ceiling, this one does, so no additional drilling needed, replaced where old door bell chimes was!

This was easy to fit and test. As it is a smoke alarm, we are not going to be able to say that it is going to last the 10 years, but it is fitted and ready for action.

Does not appear to go off when the atmosphere is damp if someone is having a shower like others.

A nice looking smoke alarm, very easy to install. It has a shrill alarm that would easily wake or alert anyone. A smart looking alarm for a very reasonable price. Delighted.
Very easily installed. I used a self adhesive magnetic holder. Lifetime battery. When the device needs replaced, the battery should expire at roughly the same time.

Appears to be well constructed and offered at a good price by comparison with others online……….also well packaged and fast delivery.
TIP………use only the mounting screws supplied as they are countersunk to avoid fouling when the body is turned when joining the two parts.

Well made smoke alarms. The quality of not only the smoke alarm but the packaging is excellent. Easy to install and very happy customer so far.
The battery will last 10 years, apparently, so that’s good.
Downside is I think I’ll need to buy a new alarm after that, though, as I don’t think it’s possible to change the battery.
But it’s 10 years, so no problem.
Bought for my elderly parents and I wouldn’t take a risk with them. Very easy to install and as it has a battery life of 10 years you can leave it alone apart from the occasional test to see all is still working. Second one I have bought and I would recommend this smoke alarm.

Edit (^4*): Having put it back in its holder, it seems to have been alright for the last couple of months, so maybe the malfunction was caused by dust or an insect.

Bought two, one of them battery failed (The other one no problem), as they are sealed, cannot replace the battery. Contacted them, and they sent promptly a replacement. Very good customer service.

A prima vista si capisce subito che il prodotto ben fatto, i materiali sembrano molto validi, l’aspetto sarebbe potuto essere pi slanciato e meno tozzo anche se a dire la verit a soffitto fa la sua bella figura .
Composto da una base agganciata al sensore con mezzo giro risulta molto comodo il fissaggio con dei semplici tasselli di quest’ultima, una volta fatto ci basta togliere i fermetti dalla base che andranno applicati lateralmente al sensore una volta agganciato.
L’intervento dell’allarme puntuale e preciso senza scherzi strani con una potenza del suono non indifferente
Ottima la batteria al litio che garantisce durata ed affidabilit nel tempo in fine caratteristica molto importante la possibilit di silenziare un qualsiasi malfunzionamento dello stesso semplicemente sganciandolo dalla sua base .
This alarm was recommended for use in my RV to detect smoke, but the original unit of the same make and model developed a fault and went off without any smoke present so it went off and on several times. so I decided to replace it with the same model. as it just slotted in the original fitting. new one working well, just hope it lasts longer than the original. Due to the reputation of this alarm I am trusting the reputation of this model as it is fitted to many RV from the factory.
Bought this for a neighbour. Nice quality, and seems OK. Have read reviews about false alarms and poor battery life, but so far cannot fault this.I seems a solid well made unit.

Neat & easy to instal, replacing old battery one which finally expired when alarm was triggered.
Works well, would wake up the dead when it goes off, as I found out when burning the toast.

This was dead easy to fit – the hole spacing was pretty much the same as the defunct (old, different make) alarm. Unscrew that, screw up this, off we go. The test button works, presumably the alarm will work too.

Good size, looks neat and easy to use. 3M stick on magnets fit well on the back of the alarm avoiding drilling of holes in ceiling or wall.
I used to get a lot of false alarms from cooking with the previous alarm, as it’s in the hall way outside the kitchen door. I have not had a single false alarm from this yet, so fingers crossed it is as effective should the worst happens.
My (10 year) X-sense alarm from two years ago fixed in another part of the house is still working perfectly. So I bought this latest 10 year alarm which fitted straight onto the old ceiling fitting from the 5 year alarm, and I am very happy with it.
