You just can’t fault a real Xbox controller. So far it is better than I had anticipated and I’ve wanted one for a long time. It’s well worth saving for it. The box came a bit loose and crumpled but the controller is perfectly fine. You’re likely to have better luck.

I have tried another low-cost off-brand one and it was no good i.e. stick deadzone is crazy, you have no precision, and the vibration is bad (just some of the various reasons). It seems from reviews they are all that way.

The colour blue is very nice. I love it! For anyone wondering, the back is white, this includes the battery cover.

I know it’s a matter of preference, so your mileage will vary, as its form is not to everyone’s taste. However, I changed to Xbox with the first gen and simply to play Halo, having grown up on Playstation and Nintendo.

I stayed with them until PS4 slim, although I still had an Xbox, most friends played PS4 so ended up ditching the Xbox entirely & I hated the switch back as the PS controllers are simply awful with poor ergonomics, poor materials choice and atrocious longevity.

Getting back into PC gaming caused me to buy a newer form of the Xbox controller in a cool lime colour, and it felt immediately better and familiar. Whilst not compelling enough to cause me to ditch the PS5, it might be enough to make me think about getting back into Xbox…. Honestly, Microsoft has nailed the controller and Sony could learn a thing or two.

I’ve been using this controller for about a year or so now and it still works perfectly! It’s got grip on the handles and is such a cool controller. A very good purchase

Is the controller that xbox itself sells but for cheaper. To create this controller on xbox website is a lot more expensive and xbox takes a lot longer to deliver. This is product provides same quality as xbox and provides more insurance, stability and efficiency.

Just your big standard Xbox controller. Can’t go wrong really, the price is steep but that’s more because of the prices Xbox charge than any fault of Amazon. Great durability and input speed is high

Good wireless controller. I dropped a star since the version I purchased didn’t include the USB wireless adapter required for PC use, & finding a genuine MS version can be a challenge. I used PKCELL NiZn AA rechargeable batteries which work really well. I’m not sure why these batteries are not more popular, and the NiZn chargers, available on Amazon are over priced. The NiZn batteres have a higher 1.6 voltage than other types of 1.2V rechargeable batteries, and so are a direct substitute for single use alkaline batteries.

this is the real deal i waited until i had been useing it for at laest six mounths as thats when you know as they break down.
but this is as good as the day i baught it, a comfortable precise well made controler.
you cant go wroung with this one.
but bear in mind if you are planing on useing it for PC you will need a wireless dongle and eventully a rechargeable pack.

My son has the Xbox series X, this helped me to decide along with the easy connection to PC.
The packaging is secure and it arrives with two AA batteries, its is easy to connect and set up.
The only issue I have with this controller is it has the facility for rechargeable batteries, but we have buy them at extra cost. The controller in my opinion would be better value for money if it came with rechargeable battery pack when you buy the controller.

Not sure about the built quality. Feel cheap, not premium and not feel “full” in my hand. PS controller has better quality and feel premium.

Very bright wasn’t actually expecting it to be literally this green but it what my kid chose themselves so there happy

well mine was faulty sticky button a replacement is on its way i have found the Xbox one controller is one of the best controllers on the market the new design is excellent fits in your hand better than the previous controller that just one day stopped working it was years old and served me well so i decided to purchase a new one my first search was amazon the price was competitive my only disappointment was the now the lack of limited edition controllers that suited my tastes so for now i will just use a standard colour.

But worth every penny. It’s so pretty! 4 stars because you still need to buy a wireless dongle or a usbc connector. That’s a little cheeky considering the price in my opinion.

I like the controller, I just don’t think the coloured ones last as well as the one’s you get with the Xbox itself

My original series X controller finally died bought as a replacement. The colour is really nice & the pad has rubber grips on the back unlike the one I replaced but other than that they are the same controller. Probably not worth the money but unfortunately that’s how much all controllers cost in this day and age.

I made sure the gamepad I ordered on here was ‘Sold by Amazon’ to reduce the risk of receiving a counterfeit one. I chose the robot white xbox controller, and received a robot white series S/X controller. If you wiki ‘list of xbox controllers’ you can see which list your controller belongs to (my one is from 2020).

Pros
– The shoulder buttons, trigger buttons and analogue sticks seem to be of good quality.
– The controller includes 2x AA batteries so you are good to go if you wish to use it wirelessly, as long as your device has the bluetooth it requires to run.
– It has the usual xbox design which mainly borrows from the Sega Dreamcast in layout.
– The controller is recognised on a computer without installing extra software.
– The controller is not very heavy.

Cons
– The d-pad (especially) and it’s four main buttons are a bit loud or clicky which makes the controller feel cheap. There may be alternative controllers with better feeling d-pads out there, although if it’s for retro games you might be better getting a classic styled controller as a backup to this one.
– The battery cover is of thin plastic which also feels cheap. It may be hard to remove too, and feels like it could break. On the cover, put your finger or nail where the arrow shows and push up gently to open.
– The 2x AA batteries included are not rechargeable!
– There is no USB-C to USB-A cable included so you can’t use the controller wired for no lag and zero chance of signal dropouts, unless you have a modern phone cable available.
– For over fifty quid the gamepad is quite expensive.

ps Some wireless xbox controller chargers on here have been reported to damage controllers, so I decided to use a simple duracell AA battery charger instead. There don’t seem to be many that are compatible with the sx controllers anyway.
I avoid non branded items and made up brand name chargers for safety. If you go for any kind of charger or batteries, consider getting them offline or from a high st online store to be safe. I went for rechargeable AA batteries with the highest ‘mah’ rating I could find (highest that the charger could support) so that they would last longer before needing charged again. For the most part though, I’ll probably just use the controller with a phone cable to connect to pc or console.

There are reports of the white controllers changing pink on the back where your hands normally go, as a result of sweat and long term use. I have not had it long enough to experience this. Other than that, it’s still a good controller, and if you aren’t going to use it for many games which require many d-pad combinations (such as in retro fighting games) then you shouldn’t have a problem with it.
