My girls have had great fun with this. Easy to set up and easy to use.

It has proved handy, not only for inquisitive children, but handy for very small repairs I was trying to carry out on a switch.

My one criticism is that I can’t get it to work with my iMac. No success in using the app whatsoever.

This is remarkably good value for anyone 6 years old or older. It is inexpensive for what it is and definitely does the job. The instructions are easy to follow and a micro SD card is included. It is necessary to download the driver, software and user guide from their website.
I has two modes. One is used with a connection to a computer the other works directly with the built-in screen.
Everything you need apart from the driver and software is included in the box.
It is aimed at jewellery makers and I can see how useful this would be.
For me, the maximum screen resolution for still images is rather disappointing at 640×480 but it works exceptionally well and my comments re budding young scientists is valid.
I use eset software and had no issues with the software downloads.
If it lacks anything, it’s the solid feel of high-end microscopes, but it seems tought enough.

This microscope is pretty much ready to use out of the box. Although it feels a little cheap – not your old school heavy microscope, it does produce excellent results.
The LCD screen is excellent and as a koi keeper I used it to identify any bacteria/worms that are causing my fish to get ill. It worked a treat and it was so much easier to use than a regular microscope.

Fun way to introduce your kids to micro world this microscope is of a good quality and ability to connect to your computer for even large picture.

Excellent item for a small price.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis handy piece of kit can magnify up to x500 and is extremely easy to put together and operate.

My kids love it and have used it to examine everything from broccoli to Barbies, but of course it can also be expanded to a much more serious level. Powered by a lithium battery (included), it can record images to an SD card or be linked directly to a laptop. Very easy to raise and lower the arm and incredibly easy to focus.

It really is an ideal purchase for beginners to using a good spec microscope and for doing intricate soldering work, etc. My daughter loves science in general so is fascinated by how items look under magnification, and this is a great encouragement for her. Definitely worth investing in.

Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

Decent spec microscope. Easy to set up & operate.

This microscope has been great for my kids – they’ve been fascinated using it to look at the stones they’ve collected over the summer, their fingers, and a range of other objects. The built in LCD screen means you can quickly and easily see the object, and makes it more of a social activity as others can see at the same time too.

No instructions are included, just a link to a user guide on the internet. The user guide could be clearer and better structured but it tells you how to get started if you follow it through. You need a MicroSD card to save photos and videos.

I did not install the DigiCapturePro software – Windows gives a warning about it as it is from an unknown publisher and I’m not prepared to take the risk. You do not need the software to use the microscope – it can be used completely independently of a computer. But you can connect to a computer (or take the microSD card out) to transfer photos and videos to your computer.

This is handy on my table. I work with electronic circuit boards and sometimes it is hard to see certain important details. This makes it easy to magnify details. The resolution could have been better. Software installation is easy. The leaflet that accompanies the Micrsocopew has the instructions on where to find the driver as well as the user guide.

Easyy to use and very useful in various ways

I have never used a Microscope before but as I do fair amount of Micro/Macro photography I was wondering if I could zoom in further than 1 zoom ratio my Nikon Macro lens offers.

This LCD Digital Microscope with Polarizer is a very basic but capable and versatile Microscope as it offers 10 to 150 optical and 500 digital magnification which is extraordinary zoomification for me and my pal (Grandson).

I received Topnisus model DM041 and it comes with a Quick Start Guide leaflet that point you to their website to download User guide which is a PDF file for you specific model. Upon visiting this site McAfee advised me that it is a unsafe website. After that when I downloaded User guide which is PDF that is actually very well laid out. If you follow the instructions to assemble the Microscope and test it out, it is very easy to get you going.

PDF also advised me to download their PC software to use this Microscope directly connected to PC via USB cable supplied. I proceeded to download Digi Capture Pro software and again McAfee warning to stay clear of unknown program but I was determined to get it installed for review. I was comfortable as I have vast experience in IT field plus what manufacturer would make a product and trying to sell on Amazon would give you a dodgy program with virus. I proceeded at my own risk and when I tried to install it, Windows 10 Defender tried to stop me. I bypassed all security warnings at my own risk and I can confirm there is no issue with my computer as I have done full scan for virus etc.

There are some limitations in photo and video resolutions as on my PC using Digi Capture Pro App I can only get maximum screen resolution of 640480 which is very low resolution for 2 magpixel camera onboard and 720p video resolution as in description. On the other hand it is a Microscope for minuscule things so resolution in relation with the subject and coverd area would be more than enough.

Another useful feature is polarizer as it can capture details of reflective objects. It has a decent built quality and stand is very sturdy too. 4:3 screen size is ample but you can also connect it to PC. It has built-in SMD lights which you have total control of as they are dimmable. Focus ring is very smooth and focus distance is 0mm. Yes you have read it right. It needs a Micro SD card to save your photos and record videos but if you connect it to PC then you can save it on your hard drive.

I am very impressed with this Microscope and would definitely recommend it.

A nice little Microscope for an inquisitive mind like me and my Grandson.

Straight out of the box this Digital Microscope works once charged. Securely packaged, easy to pop together and the LCD screen is very clear and produces great clarity when looking at objects. I work a lot with precious and semi-precious stones and this is excellent for accurately seeing flaws etc. Grandchildren love it because they have been bringing in garden bugs and different seeds and have been fascinated by seeing them in such a microscopic way.

Connecting to a laptop and installing additional software gives even greater scope but for us oldies the ‘straight out of the box’ way is working great and we have taken it to the beach on a family day out so we could microscopically look at organisms from rock pools without actually destroying the subject. You can take pictures, record video and it takes a micro sd card.

A really great product and for the price has even more features for us to enjoy once our younger generation connect to their laptops and show us it’s full potential.

Well packaged. Bought for SMD circuit soldering etc. Works well, excellent picture quality and good magnification for what I need. Multiple outputs for PC and HDMI so I can use my TV if needed. Base is a little small and has no way of holding object being viewed firmly. Battery lasts about two hours however unit can be powered by external usb charger or computer Usb. Polariser works ok and can make a lot of difference to visibility of object. Value for money is 4/5 it does not look like a unit built for commercial use but then again, at the price, you wouldn’t expect it to be. Orange plastic controls do not do much for its image! Overall, very satisfied with purchase and the supplier gives exceptional and quick response to questions.

I’ve had this microscope for a while now and it has been a great tool to help learn about things. Cutting up various items and looking at them under the scope with an easy to see screen. You can record or even output via a hdmi cable to a tv or monitor. Great bit of kit, makes learning for children fun and has been a godsend these last few weeks with home schooling.

Lovely microscope, easy to use for my 7 year old and we all enjoy looking at stuff, we take it out on our daily walks and we always find some amazing things. Only downside, Id like it to have a slide holder but overall I highly recommend this

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOrdered this on the advice of a friend as I couldn’t afford the 700 plus scope that everyone else was using, and my god, this is the perfect solution at 90% cheaper, the supplier monitor is clear, crystal clear, and it also came with a hdmi lead so I could make the image even bigger on my 55″ display! Two battery’s, all charge cable and convenient for me to pick up and take with me on my van, light image also helps and provides a clear view all the time, is there a negative about this unit,? NO, it came next day and more or less earned me the cost of the unit with one repair. More than happy and will 100% recommend this scope and selle

    Unbelievably outstanding

I’ve been looking for a decent digital microscope for some time to help with various hobbies that I do, including soldering, fine detail painting, and miniature wood carving. So far I am not disappointed. The photos attached are of me trying everything out and were taken freehand mode.

The three with the thread on are my dog’s collar from varying distances and magnifications. The number is the battery status symbol on my phone showing the white as it’s three colours, and the thing that looks like a landscape is the skin on my dog’s nose and there’s my eye.

The reflections in my eye are from the built-in LED’s, I had to hook the microscope up to my TV to focus in order to get a decent picture.

The stand is a simple affair, but once screwed in it is stable and robust enough with simple motion controls via a screw thumb turn on the vertical height adjustment.

The product description states that this is the DM041, but in reality, I received a DM042. I’m not 100% sure what that means, however, 2 batteries were included. Everything else that it was able to do has met my expectations so far. And for information, they’re the same batteries you can find in some older style Nokia phones, so if you have one kicking about, you instantly have spare batteries (I now have 4)

I haven’t played around too much with the software yet, but loading it onto my Win 10 PC was pain-free and works fine so far. Transferring images off the device to my PC was straight forward enough though.

A couple of minor niggles that I wasn’t expecting when I first received it. The time and image capture resolution reset to factory default on power-up. I’m wasn’t bothered about the time as I don’t need time stamps on my images and videos and it’s simple enough to change the resolution so not really a detraction from the purpose I purchased it for. It was quickly sorted with a firmware update though and now works flawlessly. Excellent customer support 🙂

All in all, I am extremely satisfied with it and looking forward to using it for the purpose of my purchase. I’ll be hooking it up to a 28″ monitor which gives me a perfect view of what I’m working on.

Super Simple to setup and Use
