I contacted the seller and had a prompt reply from Jack, who advised he would send me a new charger plug free of charge.

I decided to purchase this DVD player based on positive recommendations from other owners, and I am very glad that I decided to purchase this 17.5″ screen model, rather than the smaller screen models offered by other companies. I like the way that the screen can be swiveled to achieve the optimum viewing angle, plus the remote control is very handy. The remote control is very responsive when pointed at the sensor located on the front of the unit, and offers a wide range of functions. The BOIFUN DVD player is well built, and I am looking forward to watching my favourite DVDs.

I liked the size of the screen, my old one was only 7ins , could hardly see it.

This a very useful device at an excellent price. I’m probably spoiled from having seen DVDs on Macs previously but some adjustment of the picture controls gives a good watchable picture.The screen size is good especially compared with other similar devices and features such as the memory one, taking you back to the point on the DVD you left it, are excellent if you want to take a break or you need to answer tnat phone call. Sound is good, with a point for headphone plug in. While the machine feels fragile don’t forget its meant to be very lightweight! The only problem I have is tne hand controller buttons are a bit on the small side and for someone elderly such as myself it would be nice if it was coloured white with black text on it. Younger folk than me may however have no problem with small buttons from their smartphone usage. All in all a very good buy at an excellent price.
The 17.5″ Portable DVD Player is a good value for money DVD player – we bought this moor my mother so that she could was movies and look at her DVD photo discs which all works well. It is also great that there is a SD slot so she can take pictures on her digital camera and then view them on the large screen of the DVD player.

This is an excellent product with superb HD picture quality. This dvd player is like my laptop in size so it is ideal for using anywhere. either at home or in the car. The battery life is up to 6 hours which is more than enough for watching two movies without interruption. If only a part of a dvd is watched, the player will resume where it was paused which is an extremely useful function. Visually the player is attractive and it also has an easy-to-use chunky remote control. This purchase represents excellent value for money and I would highly recommend this DVD Player to families for grown-ups and kids.

First impressions that this I a well designed, ergonomically friendly product which is lightweight and ticks all the boxes for our family who’ll be using it when travelling. The kids will get to view their favourite movies when/if internet is not available so iPads can be spared. They can relax with this DVD player, handy remote in hand and enjoy. The picture quality looks excellent too.
My husband bought this portable DVD player so that he can watch DVDs in another room from the main TV. It is ideal for the purpose and will remove the irritation he suffers when I doze whilst watching my choice of recordings rather than his. We have a good collection of DVDs which have been badly neglected. The sound and screen size are excellent.
An excellent independent DVD which has a wonderfully clear image. The remote allow the user to adjust the audio and image to suit the preference of the viewer. The screen size ensures easy viewing of high quality. The ability to view DVDs and listen to CDs is excellent. The only consideration is the need to power to a mains so for outside is limited.

This product was purchased for a guy I look after who has special needs. After setting it up for him I explained how to switch on/off etc. He soon picked up the instructions and was smiling from ear to ear because he could operate it himself. He’s so pleased with it and loves the large screen.

The picture quality for old and new DVDs is great. The volume has plenty of lea way for loud music or quiet for dramas. I usually use earphones and they work well with this unit. I am not techy and I don’t have a TV but have managed to do what I want with this player. If anything I would of liked it to be lighter but the size of screen was what I wanted most. I am very pleased with this DVD player.

Very impressed with portable DVD player. Easy to set up. The picture quality is very good. We used this for our art dvd showing the natural colours is quite important. The remote is very handy and easy to use. It came with AC adaptor for the TV. It’s about the size of a laptop which is good as I need room to do my art work while watching the dvd.

Great portable DVD. I bought this system whilst in lockdown to play exercise DVD’s. It is excellent as can move to any free room in house and position on floor or unit and as it has adjustable screen perfect in every way. Easy to operate and fully charged battery keeps charged, especially if you switch it off on the side whilst not in use. Have also used it outside and intend to take it away on holiday.
Purchased as a gift for my son. He loves it. Good picture quality, good sound. We have found the volume seems lower/quieter when headphones are used. Machine overall is quiet when in used.

Upon receipt, our remote control was broken. As soon as I raised this to the company a new one was sent immediately. The service was excellent.
As for the quality of the remote control, it feels quite flimsy. Sometimes you have to press the buttons a number of times before it ‘connects’ to the technology. It definitely not as robust as a TV remote control.
Well it’s summed up in the headline – so many of these devices have tiny screens of low quality but this one is great. Have been umming and ahhing over getting one for years as I really do hate viewing films or recorded TV on a laptop – they are too heavy, get hot, the fan whirrs, email alerts constantly distract etc. etc. So this is ideal – plus – and it’s a really big plus for me, who has 100s of TV recorded DVDs – it seems to cope with most formats, and the picture aspect ratio and input is entirely adjustable – it takes some fiddling about, but once you know your way around it you’ll never cut off the edges of the image again. I also have some films as MP4s on memory sticks and although I’ve yet to try this have confidence that it will work as everything else does. Sound is really good stereo – picture quality is great – big enough to give you a good sense of the film or TV director’s art – don’t you just hate watching movies on a phone? – you can sit on your sofa or bed in perfect peace and really get immersed in what you’re watching without getting a sore hand or lap, as it is light enough not to bother you for hours. Kids taken over the TV? Wife watching hours of cookery or reruns of The Crown? Treat yourself to this and and escape to the den for a couple of hours and the relaxing de-stress experience of watching, say, your favorite 80’s horror movie without tutting or other distracting noises off will turn you into a more lovable person. I can absolutely guarantee that this is true. So, this review is being written from a very particular perspective, I’m very well aware, but guys, it is actually called BOIFUN, so I’m pretty sure that you’ll all know what I’m talking about here. It’s great. 100 well spent.

This DVD player fits the job perfectly. The purchase and delivery was very good, as was the price. The controls are easy to understand and use as is the remote. Both the picture and audio quality is excellent, with a good range on the audio.
I’ve only used for DVD’s so far and not connected to tv other or used other media, but I don’t expect any problems with what I’ve seen/used to date.

Good picture quality, a large screen for a portable DVD player, overall the size of a decent laptop, I use it watching on my lap thus making the remote obsolete, only thing that would improve this is blue tooth ability, I had to buy a Bluetooth transmitter to plug into ear port so I could use my wireless headphones

Great for watching movies on the go
This DVD player is solidly built and is easy to set up once you’ve read the manual. The most important thing to do is press the little switch on the side to power up the player. This gives you green ‘on’ light which allows you to use the remote control. Make sure the remote is pointed directly at the green light or it won’t always pick up the signal. The sound is pretty good and get very loud at the top volume. Must be plugged in via power adaptor, no batteries needed.

I managed to damage the remote and enquired about purchasing a replacement. 10 minutes later “Jack” contacted me to say that they would send me one as a replacement, not only that but he kept me updated every step of the way. Prompt delivery (ordered 24 Nov, delivered 27 Nov) and very well packaged for the post. I wanted a lightweight portable DVD player with a good-sized screen and this machine fits the bill very well indeed. Very pleased with the ease of set-up using the straightforward-to-follow manual and controls. Have yet to explore all the facilities of the machine, but when playing a DVD, my main reason for the purchase, the sound and picture quality are really good, with the bonus of being able to restart from where I left off. With the battery, when fully charged, giving up to 6 hours playing time, suits my needs very well. More aspects to try out but so far, so very good.

Good product, which does what is claimed for it in Amazon information provided. Swift and efficient delivery. It has proved reliable and efficient; it is easily portable, and attractive in appearance. It is far superior to my previous DVD player, which could be temperamental and unpredictable. Support service for the Boifun player is excellent: I recently lost my AC Adapter, and was able immediately to order a replacement easily and without fuss, helped by courteous and responsive staff.
I was so pleased with this product that this is the 2nd I have purchased. The 1st was a gift for an elderly relative and he and I were so pleased that I decided to invest too! I have many DVD’s which I would like to play but do not have permanent space for a DVD player and this product is the ideal solution. I have three DVD players but this is the best and I am delighted. The screen is large enough not to compress the screen and the sound quality is better than any I have used before. I found the booklet a little more complicated than it needed to be. Not a lot of the noticeable background noise I have encountered in other players. For the price, after ordering it was further reduced, it was an absolute bargain. However, I really think I need to mention this, it is not a small thing. I thought this was better but if it was to be used in the back of a car for children it may be just that too big. But this is a personal thing.
I’m so pleased with this product. The screen is much bigger and clearer than I had anticipated and I just can’t believe how thin it is, taking into account the quality of the picture. My previous portable player was much smaller and thicker and also didn’t hold a charge for very long. I watched hours of content on this player before needing to recharge. Excellent battery life.

This is what I was looking for. It is of good quality, very light and easy to move around. The picture quality is so good. I charged the player for 8 hours as recommended and it is up and running. The audio is excellent.

Bought this DVD player to use in our Campervan. It arrived well packaged and very quickly, earlier than expected. Have tried playing a DVD and found the picture and sound quality excellent. Put a CD in and it played straight away without having to switch modes. Really pleased with the extra cables supplied to link to a TV or charge from a car lighter. So far can’t find any cons only lots of pros!
Took me some time to adjust the screen settings, but then realised it was the DVD.

I bought this for my husband as he wanted a bigger screen to watch DVD on. The item arrived within 24 hours and he had it set up and running very quickly. He said it was a lovely machine and very easy to use. He loves the HD screen and that you can move the screen around and you can use a usb and memory card. He is very pleased with his purchase and would recommend it to everyone.
I bought this player because I wanted a portable one. there are several reasons why I wanted it, I’ll give you a couple:
it will be very useful in a power cut, which are becoming more regular here. I can also take it outside on a warm day, or take it out to friends who do not have any kind of dvd equipment, I can also use it in the bedroom when I am having a lazy day. I hope this will be useful to you.

Wanted a portable dvd player with a large screen that wasn’t going to cost the earth. Good value dvd player, only downside was it wasnt compatible with a USB Bluetooth transmitter I purchased to use with wireless headphones but apart from that very happy.
Lightweight and very easy controlls also picture quality is excellent. Would recommend this dvd player as the price is outstanding.
I ordered this for my friend. I phoned her for her review and in her own words she says it is ” Brilliant” ” and is over the moon with it .Shes very pleased with the screen size, picture colour and sound quality It was easy to set up and play. She hasn’t use the remote control as being 75 years old finds the numbers / letters a little on the small size, which is to be expected with a portable system. But it doesn’t stop her once again saying it is “Brilliant”
Only criticism is the AV connection. Used a quality cable link, but the sound quality and volume is not as good as it could be. I use it mainly as a standalone device, so this isn’t such a big deal and certainly not a deal breaker.

Cons: the sound quality is acceptable, loud enough but not very clear. You have to switch a button to power from the main or the battery. The buttons are made of cheap plastic and a bit clunky but work fine.
Much bigger than what I used to have, this DVD/CD player is great. A good and decent large quality of screen, quite light weight all together and easy to use. The speakers are ok and deliver what is needed for the price of this device. However for a better sound headphones are needed, especially for music.
I would definitely recommend this player.
This was bought as a birthday gift for my partner. He loves it.It arrived well packaged.The case is of very good quality. The screen is a really good size.The picture quality is good,with natural colours.The sound quality is surprising good,and loud enough even on a low volume setting. We played a cd and were pleased with the clear sound.I can’t say yet how long the battery lasts,but my partner used it last night for three and a half hours and has been using it for about an hour today so hopefully it will last six hours. I would highly recommend this. I am so pleased I chose it.
I bought this DVD player to take on a camping trip. I wanted something lightweight but good quality. I am really pleased with it. The picture quality is excellent, it is simple to use and I’ve used it at home and in the campervan. The service was quick and I received it within the timescale indicated. A very happy customer.
The screen size is excellent, the picture and sound quality are both excellent – and it plays multi region DVDs. It comes with it’s own charger/adapter, a separate lead that fits in a car, a USB cable and a remote control. I have not come to grips with all of it’s many functions yet – it only arrived this morning – but I am delighted with it and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a portable DVD player. Added bonus – the user manual has clear and easy to follow step by step instructions.
Edited to add – I am still intrigued and delighted with this lovely machine. Have used it in the Craft Room to play
audio books while I am designing, have used it in the bedroom to watch late night DVDs, and have used it in the garage to listen to CDs while tidying up. It performs all those functions perfectly and the battery stays charged for hours.

Remote control —-
Battery closure at the back of remote control broke and therefore is of no use, any chance I could have the remote control replace please.?
The DVD player is working fine, but controls are difficult because of broken remote control.
My two children love this to use in the car; it’s big so they get a better experience and the sound quality is better than the last two DVD players they had. It’s as thin as light as the smaller ones so easy for them to handle. Love teh full swirl the screen can do. I hope it lasts longer than the last ones we had (two years).
Bought this big screen DVD player for my wife. She was very happy with the picture, screen and the overall operation of the player. After a about a month we did have a problem in that it stopped charging and working while connected to the mains. I referred back to the seller. They replied within 24 hours and asked me to check something which would tell them whether it was the charger or unit. It turned out to be the charger which they replaced immediately. All correspondence was answered within 24 hours and the charger received within a week – I was also able to track its progress. Probably the best customer service I have encountered.
Great size of screen. I love that the cd is placed into the middle of the machine, no need to worry about damaging anything by putting it in the side. Very easy to use. The remote has a lot of buttons on it, but the machine itself doesn’t so it’s quite straight forward. The machine is fairly light which is excellent. Oh and the packaging is excellent!
So much better than small which actually was buffering. Thought it was my dvd’s but no thank goodness.
Amazing size screen really makes it seem like a small TV. With various set up controls you can adjust the picture to your preference for perfect viewing pleasure this is also helped with the swivel screen. The sound and volume is excellent for a portable DVD player and the fact that you can attach external speakers makes it seem you are in a small cinema. Once fully charged you can play 2 movies no problem but you can play movies with the charger plugged in if necessary. Region free means I can play my movies from around the World. Supplied with a car charger and 3-in-1 Av cable, makes it a very versatile machine. It was well packaged and delivered quickly. Although I have only had the player for a week, my first impressions are of an excellent machine for the price.
A great portable DVD player with excellent dvd playback quality and sound to suit. Would highly recommend if looking for a good size but still portable DVD player.
Amazing product – although by far the biggest portable DVD player, it isn’t really heavy which makes it easily portable. The rotating screen is a great feature. Really surprised by the excellent picture quality – am so pleased I went for this and not one of the smaller ones as we can use it as a DVD player in the house too.
This is an absolute great bit of kit the HD and quality Of sound is the best I have had many portable DVD players but I have to say that this is by far the best one it is perfect for my needs ,it’s a lot of machine for the price so if you are going to get one then this is it cannot fault it .
I would definitely recommend this DVD player to everyone. I am very pleased with it and in particular like the size of the screen and the picture quality.

I was looking for a portable dvd player to enable me to practice pilates whilst the classes are closed. This is a brilliant machine, easy to use with a lovely bright and large screen. I am not very good with technology but I had no problem in getting to grips with the controls. I would recommend this player to anyone.

Excellent piece of kit. Large clear screen that can be positioned exactly how you want, and has it’s own remote too. Easy to operate, great value for money. Arrived really fast and well packaged to prevent any damage.
