Now that I work from home full-time, I bought this monitor to extend my screen space, I just use it to display data on various spreadsheets and it works perfectly, although it can display video fine too.

It obviously isn’t as high resolution as some of the latest monitors, but I don’t need them to be. This monitor is an affordable choice if you need multiple screens and are on a budget.

Overall, this monitor offers excellent value for money, works perfect for what I need it for.

I recently bought this monitor because I was building a pc and needed a monitor to go along with it. I have not had nor used it for very long but so far it meets my needs and expectations. I like the size and the screen as it is appropriate for my table. Useful for doing my coding stuff and watching videos. This makes my grad life much easier.
Overall I really recommend this monitor for beginner gamers and people who are looking for a great monitor but not super big.

This is a great little monitor which sits perfectly on my small 80cm wide desk along with my laptop. With small space, i needed a compact monitor to compliment my small laptop screen so it doesn’t cover the entire desk area. This one is perfect. Plus it doesn’t break the bank. The picture quality is great considering the amount paid. I am only using HDMI port and that works flawlessly. Really pleased with it.

To those who replied to my question about it not having a remote or the ability to add an IR receiver. I did turn it into a TV and it’s great – I love it. I use a new Amazon Fire Stick then connected a bluetooth sound bar, or you can use an Amazon Echo device or a Google Home Hub as bluetooth speakers, these work wonderfully and have brilliant bass and sound quality. You connect the bluetooth speakers via the Amazon Fire Stick settings and then this controls the volume on the remote. Personally I like the screen resolution and quality, for my needs as a secondary small TV. The only thing the remote can’t do is turn the monitor off but when it’s in sleep mode which it automatically goes into when not being used the screen is black. The lite glow from the black screen I quite enjoy as a very soft night light which helps me to get to my commode in the night as I’m disabled and bedridden most of the time. I use the app Tivimate which you have to download seperately from outside the app store, then load my subscribed package and I have all live TV channels just like a normal TV.

I turned mine into a small TV

I bought this monitor to use with our CCTV security system; not as an alternative to our phones, but additional to. I found it very easy to set up; basically attached the monitor to the stand, plug into your device, and adjust the picture quality, and volume to suit, if necessary.
The stand hold the monitor steady, and allows for the screen to be tilted; the mains plug goes in and immediately switches the screen on, and then the HDMI cable attaches to the camera; or for testing purposes, I have attached mine to the Blu-ray player, as seen in the photos. The picture quality and colour are actually very good; my photos don’t do it justice. The monitor also has to back speakers, so adding to a TV box, or even a laptop would work perfectly; at 17″ however, I would think it was a little small for a desk top computer. I know my grandson has the same model in his bedroom, for gaming, which again I believe, is very good on this monitor, because of the instant reaction time.
The lightweight build, and overall look, picture clarity and sound, all indicate that this is a very well build, and technically sound unit, at a very good price. It has been installed and working 24/7 for the last week without any problems, so would be happy to recommend this monitor to you.

    Excellent quality, good price

Only thing I dislike is that at acute angle it doesn’t show the picture well. Used it as a cctv monito

I've used as a monitor for my cctv system it's very good so fa

We needed a small monitor for our 4 channel CCTV camera system vat work. We didn’t want to shell out a lot of money for an expensive monitor just for the video feed so this cheaper monitor was ideal. It serves our needs perfectly. The monitor has acceptable resolution and we are happy with its quality. Specifications of it are 1280×1024 resolution, 1000:1 contrast with 4:3 aspect ratio.

The Thinlerain 17″ monitor is a perfect solution for my home CCTV system. I had a system installed around the home and wanted to be able to see a live feed from the system in my office. I managed to get an HDMI repeated to transmit the signal from the CCTV box straight to the monitor and it works brilliantly.

Price is fair, design is nice and quality is good. The compact size of the screen is perfect for my needs and I love the fact it has built in speakers for replaying footage. Overall happy at the price point.

I would say it’s well made, even the plastic bits are made of quality material, apparently durable and made to last.

The picture quality is sufficient for my use: 1280×1024 resolution, 1000:1 contrast, and 4:3 aspect ratio. I would say it has everything ass a quality monitor. My daughter uses it as a laptop extension and simply brilliant.

It comes with a stand, very stable. It can be wall-mounted hence could be very suitable as a safety monitor. I’m planning a home safety system and this could be a great candidate – not too big an too small.

Remember it’s of 17” size, no very big hence may not be suitable for your main PC monitor.

A good quality monitor. Easy to assemble by simply attaching the stand. Once attached it stands sturdy. I use it as a second monitor sat alongside my laptop. It has VGA and HDMI ports and even includes speakers which are built-in. For those on a budget this is a good choice.

    Good quality

Just the right size, I have been thinking about it for a long time, and I bought the display I wanted for a long time at this price. All of them are good. If there is a remote control or it can be more convenient to adjust the settings, it will be more perfect.

    Not bad

The sound can be a bit “tinny” but if you’re just using the built in speaker for background music they’re good enough. Screen resolution and clearness is great for documentation and work usage. These have been a great addition to my home office
