Well built and good sound but did not exactly wow me. Sound is clear. The microphone is mediocre. The worst thing about the headphones is that it goes to either max or min volume immediately although I only pressed one. This happens with different USB C to Audio Jack adapter, including the original Apple adapter. However, the sound is quite enjoyable. Memory foam almost springs back immediately unlike some of the other ones that I have encountered which will remain compressed for a slightly longer time.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter a few BT ear buds which are not really good, I went back to my 3.5mm soundmagic E10s (6 years old) and thought long and hard about a 3.5mm upgrade. Saw these and after reading reviews took the plunge.

The box is a nice thought with lots of ear tips. The clip is not easy to use so I use my Soundmagic one.

First impressions. The cable length (for me) is a touch too long and not very substantial in thickness. The E10s cable is way meatier.

Anyway this doesn’t detract from the sound. Put simply these blow BT ear buds away (I’ve had Enacfire, SoundPeats and AirPods Pro).

I play music via Deezer Hifi (FLAC – 16-bit 1,411 kbps) using a Pixel 4A (decent enough DAC) and first off is the sheer quality of these ear phones. There is no need to adjust the graphic equaliser (which on Android is hopeless anyway). The sound is lovely. Wide soundstage and separation. Miles better than BT ear phones. The only downside (and it is probably the Pixel) is they struggle to drive these ear phones so if you like music AC/DC loud then a pixel 4a is not for you. But anything else I’d check online for reviews.

With the recent price reduction these should be on your shortlist.

Absolutely outstanding! I use Tidal for my music and needed some earphones capable to output the quality of lossless sound, I’ve had trouble finding a decent adapter with 32bit output but not a single fault with the earphones at all, very very impressed. If only they did adapters as most phones don’t have an aux input now 🙁

The mid range isn’t weak or drowned by bass. The finish of the metal housing feels thin though. Though the cables feel springy. I wouldn’t mind if they made it detachable like the shure. When compared with the sony mdr-xb75ap, it feels like a sound filter was removed. It sounds so much better. It sounds similar to the beyerdynamic dt 770 pro.
The packaging is high class and reflects overall quality of the product. The metallised logos and wire clip are welcome addition. These are very stylish ergonomically designed to fit well in ears of all shapes and sizes. The provided rubbers are very soft and comfortable, a few sizes are provided to suit small to large in ear canals. The sound is the best bit. It is rich and loud. The bass is excellent and the highs and mids are all well balanced making for a lovely soundstage. I listen to smooth jazz and immediately appreciated the quality of these buds. For the price/build quality/sound, these can’t be beaten. We’ll done 1More! Furthermore, found these very comfortable for long usage

Very good sound quality (not as good as some quad drivers but at the price it’s excellent).
Cables are tough and don’t tangle much. The earbuds fit well and stay in my ears (so some passive noise cancellation).

At the price I’d highly recommend these.

I have owned both the 1more triple driver in ear version and over ear and i had high expectations for these quad drivers and i must confess, these… ohh man did they blast those expectations to oblivion. The sound is so rich and detailed, the base clean and punchy. I am not an audiophile by far, so other people with more experience and finer tastes than mine might disagree but these beat clean many other larger brands that are much more expensive. If you go with these you can’t go wrong.

I am quite hard on headphones. I looked specifically for a pair that sold itself as being quite tough. I cycle to work 12 miles each way and use these in all weathers and have for nearly two years now. They still work! The buttons didn’t last that long but the amount of expensive and cheap headphones that just don’t last very long with heavy use and exposure to sweat and water, well I’ve been through a few sets before finding these. Actually considering buying another set soon on the basis of how long they’ve lasted.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve nothing, after a month, almost, of using these guys, but positive things to say about ’em ; the sound is just plain amazing, incredibly accurate, full, complete, and on and on. Every time I get a chance to use them, I smile; they’re fairly easy to fit in the ears, just don’t try it backwards, they won’t fit right. They’re really comfortable and I can wear them for hours with no discomfort. As I go through a lot of the music I’ve come to listen to (I’m 70), every time I listen to a tune I’ve not heard for a while, be it a year or 10 yrs., I still simply cannot believe how GOOD of a sound these little things put out. It doesn’t take much to feed ’em, as they’re very sensitive.
There’s a great way to tell if your speakers/phones/buds have good bass response – Peter Gabriel’s song “In your eyes” from the Secret World Live tour. Find it on YouTube, start it playing and at the 59-second mark, you’ll hear a definite bass thump start, and continue. I tried some of my older phones/buds, and quite a few passed over the one-minute thump, and I heard nothing. With the 1Mores, it came through beautifully. Not too heavy, or too light, but just right, to me. Remember, no matter what anyone says, how a speaker, or phones sound, it’s totally subjective; it’s all in the ear of the listener – what sounds good to me may not to you, what Bill says about a Brooks and Dunn song, Herb disagrees, and on and on, etc. BUT….you won’t go wrong with a pair of these, no sir! When it’s a real pleasure listening to ANYTHING, that’s what quality is about. If you can afford these, and they’re not that expensive (I got mine for $96.00 thru Amazon new and used dept. They were in brand new condition on arrival. Just because the box had a scratch on it, I saved damb near $40.00. So if you’re in the market, look no further; my subjective opinion of these is: They’re Great! I’ve never heard better. Incredibel bass response and musical quality. Otay, ’nuff sedd. Bioman out.

U’ll Love it ! :)) Peace

Needed some new buds after I beat the brakes off my 3 yo Sennheiser CX’s and was ready for something on the higher end as I use them for not only music but phone calls and gaming as well. I was REALLY hesitant to go with a brand I’ve never once heard of but after reading some reviews on several websites I decided on these.

I’m not disappointed in the slightest and after listening for a few hours to several different genres with them, I’m very surprised at how clear, rich, and spacious the sound is. I’m hearing things that I should’ve been hearing all along and things I’m not supposed to be compared with other pairs. Distortion being the main thing – there’s none of that “hear”. If you’re a numpty who favors listening to their music at high volumes like me sometimes, you’ll appreciate the clarity and lack of distortion at these 40 watt club volumes. NO harshness either. If anything, I’ve been able to lower the volume and still bathe my brain in the audible sauce that these headphones emit.

“Fully balanced and ultra-realistic soundstage” would be an understatement IMO. If you have sound quality issues with these buds, you must have some pretty wack audio files. I don’t have the highest of quality files but then you really shouldn’t have to with these babies. The headphones, and even the packaging, are very well designed. A weighty, high quality feel yet comfortably secure in the ear because ergonomic design and 9 pairs of tips. No stress on the ear canal like most earbuds I’ve had in the past. Some of the most comfortable actually. I can’t speak to the usability whilst participating in strenuous activity because I’ve done no such thing for quite some time but I’m sure they’ll be fine so long as you aren’t swimming laps or practicing krav maga moves. 9/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersForget buying cheaper earbuds like the 1More triple driver or those $25 earbuds which you may think are “good enough,” because, like me, you will constantly wish they had better highs, clearer sound, deeper bass, etc., etc. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY THESE QUAD DRIVER 1More earbuds FIRST. Yes, they are expensive but worth every penny. They are that good. My speakers are KEF LS-50Ws and the 1More Quad earbuds are just as satisfying as my KEFs. The Quad driver midrange is just as delightful (vocals are to die for) as the 1More Triple drivers I bought first (my mistake, but now I know). But unlike the Triple drivers, the Quad drivers have accurate and extended highs and accurate and deep lows that the Triple drivers are not even close to.

So, I am no longer searching for that better sounding earbud…the 1More Quad drivers are perfect. I can listen all day and NEVER think to myself, “I need to find a better sounding earbud.”

I’ve had these for six months and each time I listen via my Dragon Fly Red and Tidal HiFi /MQA on my iPhone, I’m thrilled no matter what genre—jazz, rock, folk, classical, new MQA recordings—everything sounds delicious. Skip all others and just get these without hesitation. They are that good!!

Oh yes, they MUST be broken in to eliminate the sibilant “s”s on vocals. I connected to my iPad and played vocals on a loop at mid to hi volume non stop for three days. Then they were perfect.

Brilliant sound quality. Really loud, crisp and unbelievably clear.
Don’t think they are supposed to be noise cancelling but they still cut out a good deal of outside sound.
Only negative for me is built in volume control buttons, they are quite temperamental and there’s a delay between pressing and actually working. Not a great deal breaker for me though, still recommend.

  13. Anonymous says:

The bass and lower mid sound excellent but for me the higher mid sounds a little distorted and there seems to be some slight sibilants at the top end when in listening to high notes. Good value at the price I paid 110

This is first set of new earphones I’ve purchased in 15-years, I decided to “splurge” on these well-reviewed 1More Quad Driver. Despite the cost of these earphones, I’m extremely pleased with the build and sound reproduction quality of these earphones. Rather than using them with a mobile device, I primarily use to watch TV late at night. The comfort of these earphones combined with the sound quality allows me to forget that I’m wearing them. When watching movies, I noticed that the sound effects are crisp, clear, rich and detailed. I’m not sure if this attributable to four quad drivers, the THX certification or a combination of both. I woud HIGHLY recommend purchasing these earphones.

The sound quality is outstanding with crystal clear treble and good bass. I found that the 3.5mm jack to my IPhone was causing interference and non- functioning in line volume control. I suspected the cheap adapter was the issue. I ordered a genuine adapter direct from Apple and problem solved. It is really important to choose the correct ear bud size as the buds need to fit into the ear properly otherwise the sound quality is lessened. The best in ear phones I have ever used and best value for quality.

I had already been using the 1More Triple-Driver earbuds previously and loved the clarity of the sound and solid bass, but I really wanted to give the Quad-Drivers a try. Normally one of the first things I do when I get new headphones is start messing with equalizer settings in my music player to try to make up for weak frequencies and bump the bass up a bit, but I actually found that the Quad-Drivers sounded pretty much perfect with even a flat EQ, with powerful bass, sharp and clear highs, and perfectly clear mids and vocals. In the end, I only ended up adjusting the EQ to add some extra highs and bass (technically over-boosted, but that’s how I like it)

    Overall Pros:
Excellent and well balanced sound, with some extra attention to bass.
Quad drivers means you can hear many different sounds at once without distortion, great for noisy or active songs.
Comes with all the accessories you could need: several sizes of both plastic and foam tips, airline adaptor, solid carrying case, and a lapel clip to keep the cord in place when you’re moving a lot.

    Overall Cons:
If I had to nitpick, the part of the earbud that goes into your ear is so big that even with the right tips, it might feel a bit uncomfortable at first.

I was really looking forward to receive this product. Unfortunately, either is not compatible with an Dell/Alienware Area-51m laptop or the right channel is defective. The right channel does not work. Tried with my iPhone as well as my wife’s and the same, right channel off; tried it with another laptop and same…

Product is packaged beautifully in a durable sturdy box, product is built with very high craftsmanship, beautiful carrying case, extra ear pieces of different sizes, an airline’s connector and a larger connector – unfortunate and sad. I have had a same style V-Moda since 2005 and still works! Just wanted to upgrade and listen to better sound since I am retired and listen to music all the time.

Product returned via UPS on Friday, July 3, 2020 – sad.

    UPDATE: JULY 14, 2020

Have been in contact with 1More via email and must say their Customer Care/Service is simply outstanding. Provided Amazon’s order# and all details and, 1More, after confirming) sent me me via USPS 2nd day service a replacement brand new Quad Driver earphone! I simply was amazed by their care and support. For this type of simply outstanding support, upgraded the rating from 1-star to 4-stars. The brand new replacement sent works beautifully, just hoped to have a much deeper bass sound. This 1More Quad Driver ear-phone is remarkably built. It excels in craftsmanship.

Will update in the future as I listen to more musics and analyze its sound levels.

I’m not an audiophile but I have used a couple of hi-res stuff in past 1) tfz secret garden which costed 15000 and 2) sony xm-2 headphones which were to around 17k in offers

Compared to the tfz secret garden which for me is my golden standard with very high bass, silky smooth trebles and clear vocals 1more is nothing less , I love the addition of microphone which is simply amazing, always clearly audible to the other caller

    Bass:- high 9.5/10
    Vocals:- 9/10
Treble:- silky smooth 10/10 , it’s perfect and not irritatingly high, u can hear all the instruments
    Microphone:-10/10
Comfort :- for me it’s 9/10 , it always stays in ur ears when u r sitting or standing no matter what, but when sleeping and listening it might be tricky to hold it in position, maybe it’s for my ears , u have around 8 pairs of adjustable eartips .

Durability :- 10/10 the cable is strong and earmodules seem very strongly built. The carrying case is small and handy , it’s very strong and durable.
It’s amazing for 9999, u can go for it.

The sound quality increases after constant burning of the drivers. After 3-4 days of prolonged use and proper tuning of Equalizer I was amazed by the sound quality

I had them for 3 years before the wire at the audio jack end broke, as in the wires inside broke and only the left channel was working. I was very satisfied with the sound quality, the bass, mid was perfect, very pronounced, clear and powerful (head shakingly good), the highs were good but could be more crisp, I used an equaliser to fix that though. I used heavily for everywhere I go, walking, riding my motorcycle and general use. They stayed in my helmet well, the noise cancellation/seal was very good, which was why it was almost a must for me whilst riding my motorcycle on the motorway, let alone being able to clearly hear the music in that loud environment. They withstanded a lot of abuse, thousands of hours of music playback. Would highly recommend especially as the price has lowered since I bought it.

1.5 years into ownership now so I can give a good review. I absolutely love the quality of these buds. You can really appreciate the nuances of music you’re listening to and the sound isolation is pretty good. They send along with it a good panel of rubber ear inserts to fit any ear size and I like the box (leather, good for traveling) they send with it. My only gripe with the output sound is that the bass is a little weaker than I would like (listening to a lot of rap and heavy metal).

On the other hand, I specifically chose this model as it has a microphone, and the microphone is unfortunately awful. It has 0 sound isolation. My conversation partners often report hearing a lot more background noises than my voice. This is not an inherent flaw in all earbud microphones as I had a pair of beats earbuds for a while before and never a complaint, so buyer beware.

I am very impressed with this product as well as the customer service they provide. Would definitely recommend.

These earphones sounded good to very good with the tips that came with the earphones. I read some review advising to use these with Comply Comfort Ts-600 tips. I was reluctant to pay for such expensive tips initially but this turned out to be a very worthwhile purchase. The Comply tips take the sound quality up but about 30%. The earphones sound amazing, deliver clear and crisp sound through the mids and uppers and a well-balanced level of bass. Extremely durable too. The wire is a little bit unwieldy. Would have been useful if 1more included some sort of a clip to help manage the long Kevlar cable.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been listening to these IEMs using my iFi xDSD DAC and Tidal FLAC/MQA via USB on Windows or my OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren.

I’ll start off by saying these IEMs are very well built and feel very high quality. My only complaint in regards to their build would be how the I had to try almost all of the ear tips to find one I felt was reasonable.

One thing to note, it seems that over the last couple weeks of listening either my ears have gotten used to their sound or they seem to have broken in a bit. When I first started listening to them, I did not really enjoy them so much – this was entirely due to the voices in my music sounding slightly distant or muffled. That being said, I really enjoy them now.

    For the sound:

First off, the soundstage these IEMs present is shockingly wide.

You can hear the placement of every single instrument and voice. This led me to discover so many details in the music that I had not been noticing before! On an album like The Head and The Heart’s self titled album, I was suddenly able to discern the individual voices within the harmonies much easier than I had ever been able to before. It’s like one voice was in front of me and one was slightly to the left, etc.

El Camino by the Black Keys was simply incredible. With excellent channel separation and beautiful soundstage with the guitars being presented all around you.

All of the tracks on Cleopatra by The Lumineers had a warmth and detail that made the hairs on my arms stand on end. You can hear the white noise, squeaks from the piano bench, piano keys being struck, it’s simply amazing

Second, the clarity, detail, and accuracy of sound reproduction is very, very good. I’m not sure how else to describe it, it just sounds clean.

If you listen to a lot of EDM or hip hop, though, these headphones probably aren’t for you due to their lack of low end response. I have still enjoyed plenty of both, however.

There’s definitely a big improvement over my single balanced armature driver Sony earphones, much bigger soundstage with more clarity. Bruce Springsteen’s Streets of Philadelphia is one such example, there’s subtle background vocals that I definitely can’t hear on my Sony earphones but these pick them up no problem.
Though it’s now definitely clear that I need to replace all of my mp3 audio tracks with uncompressed flac versions and Sony’s own music app ruins the quality (no idea how) on my Xperia XZ3 unlike vlc media player. Only slight concern is that my phone itself does struggle a bit to drive these due to the high 32 ohm impedance meaning I’m almost at full volume in order to listen comfortably to some tracks. May have to look at a DAC unit to boost the volume.
Overall these are well worth the money for the build and audio quality.

Great set of ear buds. If you like acoustic guitar, voices, piano etc. then these will be perfect for you. If all you like is bass then look elsewhere. There is next to nothing in the bass register but what is there is good and tight and not flubby. As another reviewer mentioned, you need to find the right sized silicone or foam pads to make them fit your ears perfectly or the sound quality is awful. When you get the right pads the sound quality is excellent.

A thing to note is that these ear buds are very large and quite heavy. I wear them in the house when I am sitting in a chair or lying down in bed. I suspect they would wobble a lot or drop out if you used them when exercising our walking quickly outside the house. But for my purposes they are perfect except they lack a tiny bit of bass for me, even though I’m not a fan of heavy bass.

Sound quality is good. Good details from the armatures in the trebles. Some details lacking in the mids, probably due to the dynamic driver being responsible for both bass and mids. Slight V shaped response and fun to listen to. Noise isolation could be better (I use silicone tips); my Shures isolated much better. Some noise from the wires rubbing against my cloths when I’m walking which is mildly annoying. Build quality is amazing.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI diddnt give my 1more buds a 5 on noise cancellation only because it’s not built in.its just how well you have them in your ears. But with the 45 degree design there great
Now as for the sound. I have 3 other pair of wired ear buds that range from 200 to 500 dollars. These 1 more blows them all away. They sound Beautifull with very detailed music and they have the punch needed for rock. Not extremely brassy for hip hop but I’m not a bass person. These 1 more quad earbuds are the best sounding earbuds I’ve ever heard. They even give 800 dollar earphone cans a run for there money. They are built like a tank not plasticy at all. And the wire.is Kevlar I beleave very tough and won’t tangle. Ya I made up that word. But I know there not cheap but after listining to these I’d pay 400 for this sound. The phone I had diddnt have a dac in it so I bought a audio quest red dragon fly its 32 bit and.a little smaller than a box lighter. So the phone and fax fits very easy in my pocket. As for the difference that I loved before the sac was even more amazing with the compressed files behind uncompressed by the sac plus the volume doubled. Unreal it’s great. Now I’ve bought a new cell phone it’s an I phone v35. There’s a v40 same thing basicly. It has a built in saber 32 bit sac with volume booster an EQ. The I more quad earbuds and the iPhone v35 are made for each other. It’s like being in a live concert
Well just buy the earbuds you won’t regret it. Give them a listen with a system with a dac. Most newhome sterios have them. Enjoy. Update 4/25/21 well I’ve had these earbuds for a couple years now since s 2019. The one more quad here buds have held up great. I only had one problem with them and I’ll post that issue at the end of my post. The cords held up well nothing has loosened on them the only thing I’ve replaced is the phone earbud covers I still consider them the best earbuds I’ve ever heard for their price I’ve never had to go and test a $500 pair of earbuds or a $1,000 pair of earbuds due to the fact that these sounds so well. There online app that you can get at Google Play has an EQ and some other adjustments in it for your listening if you need to adjust because we all hear differentl. OK now for the problem that I had with them after 2 years I noticed a couple days ago that the middle button that’s on the control switches on your right earbud it’s on The wire made out of metal it’s very tough I never thought to be a problem with it. Well I noticed the middle button is gone. It’s the button that pauses your music and is used to answer your phone and to hang up your phone calls. I have cheated these earbuds with kid gloves I’m always kept them in their case never in a pocket full of junk actually I never carry them in my pocket I’ll leave them around my neck with the clip clip to my shirt. I don’t know how the button fell out it’s so well made. I called Amazon to see if there’s a warranty on it and the name of the company I bought them from. Unfortunately the warranty I’d run out and the supplier was no longer in business. But Amazon still replace them for free they charged me a small restocking fee of $10 and sent me a brand new pair still in the box never been open absolutely brand new. I can’t complain about that I thank for your kind generosity Amazon. I give kudos to Amazon they’ve always treated me right I bought a lot of things through them to the years I’m a prime member I’m all prime member on their music app also. And Amazon will always go out of their way to make you happy. So that’s my update I can’t really complain much I don’t know how the little knob came out I’ve looked at it and it seems impossible for it to come out maybe it was threaded in I don’t know I don’t see the threads but it’s a very sturdy metal unit. I had a pair of bose and that same part of their earbuds that does the controls for the volume and answering the phone and all it completely fell apart after about a year and not a lot of use the center cover for the controller came off and you cannot get it back on it’s a little rubber cover it’s all made out of rubber I tried everything and for $170 you think it would be made a little better. But even Amazon worked with me on that and sent me a new pair again Amazon is amazing I thank them again. Well goodbye everyone stay healthy and help to make this world a better place there’s no room for hate.

The reason I purchased these earbuds is because I lost my 1More Triple Driver Earbuds. I was a big fan of these earphones and looked forward to see if the 4 driver buds could match and exceed these. In a word – yes, they did.

I did not burn in the triple driver buds but thought I would perform this lenghty process in the hope that it would squeeze out everything these buds could offer. Beware, it takes a lot of time but i think it may be warranted. Without having an ‘unburned in’ pair to compare them to I can only say it did not hurt them. I downloaded the 1More Assistant app and let it do its thing.

The burn in process consists of 4 stages. Stage 1 and stage 2 take 11 hours each. Stage 3 is 72 hours and stage 4 is 24 hours. As you can imagine this takes more tha a week. Once it was completed I was able to get to my music.

I started with the first track of the Renaissance ‘Scheherazade’ album: Trip to the Fair. The piano intro sounded so natural with all of its big, bold keystrokes. It seemed as if I was in the studio with them. But then Anne Haslem came in with her angelic voice. As much as I love her sound I could almost ‘see’ her track being overlaid onto the instrumental track that introduced her. I never heard that before and honestly, it sort of disturbed me. Keep in mind I was listening with my phone which meant the files were MP3. I later used the included attachment that allows you to plug the earbud mini jacks into a normal jack. Now I was able to plug into my Marantz SR7010 AVR. I played the CD for this album and the ‘over laid’ effect did not appear. Her vocal track sounded completely natural. Was this the earbuds unflinching reproduction of what it was being asked to reproduce? In other words — garbage in, garbage out. I do not hold this against the earbuds.

Next, to see how the buds handled base I turned to Paolo Nutini’ Caustic Love’ album which starts with the amazing song “Scream”. This allowed the buds to show their range by letting the drivers open up with a driving base line. I never heard this MP3 track sound better.

Finally, I turned to Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante on Philips records featuring Sir Colin Davis and the London Symphony Orchestra. I wanted to see how the buds would handle the demands of an orchestra. The orchestra sounded quite natural and he leading violin and viola sounded unstrained or colored.

I do not know if the extensive burn-in process is responsible, or simply the amazing build quality of these earbuds. What I can say is that they not only matched the sound of the 3- driver buds I lost but have up the ante to a level that far exceeds their price point. You would be hard put to find a set of earbuds that perform at this level for even $100.00 more. What a bargin!!!

These sounds clearer and crisper than a lot of high end headphones I have tried at a fraction of the price.
They sound balanced, the highs are never sharp, the mids and bass are more detailed than anything else I’ve tried.
Using the foam ear tips blocks out the world for a fully immersive experience and all the materials used in them feel very durable and premium.
You get high sound quality in such a small practical package.

    Would strongly recommend

I love these headphones. I’ve had them for about 6mths and they are still working perfectly. They sound amazing compared to nearly every other mid/high priced headphone I have ever used – B&O, Bowers and Wilkins, RHA, Beats, Nocs. Beautifully warm but clear bass, great highs without them ever becoming harsh and real mids often lacking in earbuds. What’s more they are still working – I treat earbuds pretty hard and often experience cable failures and loose connections. These have a really solid construction, excellent cable, robust remote and an overall bulletproof feel. One of the most frustrating things I experience with ear-buds is ear-tips that fall off too easily – these are really good – I’ve only lost 1 in 6 mths.
The only negatives – they scuff quite easily – call it patina? The foam ear tips always chew up/crumble after a few days – this is the same for all makes and why comply sells subscriptions to theirs! I can’t find anywhere that sells the brand’s replacement ear-tips – 3rd party ones will never fit as well in my mind.

Buy without hesitation if you still like a wire!!

I run. I like it loud! I don’t care if I hurt my ears. So when I search for reviews for top 10 earbuds for 2019 that are loud, with bass, and find ones to buy, and buy them, I want them to be loud!!! I had some Zagg buds that I bought from the 90s that were great but they finally stopped working, hence the recent purchases from Amazon. I liked Flossy’s Youtube videos and ordered two on his list for Bluetooth earbuds, then ordered two more (not Bluetooth, have wires) from reviews claiming they are the loudest. The top four are the ones I purchases that are NOT loud

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo this is my 2nd pair of quad drivers and I absolutely love it!

These earphones are robust! They have stellar audio and build quality.

My first pair left side IEM lost its sound after that 2 storey drop from my balcony.
    (Right side still works)

I have dropped my old pair for more than I can remember and even dropped these guys in soup. To be honest, these are my go to IEMs when I’m not using my Shure846s(my most coveted IEMs) in my sound room.

I literally thrash them on-the-go and take them to the gym.

Looks like the newer pair I just got today has build improvements. I noticed red stoppers on the wires connecting the IEM housings which prevent wiring play compared to my first pairs which had play / “weak spot” of the already durable housing.
(Newer ones have better durability and most likely would not have this problem)

    My take on the audio:

    Bass and Lows:
very deep and very well defined bass which is not overpowering/drowns out the highs. They are punchy but not to a point where it causes ear fatigue although you can still enjoy the quad drivers even if you are a bass head. As far as my hearing goes, the box states 20hz lowest but I can attest that these can go lower to 15hz. (More noticeable after the burn-in which takes less than 4 weeks of listening). EDM lovers can enjoy the quad drivers while the acoustic classic rock, and disco listeners will definitely enjoy the fullness of the bass guitar and drums.

    Mids:
More pronounced with intense background instrumentals in alternative rock and RnB genres / audio recordings having a mid heavy EQ mix tend to drown out the highs and give a “small computer speaker” effect in some occasions. The Mids are generally balanced in classical music but shine in alternative rock.

In my opinion, if you prefer a more V shaped/bass and high preset like me(despite the V triple BA + dynamic driver config), you can simply solve this issue by just balancing out the mids with a Dolby Atmos EQ enabler (I use android so I use a third party app by Tamil Basak: Xplayer 3D to make them sound close to my Shure846s)

    Highs:
The highs shine with unparalleled crispness.
We can only hear up to 20,000hz but knowing that it can reach 40,000hz gives me assurance that you get the “full” listening spectrum and maximize your listening experience(My dog should just have my Quad drivers at this point).
You get that feeling that you aren’t missing out on any high tone sounds.

Guitar lead solos, high hats, vocals, trumpets, violins and other stringed instruments are very defined and the high notes can definitely be enjoyed in genres such as classic, acoustic, rock, pop and edm.
Highs are defined but it’s overall brightness does not compete with the lows and mids; It complements them.
Those high vocal notes in your fave songs would send shivers down your spine.

    Sibilance:
On higher quality 320kbps mp3 files or Flac, I personally don’t hear high notes mixing or cutting off.
Quad driver IEMs Does not cause fatigue to ears at all provided you don’t blast the volume.

The S’s from the singers are very gentle on the ears as if they were whispering. (Airy Shhh sounds)

    Soundstage:
Surprisingly wide, you can definitely tell where all the singers and instruments are placed in the recording room. It is spacious, fine, and accurate.

Water dripping, tambourine sounds, and alternating arpeggios can be discerned in different areas of the sound stage.

    Noise canceling:
Does not have NC but upgrading to memory foam tips like Comply or RIYO 12 pair memory foam tips (these tips have better fit and outlast Comply without the price) should insulate yourself from majority of the outside background noise.

    Notes:
-Be ready to hear Audio Imperfections or poorly mixed audio recordings
    (a plus in my opinion)
-you are tempted to mess with the EQ a lot if you listen to multiple genres
-I reduced the gain A LOT which allowed me to increase the intensity of the mids, and highs alongside the bass boost without sacrificing my ears to any added brightness
-included my EQ preset as a little reference

    Conclusion:

Overall sound signature is well balanced and these earphones knock out the lows and highs with ease!
These can take bass boost and treble boost with no problem as I have my bass maxed out and 18% treble boost using a Dolby Atmos EQ enabler.

These will need DACs to bring out the full potential.

    **EARPHONE CARE**
    DO NOT DROP THESE EARPHONES!
They significantly lower the life span of the Balanced Armatures and delicate wiring

    DO NOT BRING INTO SAUNAS

PREVENT LEFT AND RIGHT IEMS from banging into each other (this will increase the life span)

Hope you find my review helpful!
Might end up getting a third pair in the future. 🙂

Got it for $100 during an after Christmas sale for Prime members and is totally worth it. If it was $200, I would shop around and try other earbuds in that range, but this still could be worth it to you. Nice selection of foam and rubber earbuds. While they’re a bit heavy, I’m happy running in them. Note I’m a casual runner and not sure if they’d survive a lot of sweat and/or water. Sound is clear and vibrant, but needs the bass manually turned up if you’re into bass-heavy music.

NOTE: USB-C dongle users, I highly recommend getting the HIDIZS Portable Headphone Amplifier Type C USB DAC Headphone Amp (Mark II). It made a massive sound improvement over the 2nd gen Google Pixel dongle. At around $30, I’d say it’s mandatory if you’re buying these earbuds to use with an usb-c phone.

I’ve done a bit if research, and took a punt with these rather than my favorites Bose…
They arrived in a very grand case with plenty of bud options, not only size but materials too. So you have the perfect fit.
I had read a lot of reviews on other top end in ear earphones saying to get the best and to drive them you need a portable DAC amp…. I didn’t get one as thought I’d try without first…. Glad I didn’t waste my money, as when I put them in and switched on I was instantly aware of the all encompassing sound straight away! From high tone to the lowest of base tones they handle it all, giving a very true unfussed about with sound that would befit a very expensive pair! I love them, and have resigned my old Bose pair to the gym set!

    Do you like sound?!

Perfect!! Because these badboys produce the heck out of it!!!

Great sound across the whole heckin band.

How’s the packaging?! It was like Christmas!! But then you’ll be super sad like “oh #$&+ it’s not Christmas”

Holy ?/@! These would make a killer Christmas present…..

How many ear buds tips does it come with?

Like alot, I can’t remember exactly and the box is all the way across the room but it’s alot. You’ll find a size in there that works.

The foam created the best sound for me instead of the rubber.

    ………the rubber didn’t feel very good…..

The cable is sturdy but not like detachable, which I’m actually all for because what if your out and about and it accidentally detaches and falls down a sewer?

Like what the &+(# am I gonna do short of having a ninja turtle toss that thing up like “oh hey man cowabunga”

Also I never used to think much about edibles but yeah man, I get it……for sure I get it.

I purchased my quad driver headphones over a year ago and use them everyday. I do not put them in the case, I just carry them in my laptop bag, gym bag, pocket, etc and I have never had a problem with them. The sound is AMAZING! You cannot buy a better sounding pair of in-ear phones for the price (or any price for that matter – these should cost $200+). Not sure why so many comments on here are negative, as my experience has been nothing but positive. The cable is thin and it does tangle easily (that is my only very very minor complaint), but there is zero interference/noise and the build quality is outstanding. The quad driver headphones are heavy, in a very good way. You can tell just by holding them they are built very solid and range is fantastic.

I travel very often for work and managed to lose all of the 13mm tips (they can fall off from shoving them into my pockets during airplane boarding/de-boarding etc.) and 1More sent me another pair free of charge. (BTW you get every single size tips imaginable with your headphones). Also, unlike other multi-driver headphones I have tried, these fit extremely comfortable in your ears due to the angled tip design that allows the speaker to sit snugly inside your ear without the drivers impeding. You can listen to these for hours without any discomfort and with the correct size tips the noise cancellation is fantastic (and the bass is insane)!

If these ever do break, I’m buying another pair that same day.

If you have the means to spend ~$125 on headphones, just buy the quad drivers from 1More.

Golden Review Award: 57 From Our UsersI have used Sennheiser over-the-ear headphones for over 20 years. I’ve owned many different kinds and nothing gives me as good sound as my Senn’s, whether it’s the 570s, 580s, 600s, or 650s, I’ve enjoyed them all and liked them far better than any other brand. So when it came to buying a pair of in-ear headphones I originally went with Sennheiser. I chose the HD1’s, around 100 bucks, because I just wanted to use them to listen to music at work where I can’t have sound escaping out of my over the ear open design ones. I got them, though, and just wasn’t that thrilled with the sound. The bass was very weak and tinny and the overall soundscape just wasn’t what I was used to. I didn’t expect as good of sound as compared to my 3x the price over the ears, but I still expected more than I got. So I looked around and did some research and found these. I decided to try them, and despite costing ~40 bucks more than the Sennheisers, these are a far better value. First is the presentation and what you get. It comes in a beautiful box that contains the headphones, a formed leather carrying case, 8 different sizes of earbuds, a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter, a shirt clip, and a few other things. The build quality seems excellent as well, although I’ve only had these for a day so far. I’ve spent a few hours listening to all different kinds of music on them and they are wonderful! Nice deep bass, crisp highs, clear mid-range. I am thoroughly impressed with these, they sound almost as good as my HD650’s. If anyone is looking at entering into the beginning of the higher end of headphones and need an in-ear pair definitely give these a try. You will not be disappointed.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersDid a lot of research online before buying these and decided to buy them due to favourable reviews.
These earphones are very high quality and the sound is excellent, it is important to note that in order to get the best out of these you must ensure that you put the correct size bud tips so that you get a good seal in the ear, this makes a huge difference and could be why some people have not given 5 star reviews.
These have a great dynamic sound range and with the correct equaliser settings on your phone or computer they are amazing and do not distort at high volume.
The build quality is premium and they are also very comfortable even with long periods of use.
I can only say one negative thing about these and that is there is no cable management, so they often get a bit tangled when you put them back into the beautifully made carrying case and then take them out again but it only takes a minute or so to fiddle with them to sort that out and doesn’t warrant deducting a star from the review.
Very happy indeed and would highly recommend them.

I bought these to listen music from my smartphone.

I went for quad driver option primarily because of build quality concern. No way I’ll buy a replacement (any soon, at least). They do appear durable but everything is so thin and small – I still feel some care should be taken. The pre-installed buds are fine: tight, but not too much. The wire length is quite excessive: I have to have it bundled. The clothes clip is very small and tough, hardly useable.

I tried them with lossless CD quality and Hi-Res Audio recordings. Not most representative, perhaps. Nor many yet. I am not a sound expert and I don’t have much equipment to compare against. With that said, the sound quality is impressively clean/crisp regarding higher frequencies but the bass seems not really up to those (not as impressive, even when boosted). I am not a bass fanatic though.

The control unit does work with an Android (8) smartphone (volume, start/stop/answer/cancel/next/previous). The microphone caused no complaints from a caller but my voice was recorded quite quiet (yet clear enough) compared to the caller’s.

I like premium packaging. The carry box seems real leather (I’m not an expert though). I don’t really like the whoring red. Blue would be perfect for me and even (neutral) black would be better.

Incredible! It’s impossible to explain how good these are without writing paragraphs. They have the most detailed sound staging, highs and mids, and also perfect lows and a good amount of bass all of which happily handles a bit of equalization! Incredible, I can literally hear things I never knew were there as before they were mushed and blended together in the frequencies and super distant. You can really feel the musics emotions and tell each instrument apart. What it says on the box couldn’t be more accurate! It really is like 4 speakers which excellent isolation and emmerson. Super happy, highly recommend! Hoping they last forever! xD

Golden Review Award: 199 From Our UsersI just bought these Quad drivers from 1More based on the quite exceptional reviews (Please Google “1More Quad driver earphones reviews”) for these earbuds. At $149 they are right up there in price with the Sennheiser, Beats, Bowers & Wilkins and Bose that lead the market. I had researched the 1More “Triples” and the “Quads” quite thoroughly before going with a brand that I was not familiar with. The “Triples” are, by all accounts, less expensive and just as good in their price bracket and I almost bought them based on PCMags recommendation this year. Since I was not phased at $149 for the Quads I decided to go with their flagship device. So here’s the impression after just a day of use.
Quality – wow – from the packaging to the look and feel of the components, everything oozes “first class”. Think Apple packaging and design. The metal buds are machined to tight tolerances and the dark-bronze metal parts all look and feel like they will last. The whole ensemble is a little weightier than the typical plastic parts you’ll find from other well-known brands, but not disturbing once in your ear. The heft makes them feel somehow more worthy and tangibly well-made. These are built to a substantial design and manufacturing quality standard. The right-angle connector for the phone end is also metal and includes a strain relief on the first 1/2″ of cable that runs towards the buds. There’s nothing plasticky about these except the nice non-sticky cable itself with the metal in-built remote on the right side, and the foam cushions.
The earphones arrived in a very high-end looking (and feeling) hard case. Inside the box was an machined metal and logo’d airline adaptor for those twin-pin entertainment ports in armrests as well a a full size 6.3mm amplifier connector (1/4″) that snaps cleanly into the standard 3.5mm connector. Also included was a pocket sized hard-shell carrying case for the earphones and an array of small to XL sized silicon and foam rubber cushions to optimize ear seal from 14mm down to 10mm. Although I have quite large ears, I found that the small 10mm foam seals allowed me to secure the L/R ear speakers snugly and with maximum seal. Not having the buds securely placed will leak the bass range out. Having them sit properly provides the precise opposite. Pick your favorite track and be prepared to inhale at any volume. These things can drive. At normal listening volumes thus placed there is little sound leakage. At about 85db, the upper limit for me on earbuds, there is the likelihood of other people’s awareness of music leaking out at about 6′, but it’s faint to the people around me I asked and not disturbing. At more subdued levels, there is little evidence of the music you are playin to the outside world. I will try them in the gym tomorrow but already feel these are secure enough for my routine of cross-trainer and weights.
I have only made a couple of calls on them so far, but the sound quality is clean and clear with good sound isolation. The remote hangs up cleanly and when playing music controls volume (but not as I expected fwd/reverse on tracks). On the phone calls I asked if the other party could hear cleanly and without distortion and two reports out of two said the received audio quality was excellent. My end of the line was perfect. So much for the right-side in line mic. No complaint there.
Playing music! These plug into my iPhone XS with the official white Apple dongle/DAC to start (the usual “lightning to 3.5mm jack adaptor). Then I played music with two different portable DAC set ups- a Dragonfly Red and my iFi Nano Black before adding the 6.3mm connector to try on my home amp (Peachtree Audio Nova 300 with its own very sophisticated internal DAC). And while it might not be a totally fair comparison to match these 1More earbuds at $149 to my 4x to 5x more expensive headphones (Sennheiser HD700 open back and Oppo-PM-3 planar magnetic closed back), the 1More earbuds stayed with it – I would say effortlessly – across a variety of my favorite listening tracks.
I played Talking Heads “Speaking in Tongues” to kick off. Then Muddy Waters “Folk Singer” and Miles Davis “Kind of Blue” all in FLAC/MQA format (hi-res audio files). Frankly, with the Dragonfly Red in line and a high quality source, these earbuds are about the best sounding in-ear speakers I have ever owned. But even playing Apple Music at 256kbs, the sound was brighter, more detailed and warmer than any other buds that I have tried in this price bracket. I have Rebecca Pidgeon’s version of “Spanish Harlem” in FLAC and in iTunes and listened to both. Should I confess that the Apple version was pretty darned good and Im not sure I would be able separate it from the hi-res edition in a blind test? Bear in mind, I used an external DAC with my phone to listen to all the tracks. The DragonFly Red does a great job presenting even relatively lo-res files in this set up but even with the Apple Dongle (about $10 from Apple) things were very very good.
The bass is an area that won’t disappoint. I doubt this is a flat EQ tuned set up, but if you like to feel the pace and punch off a good kick-drum, these bring it on in spades. I’m not a metal fan but listening to some simple old reggae (Burning Spear, “Marcus Garvey” and “Dry & Heavy”) bass is swinging, tight and punchy with no boom or muddiness. Voices across the mids stand out with a real sound-stage of their own – even without the BS2B filter I use on headphones (this is an EQ setting within the music app (like Vox) that cleverly meshes the sound output with some fancy filters/algorithms to compensate for overly Left-Right channel separation that is more evident in headphones listening to music mixed by the sound-engineers to play on speakers). This is where the company’s bragged about sound-engineer consulting looks like it has paid off. Muddy Waters remastered “Folk Singer” album jumps out, sliding on a 6-string, hand slapping the wood and the singer’s breaths and grunts clearly evident with the full range of string vibration spanning highs to lows without any stress. Talking Heads classic remastered album (from 1984 originally, bought then on CD now playing MQA) driving and swinging with synth drum and regular electric bass and David Byrne’s crazy vocals as real and cuckoo as we love him to be. Miles’ trumpet, even the high notes, never shrill or piercing. Nice roll-off at the upper reaches testifying to an excellent frequency response well beyond my ears all the while letting snare and upright bass occupy their own distinct place in the sound-stage. The overall impression is neither 3D nor plain L-R …maybe above the head or a little forward…no mean feat when listening to music that may have been recorded on a four track or an eight track.
I cannot think of any real downside to these earbuds, especially at this price. For this sound quality in regular headphones you might expect to pay at least twice a much. I’ve paid much more for much less. So these are going everywhere with me and when I can’t be bothered to hook up the big cans will not be subjected to the torture that cheap earbuds inflict on music, especially the 256 kbs variety. These earbuds WILL show up poor quality recordings or lossy files. If that’s a beef, stick with lo-resolution cans. (Just joking, who wants that?). If you like detail, taught low-end bass, detailed and warm-forward mids and treble then buy these with confidence. I gave my old Beats (similar price) to my daughter before buying these and have owned the Bose and Sennheiser earbuds prior to these. 1More is the new king. And is not even that close at this price point. I am not a paid reviewer and not connected to the company – or any audio firm – , just a serious music lover with audiophile tastes in equipment – even if I can’t afford it. I rarely post reviews of this length and am doing this one because these guys have earned the accolades. Cheap sound is like bad wine. Why bother at all? This is a set of earphones you will enjoy without reservation.

Unbelievable price-quality. Best earbuds I've owned (EVER)

Bass is a bit boomy,Not well defined to my ear’s Soundstage be could be wider.Mid’s are the high point of these in ear’s .Has a good amount of detail at price point.Treble sparkle’s.I find them non fatigueing as long you do not turn them up fully At this point I’d like to mention I am using a Cyrus Soundkey Dac amp DO NOT USE AT FULL VOLUME IF YOU DON’T WANT TO DAMAGE YOUR HEARING. All in all a good headphone, but not at the 200.00 i paid for it,more like a 100.00-120.00.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBuild Quality: I love the premium finish. The cable, suprisingly, does not tangle a lot. Even if it does, it’s very easy to untangle.

Sound quality: I am using a samsung galaxy S9+ and have still not been able to find the best setup to get the most out of the earphones. I do believe there is potential as I have never been a big fan of Samsung’s audio output. Clarity in all frequency ranges is amazing, the only thing I am having trouble with is the volume for frequency range between the mids and the base is a little low. I am still tweaking the settings trying to get the best match. It might be due to the high impedence which my phone cannot power effectively.

I think they are worth the price. sound quality is amazing especially if you have high quality audio stream.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI previously used Bang & Olufsen’s Beoplay H3 ANC with my Astell & Kern AK Jr. When the time to came replace them, I tried the new Beoplay H5 wireless model, but the dropouts and inconsistent performance rendered it a non-starter. Although reviews and financial common-sense suggested that 1More’s highly-rated Triple Driver earbuds were a better value than their Quad Driver model, I couldn’t help myself and decided to replace my B&O H3’s with 1More’s Quad unit. While I had no complaints in terms of sound quality when using the B&O H3, the 1More Quad Driver is not only sleek with a solid build, but the sound quality is spectacular and a significant cut above the B&O H3’s or, for that matter, any other earbuds that I’ve owned. I don’t think you can go wrong with 1More, whether you’re financially prudent and choose the Triple Driver model or break open the piggy bank and purchase the Quad Driver. I just can’t say enough about 1More’s impressive appearance, the firm fit of earbuds (which exhibit a unique combination of materials), and a sound quality that defies even the highest expectations, as well as the practical limitations imposed by the size of earbuds.

Golden Review Award: 64 From Our UsersI’ve read a lot of the reviews here from the plain dumb one word comments through to the full-blown essays, and it is clear that opinion is divided. I think the principal cause of these differences is due to the adequacy of the seal provided by the tips. The negative comments – like listening underwater, lack of bass, etc – shriek out that the reviewer has an inadequate seal. I can replicate most of the problems cited in negative reviews simply by putting the wrong size tips on the ‘phones. In my case, none of the tips provided out of the box gave the optimum seal, and I fell back on my trusty standby, Comply Comfort (hard to get the model I needed in the UK, but the USA site will ship to the UK via Amazon).

Once set up, the sound from these ‘phones is magnificent. Every superlative of praise offered in positive reviews is accurate. If I have to quibble, vocals on some productions are slightly repressed, but not seriously. The soundstage is good for in ear ‘phones, but not as wide as for over-ear models.

As for durability, I cannot judge as I have not had them very long. However, they seem sturdy enough, but if you have gorilla fingers and don’t look after things, these ‘phones might be fragile, like many other models.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had been researching in ear buds for some time. I came across this company purely by chance. When my package arrived and I opened it you could see quality. Then trying out I was blown away by quality of sound these little gems produce. When the bass kicks in you can feel the music everywhere. Some might say they are on the pricey side. To me you pay for quality. These are with out a quality personified. I highly recommend these babies.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersReally excellent in ear head phones, the sound is incredibly full and detailed. Orchestral stuff is amazing. I bought them with a Dragonfly Red DAC and i have to say, that they sound so good, it is barely noticeable when used without the DAC. I really enjoy listening to music and have a high end system at home ( MBL) and wanted something for travel. These really fit the bill. Build quality looks excellent, however i am concerned by by some of the comments below, and that has stopped me buying a second pair until i have had these a few months.

I will update this comment in a few months if i have any problems.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had the quad drivers for a few months now. These things, when driven with a high quality source (they need serious ooomoh). I use an ak70 mk2 and it’s a spectacular duo. They sound fantastic. In every way. I have many higher priced headphones and earphones and I find myself reaching for these over any. Just buy them and try them and love them

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI compare the Quad Driver In-Ear Headphones to the Triple in the “Update” below.

    Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones
    1. The sound is best when you get a good seal using the proper sized silicon tips.

    2. The digital lightning earbuds have a very natural, balanced and crystal clear sound. Due to the superior digital connection and the advanced triple driver hardware (They sound even better than the Bose QC35 II Blutooth Headphones).

    3. The sound volume for the lightning earbuds is much higher (normal volume is only four bars) than auxiliary earbuds. This is because the digital connection also provides additional power from your mobile device to the earbuds (Like an AMP. Without the need of a separate device or an additional bulky battery design on the earbuds).

    4. They are very comfortable to wear and use for long periods of time.

    5. The earbuds don’t fall out easily when using the proper sized ear tip (the earbuds can also be worn over the ear as well for more active use).

    6. Very portable, compact, light weight and convenient to use (It also comes with a durable leather travel case)

    7. I love the convenient one button joystick controller. It is small and useful to skip, play, pause, adjust volume and activate Siri.

Would I recommend this product? Yes. They are the best earbuds I have ever bought.

    ——— Update: May 14/2018 ———

I ended up also purchasing the 1More Quad Driver In-Ear Headphones and I would like to share my thoughts of how they compare to the Triple Driver Lightning In-Ear Headphones.

    1. The volume range is higher with the lightning headphones than the auxiliary quad driver headphones. However, if you tend to enjoy listening to music at louder volumes. Then the quad drivers are better. Because the high notes are too loud with the triple drivers at higher volumes.

    2. The triple drivers deliver a more accurate, crystal clear and detailed sound than the quads. Because of the lightning (digital) vs auxiliary (analog) connections. Logically, the differences between the the two available options for the triple driver headphones (lightning and auxiliary) should also share the same differences I have found with the quad vs triple lightning.

    3. The quad drivers also have a much stronger and more durable cable than the triple. The only difference in accessories is that the quads also come with an airplane adapter.

    4. Which do I prefer? I think I will be using the quad drivers more. Because the sound is more balanced at louder volumes. I hope that 1More addresses the high note problem in their future lightning models. Because if it weren’t for the high note problem. Then I would prefer the lightning over auxiliary. Due to the more accurate and detailed sound it delivers.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery good looking phones. Stayed securely in my ears at the gym. Choice of soft rubbery or foam tips. I chose the largest soft tips and got a very good, super comfortable seal necessary for best bass performance. Not the greatest sound isolation but okay; maybe the foam tips also included will do better but the soft ones are so comfortable and fit so well that I’m loathe to switch them out. They don’t bother my ears at all. Had trouble putting the new size tip on but then discovered that if I turn the “skirt” inside out, exposing the stem, they are easy to put on.
The first thing I noticed was an overall airiness or spaciousness that I hadn’t expected for the price. Good bass presence without being excessive most of the time, though that can depend on the material. Acoustic bass was tight and detailed (jazz). Midrange was also detailed and I didn’t hear any coloration sufficient to draw negative attention. May seem a bit too restrained or polite for some listeners; depends what you like or are used to. The opening cacophony of clocks, alarms and chimes on Pink Floyd’s “Time” (listened on SACD) were well defined but might be a bit too sharp, if you want to get picky. The chimes had a nice shimmering tranparency. Acoustic piano arpeggios going up and down the full keyboard were seamless, indicating that the drivers and crossovers are well balanced.
Not the most efficient earphones — I had to turn up the volume by about a third compared to my previous phones — but easily enough driven by mobile devices.
The cord tends to curl up but easier to untangle than my previous phones and I noticed less rubbing noise from my chest transferred to the phones than with my previous cord.
I use mine with a music player not smart phone so I can’t comment on the controls or microphone, nor have I owned them long enough to comment on durability.
To sum up, these phones deliver a sonic quality that used to cost at least a hundred dollars more, which is probably why my previous $200 phones are now selling at a hundred dollar discount.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersLoving these phones. I won’t repeat the excellent technical/sound aspects, but I find these easy to wear. Due to the higher component ‘count’ in terms of drivers etc, they are bulkier than some phones I’ve had. However, they stay put [the slightly increased weight- compared to simpler phones do not displace them], the foam ear tips fit me comfortably & perfectly [cutting out external sound to a superb degree]. I love the reinforced wire [Kevlar?] as they are far sturdier/ more resistant to bending or folding that other rubber based wires. The in-line controls are metallic, well built and convenient/easy to use. I find that seating them by ’tilting’ the outside of the phones towards the back of my head engages the ear-tips into the ear-canal.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI was excited about purchasing these considering the rave reviews they were getting all over the internet, but when i saw them on sale for 30% off i went ahead and purchased them. Upon receiving them I was very impressed with the box and packaging they come in. When i removed them from the packaging and finally having them in my hands i was extremely impressed with the build quality of these headphones! The way they are put together and the materials used shouts high quality all the way. What i found odd is that there were many reviews here on amazon stating that their set broke in a matter of months. I was very concerned and contemplating sending them back after reading the reviews but i decided to keep them anyway having my doubts that my set would end up breaking in a short order. Also, it should be noted that i came to realize that the reviews for the quad drivers and the triple drivers are all lumped together on Amazon for some odd reason and upon reading over the reviews it appeared most of the reviews claiming they break easily were for the triples not the quads. This makes sense since the triples were noted to have a poorer build quality so that relieved me and so im keeping my fingers crossed. Really the quad drivers have exceptional build quality so im not too worried about how long they’ll last. My only concern is the part where the cable attatches to the headphones. For 200 dollar headphones they should be able to be removed here and i assumed they did before i received them and upon finding they were fixed i was rather disappointed. As for how they sound… the sound is nothing short of excellent! However it also must be noted that the source and the type of file youre trying to play (data compression) is quite noticeable with these. The first thing i did to try them out of the box was to use the quarter inch adapter included, plug them into my stereo, and put a cd into the cd deck… using this format and source, the highest in terms of quality i assumed at the time, the little iem headphones blew me away! I actually just sat back and listened to music cds all night and kept having to remind myself these were iems not an over the ear headset. BUT when i went to plug them into my phone the following day to just play mp3s or stream music, the sound was not disapointing but the loss in quality could be noticed so if you do get these, dont just plug them into your phone and get on pandora, stick them into a high quality source like a stereo to give them their initial listening!

This is a great pair of IEMs! The 1More Quad Driver Headphones are everything advertised, so far. I originally bought the triple driver version, but had an issue with the left earbud upon initial use.Amazon is terrific for returns, and as I went to re-order, I noticed the quad driver headphones were on sale, so I upgraded. I’m giving 4 stars out of 5 because they need 20+ hours of break-in time. However, some initial observations:

    1. Great packaging, like just about everybody said in the reviews.
    2. I looped the cords around my ears for the gym, like someone suggested in the reviews. Works great!
    3. The Quad Driver in-ear headphones are very neutral, with just a shade towards low-frequency bass. However, unlike the RHA T10i its replacing, a good equalizer app will instantly change bass, mid-range and treble to HOWEVER YOU LIKE IT. That’s perhaps the best thing about these earphones, plus they have no problems reaching high-frequency treble notes without distortion.
    4. Wide sound stage, no matter what music or era you’re listening to.
    5. I’m hearing things in many songs that I had never heard before. Additional emphasis on background instruments which the RHA T10i would never reveal.

2/6/18 – These headphones have really opened up the past few days. Editing the rating to 5 stars. I definitely hear things in my music downloads I hadn’t heard with prior headphone purchases. The Bee Gee’s “More than a Woman” has a Xylophone / electric keyboard riff playing throught the song which I never noticed before – certainly not the xylophone in the first part of the song. Comes in clear as day with these 1More Quads. Fall Out Boy, even with the Apple Lossless file, features a lot of distortion in several of the songs I’ve downloaded which gets very muddled and distorted (no pun intended) with lesser products. Not so with the 1More Quad drivers. “Sugar we’re going down swinging” came in great with only the distortion the artist and engineer meant to include. AC/DC’s “Back in Black”, Journey’s “Wheel in the Sky”, Like another reviewer said, These headphones will bring out both the best and worst of any recording. If your a fan of acoustical guitar or piano music, again, these quad drivers are fantastic for bringing out nuances of music you’ve never noticed.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI must appreciate 1more’s effort in bringing such a wide frequency response in a very balanced way. They cover highs very well. It seems that they have focused all their design efforts in bringing together four drivers to include those highs that others manufacturers are missing. Kudos!

I tried several headphones with netralizing app on and off. I prefer this particular earbuds without neutralisation. They are naturally good.

What I dislike for this much price…
Cable noise. When cable rubbing against shirt they are causing stechscope like noise which is ruining listening experience.

Second thing. Some people liked the ambience they have created. Initially, I thought that they might have reversed some of quad driver’s cables to create fake ambience. I was not able confirm this.

However, I did notice that they sound like you are listen in wider ambience. Problem is that there is no focus in mids and bass when required.

I am feeling like, I am in a crowded concert where sound is coming from lot of speakers.

Even though it has wider frequency response, i felt like that it might not be rendering mixing engineer’s intention faithfully.

Third, lot of loudness but less punch in sound. This might be happening because of multiple driver playing slightly out of sync. It is well known problem in multiple driver speakers. Its called pulse smearing. Pulse smearing really affects tabala and saxophone sound fidelity.

    Why I gave 4 stars ?
Engineering effforts in right direction with near success.

That missing one star is the hope for fixing these issues in future.

I don’t review construction quality and look for earphones, unlesd they are unusable. I just pick decent ones here.

Hope, people share their views. Peace.

Bought these to use with my new iPod 6 and Q1 headphone amp.

Bought some Comply ear pieces directly from Comply but haven’t received them so can’t report on them. The OEM silicon earpieces work just fine in the meantime. The Comly 600 series are for use with these 1more quad driver buds.

I’m no audiophile necessarily but the sound is wonderful. Have never owned a set of quality buds but the depth of sound is amazing for ear buds. Better soundstage than my ATH-M50x headphones… I absolutely love the sound out of these little things. These were bought instead of Westone 40’s which I still want someday but will enjoy my 1more buds very much until then.

These are very nice ear buds, the sound is worth the money in my opinion if they fit your budget. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

    Thanks 1more and Amazon!

    UPDATE : June 17, 2019
Still a very positive experience. Excellent sound quality for the money. Excellent build quality. Only issues experienced was one ear pad damaged. This is with approximately 1- 2 hours of daily use since Oct, 2017.

Would love it if 1More came out with their own version of the lightning to 3mm adapter (that is on their triple drivers). Waiting for wireless version.

    October 17, 2017
Have had these for about two weeks. Sound quality is amazing for the price. Coming from Shure E500’s which are excellent but expensive. The 1More Quad’s are in the same league, very well built and are packaged exquisitely. I was looking for headphones to go with the 3.5mm-less iPhones. I started off with the 1More triple drivers, lighting version which are good, but the quads were on a lighting deal and had to try them. They are significantly better than the triples. The only thing I wish was included was an external lightning to 3.5 mm of the same color / cable – a good quality dac from 1More tuned to their phones would be the ultimate. Comes with a plethora of earphone tips.

    Small items:
    – Earphone tips do not have as good of a seal (at least for me). Shures are excellent for this. I think if the depth of the tip was a little longer (like the Shures) the fit would be much better.
    – the microphone is cylindrical with 90 degree edges – these easily catch on dress shirts. Solved for me by wrapping around the ear, but smooth tapered ends would solve this. This is also true for the Y split device.

The bass is a little more pronounced then the Shures. Overall excellent buy for the money.

I bought these 1more Quads after reading many glowing reviews, but nonetheless sceptical that a less established brand could exceed the performance levels of Etymotic, Beats, RHA and Sennheiser IEM’s which I have owned over the years. I needn’t have worried these earbuds are outstanding in every department. I went for the Quad drivers over the Triples as I read the bass was a little more pronouned (actually the top-end of what I like!) and the higher frequencies a little brighter. I’m not disappointed. Surprisingly though, the real strength of these IEM’s is their mid-range precision. Even listening to tracks on Spotify, albeit at the highest bit rate, the listening experience is warm and bright with exceptional clarity, depth and seperation. The soundstage is what I would expect from premium over-ear headphones, which demonstrates the astonishing straight-out-the-box performance of these IEM’s. My only disappointment is I’m sure the Triple Drivers at half the price would be just as good day-to-day.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersInitially, these were bass heavy when I out them on. Was not impressed. I hooked them up to my headphone amp and LG v20 and let them play for 10 hours straight on mid volume, then listened again. The sound was much more balanced. These are 30ohms so it did not activate high impedance on my V20. I like my music to be bright sounding and the quads seemed to accentuate the bass. I listen to mainly flac files 16 or 24bit and I found that I had to use the eq to get my highs to sound OK. I usually use the Neutron player with Sennheiser HD 598SE but the Quads sound better (not than the sennheisers) using the Jetaudio player with AM3D and Crystalizer vs Neutron. The sound stage is open but not as wide as I’d like, nothing jumped out at me. You can however hear the details in the music. I’d prefer headphones were the mids and highs pop. The bass is present in all music and if you are a bass head, these will suit you fine. I got these for $160 (20% off), so at this price point a very good value. I think these are borderline entry level audiophile headphones due to: professional build, included tips, and the overall sound (after breaking in), which I believe will take longer than 10 hours.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery nice quality all round and a decent sound when you get a good seal. Lots of different sized plugs supplied in the very high quality case (and packaging). This would be 5 stars if I could have found a size that worked for me – but I couldn’t. I have to twist them in to get a seal and after a while of listening my ears were sore.

Give them a very long run in and they will reward with a dynamic balanced detailed and highly musical experience. They outperform my more expensive Shures but I cannot emphasise enough that they will need patience. Excellent value!

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI’ve recently written a review of the Triple Driver earphones and the issue of the failed product has been rectified to my satisfaction. Thank you to 1More’s impressive customer service and a big thumbs up to their customer service rep, Joe, for going above and beyond.
I’ve been using the Quads every day now for about 3 wks; playing a myriad of musical genres but, only music that I normally play and know.
Using my FiiO hi-res audio player and flac music files with the Quads, I’ve played Blues, Rock, Jazz, Folk, Country and their mixed and sub-genres. Overall, the Quads breath new life into my LPs and older CDs and enhances new and remastered albums. I can now usually better make out what the singer is saying and hear what I didn’t even know was there. In other words, the Quads allow you to hear more of what the artist meant to be heard. I wouldn’t be surprised if these earphones were tuned to the remastered versions of the Beatles’ catalog. They sound great. Most of what I listen to sound so much better. Don’t forget, all albums are not created equal. Production varies so widely and some albums, well, are just badly produced. Also remember we each hear and interpret what we hear differently so, don’t hesitate to use your equalizer and the right earphone tips. I use the mid sized foam tips. Overall, very good soundstage/separation, clean lows and no-shrill highs. With my on-board equalizer set to flat response across the board, I found the mid-range to be a bit lacking but, no problem, I just gave a little boost to the mids and these babies sound great. They’re also built quite well. Don’t forget though that if you do have a problem with them, 1More’s customer service is second to none. I do highly recommend the Quads. I love ’em! IMHO, they’re worth twice the price. By the way, if you can’t or won’t spend the money for the Quads, then you can’t go wrong with the Triples at half the price. They too are quite impressive. Oh yeah, the Triples & Quads are the first earphones to be THX certified AND they both top Consumer Reports Stereo Headphone rankings. That’s saying something. Congratulations 1More!

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersWow..just freaking wow. I didn’t know this kind of 3d imaging and soundstage was possible from a IEM. I’m probably considered a “cheap” audiophile, and these even make some of my over-ear cans (598cs, ath-m50x) seem like freebie headphones that come free with a new phone.

I bought a set of the Triples, thought I’d try a set of these at the same time so I could compare – The Triples were defective, had some assembly issues, but the sound was the same so I was A/B switching with them and it’s not even a comparison, AND THEY HAVEN’T EVEN BROKEN IN YET!! – Also, I found the QUADs housing to loook much better, be smaller, and a more comfortable fit (not tips or the inner ear part, but the exterior of the bud itself and how far it would protrude from my ear – I can lay on a pillow wearing these and be reasonably comfortable, but the TRIPLEs are larger and a different angle and I couldn’t lie down with them – Pushed too much into my ear)

Color me impressed – Now they ARE double the price, and to likely 80% of people out there the performanceprice ratio is far sweeter for the Triples, but if you are buying a set to last you for a while, and notice a smile andor tear (cmon guys its ok to admit to happy tears) come across your face when you hear small details you have never heard before in your favorite songs… I think you have your answer.

Listening to some John Williams FLACs – Closing my eyes and I can pick out the placement of individual instruments, and they are all individual, they are not muddled together. I put a side into the Fiance’s ear and asked her to listen at pretty high volumes, and the first thing she said was how surprised she was that it was so loud, but didn’t hurt her ears. My NOTE4 goes fairly loud, and I was surprised when listening critically that the volume was almost all the way up without any distortion or painaches.

ONLY 2 negatives I can say at this point:

-These are pretty accurate – They will bring out the worst in your crappy recordings. Lossless files will be the best, obviously, but I can easily pick out compressed files anything lower than 200ish. 128k/sec MP3 sounds like AM radio haha – But that just goes to show you how all those other headphones are “muddling” details, despite if those details are good or bad.

-The diameter of the headphone that actually sticks into your ear is pretty large – It is fairly painful trying to get the foam tips on. Ended up wrecking the 2 11mm foam tips, which are the only ones I wanted to use, so i’m getting by with the silicone tips – I’m still trying to find the perfect tip, but be wary trying to put any tips on – It’s one hell of a tight fit, and if you aren’t careful (hell I was super careful) you will just rip them up.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersJust got a pair today. Initial impressions: clear, punchy and rhythmic. Bass is a bit tubby, but hopefully that will settle down in time. Mids are detailed and full-bodied. Treble is detailed, but somewhat recessed and lacking airiness (that, too, may settle down over time).

Will update in a few days.

    UPDATE (a):
Have had the 1Mores running for three straight days off another receiver. Getting a good seal with the stock silicone eartips. Listening mostly to 24/192 streams from Amazon Music, but also a few higher resolution files over Foobar. The 1Mores do scale up well with higher res files.

    BASS:
Fairly effusive, but not very resolving in the very low frequencies. Still “tubby” or overly bloomed in the lower midbass band after about 70 hours.

    MIDRANGE:
Forward and just a bit hard/lean and unresolved in the midband.

    TREBLE:
Not the last word in terms of “air” and extension, despite the 40kHz upper bound on the Quad’s specs. More ambient queues coming through. Maybe another 30 hours or so . . .

Overall a “fun” and “engaging” listen, but not something I would label as “audiophile”. The sound signature of these 1More IEMs reminds me of the Oppo PM-3, except leaner, less resolved at the frequency extremes and less well integrated along the frequency spectrum.

    . . . more to come . . . in about 30-40 more hours.

    UPDATE (b):
After 100+ hours of “burn in”, my verdict remains pretty much the same. A fun, engaging listen, but ultimately IMHO not audiophile. The 1More Quads lack that small but necessary degree of frequency extension, seamless frequency integration, resolution and refinement to rightfully earn the title. The cable might be the weakest link in the chain, restraining the best capabilities of the drivers themselves: UPOCC could be the answer. (If 1More tries UPOCC, I would be “1More than willing” to do the a/b comparison and report back any findings.)

Worth the $143 I spent? Well . . . Yes. And a noteworthy set of IEMs to tote along with your favorite portable device.

    UPDATE (c):
Have been listening to Pat Metheny’s “Letter from Home” streamed 24/192 with Emotiva Little Ego dac, USB Disruptor w/DaBig Genius cable. These 1More Quads can sure grow on you, offering a longterm, non-fatiguing and musically satisfying listening experience. Keepers? Yes. : )

    UPDATE (d):
After about 150+ hours the 1More Quads have really opened up and settled down into a detailed, balanced and musical listen. For the price you cannot go wrong for an IEM. Upgraded to 5 stars *****.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersHi,

My never ending search for that IEM with a mid forward sound signature with other frequencies in a spatial soundstage, ended me up on this product. Was really excited to listen to my favorite tracks with this highly praised IEM with whopping four drivers in each unit. After a two day listening, it was a disappointment and I had to return this, thanks to the amazon’s return policy.

Having spent quite sometime into the headphone/earphone space, one thing I realized for sure is, sound is something very subjective and what sounds awesome for me, may be sounding boring or bright for others. So, buying earphones based on user/media reviews is not advisable. One has to listen to the phones oneself to check if the sound is really as per his taste/liking. This is one such great example. If you see the product reviews for this item on amazon.com, it is all 5 star rating by 29 out of 30 people, and 1 person gave 4/5 for some other issue not related to sound signature. In today’s world of online shopping, user reviews have become an indispensable factor for choosing a product. But this does not stand true in case of some products, earphones in particular where sound signature, bass depth, proper fit etc are key factors which vary from person to person. With sites like amazon, where they have a buyer friendly return policy it is still possible to buy and try, considering the fact that many of these products will not be available in offline stores in India. Amazon should be thanked for providing such an opportunity.

OK..coming to these jet engine shaped beauties…these have a fantastic build quality and design. They come in an exorbitant gift box kind of packaging, where the unboxing itself is an experience. Nice set of accessories – a leather carry case, an assortment of ear tips. The cable is strong and tangle resistant. The triple driver from 1more, which is the predecessor of these quads, while appreciated by one and all for it’s sound quality and the value for money at it’s price point, suffered from quality issues in terms of cable breakage at the jack, electric shock (!!) and few other issues related to durability. It seems 1more has fixed the design and quality issues in the quads and these should last for long time.

Now the sound quality. While the sound is so clear and smooth across the audio spectrum, these are specific observations –

    1. Bass is slightly accentuated. The diamond like carbon driver (a dynamic driver) caters the low and mid frequencies. While there is quality and depth in the bass it is a few degrees north of a balanced sound in terms of bass. This gives an impression that 1more had the large mass of bass lovers in mind while tuning these.

    2. The mids/vocals were sounding airy. It is like the instruments taking the center stage with prominent placement and the vocals sounding in the airy space. This was where I was grossly disappointed. While I could appreciate the clarity and separation with which each instrument could be recognized, the vocals were missing that expression of the singer. They were lifeless. They lacked that reproduction of depth in artist’s expressions and were sounding very flat.

    3. As per the website of 1more, all the three balanced armature drivers take care of highs. While two BAs take care of the highs up to 20000hz, the third one is dedicated for those ultra high frequencies beyond the range of audible frequencies of humans, i.e. from 20000hz to 40000hz. While it is supposed to add to the sonic signature of the sound, I somehow felt that the highs were missing that bright expression that is expected of a BA driver, especially when there are 3 BAs to take care of the highs. This makes the sound signature of the quads warm and dark. While warm sound is mostly acceptable for fatigue free listening, they are too dark sounding to me.

    4. The soundstage is rather wide than deep, where you can clearly visualize the sound with the airy vocals in the top space almost in the top of your head (may be due to the distant placement of the dynamic driver) and the prominent instruments sounding in the bottom of the soundstage. Within the instruments again, there is clear separation with bass being boosted slightly and the high strings rolled off.

Tried selling these to myself for a couple of days, by trying different tips and different sources – my FiiO X1, Note4, Soundblaster…but finally I could not buy in the sound of these guys and had to return them. Not sure if I should have given some more time for burn in, but these were not as convincing as the all star reviews suggest.

Few other negatives I noticed –

    1. The bore (nozzle) of the earphones is very big in diameter, infact the biggest I have everseen. For people with small ears it may not fit or cause pain, in spite of the fact that these are not deep inserts. The sheer size of the nozzle may hurt the ears after sometime.

    2. The remote on these quads, while it is smart that it can work with both apple and android alike, is quite heavy having been made up of metal and creates some pulling force on the right ear. You can feel that pull in the ear and that difference of comfort in wearing, between left and right ears.

    3. The cables are not detachable. Most of the time, earphones become non-functional because of cable damage/wear and tear. For anyone who spends good 15000 bucks and fall in love with how these sound, it would be painful to throw these because of cable damage. 1more should have thought of incorporating detachable cable design.

Overall $200/INR15K is substantial ask for an earphone and one would not expect any compromises to be had at this price point. So, you may consider these aspects before buying. Sound signature anyways remains one’s personal preference and one should be safe in purchasing these on sites like amazon, where it is possible to buy and try, rather than buy and cry :-).

Hope that I could give some perspective for someone thinking of these quads. Cheers.
