Much brighter than the one it replaced which was a different brand but higher 30w. We’ll see how long it lasts as I’ve had loads of different ones over the last few years. They only usually last between 18 months and 2 years. Fingers crossed this will be better.

I installed this light over the parking bay after missus complained that it is too dark there in the evenings. It was easy to install and adjust timing / activation lux level.

Nice and bright. Installed it outside my garage. Had to adjust the direction of PIR sensor as it was picking up vehicles/people on the road. Would have been even better if the sensor had its own setting. Exactly what I wanted. Found it easy to install, and I am not an electrician or Diy enthusiast. Will be buying another one soon for the garden.

One of the light fixtures work fine, while the other one is damaged. My electrician was only just able to come out because of his hectic holiday schedule. However I’ll definitely be returning the defective unit.

    5.0 out of 5 stars I’m 50/50

My existing light’s motion detector lens perished and I don’t know if spiders or webs or whatever were making it go on and off all the time for nothing. Bought this one and it’s twice the brightness of the one I replaced

Lovely and bright, but has a habit of comming on when it wants, I needed it as I have to go down steps to get to my front door, it’s dark, this light was set for top step so I could see, one minute it does come on next minute I’m almost down them steps before it decides to come on, but it’s quite sturdy.

It’s brighter than I expected, and the motion sense works perfect. Also had different settings to get desired time the light should stay on, and the desired ambient light by which the sensor kicks in. It’s 101/100 for me. Hoping it stays proper for long though. I’d have bought this for more than double the price and be happy with it still.

I installed these in the front and back of my house. Installation was easy and the light is very bright. It is quite a white light (blue) so you want something with more yellow in it then you should avoid these.

Really good value for money otherwise and definitely worth the purchase.

This is a well built and effective product that mounts using the typical C bracket to the wall. Offering then the adjustment to place the angle of light coverage and sensor detection zone where you want. Nicely waterproof and effective at keeping the elements out of this light. The PIR sensor is itself adjustable so you can put the up to 8m 120 cone of detection to best effect. The on time for the light is also adjustable from 10s to 9mins. The light has an overall depth of 70mm with a corrogated moulded back (annodised/painted Aluminium) which acts as a heat sink for the LEDs. Overall it is a 148mm high by 184mm wide light enclosure (excl the PIR) and it comes with a mains cable that is 1.5m long so you can use a junction box inside the house or ouside as appropiate. The light is superb 6500K white light and very bright 5000Lm. Happy to Highly Recommend, Andrew

Adequate PIR sensor light which comes with a reasonable length cable to allow attaching and cabling into a power supply. The senor worked very well….you need to spend a bit of time setting up the angle and time delay to leave it on.
Depending on where you plan to use it….50 Watt is a happy medium .I have a 100 watt version…and that’s almost like the floodlights at Stamford Bridge…!!

I already have an existing wired security light at the back of the house so adding an additional one was easy .. if you haven’t got an external 240v supply then you may need to call an electrician to fit a junction box.

For me it was easy .. I just took a spur from the existing jct and wired this lamp up and voila! I now have two security lights, one for the garden and one for the side where the bins are kept.

There is about 2m worth of wire already attached so that should be plenty near your power supply or if like me you use a wago jct box its easy. The PIR can be position in the direction of detection for the best scenario for your use ie pointing at a corner waiting for you come around or directly forward into a path to catch passing night cats!!

Seems pretty sturdy in construction and I doubt any water can penetrate the housing since it looks pretty tough.

Very bright light and sensitive motion detector. The power cable was too short for the location (1.5 meters) but I knew that before buying it. An easier way to extend the length of the cable from the light would be helpful.

I was very impressed with the brightness of this PIR floodlight. The best thing about it is that it is LED based instead of halogen based which means that it is far cheaper to run and has no halogen strip bulb which might blow-out repeatedly. It is robustly manufactured of aluminium and toughened glass. It is easy to install, particularly if you are replacing an outdated halogen PIR. It is fixed to the wall by a fairly standard metal bracket which allows the housing to be adjusted through 180 degrees. The cable is 1.5 m long but is easily extended with a bit of extra cable and a waterproof junction box or cable connector. It is easy to set the light sensor and timer to your particular preferences because the instructions are clear and easy to follow.. The sensor itself is very sensitive and has a decent range of about 8 metres. The light is dazzling bright. A fantastic buy.

This is really easy to install, the wire is connected already with 1.5m of cable to feed through the wall and connect inside or use a weatherproof connector box outside.
The brightness is superb, for 50w it is very bright and easily floods the side path and garden entrance. The motion sensor picks up everything well and has always come on. You can change the timer on the back as well to suit the length of time the light is on.

It’s a good build and good value for money.

I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme.
This is a very bright LED light, rated at 50 watts it is more powerful than I was expecting.
Easy enough to fit, it has a standard bracket that fixes with two screws and comes with around a metre and a half of flex.
The amount of time the light stays on is adjustable, as is the sensitivity of the light/dark sensor.
The unit seems well constructed and waterproof.
The light temperature is a cold white (6500K).
Retailing at the time of review (04/11/21) for 26.99, I do note that, from other reviews, the price has risen from 21.00 in a matter of three weeks, which is disappointing: however even at 26.99 it’s not unreasonable for a 50w PIR.

his is a perfect security light for attaching to either a shed or the house. with the additional motion sensor that you can adapt the length of time and sensitivity means that this is very versatile. you can also determine how dark it has to be before it activates. LED bulbs give off the perfect amount of light for even the larger gardens

This is a brilliant PIR operated light. It gives out an amazingly brilliant white light which covers a large area of my front driveway and garden. The sensor is on a rotatable ball socket and the light itself also tilts to selected angles on its bracket, so this gives plenty of options for selection of the area of sensitivity. The time it stays on once triggered, is adjustable and it can be set to operate at night only or night and day.
The really, really big bonus for me over all others of its type is the fact that it comes with a 1.5 metre flex without it being hindered by an on/off switch. The straight run of flex enabled me to fit it to the drilled bracket holes of an existing incandescent PIR light with enough flex to pass the cable, through the garage wall to connect it to a junction indoors where it is dry, doing away with any need to have a waterproof junction box fitted on the outside wall by an electrician. This is the only light of its type that I have seen so far, that has a reasonably decent amount of flex that is long enough for passing through a cavity wall from outside.

    Halogen lights are finished
My 500w halogen outdoor light died ~ the bulb and possibly the PIR
Amazon prime asked me to review a similar fitting but with a 50w array of LEDs
Easy to wire up as before
Easy to fix to the wall
Easy to set up the PIR
So I waited until dark and walked out ~ VERY BRIGHT LIGHT
The PIR worked perfectly and picked me p as a body
The light came on and it was just as bright (or very similar, no side by side comparison)
    The power saving is terrific
    The light is terrific
    THANK YOU AMAZON VINE
I totally recommend this excellent value outdoor light.

This floodlight is great. It is one of the best I have tested to date.

It has been installed now for about a week and has worked flawlessly.

Unlike some others I have tested that have gone faulty or just stopped working completely after only a few days this one is still working which is a great sign.

The build quality of the light feels very high quality and for the price, you couldn’t ask for more.

I truly high-quality product at a great price.

    What more could you want?

Highly recommended to anyone who is in the market.

This review is for the 50W Security Lights with Motion Sensor, Super Bright 5000 Lumen PIR Flood Light, IP65 Waterproof LED Sensor Floodlight Outdoor, 6500K Cool White for Garage Garden Pathway, with 1.5M Wire

21.99 at the time of review.

I used this LED light to replace a very old incandescent tube light that I had on the rear of my house. My original light works well enough, but comparing it to the LED light, I hadn’t realised how yellow the light was. It also didn’t throw very far into the back garden. This LED is bright enough it almost covers my entire back garden which is amazing. It means I can now walk out of my back door and up to my shed which is about 15 metres away in bright light.

The 1.5m of attached cable made it easy to replace the original. The PIR is moveable, as is the light itself, so the PIR can be positioned to almost any desired position you need it to be in — I have it pointed down and away from my back door so. The light is exposed to the elements, so its waterproofing was a real factor in its installation. The light is very strong and really makes a difference.

I am really happy with this security light and give it 5 stars and am more than happy to recommend it.

This security light comes in a nicely branded box inside which the light is lightly wrapped in plastic. You also get a decent English only instruction manual. Like most this has a good fixing bracket which provides a lot of versatility for positioning. This is a bare wire model so you need to know how to fix it to your mains or outside box, or get an electrician to do the job.

Once installed you have some options on what amount of time you want the light on for and whether you want it to come on only at night or anytime 24/7. It may take a bit of tweaking to get the timing right but it’s a simple dial mechanism so easy enough to change it if it’s easily accessible.

It has a brilliant cool white light which certainly lights up any area within 120 degrees of where it’s sited so good enough for basic home gardens and yards. Larger areas might require more than 1 to fully cover them.

Great product at a great price!

I’ve put this on the end of my workshop, having tripped on the steps up to it one too many times.

Installation took maybe half an hour – two screws to attach it to the wall, one hole for the cable to pass through and three wires to connect to the lighting circuit.

The unit has two controls on the back. One controls the time the light stays on for when triggered, and the other the minimum light level at which it will illuminate. I finished the installation at dusk, so I was able to confirm immediately that both controls worked as expected. The minimum time is about a minute, which is plenty of time for me to get to the workshop and unlock.

The light is insanely bright. In fact I’ve ordered a 20W version, as this 50W one is actually so bright it dazzles me on the way up the steps and practically melts the concrete under it! This 50W is easily bright enough for me to work outside. It is like daylight, and really needs to be mounted higher up than I have it now so the spread of light is wider.

The PIR works really well. It’s on a ball joint, so you can move it about. With a couple of minutes of fiddling I got it set up so the light comes on when I’m about three feet from the steps. Perfect. I can see the workshop from where I’m typing now, and it hasn’t triggered spuriously once in the last three hours. You can’t adjust the sensitivity, but it doesn’t seem to need adjusting so far.

Well impressed. 21 for a lamp this bright, that lasts indefinitely and with a built-in PIR that works. Winner. I’ve already ordered more.

Well made and good quality light which comes with a good length of cable which is not always the case for these type of lights. It is easy to install with some basic electrical skill. Just remember to turn off at the mains first. The motion sensor works well. Have put this up in my sisters drive and it works well. It produces a good bright light. Well pleased.
