Bought one years ago for back door, so thought I’d get one for the front door. Very sturdy tried to push door open from outside and it held very well. Good for peace of mind.
I could not recommend this product any more than I am now. It provides such great peace of mind considering I live in a rental property, so I cannot take full charge of security without violating my rental agreement.
This is so easy to install on a daily basis for heading to bed for the night, just slip it under the door handle and boom it’s already set up.
Honestly, if you are looking for something to help secure your home considering these crazy unpredictable times, then look no further.

I thought for the price it would be a little flimsy but it’s not. It’s heavy and solid and gives you that bit of security. I would highly recommend this item. And well worth the money.

Purchased to fit provide added security to my patio door while on a trip abroad.
It took seconds to remove the ‘y’ section and fit in place. It stopped the door from being slid open from outside. Great protection for not much money. Very good product.
Does what you need
Easy to use and seems sturdy. Whether it would withstand a proper kicking I honestly don’t know nor want to find out… That said it does give you peace of mind which is priceless if you’re worried about potential break ins etc.
Works very well
My place was broken into recently and I have been on edge ever since. This goes a long way to helping me sleep at night. This really adds and extra security to the front door, before I got this the only way I was able to sleep was by sliding the entrance hallway wardrobe and placing it in front of the door.
Strong, adjustable and does the job!
The adjustable security bar door brace is fantastic, so much so I purchased a further two. They are so easy to adjust to each door, including patio doors and once in situ are strong. They are good on both wooden and carpet floors and can be removed very easily and stored until needed. Whilst nothing is ever 100% secure, these are an extra level of security to afford some peace of mind. Good for renters if you are unable to fit more permanent security to doors.

works on doors opening inwards and outwards
I bought this with some reservation as I have an outward opening door. Only saw it working on an inwards opening door (which it does work very well with). I am very happy to report that it does work on an outward opening door if it has a lever handle – which mine does. You turn it sideways and jam it under the lever handle itself. I went outside and tried to come through the door and could not push the handle down. I had searched for a long time to find something that worked – just wished they showed it working this way so that others could buy it too. Like it so much I bought another one for my patio doors – again it goes in really easy and nothing is going to get those doors to open – you’d have to smash the patio windows themselves. Brilliant product – can now sleep more soundly at night.

Bought this for our patio door. I was able to set it to the right length and just hook it against the handle and slide the other side down to get it in place. Very easy and helps us feel secure.
Peace of mind
Great product and really does work, couldn’t open the door without maybe trying to break it down. Didn’t fit my front door but use it in my hall, if anyone should happen to get in the front door they certainly wouldn’t get in the next door without making a lot of noise by trying to break the door in! I’d definitely use this if going to a hotel etc as it expands down small can be taken any where. Pleased with purchase and feel safer indoors over night!

Just got it. Don’t have anyone to try it for me yet but tired on door inside and works amazing I think just remeber to “kick it” into place so its tight like someone said before. Also check so the handle is leveld horizontal so the bar doesn’t slip off the handle if someone force open from inside. No expert haven’t had the chance to ask someone to test from outside yet.

A very simple but excellent piece of equipment. East to put into position and holds the door closed that will bar entry on most doors I suspect. That said I have only used it on carpeted floors.

Following a reported spate of burglaries in the area, I bought the door brace to jam a sliding patio door at night and when we go out. It’s impossible to slide the unlocked door open from the outside with this in place. It takes seconds to deploy or remove and stands unnoticed in a corner when not in use. I’m pleased with it.

After having many nights of disturbed sleep due to a family member with dementia I bought this in the hope I could get a decent nights sleep. It’s super simple to use and would work with a variety of doors due to the sliding bar which is adjustable. Combined with my ear plugs it works well. Obviously it will make quite a noise if someone tried to enter which is a hindrance if you want to sleep but ideal to alert you to unwanted intruders if that’s your reason for purchasing.

Really good product has helped put my mind at ease.
My partner suffers from ocd checks due to previous break-ins and this has really helped reduce her checking of the front door. We tried it with the door open and although the door moved abit I could not get in. She locks the door and places this for extra peace of mind and has been sleeping much better. No assembly required, fitted it straight to my bifold doors with a simple length adjustment. Tried getting in through the door and had no chance. Great peace of mind. 2 days later I bought one for the front door as well.
Bon matriel, c’est du costaud et c’est trs bien fini. Sur une chappe en bton, pas de soucis, on pousse au maximun la barre et cela ne bouge pas, par contre sur mon carrelage cela glisse, donc inutilisable !!
J’ai fabriqu une petite platine en mtal de l’ppaisseur du caoutchouc que j’ai fix solidement au sol, la barre est donc en but, donc elle ne glisse plus , du coup j’ai fait une 2eme platine pour le garage au cas o !.

While I live in a building which has a surveillance system and 24/7 concierge, as a woman living on my own I still love having this security bar and using it at night. It gives me peace of mind and help me sleep better.
It is very easy to set up and adjust to fit under the door handle. It looks quite solid and provides a good level of resistance. I recommend.

Just what was needed. Our landlord installed door closures and they are heavy to keep open when trying to get in with walking sticks,shopping or walkers. These work very well. Also can be used as security once door closed.

Used for sliding doors at rear of house. Easy to adjust length and easy to fit. Also easy to remove and re-fit if I need to open the doors.
Found this very easy to use – simple to heighten to match the door handle, and easy to slip into position at night. Gripped foot pad doesn’t slip on carpet or tiled floor, but is still easy enough to kick away when removing the pole in the morning. Haven’t felt the need to try and break the door down from the outside, so can’t comment on how effective it is in preventing entry but it certainly gives a great feeling of added security.

Very good. Using on a sliding french door in a horizontal aspect. The “base” of the bar has a floating pad with grippy rubber underneath, which makes it easy to drop in place. Forked side against the door handle, and with the bar at a gentle angle – almost horizontal – it grips against the frame of the next window unit. Takes seconds.

Unfortunately I couldn’t use as I can’t take the key out of the lock to place the brace without unlocking the door. It was bought to back up a slightly broken lock and mechanism. I will keep incase the key also stops locking as it will be great then. Four stars as it could have worked if slightly longer so I could angle past the key but to wedge it tight it presses the key and has bent it(my fault wasn’t looking ). Seems great and will come in handy I’m sure.
Fitted to back door upvc and it fits snug under handle and few kicks to secure it tight and it’s done, i did try to force door from outside to test and im 18+ stone and it held up fine, door wobbled and although i thought it would give it did not… i did not put all my brute force on for obvious reason not wanting to damage door etc but as extra on top of door locks etc it’s worth it.

Have been looking for an added layer of security to my back door and the Defender Door Brace is a perfect choice. Just place the yoke end snugly under the door handle and gently kick the padded grip into place and then it snaps into place by traction. Great value for the level of security provided, I was surprised at how light the product is however once its fitted provides a very strong and firm level of security. Quickly removed by gently kicking the base away, very happy with the product and would recommend

I have a home office 2 year old just wonders in can’t tell her to stop, so tried wedges but floor is wood so won’t stay, this is so stong I may need a few more for external doors.

Pretty simple really so not a lot to go wrong. It is a very sturdily constructed device, easy to extend and feels very secure in position. When fitting it in place I offer it up and gently ‘kick’ the base to make sure the bar is as firmly positioned as it possible. Removal is a question of gently kicking the base away from the door. I would suggest people consider where the base will be as it will need to be clean and dry and, for example, not on a surface that can move (such as a rug).
