This item is as described, works well looks good, the suction is great battery last long enough for quick cleans but I keep on charge when not in use so it’s always ready to go.
My mum loves it to so guess I will be ordering one for her aswell.
Brilliant hoove
Absolutely loving my new hoover. This is the second AEG cordless I have purchased and this model beats my other one hands down in design, functionality and appearance. It’s permanently plugged in a corner of my kitchen as it looks good to have out on view as opposed to many other makes on the market. Suction is good both on hard floors and carpets and is so much easier to get out than my bagged Miele (which I use for a deeper clean on upstairs carpets. Love the lightness of this appliance and can’t recommend enough.

Well done AEG…this is seriously in a class of its own and compliments must be given to the designers who have really though of everything.
The QX7-ANIM 2 in 1 is a fairly lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner which is easy to manoeuvre around the house. From a full charge it lasts for about fifty minutes and I can hoover the whole of my three storey house in that time. Included is a useful battery light so you can see when the vacuum cleaner needs to be recharged.
This vacuum cleaner comes with its own charging and storage stand which doesn’t take up much room and means the vacuum is always fully charged and ready to go. Also the two supplied attachments fit neatly on board, so that you always know where they are when needed.
There are two attachments supplied 1) a small furniture brush and 2) a built in XL crevice tool. It also has a 3 litre dust canister.
This vacuum cleaner is powerful enough for a daily quick whip round. It works just as well on hard floors as it does on carpets. This vacuum has two power levels including one which self adjust depending on the surface (this is the setting I prefer).
Once a week I vacuum the main living areas with our Miele cylinder corded vacuum which is very powerful, then in between times I use this AEG cordless vacuum cleaner which certainly does a perfectly adequate job.
Something extra that AEG have included in this version of their cordless vacuum cleaner is … the pop out hand held vacuum cleaner. This is an absolutely brilliant addition and one that I find incredibly useful for vacuuming the stairs, mattresses and furniture.
This vacuum had a very good weight balance, it lowers almost flat so that you can clean under low furniture and it also balances the weight to make it easy to vacuum up high.
The 5 stage filtering system offer maximum filtration of 99.9% micro dust filtration, sealing dust, pet hairs and purifying exhaust air in five steps. This is great for anyone with allergies, asthma or COPD. I have emphysema and I am really pleased that this vacuum has such a good filtration system. Also all of the filters are washable…another good feature.
There is so much more to like about this vacuum cleaner including…7 lights on the front which show up the dust on the floor brilliantly. The brush roll cleaning function is another clever addition … with a simple press of a button with your foot, the brush is cleaned from all the hair and pet fur that’s it picked up around the house. Make sure you use this feature regularly to keep the vacuum cleaner working at its best.
This is a very good daily vacuum cleaner that is well worth its high price.

A good vacuum for small bursts
I hadn’t previously used one of these newer style battery-powered vacuums, but I was rather impressed by the quality of suction. In spite of the compact size, the spinning brushes proved to be effective at dislodging dirt from carpets. The inclusion of a headlight is a completely new one for me. As well as being suitable for nocturnal hoovering during a power cut, it really serves to highlight less visible grime during daylight. You can really see the quality of pick up. Just be careful if you have any rabbits as pets. If one were to gaze into the light then it would doubtless become transfixed by the glare. Only the most attentive of cleaners would be able to prevent an extremely unpleasant head-on collision. The main suction mechanism can be removed from the outer shell, in order to deal with cobwebs etc above ground level. It’s just a tad heavy for holding in the air, but manageable enough for short bursts.
I would have awarded a constellation consisting of 5 stars (such as Cassiopeia or Camelopardalis), but I was a little disappointed by the battery life. For that reason, I can only award the number of stars to be found such lesser constellations as Pegasus or Crux. The time is listed as “up to” 40 mins. In practice, I found that it died after around 20 mins. The problem with “up to” is that it’s simply a less unimpressive way of saying “less than”. 40 mins is the absolute best you could hope for, and the reality is definitely going to be worse, albeit by an undefined degree. It’s a bit like if I defined my height as “up to six foot four”, upon Tinder. Yes, ladies, I am indeed shorter than six foot four. Alternatively, I could truthfully define my reviewer ranking here as being “up to number 1”.
Aside from the battery not lasting long enough to do a whole house, you’d then have to wait a few hours to recharge. Although this is fine for occasional bursts of cleaning, it is rather annoying if you need to press on. At least that’s what Consuela, our cleaning lady, informed me of. Luckily, I stuck to my guns and refused to pay her for the time that I ordered her to spend waiting for the device to recharge. However, a less hardened capitalist than myself (who is willing to listen to a sob story about having children to feed and a sick husband to care for) might easily have been left troublingly out of pocket. This is certainly better suited to small bursts of impulse cleaning, than to a formal weekly clean of a palatial sized property.
I wish I had bought this hoover much earlier.
The cordless vacuum cleaner is really practical, especially as you can also use it as a hand-held version. The battery lasts a long time, so you can vacuum a lot until the next recharge. Very good and stable quality and does not take up any space.
A lot more power than it looks
I love the detachable handheld vacuum from the main unit, it makes cleaning ceiling and inside a car a lot easier. The main unit is light weight yet lots of power for tough cleaning jobs, the motorized head is really good at picking up hair and fur. To stop hair trapped and other dust lingering at the brush head there is a brush cleaning function built in where you press down a button the roller brush will be pressed against a metal cleaning bar, any hair or dust will be scraped off quickly.
The light in the front is not just a decoration, it is bright enough to lit up under sofa and under cupboard etc. The smaller brush head is prefect for small enclosure including interior of any car. The tank is on the small side, with only 0.3l it get filled up very quickly. To empty the tank of dust you will have to detach the tank completely and then take off the filter attachment before tipping the contents into your bin. It would be so much better if it is a trap door design.
I personally felt the handle is a bit short, I am 6″1 and I find that I have to push a lot more extended to reach forward. Over time this is very straining for my back and just a little longer handle would make a vast improvement.
It has no problem picking up large metal paper clip, small nut and washers from my studio.

I have been impressed with this AEG QX7-ANIM cordless vacuum cleaner. I had previously been using a top of the range Vax cordless vacuum cleaner. This wasn’t too good right from the start and just got worst very quickly; also it was very messy to empty. I then purchased a Miele bagged cylinder cleaner, and this has been great but not always convenient for those little jobs.
This AEG QX7-ANIM cordless vacuum cleaner came up for review, so I was hoping this cordless vacuum would be better than my previous cordless experience. I have now changed my mind about cordless vacuum cleaners as this one is excellent.
The AEG’s main handle has a modest looking clip in handheld vacuum, but this has very good power. There is plenty of suction handheld or within the main stick. This model has two motorised brushes, one of which is for pet hair. The brushes can be unclipped and quickly removed for cleaning and hair removal. The main motorised brush has a power button to reverse spin the brush to remove dust and dirt, this works very well. There are LED headlights in the main brush, which highlights any dirt and debris for removal.
Not sure of the battery life, I have managed to vacuum the whole house leaving one battery level indicator still lit before putting back on the charging stand. There is enough battery capacity to vacuum both the cars easily.
The dust storage capacity is very small, so this will need emptying quite often. At least it is quick and easy without getting into a mess.
My mains cleaner now only gets used once a week now, for that deep clean around the house.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this AEG cordless vacuum cleaner. It’s great for those quick daily clean ups. And being an AEG product it hopefully should be reliable.

Great for a quick clean up but not as powerful (suction wise) as my corded miele…better than the cordless shark vaccum i had to send back. It has helpful lights…sucks up a lot of dust but i feel that shark handled has stronger suction.

It does need to be emptied fairly regularly, but in general I have no complaints about this vacuum, and would recommend if you hoover often and are fed up with hauling a heavy contraption around.

Piks up great after 4 cats and a toddle
I love this vacume it’s the first cordless vacume I’ve ever had and i don’t think I would change back.
The freedom of cordless is so much easier to zip around the living room.
I have 4 cats and a 5y.o my carpet sees alot of action my cats shed for England and my son gets food everywhere this vacume has cleared up everything that has been thrown at it.
It’s lightweight and moves in all directions can go right under the couch and coffee table.
It’s alot more powerful than I ever expected the hand held vacume just pops out you can attach and extender tube on to get into the corners of the room there is also a button on the extender to make it longer aswell.
The extended has a button release to unattached it then it fits In the back of the vacume to store it but also hidden away.
To empty the vacume you just press the gold button on the front and the clear part has all the dirt stored in and that just pops out fondly to empty it.
Power button is on the handle and also a plus minus button to reduce the suction between 2 settings.
The vacume had charge when it arrived but I still put it on charge to charge it fully it took about 2 and a half hours to charge fully. You just stand it in the charging port to put it on charge there is 3 light that flash when charging once they all turn off you know its charged.
I use it every day just with round the living room and I put it on charge about once every 4 days its never fully ran out of charge in that time.
It was easy to put together everything just slots into place no struggle screws or clips
I would recommend this vacume to anyone
Impressive power and suctio
This cordless AEG vacuum cleaner was incredibly simple to assemble.
The vacuum is lightweight, good height, easily manoeuvrable whilst vacuuming and the on/off button/power setting is perfectly positioned, just below the handle grip.
I’ve been using this vacuum to primarily clean my front lounge and hallway. These two areas get vacuumed a few times a days due to cat hairs getting everywhere. This vacuum is perfect for short cleaning when I can’t be bothered to get my heavy upright hoover out.
This vacuum is fantastic at picking up cat hairs. This vacuum’s power and suction was impressive especially, when you consider its size.
I found the handheld unit pretty heavy and my arm started aching after doing several stairs but my hubby finished the stairs like a pro. The weight of the handheld unit didn’t seem to bother him. The stair attachment picked up debris, dust and cat hair effortlessly.
The extendable brush isn’t long enough to reach the high ceilings in my house, but it should be fine for those who don’t have high ceilings.
This vacuum is great for cleaning under bunk beds, under sofa beds, high cabinets, tables and shelves. I’ve vacuumed carpets and wooden floors without any issues.
The upright floor charger can be situated in the hallway or anywhere out of the way. It’s easy to connect the vacuum to the charger. The vacuum stops charging when it’s fully charged.
The dust tank is relatively small but it’s not designed to do a whole three storey house, all at once. The tank was easy to remove and empty.
This AEG vacuum would be great for small jobs around the house. I wouldn’t use this one to do the whole of my three storey house, for that, I would use my mains operated upright hoover. I really like this vacuum, I don’t have to mess around with cables or anything, just to vacuum one room or small area. It’s easy to use and cleans really well.

Ideal for Light Cleaning
First off, I really like this vacuum. It is light, maneuverable, and works well on hard floor and carpets. It has an excellent run time. I like the fact that it breaks down really easily to operate as a hand-held vacuum, making it ideal for use on stairs and in carpets. It also has a wand for curtains and cob-webby ceilings. On the down side, the dust container is quite small and will need quite frequent emptying.
My reason for only four stars relates mainly to our environment. We have two dogs, and this vacuum is nowhere near capable of dealing with the mess they create. As with all cordless vacuum, the power and capacity simply cannot match that of a corded machine.
So for us, this is the perfect upstairs vacuum (where the dogs aren’t allowed). In the respect I can clean both bedroom and the landing, empty the container once, then another session on the stairs. Job done quickly and pretty easily.
I feel awkward about the four stars as I like the machine and I’ve no reason to doubt it’s every bit as good as any other cordless. However, it’s a long way short of being able to cope with the full challenge we have in our household.
Brilliant Design and No Gimmicks
We’ve had a few AEG products before and this is another top quality item. Unlike many items these days, this is all about good design and not daft gimmicks.
This arrives in a quite compact box because of the multi option design. It is both an upright hoover and a hand held one too. Each has its own function. The upright makes use of a single wide head that cannot be used with the hand held section as there are different connectors in play. All of the other items can be attached to the hand held section. What’s more apart from the roller brush that is for the hand held section, everything clicks into place in the rest of the package – brilliant – and far better than having pieces in a box where you have to rummage for everything.
There is a charging stand and the cable is long enough to be able to connect the PSU at a convenient point. Charge level lights are on the front of the unit and show how long to full charge. We keep this plugged in as a full charge from flat takes some time.
Further excellent points are the fact that the hand held section just unclips from the upright’s handle very easily but remains perfectly secure when used in the upright configuration even when used on the stairs. Long battery life makes this a very practical solution.
In use it is lightweight but powerful and being cordless removes a lot of aggravation when manoeuvring around different parts – no cable snagging or running out of length.
Not cheap but great value. Highly recommended.
If you have a small flat and only intend to clean in small sections then this cordless vacuum from AEG is ideal, however, if like me, you like to clean many rooms in one go including stairs then I would opt for another brand, and if you have pets then maybe this isn’t an ideal choice. This is a top quality cordless cleaner, but if I had 194 to spare then maybe I’d opt for the Vax 1-1-142311 ONEPWR Blade 3 Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner , it’s far superior in all aspects and costs nearly 20 less, I have reviewed both of these cleaners thus can give you my honest opinion.
So here’s what I liked about this AEG cleaner:

For what it is, this is good value, you’re buying top quality and it will get the job done if all you intend to do is clean a small room, it comes supplied with a few attachments and is a nice, compact upright which can be stored out the way once finished with.
I found this was just the perfect vacuum for hard floors, the motorised brush was quite effective at getting the smallest particles up from the floor, including pet hair, I have 4 cats so this was no problem in getting their hair up. The light bar clearly showed up any bits on the floor and was very useful when cleaning under the table, I could see!
It’s a lightweight unit, weighing way under 3kg and feels like it makes light work of the hard floor, very nice to use and I liked the fact that it would basically nearly go flat on the floor to get under cabinets and tables in the kitchen.
The extension attachment allowed me to reach the ceiling corners and this worked very well. Attaching the upholstery brush to the main handle unit then gave me the option to clean chairs and the stairs.
Now this is where I found an issue, I had spent about 20 minutes vacuuming in the kitchen, moved into the carpeted hallway, which by the way it was good at cleaning the carpet as the motorised brush was able to get deep into the carpet fibres, so in total, I had spent 30 minutes cleaning. As I started the stairs, using the brush attachment, the motor started winding down and the vacuum was losing power, thus the battery needed recharging.
So before I could go onto the stairs I had to recharge the battery which took around 2 hours. In the meantime I had to empty the dust storage container, I will admit that the capacity is very small, only 0.3l, so once you’ve done one room it needs emptying, probably more than once, carpeted floor more so.
I did do the stairs but found the brush attachment insufficient for the job, it isn’t motorised thus it wasn’t getting the cat hair up, the stairs did look clean but deep down they wasn’t and cat hair was still present.
In conclusion, I would recommend this vacuum for small flats and if you do cleaning jobs in sections, this won’t allow you to clean the whole house in one go. The dust capacity is very low, only 0.3l and this vacuum will soon drain the battery when used on carpeted floors very easily as the battery is working overtime to compensate for the added load on the motorised brush. I personally would opt for the Vax Blade 3, the link is above, this is far superior for less the price, bigger dust capacity, fully motorised brush and upholstery brush, comes with twin batteries thus you can get the whole house done.
If I had a small place with no pets then I would buy this AEG vacuum, but given my current situation, house and cats then no, I’d opt for the Vax Blade 3 in a heart beat!

Brilliant flexibility and pick up
I received the cream and white cordless vacuum cleaner and it has been superb. It didn’t take much putting together at all as everything clicked into place. I charged it for the four and half hours which was about the right amount of time. There are three lights that light up one at a time until fully charged.
I am delighted at how flexible this is as it goes under the sofa edge, under my table and round the chairs. It picks up in corners and works perfectly on different carpet thicknesses and linoleum just as well. There are different suction strengths too that can be selected. It was great on the stairs.
It is very easy to empty and picks up the lose carpet fluff to the thicker and heavier particles. I am over the moon at the lightness and performance of this cordless vacuum.
Would definitely recommend.

This is the first AEG vacuum I have used and I’m really impressed.
Firstly love the red colour and design as it’s very sleek and modern, making it less bulky and easy to store.
The suction power is really good and strong, so it gets even the tiny bits of dirty off the floor.
It was super easy to assemble and you can easily change the set up for what task you need the vacuum for.
Simply pop out the middle bit of the vacuum to make it a handheld vacuum, perfect for doing the stairs and car.
The brush head also has a handy light/torch on the front to show dirt better.
The vacuum charges on a stand making it super easy to charge and store away.
Charging it is quick and the battery lasts long enough to clean 5 rooms but it would run out quicker if you are deep cleaning.
It also has a handy battery light to show you the battery life.
Cleaning the brush head is easy because there is a button you press while the brush is spinning to get hair and other bits out of the brush.
Overall this is a very good cordless vacuum and I highly recommended it.

This is one of these annoying listings that bundles several models and specifications on the same review listing. I am reviewing the following; AEG QX7-1-50IB
This model, there is alot to like about this. There are some really well thought out engineering designs. In particular
The dual use, full size vaccum and pop out handheld.
The extending attachment that clicks into the main handle
The led on the head that flashes when you dock it to confirm it’s charging.
Smart and easy assembly (and disassembly if you want to store it away)
Cleaning performance is good, you get 2 power settings when using it in full mode (only 1 when in handheld), and provides decent amounts of suction. The pickup head steers well, and the unit is nice and light, so well suited, for example, for elderly. When it’s time to recharge, It’s nice and easy to dock. Cleaning per charge is rated at 45mins (on the lower of the 2 settings), which is really time for a cleaner of this size and weight.
I guess my only criticism would be the size of the bin, as it’s dictated by the size of the removable handheld unit, so it’s therefore quite small (0.3l) but it’s dual purpose functionality more that makes up for this downside. This is ideally suited for lightweight cleaning tasks, and it does this very well.
In short, i would suggest having a good think about how you want to use your vacuum cleaner, this could be a really good choice, or a poor choice depending on your use patterns. Consider it’s lightweight and easily maneuverable and dual function abilities, against the small bin capacity.
Perfect for households with pets
This is a fantastic vacuum cleaner. Presented in a deep red colour, this stands upright on its charging dock, so us perfect to keep on the landing or in the hallway.
The vacuum can be used as a handheld (high power only) or docked into the upright shell to create a full size vacuum cleaner.
There are so many accessories included, all being hidden in the dock or upright shell, including a small brush or a really long nozel; perfect for getting into high or tight places.
The powered mini brush head works well on stairs, as my video shows, with the roller being cleaned by unlocking the one side clip and popping it out.
The upright brush head is outstanding and really does a great job on carpets. This has seriously sucked up more dust than we ever knew was there. There’s also an easy clean pedal on the back of it to detangle the roller.
Power-wise, this is super strong on full. Press the button when in the upright shell and you can run at low power; perfect for using on tiles or laminate flooring.
I couldn’t have wished for a better vacuum. I can highly recommend this. Having a Pug puppy and 2 long hair cats, this is an essential household item. There’s even a 2 year guarantee for peace of mind.
Vacuum in style
Light-weight and easy to assemble, this clips together to assemble the hardest part being the assembly of the charger point and stinging in the cable. The vacuum took about 3 hours to fully charge.
In use its quite light very mobile and flexible. To do some stairs you can push out the motor unit attach the smaller head and use in one hand. Again the powered head is quite mobile.
As a vacuum it socks well and lifted a surprising amount of dust from what looked like a clean floor.
The unit is quite easy to empty especially if you read the instructions rather than fumble through like I did.
