I bought this for my mother for Christmas and she loves it. She was complaining all the time that she struggles to lift her vacuum cleaning, she is
nearly 80! I got this as a backup so that she could just grab it for a quick clean as its lightweight. She has now completely ditched her old vacuum cleaner and now only uses this. She loves the fact that it comes with 2 heads, one for carpets and one hard floors and that it also converts to a “DustBuster” type vacuum so that she can vacuum up all of my Dads biscuit crumbs from the sofa! It’s a definite 5 stars from her.
Great for occasional use
This is a great vacuum for occasional use. The suction is not as powerful as the top end products as you’d expect but for day to day crumbs etc it’s brilliant.
WAS a great vacuum
This vac really surprised me, good suction nice and light easy to empty and as I brought it pre-loved from Amazon warehouse it was cheaper than RRP.
UNFORTUNATELY the trigger, (on off switch), has been playing up and now I can only switch it off by demounting the battery. So I checked out how to, then sent it back. The courier was at mine in less than 24hrs. Amazon returns are fantastic, can’t fault them.
Now I have to trawl through and find another one as good, or do I buy the same again, as I was a very capable stick vacuum.

Great for a quick flit around just to pick up after the dog
Great little hoover, wouldn’t have it as my main one but definitely good enough to pick up after the dog or the bits of grit that come off shoe around the door mat. I find the battery last long enough for a few uses if I use the carpet mode, if I’m just going over the hard floors it lasts really well and I have only used the max button to see the difference.
If it broke tomorrow I would definitely buy the same type again. No match for a proper upright machine but much better than a dustpan and brush.

Using this upstairs at the moment but it’s so good I may bring it downstairs instead. An excellent alternative to Dyson or G-Tech which are more expensive. Not sure how long the battery will last or how you get a replacement for one but at the moment I’d recommend this product.
Well impressed
Well impressed, after reading reviews I thought I’d buy the amazon brand, much better than ‘other’ brand I purchased last year. Suction is good too, lightweight and a doddle to empty too even stands up against the wall before I fix the bracket. Am thinking of buying a second for the office.

Pros:
Very good design and colour.
Light weight.
Charging about 3 hours.
Quite easy to clean the roller/brush after removing it. Clip that holds the roller/brush can pinch your finger. You can remove most of any hair on the brush without removing the roller.
All in my family have used this and seem OK when using it.
Removing dirt from container very easy and the holding clip nice and strong.
Cleaning the filter is easy.
You only have to clean the upper filter every 6 months.
Comes with two other cleaning tools including crevice tools.
Cons: No information on guide book if you have to run it flat before charging. At the moment I top up the battery before next use.
Make sure you do not lose the roller/brush retaining clip.
So far we are very happy. We have been let down with 3 Jajbot cordless vacuums that have packed up or container clip has broken. We had to return 1 VAX Blade cordless vacuum as the electric roller had stopped working.
I only thing I am unhappy about Amazon. They have complained about the state of returned vacuums. If they are faulty after using them, we cannot be expected to return them in mint condition. We have put them properly in there original boxes as they came out of them.
Good vacuum for quick cleaning jobs. Good suction and battery life.
Since we already own a beloved robot vacuum we didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a stick vacuum to do the one small task our robot cannot do… vacuuming the stairs. So we took a risk on this Amazon basics model and so far it is working out well. It is lightweight although a bit top heavy. I have arthritis and it’s not too heavy, although I don’t use it for long. The battery lasts long enough to do the stairs, vacuum our long kitchen and vacuum cat litter on the upstairs landing. This was on the Max setting, so I’m sure it could do a lot more with the Max setting switched off. I haven’t tried this on carpet since we have wood floors throughout our house. I’m impressed so far. It is easy to put together, it charges very very fast (an hour or so) and has decent suction especially for the price. It tackles large pieces of cat litter efficiently which has been fantastic because the cats will scatter litter the next minute after we vacuum so having this ready to go helps. This has saved us from constantly treading on cat litter upstairs or even on the stairs. I have not tried it as a car vacuum yet but it seems like the mini vacuum (the vacuum without the stick attached) is easy to use and has good suction too. It’s also a fairly quiet stick vacuum which is great because our toddler and one of our cats really dislike loud vacuums.

I did the cornflake test ,and was very impressed ,compared to my other cordless hoover ,suction is good im well pleased ,only thing I didn’t get instruction leaflet and 1 of my tool parts the button is broken ,but I’m pleased with my purchase
Ex-Dyson use
I’ve had a Dyson cordless for the past five years, and when the repair costs became too expensive, I thought I would give this Amazon basics cordless Hoover a try (Swan hoover) . Very impressed would recommend it . Good battery life , good suction. Hangs on the wall perfect. For the price it’s value for money.
Good value and good performance
The vacuum comes with plenty of nice features, carpet or hard floor settings and max setting for extra suction. It’s been great so far. Only had it for a couple of weeks so we’ll have to see how it lasts.

Amazon's Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleane
I haven’t had a chance to use this very much up to now. But I have found it to be lightweight compared to my original vacuum. Easily picks up the bits on the carpet and the small motorized floor nozzle gets into the small spaces between furniture which my other vacuum didn’t. I am very pleased with it.
Surprisingly good, especially for the price.
Worked great, suction on both settings is more than adequate. Was able to easily disassemble to clean the filter, even without any instructions. Would recommend.

This cleaner is exactly as described: it is lightweight, practical and highly portable. Its suction power is good, and the powered heads are particularly effective. The upholstery brush deep cleans soft furnishings very well and the cleaner is pleasant to use.
Particularly noteworthy is the quietness of the motor which is totally unobtrusive, and doesn’t alarm pets, such as cats, in the immediate vicinity.

The product is lightweight and has good enough battery power to clean a two bed flat (on full charge) takes a few hours to charge from no battery to full, attachments that come with it are very good and the product is reliable. Does what it says.
Great lightweight cleane
Really happy with it, so easy to use and being lightweight makes stairs so easy much better than having to carry hetty around! The attachments make cleaning inside of car easy too.
Only downside hair tangles round brushes very easily, I have long hair and have had to remove brush and clean it every time ive hoovered the bedroom so wouldn’t recommend if you have pet hair to deal with.

Amazon really should offer spares for the items they sell under their brand, especially batteries and filters. Surely with their clout it can’t be beyond them.
note: Have to wash the filter regularly – it will cut the power after a few seconds if it’s clogged, to prevent overheating presumably.

The best value and so much better than the dyson costing £350.
We have a dyson cordless and after getting a personal recommendation from a friend to get this instead of another dyson at 3 times the cost of this . This beats the dyson on every level build is as good if not better.
And comes with all the bits and accessories . Alot bet than the other and even was charged out of the box . I canot recommend higher. We are just going to get another for upstairs.
On the whole, very good value compared to competitors
Quite impressed. We have 98% wooden floors, just a stair carpet and some polka Arabic rugs so did not want to spend 100s of pounds on a flimsy Dyson. Nice and solid and just about does the whole 4 bed house on a single charge. I guess battery life will deteriorate and I looked for spare batteries but no joy. Main gripe is the lack of the usual stair attachment. They seem to expect you to use the main cleaning head but that is awkward and heavy on the stairs. The upholstery attachment is better but small si takes longer.
Value for money.
This is the first cordless hoover I’ve had so comparing to others is not an option! But having said that why would I waste money on an expensive one when this basically does what all the others claim to do. Everything about this hoover screams value for money! Great suction, light weight and easy to use and clean, very happy shopper.

First cordless vacuum I’ve purchased and I’m very pleased with it. It’s a good product with a pleasing price tag. However if you want a low maintenance vacuum it’s probably not for you. It does require cleaning the filter and brush every time you use it. The brush is a wrap around hair magnet and the filter does a great job but gets very dusty! But it’s easy enough to clean.

EASY
I like the fact that it’s neat enough to hang in an upstairs wardrobe and use for light traffic areas such as study and bedrooms. It means I don’t have to lug the heavier corded vacuum up and down the stairs every 5 minutes.

The days of brush and pan are over and the stairs carpet (previous owner I hate carpets) is very easy to clean now.
The head articulation is superb and like a great pair of running shoes the product leads you forward. I have never smiled before when using a vacuum cleaner. On the other hand I have literally smashed up a few useless ones. I introduced it to the now defunct vacuum cleaners I store in the garage (noisy awkward VAX upright and the Henry which only SUCKS only its ergonomics make it unsuitable for domestic use- a conference hall great) and I hope they feel the shame of their existence.
Like Caligula talking to the statue of Zeus in the BBC’s I Claudius (which we are not allowed to watch any longer) the Vax and the Henry have been warned.

Amazing value cordless vacuum with great suction power. Has normal & max mode for hard floors with faster brush speed for carpet /mats with the rotating hoover brush. The nozzle & upholstery brush are ideal for cleaning the car. I love the max mode but it’s a power drain so you get about 20 minutes which is enough for the kitchen, dining area, hall and sitting room.

Bought this to replace a failing Dyson, the suction’s pretty good and you get a decent amount of accessories.
My only gripe is that you have to plug in rather than it automatically charging when you sit it in the cradle like the dyso
Really surprised at how good and how well made, this Hoover is for the price.
I mainly have hard wood floors at home but do have some carpet for the stairs and landing.
I know a few other reviewers seem to have bought this as a back up to their main, more powerful Hoover but I wanted to give this a try as my primary Hoover, as well as a Gtech hand held and Neato robot in support.
It’s been absolutely great overall, performing very well.
Unbelievably good when comparing it to other premium brand Hoover’s for the price.
I purchased the higher spec version and is my first battery powered Hoover. Definitely worth it for the extra 30 over the standard version and longer battery life, I get about 25- 30 mins, on full power on hard flooring, with definitely enough suction and then switching onto carpet mode, probably slightly less battery, by about 3 or 4 minutes.
The suction power on carpet is decent, not as powerful as a Dyson Animal (previous hoover) but you could argue that is overkill and when comparing to the price difference, there’s no contest.
I also have a medium size breed, short haired dog that likes to moult, so it needs to do a good job.
Pound for pound, the Amazon Hoover does a better job for what I want it for.
The charge time is quick as well, you’ll get about half the battery in an hour which is pretty decent.
It’s a nice weight, not too heavy and the same when detached, cleaning the stairs.
Cleaning the dirt catcher can be a bit of a faff, having to sometimes press the button that detaches the catcher completely, rather than just clicking the lid release to let out the dirt.
This seems to be dependant on how full it is as the dirt doesn’t come out that easy if it’s too full.
Still easier and more hygienic than cleaning out a Dyson Animal though ! (that’s horrendous)
You also get the standard attachments with a handy wall bracket.
The wall bracket fits neatly in the airing cupboard for me, I also changed an old immersion heater switch into a plug socket, then cable tidied the hoover plug which is neat and easy to lift on and off the bracket.
I also leave it plugged in all the time which hasn’t been a problem.
The hard floor attachment is of really good quality, solidly built. It’s a soft roller that does a nice job on the hard floors and easy to clean. A nice alternative to the standard suction head for the carpet.
Another nice feature is that you only have to press the power button once to power it up, you don’t have to keep hold of the button, to keep it on.
Other battery powered Hoover’s I’ve been reading up on, you have to keep the button pressed, which seems like it would be annoying.
All in all a nice purchase so far. I’ve had it for 4 months so far, let’s hope it lasts!
Very quie
Very quiet, easy to use and store. The down side is that it needs to be emptied often as the dust collector is on the small side. Apart from that we are very pleased with it.
I do not know why Amazon wont deliver this one to Ireland( used a parcel delivery agent) but it will deliver the cheaper model! which appears ot be similar minus the accessories…I’m also wary that there is no spare battery available. Right to business… this is an Amazon branded Chinese model, its sold on some other sites under a different brand. its reasonably lightweight, very good suction power. wall mount supplied and came with a 2 large floor accessories, the softw/felt roller one is great on laminate floors and the brush on carpet. there are two smaller tube accessories as well. Battery life is good. when using the charger when the lights go off its fully charged, we managed the full house before needing charging again but on turbo it definitely doesn’t last as long… we only really used turbo on carpets. only took the star off because of delivery and lack of spares! for the Price its amazing though

The suction power is fantastic despite how lightweight the thing is. The bag-less dust compartment empties extremely easily and all of the fittings connect with a simple, yet sturdy, click.
The LEDs on the front of the vacuum are not a gimmick – absolutely fantastic for getting into places Like cupboards and under the sofa.
I have mine mounted on the inside door of my tool cupboard. It lifts on and lifts off the mount easily and the battery life is great for such a powerful machine.

Powerful and versatile hoover - bungalow with 7 dogs
My Dyson upright was too heavy to use while recovering from 2 fractured vertebrae and I bought this cordless stick vacuum cleaner simply because it was lightweight. I honestly did not expect much in the way of cleaning power, but have been pleasantly surprised. I have a 3-bed bungalow, a husband and 7 dogs. These are my tips for getting the best out of cleaner, especially if you have dogs.
* Use the Max Power booster. Even with this on all the time, the charge easily covers a 3-bed bungalow.
* Empty the dust chamber before it gets to max capacity. If it fills up, the vacuum simply stops. I twist off the dust cap and it i simple to empty the contents into the bin. Pop back on, and off you go.
* ALWAYS remove the foam filter in the Dust Cap when you have finished (so easy to do) and brush it gently (I use the 2-in-1 upholstery tool). If you do not do this, you will find your suction power reduced. I have not yet washed the filter, but it appears easy to do by running it under a tap.
* Dog hair caught on the brush. Incredibly easy to sort. Just one clip holds the brush in. Remove brush, use scissors to slice the dog hairs along the length of the brush, pull off dog hairs and replace brush into floor nozzle.
* The vacuum takes 2-3 hours to charge and can then be stored ready for next use.
I am extremely happy with my purchase and as long as you spend a few minutes at the end of the clean (on the filter and brush) you should be very happy with your surprisingly powerful, lightweight vacuum cleaner.

This is brilliant! Picks up dog hairs and child crumbs with ease. Lightweight and simple to use. Not the longest battery life but plenty for a two bedroom house.
Lightweight and easy to use
First cordless vac we’ve owned and impressed with it. A full charge easily does our 3 bedroom semi. We have hard floors downstairs and carpet upstairs. If you have pets (we don’t) then I think this may struggle with pet hairs on carpets. Not quite powerful enough. Otherwise, it’s great.

I love this vacuum cleaner. It’s so much better than the Hoover that I replaced it with. There is nothing ‘basic’ about it so don’t be put off by the ‘Amazon Basic’ description. In fact, any Amazon Basic item I can say hasn’t been ‘basic’ at all. All good stuff!

Fantastic Vac
We recently decided our old hoover had reached the end and had to get rid (may it rest in peace) and scoured pages of information about what to get to replace it – particularly living in a small property (UK terraced house). I saw this and we were both very taken with the idea of a stick vac that wouldn’t take up much space and could be discreetly wall mounted. I know some people weren’t keen on this vac, but we decided to give it a go.
On the plus, it’s got great suction and is, generally, easy to use. However, I took points off though for ease of use – purely because although the more expensive version is touted as good for pets, the pet hair keeps getting tangled on the rotary parts in the head. This does mean we’ve had to take the head apart a couple of times to unhook all the pet hair.
It’s got a really smart look and feel and compares to the quality of upright and compact vacs we’ve had in the past. The fact that we’ve been able to wall mount it with the kit and attach the tools to it means we’ve saved on space and have been able to hide it out of view so it doesn’t impact on the feel of any room.
Overall we’re really happy with this vac and I would recommend it to anyone – particularly those who do not have pets at home and are constantly battling with shedding!

Ideal product for mobility, the product is of good quality, quiet and easy to use. You get everything you need included. Suction could be improved slightly and battery time as well but these wouldn’t put me off from buying another one.

Amazingly powerful hoover!
Was so so impressed with this hoover. I’m disabled and have a lot of dexterity and strength issues but I am able to use this well enough, it picks up after 6 cats really really well, is easy to set up and use, just a couple button pushes to change settings super easily.
Took about 4 hours to charge from empty to full and lasts around 30 mins on the MAX setting on carpet mode, fills up super quick with all the cat hair but one push of a button and the bottom falls open, the only thing I struggle with is getting the stuff to come out, I have to use a knife to kinda pull the stuff out and this can be tricky as it just spins around the thing
But all in all, super happy I went for this one, very impressive little hoover!
Very pleased with this item
For the price, as it’s much cheaper than a dyson, I’ve been really impressed with this. Easy to use and light. All the fittings work well and I love it being cordless, which is the main reason I chose it. Charges quickly and fitted the holder to the wall easily. Very happy.

Excellent cleaner was a bit apprehensive as it was not as expensive as others but it really is very good.

I was a big believer of my strong, corded vacuum cleaner for years and resisted to get a cordless one because my early experiences with the battery powered small dust suckers what you should use in cars etc. They were horrible.
However, this one just works very well. It may does not have the extreme suction power as my corded one had, but the head, at the end of the tube has rotating brushes what helps “scoopinging” in the dust into the vacuum cleaner, so it picks up everything. For example it could easily picked up frozen mixed vegetables what I accidentally dropped to the kitchen floor.
The battery time is more than enough to run around in our small flat.
It is nice that you can detach the long pipe and click in the smaller heads to the machine itself and with that you can clean dust from the furniture or from the tricky corners. Also it is perfect for the car. (No more one pound coins wasted at the petrol station!)
One additional benefit: it is easy to pick up and just run around in 5 minutes. No need so much will power to get out the corded one, change the paper bag, attach this and that and put it in and after you just can’t reach that corner, so you plug it in a closer socket etc… this one is easy. Pick it up, use it, empty the dust tank with one click, put it back to charge. Job done.
You can leave it on charge, it will stop charging when it is fully charged.

The product is really well made. The power suction is strong and the battery lasts enough for our 2 rooms apartment.
It takes around 3 to 4 hours to fully charge. Not to heavy. 2 level of power and 2 different modes for hard floor and carpet.
No regret in investing this money for this product.

Amazing Product for the Price
I have nothing but good things to say about this vacuum cleaner. It arrived well packed and in perfect condition with not even damage to the box. It is easy to put together and interchange all of the accessories. The instruction book is very intuitive and easy to follow. I was quickly able to learn how to change and clean filter etc without complication.
I tested the vacuum on a rug which I have in my kitchen as the rest of my property is hard floor and I couldnt believe the results both on the rug and the floor itself. I am quite house proud to be honest and regularly clean and vacuum but I was ashamed with what this picked up in its first outing! It looks like a different rug!! It has also left nothing on the hard floor and I havent even tried the hard floor head attachment yet.
Product comes with about 20 mins charge to get to grips with it and then charging time to full charge is around 4 hours.
I had been wanting to move to an upright cordless cleaner like this and was prepared to pay more but the reviews it had just made me think it was worth a try for the price and apparent performance and I am absolutely thrilled with it.

We had the Dyson version of this back in the states and we paid 3 times what we paid for this. This has similar suction and features for soooo much less. We have laminate floors in most of our home and a little carpeting. This works on both very well. Our dog loves to chew things on the landing on our stairs which are carpeted, and this picks up any stuffing of toys or rope shreds that he leaves behind. It also picks up dust and hair so we don’t have to sweep before mopping, just run this baby over the floors. Being pregnant, this has been a lifesaver! I highly recommend this beauty!
Well what can I say. What a great little vacuum. It’s easy to assemble. Don’t need instructions as the machine is self explanatory in its own right.
It’s so lightweight and easy to use. I was able to vacuum, on my first use (once battery had been fully charged). Living room, kitchen, conservatory. Hall, stairs, landing. Bathroom and 4 bedrooms all on maximum power before it run out of charge. Once the house is vacuumed regularly I wouldn’t need to use the max power and I’m sure the battery will last for the whole house with power to spare.
The vacuum turns off the charge power once fully charged. I actually enjoyed vacuuming my house for the first time in a very long time and it took much less time than when I struggled with my old vacuum, the Hetty with the inconvenient electric cable and weight was not a pleasure. Now I look forward to my next vacuuming routine with this great little product. Nice one Amazon. I think the name Amazon basic need changing because this vacuum is not basic in any meaning of the word. Great price too. Much cheaper than the named brands.

This just arrived yesterday but I have tried it in all modes and more than delighted with my purchase. It is very well made and works brilliantly- and at such a great price. I wonder how much better the much more expensive brands can be?
Great suction. Shortish battery life.
The suction is great on hard floors, carpet or furniture. Better than my dyson.The handle is quite heavy, which I suppose is to be expected as it houses the battery. The battery life is roughly 25 minutes and then you have to wait about 2 hours to get a decent recharge.

This is a great hoover for my apartment. It’s light, very quiet and has good suction. I was a bit dubious at first but that was put to rest when I used the hoover. So far I cannot fault it. Very happy with the purchase.

Having had a Dyson before I was reticent about purchasing this product which was one third of the price. I say to any purchaser to have no hesitation whatsoever as this is a super product.
It is lightweight, has ample power to do a total clean of my pad with power to spare. It is equally as good if not better than the Dyson I had before. The only item I would comment on was that the dock which you fit the appliance into does not have a charging point in it and therefore you have to connect a separate cable which is a little bit of an annoyance but certainly I have no problem with the actual product. 4 Star product and well done Amazo

I’ve spent 400 before on a Dyson and this is just as good. Mounts to the wall easy. Light enough for the kids to use. Good suction for human and dog hairs. Really easy to empty. A good purchase.

This wee vac is far from basic, I’ve had stick vacs from big names that cost two or three times the price as this, this is better. This is the first cordless vac I’ve had that I don’t need to run on high power for it to do its job, the high power setting it there for the stubborn areas.
As a disabled person with limited mobility and strength in my arms I find it easy and light to use, easy to assemble and to change out the attachments as needed, it does need emptied after each go but its super easy to do. Charge lasts easily long enough for me to do my fairly large two bed flat, then just hang it on the wall, plug in the charger and in no time its good to go again.
Operation is quiet and a whizz round the flat is done in no time, would certainly recommend, its great value for money and feels well put together.
Having to send it back
Works really good but having to send it back as only had one battery with it when I recieved it even though it said extra brush and samsung battery, really disappointed that I’m having to send it back.

Not sure what i was expecting for a Budget item, could not be more pleased. I used a mains vacuum cleaner one day, used this the next day and was shocked by the amount of dust this vacuum removed from the floors and carpets.
For the money I pay for it I think it’s a brilliant hoover great suction lightweight he does the job on the carpet I also have pets great for hair

First impressions having just purchased this vacuum are extremely positive. I spent a long time looking at alternatives and reviews but could always find too many downsides for my liking even on much more expensive models so I took a chance believing in the Amazon brand name and very glad that I did.
Interestingly and something that initially gave me some cause for concern was the weight. In the product chart where it compares the specs with 4 alternative products it states the weight as 3.1kg, nearly 1kg heavier than alternative models. Not so, the user manual states 2.4kg fully assembled and I think 3.1kg probably relates to the shipping weight.
Everything looks well made and it appears to be a quality product. When I unpacked everything and assembled the vacuum I found it balances very nicely on the roller head and weight isnt an issue.
I didnt read the user manual properly, most of the functions are entirely logical but I didnt realise I was using it in the ‘max’ power mode. However, it cleaned a large lounge (26′ x 20′), hall, kitchen, upstairs landing, bathroom and bedroom without any significant loss of power although I could hear that the motor wasn’t spinning quite as fast, not enough to affect suction and cleaning but obviously not as fast as when fully charged.
Things I like-
When you switch off you can hear the whine of the motor while it spins down, not an instant stop like a previous cordless vacuum I had which demonstrates the high rpm of the motor and the power.
The combination of rotating brushes and high suction do a very good job cleaning at the edge of carpets where they meet the walls
Dust and debris is easily emptied
I was astonished at how easily it picked up cat hair, I have two cats, one is long haired and leaves clumps of hair all over the place. My powerful corded Miele vacuum which I previously used for ‘deep cleaning’ struggled with cat hair meaning mostly half a dozen attempts back and forth to pick up those larger clumps.
It doesnt pump out vast amounts of hot air like my Miele which will be a big bonus on hot summer days
The only downside that I encountered was the status led’s, they’re very small and barely distinguishable but it didnt affect anything in practice apart from not realising I was using the vacuum in max power mode first time out.

Best Vacuum Cleaner: Slim and Smart with very good charging efficiency
It is so far the best vacuum cleaner I have with the best charging efficiency. I utilized it in remote locations where power plug is not available and it turned out that the suction power is very good. I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner and I am sure I shall buy it again.
Handy and very easy to use
This is a brilliant little cordless vacuum for running around the house. it’s not overly heavy, it has an easy grip and the attachments are easy to fit and take off.
The wall mount is allot sturdier than it looks and provided it is mounted on a proper wall there should be no issues with it falling off.
The charge for this little hover lasts around 15/30 minutes depending on which setting you have it on. so for me that a bit of a negative. You can not leave this plugged in which means once the charge is going thats it, it’s off to be charged up again. charging it up doesn’t take forever but a full charge I think take around 5 hours give or take. so thats 5 hours of charge time for 25/30 minutes of power which honestly I don’t think it worth it.
However this hover really is good at sucking up dirt on both carpets and had flooring. you cant do liquids with this charger thou so be careful if using in a kitchen.
Very easy to empty with just a pop of a clip and you can dump the content in the pin without having to remove anything.
Do read the instruction carefully and keep to hand. cleaning and maintaining this hover isn’t simply. the insides can be washed but you need to know how to do this properly to avoid damaging the hover.
I really like that you can attack the hover head directly to the hover as well as on the long hose, this makes doing the stairs so much easier for me and Mum and it’s been great at running around the smaller rooms as well, it means not having to lug the big hover around and up and down the stairs.
I think this is a great bit of kit and if they release a spare hover battery I’ll be grabbing that up, having two batteries that you can have charged up would really make this better for the buyer.
Reasonably priced and competent cordless vac.
A pretty good cordless vac. It’s nowhere near as powerful as our Vax, but it does an ok job.
It arrived packaged very well in a cardboard box (recyclable). Each component was nestled in its own nest….but….each component was wrapped individually in a plastic bag. That’s not good, and I would hope Amazon will be addressing their policy on single use plastic.
The vacuum itself comes with a cradle to store and recharge it. There is a range of tools for various jobs, which work fine.
The dust compartment is pretty small, so it requires frequent emptying. However, it’s simple to do, so that’s not much of an issue really.
Battery power lasts about half an hour on low….10 mins less on higher power.
Now we have 2 long haired cats and, to be honest, this vac isn’t really up to hoovering their fur up properly. But, for a quick hoover up, especially flooring, it’s fine.I
It’s lightweight and easy to use…so that’s a big plus and changing the tools does not involve a wrestling match, which sometimes our Vax does.

First of all I need to tell you that I did not purchase this item but it was sent to me by Amazon in return for an unbiased and honest review.
Well packaged and everything recyclable. Easy to assemble didn’t need instruction booklet but there is one if required.
Two settings one for carpet one for hard floors and another two settings one normal and another boost.
On normal the vacuum will operate for about 30 minutes without recharging.
To operate you do not need to hold down the switch.
The LED headlights were a surprise to us, very handy in poor lighting or to assist looking for fluff etc.
Charging station with wall mount to go in a cupboard etc very handy and will hold the tools too.
LED display shows battery life.
Easy to empty dust collector – straight into your bin.
Amazing manoeuvrability and very lightweight.
This little vacuum compares favourably to our cordless Dyson and has one or two features that the Dyson does not! Not to mention the price difference!

This is a lovely little unit, which has immediately become my go-to for all vacuuming duties, replacing my cumbersome plug-in model. It might not have the sophistication, aesthetic qualities, or power of more expensive models, but for everyday domestic cleaning it fulfills its purpose admirably. It has most of the features you’d expect from a product of this type – quick charging battery, light-weight and manoeuverable, motorised brush-head with LED lights, changeable from hard floor to carpet with the touch of a button, a MAX power button for more stubborn dirt, 25 minutes run-time on low power, two alternative tools for crevices/furniture/tight spaces etc. The HEPA filter is very easy to remove/clean/replace. It’s easy to assemble and everything fits together with a satisfying ‘click’. The only minus point I would say is the small size of the dust compartment, but it’s so easy to empty that shouldn’t present too much of a problem. Overall a joy to use, but it is fairly low power so I can see it struggling with pet hair or deep-pile carpet.
We have a large house and I got this vac to complement the Dyson v7 that we use downstairs. This is in no way as good as the Dyson, but it’s pretty competent for the price. The suction is much less, but it’s very rare that you need the full power of the Dyson anyway. Mostly, this vac is just fine. Where it does fall down is that it needs two filters, rather than one. Furthermore, the centre filter is a rather flimsy fabric one that will wear out and need to be replaced quite quickly. It’s also about 200g heavier than the Dyson, which you notice if you’re hoovering the stairs.
It comes with a pretty comprehensive set of tools and I like that there are LEDs on the motor head so you can see when you’re cleaning under sofas etc. The instructions say to disconnect the power supply when the device is fully charged. Not sure if that is completely necessary. The charging LEDs go out once it is fully charged so I’m hoping it’s not dangerous to leave it connected to the charger. It’s handy that the battery is replaceable as that is the item that will wear out first. You could even buy a couple of spares if you want the freedom to clean the whole house in one go.
Strong, simply-approached desig
This is the first time I’ve seen an AmazonBasics brand on ‘big electronics’- I’ve seen it plenty on much smaller items like cables or adapters, but this is the first time I’ve seen it on an item above a hundred quid. The ethos seen in other AmazonBasics electronics remains much the same though- simply designed and styled, functional rather than pretty, packaged in basic cardboard boxes with no frills, some corners have been sensibly cut here to offer a conveniently cordless vacuum cleaner at a price that’s (fairly) competitive against other brands.
In many ways, it’s a 4 star item, including some key ways. The suction is decent and it does a good job of getting dirt and hair off carpets and kitchen tiles. It’s not super-powerful, but neither is it super-loud, and for everyday bits and pieces like walked-in mud or spilled flour, it’s more than adequately up to the task. The barrel where the dirt accumulates is fairly small, but it’s very easy to empty. There’s something oddly satisfying about the trigger-style on-off button.
It’s really nicely lightweight. I’m not strong by any means but I can easily push it around or carry it upstairs single-handedly. The rollers work well and it rolls about on carpets in a fairly effortless way, without much shoving, which makes the process feel very easy.
The ‘max’ button and the ‘carpet’ toggle button don’t really do very much- it’s still essentially a sucking stick with rollers on the end, doing the best sucking it can with the battery it’s got, and it feels like those buttons are more there for show (because other brands have them) rather than actually accomplishing much.
It can be wall-mounted- make sure you get the height right!- but even if not mounted, it can stand up of its’ own accord. It’s top heavy, definitely, but not too wobbly on its feet, allowing you to put it down and pick it up easily if you need to move some stuff off the floor then carry on vacuuming, etc.
The battery life is OK-ish. Despite being a huge battery, it’s only a 2000mAh capacity (or 2500mAh on the ‘higher spec’ one apparently), which is a lower mAh value than most smartphones so it sounds low, but it’s 21.6V so that’s not a valid comparison. A full battery charge can take this device on a quick spin round every room in our four-bedroom house without needing a recharge, so I’d suggest that it’s as much as most everyday use would need. A simple three-pin plug character, like a phone charger but just a little bigger, is a simpler and more convenient solution than some of the more elaborate charging/docking stations that more expensive cordless vacuums seem to come encumbered by.
One disadvantage with the battery is that you can’t either charge this device and use it at the same time- nor can you charge the battery separately. If you plug the charging cable in while the vacuum is on, it switches off automatically and won’t come back on. So if you do find that it wasn’t charged enough for the full vacuum sweep you wanted to do, you have no choice but to wait until it’s recharged enough for you to try again- which could be quite inconvenient.
Looking around this product category at this price point shows that this AmazonBasics brand model isn’t an absolute bargain- it’s reasonably competitive, but there are other brands on this site which will give you a similar spec for a similar price. But if simplicity is your thing- and the added bonus assurance that the Amazon brand and customer service brings- and you’re looking for a reliable, simple cordless vacuum for convenient quick sweeps, there’s very little to fault about this.
This vacuum is quite lightweight and I would speculate designed by someone who has actually cleaned a house! I was able to compare it to my daughter’s ‘Hoover’ stick for a road test and I think it comes out favourably.
The box arrived well packaged and easy to dispose of being cardboard. Unfortunately each component was wrapped in a plastic bag which, today is beginning to seem a bit excessive. Hey ho, can’t have everything, but I would like to think that Amazon could make more efforts to reduce single use waste products.
The vacuum was very easy to assemble once the battery was fully charged. A plus point is that it doesn’t have to sit in its special cradle attached to the wall as it can just sit on a work surface near a plug socket.
There is a hanging cradle supplied so could be attached to a wall for storage, but this isn’t necessary. There is a clear indicator of the level of charge and once fully charged this disappears.
To start this vacuum there is a button located in the handle, and once again plus points are gained in that the trigger doesn’t have to be squeezed in whilst in operation being a simple on and off.
I have used another brand (Dyson) and the trigger had to be held in at all times which eventually I found particularly uncomfortable.
Once in operation it is light weight and very manoeuvrable around furniture and can lay flat to go under beds and sofas and because of it’s compact size it, if furniture allows, it can actually go all the way under without having to move any furniture.
This can be used without any tools attached, which I found really useful when you spot a cobweb in a corner that can’t be reached with the head attached. It can also be used with just either of the floor nozzles attached with make it perfect for stairs.
There are two floor nozzles supplied – one for carpets and one for hard floors. The one for hard floors is very good as the plush roller is in contact with the floor so highly effective at removing dust.
This vacuum is well balanced when in use and doesn’t feel heavy and usefully stands up when not in use. A caution to this being that it would easily be knocked over because all the weight is at the top, so it’s probably not recommended for safety reasons around pets and small children.
Although the dust collector is relatively small in comparison to a plug in hoover, do not let this put you off, as it’s so easy to empty with the press of one button to release the hinged lid whilst holding over a bin. The dust collector cup can also be easily removed with a quick twist for a more thorough empty if any clumps have become wedged at the top.
The internal filters are equally easily removed for washing and cleaning.
Whilst I probably would never not want to have a full size plug in vac for proper cleaning days, these cordless hoovers are fantastic for a quick run around after the grandchildren have trashed your front room on a Sunday and left their trail of biscuit crumbs everywhere. At this point all you can think about is a gin and tonic and the thought of dragging a full size mains vacuum is not a good one! However a stick vacuum which is battery powered means they are quick to get out and put away, are easy to use and are always ready for action.
So, overall a good battery powered stick vacuum which isn’t quite as good as a Dyson but the cost is of course not even close. This is quite important because no matter what the advertising guff says, you will probably still need a mains vacuum, especially if you have carpets, for the days when you really want to give the house a good clean. This stick vacuum like the Dyson is a ‘nice to have,’ like a microwave. A useful extra tool but you still need the proper full fat item.

I’ve never been convinced about cordless Vacuum cleaners as you tend to think that they won’t be as powerful as my Animal Vacuum Cleaner, well I can now say that this is a myth now thanks to AmazonBasics 2 in 1 Cordless,
As soon as I unboxed it I couldn’t believe how good this was actually made as it’s very good quality, firstly I plugged it in the mains to charge, one blue light came on to show it was charging and as soon as it gets to 3 blue lights it’s fully charged.
As soon as I switched it on it didn’t feel powerful, unlike my other Vacuum cleaner you can feel the suction pulling on the carpet, this AmazonBasics is different because you don’t feel the suction on the carpet but the actual rotating brush is actually closer to the carpet and picks up a lot better, what I found was as soon as I used the vacuum it instantly picked up debris and I didn’t have to to keep going over the same patch again unlike my other Vacuum cleaner, my wife is very pleased as it’s very light and easy to push as she suffers from a bad back, I’ve also drilled my wall so I can use the wall mount to place the vacuum with the attachments, it comes with two rotating heads, one for carpets and one for hard floors plus some little attachments with a brush.
Again the quality of this Vacuum is outstanding.
To be honest I didn’t look at the instructions because it was so simple to put together and wasn’t much to it.
For the price it is an absolute bargain for what you get and it does a magnificent job especially on carpets.
Light, easy to use and works well.
I don’t have experience of other cordless vacuum cleaners therefore I don’t have a benchmark to compare this one with but I must say I was impressed with it.
* The instructions are straightforward making assembly and operation easy.
*It is light yet robustly built.
* It only took a few seconds to put it together.
* A full charge took 4 hours but I was able to use it for test purposes after 1 hour.
* It comes with 2 heads – 1 that does carpets and floors and the other for hard floors only.
* The attachments can be used with the extension wand for hard to reach places and to prevent the user bending over or they can be attached to the central unit itself making for a much more compact operating unit for cleaning upholstery, cars etc.
* Connecting and disconnecting the attachments is a cinch.
* The suction power is strong – I had just vacuumed with a conventional ‘hoover’ and this unit still picked up copious amounts of fluff, dust and fine grit.
* Emptying is easy and cleaning is simple.
*On the wall storage means it doesn’t take up floor space in cupboards.
I don’t know the price therefore I can’t comment on value for money but my experience of Amazon Basics products is that they are of good quality and competitively priced.
