Bought this after looking at you tube videos on how to replace a broken joy con stick on my daughters switch. Cheaper than sending it in to a repair shop or buying a new controller. I followed the video step by step. You need patience and concentration as the screws etc inside the controller are so small but from someone who is not technical at all I managed it no problem. The joy con controller is the exact same as original one and the tools that came with it were excellent. So glad I purchased.

I had two left joy cons to repair (usual drifting problem – even with recalibrating) and it took me only 20 min to change them both with the set of tools provided, and the video.
You got to be very careful not to damage anything when you open and remove the parts, and it should work like a charm. I didn’t even have to recalibrate them after swapping for the new ones.

Excellent value for money
Bought this as my son had issues with drift on his Nintendo Switch. Arrived very quickly, well packaged and with all the tools needed as well as 2 joy con thumb stick replacements. Only one was needed. Followed the instructions on the Amazon page (instructions not included in packaging), and although a tad fiddly (most of this was putting back the cables back in place) the complete repair was done in around 20 minutes. Well worth the money.
I have found this item to have solved my issue with two drifting control analogue joysticks on my Nintendo Switch. Easy to follow instructions, a fabulous price, much better than having to buy new controllers, or sending off to Nintendo (which I have done in the past!) For 7.99 I have been able to repair both of my dodgy controllers and my son could not be happier! I have done this job before BUT my grandchildren were visiting and asked me to fix their controllers.
Ordered this and it arrived the following day, everything needed is included.
The quality of the screwdrivers is best described as adequate, they do the job but probably won’t last for years. That doesn’t really matter because for the price, I would order another set like this and get new ones if I need to do this job again.
The parts for the controller are perfect, job done and the grand children went away happy.
Just replaced the joysticks on a pair of joycons, set had everything needed, tools seem decent quality. Followed a youtube video and it was no trouble. Will have to see how they do life wise, but they were totally dead before, and this was a lot cheaper than buying some new ones, and a lot less hassle than trying to get Nintendo to fix them.
Lets start by saying that the product itself is great. My daughter’s switch controller started to drift and whilst this was sorted first time with a dose of compressed air, it then started to drift again. With this, I managed to replace the defective part almost without issue. The first one I fitted, didn’t work properly so I swapped it out with the second component which worked without issue. I messaged the company to tell them that one of the components were defective and they very quickly remedied this so 10 out of 10 for customer service too. Delivery was spot on, the tools that are provided made the job easy as the screwdrivers are the exact size needed for the job. I did have to get out a magnifying glass but I feel that is more to do with my age than anything else. So, yeah, saved me about 60 for new controllers and can’t flaw the customer service at all.

Excellent product! We had two sets of controllers and both had issues with the thumb sticks. I bought one kit and ended up ordering a second kit the next day. They were easy to install and worked perfectly straight away. Well worth the money and time.
My other half got a switch with a phone deal and one of the joycons had a stick that didn’t want to click in. Ordered this and had it repaired within 20 minutes. The parts are fiddly so you’ll need some patience.

What can I say about these other than they are perfect for replacing broken/fault joysticks in your joy-cons.
These work for both joy-cons (left and right), and following a simple guide you can find on YouTube, all tools are provided for you to easily fix up your joy-cons.
Having had these installed for over 2 months, and been through vigorous usage, I can certainly say these are perfect for the job. The only criticism I could say about these, is they feel a bit rough when you first get them, but given a week of usage they end up feeling great.
Update: 6 months on, these are still working perfectly and the joysticks feel perfect. I have recently purchased a second set of these to repair a family members joy con drift issue, and these worked/fit perfectly like the first set and have completely resolved the issue. I could not recommend these more than I already have.

I’d recommend getting a better tri-tip screwdriver as I did strip 2 screws. Needed to calibrate the joystick after installation, but apart from that, they work well!

Make sure you watch a few videos beforehand to familiarise yourself with the fitting. Pretty fiddly to fit as the internal ribbons are tiny and after a few choice words and a couple of drams to steady my hands it actually works brilliantly and is still fine a few months later, I still can’t believe it :).

I tried a different set of replacements from another seller before these, which started drifting after only a few hours. I returned them and decided I’d try these next, and once they arrived I could immediately tell they were of much better build quality (much smoother feeling rotation and satisfying L3/R3 clicks). We used this product to fix our Nintendo Joy con Joysticks. One of them was seriously drifting. The other one was fine but with this purchase you get x2 replacement analogs so we just replaced both. I have to say, we followed a you tube tutorial and found it easy enough. It’s been a couple of weeks now and they have been fine and lasted so far. Two happy kids again. Amazing and such a bargain. I accidentally snapped the stick off the left joy con and used this to try and avoid nearly 40 to replace.
It worked and I’m thrilled.
Instructions on the video were great and easy to follow. All the tools needed are included in this set.
The process is a bit fiddly and I would suggest two people for this (one to hold things steady or to shine a torch to help).
Watch out for the two screwdrivers as one is Y and the other a small Phillips (they are clearly marked but I didn’t read properly and ended up ruining one of the screws).

These Joy Con Analog Sticks are spot on! They arrived quickly and well packaged and look just like the original ones. Surprisingly easy to install too. The product was in outstanding conditions and working.
I suggest to use the instrucion on the video suggested. It takes some time if you are not used to this kind of work, but all worthy (saving 60).
If it’s not working immediately, do not disperate. Just go in the Switch system option and recalibrate the Joycon and the motion sensors. It worked for me.
Fiddly but worth i
My first change of this type and was a little fiddly to do, but was just like the images and video helped explain some more on the ribbon change. The tools were all helpful. The actual control stick seems to have better feedback than the original Nintendo one. Didn’t need to calibrate and has no drift.

Nintendo won't fix your drifting joycon? Fix it yourself!
After getting fed up with Nintendo of Europe’s dismal customer service after they decided joycon drift wasn’t their fault or their problem, I decided to take matters into my own hands. This kit was cheap and came with everything needed to replace the faulty joystick in my left joycon. It was slightly nerve-wracking and fiddly but the step-wise instructions were clear and accurate. The first of the two replacement joysticks didn’t work properly so I took it out and threw it across the room. The second one seems to work fine so now I have a drift-free left joycon for the first time in two years. The moral of the story is: Nintendo of Europe don’t care about their customers and they suck.
I did a little research on which thumbsticks to buy because I didn’t want to get something that would feel cheap, or not as good as the real thing. Well, I made the right choice. The kit came with the sticks, as well as some plastic wedges, screwdrivers and tweezers. I didn’t use the screwdrivers because I already have a decent set from iFixit, but the tweezers are great quality and were absolutely necessary for inserting the ribbon cables and I’ll definitely be using them for other things in future.
Most importantly though, after about 5 – 10 minutes of getting it fitted, the joycon drift is completely gone! The thumbstick feels great, slightly better than the other one (maybe because that’s now a few years old and not been replaced) and works exactly as it should. I seriously haven’t noticed any downsides at all, and I’ve got a spare from this 2 pack should the other one ever fail me.
If you’re looking at the many options not knowing what to go for then I hope this helps… this kit contains great quality components, just the right amount of extras to get the job done and no more, came quickly and was a brilliant price. Just buy it.

Much cheaper than a new Joy Co
So glad to have discovered this product. All the necessary tools plus two joysticks, so really this is saving the cost of two joy cons. Not quite as easy to carry out the replacement as it looks in the youtube video, but I managed in under 15 minutes with bad eyesight and numb fingers.
Highly recommended
No problem with this replacement stick (I’ve only fitted one at the minute), exact fit and stopped the dreaded stick drift. There’s a design issue with these sticks in general, but they’re not very difficult to replace as long as you’re gentle. Hopefully someone will create sticks that are more robust in the future.
The best way I’ve found for the right joy con is to leave all connectors in place. The mid frame can be unscrewed and moved out of the way with only moving the antenna pcb (grey lead) without disconnecting it, the Zr/Zl button cable (be careful as it’s very fragile!) or the battery connector.
The two screws that hold the stick in can then be accessed, although the gasket is a little fiddly when removing. This leaves only the ribbon cable for the stick to disconnect, and the tools supplied helped with this.
Hopefully they will last a reasonable amount of time before having to swap them again!
Cheap and easy fix for known fault!
Very happy with product, comes with instructions and a link to a YouTube video. Tools were good quality especially the screwdrivers. A much cheaper way to sort Nintendo Joy Con drift which is very very common. The price of replacing the controller’s were over 50 the price for two sticks less then a tenner. I now have a spare if I need one as I only replaced one.

Order the joysticks on Monday night, they we with me Tuesday morning. Fitted by lunchtime that day took 20 minutes following the link to the YouTube instructions all the tools were provided in the kit.
My switch is now back up and running with no joy con drift. Tested by my daughter she didn’t even notice the difference compared to her new Switch.

I brought this as my sons joycon had really severe drift, the delivery was prompt and well packaged, with all the tools required to do the fix. I found the pictures that are online with this item a little confusing so I just watched a couple of videos on u tube, and within 30 minutes had it fitted and working great, with having a bonus of a spare.
