A handy little kit for replacing thumbsticks from Nintendo Switch Joycons – I didn’t want to wait for Nintendo to repair my drifting controller, so this seemed like a perfect option. The replacement process was pretty quick and simple, and the kit provided everything I needed including 2 joysticks. The most fiddly part requires reconnecting a small cable using the tweezers, but even this only took a few attempts.
The newly repaired Joycon has been working well with no drifting for several months now, while my original joystick was already beginning to have issues after about this long. Overall, huge success and I’d recommend going with this option over buying a new controller if you have a drifting stick.
Ordered and delivered very promptly as normal. Everything as stated in package. However when I fitted the first one in the controller it was wandering and would not calibrate. The second was fine. So I emailed the supplier and had a quick reply. Listened to the problem and sent a new pack that arrived today. Good customer service

Daughter broke her joy stick on her controller. Instead of paying 40 plus for a new one, I decided to give this a go. Followed the step by step guide and works perfectly fine.
I bought these replacement joysticks because the joystick on the left joy-con had developed bad drift and would intermittently become unresponsive when pulled to the south position. I only replaced the joystick and I chose to follow a written guide at iFixit rather than watch a YouTube video.
The supplied tools get the job done but don’t give the impression of being particularly durable.
After fitting and calibration the drift issue was gone, and now (a week later) is still gone. The joy-con feels and acts like new although the springs on the replacement feel ever-so-slightly stiffer than the stock joysticks on the other three joy-cons I have. The difference, frankly, is hardly worth mentioning and is not a problem for me (I can be quite intolerant when things aren’t quite right). I honestly don’t think the difference will be an issue for most people but it is there in the joystick I received so I mention it in case those sorts of tiny differences do matter to you.
Overall I’m pleased with my purchase.

Tools aren’t brilliant but fit for purpose grandson hasn’t broken the joycons as of yet definitely a good buy rather than paying Nintendo to repair or replace them the instructions are clear too

My left joycon was tracking really bad so replaced it with this. Was a little fiddley but it works fantastic and feels the same as original.
So I used this kit to fix my joycons and after watching the vid for the right joycon and fixing it successfully I tried to fix the left one I broke the ribbon cable for the l and minus button but it was completely my fault and was caused by me not watching the tutorial for the left joycon but other than that it is a flawless produc

Thumb sticks were suffering from drift on a continental level, turned up quickly as always with prime, used the images on the description page as instructions, joycons now working perfectly. Super (Mario)
No real issue here however the joycon was beyond repair but the parts will come in useful at some poi
Had to purchase due to the original left hand joycon drifting. Very happy with the quality of these analogue sticks. Has fixed the problem and can’t really feel any difference from the originals which is a good thing.
If your not careful the screwdrivers provided can quite easily round off screws. They are decent quality but are not a 100% fit to the screw heads. I use tools for a living so used to undoing screws and still nearly rounded 1 or 2 off. I decided to replace the shells since I was taking the joycons to bits and the screwdriver I received with the shells was much better.
To sum up very good analogue sticks…..screw drivers will do the job but you need to be careful. Overall I recommend buying

I needed to replace both joysticks, I followed the video which was very clear, the fiddly parts are a bit frustrating but the tools provided and the explanations got me through it without having a meltdown.

All I can say are these where absolutely perfect. I thought my controllers where dead but about 15 mins work and both are now working perfectly
Bought this kit to sort the analogue drift on one of my joycons. The drift could not be rectified by calibrating the controller. The job was fiddly, but by following the instructions it was completed in less than 30 minutes. After reassembling, the joycon was almost spot on before recalibration.
Followed a YouTube tutorial easy to fit and much cheaper than buying new joycons great produc
Ordered these on the hope they can be used for switch lite as all the information was for joycons.
Pleased to say they are compatible with switch lite and great price and you get all the tools you need to fix my son NSL.
Took around 15mins to fix with the help of a YouTube video.

You get all the tools u need to fix the drifting issue on the joy-con. My only gripe is with the spudger. I wish it were narrow, because trying to disconnect the battery cable is a pain.
So glad I purchased these. Great price, fairly easy to fit & now the kids Nintendo Switch is working perfectly again & hasn’t cost much.

So happy I stumbled across this kit. Was looking at buying replacement joycons as the left controller did nothing but drift.
Kept putting off as expensive to replace but was going to for Xmas until I found this.
You get all the tools and equipment you need to replace. There is a YouTube link included however I found it very simple and easy to follow the photo guide on here.
Slightly fiddly as you would expect with such small components but so worthwhile and a huge money saver if you take a little time to fix yourself.
**Be warned a spring pinged out whilst removing the battery case, pictures don’t really show where it would have come fromturns out it was for the top left trigger just something to be mindful of**
All good, fixed the issue with controller moving on its own.
We shouldnt have to do this, but as we do, this is the best way to do it.
