I highly recommend this product and anker as a company. For the price, this is probably the best speaker on the market.

I usually buy Bose but took the plunge having bought into anker charging products. Sound is amazing. Better than Bose. Excellent bass and sound quality.

I was looking for a FM/DAB radio + Bluetooth + superb sound quality, and this one is a best chose, of course not for the highest price (you can find something better but it will be in 2-3 times more expensive). Would be great if they add a built in FM/DAB radio in some newer versions.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhat can I say this is a great little product. Battery life is huge, I use it every day and only charge it every few weeks. The sound quality is superb and bluetooth pairing is the slickest device I have ever used. Some devices can be picky when changing input very often but this ones switches seamlessly, Anker have done a really good job on that. Aesthetically its great too, the handle on the top is super convenient meaning you can easily take it around with you. And finally it truly is waterproof. It has become a firm favourite to throw it in the pool for an underwater disco (for the kids) i also take it out paddle boarding on the front of the board.

I hardly ever write reviews, but this speaker is pretty good. I thought the handle will look awkward, but it’s very useful.

Out of all my amazon purchases, this is my favourite. The sound is incredible for the price. Battery life goes on for ever too. I’ve had it for a ages & it still works perfectly.
And yes I’m drunk & listening to music in the garden while doing a review.

Booming sound if wanted , very impressed, considering the relatively low cost. Compact easy to carry. So far so good

Good loud, bass speaker and is rugged too, it’s only main failing is the battery life that falls far lower than is stated, at full volume from a full charge it lasts around 8 hours max before dying, then takes upwards of 10 hours to recharge.

I had high expectations based on other reviews, but I think for the price it’s a quality piece of audio equipment that has just about lived up to them.

Can’t fault it for the money. It’s very good outside, when facing towards you. I found that it does need a EQ setup to get the most out of it, but that was not an issue for me.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI cannot rate this fantastic speaker highly enough. The build quality is superb, setup is a doddle (as you would expect with a modern bluetooth speaker).

What I can’t get over is the sound quality. For a speaker at this price point, I have never heard such a great noise. Bass is fantastic, and across the range the sound quality is unsurpassed. I actually have a Bose speaker and although the Bose is slightly smaller, this actually beats it on sound quality.

Batter life is fantastic. Had it running for a full 8 hours in the office and barely made a dent in the charge. I can fully believe it will make the quoted 24 hours play time. The addition of a USB port in the back for charging external devices is a really nice touch, and very handy.

If you have been considering one of these, stop it – just buy it. You won’t regret it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOh my! What a speaker! After hours of reading reviews, watching YouTube videos I finally decided to purchase this speaker. Iv been using a little 17 speaker which in its own right was pretty good for what it was and the price but just not good enough. After setting this beauty up and finally pressing play I paused the music within 10 seconds and literally said out loud WOW the sound is amazing and the bass is incredible! I’d post a video but honestly it wouldn’t do this speaker justice AT ALL! Indoors 50% volume is VERY loud! At 100% it blows your socks off! And the best part is even at 100% volume you don’t lose the base like you do with some other top brand speakers! So yeah all in all I’m totally blown away and would strongly recommend this speaker if like me you wanted something that will give you great bass and amazing sound! Buy it!

I write less reviews by default these days as there just isn’t enough time in a day. However, I make exception for products that exceed expectations.

Lets set the scene here. I’m in the middle of moving house and my usual hifi system (Audiolab/Dynaudio separates in in storage). This speaker came up on Amazon day in July at 69 so I bought it as a solution to replace the silence in my office.

So given my usual hifi is a mid to high end system, how is this filling the gap?

A month in and for the money I’m surprised its anywhere near as good as it is. Of course its not audiophile, its a sub 100 quid portable plastic tub. However I applaud it on the following points:

    1. It sounds much bigger than its diminutive size would suggest deceiving your ears into thinking you could be listening to something bigger
    2. Connectivity via bluetooth has been bang on with iPhone 12 Pro via Bluetooth with no drops as yet
    3. Battery life is solid, it ran a whole day in the garden at moderate volumes
    4. Its simple to operate, and using the app its far more stable / easy to update than the Bose Revolve Plus in our kitchen
    5. Its a miracle something this portable and light (eg I will take it on holiday) performs so well overall
    6. The bass chamber system them employ makes it sound fuller than any speaker this small speaker should dare to sound
    7. The app allows you to update the firmware and build personalised sound profiles so you can tweak the sound to suit ears/music preference

Whats less good? (And I’m being picky)
    1. The treble extension from the titanium drivers is a tad flat even with high equalisation adjustment (for my taste). The high frequency notes sound the slightest bit artificial / processed to my ear, but by no means bad
    2. This issue relates to all ‘all-in-one’ speakers; spatial separation. Its not there at all as all the drivers are within 30cm of each other. Our Bose is the sane, and it might be improved by daisy chaining a second speaker in ‘party’ mode, but for me this would kill the simplicity / convenience of the one box solution
    3. The inner tweeter mids are protected behind solid mesh, but the two end woofer drivers that sit on the ends of the unit are exposed to allow unimpeded movement. Sticky little fingers might just get involved with these!

Success with this speaker is largely dependent on having the presence of mind to charge it if you want to use it outdoors, and then placing it in a corner indoors to optimise the bass response indoors. It does sound a little lost outdoors when it’s not got something for the bass drivers to reflect against, but then you can use the double bass setting to infill.

If you can set your expectations that it won’t ever blow your ear drums apart with high volumes, and can accommodate the minor niggles set out above, I think it would be hard to spend much less and see any significant improvement . Ok, it wont fit in your pocket like some, but in almost every other way it delivers a performance that will meet 95% of general listeners needs with incredibly little frustration. Buy, find a suitable corner, tweak the treble and bass slightly and enjoy

Based on it's size it's fairly impressive speake

I don’t leave many reviews. Forget everything else, Bose, Bang & Olufsen, Harman Kardon, Sanos or what ever you may think is a good purchase for reasonable price. This is by far the best value for money speaker you can buy if you’re in the market for something this size. The sound clarity is stunning and the base incredible. The battery goes on for ever. The product is extremely sturdy and you can control so much from the app. I would highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed!

Very impressed with this device, it runs for a long time in between charges, and has solid bass and a good quality sound. It’s not ‘Apple HomePod’ or ‘Bose Speaker’ quality, but it is very good for a speaker of this kind and has good presence, even in open areas.

The build quality is impressive – its rugged and can handle rain, sawdust and mud (ive been using it in my garden while doing building work).

Once you have it setup as a bluetooth device on your phone, it connects almost straight away when you turn it on.

Very happy with it, and worth the extra spend for a device in this category.

If you want a good powerful speaker system you can take and use anywhere this is a very good option. The sound quality is excellent with optional base boost. I am blind and love a good sound. Unfortunately, the iPhone app is not accessible using the voiceover screen reader so I couldn’t use it.

Wanted to buy a indoors speaker that will be source of music for the party. Got this speaker and then noticed it is portable wanted to return it because thought it will be too weak. I was surprised! I took it out and gave it a try and I was amazed with quality of the sound! Really good price to quality ratio. It is still not as ‘loud’ as I wanted (I have really old school speaker of this shape for CDs and it is far louder but I don’t have any CDs left to play with it, so really need Bluetooth equivalent ).

    1. Sound is really decent
    2. Portable – it is actually great feature even for indoor use (speaker can be far from electricity supply and still works well)
    3. Long lasting battery

Arrived we’ll packaged and I was surprised with the weight and the quality.Nothing fancy to look at but feels premium quality when your holding it.
Bigger than I expected and ashame that either end don’t have a grill to protect the little woofer’s,if to go in a suitcase for your holiday.
I’m also slightly disappointed it doesn’t have a micro SD card slot,as most Bluetooth speakers do,must rely on your phone etc
The sound is loud and as clear as possible,as it doesn’t have separate tweeters like it’s new big brother.
If the had tweeters and a SD card slot, this would sound amazing for its size.
The Bass is nice but sometimes I feel like it disappears for a second or two and comes back, can’t explain what I mean, lol.
    Overall,I’m pleased with it .
I use the app with treble preset and Bass On and the sounds fairly nice.
As for being water proof or if it floats, not tested yet, lol.
    At the moment,it has a 20 Off voucher,making it 74.99.
Oh,you can add more speakers which is nice, two of these would sound nice.If the price drops more,I will purchase another.

Soundcore ,add Tweeters and grills for woofer’s and SD card slot and aux this would be a best seller for 99.99.

The app only gives you 4 presets I think and you can custom your own.Bass on or off,Switch speaker off.Has a timer before it auto switches off, volume control.
    Also update firmware via app.
I gave it 4 Stars,I love my music and I’m fussy about the sound quality at home or in my car and even headphones and earbuds,I like clear mids and treble and a nice bass that has some depth if need be,as the bass makes all the difference,as long as it’s not drowning the mids and treble out.
Treble preset with bass on,sounds nice, could have been amazing with tweeters….but still sounds great for its size.
    Will buy another of these.
My 2nd Boom arrived and boy does it sound great, half volume is plenty loud, they pair up perfectly and I’m well pleased.Back up to 5 Stars.Battery on this is really great, lasts for ages.
    App makes all the difference.

I have the bose mini which ,granted is much smaller (though similar in weight) which I thought would never be beaten.

This speaker is better in the following ways

    1. Awesome bass but not booming
2.Bass is very controlled and controllable with boost button on the speaker and full equaliser in the app
3.vocal are always clear regardless of bass setting bose I had to fidle with eq often as bass was often boomy and swamped vocals
    4.totally water and dust proof
5.battery like is as advertised at normal listening volume solid 20h +

No downside so far , Could stand to be a touch smaller , that’s about i

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWow why havent i reviewed it yet. Been over a year now that this bad boy been wowing everyone i know. Sure it costs like a budget soundbar, but believe me, it sounds better and is portable! Place it back to the wall, and the bass is amplified greatly. Go to your app, set custom eq like i have, you will have deep bass, clearest vocals and highs. It sounds out of this world on this preset. You will NOT be disappointed. Overall, paid 80 quid, and already think it was a steal. 63 on blabk friday? Buy 2 !!!!! In stereo, they sound so amazing its just ridiculous. Have your friend buy one, play both at parties. It is unreal… Rating it 6 out of 5 as u get way more than you pay for.
    Pros
Strong build, at lowest 60hz bass starts vibrating the air giving a feel of 20hz bass, lasts forever, easy carry handle to move with dirty hands while doing diy or chores (jbl would look like a mop), value for money king!
    Cons
Bit Bulky, bt 5.0 signal gets blocked easily, not cheap

Best speaker for buck, dont buy cheap 40 quid speaker, you will 1. Have no bass and 2. Will break it. Buy cheap buy twice. This is solid quality amazing sounding speaker. Go buy one on sale and join the club. Make sure to set EQ like on my pic

Clear strong sound, with boomy bass

I was so impressed with the Anker Soundcore Motion Boom that I bought a second one the following day. I now use the TWS function (True Wireless Stereo). The whole system is flawless its very simple to TWS connect a secondary speaker and Bluetooth. The best part is the APP which allows you to select a number of preset EQs or customise your own. The runtime is dependent on the chosen volume at 75% I got just over 7 hours off a full charge. The speakers can double as a power bank to charge devices. Excellent Bass that you can feel and I highly recommend it. The only con is no Auxillary input but it’s not a deal-breaker for me.

Ever wanted to retaliate against neighbours who start drilling/sawing on your ceiling on your day off? This is the fella for you.

Ever wanted to have a wild outside BBQ whilst cutting a tree down whilst still hearing your bassline? This is the fella for you.

Honestly, for the price, I can’t recommend this product enough.

It’s wireless, waterproof, floats, goes loud AF for the size, has great battery life, and the sound quality at this price point is truly unbelievably good. Really good.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI don’t leave reviews very often, but this speaker is worth my review. For the past week I have been searching for a good speaker, I was so confused which one to chose as I wanted to buy a good one. So I searched and read one review where was said that someone’s sister had JBL and she heard the sound of Anker speaker and bought the Anker. I already have JBL but got charging problem so wasn’t sure I would go for JBL again and didn’t know what to chose. This speaker is amazing, so loud, the bass – WOW I’m really impressed with it. Very clear sound which I love it. Absolutely recommend it to whoever is looking for a good and loud speaker with the bass, don’t even hesitate and just go for it. This Anker speaker is even better than my 100W Daewoo barrel speaker. I’m very happy I found what I was looking for Oh and battery is still good after a few days of playing Love this speake

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersOut of the box sound was fairly hollow and disappointing even though it had a much better Bass than my Soundcore1, I was thinking of sending it back and buying a much more expensive speaker but after downloading the app and setting up the EQ it comes alive with great tones.

You won’t regret buying this but you 100% need to download the app to adjust the EQ

It’s a great time to purchase too as ATM it has a discount voucher code (may require amazon assistant browser plugin for voucher code)

I won’t be adding any EQ graphs (everyone should adjust to their preferred settings)

[EDIT] Well they did it again… the New ‘Soundcore Boom Plus’ came out so I had to get it, this will now become a spare/backup just in case I ever need it or someone wants to lend it for a BBQ on the beach.

UPDATE[30/04/22] My sister came round and heard this playing and immediately opted to buy one to replace her JBL Xtreme 3 – the main reason is the JBL reduces Bass when the volume is cranked up and the Soundcore doesn’t do that.

Held off writing a review for a few months until I’d put this through its paces.

In short it’s an amazing bit of kit for the money. Controllable through a free app, you can set custom EQ settings with it (if like me you enjoy listening to a mixture of old skool and modern tracks with varying mastering compression levels) that can be changed with the touch of a button in app. You can even turn the speaker off with the app when in range too.

Lightweight with a grab handle and no bigger than a kids shoe box, this thing packs a punch. Placement is everything, like with most all in one speaker systems, but on the whole this thing delivers alot for the money.

The bass cones remind me of a miniature bazooka bass tube (if you remember those), and deliver an incredible amount of bass for their relative size. Mid and tweeter speakers sound is well defined and plenty loud enough, with dynamic range present even at high volumes.

Buy one, they’re usually a bit cheaper on Prime days , but in all honesty, you won’t be disappointed.

Fully waterproof and with a phone/accessory charging doc in the rear to keep you topped up, cannot complain.

A very pleasing purchase if you want a very capable speaker ahead of the summer months, or just to have high fidelity sound while taking a shower.

This product is one of these rare purchases that exceed expectations. Was looking for a decent Bluetooth speaker to listen to stuff streamed from my Samsung Galaxy. Watched a few favourable videos on youtube after the product came up as a recommendation on Amazon, and after dismissing similar products from more well-known brands, decided to purchase. Amazon delivery was spot-on, (came the next day) and the speaker is well packaged complete with a USB type C lead and instructions. Thankfully, the unit had 60% charge right out of the box, so after a glance at the quick-start manual, and downloading the app, the speaker was up and running. The sound does not disappoint and can reproduce music just how you like it thanks to the customisations possible with the equalizer. If you like bass, there’s plenty here, and distortion-free up to significant levels of volume. Surprisingly, even non bass-heavy music can sound sharp and well-balanced. The design of the unit is excellent – the handle being a great feature to ease portability. With its rugged and solid build, the speaker should be durable enough to brush off accidental knocks and falls from outdoor use. It’s rare to buy something these days that exceed expectations, but this speaker does. So glad I didn’t go for one of the big name brands at 3 or more times the cost.

I have several speakers i use including Bose, Klipsch and JBL but for the money this unit comes out on top.
It connected to my i-phone straight away, i recommend installing the Soundcore app as you can play around with the EQ settings and this makes a massive difference.
The bass for a quite compact speaker is excellent and doesn’t seem to distort the higher you push it.
I have mainly purchased this to take away on camping trips and to use in the garden mainly due to the massive 24hour battery life.
I bought this at the Amazon discounted price so feel i really have an excellent Bluetooth speaker for not a lot of money.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ordered it for the 94 quid price in the evening an CD then saw it had dropped in price on the very next day.
I emailed Anker and they very kindly refunded some of the money. So I really appreciate that.
As for the speaker, pound for pound champion, as reviewed by Alan on you tube. He’s the man when it comes to bt speaker reviews.
The sound is warm and loud. The deep bass is impressive for such a small speaker.
I personally like the look of it, it’s square and a bit boring, but I don’t want lots of flashing lights etc.
There’s no aux out so don’t go looking for one. Doesn’t matter to me in only use BT.
Charge with a standard 5v charger in about for hours.
The best bit is the app where you can fix your own multi band eq signature which you can’t do with many of the more expensive units.
    Overall, very happy.
    Thanks Anke

Pleasantly surprised by the sound quality and volume of this great little speaker. Very fast bluetooth hook up, super loud (my neighbour mentioned it in passing!). If you put on your favourite tune, set it about half volume and hold it up in front of your nose…. you kind of get enveloped in sound. Hard to describe, just give it a try!
My only gripe (and it’s small) is that there isn’t much protection for the 2 subwoofers, I worry I might accidently damage them. A mesh over this (like on the other speakers) would help on the next version of this.
Apart from that, love it, total bargain.

Bought for 67 on offer and can say with absolute certainty that you can’t buy anything that gives this quality and depth of sound that this unit gives. You may sacrifice a bit of detail that a dedicated tweeter gives but once you play with the eq in the app you can put a bit of that back in. Without the app it sounds okay, but once you start to customise the sound to how you like, that’s when it starts to bring out the best of what this thing can do. Proper bass that you can feel, with sound that is easy to listen to, at good volume, all for over half the price of a Sonos Roam. I put next to the motionplus, and it’s really no contest. Just buy it. It’s that good.

    Believe the hype!

I bought this speaker to use outdoor and indoor. The sound quality is good, I’m pleased with the bass and loudness is average. There is very little noise, almost unnoticeable and when the volume is lowest you might not notice the bass but as you rev the volume up it hits you. I have not tried this speaker outdoor but the performance indoor is satisfactory. Anker has a great customer service who are not only helpful but also honest and polite. They gave me discount on purchase as promised and the item was delivered earlier than expected. I am pleased with my purchase and might buy a second one for stereo pairing. I definitely will be recommending this produc

Very pleased.

This is a great Bluetooth speaker, once you configure is from it’s default mode, the accompanying app is excellent it has pre-set configurations which are ok but to use the speakers full potential you can customise the sound profile to you own tase. The thing I like the most about this speaker is you can have the volume low and still enjoy the full range of sound drome deep base to Hight treble. I heartily recommend this speaker if you buy one, I guarantee you not be disappointed.

I have a Marshall Stanmore Bluetooth speaker as my main speaker but fancied something more portable and rechargeable, I looked at quite a few options costing up to three times the price but the positive reviews for this were too good to ignore. What a cracking little speaker it is and when tweaked using the dedicated App’s graphic equaliser, it gives my Marshall a run for it’s money and it’s waterproof too!

I am no expert on these things by any means but after having used a small Anker speaker for 2/3 years and been quite impressed I thought this would be a sound choice.
And it is. Using the app to personalise the sound, it has good definition across the range and as much volume as I need in the garage and garden and frankly could easily annoy the neighbours if you went on full volume. It is robust and so far the battery life has been very good. In fact I have charged it only once and that seems ages ago! I’d recommend it.

I was in the market for a new Bluetooth speaker to replace my now ancient Bose soundlink, but didn’t want to spend Boses “premium” prices again. I looked online and this Anker Motion Boom speaker kept coming up in the popular top ten lists etc. All the rave reviews seemed a bit too good to be true, but the price is very reasonable so I thought why not give it a go, I can always send it back. Well, the reviews were right. This is a fantastic speaker.

The size and weight is reasonable and portable enough for my “around the house” use case. But it’s definitely closer to a boom box than a pocket friendly speaker. The Bluetooth connectivity has been flawless. I can keep the speaker playing whilst I move around my house with my phone. The battery life is brilliant, I seriously doubt it would be possible for the average user to run this down to 0% in 24 hours. For context I’m charging it once a week on average. The sound quality is also far above what you can reasonably expect in this price range. I’ve set mine up with a custom EQ (which is another often overlooked feature in “name brand” speakers) but the stock sound is great too. LOTS of bass and absolutely no distortion no matter what I throw at it. I took it to a Christmas party and it genuinely filled a room with deep sound. This speaker can comfortably get antisocially loud if you choose. Which I sometimes do.

Overall I’m very pleased. One of the only times hype around a “cheap” alternative tech product has actually been warranted. If you’re happy with the form factor I think this will please anyone.

    WOW…certainly lives up to reviews.
Once the EQ is tweeked via the Soundcore App, this thing is sublime across all frequencies…at all volumes.
Bass is so deep and smooth without muddying up the mids and highs whatsover…huge dynamic range, zero harshness…incredible reproduction of all genres.
I made a couple of EQ curves for subtle tuning of Rock/Metal and Dance genres.
With more tinkering one could find an EQ setting as a sweet spot for all styles I’m sure. Your EQ is embedded in the speaker software…set and forget.
Particularly impressive is how this thing handles the extreme transients in Classical music, worth a mention here.
Motion Boom is a do it all package at a great price.
If you manage your expectations with regard to outright volume then I promise a sublime listening experience for all.
Ive just got a second one to pair up as a stereo L/R via the TWS function.
Haven’t tried this yet but even with a single unit…mind blown…kudos Soundcore, I salute you.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe video doesn’t sound remotely close to what I’m hearing with my ears. There are rich bass notes that reverberate around the room which the camera isn’t picking up. The sound is unbelievable. Bluetooth setup is easy and was completed in 15 seconds.

I’ve always purchased Anker products so when I decided to upgrade my Soundcore Boost the Motion Boom was the obvious choice. The sound quality is fantastic but the real difference is the bass. The boost used to struggle and distort on some songs but the Motion Boom plays them with ease but at a much higher volume. The device itself is very light and the battery life so far is excellent. For under 65 it’s highly recommended.

I bought this speaker after seeing great reviews on youtube. I wanted something with a little extra punch compared to my Bose Revolve speaker, and this does that at a great price. It’s sound at high volume maintains its quality without distortion. I haven’t yet used it outside but it provides great depth and volume with its two speakers and subs at either end. Being able to see the subs physically vibrate with the bass is really satisfying. Overall I was really impressed with the sound quality, especially after tweaking the equaliser on the app. For the price, it’s a no brainier.

Got this for my parents as they were looking for a speaker for a while. I have been using the Motion+ for quite some time and saw this Motion Boom was on offer on Black Friday so pulled the trigger and bought it. Excellent speaker but still think that if a 24h battery life and the ability to charge other devices off of it are of no importance to you (they were of great importance to my parents), the Motion+ is the better choice as it produces an overall better sound and is a lot more portable than the Motion Boom.
Not to fault the Motion Boom in any way, it’s excellent as it is and does everything that’s advertised on the box and with flying colours. It would probably be more suited for the outdoors as bigger speakers can fill a bigger space better than the small speakers.
It is also worth mentioning that Soundcore belongs to Anker and I cannot recommend that company enough. Have been a long time customer and will gladly buy anything from them if the need arises as they offer great quality products at fair prices that are backed up by great customer support (if it ever gets to that).
All in all, I do not regret buying it and am sure the parents are going to love it.

I got so many emotions and impressions from this small dude that I cannot wait to share them with you.

    Pros
    1) It is small, but you can make it sound really big and loud, if you move all toggles in the custom equalizer upwards to the maximum. 30 Watts of power will sound as if they were 50 watts or more.
    2) You can fine tune it to a VERY high quality sound (probably due to titanium drivers) despite SBC codec and this is a HUGE surprise
    3) Lightweight and portable, but I recommend protecting its plastic sides with hard case when transported
    4) Costs 80$, but sounds on the par with JBL Xtreme 3, which costs 350$ and reduces bass after 80% loudness (Boom does not reduce bass)
    5) Can be tuned by mobile application and custom EQ, which makes the speaker destroy competitors up to 350$ segment
    6) Install “Soundcore” app to tune several custom EQs and keep several sound profiles in custom EQ settings
    7) You will attract a lot of attention when listening to the music due to rich, loud, spacious sound and punchy bass. On the park bench or worn by the handle, it blows everything around you, it impresses a lot. Especially if you like disco, tehno, rap, r’n’b, dance, rock music or even instrumental tracks and a lot of vocals.
    8) Check custom EQ settings attached to the review. They are provided by some famous youtubers and will do the trick.

    Cons:
    1) Scratchy plastic requires a proper hard shell case
    2) Without custom EQ set via mobile app, speaker does not sound interesting in default settings
    3) Mobile application does not show battery charge in percentage
    4) Do not use bass boost button – it brings muddy bass
    5) No AUX output
    6) No AptX, AptxHD etc
    7) Competes inside its own brand with Anker Soundcore Motion+

Summary: even if the pros and cons are equally present, just try these EQ custom settings and you will be blown away literally. You do not need to spend a lot of money to get a really high quality sound.

The only decent competitors from sound quality perspective are
    – JBL Flip 6 (around 130$) right now (December 2021), but is has 20watts of power and it is definitely not a boombox
    – JBL Xtreme 3 – but it reduces bass after 80% of loudness, features 50 Watts of power, but costs around 350$

    This is a Nuclear Boombox

I’ve always bought JBL they’ve always died after a year of semi regular use.

In brief the sound in this is fab, except for the sound-stage you have to sit in front to truly enjoy the experience but that’s completely fine. Genuinely impressed with the output.

However the wow factor is the battery. A whole week in, with a lot of use I’ve not had to charge it up yet. It’s bizarre so much so that I suspect it’s alien technology 😐

If the FBI recover the device, I’ll update my review. For now, super happy with it.

This is speaker has a fantastic sound, particularly in the lower registers. Given that it doesn’t have a sub, the bass response is fantastic, way better than other speakers I tried (all the usual ‘big’ names). The rest of the sound register is also clear and not swamped by the bass, and there is an app to go along with the speaker which allows you to tweek the sound in an equaliser, which seems to work well. The only downside for some may be the size – it is on the large size, but easy to carry with the built in handle, and of course this undoubtabley contributes to the overall sound quality. I manage to get it at a bargain price in the Black Friday sale, but even at full price I haven’t seen or heard anything to compete with it.

OK, first off for the audiofools out there, these are not hi-fi, but as a portable BT speaker they are spot on. Bought one, took it on a week’s boat trip holiday, so impressed I bought a second. Two of them set up as a stereo pair work really well, more than enough volume to really annoy your neighbours at a bbq. SQ wise they are very good, being critical, the bass is loud but a bit one dimensional, and fiddling with the EQ doesn’t really fix it, speaking of which it’s best to download the app so you can make EQ adjustments and finer volume changes two, plus it acts as a remote. Ultimately they don’t sound as good as a pair of Sonos 1s, but then they cost more than double the price of the Soundcore so hardly surprising, plus the play 1s need a mains supply, but useful to put them into some context of SQ.
They feel solidly made, they’re waterproof as I left them out overnight in the rain. Battery life is very impressive, we used the single device for a couple of hours every day for a week and didn’t need to recharge once, though we were not playing it at high volumes.

Bought this a year ago today. Has has a few knocks but still working. Its pretty much my primary Bluetooth speaker. Its lightweight for a speaker this size so it’s easy to carry around, big battery, and as far as the sound goes it does mostly play down to “40hz”- its rolled off but its there – with the Soundcore App you can play around with the equaliser and dig out more of that deeper bass.
The speaker in person does have “warm” or “dark” characteristic to its sound if that makes sense. Of course you can always use the Soundcore’s App to EQ the sound to your own preference.
Its only fault (for me) is that is has a narrow soundstage you have to face it directly to get the best sound.
    I highly recommend this speaker.

“Bass down to 40hz” claim appears to be mostly true. Especially when you play around with the equaliser settings in the Soundcore App. That’s deep bass for a third of the price of other brands.
That deep bass does mean less clarity – anyone who heard similar sized speakers like W-King D8 or Xtreme 3 would know thats actually normal for a boombox this size.
    Highly recommended.

I’ve had little ‘brick’ type bluetooth speakers for ages, and was always pleased by what they delivered from such a small package. I wanted something with a bit more ‘oomph’, so treated myself to one of these.

What can I say? It’s a world apart from any other speaker I’ve heard. Nice and loud without distortion, punchy bass, good clarity for listening to podcasts, etc. No flashy, colour-changing lights or anything, just decent sound quality and apparently endless battery life.

I use it in the workshop, working out in the woods, in the kitchen… With the right audio, it’s easy to forget that this is just a little battery-powered speaker.

I’ve had the Anker Soundcore Mini for years, it’s been my go-to bluetooth speaker for the shower and has served me well but I’ve been looking for an upgrade for a while now that can be used for more..

I’ve been looking at JBL speakers such as the Xtreme 2/3 but just couldn’t bring myself to spend 270 on a Bluetooth Speaker that looks so ugly.

That’s where the Anker Soundcore Motion Boom comes in.. I thought the Soundcore Mini was good value for money but this is even better, not only does it look great but it sounds amazing.

The phone app is great, way better than the JBL app.. you can change a lot.

Battery life is great, feels like you could get more than 24h playtime depending on the volume.

Build quality is great and if it’s anything like the Soundcore Mini then it should be fine with being dropped.

I own or have owned Ruark, B&W zeppelin air, arcam amp and latterly, Marantz and Mission floor speakers. So, not top of the range, but good quality audio for my budget. I listen to folk, jazz, rock, country and blue grass. Little bit of classical. Some electronic on occasion.

This little 80 box of joy is just a pure delight. I haven’t put it up against my separates system, but I suspect it could give it a run on some styles.

I’m in love with the bass and the clarity and detail in the treble. It seems to bring the music to life. You know a speaker is really good when you start playing all your favourite tracks on it just to hear the differences and how the speakers breathe new life into them.

Its truly a remarkable speaker. I’m tempted to get a second and try the sync to provide stereo. I really think that could give a 1000 separates a run for its money.

Bear in my mind, however, I used the app, and tweaked the equaliser. Without this custom tweaking, the quality is a good notch lower in my opinion, in comparison to the preset options. I’ve screenshot the equaliser settings and added to this review.

The Bluetooth is solid. Rock solid. The connection is quick.

This speaker is so good, it’s shocking.

    Unsurpassed

The sound isn’t awesome but what should you expect for 80? Volume is loud enough to sing along to with some gusto, I use it in my noisy shop and it fills the space nicely but you need to place it close to a wall or in a window alcove to get the best sound, it becomes fuller and richer. The bass is far more detailed.

The battery life is impressive and the b/t connection is rapid and direct.

It’s a solid bit of kit and I’d buy it again and recommend it without a doubt.

I had the Bose mini 2, the battery died. A much smaller unit but I won’t buy again, the money doesn’t equal the output.

After checking reviews on YouTube for a good, no frills Bluetooth speaker I decided on this speaker. All I want is quality sound, big bass and plenty of battery life. This speaker does all of the above like a 300+ speaker. Out of the box you’ll want to hit that bass up button, at low volumes this will make that sound richer. This speaker really comes to life if you download the app which allows you to tweak really well and create the sound you need. I’ve got one set up for metal and one for techno.

I have been so impressed with this speaker and everyone else on the night shift has come to inspect where the miniature night club had appeared from. The speaker is too small and light to have any right being this good. It will not disappoint.

This is hands down the best Bluetooth speaker available by nature of its extended bass range and fully customisable EQ.

I can’t emphasise just how important being able to tweak the EQ is for getting the best possible sound, and it has a built in sub-woofer, so can even handle stuff like drum and bass.

It is, however, hideously ugly, and while I wish it didn’t have the stupid handle, for this price and sound quality it could be shaped like an actual inflamed haemorrhoid and I would still tell you to buy It over anything else.

For anyone after that particular speaker that will cut through on the beach in the garden or pretty much anywhere this is the one. Like anything I was sceptical reading all the amazing reviews, a product just couldn’t be that good could it? Actually this is. Like any product from the anker Family it was a breeze to set up and connect to my iPhone. For the size of the speaker the sound quality is truly epic with some amazing deep bass from something so small. when I was testing it out in my back garden, my neighbour genuinely thought I was testing out one of my DJPA speakers on a decent volume, he too was blown away by the sound achieved from this little box. Again with all these products the battery life is superb, only charged at a couple of times and had tons of use out of it, also debility to charge another device off the back of it is in this day and age and necessity. If I had anything to point out about the sound quality and distribution, and this is being very picky, when you on the beach for example it does benefit from having a bit of elevation rather than just sitting on the sand, sound doesn’t travel at boots quite so well so a bit of tilting helps. Genuinely on the beach this summer it made quite the impact! Anyway can’t rate this product highly enough

I bought this to listen to music by our tents at the Green Man festival, everyone commented how loud and good quality it is. The battery also lasted the entire festival with 30% remaining and we were listening for hours on full volume everyday.

It was also left in an open tent when it rained and was swimming in water, lifted it up, let the water run out and was still playing perfect.

OK just got this today bought this speaker after reading so many reviews (have you noticed how many 5* reviews this has) and I have got to say WOW

Firstly, let get this bit out of the way, it’s ugly and only comes in one colour. But as they say, Never judge a book by it’s cover.

On first play it sounds a bit drab and not what I was expecting but turn it up and use the app to adjust the Equalizer and it will blow you away. The Bass will drop down to 40Mhz and will give your room a shake and annoy the neighbours (and it does not even distort).

Not the best speaker for Accustic or classical by a long shot, but your not really going to buy this for that type of music, you want to party, and party you will.

For the price (I got it when it was on sale at 69) you are going to be one happy person.

As I have mentioned, I only got this today, and I will be maing a video of this in action.

Bottom line, if your looking for a portable speaker with some grunt, look no further this is it.

I bought the Soundcore Boom to be used in many situations but mainly for my shop where I tend to listen to my lists more. This little speaker has got to be the best sound system purchase I have made in ages!

It is smaller than I expected, roughly 30cm long, but has a huge sound. The speaker is incredibly easy to link to with my Samsung S20 Ultra Bluetooth 5.0. You hardly need any instruction to get started. Mine came mostly charged up, I just topped it off with the supplied USB-C cable. There is a small instruction booklet that comes with it and it suggests downloading the Soundcore app and you need to do this to get the fullest out of the sound equalizer. Out of the box the sound isn’t bad, but tweaks to the sound to suit your tastes makes this speaker really shine. You can also manage the volume and power from the app.

The 30W speaker is more than loud enough for my small shop, but like I said, I want to use this elsewhere too, for parties and such. I am confident that the sound volume will be high enough for outdoor parties in the garden. It is loud!

Why pay 200-300 for those expensive models when you have a great product like the Soundcore Boom?

I’m very pleased. If you are considering this system, don’t hesitate, in my opinion.

Streaming at highest quality from likes of BBC Sounds & Primephonic really impresses once you’ve flattened equalisation curve & turned bass boost off. It goes very loud to – at least 95 dB.

But it’s the sound quality that is most amazing from such a small box. Very little if any distortion discernable even with classical & regardless of volume. So impressed I’m thinking of buying a second just to see how good the stereo sound stage is.

Star deducted as no protection for side woofers, no input & no headphone jack’s.

Its excellent, as good as my pricey speakers, bass is bang on, looks great too with a nice weight and handle. Went to a party recently and I hadn’t charged for days, it was in the car but got this out and it still went for hours. You won’t be disappointed, sounds brilliant. Can get three for the price of one of the big brands and sounds better.

I’d like to consider myself well up on music and sonic fidelity. Get these, but definately manually adjust the EQ If you want both bass, controlled and weighted sound with a “smile” type EQ sound. They have crisp highs, with a punchy 3D sound space… if you want to think “how did they pull this off “… you’ve found the speakers! Now when I walk past people with speakers on beaches etc. I smile to myself and what these things achieve. Obviously there are bigger and better speakers around, and they are too small to use at large gigs etc, but they just sound great and full of impact paired together in a garden or smaller venue.

They also work so well wirelessly , and as a result offer fantastic sound staging for things like outdoor cinemas , or parties etc. They are water tight too, rugged, and last a good amount of time after a 4 hour charge.. If you are a little fussier about your music, and want to spend less for impressive results, buy these !

One is impressive enough, but 2 are a talking point.

I had the same “Is all that sound coming out of that box?” experience with the Boom. Very good quality, instant bluetooth connection.
It IS quite robust – see video of someone trying to get into it with a hacksaw! It would easily survive dropping down a flight of carpeted stairs. hard surfaces would mark it up though.

Download the soundcore app, set the custom EQ (I have attached a screenshot of a EQ I use, sounds amazing to my ears, but you can really push the EQ to anywhere that suits you) and this thing destroys a JBL extreme 3 for sound quality!! I should know, I have both (for the time being, selling my JBL ASAP). Honestly, for the price this thing is crazy. Master the EQ and the sound will blow you away, the bass is incredibly deep from 1 alone, and two of these in stereo for less than 1 JBL charge 5 feels like a crime

Only two VERY minor things, the latency is a bit slow (depending on your phone, might have lip-sync issues with YouTube or Netflix etc, but obviously not an issue for music), and the handle might not be to everyones taste. I actually like it, it’s very practical, but the missus thinks it looks tacky.

That’s it! Awesome battery life (genuinely 5.5-6 hours at full volume), shockingly good sound, and if you can get it for a discount deal you will feel like a genius, I promise!

Believe the hype! JBL should be very worried!

Honestly, these will blow most blue tooth speakers away. The sound quality is great, but put two together, and you have room filling hifi sound without having to notch up the volume. Battery life is really exceptional and I charge mine when I remember to! They are easy to set up, either separately or with two, you get proper stereo sound. They come with an app you download which allows you a graphic equaliser which makes the sound even better and customisable. The speakers are tough and waterproof, but I wouldn’t recommend taking them to the beach.

In addition, these have a USB for charging your phone at the same time, and I do burn battery on Spotify!

At first I was unsure checking review after review and video but basically once u get that eq setting then you’re flying, the bass goes deep it can even get to the point where u feel it in your chest, even normal songs can b adjusted and it still sounds good, luckily I got it for 70 which is just amazing.

I’m amazed by the sound quality this gives for the price. I’m a cynic when it comes to amazon reviews and this is only the second one I’ve ever given for something I’ve bought through amazon……..but!
I am very impressed with the sound quality for the price. The music I listen to is Rock/Metal and the bass sound is quiet astounding and the ability to adjust eq via the app is something even a Ludite like me found easy and really good. It definately is waterproof as I found out after mistakenly leaving it out in the rain all night. Battery life is really good and I use it nearly every day.
I’m just so impressed with this speaker for the price.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersIve done this review for anyone considering a speaker. Pros vs con
Pro- the speaker looks very sleek despite what some say. The build is rugged. Solid. I give it 5 star for build quality.
    – the sound in signature mode could vastly be improved with the app. It almost doubles the sound output, makes the mids and highs and bass alot more vibrant. For the bass it is very detailed, detailed bassline, but instead of being a thumping punchy bass in i.e drum or 808, its more of a low end bass vibration kick. Maintaining some of the thumping sound. I prefer the bass. Decent for bass music.
    – quick bluetooth connect
    – could pair with other speaker
    -battery life has been solid.
    CON
    – the sound with mids and high could be improved a little. I feel like there is something missing with instrument sounds not coming through as loud or crisp. I think lack of tweeters is a flaw. Although i still rate the mids and highs 7/10
But this could have been done so the bass is the most resonating sound hence why the product was more bass focus
-for the size i think soundcore should have made this a 50 or 60watt speaker.
I feel like the volume is a little lacking. Another 20percent volume increase would have been sweet as candy.
After all for the size. The sound is not pumping as loud as youd expect. But it is decent. Does get loud enough for outdoor or indoor.

    Soundcore should have made improvements.
    Add Tweeters to the speaker,
extra volume to 50 70watt output.
And maybe a small thing to clip a strap onto. So people can also carry the speaker vua shoulder strap. like jbl, but keep the speaker handle to. More options the better.

    Value for money 9/10
    Overall rating. 7.9/10.
    Good speake

Worth every penny. Even after reading the reviews about this Bluetooth speaker I had my doubts but after installing the app and testing it via various streaming services I’m more than impressed with quality of sound. Put other similar speaker to shame. Only got it yesterday but had to write what I thought about it straight away. Got it on Prime day and no regrets. May buy another next year.

This was purchased for my13yo daughter and to be honest I’m both impressed and annoyed as like any teenager she has it at almost max volume most of the time. It’s sounds really good for the price and I can confirm it has a decent battery life as well. I do own a couple of anker products and do find the fantasy value for money and yes I would recommend

I was given it as a birthday present and it’s far superior to any Bluetooth Speaker I’ve used.

I used it in the garden during a BBQ and the battery lasted for hours, streaming music/radio from my phone. Plenty of punch in the bass which was commented on, generally played Rock music on the day, easy to adjust the Soundcore App settings for your style of listening/music.

I unboxed, charged it up, downloaded the app, adjusted the personalised EQ settings and just listened to tunes. Easy.

I’ve heard cheaper Bluetooth Speakers and they have been OK and in all honesty I would have been happy with them. But for the extra money I feel I got a step up on sound quality/bass/design (I like the handle).

A friend of mine has two of these and uses them together for a stereo effect!

Didn’t use it for a week, went back to it and it still has a charge. Battery seems solid, during my use of it I received a call which pauses the music, however the call came through the speaker. I clicked on the notification bar on my phone and in the setting it allowed me to switch off calls. So the music paused but the call was on my phone speaker not the Bluetooth Speaker.

For an average person using this it is more than enough. I’m not a kid blasting tunes or a music geek banging on about sound quality. I just wanted a Bluetooth Speaker for the garden. Fits my requirements and then some.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally like the quality you get with an Anker brand product. Eufy and Soundcore amongst them.
The original Soundcore speaker I bought a few years ago is still going strong and lasts for ages on a single charge. So thought I’d treat myself to the new Motion Boost…
Only had it a few days now but already impressed by it.
Don’t get me wrong, you won’t get high end hifi quality sound from it. But it will for the occasions that you want to use it, camping, in the garden or the hot tub, or what ever floats your boat, it will do just fine.
You can use it as is via Bluetooth , plus you can download the app and have more sound options.
You don’t need the app to use this speaker, but it’s there if you want to.
As I mentioned only had it a few days so cannot comment on battery life, but as its an Anker product I’ll take it as read it will be as described or better.

The sound quality on this is brilliant both indoor or outdoor, the tone is beautiful & it’s really loud for such a small thing (we live right next to a busy road & we use it in the garden) we’ve used it for 3 or 4 hours at a time & the battery has never run out on us yet, I thought it was a bit pricey but it’s such a great piece of kit I’m glad I did

Simply ludicrous for the price, got two and the stereo pairing between has absolutely no lag. Feels like you’re wearing a high grade set of Bluetooth headphones except you’re able to share the vibe. Max volume is far more than necessary, and no bass distortion at any volume whatsoever (!!). 10,000mah battery really does last 24 hours, so much so that I’m forgetting to charge the bloody thing, not to mention fast charging for your phone on the protected port on the back. The fact you can throw it in water is just the cherry on the cake. Enough sound for a whole beach!

I ordered a second one to pair in stereo they are that good, great for outdoors the sub base is something else never expected it to be as good plus you can use the custom EQ to tune the speakers to your own tastes

Disclaimer, “I paid for this myself” 69.99 either during a lightning deal or full price

I’m not to keen on the equaliser because I just can’t find that perfect setting and it does my head in. A nice extra though and easy to control through the app. I prefer to leave it alone and let it be itself. It’s definitely a speaker for the outdoors. Give it a bit of space to breath and let it go, it sounds great. A nice clear sound and it can’t half kick out some bass for the size it is. It’s easy to use and transport. It’s well built, looks good and has a great battery life. I’m impressed.

I am not an audiophile but this sounds amazing. I have a Bose SoundLink Mini II and this blows it away. I know the Bose is from 2017 and is a third of the size but it cost three and half time more and it shouldn’t have been totally outclassed like this. It is destined for eBay. As for the Soundcore Motion Boom, wait until the camels line up and get yourself one. Phenomenal.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersNice sound, decent volume most people playing music will be fine with this but the base is flat no good for RNB or anything heavy on the bass , pop music and the like sounds good.
The speakers extremely well made and water proof but he bass sounds like some one hitting a wooden panel its flat and dies off quickly but it’s a good speaker still.

I even purchased the Soundcore Trance Go Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker with BassUp it was a lot louder with louder base but had the same flat bass, like to somone striking a leather clad door flat with no reverb again, I returned that also likeI I also returned this one.

My girlfriends daughter and her friends liked the Soundcore Trance Go Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker with BassUp and were partying all day and evening, for them it was way better than a more expensive one her friend brought to the outdoor party so they used mine instead, overall it’s very good well made speaker which will do for most peoples needs.

Both allow you to adjust the sound using an equilzer app, where you can store about 5 presets (maybe more), this I found useful when trying to adjust the sound to an exact volume when I took the Soundcore Motion Boom to work, as the volume control is digital it was either too high or too low for what U needed when I clicked the Volume up/down buttin in the soundcore app but the EQ allowed me to adjust the volume to just the right level.
It’s very well made great quality and clear sound even when turned up high on both, would recommend but not for people who like great bass in songs. (it was odd all my songs were flatish bass sounding but “Walk this way” by Run DMC and Aero smith from the 1980’s sounded spot on with the bass for some reason?
I used Amazon prime music to test the speakers and even
Youtube “THIS WILL MAKE YOUR HOUSE SHAKE !!! 😉 [EXTREME BASS TEST]”)

I am still looking for a speaker with great bass and might have to spend a couple of hundred pounds to get something I my self would be happy with. I would recommend these products all day long they are great bit of kit with brilliant sound and loud if needed , rhet are excellent for the money.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersThis speaker is utterly outrageous for the money and oozes quality. The Soundcore App is great for adjusting the speaker also.

For anyone wondering, this speaker sounds far more “musical” than the “loud” (and to be honest, aurally fatiguing) W-KING D8.

The in-built standard EQ modes feel slightly hollow, though. You may feel underwhelmed by them, and their lack of mid. You may even find them slightly shrill; in the case of the treble boost.

All you need to do is set-up a custom EQ and you’re sorted, please refer to my review attachment for what offers up bass (especially at lower volumes) and gives you a decent balance across the midrange and treble.

Enjoy your new Anker Soundcore Motion BOOOOM!

Found this speaker thanks to Alan Ross (best and most genuine YouTuber for speaker reviews) and ended up buying 2 of them to pair. Can’t believe the quality for the money! Would be very interested to hear the motion+. It’s a shame you can’t pair different ones but I’m more than happy with the boom! Definitely important to use the EQ option on the app to get the best of them.

Golden Review Award: 75 From Our UsersThe reviews seemed to good to be true, so I bought one and was wrong.
This speaker is the muts nuts! Brilliant crisp base note, good sound quality, not ideal for classical music but anything else, from Rock, pop, Trance, Dance, Garage etc it’s brilliant.
The waterproof works well as per my video (Prodigy playing)
I continued to spray it with water on another video’s for another 5 minutes before giving up on trying to break it! It’s definitely waterproof and would be perfect to have at a pool party of any other outside event.
I’ve not tested the battery life to empty but did play it all day for a solid 8 hours and it still had 60% left.
Overall it’s brilliant, and It’s already converted 1 friend from Sonos to buy this next, another is gutted as I got this on sale and it’s now full price.

Easily loud enough for most situations and you have to shout on full blast to hear yourself. The app works great to, having the ability to change sound profiles so even classical sound crisp as it doesn’t do it justice on the heavy base profile.

5 stars all day long, I’ve not been this happy with a product in a looong time.

I was considering the Motion Boom & the W-King D8, I went for the D8 originally as it was slightly louder at 50w and had an aux input. When it arrived the sound wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. Plenty loud enough but sounded a bit empty & hollow as it lacked any deep bass, just had higher, punchy bass which I didn’t like. So I ordered the Motion Boom to compare. The difference was huge, the Boom had great sound right out of the box, plenty of deep bass and really balanced through all the other frequencies, not muffled or muddy at all. Overall much MUCH better. I did then return the Boom aswell because a deal came up on the SoundCore Trance Go which was 50w with an aux input and also sounded amazing! I would 100% recommend the Boom though. Had it not been for the deal on the Trance Go I’d have happily kept it.

Charges well, sounds excellent and connected to my iPhone very easily. Good sound quality and more than loud enough for the space I use it in. Useful to have the handle to carry it with an good that I could purchase a second one and connect them together for “stereo” effect. Worth considering at some point. Long battery life as well is a real bonus.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersVery impressive sound for a 70 bluetooth speaker. I had previously bought an LG XBoom PN7 which was useless – if you put boom in the title you expect it to have proper low end bass – I sent it back the next day. The Soundcore Motion Boom didn’t disappoint, a really balanced sound that you can tweak to your liking with the app, and that delivers that warm low end bass, similar to the JBL Extreme 3 but at a fraction of the price. Well played Anker / Soundcore, I’ll be keeping this one.

A bargain speaker that delivers some proper bass.
