Bought this to experiment with garage band on ipad on, it does work very well as intended!
Sound quality is excellent. It is plug and play on Linux. It’s a great option if you only intend to use it with headphones.
My Irig HD 2 headphone jack port broke after one month, i bought it abroad so replacement is going to take a while and decided to get the jam plus and its sooo much nicer to use.
Having the dials on the sides of the irig is annoying, every time you pick it up you have to be careful not to make the gain and volume move, where as the jam plus has the dial on the top.
Less hiss and cleaner sound with the Jam, i like how it stays in place on the table rather than flipping over like the irig does due to it’s build.
Fit and finish is superb. anyone on the fence between this or the HD 2, do yourself a favour and get the jam plus (it comes with bias fx for desktop btw) it’s a way nicer to use.
I use this device to record my guitar and Aerophone-10 into logic and GarageBand. There’s never a problem. The sound quality is awesome. I actually like my new Jam+ better than my Apogee one.
Plugged it right into my keyboard and guitar and recorded straight to garageband. Excellent sound quality, and none of the superfluous clicking and picking you get trying to record from your iphone mic. Clean and professional.
No XLR input, so you can’t record through a standard microphone, but you should know that already before you decide to buy.
Solid product. Works on ipad air gen 3 and iphone se with no issues and great quality.
I liked that you could use with pc or apple iPad and all the necessary cables are included.
I have the original Jam (still going strong after x years), but decided to upgrade to the Jam Plus. Glad I did. Amazing little unit. Built like a tank. Love the overdrive option and headphone output.
Does what it’s supposed to: sounds good, easy to use. Haven’t had it long, but I assume it’s on a par with other Apogee products for quality and durability.
Apogee jam plus, mejor por mucho la calidad de sonido en mis grabaciones, ademas su tamao es perfecto para transportar y grabar directo al iPhone, su construccin de metal lo hace sentir solido y que resistir el uso por mucho tiempo. Por ltimo la atencin de Greg del equipo de Apogee es de primera, muchas gracias por la ayuda, sin lugar a dudas un producto 100% recomendable.

Needed this for my new iPad Pro. Works great and sounds great. Recommended.
Use this for my recordings. It has a simple function I like. Press the volume knob. The indicator lights go brown. Tune your distortion. Pres volume knob. Go retune your sound input. Ok. Jam away! Gold everytime.
I have the Jam. This is a step up from the Jam and worth the extra few $$$.
Love the ability to connect the card to anything I may want to – it has all the cables with it, so I can record my ideas anywhere using anything I have with me – iPhone, iPad or MacBook Pro.
The only downside would be bundling an old Bias FX Lite software, which only allows you to imagine how cool would you sound if you bought an upgraded Bias FX 2 Pro or at least Standard.
The quality of the tone was noticeably different when compared to the iRig that I borrowed from a friend.

Gran interface y con una calidad impresionante en sonido. El diseo es compacto y se siente slido con materiales de calidad.
Uso en Iphone:
Puede conectarse directamente al telfono mediante el cable integrado, lo he usado directamente en Garageband y el sonido es fenomenal. Puedes sacarle gran provecho utilizando apps como JamUp Pro, Bias FX, Tonebridge, entre otras.
En el telfono prcticamente es plug and play.
Uso en Mac:
La interface cuenta con un cable con conexin usb-C por lo que la conexin es directa en Laptop mac con esta entrada y para las que no tienen esta entrada tambin cuenta con cable usb.
La interface puede conectarse directamente a garageband de Mac sin problema o usarse en otros softwares como Bias FX 2, Logic, entre otros.
La mejor combinacin la encontraras utilizando Bias FX 2 como vst, el sonido es inigualable.

Le son est impeccable, la fonction Gain lev est trs pratique.
Petit dfaut toutefois (en tout cas sur iPad Pro), le son de l’iPad est coup ds qu’on branche le Jam+. On est donc oblig de passer par la sortie jack du Jam+ pour sortir le son. J’aurais apprci pouvoir dsactiver la sortie son du Jam+ via un bouton.
Autre petit dfaut, si on branche le Jam+ sur un hub USB, le Jam+ ne s’allume pas automatiquement lorsqu’on branche le hub l’iPad. On est oblig de dbrancher et rebrancher l’USB du Jam+ pour qu’il s’active.
part ces deux petits dfaut, le Jam+ est excellent et je le recommande fortement.
