quick and easy install, I left 3 star on sellers review wrongly as not that product meant to be.
Gladly I’ve not yet had to put in for a refund and so far I’ve been very surprised by the performance of this unfamiliar branded SSD. The packaging is very smart and you know you’re in for a winner when there’s flames all over the box (see pics).
The drive itself is incredibly light and I was sceptical if there’s much inside it to be fair.
I plugged it in and initialised the disk. There’s 931GB usable space once formatted (NTFS).
I’ve included screenshots of the Crystal Disk Mark benchmark numbers I got from both a 1GB and 2GB file size runs (Empty Drive). I’m very impressed with the drive and would recommend to anyone looking for a Game Drive or for files that are backed up.
Currently using 421/931GB to hold some Steam and Origin games.
I’ll update after a few months of usage.
Update Nov 2020:
Drive continues to work great. My original Crystal Disk Mark benchmark was taken using a USB caddy – when connected via SATA to the motherboard the speed increased and is similar to the other user benchmarks. I can safely say that I’m very pleased with this product.
Quick delivery. Easy install and upgrading from a HDD… its rapid and well worth the money. Will be ordering more soon!
Got this for a HP X360 laptop (older one)
It’s 1TB HDD was running extremely slowly.
I went for this SSD as the price was good.
WOW !! it used to take about a minute to boot on the HDD, now takes about 5 seconds (only an i3 2.1ghz 8gb Ram)
I can’t say this will have the same results, but worked for me.
So far it’s ok but time will test it’s longevity
128gb ssd for under 15? Works amazing and its honestly amazing. Revived an old pc.
I took a chance on this for my Plex server boot drive, moving from a 7200 rpm WD HD. As others have pointed out it is exceedingly cheap compared to other SSD’s on the market but i’ve been using it for months now, using Crystal Disk to check health, and it is working perfectly. There are faster drives on the market but if you want to speed boost a secondary system then this ticks the right boxes.
Excellent value, fitting the same as a hard drive, longevity not known as only just fitted.
Was worried due to the price, but have used it for two weeks with my pi – heavy usage with images etc

I replaced a 1TB Hard Drive on a Lenovo 330 IdeaPad with this 480 GBit SSD. It improves the start-up times immensely. This is what I expected and this is what I got.

Have put this in my 2012 Macbook pro to replace the original drive and the machine is much faster to respond. have not run any speed tests but it seems good to me. I just hope it lasts but i’ve used cheaper drives before and not been dissappointed yet.
I needed to initialise the SSD for use by Microsoft Windows 10.
I can’t comment for other Operating Systems.
I’m using the SATA SSD as a secondary game drive for my less played games and performance has been stellar so far.
Load times are fast, writes are decent and even with Steam pre-allocating space for downloads it doesn’t seem to drop in speed. I’ve had other cheap drives suffer massive slowdowns when steam pre-alliocates space prior to downloading but this seems fine so far.

SMI2259XT is DRAMless but it hasn’t exhibited the same performance issues I’ve had on smaller DRAMless drives.
As a secondary drive, this isgood for non-critical usage, especially at the price it does go down to.

I got this this morning with a case to have as an external SSD to my pc. My pc would not recognise this disc!
You need to format this disc in order for this to work. For non tech savvy if you are running windows 10 please do this:
– Search for partition on the start bar and you will see Create and format hard disk partition.
– you should get a pop up and you need to click Master Boot Record
– On the next window you should see 2 rectangle boxes. The first one is your current HDD the second will have a black line going through it and will be your new SSD. Click on that and select New Simple Volume.
– Follow the on screen prompts and when you are on the Format screen ensure NTFS is selected. At this point you can name your drive. Keep following the wizard and once its complete and the drive is formatted it will work!
An easy to fit, lightweight SSD drive at a great price – it doesn’t come with any fitting screws, but is so light that this is not a problem – highly recommended at this price.

Just installed this to a desktop system. I’m running Slackware Linux with the gpt partition table, and ext4 filesystem. These are the benchmarks for write/read speeds on this particular ssd;
write = 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB, 1.0 GiB) copied, 2.74653 s, 391 MB/s
read = 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB, 1.0 GiB) copied, 1.95063 s, 550 MB/s
Compared with my Crucial MX500 ssd:
write = 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB, 1.0 GiB) copied, 2.64511 s, 406 MB/s
read = 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB, 1.0 GiB) copied, 2.02295 s, 531 MB/s
This “Asenno” ssd seems to perform marginally better as for read speeds. Time will tell though, i’ve only been running it for the past hour, i will update this review if there are any issues down the line. It seems to be well worth the money at 37 time of writing.
So far a great little 2tb ssd, copying from hdd to ssd took a few hours but works great and had no problems using mini tool wizard to do it. games load alot quicker so better than I expected for the price of it and a make I haven’t heard of before but would recommend this ssd.

Just as good as a named brand as far as I am concerned. Even if it is a few tenths of a second slower it does exactly what I hoped for in making an old laptop much quicker.
So I Baugh the 480gb version can’t even remember how much exactly anyways I got this and got it next day 1 day earlier than it said it wouldsoo propts to that the SSD it self is very very fast and amazing specially for value just put my windows 10 on it and had enough space for call of duty modern warfare everything loads so much faster (my pc was already quick) but this made it pretty instantly and definitely buying 1tb down the like and I still got 80gb space left for plenty space of a good game
I ordered this on the 2nd of August and it stated that I will receive it on the 6th or 7th of August. To my surprise, it already arrived on the next working day (3rd of August). It was so light I thought it wasn’t in the packaging but it was. Easy to install and runs extremely fast. I upgraded from my previous slow HDD which was pre-installed to my laptop and now I can see the loading time are off the charts, extremely fast, and not fuss about waiting 10 minutes just so all the programs can be settled for utilization. I am extremely amazed at the delivery pace as I opted for the free delivery, couldn’t be happier with the delivery service. Hats Off! It is worth the 156 I spent for this 2TB drive. I hope this will work exceptionally well as I am keen on buying further products from this company! Again, to whoever is buying this please do not hesitate as it is the best and cheapest in the market and it will definitely leave its mark on competitors. The Asenno company definitely has my vote!
Much faster than my samsung ssd and alot easier to install
Even without a sale, the price of this 1TB drive is great value. Works really well and I’m currently have it installed as a drive for my games. Despite being installed next another SSD, it does record a constant 40C in Hardware Info, 5C more than the other SSD.

Installed in iMac 27″ 2011 and iMac 21.5″ 2011, no problem at all.
Not even lasted 3 months and now isn’t recognised by windows.
This has my operating system, games, films and programs installed on it but i tested it in other computes and with other cables and still no joy.
I have now ordered a WD SSD as the warranty is far better as is their reputatio
A nice value for money SSD used it to replace the HDD in a 2007 Imac works great, no stars for longevity as its brand new.

I was quite pleasently surprised with this, obviously stolen assassin creed logo on it, cheap feeling metal case, crappy box, random name Chinese nonsense so wasn’t optimistic, but, it was cheap and had to be better than the current one.
Worked fine out of the box, no mincing around with formatting and other guff, pc boots in seconds now, good transfer rates, silent
So look past the copyright infringement logo, cheap packaging ect this is a good performer. We’ll worth the price in current climate

I was looking for an affordable SSD 500GB Drive to replace the 2.5″ HDD I had stored in one of my Atomos Ninja II External Recorders, as I wish to produce my Drum Kit Videos in ProRes format. The shock/vibrations of the drums weren’t suitable for the HDD, hence the need for an SSD. Having looked around, I came across this SSD, which for under 50 and offering 480/500GB storage, to me it was a ‘no brainer’. I couldn’t confirm if it was suitable for my Atomos, but having tested it, it shows no lag, frames dropped or anything to note @ 1080/25P. I can’t speak for longevity, obviously as I’ve just bought it, but so far, so good. I’ve since bought a further two of these very same modelled SSD’s, for the same usage/purpose, and their also fantastic so far. Super fast service via Amazing Prime as always. 5*****
Amazing Bargain, fast speeds and plenty of space. Used a ~500GB drive to replace my Samsung Evo 120GB from 2013. It runs fast and smooth and has more than enough space. Still got my 3tb Barracuda drive for heavy programs and games but now got me a spare 120gb drive for games I’m currently playing such as Witcher 3.
Recommended to anyone looking to upgrade for more space or even first time user of SSDs
SSD’s have certainly gotten cheaper and SATA SSD’s still have a place as an upgrade for an older computer, as was the case here. I purchased it in early January, and as of now (mid May) I have had no issues with it. Always make sure that the drive has a DRAM cache (512Mb on this one), as without it, the SSD can actually be slower than a mechanical hard drive. No issues with speed, ease of use and value for money. I did not rate the SSD on longevity as I have not had it long enough yet but all is good 4 months after installation. An excellent value for money item.

Went in expecting middling performance but honestly very surprised and pleased. Crystal Disk Mark gives peaks of 536MB/s Read and 462MB/s write which for the price is pretty much unbeatable.

Can’t comment on the longevity past 3 months. Has worked flawlessly for that time and has great data transfer rates. Doesn’t get overly hot and mounting holes are well placed.

33 on lightning deal. Performs way above its pricepoint and seems as good as any I have had, which would be many. 560 read, 450 write. Time will tell and the case actually looks half cool inside a build. As storage where risknof data loss is less risky, say for games, it is great, it for ps4 or xbox owners. 5 stars and Amazon excellent as usual.
Replaced an HDD in an old Dell optiplex, the difference is like night day. It has gone from taking up to 3 minutes to boot windows to 15 seconds. If you wish to breath some new life into an old system its ideal at the price. I cannot say about longevity, but will update if anything goes wrong.
Upgrade to SSD. So far, works well and out performs the old drive in all respects. I have 2 Lenovo laptops an have installed a Crucial SSD in the other one. I gambled on the cheaper Asenno this time an so far, I am not disappointed. Seems every bit as good as the Crucial and as long as it stays reliable, I see no reason to pay more.

This product is very easy to install hardware wise but you have to go through some of the deeper settings to format it to get it to work, overall the ssd is very good for the money i can’t say much for longevity as its fairly new for me, however so far so good. The read and write speeds are consistent.
However, i’ve found under larger loads for example downloading large files or games it seems to stop writing for a period of time and i then need to restart my laptop to continue. It’s not the laptop causing this as it is brand new.
I use this product in a HP omen 15-dc1024na and it fits perfectly and was very easy to install.
This was the cheapest 1TB SSD I could at the time (December 2019). Had no issue partitioning and formatting it. Installing Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS just worked as expected. There were no screws included, so if you need to fix this drive to a caddy or bracket you’ll need to provide your own screws. While clearly a budget drive, I was pleased that it out performed the 40GB Intel SSD 320 Series it replaced.
Needed to upgrade an old dell d630 and took a plunge on these seeing the reviews. Arrived ahead of schedule and was a doddle to set up. Used a free third party program to do the cloning and voil my Dell runs like a treat now. Would highly recommend.
I was looking at buying this because, at 1TB, it was quite a bit cheaper than a Samsung 860QVO, however I was concerned because I had never heard of the brand and could find it on my benchmark site to see its performance. But it came up on a lightning deal, so I bought it because it was so widely reviewed as being great and it was already a great price before the deal
The review were right on that, I connected it upto my system to replace my 1TB HDD as my main storage for games and it performs as they say it does, and about as well as a SATA SSD can perform, brilliant value for money SSD
No doubt it would make a great update on a computer with windows on a mechanical drive and the 240Gb and 480Gb versions are a great deal for that as well
To be honest I was after a cheap upgrade to my daughters laptop. It boots so much faster than using the original hard drive and its silent. Installed win 10 quickly and easily. Cant yet comment on longlivity but looks good initially. May even go for the 480gb ssd to upgrade mine.

My first impression was one of surprise at just how incredibly light the SSD is. But it boxes well above its weight and after a quick formatting, it was up and running. I’ve had it for a good 6 months now and use it almost daily for video editing on the go. So far, it has worked flawlessly and speedily. Very happy with my purchase and I have since bought a second one.
Outstanding little drive. Bought a few of these and installed them into customer laptops and everyone seems to be absolutely delighted. Initially I bought branded, but decided to try this for one of the kid’s laptops and it was fine so have offered then as budget options to clients. Those that have chosen them are very happy. Recommended.
Seems to boot fast at a bargain price, time will tell on reliability but looking good so far.
I have 2 Samsung 850 Pros in my PC and this little thing is ALMOST as good, keep in mind the huge price difference!
I also installed one in my PS4 Pro, the speed difference isn’t as obvious due to hardware limitations inside the PS4 but its still much faster than the 5400rpm HDD that it came with.

If you own a PS4 (not Pro) do not use an SSD as Regular PS4’s only have SATA 2 which will max out at 300MBps.
You would be better off buying an SSHD which is a HDD with an SSD sector it will increase your speeds dramatically compared to the stock PS4 drive. They’re also much cheaper than SSD’s.
Read up more about it though, you’ll see what I mean.

This is a day one review for a black friday purchase (68 for a 1tb ssd absolute bargain). As a budget buy I am slightly apprehensive so will be updating further down the line.

Transferred my games library from an old HDD to this SSD. No issues. Speeds are as described. Great value.
Due to my PC case design I simply screwed it into a back panel, then plugged the power and SATA cables in.
Sure, not as fast as an m.2 or NVME SSD, but also not as expensive.
Just as quick as any other SATA SSD but at a much cheaper price.
Windows 10 now fully loads from startup in less than 20 seconds (used to take several minutes. very happy!
This is an excellent product and the service was also excellent.
My main SSD is a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB which manages R: 4,489 | W: 4,006 also with AHCI mode on, but on top of that it has TRIM Status enables and RAPID mode.
So if you need a second drive at a good price then I really recommend this ASENNO SSD, but as a primary drive I would go with one of the mainstream brands like Samsung.

so far very comparable to more expensive ones (only real difference is the out case of the ssd feels cheaper, which for obvious reason is..) but thats all.
