We had put the screws in as these are for a older lady with Alzheimer’s who used knives to open things. These work so well, keeps everyone safe and the fridge from being emptied numerous times a day or find shies in the fridge

It has strong double sided tapes on the cable holder and on the locking mechanism.
There is a small magnetic holder with double sided tape for the small magnet.
The small holder for the magnet needs to be placed high enough to be away from children.
The small magnet is used to unlock the locking mechanism by just touching the locking mechanism on the side.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was hoping this would stop my disabled 15 year old daughter from raiding the fridge and freezer! Unfortunately after waiting 3 days to give the sticky pads chance to settle as mentioned in the instructions, the first time she opened it she used so much force it pulled the sticky pad straight off!! However, I will say though, there was absolutely no damage caused by this! So do not be put off by my review as I do feel it would work perfectly to stop a toddler opening your fridge or freezer as they are likely to not have the same strength as a 15 year old!! It truly is a great product especially when even an adult had no clue how to unlock it until I showed them!!

This is a really good item, very useful when you have little kids. Is working I think is just the process to place it what you have to do really well if you don’t want the lock to comes out.
I clean the surface of the fridge before applied with alcohol very good and when I place it there we didn’t use it for almost 5 days to be sure, let’s see how long they stay. I recommend you.

Brilliant! Been on for over 3 weeks! Still strong, wasn’t sure as it’s a sticker to hold in place but it’s super sturdy! Won’t open without the magnet. Keeping the kids out the fridge.
Easy to wipe clean, easy to open and lock. Love it. Really simple.

Although it isn’t rocket science it did take me a few minutes to grasp what actually opened when trying this for the first time; the instructions were not great but I did get there in the end!

As a concept it’s pretty fiddly really – needing to use a magnet to pull the wire out seems over the top. Although it’s working fine at the moment; I can foresee an issue where I lose/ misplace the magnet and wonder how I’ll get into the fridge. It’s good that the base for the magnet to sit in has a sticky back so it doesn’t move but with clutter gathering I can see it getting lost. Hopefully with the one year old getting older and taking more notice it may not be needed indefinitely.

    Time will tell

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m using this fridge lock on my bathroom door, however I’m sure that it would work perfectly fine on the fridge as this is what it was designed for.

I have my cat bowls in the bathroom. My cat is on a vet prescription food, which is expensive and my dog always eats her food. We’ve tried to train the dog, but didn’t succeed as the dog was eating cat food at night when we couldn’t supervise her.

I was thinking to install the cat flap, but it wasn’t ideal for the bathroom door. Door chain also didn’t look right and I didn’t have better place at home for cat bowls.

This fridge lock looks delicate and works well. I have it in white. It was easy and quick to install – stick to the door (I just cleaned the door before installing it). It is easy and straightforward to use.
What is important for me is that it works perfectly. The gap in the open door is big enough for the cat do go to the bathroom, but too small for the dog to fit through the gap. Magnet is strong and my dog is unable to open the door.
Finally I can monitor how much my cat eats and I hope that now her expensive food will last longer.

Great quality lock, works well, so I would hapilly recommend it.

Works well and looks nice, easy to install.

I gave the freezer lock to my son. He has two children that are young enough to open the fridge door but not old enough to appreciate the nuisance this might cause. The locks are easy enough to apply by sticking either end to the door and side of the fridge and looping the connector to prevent the door from opening. The magnet key is required to allow the connector on one end to release the lock. If this is felt suitable then will be a good solution for the time while in usage. I do not the statement that the locks are removable, but not sure how easy that would be without causing some surface marks to your appliance.

This black colour refrigerator child locks is easy to instal. It has got a high quality and extremely tough locking cable which ensure me maximum security and peace of mind. Because my children are very restless and they happened to open the fridges. Earlier I used different fridge locker but this one seems more effective to secure safety in my house.
This can be easily and fully removed without damaginh any of appliances
by using the provided magnetic key.
Recommend for it and rank top.

This item of refrigerator child locks is really good one!

This is a really well made fridge/freezer lock.
After that you are able to pull the cable out of the locking mechanism and open the fridge/freezer.
Overall good quality and on really good price.

Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.

Low priced ,but does the job well

A fridge child safety lock to save your toddler opening the freezer or fridge. It is so easy to fit the lock to the appliance. It just needs leaving for a few days to make sure it is stuck properly. The magnet had it’s own holder to stick in a place so you won’t lose it, and high enough so the toddler won’t get hold of it.
It has done the job for me, stopping my granddaughter opening the freezer as you can tell from the picture. A sturdy lock once in place.

Sturdy easy to fit fridge lock.

This came well designed with two adhesive cone and can be attached to the two sides of the cable, once this is done attached it to the surface ofnthe fridge and connect the locking mechanism once the fridge need to be used you only need to unlock the cable to open it. This has really helped me from protecting my daughter from getting into my fridge as they are very quick to open it when you are not there
This has really worked well and will recommend it.

This comes with two sticky pads, and you stick them on the surround and a door of your fridge or freezer. Usually with 3 m attachments you only get one go to position. You need to leave it in situ for 72 hrs initially before you use it. There is a strong cord attached, which stops it being pulled open. You also get a magnet which is the key. You have to apply the magnet to one end and of the attachment in a specific place. It’s a little difficult to spot because it’s white on white, but it has got an unlock keypad symbol on it. I did assume that any magnet would work, but it doesn’t. You have to use the specific magnet they sent. So don’t lose that. It does have a magnet attachment, but it could easily get mislaid, and then you wouldn’t be able to get into the fridge or the freezer that easily, unless you rip the attachments off. I don’t know how easy that would be.

    Don't lose the magnet.

Easy to use door lock to keep the kids out! The magnet as a key is a great idea but you have to be sure the cable is not tight when unlocking, otherwise the little internal latch will not release. 3M VHB tape provides a very secure mount.

This is a great idea for keeping kids out of the firdge (or anyone if you hide the magnet!).
Just stick the 1 end on your fridge and the b other on fridge door, and don’t loose the magnet that unlocks it.
Only slight concern is that as it uses 3M sticky pads whether you would be able to get them off in a few years. No price is shown at the moment so can’t say if its value for money.

I hope you found this helpful. Please let me know if you did.

Firstly, I was a little bit puzzled by the magnetic key for undoing the cable, but once I figured it out I was quite impressed by the innovation and quality of this product. The cable is tough, the connections are tough and so is the 3m tapes that hold it to the surface.
A great piece of kit that will keep little fingers away from any area where they are inquisitive but not entirely safe on their own.

    Bang on!

having a child who has behavioural issues and obsession with food its hard to stop her going in the fridge, this is the first time ive had something that literally works to stop her getting into it. the adhesive is perfect and so far it has kept her out of the fridge

No tools are needed, just tear off the adhesive tape. Here is the 3M adhesive tape. I am not very sure about the endurance of this 3M adhesive tape, but the adhesive force I currently use is very strong. It is absolutely sufficient for children. It has a magnetic key to open. Corresponding to the magnetic key, there is also a small suction disk, which is also fixed with glue.

    Pretty clever concept.
Two adhesive strips attached to either end of the cable, you stick each side down to effectively lock your fridge and you have a small separate magnet that when placed over the locking mechanism it unlocks the cable so you can open your fridge.
You also get a small plastic magnetic strip that also has an adhesive on the bottom so you can place this whether you wish, ideally out of the reach if children, the magnet that unlocks the cable can then be attached to this strip for safe keeping.
Overall I well thought out child proof lock that works perfectly.

Great door/window lock. You will still need adult supervision (as always) but they are great at preventing a spur of the moment accident.
