Very clean carpets now
Like any dog owner who has carpets, during the wet months your carpets get dirty, no matter how often you clean your dogs feet.
We bought our carpet cleaner on an amazon deal and saved 100. Used it for the first time and had amaizing results, our carpets are like new and they are all fluffy again.
Great carpet cleane
Great cleaner far superior to the vax machine it replaced. Only gripe is that it has a massive collection tank that holds very little before you have to empty it. Think Bissell need to rework the float system in the tank to allow a larger collection of dirty water. If it wasn’t for this I’d give it 5*
Quality cleane
A very good cleaner. Please read the instructions, I didn’t and ended up with a very wet carpet that took days to dry out, my fault and not this cleaner. Now I use it properly it is the best i have ever used. Highly recommended.
Heavy carpet cleane
I found this quite heavy, but easy to use. It was too heavy to manoeuvre for stairs, and very loud. It sucked up a fair bit of moisture, but because I had to go over parts that were extra stained it became quite wet. It is not easy to dismantle or put back together when cleaning it out.

Purchased this to replace an old one, thought I’d pay a bit more for this brand and I’m so glad I did. Read reviews it leaks but I haven’t had this problem at all. Everything’s well sealed, easy to set up was ready within minutes.

The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Carpet cleaner has proved very effective for the few occasions I needed it. It has saved me buying new carpets!
However there is a bit of a learning curve in applying it for best effect, and the instructions are somewhat multi-machine generic and not the best for this particular model, so there was a bit of trial and error before achieving decent results.
Fortunately it is excellent at removing water from the carpet, and drying times afterwards are much quicker than I first feared they might be.
Be aware the brushes can lift a lot of body from some types of pile carpet.
It is also noisy, but a good-fitting pair of ear-buds playing one’s favourite music are a simple solution.
The free samples of cleaning solution that came with it did not touch a very large cranberry juice stain, however I was very impressed by the Dr Beckmann stain remover, and the Bissell rinsed and cleaned it all off perfectly.
Cleaning the machine is simple, if a bit messy.
FANTASTIC machine!
We have 2 dogs which means that some kind of carpet shspooer is an absolute must. If dogs are going to puke, pee or poo, they will find a carpet to do it on! I recently used my old one on bedroom and stair carpets. After considerable effort, they still seemed grubby. I started to think about a new machine. At first attracted by TV advertising, I looked at popular brands. Then I saw this one. I have a Bissell Crosswave for my hard floors and love it, so decided to go for this one. Talk about a game changer. Bissell don’t seem to waste money on TV advertising but just concentrate on making great tools. The machine turned my grubby old carpets into looking like new (ish). The machine is heavy, especially when loaded up with solution which is both a plus and a minus. Its weight suggests a quality machine, but it’s a bit heavy to cart upstairs. It has a mega long flex, and the hose supplied with tools for stairs and upholstery is very long also. I can not recommend this machine enough

I faffed around for ages looking at so many reviews and eventually settled on this model. It’s brilliant. The carpets come up incredibly clean and hardly damp at all, they dry very quickly. It is easy to use, easy to fill and empty, and although it’s quite heavy it’s not too difficult to push around. The stair tool is handy and easy to use. I’ve had a vax platinum cleaner before that kept breaking. This is a million times better.
My new best friend
This cleaner is amazing. I’ve got two dogs and kids and I’ve had various expensive carpet cleaners for 20 years but this is the best by far. Started using it this morning and I could see the lines where it was cleaning immediately. I am very house proud and constantly clean but the dirt coming up was amazing and a real game changer. Easy to setup, use and get going. Smaller than others I have had so fits in the cupboard under the stairs better. Had a lightening deal on it too so saved 100 compared to the BISSELL site. My photo uploaded shows one swipe of the cleaner on the left side only and it came up even better after three swipes (it’s a dark rainy day so lighting is poor). Wish I had taken before photos of the plain carpets as they came up unbelievably well and the rooms smell great. I was considering a new carpet in one room but no need now, it’s totally revived. Came with three starter fluids in box which I have used to do everything today but I also purchased a large bottle ready for bedrooms. Don’t hesitate to get this if you want great results. Sooo worth the investment.

excellent, i love this, its easy and quick to both fill and empty, simple to use, not to heavy to push and washes carpets brilliantly, is quick and easy to clean the cleaner after use. We have had other makes of carpet cleaners but this time i did some research and Bissell to me came tops and has proved itself to be right, our carpets are beautiful and clean now

It’s very loud, but the way it cleans is beyond satisfying. Carpet, rugs, stairs and sofa, all easy and quick to do with this machine. I had some difficulty getting started with it but their support team was excellent and very quick to reply. The only downside is that it’s not very easy to clean, but overall it’s still a great product.

bought this item due to the reviews and so far have only used this twice, so review is based on early touch.
assembly was straightforward, just wish it included a disposable screwdriver of sorts for the 1 screw you have to affix.
it is loud – i was not aware how loud it gets and even at express clean the cleaner is very load, so probably can only use this when the sun is up, which is a bummer as usually i would like to start cleaning early in the day.
i do understand what other people say that the water container is a bit small and would require you to refill or dispose often, but i guess that also helps so that the machine does not get too heavy, as it is already heavy enough.
films very firm and well put together and just wish you had options with the colors as looks like a toy.
i would say this is really expensive and for me i have to yet to reap the benefits of this machine so hopefully its durability and reliability is there and hate to have to throw this away without being able to maximize its cleaning abilities.
i feel stair steps cleaning may be a challenge as you are reliant to the length of the hose, but i have yet to try this and see how it works. hopefully the main machine would not be turning its brushes as it will definitely mess up the position it is if it goes on when you are using the hose.
overall, i like the item, it is pricey which makes it a bummer and i cannot recommend it to be a good buy for a normal spending person unless you like use it every 2 weeks, i guess.

After moving into our new home last year, my husband and I had to decide what to do with the existing carpet in our bedroom, the spare room, the stairs, and the hallway area. On close inspection, it was quality carpet with no wear and tear and had been professionally fitted. However, there were some signs of stains and an unpleasant odour, and it was absolutely in need of deep cleaning!
We decided to buy Bissell’s ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner because of its outstanding reviews. Although it costs 329.00, we believe that it would be a good investment as we could use it as often as necessary in our home without the need for professional carpet cleaning services!
Assembling the cleaner was uncomplicated as the instructions were closely followed. The box contained one clean tank and one dirty water tank, a spot stain remover, a stair tool, a tool for cleaning the brushes, a hose for connecting the attachments, some cleaning solutions, and a measuring container.
My husband found the cleaner easy to use. There is a green button above the right wheel of the cleaner called the ‘Clean Shot’. When he pressed it, the cleaning solution was sprayed directly onto the stained areas; this is a good pre-treatment for tough stains. The ‘ProHeat’ (Heatwave Technology) warms the water in the clean tank as it flows through the cleaner. The cleaner has two brushes which help to agitate the carpet more effectively; when water is dispersed, any embedded dirt is released effortlessly.
After several uses, we were shocked to see the filthy water sitting in the dirty water tank! When we went into that same room a day after it was completely cleaned and dried, it was as though a new carpet had been fitted! We are so happy to have bought the Bissell Carpet Cleaner and highly recommend it.
Same cleaning power, easier to maintain and clea
I had the previous model to this one, which is identical in many way, just a different accent colour and harder to clean after use.
The reason I opted for this is solely because of the ability to remove/open more parts and clean them after use. That in itself is a significant upgrade as you will find when you clean your carpets or rugs as the amount of dirt and fibre that gets sucked through the brush head is visible and debris gets caught in various parts of the brush head.
I am still impressed with the cleaning power of these machines, even after having used them for 5 years now in a household that does not wear footwear in the house, has no pets and no small children. Yet, every 1 or 2 years in summer (depending on my mood), a full deep clean of the rugs removes a surprising amount of dirt and lifts some worn out fibres, freshening every rug and carpet up nicely.
Highly recommended of course.
Does a great job
Been looking for a good carpet cleaner for a while now and this one came up at a great price so went for it, came nicely boxed but not in a Amazon box as requested unfortunately, quickly put together thought instructions could of been better at times. My missus tried it out the following day and the colour of the water removed from the carpet was grim and carpet looked clean or we thought it was!

I had a bIssell cleaner from 20 years ago and it never worked properly after a week or two only one side of brushes suction worked so I lived with it… I then decided I should get a new one..and with the price reduction thought ok . I am very pleased thus far. Suction works well, stairs work well.. the old one I could never fathom out how it worked. Its so easy to fill and empty as well as clean out…its much lighter to lift and has a handle, the old one was so heavy and no handle!!
NO I dont have an ultra clean house…I have 18 cats and a dog and husband… so when i say it works well and cleans IT DOES!
I had new carpets put in at the beginning of the year, So purchased the bissell spot clean for emergency use, which is brilliant.
However it’s come that I wanted to clean the whole house, particularly walkways. I have used so many different carpet cleaners in the past, mostly the most known brands in region of 500. I could never clean them out property and had to strip them of parts which took hours to do and put back together.
I have a rottweiler so I no matter how much I hoover, her hair is course and sticks in the carpet.
This is an issue when cleaning the cleaner out. So I did a lot of research before trying any others. The Bissell kept coming up on my research so I took the plunge and gave it ago, preying it was worth it.
This Bissell is a god send, you press 2 buttons on each side of the cover and it clips off, you have full easy access to the brushes and the entire inside.
The cover just rinses under the tap and job done. Just clip back on. This is a huge deal for me as you don’t want to wash carpets with a cleaner that’s not clean & means the lifespan of the cleaner will be greater.
The other great thing about this is the heat and double brushes, you can put in hot water (not boiling) which is so much better for cleaning. Then having 2 brushes gives a deeper clean.
Then you have the pretreatment action if you want to do a pretreatment but don’t have the spray.
I did my large lounge and hallway in 20 mins doubling over them. 2 refills and 2 empty. Other I have had I have spent a good hr and constant emptying and refilling of the tanks.

Just tested this carpet cleaner and I am so impressed. I had a professional cleaner in to do my carpets and rug 3 months ago and I just wasn’t happy with the results of the rug. Or the carpets for that matter. I purchased this after lots of research and I am so pleased. My rug has come up new and the few areas there were stains present on my cream carpet are also gone!! I’ve only spot tested this and haven’t done the whole house yet but I had to review straight away. The best thing about this is it’s so easy to clean. I’m hoping this lasts years. If so, it’ll be 5 stars. If in doubt, purchase it. You won’t regret it.
I brought this carpet cleaner when my beloved dog and cat were poorly( they had entered old age). Both were well trained but age and sickness caused accidents to occur. I tried many manual carpet cleaning substances but nothing really got the carpet cleaned. I was contemplating a professional but funds were low and this was an ongoing issue.
So I researched home carpet cleaners and found this one fit my needs. Designed for homes with pets in, multiple settings and small enough to fit under the stairs. Amazon also had a pay monthly at the time so this also fit my financial needs.
The settings are express, deep and max. I’ve tried all three settings and am glad for the range.
Express means I can give the carpet a quick clean and it will be dry within the hour. Good for when people are coming over or fancy a freshen up.
Deep to me means the heavy trodden areas have a better clean or small stains are removed. Takes longer to dry
Max is when the carpet is truly soiled or there have been accidents. This takes far longer to dry. Ie completed the clean at 2pm and was still a little damp the next morning. (Average temp outside 14 degrees centigrade.) the results are far better.
I purchased the cleaning solution that was advised and found that my carpets were finally cleaned. I was a little horrified when I first used it to see how dirty the carpet was when it gets regular hoovering and manual clean. However like anything in life if the stains/dirt are embedded it might take a few goes to get rid of them.
Cleaning it after use is also fairly easy. Most of the parts come of super easy and are convenient to clean. Wait for them to dry then pop them back on and store
Well worth the money, a little effort and time will get your carpets looking great again.
Tip: vacuum the area meticulously prior to washing. Also vacuum in different directs to get all the loose dirt up first. Also go slow when washing. Gives the cleaner a higher chance of getting all the grim up.
I’ve only lived in my house 11 months but boy have the kids and dogs trashed my lovely new carpets…. the mud, sand, dog hair, food and drink stains… ewww! Carpet was practically brown instead of silver. I had an old (other brand) and bless it, it has gone strong for nearly 10 years… it worked ok, but despite its best efforts recently, i have decided to retire it to the pile of junk in the garage that “still works but no one wants anymore!” So after some brief research… I treated myself to this! Phwoar!! It does exactly what it says… It brought my carpets up like new and as i watched the brown gunky foamy water come out of them… not to mention all the embedded dog hair that my vacuum “accidentally left there” it now has me seriously considering rehoming the dogs… kids… and husband!!… Naa of course im joking… I’m literally getting them to tramp around my carpets now in their mucky shoes, whilst actively encouraging them to squirt frootshoots at each other and rub their left over bits of easter eggs in to the pile for that extra challenge… just so i can get this vac out and make it all like new again because it’s honestly as satisfying as watching those rug cleaning videos online! In fact it’s better. Smells amazing too, (they give you 3 little sample shampoo bottles with it)… Order it… do it now! Best purchase ever.
Brilliant product! After doing alot of research into different brand reviews and ratings, this one, of us, was at the top of the list.
This machine certainly hasn’t disappointed! Absolutly brilliant results.
Some Reviews stated that it’s very loud however I didn’t feel it was excessively noisy.
Theres some really brilliant resign ideas with this product, all the upholstry/stair tools come apart for easy cleaning, and it even comes with a handy tool for you to scoop hair out from the machine should it get stuck.
We have a brand new shark hoover, and with 2 kids and a dog, we sometimes hoover up to 3 times a day, but still the bissell carpet cleaner dislodged so much imbedded pet hair.. We where SHOCKED!
We also love how this machine is alot smaller than most carpet machines, some of my friends ones are huge in comparison.
The waste tank doesn’t hold a MASSIVE amount of water, but I feel that this is Likley a safety feature, it is an electrical item at the end of the day, and this doesn’t really bother us, it’s just amazing to see how much muck actually pours out.
We did the entire house on the MAX setting and where suprised at how much water it sucked up, left the carpets feeling almost dry, and we really doused them in solution to do a really deep clean, next day carpets are completly dry looking amazingly clean and the house smells so fresh!
Looking foreward to doing our sofa next!

It’s not often I wrote reviews but this carpet cleaner really deserves one.
I used to lend a friends carpet cleaner but decided to get my own. After reading reviews and watching demo videos, I decided to go for this one.
It was really easy to assemble and get going.
Only took after pictures (in review) but my carpets are 6 years old and last got cleaned over a year ago. They were visibly brown before cleaning and these pictures were raking the day after cleaning when it was dried.
The hose for stair attachments is really long which means less moving of the main unit and a quicker clean. The attachments are really good, especially the tri stair cleaner which you rotate to clean the edges and corners.
The carpets were basically dry upon completion of cleaning as the suction is brilliant. The dirty water collection needed to be emptied near enough exactly twice for each fill of the supply tank which basically means it was sucking all the water up.
My only gripe would be that the 2 rollers continue to spin when you are using the stair hose/attachments. I had to hang the main unit off the dye of the stairs to avoid damaging to carpet.
Cleaning of the unit after use is really easy too! Took all of 2 minutes!!
Over all, very happy with this and glad I chose this stand over others.
Really did clean up stains
This is great! I used it to clean up old puppy stains and makeup stains from my carpet as well as ink stains from my couch. Can I just say that it works magic! There was a learning curve but I believe I figured it out now.
For tougher stains that have been there for a longer while, you may need to repeat the process but I promise it works.
I mix my Bissell febreeze solution with the pro cleaner and my house smells good afterwards.
The suction is alright. Just remember not to use too much water in the first place, but if you do keep moving it to suck out the water.

It’s heavy
This is the heaviest shampooer I’ve ever had but most of the time I am happy with it. Taking it upstairs is when the weight bothers me most. The main issue is the cover over the brushes, which pops open at the drop of a hat and won’t stay closed. The tank that collects the dirty water is easy to empty of water, but if the vacuum missed dog hairs prior to shampooing, those hairs accumulate in awkward places inside the tank and it’s a messy job getting them out. A job best done outside. Having said all that, it does a good job on the carpets.

I have used Vax machines for the past 20 years but my last one leaked so I decided to change. This machine costs more than what I would normally spend but it is so worth it. I tested it today on a very dirty back door carpet, upstairs carpets, stairs and mats. The machine has 3 programmes and I chose the express, 1 hour dry as I did not want to wait 8 hours for the deep clean. This express programme has cleaned them all and I am really impressed. They dried in less than an hour with the heating on except for the stairs which will probably take an hour. The stair attachment is brilliant for nooks and crannies and the process is undertaken by spraying the carpet and then going back over it with the suction tool. I have not used the upholstery tool yet but the car is in for a treat!

I purchased this to replace an old model that we had for about 15 years. This one is much better at cleaning the carpets.
Fantastic after making a beginners mistake
Okay, first time purchasing a carpet cleaner. New dog in the house that had a bleeding wound on his ear. He kept rubbing this into the carpet, which was less than a year old. Did an experiment on a small area and express clean did not cut the mustard. Deep clean however was amazing.
That’s when I made the beginners mistake. I took the panel off above the brushes to clean out the fibres that had been picked up. I did not fit it correctly when replacing. Not paying attention I went on to do a much larger area only to find it had not been sucking up the water. By the time I realised it was too late and had to wait almost 24 hrs for carpet to dry. The housing clicks back into place, when done correctly the machine works like a dream.
Back to the fibres that were being picked up. The carpet is hoovered regularly, yet it is now obvious that this did not pull up all the loose fibres. After running the Bissel over a section I was left with fur balls. I left these there and hoovered once dry. The carpet has been restored and looks great.
How long does it take to dry? Well, its been cold the last couple of weeks and cleaned the carpets before going to bed. They were dry in the morning. I did leave heating at 18 and had a fan on the largest area.
Have not tried the upholstery attachments yet. Will see if I can update once I have.

We have 7 dogs so we have a real need for a great carpet cleaner. It’s the first time I have bought Bisset, and am really pleased with its deep cleaning and suction.

Pulled out so much dirt that I’m going to let it dry, vacuum it again and then give it another going over with the carpet cleaner. Hopefully the rest of the house isn’t as grim!
Pile was flat before starting and is looking so so so much better. Will update once I have am done the whole house and see if it receives the flat pile very expensive 4 year old super soft deep pile carpet (don’t get it, it’s lovely for a week!)

So far I’ve done all the bedroom carpets, the landing carpet and a huge rug and the results are outstanding.
Great Performance
As others have said this lifts an absurd amount of dirt from your carpets and chairs, my only critisism is that by default out of the box the water spray was continuosly on causing the carpets to get excessivly wet, it wasnt until reading the manual (afterwards as we all do!) I realised this can be turned off
Brilliant shampooer.
This machine has been tremendous. I’ve had a couple of shampooers before Vax included and they’re not a patch on this one. It’s so easy to use for fitted carpets and stairs. The hose is easily long enough to shampoo the stairs. I’m over the moon with it.

This is a fantastic cleaner, very easy to use, great cleaning power, very easy to fill water tank, empty and clean the waste tank, and the best feature is the easy way you clean the brush ares. There is a great tool kit for all kinds of cleaning jobs. A great product and I can recoment it.

An Enormous Improvement over Earlier Models
This current model is a pleasure to use, and just as importantly, a pleasure to clean after use.
Cleans perfectly as did earlier models, but the ease to clean – not having to unscrew numerous components is fantastic. Also, the redesign of the liquid containers makes this model a pleasure to use.
My new best friend
Bought to clean up after a new puppy in the house while training. After a couple of weeks soaking up puppy puddles with loo roll and then using a spray on enzyme cleaner to kill the smell, using this machine is sooooo much easier. I just leave it plugged in in the hallway, full of clean water and pet carpet shampoo so it’s ready to go when the inevitable happens. Suck up the urine first then wash and suck up the water. I go over it a few times so that the carpet is only left slightly damp and is fully dry in minutes. Brilliant.
Not used on stairs yet.
It does the job , you can keep it clean easy !
Washes the carpets. It is strong ,it has 3 modes of operation the deep clean is what i use. The best part is how easy it is to clean the washer .You can remove the plastics and wash out the dirt .You can remove the hair that stuck on the brushes after using it easily.
Only bad thing is the price. Still a little on the expensive side.

This carpet washer works very well and seems to have strong suction for drying the carpet. I have used it a couple of times so far and after using the deep clean setting and then leaving the carpets overnight with an electric fan circulating the air, they were completely dry by morning. Cleaning these machines was always a bit of a curse in the past and I’m glad that after reading the reviews I went for the pet pro version as the tanks and brush roller covers can all be removed and cleaned without unscrewing anything. The instructions on how to remove the brush roller covers were a bit lacking but a quick YouTube video helped with that. My carpets were looking a bit scruffy and in need of a bit of talc when I bought this machine and it has done a good job of making them look newer and brighter. I recommend this machine to someone looking for a new carpet washer.

Had a vax prior to this as I go over my carpets every month or so to stay on top of the dog hairs. I let family borrow it and it came back broken and unusable.
I was torn between this and the vax one but I’m glad I chose the bissel. It is hands down better then the vax. My carpet never came up as clean or as fluffy as they have with the bissel even when the vax was new. You can SEE the difference in the carpet that’s cleaned to the carpet that isn’t. It also pulled up every shred of dog hair from the carpet. It does take some in and I found some did get trapped in the suction bit (the piece you can lift off with the purple handle) which couldn’t be flushed out with water but a poke with a straw cleaner got it moved and it’s clean as new again.
I found that it went through water/solution quickly but I had it on the Max clean setting so I was expecting it to. Hopefully it uses less on a express or a normal deep clean but I won’t know until I use either of those settings on Jan or feb.
Came with 3 sample sizes of the pet shampoo, pro shampoo and oxy additive (268ml each) which were all very effective. Will be buying the pet and oxy one again.
Came with a long hose and 3 different head attachments. I’ve used the upholstery and normal ones and both work really well. I’ve not used the stair tool.
The bissel came apart easily to be cleaned after use although I found the brush comb ineffective and resorted to using my fingers to pull off the fur wrapped around the rollers.
All in all a fantastic purchase and I really highly recommend this and it’s worth the which award.

It really freshened up my old rug in the living room. With 2 kids constantly smashing play dough and food this machine is great helper.
Only the cleaning of the brush I find a bit tricky even with the tool provided.
But overall I’m very happy with the Bissell carpet cleaner.

This machine is a must if you have pets. I vacuumed twice yesterday and this is all the hair it dredged up still from a small section of the living room carpet. I cleaned the carpet two weeks prior and look at the colour of the water still! My only gripe is the stair tool isn’t great, but I’ve started using the upholstery tool on the stairs instead and very happy with the results. Our carpets are 3 years old and this brings them up like new.
Great for clearing up accidents when our dog was poorly too. Highly recommend.
Does exactly what it says on the box
We have a french bulldog so sheds hair and he gets muddy now the weather has turned so i used to have a carpet cleaner guy in but at 50 a room I decided to buy one of these with the pet tools not disappointed its so easy to use and clean so not only after a couple more carpet cleans its paid for itself. So to sum it up in one word brillia

My VAX DUAL clean broke, just a gasket but imossible to templace without taking to to bits, it was hard, near impossible to clean the debris from the suction channel and awkward to put water tanks in. THIS machine is like the difference between night and day!
Even using up my old VAX solution it felt stronger, it worked better, left carpets drier. it’s easier to clean after use because it comes apart. I am very impressed. I cleaned my carpet which I was cleaning with my VAX. The extra dirt it brought out was incredible. I’ve had various VAX cleaners all seem cheap mediocre besides this machine
I took my chance and bought a warehouse deal. I’m not disappointed. Its was just reboxed. All in perfect condition. The delivery driver was very helpful too.

Perfect washe
Was a bit skeptical because never heard of the brand but usually if its expensive probably is good. I gave it a go and it didnt disappoint, this is better than the 399 vax i had that only gave me was headaches. I liked it and so i also bought bissells normal hoover that is also for 199 in amazon. Cant go wrong with bissell

This is a great cleaner. I’ve done all my carpets, couldn’t believe the dog hair it removed., even in the bedrooms where the dog isn’t allowed. Shame the hose wasn’t a mt longer because it didn’t reach to top of stairs. I’d highly recommend though.

An excellent carpet cleane
I’ve been using a branded vacuum cleaner with a wet carpet-cleaning capability but it never quite lived up to my expectations. This Bissell has done that and more. It’s simple to put together and simple to use, giving a great carpet clean. My only bit of advice is make sure you lay in plentiful supplies of cleaning fluid – it uses a lot of it on heavily grimed carpets.
