It’s really straight forward to use. It Picked up cat vomit stains from my carpet.
A while ago I Spilled blue airwick dye on my carpet and it picked that up too, those stains have been their months. The photos don’t do it justice. I’ve used it on my IKEA rugs too. Well worth the money.
Amazing tool, what a difference
Spot the spot! Brilliant to clean up when your dog has an accident. This tool is a total hero, easy to use and clean. Even old stains on the carpet improve.
This does what it says spot clean perfectly.
It would have been better if you put a longer attachment so we wouldn’t need to get down on knees, lots of us have osteoporosis meaning it’s heard to get down because of the pain.

his little portable spot cleaner is absolutely amazing I’m a single mom bringing up a daughter on my own and this spot cleaner does wonders it does an amazing job on cleaning up spills on your furniture chairs with soft furnishings your stairs and car seats if you have a car its just a handy little machine to have it can be stored in a cupboard out of the way don’t dispear if you accidentally drop something on your couch or floor get the bissell spot clean it easy to use and it has a built in water heater that keeps it at a curtain temperature so you formula works better to lift out those grotty strains on your furniture or soft furnishings this machine is worth the money I paid for it invest in one you be so glad you did

my partner works a construction job and works with oil n general dirt so you could imagine the colour of my car seats after a few months of giving him lifts home! however after using this my seats looked brand new again! was really easy to use and was really handy for the carpets on my stairs as well. definitely recommend.

Cleaned up my cats sick easily!
I bought this because my cat has a sensitive stomach and I rent with a cream carpet. Nightmare.
First time using it – So easy to understand the instructions! The vomit had been dried on over night and the carpet pile is quite thick too, so I was a little worried, but it was so easy. I just filled up to the markings and away I went! Gone in a couple of mins. Plus, it fits away so easily in the cupboard. Its going to save so much time and effort, good bye all the buckets and “cat sick only sponges and gloves”.
Only down side is the hose looks like it wont last very long, but I’m sure if youre gentile with it, it’ll be fine. For the price, I think you’d be an idiot to think you can just yank this thing around.

Waited until I used the cleaner before I wrote a review, our two recliners are 6 years old and were pretty poor looking due to heavy traffic so we invested in some covers to hide them ! Cleaner was easy to set up and get going, if you don’t constantly keep your finger on the trigger so you don’t soak each area it’s great, more I used it the less liquid was used. You do need elbow grease to get the stains out but it’s well worth the effort, each chair took about half an hour to do. I have done them both twice and I will be doing them a third the next time we have a warm day as it must have take around 24 hours to fully dry. They do smell better and the fabric feels so much better. You could use them on the stairs and small areas of room carpet, also be useful clean up any liquid spillage.

I bought a car and after I got it home I realised the seats weren’t leather they were so filthy that they looked like leather, I am pretty convinced that the previous owner must have driven with his dog on his lap because even the seat belt stunk.
This cleaner was brilliant and it made a huge difference to the seats. It was worth every penny, didn’t drench the seats, it left the seats quite dry. So glad I bought it!
Great for small spaces
Used mainly on the upholstery in our motorhome. Very easy to use and cleaned well. Sucks up most of the liquid, surfaces left only slightly damp. Got out lots of invisible dirt.

This little machine is really good. You get to know what works best after first few uses.
My only moan is that the hose is really short and not very flexible.

Aftermath of Travel Sickness Sorted!
Machine was easy to put together and operate. Bought this as my car seats still smelled after child was travel sick in the car. Very happy to report that the smell has FINALLY gone. Also gave this a whirl on my other seats and it got out an old coffee stain. Needless to say that the water tank came out dirty so very satisfying getting rid of the stains of a family car!
Word of warning. The dirty water tank is tricky to fully clean out, some creative swishing will do the job though. Plus it’s worth cleaning the brush vacuum element as it does collect grains of dirt from where the vacuum missed.
Noisy, but really does the job
Kids have a habit of dropping anything and everything onto our sofas and smearing it in. Luckily this cleaner is excellent and brings it back looking like new, easy to use and not too bulky for storage. Only slight downside is it is very noisy. But I would definitely recommend

Got this after fighting for my money back twice over spot cleaners that arrived broke or not up to the job.
This machine is a joy to use and has taken the stress out of my life. I am a disabled animal owner so accidents are part of my life. There isn’t a week goes by without the Bissell spot cleaner coming out. It cleans my sofa, mats, pillows and carpet of stains and spill marks. It’s also quite therapeutic watching the dirt disappear to leave a nice clean area.
The carry handle and shape means it’s very easy to transport and store. I wash it out after every use with a certain disinfectant known for producing a variety of scents and sometimes put a spot of it into the cleaning water too. Well done Bissell …You Rock!

Love this, so useful and works brilliantly
Wow – this has got to be the best cleaner we have purchased! We have a stand up VAX which has seen better days so got this for smaller spills. It’s so useful, it’s super portable, very easy to use and much easier to clean than a stand up (especially the VAX which gets really dirty in the main suction head compartment and you cant get to clean it). This comes apart so you can clean the hose head properly.
It’s great for getting spills and accidents up from carpets, so far we have used it on cat pee (on a sofa no less – used the Bissell Pet Stain and Spill treatment with it and after going over a few times it’s now fine), many spilt coffees on cream carpet, and even a bowl of cereal on the sofa (poor sofa, getting abused but the clumsiest family) and thank goodness no stale milk smells. For that one we used the regular treatment you get with the cleaner and was great.
So when you spill something or find a pet mess, you can quickly whip it out to head over to get it on the job straight away.
Would highly recommend this, and a bit of advice, I usually rinse it through with some clean or treated water a few times if you have cleaned up something particularly nasty, to clean it though, but remember to let it run for a few seconds with just air, to try to dry out the hose pipe itself to stop any algae forming inside it.

Hot Water required
Good product with strong suction for spot cleaning. Bedroom carpet use only. I would have liked clearer instructions re: heated water. The name of the product led me to believe it heated the water. I have been adding hot water to the tank – it doesn’t heat cold water. This makes a huge difference especially on stubborn stains

After taking delivery of a 3 piece sofa, it really needed a freshen up. The Bissekl Spotclean Proheat stood up to the job as you can see by the previously “its bern cleaned for you” results.

Absolutely first class
I wish I’d got this years ago! We recently hired a rug doctor to clean all our carpets because our latest rescue dog had had various accidents before settling down to being fully house-trained. The day after my poor husband had finished cleaning all the carpets in the house and returned the rug-doctor to the supermarket, the flipping dog went into season!! So I got this cleaner to clean up the various blood-stains decorating the living room and our bedroom. I was so impressed by it – powerful, effective and really easy to use. It was definitely worth the money and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to clean up occasional spillages and stains, especially if you own pets and they have accidents from time to time. With 3 dogs we definitely need it.

To be honest I didn’t think it would be as good as it is. Tried it on a old light grey and white large rug and yes it took a few goes but it has come up so bright and clean. I tried it on this as thought if it can get this looking good it can do anything. I would definitely recommend
Mattress cleaning
I am in love with this product. I used it to clean my mattress, it was simple to use and has really freshened it up giving it a new lease of life. Left the window open during the day at it dried within a few hours.

I had been looking into buying a wet vacuum for my stairs for some time. The dog apparently likes to vomit on my carpeted stairs, and only there – never on hardwood floors. Despite cleaning it every time, there were unsightly and smelly stains left behind. A friend recommended this particular vacuum after he used it in his car.
It came quickly and with an instruction manual that was easy to read and understand. Setting up the small machine took only a few minutes. I filled it with the water and put some of the cleaning product that came with the machine into it and set to work. It took probably 10 or 15 minutes for the carpet to become completely clean! Slowly, the stain lifted and the vacuum was easy to use; you squeeze on a small trigger to spray out water and then drag the bristled brush back over the wet area to suck up the moisture and the stain. It lifted and my carpet looked amazing afterwards!
I would highly recommend this product, especially for carpets and rugs. I have yet to use it in my car or on any other furniture like sofas or pillows, but I can imagine it would work just as well. Wonderful piece of kit every household should have!

This is very easy to set up and get going. However the amount of energy it takes to clean a small amount of sofa is phenomenal, I was almost out of breath after cleaning a seat of a sofa.
It will leave water/tide marks if you don’t suction out enough of the fluid. It did leave a noticeable difference to the cleanliness of the sofa. Maybe my expectations were too high but I thought that it would make the sofa look almost new again, and for the most part it did that, but there were still some stubborn messes that were not completely gone after drying. Perhaps a second wash would get rid of them but I’m just too exhausted after doing the chaise part of the sofa, maybe in a month.

Good for families
Having young kids there are often small spills, bit the bissell spotclean does work well on these. I went for this machine over the pro due to the heat technology, but this is really unnoticeable and the water never feels warm, even after a long use. Having said that it does still clean well. Some stubborn stains may require some scrubbing and a second pass with the spot clean, but overall very happy with the results.

Absolutely fantastic just what I was looking for.just a small handed cleaner to do my stairs and settee.i did my stairs as soon as it come couldn’t believe how dirty it was as we have a darkish carpet. It actually works.... well.
This product is worth the price. It cleaned my sofas better than anything else we had tried. It left the product wet and took few hours to dry but we used this in the winter and I imagine in the warmer climate it will dry faster. It is light and compact and fits in a kitchen cupboard. It’s a bit loud.

Absolutely Grea
It’s everything you ever wanted. Quick to assemble with the appropriate fluids, easy to empty, easy and quick to use and extremely effective. Better for small areas than those big monsters rhyming with Max which take ages to clean and are complex to assemble and dissemble.
It has good suction power and it’s done a great job on a suede suite (although I’m sure not intended for suede), which otherwise I would have had to throw away as it was so badly stained.
I was a little confused by the cold temperature of the water though, as I expected it to heat the water. On a little research I discovered that it’s intended for you to put hot water in it, rather than it actually heating the water.
I found the nozzle quite hard work as the tough tube it’s attached to (non-adjustable, fixed to the machine) seems to want to face UP and my wrist grew tired having to grip it so tightly that I could force it to face down so that it stayed in contact with the cleaning surface.
It works well though and I’m generally very pleased with it.

Love this, spraying the gun on the stains and watching them dissolve and run and then disappear is satisfying. I did my entire bedroom using this. Only down fall I have are
1) the waste tank doesn’t fill very high before it needs emptying, a little below half way (when it needs emptying it stops the suction
2) the hose feels a little flimsy
Now for the good bits
1) stains come up brilliantly, little to no effort and no scrubbing needed
2) the water maintains its temperature, I put hot tap water and it came out the spray the same temp as was put into the tank
3) the liquid solutions are bigger than expected, I didn’t follow the guidance, and I used a lot less fluids than recommended and found it did brilliantly so decided to stick to that amount each time I filled up. I refilled about 8 times and still have fluid left over
4) it isn’t ridiculously noisy like most machines, probably slightly quieter than a vacuum cleaner
5) the carpets aren’t left drenched, they are left ever so slightly damp and soon dry after an hour or 2.
6) it’s so easy to store, brilliantly designed and doesn’t take up loads of room.
I would really recommend this product to anyone, my carpets where covered in printer ink, foundation, lip gloss, and plenty of other liquids (youngest caught playing with makeup)
I did scrub to remove gloss and I seriously didn’t ever expect it to come up,and it did.
Highly recommended, especially if you have kids, pets or anyone messy, or even old carpets like mine, I never ever realised how dirty it was until I had see the black tank.
Excellent product - even better than expected
Bought this on a whim after reading an newspaper article about how effective if was cleaning car seats. Came in very handy over Christmas when a large glass of red wine got spilt on an pale coloured upholstered chair. The Bissel spotclean was fantastic and totally removed the stain following about 30 minutes work. The chair is good as new and would otherwise have gone on a skip so the spotclean machine has effectively paid for itself already.
Restored sofa to new
Absolutely stunning piece of kit. Easy to put together, just attach the two tanks to the side. I also bought the slightly larger brush and some febreeze scented shampoo also from Bissell – would recommend these as I used half a bottle for my first go but anticipate will need less next time. I have a large corner sofa which I have had over ten years. I adore it but it had started to look grubby. An hours fun with this machine and I am the proud owner of a bucket full of sludgy water and a sofa that looks like the day I bought it. Be light on the water trigger as it dispenses plenty. My sofa was spotlessly clean and dry again within a couple of hours. Amazing.

Spot cleaning of rugs and carpets has always been troubling me, this tool does the job brilliantly by sucking in the dirty water after spraying clean water and detergent right in front of the vacuum nozzle. Small enough to be put away easily and with all attachments nicely wrapping and latching around it without any need to disassemble/reassemble it. I’m very happy about this!
Little magic
I use this every Sunday for 2 hrs to clean the mess that my two toddlers make. My velvet sofa and my fabric dining sets are still in my flat thanks to this machine. Perfect for stains, beyond, pens, paints, food, ketch ups, strawberries any stain you name it.
Brilliant for small areas
Great little machine with two cat vomiting machines in the house is in constant standby. Cleans up mishaps with minimal fuss and leaves the carpets clean and refreshed. Only complaint in came with minimal instructions which were clear as to how to put it together but nothing on how to use it!

Overall this is a good compact cleaner. It took a couple of attempts to get the hang of using it. My biggest disappointment is that it doesn’t heat the water, it alleges to maintain the temperature of the water but that is questionable in my opinion. I was hoping for a slight steam option. The other drawback is the amount of pressure you have to apply to suction head to draw the water out of what you’ve just sprayed. It also leaves things very wet after use. All that aside, it is good at spot cleaning and stain removing. So, yes I do recommend it but with the aforementioned caveats.
Super little machine
What’s to like about this ? Well everything I used it on a rug that had some stains on it. It took them out straight away with no effort. My son used it on his car seats they came up like new he couldn’t believe the difference. It’s so easy to use suction is good plenty of cable and it’s easy to clean when you have finished using it. It’s a bit pricey but i think its worth every penny

What’s to like about this ? Well everything I used it on a rug that had some stains on it. It took them out straight away with no effort. My son used it on his car seats they came up like new he couldn’t believe the difference. It’s so easy to use suction is good plenty of cable and it’s easy to clean when you have finished using it. It’s a bit pricey but i think its worth every penny

I really love this product. We have 2 young dogs and this machine has been able to clear up stains that even an upright carpet cleaner couldn’t! It’s so compact and easy to store and so easy to use. Messes are cleared up quickly and our furniture and carpets look like new. The cleaning products which go with this product leave a fresh smell. It’s now my favourite cleaning product!!

I have to say what’s not to like, I was looking more for a mattress cleaner than carpet/upholstery cleaner. But have this compact seriously powerful little cleaner. I wanted more than a steam cleaner for my mattress cleaning looked for other mattress cleaners and most had horrid reviews. I took a chance and bought this knowing I would still need it for carpets and upholstery on an as and when basis. But mattresses every 3 months or so. Seriously came out like new, I can’t show before and after but spilt some tea which went through to the mattress also, came out completely. Had to treat twice as was stubborn but when dried, you would never know it was there. Only down side it came with only the small attachment, so had to get the larger head separately. To include that would be good. An excellent investment.

The instructions were very poor, but once I figured out how to use it, it did exactly what I needed.
Great Spot Carpet Cleane
I bought this to compliment a new Vax Compact carpet cleaner to do the carpets along the edges and stairs. It exceeded my expectations, removing the darks edges of the bedroom carpets and a first class job on the stair carpet removing all stains, did a great job on the upholstery of my dining chairs. I would highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing!
Absolutely an amazing machine. I used to clean a sofa bed that was really in a very bad condition with stains of dirt and was not cleaned for over 3 years. After using the machine it looks like almost brand new. It’s unbelievable the difference. I definitely recommend it.
I really like it! It’s definitely more designed for upholstery rather than carpets but I wanted something small and compact rather than a big clunky machine so I decided to go with this and I’m glad I did. It was really to assemble, didn’t need to look at any instructions, was a very basic set up. It come with two ‘sample’ bottles of cleaner but I was pleasantly surprised at how big they are. They will do a good few tanks of water! I was expecting tiny amounts but they’re fab. Smells fantastic too! The cleaner itself has fantastic suction, it’s quite fascinating seeing how well it sucks up the dirt. I have been tackling a carpet with it. A carpet that is a good few years old and hasn’t been looked after in any way and it’s been doing a good job at lifting the dirt from it. It’s going to take a few going overs to get it super clean again but I put that down to the carpet rather than the cleaner! There is definitely a good noticeable difference and the carpet is looking more blue rather than grey again! It does take some elbow grease but it’s a small cleaner and it is more for small surfaces like sofas rather than carpets but it’s still doing a great job. My one and only fault with it, is that the hosepipe on it is very short and quite stiff. Can make it a bit awkward to hold and move sometimes but otherwise it’s a fantastic cleaner and definitely does the job well! Its a little noisy too but that’s simply because the suction is so strong!! I love it! Definitely recommend i

Have not tryed yet has it did not come with any trial shampoo in box but look ok I have now used it I found it great cleans up old stains very well would buy again but dont need too has I am happy great job

I bought this cleaner purposely for the car seats and carpet, i was very pleased with the muck that came out and into the cleaner container, it would have been nice if the company gave a larger cleaning fluid, than one that will only probably last about 3 cleans.

Quick, easy and great little spot cleaner.
Bought this due to its size. I have 2 puppies so ideal for small mishaps and saves bringing out my large carpet washer every time. Definately recommend for small collages and mark removal. Very quick and easy to assemble and use. Takes a couple of minutes to clean up mess.
A Godsend for Pet Owners
Like other reviewers, we have cats which have a habit of vomiting on the carpet. Using sprays often left stains and we relied on getting the carpet cleaner in every few months. With this unit, I can whip it out and clean up any messes really quickly with no stains or residues left on the carpet. One tank cleans about 2 square metres so it’s certainly not a replacement for a larger unit but it does mean we only have to get the professionals in every six months or so. Just ordered the 6″ tool to complement the smaller 3″ one which comes with the unit. The only issue is the need to plug it in but having read the reviews of the Vax battery powered equivalent, I think it’s worth the hassle to get the better suction.

Bought this to clean upholstery on various armchairs and the results are amazing. It’s so easy to use, not at all heavy to carry around and the water coming out of the chair is satisfyingly (and disgustingly) brown! The only problem I had was with the picture only instructions – I’d have liked words too. I wasn’t sure whether the machine heated the water or whether you add the water at 60 degrees as indicated in the slightly confusing pic. But I just looked on the answered questions section here and it seems you put the water in at the temperature you need it. Happy cleaning!

I love this machine! So easy to assemble. Very clear instruction booklet. For very dirty carpets you do need to clean two or three times. The first time brings out all the dirt from below so carpet looks a bit dodgy after first clean. But leave to dry then clean again a few days later and carpet looks great! Also the compact size of this machine makes it easy to store away in a small flat. Brilliant item!!
Good value, great performance on a variety of stains.
This product is great, it performs well for it’s size and price. I’ve tried it on a number of stains and it has removed over 90% of them. We bought it also to freshen carpets where they get alot of wear. Also is great for a refresh too. I think the cleaning fluids are a little pricey and very old stains have not been totally removed so may need something more powerful.

Very good spot cleaner, it actually cleaned so well that I ended up trying to do the entire hallway. It really gets the carpet clean and it is very easy to use.

All in all a great little powerful cleaner. Cleaned up my sofa and spot cleans carpets really well. Even did my stairs. You can see the dirt sucking out once it going going which I really liked! Packs up nice and small too. Easy to keep in a small cupboard

This machine is super efficient at cleaning small patches on the carpet and rugs. It’s easy to empty and it’s design makes it convenient to store. I find that it has slightly less suction than another cleaner that I had, but to be honest, what it provides is more than enough. Would definitely recommend.

Results!
After debating whether to purchase a new suite or to invite a Professional Cleaner to my home, I decided to give this machine a go. My suite is still very comfortable but very dirty (I blame our 2 dogs lol). Within minutes of using this machine, after very easy assembly, I was amazed at the difference it made to an armchair, followed by a nasty stain on a large rug, followed by anything I could find within the home that needed a little clean. Brilliant machine, very impressed.

What a great product !!! I read the reviews on small cleaners and this one had the best reviews so I purchased it. I’ve certainly not been disappointed. I’ve used it on a regular basis ( my dogs have accidents and also run mud from the garden into the house ) would absolutely recommend! 10/10

A very manageable upholstery cleaner also suitable for stairs. It stores away very neatly in most cupboards. It’s lightweight easy to use I would certainly recommend as part of your household cleaning regime. Would recommend after all this all has been around for a very long time

I was very impressed after first use and even more impressed at the condition of the carpet after cleaning. I couldn’t believe the colour of the water after cleaning I had no idea my carpet was so filthy! I will be using this regularly from now on! Oh the carpet wax dry in an hour too!
I love this carpet cleaner. Instructions are really simple and in plain English (not translated from China like many products are). It does exactly what its supposed to. I just had a go on my carpet that’s not been properly cleaned for several years (I used to get on hands and knees with scrubbing brush) – and it’s come up a treat,especially on old coffee stains. I have 2 eeks about it. Firstly, I would prefer a longer tube. It’s not that much of a big deal, just meant I had to sit down and do it. And secondly, I would prefer a higher suction rate. Which is also not much of a big deal. It just meant I had to be patient. But they was very old stains so I guess after I’ve got rid of all the old stains, I will just need to maintain its cleanliness which should be no issue at all. My only regret is that I didn’t get one of these sooner. Great machine. Same noise as a Henry hoover. And small enough to put away under the sink.
Light and easy to handle.
Mostly I liked the manoeuvrability of this gadget; it is small enough to sit on the stairs if you need it there and is very light weight to carry upstairs to a bedroom also. It is, however, only useful on fairly small areas but then stains tend to be on not very large bits. Expensive for what it is though, but I guess it does what it is supposed to do.
Absolutely fabulous. I’ve had a stand up Carpet Cleaner for years. It normally lives in the shed because it’s so bulky. It was a top brand but was an effort to use, clean get out etc. This little wonder does the same job 10 times better and is always to hand a steady to go in seconds. The only wait time is spraying the stain and letting it soak in for 5 mins. Think I’ve used this more times in 2 weeks than my very expensive stand up in 7 years .None of them can work miracles but this is a close second bes
Great for spot cleaning
This will not replace an upright carpet cleaner but for spot cleaning on fabric or carpets this seems to do a decent job. Only used it 3 times so far but easy to fill with detergent/water and easy to empty. Doesn’t seem to leave carpets as dry as uprights but only really designed for small areas so less important imo.

The only thing is that I’m sure the new hose is not quite as long & this can really get on your nerves as you have lift & move the unit as you move around the item you are cleaning.
For small stains and spills.
This Bissell Carpet Cleaner is a convenient and effective cleaner for small spills and stains in the home. So far, it has proved effective for red wine, dog stains , mud and mysterious smudges on carpets and upholstery in cars. It works best if the area to be cleaned is dampened, not soaked, with water beyond the area of the stain before using the cleaner. This blends the cleaned area with the surrounding fabric and avoids a halo effect. The cleaner head is about 7 cm wide, so is at its most effective as a spot cleaner for accidents rather than spring cleaning. A useful tool for the household arsenal.
This machine is easy to use but will only do a small area. That’s fine by me as that’s how it was described. It is light to carry about but the cord could be longer. It lifts off recent stains very well but not older ones. The various bits are easy to clean but I wonder how long the little rubber plugs will last as they get pushed in and pulled out so often. Surely a little watertight solid screw plug would be better? I was also disappointed to get loads of spot remover but only a tiny bottle of shampoo. Ordinary carpet shampoos apparently can’t be used in the cleaner so I shall soon have to buy some more, which is pricey.
Despite all these minor criticisms, I am very happy with the machine and can’t wait to try it on the car upholstery.

I didn’t want a big cleaner because I would have no where to store it, so after reading the reviews I decided to opt for this. I wanted it for cleaning a large rug as well as a large three seater sofa. Its easy to assemble and to use, its also really easy to empty and rinse out afterwards which is great. But as others reviewers have done, I found it very hard work doing a large area and It wasn’t easy to evenly clean it. Although I could see the dirty water tank filling up which was really satisfying, and also shaming which made me feel glad I was cleaning it!. The attachment head the cleaner comes with is small to make it more suited for doing a sofa or chair. As it claims, it is a spot cleaner, and I have found it ideal for cleaning spills and stains. The more you spray the water/cleaning product onto an area to clean, the longer it takes for it to dry. It took a couple of days for my sofa to be completely dry and even then I had to get the hair dryer on it to speed it up. I think it is something I need to get better at using. I’m pleased with the machine overall, and it does what it claims. It just isn’t for large areas, so it wasn’t quite what I was hoping for, you definitely need a larger machine for that. There may be different sized heads you can buy, I’ll have to look into it.
Don’t normally leave reviews, but thought given the state of my sofa arms after a long period of building works and abuse it was worth sharing! Good bit of kit and think we’ve saved the sofa replacement for another day!
Does what it says on the tin. Works well, if you use a good cleaning solution and follow the instructions properly, on small-medium areas or multiple small sections (e.g. stairs). Too much work for large areas, e.g. room carpets or very large rugs/mats, though it could do it if you had enough inclination and time. Better use a larger machine for bigger areas if you have the need, otherwise you’ll be happier with the space saved having a small machine like this one.
A teensy bit expensive for what it is though, so -1 star.
Tip:
The best way to use this is to spray cleaning solution on the carpet before and leave for a few minutes, then use a drill brush to agitate before vacuuming up the dirty water.
Regular liquid washing detergent and Vanish work effectively and are cheaper than the branded solution.
I have no idea why my cat refuses to vomit on the easy-to-clean floors in my house, but he apparently prefers to puke on the comfort of a pale carpet or a sofa. This wee carpet cleaner is so fantastic that it will completely vanish stains from a beige carpet. The cleaning solution it comes with smells amazing. It takes a bit of getting used to (press the red lever to spray the solution but don’t spray too much at the one time, then let go and you have to quite firmly press the brush into the carpet and pull it backwards to get the solution out of the carpet again). You also have to take the components apart and thoroughly wash them after use which is a bit of a faff but it’s not too onerous. I bought it 6 months ago and am still always impressed by how well it cleans. Comes with good instructions.
Absolutely fab, better than my Vac upright. Have demonstrated to family and friends when they come over and everyone has gone and bought one. The sofabed was ruined by a wet mucky dog and Ready to be chucked until I used this Bissell and now looks new.
My son had an wee accident in the back of our car and I had two choices: pay for a professional valet or buy a mobile upholstery cleaner that would do the job. We got a little excited with cleaning the car so also used it on some of our carpets (drawn on by our daughter) and our sofa (which was covered in nappy cream by the same culprit). It did a brilliant job with all three. The day after cleaning there was a weird smell around these areas that I’m not sure about but by the day after the smell was gone. It could be the cleaning products (we had two bottles sent in the box), maybe I mixed them wrong. Otherwise it was easy to assemble and use. My only minor criticism would be that the hose is a little short.
