To be honest, I wouldn’t know if an anti-virus was working brilliantly or not. I started with Bitdefender last year as it had very good reviews and the price was really good for 10 machines. Didn’t see any reason not to continue EXCEPT the renewal price (supposedly a ‘Great Deal’) seemed pretty high! I checked on Amazon who were doing it for HALF of the supposed ‘Great Deal’ price. Not only that but NEXT to the Amazon price on screen, Bitdefender were enticing me to ‘Check out their special offer’ so checked it out and it was the same as their OTHER ‘Great Deal’ price i.e. double the Amazon price! Not good marketing /PR Bitdefender!!
Anyway I’d bought it and it installs seamlessly and is hopefully doing a good job.
Oh I did have a small technical issue when trying to install but used their chat line and it was easily and efficiently dealt with so I’m happy overall!

This is my second order for Bitdefender, my first order arrived with no activation code inside, it had obviously been opened as the seal on the card was cut open and card removed completely. I phoned Amazon ( foreign call centre i assume as could barely understand the lady advisor ) and we got there in the end and i received refund, so i reordered and came next day.
I had to return original order and i placed note inside to say no activation code inside as this would probably end up back on shelf again in warehouse.
As far as Bitdefender is concerned, installed fine and for 20 you can’t go wrong.

I have used Norton 360 for decades.
Although the product is good.
Then cost of renewel was excessive.
Forced over the last few years to wait till the renewel was almost up so they could over it at a single user cost.
Bitdefender’s renewel is just a single user cast and the fact the reviews online gave it a better rating than Norton 360.

Bought as a renewal
Bought this as it is cheaper to buy a new subscription than to renew an existing one. Stupid or not?
Good AV software, but it can be a pain with its nag messages. I haven’t figured out how to turn them off. I just want it do do its job quietly. The included VPN is rubbish – just 200MB of data daily. They really want you to take out a separate subscription. Verdict: good product at this price, but could do without the messages!
Superb as always
I have been buying from here for a few years now, rather than paying an exorbitant price.
You get the code in the post ASAP, put it in, and jobs done.
Make sure you buy the same device version as you already have though, you can up the devices 5 to 10, but if you go 10 to 5 and input the code, you’ll need to contact bitdefender and get them to sort it out.
Easy to install
Very easy to install! However the bonus of 200mb VPN had already disspeared before I even started to use my pc immediately after the installation.

No Annual Renewals
I have always bought Norton but got fed up of the Annual renewal and having to provide my Credit Card details. With Bitdefender, there is no requirement to provide your Credit card details. I found it very easy to install and it seemed to run very quickly. The proof as they say is in the eating so I will have to see how good it is; but on first impressions it seems to be very good for the money.
Be careful with auto renew price.
Its only value for money if you look round for the best price. Auto renew and you will pay far too much. Great product though.

Needed a change.
I have used Norton for many years by purchasing afresh each year, but the now mandatory demand for credit card information regardless of purchase route was a step too far.
So far I am happy with Bitdefender which installed with very little fuss on a Win8.1 laptop and Android tablet. As far as I can see it runs well in the background. My only gripe is the scroll ‘bar’ which is so narrow as to be almost impossible to grab with the mouse pointer, and is completely impossible to to use with my laptop touchscreen. The Android interface is different and works perfectly with the touchscreen.
Great Security
I’ve used Bitdefender for many years and found it an excellent product. The only down-side, is that if you subscribe to the product after the first year purchase, the cost rockets. Even their special offers are 4x as much as you pay on Amazon. Best and cheapest option is to by a new package every year from Amazon.

So far, so good, less system intensive than Norto
Seems to run much more efficiently than Norton with the added bonus it doesn’t require your credit card number (yes that’s you Norton) even if you don’t auto-renew! I guess the proof will be in the pudding and whether I get caught out by a virus – though it did detect some sort of Trojan in an email that Norton appeared to miss, following a full system scan.
I’m sticking with Bitdefender for a fourth year, because it’s never let me down; it’s always in the top places in the annual Which big test of security suites; it’s the least resource greedy security I’ve ever used, never leaving me with the feeling that my computer belongs more to the security system than it does to me, as some others I’ve used previously have done; there are invariably good deals on offer here on Amazon, cheaper than via either the reminder emails or renewing through the dashboard of the program itself, even to buy direct from Bitdefender rather than a reseller; both Bitdefender Central and the dashboard are straightforward and well-presented, therefore it’s easy to install and select the settings one requires, and when it puts out an alert that it has blocked a potential threat, the message is clear as to what it has done and why, and how to override it if one thinks it has been overzealous. All things considered, I can’t really fault this security suite in any way.

I have been a Bitdefender customer for years so I was happy to renew. It’s a good price and has great features. It’s a shame that Bitdefender discounts for renewal are like insurance companies and the deal is always better just to buy like this as a new customer.

A warning about being hacked though Zoom
* Introduction
This is an account of a hacking my PC was exposed to this week. And what Bitdefender Internet Security 2021 and Acronis True Image 2020 played in this hacking of my PC, and its recovery.
I am a long term user of Bitdefender Internet Security, since 2015. And use Acronis True Image since 2017. My PC with care was tested and secure with Windows 10 Pro 20H1. With this lockdown, I have been using Zoom for over a year once a week. Last Monday, when i connected, the mouse in my G.U.I was moving on its own. I shut it down and restarted. I googled this mouse issue, and updated my mouse driver, as the online help suggested this could be a mouse driver problem. Then mouse support was removed, and every method to recover my machine was blocked; couldn’t use a Restore Point, as my passwords were made invalid, couldn’t use Acronis to recover the image, couldn’t use Bitdefender, couldn’t use Safe Mode and its tools. Couldn’t even access IOLO System Mechanics. I noted the clock was wrong as was the date too. Not even access MSConfig and Device Manager proved to be not accessible. I noted that Remote Access was changed to on when I had not set it up this way. I was up late trying to fix it, as the computer engineers were in lockdown, and I potentially could see my PC offline for months. Nothing to lose, i used Windows Settings / Update and Security / Recovery / Reset this PC. And chose to keep my files. This saves files and then reinstalls the latest Windows 10 operating system. It took over three hours but it worked! Not all of my applications survived, but my PC is now really responsive. Only 20% of my own files survived this procedure. These applications were gauged as being a security liability, I guess?
I have updated to the latest Bitdefender Total Security 2021. Its the best antivirus currently and i still have faith in this application utility. Just be aware its windows security is like walking on ice, you could breakthrough at any time. Also updated passwords of accounts and password of my Hub Router.
* Summary
The previous version of Bitdefender Internet Security 2021 and with Windows up-to-date for security, couldn’t protect my secure computer from this hacking via a
insecure Zoom application. This is due to the Bitdefender couldn’t be driven by the keyboard, only by the G.U.I. mouse. The point is my PC as secure as I tested it weekly. So be aware of these issues and especially with Zoom. If you google ‘Can zoom be hacked’, and its an education. But i feel better as my PC was recoverable and with the loss of legacy applications, such as MS Office 2010, Roxio NXT2, it’s much more responsive. And hopefully more secure..
* Can I continue to participate in these group streaming meetings?
I now telephone the streaming group organiser and listen to his computer speakers through this connection.

I already use Bitdefender Total Security so this was just a matter of renewing my subscription. Best price going, just typed in my new serial number and that was it.
Problem quickly resolved
My initial review said, “Ridiculous! The gift card contained no activation voucher. It had already been opened and was empty. I will let you know if this is a one off”.
Happy to say I ordered another one immediately (before I had time to return the first one). It arrived promptly the very next morning.

A Great Price and Rated by Which? to boot.
I already had Bitdefender that I bought a few years ago via an offer from the company.
But I made a mistake renewing it and it lapsed.
Bitdefender told me they could do me a special offer to reinstate it, which, although I can’t remember the exact amount, was significantly more than what Amazon are charging.
To put the cherry on top, Which? have reviewed Bitdefender in their latest issue and, although it is not their top pick, it is their second choice and scores the same (81%) as their number one choice of Internet Protection software.
It was, as the modern parlance goes, a “no-brainer”!
Easy to install and user friendly interface and not too intrusive
I moved to using Bitdefender mainly because my previous antivirus had developed into a form of nagware, constantly informing me of various add on improvements I could make that led me to worry that the product I had paid for was at best incomplete. Bit Defender does not do this. In the main it stays in the background and does it’s job, which is what I want from an antivirus.
Installation was the cleanest and most straightforward experience I have had with any antivirus and the user interface is also very clear and easy to use, so all good there. I also appreciated the utility included that scans your computer for redundant files that take up space and allows you to safely delete them.
Overall my experience with this product has been very positive and so far I have not had any problems with virus’s on my system. So at this point I can honestly recommend this product to anyone looking for a simple to install and use Antivirus that remains mostly in the background and does not bombard you with pop up windows all the time.
Great internet security
I’ve tried many different security suites over the years from Norton, McAfee, Panda to Kaspersky and I find Bitdefender the best. It’s not processor heavy, it easy to install and to upgrade. Like all security applications it’s always cheaper to buy a new product each year rather than opt for their renewal offers which are always more expensive! This is my 3rd annual renewal, so, so far so good. Recommend this product.
All that's needed
I bought Bitdefender after my previous Kasperski, which was very good, wanted double for the following year and didn’t make it easy to stop the automatic renewal. Bitdefender installed easily on our home laptops and phones and works away in the background like all good antivirus programmes. It also has many “Best” Reviews form computer magazines.

Bitdefender themselves wanted 66, reduced to 33 for 12 months, Amazon 19.99, no brainer. I’ve been purchasing the 12 month update through amazon for a few years now as it’s cheaper than anywhere. Code is 100% genuine, installed code and activate, done.
I have been using Bitdefender for a few years now, and I am pleased with the protection it offers, it works automatically in the background so it is really unobtrusive which is an excellent user experience. It really does take the security off your mind, of course, I would still advise the use of common sense when browsing the Internet and to be wary of scams present everywhere. It works seamlessly on any device that runs either Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, I would love if it were available on Linux as well, instead of just having the free antivirus option.
The price of this product is really excellent for 20 you get one year of antivirus and antimalware protection for 5 devices which is for most people enough, my partner and I use it on 3 laptops and 2 phones. If you try buying the same product from their website it is at least 50% more expensive and twice as expensive upon renewal, which is why I always disable renewals and just buy codes once a year.
The great thing about antivirus solutions nowadays is that you get all the other useful tools as well, and some not as useful. Just a few years ago you would only get antivirus for the same price, now you get antivirus, antimalware, ransomware protection, email scanning, browser anti-tracker, file-shredder, passwords manager, limited VPN, PC optimizer, which in my opinion is good enough and gives a boost to the value of this product, again for 20 you have more peace of mind and it just works.
Overall, my experience with Bitdefender has been and still is very positive, I don’t even worry about viruses any more, sure I am still being cautious, and am using common sense but I am not stressing about having to use the backup in case virus encrypts or destroys my data. Again I would advise using backups along with the virus protection if you save any important data on your device, I myself store data on the cloud which is why I do not use backups.

Have been using Bit Defender for a few years now and have always been happy with their products. Easy to use but can also be customised if your knowledge is better. Does not tax a computer and runs well in the background. Have never had any issues with it.

This is my first time using this product after using another Internet security for many years. I’ve found this product to be excellent to use, very easy to understand and use. The installation was very quick and the instructions easy to follow.

Reliable antivirus software
Used on both Windows 10 and an Android phone. Doesn’t hog machine resources, so easily able to play games with it in the background. My only gripe is the pricing model: it ‘rewards’ me with a renewal price 10 more than what Amazon are selling at.
Great value
I already had Bitdefender but there renewal was going to be three times more than this but exactly the same protection, it was so easy to install as all I had to do was go into my account and enter my new activation code which adds on 1 year onto my current subscription, wish I had done this last year as well.
Works well, however Favourites in SafePay not editable and limited to 4
Prefer this to my Usual Norton option I go for each year. Easy to use and doesn’t seem to take up as much resource.
Only grip is once you set your 4 favourites in the SafePay window you can’t change them, or delete them. Wrote to Tech support but no feedback. If this was resolved in a software patch or future release would be 5 stars.
Must have antivirus
New to this product, like it a lot. Only complaint is why push for customers to buy the next product up before learning about this one first. Also not everyone is in a position to buy anything more right now!
Good reliable security suite which doesn’t slow down the system (Win 10 in my case) plenty of configurations, tools and options including great auto pilot mode.
My only gripe, their auto renewal quote are very expensive, and if you keep ignoring then they start lowering it. But it is cheaper to buy a new subscription on Amazon and just extend with code. Shame Bitdefender is fleecing its loyal customers that way.
Recommend you to get this but disable auto renewal and you’ll be fine.
The best there is...
Used Bitdefender for a few years and never let me down, easy on system and regularly gets independent testing and normal ends up top of the tree or there abouts.
Amazon the place to buy it as it legit and the cheapest way to buy it… If I had to criticise it I would say please Bitdefender bring back desktop widget from earlier versions and minor thing the included VPN has a very small traffic limit before needing a premium paid version.
Computer Security - delivered
Bitdefender does well each year in computer security tests held by consumer organisations and specialist magazines. It is easy to install and it just sits in the background keeping your computer and information held on it secure.

Found installation quite easy as I already have 2019 installed. They do not, however, show an extension of the days remaining until the current one runs completely out.

The best there is IMO
I have used BitDef for more than 10 years now – on my desktop, my laptops and our family Samsung mobiles.

Good antivirus
Everyone has a different favourite antivirus, but this always works for me.
I have been using bitdefender for some years now on my machines and also use the extra licences for family members. As yet, not one virus, Trojan etc has got through. Can’t say any better than that.
It’s very easy to install and setup. The tools are useful and not just gimmicks.
It can use up system resources when updating or scanning, but this soon gets released back, just a bit of patience is needed.
Overall I’ve had a positive experience with this software.
Quick tip, always check the Amazon bitdefender store when renewing the license, it’s always cheaper.

I’ve read loads of reviews about other big name anti virus software having install problems I decided to use Bitdefender Total Security 2021. It was so easy to install an idiot could do it, and I did. I’m running my first deep scan at the moment so if I do have a problem Bitdefender can find it and destroy it. Also just noticed it’s got VPN protection and something called ransomware. Need to see exactly what that is and what it dies. But install wise and operating this program was very easy. Will defo recommend. 5 Stars.
Bitdefender great product, crazy pricing policy
i have been using Bitdefender for at least 4 years never had a problem, product works really well and is super easy to install. One caveat make sure you cancel auto renewal and shop around. auto renewal quoted my 69 for ‘Total Security’ . Then I was offered product for 34.99, finally bought here at Amazon for 19.99.
Good price
I have used Bitdefender with my Mac for a few years now and have found it to be a good product which does not seem to affect the speed of the programs, etc. The price of this was a lot cheaper than the automatic renewal that was offered directly from Bitdender.
Good Antivirus and malware protectio
Good antivirus and malware protection, doesn’t seem to impact system resources adversely and isn’t intrusive.
The only issue, I would say, is this product key is posted. Seems a bit wasteful to package a key in an envelope, then some Amazon packaging, put it on the back of a lorry and then a delivery van, to end up in the recycle bin 10 minutes after it’s delivered to my home. Feels like there is a better way of providing this sort of key in today’s digital world

Bitdefender contacted me to apologise for what is most likely an Amazon restocking issue rather than anything to do with Bitdefender, and issued me with an activation code (for 10 devices, not the 5 I originally purchased) for no charge. Excellent customer service.
Original review:
I switched from Kaspersky to Bitdefender because the former was a bit too intrusive, especially around subscription renewal dates. I used the free trial of Bitdefender for a month and was reasonably happy – enough at least to pay the price of this activation code. But… the product arrived already opened and the card with the activation code was missing – just some old glue spots left to show where it once was.
There are a few other reviews saying the same thing. The seller’s replies each say that they are an ‘isolated event due to a manufacturing error ‘. On mine, the seal was cut and the code card obviously removed leaving behind traces on the glue spots. I can’t see how these have anything to do with manufacturing. More likely someone has bought this, removed the card, then returned to Amazon who have restocked without checking the product.
Amazon have refunded, but couldn’t replace as they only fulfil the order, rather than selling the product. Now I have to decide whether to buy again and risk a repeat or search for another option. This leaves an especially bitter taste in the mouth when you consider that you buy security software to try to avoid being ripped off.
Excellent Product, better than Norto
I seem to be one of the many that have transitioned from Norton over to BitDefender after Norton’s exploitive change in their model. Anyway, I’ve been thoroughly impressed by BitDefender, was easy to install, no problems in adding additional users, doesn’t seem to use up much power, and most importantly, it protects against viruses. So overall, I’m glad I made the switch to BitDefender, and would recommend this product to anyone. Very impressive

It came as a down loaded software and not a disk which would have been better as i know that it is there and my computer does not come with a dvd drive but i have bought a external disk drive for software on disk

Decided to go for Bitdefender for a second year. Their renewal “special offer” was 35, whereas buying a new activation code from this seller was 20!
It’s ridiculous, just like car insurance renewal ripoffs. Norton 360 would have been 5 cheaper, but I refuse to buy a product that hangs on to your credit card details in an attempt to lock you in to auto-renewal.
The product itself seems to work well, although I do get pop up notifications at startup saying that my virus definitions are out of date, when the dashboard is showing I’m fully protected.

Bought this to replace Norton 360 after getting ripped off last year with a 79.99 auto-renewal when I mistook the renewal reminder for yet another Norton marketing email and deleted it unread. Also not prepared to give card details to Norton to activate it when I’ve already paid for the product via Amazon.
Anyway, so far so good with Bitdefender, quite slow to download but once there it was simple enough to activate on my archaic laptop and runs unobtrusively. Haven’t got my head around the VPN yet, that seems more complicated and am also having trouble getting rid of Norton Safe Search. Have just done the free upgrade to Windows10 so trying to get the hang of that too, will delete Chrome etc and try restarting with Edge.
The best of the bes
I’ve have used other all in ones before and they usually take a lokk of the processing power in the background and seem to show some items as suspicious. NONE of that with bit defender runs seamlessly in the background only pops up when it needs to. Very easy to tweek to your needs. All in all the best I have bough
Installing was a right faff
I have to say I found the Mac Os version a complete pain to install, once it’s up and running it’s fine and based on the market feedback it’s a good product (though next time I’ll just get basic anti virus as I have Nord VPN which is great) installing on the other devices was a bit tiresome but I have zero tolerance for anything that isn’t click and it works. Frankly the only real extra as I can see over anti virus is a very limited VPN, apple has a great password manager so not sure what the value proposition of this package

GREAT Internet Security
I have been using Bit Defender for a number of years – since they started topping the charts for “anti-virus” type products in PC Magazines annual reviews (at least 5 years). It works effectively in the background, and without a need for much intervention. Purchasing from Amazon provides the product at an amazing price – much cheaper than sale prices by the manufacturer!
I think BitDefender Total Security is a fantastic product, and I’ve been a customer for years. But I will never understand why they insist on punishing loyal customers, by trying to get them to renew at prices 3 times greater than they’re selling it for on Amazon. My advice to all buyers of this product would be to turn off auto-renewal and put a reminder in your calendar for a years time to get back on Amazon, save yourself 60 and get an activation code delivered with same-day delivery. I’ve just done it, and it works perfectly, as there’s nothing stopping existing customers from buying from the cheaper outlet.
I think it’s a poor business model that shows a lack of respect for loyal customers.
I’m impressed with Bitdefender. I’ve not used it before. Over the years I’ve used Norton, Kaspersky, AVG, and others. But when Bitdefender did a scan of my 10 year old archives it found 29 viruses of different types that have previously been passed as virus free by all the other makes of antivirus!
Considerably better than Norto
I really like this program. I was previously using Norton 360 etc and this is far better. It is very effective at keeping you safe online, whilst not slowing up your laptop and this year’s version also has a great parental control feature. The utilities are simple and effective. Highly recommended!
It’s okay
Works well on my Mac but has caused performance issues with my dads Windows PC. The VPN isn’t usable due to it’s ridiculous data cap.
Excellent Produc
After bad experiences installing other Security products, Bitdefender installed so easily I was stunned to find such an excellent product for a give away price. I am not a Computer Nerd, and most of the jargon goes over my head, but this does everything so easily that even now, I still think “there must be a glitch somewhere”, but I’ve yet to find one.
Cancel automatic renewal though, when renewal comes up, buy again from Amazon or E-bay at a fraction of the automatic renewal price. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Worth the Money
Always used free versions over the years from many companies but many of these have been downgraded or become bloated. I like Bitdefender as it has all of the options I need but allows you to configure the extras you want to use and turn off the stuff you don’t. Always scores at or near the top on the independent virus testing sites.
Bought this as the ‘auto renewal’ was a lot more. Came the next day, put the activation code in and a years protection at about a third of the price Bitdefender were charging. All seems good at the moment.
Job Done
I’ve had Bitdefender installed on a MacBook and windows 10 PC for the last year. Works great easy to use good support. Licence was due to expire on 16th May so investigated renewing licence. Bitdefender offered me a discounted renewal for 35, so this discounted licence at 19.99 ( with delivery 22.98) was a no brainer.
Licence came in proper Bitdefender packaging (unlike some licence codes just printed on cardboard) installed fine giving me protection for another year plus the existing few days of current licence. Job done saving 13!
Quick note latest safari doesn’t support 3rd party extensions that aren’t in apple store so Bitdefender trafficlight add on (safe search indicator) can be a bit flakey (restarts on a reboot) but useable.

most of what it does, it does well, probably the most annoying thing (may be my fault for not following instructions properly if i could find the required bit) it keeps telling me my home wireless network is unsecured but to get the VPN encryption protection it appears you have to pay extra for an “add on product” whereas Norton provides VPN as part of its package
Do we ever know if these products really work? I have renewed my subscription for another year because this one seems to do the job. So far as I am aware, I have not suffered from any of the dangers I think I am protected against and I have been able to use my machine without beeing too inconvenienced by the security alerts and protection measures, unlike my experience with Norton and McAfee which were so intrusive I almost wondered if actual viruses might not be less disruptive.
Having said that, I still find getting the setting right on Bitdefender challenging even as someone who is relatively tech-savvy. On balance, I thoroughly recommend this software.
Do not go straight to HTTPS//CENTRAL.BITDEFENDER.COM as on the csrd ssnt to me with my activation code. From your we browser search for Bitdfender, one section had.UK istead of .COM It automatically switched to com and it was ok. Going as stated on card you are diverted to a window company !!!

I have used Bit Defender total security for many years now and it is the best so far, their customer service is excellent and when I had a problem a few years ago it was solved very quickly, I would recommend this to all
I had used Norton Security since the dawn of time, that is, until they have recently made it compulsory to give them your bank card details to activate the product, even if you bought it from a shop, Amazon etc. That is a step too far, so… I read many reviews and decided to give Bitdefender Total Security a try. The installation was very straightforward on three Windows 10 computers I have. I hit a problem installing on a Windows 8.1 laptop and reported it to support. The support team got back to me and the problem was quickly and efficiently resolved. I have worked in an IT development environment for very many years and I was so impressed with the quality of the support I received.
The product itself has a great deal of bang for your buck included in the package. I probably won’t use all the functions/utilities on offer, but they are so easy to access and switch on or off. There is no obvious hit on system performance and the software has run without issue since installing. I cannot comment on how well the product detects, blocks and/or removes security threats yet as I haven’t come across any. All the reviews I have read give the product top marks and rank it at least as good as, if not better, than Norton.
I would recommend this product for anyone seeking a powerful security armoury that is easy to install and use, and at a reasonable price.
Definitely one of the best anti viruses I have used it just runs in the back ground and doesn’t use up much resource. The only reason it loses a star is because it constantly hounds you with pop ups when your license is about to expire and it offers anywhere from 10% all the way to 60% off…I would never buy on subscription though because bit defender will charge you full price the following year if you forget to cancel it so just be wary.
All in all the last 3 years I have used it I have not had any virus, malware or ransomware attack on my PC it locks the webcam if you have one so no apps can access it without permission, same with the microphone. It has all the features you will ever need, safe money, parental lock,folder encryption etc.
Not satisfied Custome
In my opinion this isn’t what I was expecting when I purchased it and I feel it isn’t worth all the hype. I thought I was buying a complete programme that completely covered all my devices but this isn’t the case at all. if I want to properly cover my mobile devices I will need to pay another fee for the mobile programme, yet this says it covers all devices. Thankfully only bought 1 year to try it sadly won’t be keeping this Anti Virus on my devices.
Safe and Secure
Very easy to install on MacBook with a clear user interface giving clear indication of protection and anti-virus scan options which quickly checks key areas with optional fill scan. Bitdefender also gives peace of mind with website checking and warns if the site is a potential risk.
I have used Bitdefender Total Security for over 5 years, I tried it on a free trial for three months or something similar, it was a little rough around the edges but good enough to pay to keep using it, I have renewed each year since, not because it has become easier to do that or because it has become easier to understand, both of these would work against the reason for having it, Bitdefender Total Security works, things do change within the suite and that is a good thing, I trust my passwords and a lot more to Bitdefender, there is a weak link of course, the VPN, now anyone who is going to trust 200mb per day is asking for trouble, it’s barely enough to send a couple of emails, the VPN itself is no prize winner either, I would say that Bitdefenders makers purposely don’t try with their VPN as there are a good number of choices already out there and having a different VPN to your other security options makes a lot of sense, share the love (of fooling the hackers).
When asked to review Bitdefender I had to think about what I should say, that made me realise that I have never had anything hacked successfully, no virus get on to any of my devices (reminder) Bitdefender is now even easier to set up on all that you hold dear, being secure has never been so easy to set up, no matter what the device))
Much more efficient than other solutions
Have been using Kaspersky for some time, but got frustrated that it was causing temporary lock-ups on my Mac. Switched to Bitdefender and have never looked back. Clean user interface and appears really light weight.
Bought this product because it was recommended by Which and I was fed up with Nortons due to charging a huge premium on auto-renewal and their response when challenged. Bitdefender was pretty easy to install although didn’t understand all the techy bits. So far easy to use. Blocks any potential security breaches & advises when it does this. Disk optimisation etc also seems good. Also good value for money. Pleased so far.
I have been using Bit defender to protect my Computer for a few years, I have found it very reliable and confident my PC is secure. This program runs silently in the back ground, and has no detrimental effect on the speed of my computer.
In the past I have tried various internet security programs such as Nortons and McAfee and was never very happy or confident in the way these programs took control and slowed down my PC quite substantially.
When I saw Amazon selling Bit Defender at a much reduced price than the price to renew cover directly with Bit Defender, it makes sense to purchase a new licence and continue protecting my PC with what I consider to be the best protection software available.
I ended up with some spyware and it blocked other software packages from being downloaded – I choice Bitdefender as it wasn’t as well known and had excellent online reviews. I received package today and was able to download with the usual firewall exceptions etc.. and all is running well – all spyware has been successfully removed from my Macbook pro. I have 5 devices to use it on, so will upload onto my kids computers and it also has parental guidance – that is very important.
