I’ve been using mcafee for years. They always annoyed with their auto renewal which was multiple times the price elsewhere. But what really started to drive me crazy was the pop up ads constantly trying to get me to purchase an add on product. So I switched to bit defender and I’m so glad I did. My laptop runs faster, none of this auto renewal nonsense and no pop up ads. A much simpler product to use.
Because of the uncertainty surrounding Kaspersky products, something we’d been using for over a decade, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, this was our first choice as a replacement security suite.
It’s lightweight when it comes to system resources, fast and no intrusive and comes with a high detection and malware removal rate that compares well with Kaspersky products.
Highly recommended if you’re looking to switch security suites.

Using the VPN blocks out everything else on both my screens which is irritating but everything else seems to work fine.
Easy to install runs quietly, and does not hog space, but the VPN is not worth the effort. Amazon Netflix BT smart TV’s all reject VPN’s so not worth keeping. The rest is okay but not VPN.
And what do you mean by a headline. Please remember that not every person using a computer knows every detail within the computer. Especially when you are no longer working and only use the computer for what YOU understand. Your questions don’t appreciate that all people are ‘au fait’ with computers. And the info you give does mean that they are fully understood.

Tried the others this gives good value, and works well. Buy the advertised bargain offers, the factory auto renew is expensive, don’t use it.
Norton offers free vpn but I found scanning was slow and it missed problems.
There are often Bitdefender offers throughout the year and you can buy and it gets tacked on to your existing subscription, bargain!
Brilliant product. When I bought last year directly it was so easy to install on laptop and our android mobile phones. I now feel safe using banking apps and making purchases through my phone which I was always a little wary of before. So much cheaper than updating directly though Bit Defender. Renewing was as easy as signing in to Bit Defender central and inputting the activation code. Highly recommended.
Bitdefender stopped their free product and didn’t wanna change since it was reliable even as a free product, so decided to get the paid version. If you buy from Bitdefender on their website, even with a discount you’re looking at paying 2 or 3 times as much as it costs on Amazon! 1 year and 5 devices for this price is more than reasonable for one of, if not THE best antivirus available!
Easy to update last year’s product using the new product code provided. Then checked each protected device to see that they had updated. It added 365 days cover to the days remaining from the earlier years cover. Happy Days
I was fed up with the “big” names forcing you to put your cc details in for it to work and charging a fortune at renewal time. This one will also ask for cc details but you don’t have to put them in and it still works.
It’s not light like kaspy but I trust BTS more.
And is Romanian, the Wolf is from the Dacian Flag(from 2000 years ago, and yes the Romanians they are Dacians from Dacia).
So it’s not Russian and not American, so a bit less conspiracy..
Used Bitdefender for 2 years now and it’s proven very good. Buy card each year and I have never been asked to register my credit card details.
This software did the same job as my more expensive anti – virus software just as efficient, as easy to install, and more than 50% cheaper.
Enabled me to update my expiring license very simply with a minimum of fuss.

Always a decent price via Amazon. After installing, I would highly recommend logging into your account online and deactivate auto renewal so you don’t forget, as its approximately x3 the cost of Amazon’s. Highly recommended.
The first year of my Bitdefender subscription was coming to an end. Amazon’s price was much cheaper than Bitdefender’s renewal price so I bought through Amazon. I’ve been very pleased with the features this system offers, hence taking out another year’s subscription. .
Took me about an hour to install. Bit fiddly, but easy to use interface and works very well. Recommended

I have used Bitdefender for some years now. It works well and has some useful additional features.
Bought multi year licences before no problems from other retailers. But I am getting older and questioning where I get things from( ie are they just re selling on licenses and are they safe) this is a genuine product and I am happy with it. How do some licenses give you 4 years and others 1 year?. Bitdefender website does not give me option for 3 or 4 years on site !… but I have bought them in past. This time I played safe ,cheaper than Bitdefender website renewal site but still genuine straight to Bitdefender site with card supplied code.I feel safer and it may have cost more but I don’t trust some sourses and security is everything so I would renew with this supplier again even though its a 1 year only multi device product.

I’ve been using Bitdefender for 5 years now and not once has it ever slowed down the computer. The software works and is easy to use. Getting an auto renewal from Bitdefender is 70. If you decline they offer you 50% off straight away. That’s still 35 when you get the exact same product from Amazon for 20.
Sent in the post as an activation code it arrived next day. Brilliant.
