Cleaner is lightweight and very manoeuvrable which is great, however it has the most stupid charging dock I have ever seen. If you have flat walls and can screw the charging dock to the wall ,I am sure it is fine, but if like me you have skirting boards you cannot screw it to the wall so it is unstable, wobbly and hard to dock the cleaner into. Black+ Decker obviously did not think of this otherwise they would supply an adaptor which can click onto the charger to bridge the gap between the wall and charger so you can still screw the charging dock to the wall if you have skirting boards. Because of this there is no way I can give it 5 stars.

Very impressed with this vacuum cleaner, it’s easy to use, lightweight and has great functions. The light is higher up than most stick vacuums giving a wider area of clear view. I tested the suction on a very difficult carpet to vacuum and it did an excellent job leaving nothing behind. Its excellent value and a great vacuum cleaner, it is slightly cumbersome while using the hand held section but does have a shoulder strap if needed. It was delivered just 2 days after ordering. I would highly recommend this produc

I love this vacuum cleaner. It wasn’t a model I had come across before as you don’t associate Black & Decker with vacuum cleaners! It’s easy to use, and lightweight. There are probably other cleaners on the market that are lighter but it’s still great to use. I feel this vacuum has good suction power and a long charge time. You can choose whether to have the brush roller on or just suction. The middle disconnects from the main part so you can easily carry it around to use as a handheld. It is very easy to empty and clean also. This is the Pet model and has a couple of tools with it too. I am really pleased with my purchase! I have owned Bosch, Vax & Dyson machines in the past and for the price I am very pleased with it so far.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe’ve bought several vacuum cleaners during our marriage and most of them have broken, are heavy, cords twists and tangle, one even gave me electric shocks! I used to hate vacuuming as cords got twisted and such a palaver holding cord up and shoulders aching from pushing heavy machine around. But…THIS ONE IS THE PERFECT VACUUM CLEANER for us!! Price was very reasonable considering it works so well.
It’s lightweight and easy for me to carry upstairs. Easy to clean. Dust barrel is smaller than our old one but easy to empty and I get a few cleans before it needs emptying. Now, I vacuum every day. It’s easy enough to whip out and clean up small areas.
Thank you thank you thank you!!

Really impressed with this Hoover I have dogs so hair is an issue this collects it fantastically..
The suction on full power is strong and the battery lasts for approximately 25 minutes on full power which is fine for myself.
Found this easy to put together quite self explanatory and love the attachments and the fact it comes off to do stairs, sofa’s etc.
I have always had an Henry hoover but gotta admit I like this one better with the cordless feature.
Yes it takes a while to recharge but I just put straight back on charge after use.
I’m really pleased I went for this hoover at a reasonable price I’d say better than my Henry.
Very happy customer and highly recommend no issues at all!!

The suction on this hoover is very good. This hoover has upto a 60min run time, which is far longer than my Dyson. The price was super. There is a kind of whistling noise throughout hoovering, not sure of the cause, may be normal for this hoover. I didnt even know Black n Decker did hoovers, always thought just man tools.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersBrilliant cordless vacuum that is so light and easy to use. It has a motorized brush bar that can be turned off and an auto suction power mode that can be turned off and variable suction such is great. I really like that with a press of a button the upright vacuum turns into a handheld cylinder vacuum. The vacuum cleaner does take quite a long time to charge when the battery is fully depleted (upto 6 hours) but once charged up I can vacuum the whole of my 4 bedroom house on a low power setting or half the house on a high power setting. I have a mixture of carpet lino and laminated wood floors. The vacuum cleaner has a washable filter.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe debated over the Dyson and other brand handhelds for a while and then spotted this at a local big name electrical retailer (it was cheaper on Amazon!) – but we couldn’t justify the price Dyson charge and to be honest they get mixed reviews, this had some good reviews and seemed to tick the boxes we wanted.
After purchase I didn’t realise just how good it is! we only live in a small 2 bed house so the battery life is fine for the amount it’s in use for us. The fact it all comes apart its so easy to take out to the car or use on stairs. Filter can be take out and washed saving money on new ones, the dust collector is easy to empty after each use.
Only downside is the suction, it’s not as powerful as our old vacuum but it definitely does the job! we also have a large labrador and her pet hair is no match for this. Biggest bargain is we got a free steam mop from phillips as part of an online promotion so even better value than the Dysons!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGood price when you compare it to other vacs. Suction seems as good as my old cordless Dyson and the battery lasts long enough for me to do the whole house. There are a few niggles. The “Manual” such as it is is in pictures and is very difficult to follow. I had to resort to Youtube in the end where you will find plenty of videos. Its difficult to fit on the charging stand. The fitting is very small and you can’t see if its gone on. The biggest issue I have is that you have to use the stand to charge it. This means that your limited to where you can site it. Other vacs have a simple charger that plugs into the vac but this doesn’t so bear in mind that the stand has to go somewhere and be fixed there. Overall I’m happy with the Vac other than the points I’ve mentioned.

    Update.
Having used this now for a week or more, a few additional points. When the brush is turning its VERY noisy much noisier than my old Dyson. However, when the brush is off its pretty quiet.
The dust holder is fairly easy to empty apart from the fact that the slider allows hairs to be trapped between it and the body of the container and they can be tricky to get at.
Overall I’m still quite happy with the vac in general.

    Further update.
Used it to try and vac up Vanish carpet powder and it failed to do the job. This is a reasonable vac for everyday quick cleaning but not really up to heavy tasks.

A fab vacuum cleaner. Picks up cat hair, dirt, dust, and bits of thread from my sewing machine with ease. Not the lightest, but handles easily. Good size dust container that’s easy to empty. Converts to a handheld and has a carry strap included to make it easy to use on stairs and furniture. Battery life could be a bit better (between 20 and 60 minutes depending on suction power used), but in the whole it’s a fab little vac and we’ll worth the price.

First thing to note is that this is not going to replace a mains powered hoover. It does ‘suck’ well, but I’ve yet to find anything battery powered that can match a mains powered device. Additionally, the battery wouldn’t last long enough for a large family sized house.

With those caveats made, it is remarkably effective for a battery powered device and will do a good job unless there is ingrained dirt in the carpet. On the other hand, being lightweight and battery powered, it is a lot easier to simply grab the hoover and clean up a mess anywhere, immediately, before dirt has an opportunity to get ingrained.

There are a series of touch sensitive ‘buttons’ on the top of it, controlling the suction power, whether it is automatic mode or not, the on/off for the beater bar and the lamp. There are two displays; one for the remaining battery power and the other for the suction power presently set.

    What’s great about it is:
    – it is cleverly designed so that the suction/dust box section can be easily separated from the body to be used as a powerful hand held hoover. The main handle can be converted to an extension handle in the ‘remote mode’, and there is an ingeniously designed attachment which is three attachments in one. I’ve found that I use this mode more frequently than the main vacuum, cleaning the car and for small DIY cleanups.
    – It is lightweight which makes it easy to grab and clean anywhere in the house and makes hoovering the stairs less of an ordeal.
    – It has an intelligent ‘auto’ suction setting, which varies the suction power to save battery life.
    – the built in light is bright enough to be genuinely useful.
    – In use it is very smooth and manoeuvrable.
    – There is a built in hand operated filter ‘wipe’ which will clear large debris away from the first filter layer on the fly.
    – Accessing, removing and cleaning the filters is very easy.
    – I don’t think you’re going to be able to hoover a 4 bedroom house in one go, but it’ll do a couple of rooms with power to spare.

However, I wasn’t so keen on:
    – The build quality and plastics they used don’t feel like they will last for years.
    – The colour scheme is rather unsubtle and garish.
    – The charging stand really need to be mounted on the wall because freestanding, it is so wobbly that it’s hard to mount the vacuum to charge it.
    – When the vacuum ‘foot’ is in the perpendicular position, as it is after charging, you can’t roll it over the floor because the wheels are locked; you have to click it out of that position in order for it to roll.

All in all, this isn’t designed as a mains hoover replacement, unless you have a fairly small flat and mostly hard floors. However it is ideal for quickly cleaning up messes as they happen, or for awkward jobs where it’s portability is useful.

This is so practical – great for whizzing around rooms or, in portable mode, blitzing a car or the stairs. I find it really intuitive to use and the suction is good. It’s easy to empty and the light on the front is powerful and makes it easy to see what you are doing. It’s a little noisy, but you can regulate the power with a touch. The only thing I’d say is that it takes quite a long time to charge and that it powers down quite quickly on full power (15 minutes or so). If it’s your sole vacuum for a larger house that might be an issue. Build quality is ok – but it could feel more sturdy.

As an aside customer service is excellent – my first one didn’t charge properly and it was replaced with no quibbles.

Overall a great machine – but probably best for smaller properties or as a second vacuum.

This is a good hoover that picks up well though feels fairly heavy and bulky to use.
Sitting it on the base can be a little awkward also but it usually goes on right in a try or two.
The hoover works as well on hard floor and carpet.

It seems churlish to compare this to the FX9-1-ANIM, a vacuum cleaner twice the price, but our usual steer actually highlights the charms of a competent budget example of the allergy free cordless vacuum cleaner. Yes, it’s a little more cumbersome, seemingly less powerful machine that is trickier to assemble and doesn’t have quite the same build quality. Example: our long brush rattles for no good reason. That said, this is actually better than our AEG in terms of having a harness and overall we’re pretty impressed at what you’re getting for the money. It’s not top notch but it’s competitive in its price bracket.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis light weight vacuum cleaner is excellent. I have been using it for just over a week and I am very impressed. It’s suction is very strong and I could see the difference as I was using it. The hose is easy to unclip and is firm enough to stop it coming off at other times. it is easy to use as a hand held and to lower the suction. Easy to empty out the dust bag , it didn’t go every where. Charges quickly and the battery life does last long enough to give 4 rooms a really good go. It even comes with a harness to hold it when doing higher corners. I really think this cordless is one the best I have used. I strongly recommend it.

This is certainly an impressive looking item and a great deal of thought has gone into its design. The modularity concept allows you to assemble a smaller version of the cleaner is ingenious and works quite well. Quality of the moulding and the production values are quite high and chase the obvious rival model which begins with an “capital D”. I also did find it particularly good at working with pet hair-I got far better results with this cleaner than with any other I’ve tried.

The items only major flaw that I could see was an excessive complexity in changing the filters and emptying the refuse: this seemed very involved and I took particular care doing it as I’ve been caught out before – the cleaner was put back together as precisely as I could manage but has never really worked the same since….perhaps I need to persevere – you may have better luck.

Black & Decker 2 in 1 Cordless Vacuum

This is exactly what I needed, a cordless vacuum cleaner to clean around the house with and also use it for the car and in the garage without the need for annoying trailing cables. I am not sure it will do a whole hour on full charge as B&D claims, especially on the highest suction setting, but for me 30-40 mins is long enough for any job. Plus, this does feel light when you start using it, but like with anything else, after about 20 mins, it starts feeling a whole lot heavier.

The dust box size is nothing compared to conventional vacuum cleaners and fills up quickly. I have carpets and rugs and the head is really good at collecting all the excess fluff off the floor and you can see it filling up the dust box in no time.

Not as expensive as the big brand names, but also not the cheapest on the market, but a very good mid range choice. Don’t buy this (or any cordless) vacuum if you are expecting it to replace your Henry or a similar mains vacuum cleaner, these will never be as powerful or durable, but this an excellent option for frequent cleaning. The added bonus of it is it detaches from the body and becomes a handheld unit for cleaning stairs, walls and ceilings, inside the car and in tight spaces.

It mounts and stands nicely for charging and storing, once you get the hang of it and doesn’t look unsightly. Could do with a compartment to store the attachments. The battery takes about 5 hours to fully charge, so if you do run it down, you’ll need to pick up where you left off a good while later. To sum up, it does what I expected a cordless vacuum to do. It doesn’t blow me away with performance, but I doubt any cordless device ever will. It does however meet my expectations of convenience.

    Good points:

    Convenient
    Easy to use
    Reasonably good power
    Good attachments
    Good battery life
    Bad points

    No bad points as such

Rating – 4.5 out of 5 purely because no cordless device is quite perfect yet!

This is actually a really good vacuum cleaner from B&D, which surpassed my expectations. I don’t know why but on seeing it was cordless I thought it would be inferior to a corded cleaner but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Set up was quick and easy, you simply plug it in, charge it up and it’s good to go. Benefits are versatility – no cords getting in the way, and there’s no
Obvious trade off in power levels. The unit adapts to different floor surfaces which makes it ideal if you have a mix of carpet, tile, laminate etc. You can also detach the main unit for cleaning stairs or nooks and crannies, and it contains all the attachments you need.
Build quality is really good and the colour scheme is quite modern and not too garish as I thought

Overall a fantastic bit of kit and ideal for those homes with pets or allergy sufferers thanks to the built in filte

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLithium battery power is now so good that cordless vacuum cleaners are a viable alternative to corded machines. At about 1hr runtime, this Black & Decker vac can easily do the whole house (3 bed semi) in one go and it’s so much quicker and easier to use because you don’t have to keep plugging and unplugging it. The big plus is that you can vacuum around furniture and go wherever you like without worrying about the cord.

This versatility does not compromise suction power and it even coped with our daughter’s bedroom purple carpet and white cat fur combination. The ultimate test for any vacuum cleaner! The thing I like best is the removable centre section of the cleaner that means you can carry it in your hand – or over your shoulder with the supplied strap – and clean a staircase or hard to reach area with ease. Whilst in ‘carrying mode’ a wand attachment can be used to clean curtains, chair seats etc…

When finished, the vacuum cleaner can be kept upright on its charging base and is ready to go whenever needed. I really can’t fault it.

    Brilliant desig

This is a brilliant vacuum cleaner.
Cordless, so easy on the stairs.
It has a big collection bag, which is easy to remove and clean.

The only thing I didn’t like was the weight.
It seemed so heavy to use, compared to other cordless vacuum I have had.
However the cleaning ability was more than compensated for.

  44. Anonymous says:

This is a great hover. So far it’s been reliable suction, automatic sensor for the rug verses the laminate flooring which is a helpful feature!

I don’t think the colourway is for everyone and indeed, if I was buying it outright it’s something I’d consider but the grey and green fits into our eclectic family and works for us.

It’s a bit heavier than I’d have expected but it’s still very managable. It’s substantially lighter than the previous upright vacuum cleaner I had.

The charger just needs to be plugged in and attaches into the unit much like a phone charger does. This is vastly preferable for me as I found a solid charging unit to be a bit of a hindrance in the space it took and the machine sometimes didn’t connect into it. Theres no such issues with this black and decker vacuum cleaner.

I also am a fan of having everything you could need in one place so for me, this is definitely a vacuum cleaner I intend to use for a long time and would have no issue recommending to others.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIn summary, I really like this little cordless vacuum cleaner. I’ve docked a star because it doesn’t pick up all my puppy’s hair as advertised, although to be fair I haven’t found a hoover that does.

    The things I like:
    – the centre of gravity of this vac is carried low, meaning that the weight carried by the wheels, rather than on the wrist like my Dyson cordless.
    – it’s very easy to maneuver, perfect if your house is an obstacle course like mine.
    – the on/off switch is one that you press on and then have to press again to turn off. This is much better for arthritic hands than my cordless Dyson, which I have to hold on all the time. My cleaner won’t use the Dyson but she loves this black and decker.
    – once I got the hang of the power slide (put a finger on the >>>> and slide it right to get more power, left to get less power) I found it much more effective at picking up pet hair. Be aware that it doesn’t pick all of my labradors hair up, but then neither does any other hoover I’ve tried.
    – the nosey parker tool is ok, not great, but ok. I like that there is a bendy hose, but it only works with full power on.
    – I can get right round my entire house on one charge.
    – it’s easy to empty and there’s an extremely satisfying slider to ram the dust (and dog hairs, did I mention those?) into a smaller package so that you can continue to hoover without needing to empty quite so much.
    – the hoover will stand on its own without falling over.

Now for things I don’t like:
    – it seems to take a long time to fully charge, several hours.
    – I have to have it on full power on the carpet
    – some dog hairs are left behind on carpets and rugs
    – when using the hand held bit on its own, it’s to easy to catch the emptying button. I emptied all of what I’d just hoovered all over my car seat by mistake. Luckily it’s fairly easy to hoover again.
    – the charging stand is quite big

    Other comments
    – It came with a holster, presumably for the handheld bit. I haven’t worked out where it fastens but haven’t felt like I’m missing out on anything.
    – the handle will extend. I haven’t needed this but I guess if you’re very tall it might be useful
    – the pictorial instructions weren’t particularly intuitive, but we managed to work most things out quickly.

    BLACK+DECKER 2 in 1 Cordless MULTIPOWER Pro Vacuum Cleaner;

Works as intended it vacuums floors with ease, the suction is reliable and adjustable no issues on rugs / wood flooring may struggle on the thicket carpets but overall it’s perfect little bit of kit with only a few minor drawbacks.

    Drawbacks;
    – battery life isn’t 60mins on MAX you get around 40-43mins with maximum setting and brush head on.
    – The dock station needs a rethink it’s cumbersome and annoying letting an otherwise good product down.
    – takes longer to charge than it operation time. they should have taken the quick charge route.

The vacuum cleaner arrives in a nice robust box and enclosed is some instruction/pictures. I found the overall picture on the outside of the box as to what the completed vacuum cleaner should look like more useful, any way together with instructions its quite apparent how this fits together. I did have to check the video on the brush that can be used on cushions and similar how to use that, from the instructions purely I struggled with that initially. Plugged in and required around 6 hours to gain a full charge when placed on the stand. I fitted the stand against a wall upstairs in our house. I note that when using the vacuum cleaner it senses quite smartly the difference between carpet and wood flooring. There is a variable speed setting which is easy to manage and emptying the vacuum cleaner after usage present no issues. My wife commented that this was particular good on carpets and the motion of using this was good. However she thought the suction power is not fabulous but OK. We did deliberate about the charging time but if using on full power it will be fully discharged in 15 minutes and will take 5-6 hours to fully re-charge. I do not consider that unreasonable but might prove to be a hindrance to some. We like the overall quality and overall ease in using the vacuum cleaner despite some reservations this is a descent vacuum if considering.

It does look a little ‘plastic’, but it is light, and being cordless means it is ideal for the stairs. Once charged, I found there was enough to vacuum the entire house (including the teenagers rooms!). It goes from carpet to hard floor with ease, and has powerful suction. There is a light on the front, which helps in dark corners (teenagers again) – although its at the bottom of the main part, so can’t be used to see under beds or cupboards. The suction front part is small, so easily slides under the front of cupboards / sofa etc… – which eliminates that annoying visible line of dust I used to get under the sofa with the old vacuum.

The manoeuvrability is remarkable – the head will do a 90 degree turn. This means it can be pushed into places which older vacuums just couldn’t get to without being lifted – and again it fits into more narrow spaces. It just makes the whole process so much quicker and easier. But – the best part for me, is emptying the dust container. As with other lighter vacuums, there is a little less space, so I found it was best to empty at the end of vacuuming the house. But it is far easier than any other vacuum I’ve used. Simply push down the purple part to remove, take out, flip open the lid and the dust comes out. There is none of that coat hanger stuff as you try to get the dust out of narrow ‘corridors’ in the dust container. It is very easy.

Highly recommended. This is a great vacuum cleaner.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m really impressed with this vacuum cleaner. It was easy to put together and easy to use. There have been some mention of the battery life but I have not found this to be a problem, running at full power it will last around 15 minutes and on the lowest around 60 minutes but to be honest I have rarely needed it on full power and usually use the automatic feature which allows it to adjust the suction depending on what type of carpet/floor it is being used on and this gives me enough battery life to vacuum a 4 bedroom house and then its put on charge and ready for the next use.

The control panel is easy to use and its touch sensitive it has the option to turn automatic mode on and off and to turn the rotating brushes on or off, and the suction power adjustment.

It cleans really well, I have 2 black cats and it does a great job of removing the hair from the carpets and rugs I would say just as well as my mains powered upright. The waste chamber can be compacted so it dosent need emptying as often but its very easy to empty also.

The charging stand can be a bit wobbly but the option is there to attach it to a wall.

It comes with some fragrange discs, this need to be stuck to the bottom of the white filter housing, this is not shown in the instruction i had to look it up.

This is a fantastic light weight hoover for the price.
The hoover was very easy to put together and use. Its very easy to empty and comes with freshener discs.

I’ve owned a few vacuums that are advertised for pet owner and usually the only difference is that they include a separate high powered brush that’s great for small areas but useless for the rest of your home. This vacuum however is a true pet hoover it has a rubberised brush bar on the main part of the hoover that would be great for pet hair.

The charging and run time is comparable to 2 other higher end cordless vacuums I have owned however I did notice a loss of suction as the battery got low.

The hoover is versatile and has a long reach hose and onboard tools which sets it apart from other cordless vacuums. The centre also detaches to allow further reach this makes vaccuming the stairs easy and safe.

One thing that I do not like is the charging unit. It is unstable and makes the hoover lean forward. It has on a couple of occasions fallen over. The wire and the way the hover charges means you unfortunately have no option but to use the stand.

I received this product as part of the Vine panel but I would not have been disappointed if I had purchased it. It’s one I’d recommend to other families, with or without pets.

Im going to give 4/5 stars as the charging stand unfortunately lets it down.

    Versatile lightweight vacuum

Does the job, just needed it to do my bedroom because it enables me to get to corners that otherwise I could not get to.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersOverall this deserves 4 stars but do read the details below. I don’t want to contradict the very comprehensive one star review previous to this one, but my experience was different. It took about a minute to set it up and no time to figure out how to use it. Emptying the dust, and removing the main unit so you can use it in the alternative configuration (as per the 4th listing picture), is quick, simple and intuitive. I never looked at the instructions.

In my view cordless vacuum cleaners far surpass the old mains driven ones. They are simply quicker and easier to use. Of course the downside is the battery. You cannot get anything comparable to mains power and portability and a decent running time – the technology doesn’t exist. But you can get a good compromise which still leaves a better product overall.

I don’t like the docking station. It feels ricketty. But I don’t agree that putting it on and taking it off is at all dangerous or difficult. If you go to the trouble of mounting it on a skirting board it won’t even be ricketty though I agree that mounting it is a nuisance for the sort of lazy people like me who like cordless appliances.

I half agree with the comments about charging. It does take half a day to charge. But since you tend to put it away for at least a day after use, it hardly matters. The question is how far does the battery get you? It got me about three quarters of the way through my house. But my house is unusually large, with 5 bedrooms and 6 reception rooms, so I reckon there is enough charge to do most houses.

As for the performance, I have another cordless vacuum cleaner by Hoover. It is amazingly light and pleasant to use, and has a clever mechanism where you plonk it upright and the base clicks firm so that it stands up. It is such a pleasure to use, for me this outweighs the good design features of the Black & Decker. The Hoover is also much quieter. The Black & Decker is, however, more of a heavy duty machine. Although the suction doesn’t feel particularly strong, it has a powerful spinning brush which is presumably why they advertise it as specially good for pet hair.

I use it quite a bit in the portable mode which is very convenient for quick jobs and for the car. It is much much better than the car vacs I have seen before. I have tried 3 different types, two of which run off the car battery. You have to turn on the engine to get them to work properly and even then they are feeble and one of them blew a fuse in my car, which caused me all sorts of trouble (it meant my dashcam stopped working and of course I didn’t notice until I had an accident and went to look for the footage). So The Black & Decker is really a vast improvement for the car.

One final question mark. I once had a Black & Decker cordless mini-vac that cost about 30. It was great for 10-second jobs like picking up crumbs. After using it a few times the battery completely packed up and I had to throw the whole thing away (as the battery couldn’t be replaced). This was in 2009 so I would hope they are using better technology now. If not, this could end up in the bin too. Black & Decker, you are invited to comment.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersIts lightweight, easy to push and assemble. I’d like more powerful suction and prefer it to be easier to mount on the charger. However it is sturdy, easy to unblock and comes with fairly decent attachments.

Good suction and very easy to use. The battery lasts long enough for me to vacuum all of my flat, with about 30% of the charge left. I only use the vacuum on the max power setting.

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersVery surprised, it isn’t by far the most expensive vacuum cleaner. So I did expect that it will do the job but just. I’m not going to try to compere it to 4 times more expensive Dyson, but does it 4 times worst job then Dyson? Not at all. Its really versatile (clever people in black & decker) decent suction, huge container for rubish, super easy to clean, battery live is great (manage to hover 4 bed house, carpets everywhere, on full power and have some battery left when finished). Can’t forget led light. It sound silly but it is amazing in the evenings you can spot every bit of dirt. Like you would in daylight. 5 stars from me.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have had this a few months and am very happy with my purchase. There appears to be a ‘follow Dyson’ fashion of designing cordless vacuum cleaners which place the workings in the hand. I have never owned one of these types as I have never thought this a good idea.

    Good points:
Versatility: It can be used as a regular upright and then the centre section can be lifted out for stairs, car etc.
Battery and suction: The battery has never run out on me, I maybe only switch on the mains charger every few weeks to charge. The suction is very good: I have never found it lacking, it’s better than my old mains unit, but I haven’t compared it to other cordless vacuum cleaners. There are many other vacuum cleaners of a similar design which start off as a handheld unit which is then plugged into a base/upright unit. This is designed as an upright first and foremost which does mean that the removable section is heavier, but it also has proper suction and a better battery.

    Bad points:
Charge cable: When assembling the base station the charge cable wires from the wall straight into the unit. I would have preferred the mains connection to plug into the unit. Also: You need to be careful when assembling this because I think it would be quite easy to slice through this when assembling both parts of the base unit. But this is not enough to mark it down.
Attachment: The attachment is usable, but not very good: It doesn’t attach very well and is not very well designed. I also have an older, smaller B&D Dustbuster Flexi cordless vacuum and it’s good it’s accessories are interchangeable (because they are much better)

    Overall:
None of the bad points are reasons not to buy, on the whole I am very happy with my purchase. The convenience of cordless means that I vacuum the house much more often and it’s much less of a chore.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersStarting with a negative the cleaner is a little heavy, however it does a very good job and you would not need another cleaner. For carpet and floors it adjusts the power of suction and is a very good powerful cleaner the centre part removes so can be fully used like a cylinder cleaner, again the suction is adequate all tools are stored on the cleaner. It could be classed as a complete home cleaner.
