If you tune your settings and your environment correctly, then this microphone is amazing. Don’t expect to get it and then the microphone will instantly be crisp quality. You have to make sure you have a decent setup for no air noise. I would definitely recommend getting a pop filter for this but otherwise, this mic has good quality. I’ve done some voice work with this. It works great.
Especially great for the casual person recording themselves for a vlog or a singing video.

The best desktop mic for the price there is IMO. I don’t think you’re gonna get better sound quality at this price.

Amazing Microphone with clear sound and does a good job cancelling out background noises, I hook this up to my pc and cortana and my friends hear me clearly without any muffle. I also plug this into my PS4 it also works to its perfection. Great microphone 5 Stars

I really love this mics sound quality, crisp, clear and couldn’t be happier. the only thing I will say is that the stand that comes with it has a plastic shaft and threads. I found this odd considering the rest is made of metal and plastic threads tend to break so I was not too happy about this. Having said that if you’re careful im sure it would be alright for a while. I would absolutely recommend this one as its a great price and a great mic.
En el manual pone que es muy sensible y se ven fotos de gente hablando a una distancia aceptable, pero escrib al soporte de la marca y me dijeron que NO SE RECOMIENDA HABLAR A MS DE 30 CM DEL MICRO. Es un dato a tener en cuenta. Y aun as yo tengo que subir el volumen por software para que se escuche bien.
Otra cosa es que si lo dejas encima de la mesa y tecleas se oyen muchsimo las teclas, pero eso no es culpa del micro, supongo que pasar con todos.

Ich habe das Mikrofon im Angebot fr 60 gekauft und bin absolut davon berzeugt. Da es per USB angeschlossen wird, spart man sich aufwendige Installationen von Verstrkern usw. Stimmen klingen sehr klar und fr den Preis fast lebensecht. Musikinstrumente klingen, als wrde man sie von einem Smartphone abspielen, was aber noch akzeptabel ist. Da es ber einen omnipotal Modus verfgt, kann man es in die Mitte vom Raum stellen und von allen Seiten verwenden, allerdings klingt es wesentlich besser, wenn man direkt hineinspricht.
Den regulren Preis von 80 finde ich zu hoch angesetzt, da man fr weniger Geld bereits gleichwertige Konkurrenzmodelle erwerben kann.
The aluminum finish was not completely uniform, with some areas rlthat were a little stained from the moment I received it. A little too top heave for the stand provided but sound quality is very good. Definitely pleased. Good product for the price, especially when on sale.
Is working well so far. I haven’t played with any of the modes other than the dampened mode which does seem to work well. Cant comment on the stand as I’ve been using a suspension boom.
It works great, but I guess I expected more. Still needs calibration and adjustment in post processing.

Using Windows 10 I had an issue getting the mic to record, but one google search later and the mic works great. Great sound quality. Only issue is you have to be really close to the mic (like less than 6 inches) for it to record good sound. Since you need to be so close to record, a pop filter is necessary.

I have the 3 mode version and it’s great… but I only use one mode.
I use my Snowball for voice recordings, it’s quite sensitive so I have to be careful with placement and background noise, but I love it.
Very high quality audio, with the simplicity of USB plug and play.
Product is reasonably heavy, feels sturdy and is pleasing to look at too. The base is adjustable to a small extent (probably 2 or 3 inches height difference), while the microphone itself has an adjustable ball socket underneath so it can be positioned and angled easily.
This can be mounted to a microphone boom stand as well.
Only downside is it has no built in mute function, so you’ll need to use software to mute it (or just unplug it)
Good quality sound, I have researched a lot before buying. Definitely good value for beginners (vs fairly expensive Yeti).
I’d be better with the basic version as I use only the standard setting “1” (other ones are desirable only if you play with your band).
On the other hand, this version should have a better flexibility on its arms but it’s a shame the mic is set on a single height (it would have been great to have 1-3 different positions, I use some books beneath as my table is a little low).

The audio is much cleaner than my cellphones Microphone that I was using to record Youtube audio with. It has saved me quite a bit of editing time thanks to the superb audio quality.
The one fault I can see is that the USB cord is a bit shorter than I would like. It is also fairly easy to accidentally loosen the stand from the microphone when moving it around and trying to position it, I imagine a boom arm would solve that easily though.

This is a pretty good microphone overall. But like you can see it uses usb (which is not the best for quality). If you have a pretty loud computer like i do than the microphone will hear it. but i guess i should have known before buying.

Let me preface this by stating that I am not an audiophile nor am I using this for professional purposes. That being said the quality of recording on this mic seems excellent when compared to other, cheaper, options I have gone with in the past. I play online games and use this in combination with a pair of earphones as the main use. In addition I have used this to capture ambient sounds at various points as well as Skype etc. For all purposes it’s performed very well. It is well packaged and the build quality is excellent with an aesthetic I enjoy. Would most definitely recommend. I picked this up on a sale – it’s is likely overspecced for my use – so bare in mind if buying for a similar use at full price.

Very easy to use on my MacBook. Produces great sound & I love the multiple settings.
I opted for a good quality microphone for a low price and this was the one for me. I needed something that would record my voice in good crisp quality for podcasts and then as well something that was able to record a drum kit. This was able to do both. The blue snowball has three settings that come in useful for different situations. Really pleased and its lasted me a long time with no troubles.
Top Notch quality, my partners son is very picky about the type of microphone he likes to use for his gaming, sometimes some of his friends could previously hear him muffled on his headset and some headsets picked up the noise of fans from his computer however this little beauty has the perfect quality of sound the only downside is a little light which he covers with bluetack.

Use daily for 2 years. brilliant. I could even hear the next door neighbours having conversations when I used this microphone. Creepy but true! I have used this to record voice overs, intimate band practices and even the occasional thunder storm. It works right out of the box and has yet to stop working. would recommend.

Compatibilita’ massima sia con S.O. Windows che iOS (Mac).
Il dispositivo viene riconosciuto immediatamente e non ha bisogno di tarature.
Lo uso con programmi vari (Camtasia, Audacity…) e non e’ necessario applicare filtri software o altro.
Questo modello differisce dal modello ICE per il deviatore a tre posizioni posteriore (presente in questo modello) che permette di captare i suoni dalla parte frontale senza attenuazione (pos.1), dalla parte frontale con attenuazione di -10db (pos.2) e (teoricamente) a 360 gradi (pos.3).
In realta’ la posizione 3 copre piu’ la parte anteriore per cui chi sta davanti viene captato piu’ di chi sta dietro.
La posizione 2 attenua i segnali forti (i suoni a pochi cm dal microfono, lasciando inalterati i suoni piu’ deboli (ideale quando piu’ persone parlano dal davanti a distanze diverse, o quando si canta accompagnandosi con uno strumento).
Un consiglio per un’ottima resa? Comprate (o realizzatevi con una pesante calza femminile) un filtro anti-pop e registrate la vostra voce a non piu’ di 10 cm di distanza. Sentirete che resa da brividi.

The Blue Snowball is one of the most popular microphones for beginners, and it definitely deserves that. The audio quality you get from this microphone is really good, better than other microphones in the same price range and definitely better than the microphones attatched to most headsets.
Even the build quality is very nice, the metal legs / stand feels solid. The microphone itself is made mostly of plastic, however it seems to be durable and made out of high quality plastic.
There are however things I feel could be improved. First, there’s no mute button, this is something I really miss because my old “gaming” headset had a microphone mute button. And that’s a feature that’s very convenient to have.
Another thing worth mentioning is that this microphone takes up quite a bit of space, the legs get very wide when you fold them out, and the microphone itself isn’t exactly a small thing… That’s something to keep in mind if your desk is as small as mine is.
Other than that this is a great microphone for the price!
This mic really is great quality, it connects via USB and eliminates the static that is sometimes picked up in mics that connect via the microphone jack. Some people recommend buying a pop filter to put on it but for me, it’s perfectly fine without it. The recording quality is crisp and does what it’s supposed to do.
If anyone wants a good mic to record high quality commentaries with, I’d highly recommend looking at this. 5 stars from me!
I already knew what to expect from it having researched it on YouTube a fair bit. I use it for streaming and YouTube videos and the voice quality is very clear however it picks up my computer fan noise a little too loudly.

The mic sounds great, if you’re worried about having to have the mic literally in front of your face, you don’t have to. If you put the mic on the 3rd setting, the mic will amplify your voice, enough for a bunch of people to hear you on Skype or discord. I can be at the other side of the room and people can still hear me, if you don’t want that then you can change to the 1st mode which makes your voice a bit quieter. This mic is fantastic, all my friends are saying how clear i sound in calls which is a first considering I’ve bought some good gaming headsets before and never had that said to me. I can see this mic lasting a lot longer than a gaming headset, I’m sick of going through gaming headsets because the mic always dies on me and this mic feels really sturdy and well built. If you’re looking for a microphone to use with a headset, then this is the microphone for you. For only 55 this mic is a steal.

It’s an awesome microphone, no better way to put it. The only thing I recommend to do is also order a pop filter to go along with this, it’s pretty sensitive on certain settings and I wish I got one.
Couldn’t have asked for more with this mic, far too often have i tried these gimmick mics with silly little shock mounts for around 30 but i always end up complaining about how bad they sound, i think that personally if you care about the sound on whatever project you’re working on then a microphone like this is mandatory. The quality of the microphone is just brilliant, it looks excellent, however for the included stand although this might be useful when you first get the microphone i personally have switched to an arm stand to have the microphone on.
Moved from a webcam mic to this Blue Snowball, and the change in voice quality is tremendous. I am really satisfied with this purchase.
I use it mainly for Skype and Discord voice chat, togheter with a Blue Ringer (shockmount). There are several other people in my chat which have also purchased this mic after hearing mine. They do not however use the shockmount, instead only the original stand, and it works fine.
This is a great microphone for everyday use. From gaming to VOIP, it produces crisp clean sounding audio with no/very litttle background noise. For the price of this condenser microphone, and to receive such a high quality product is astonishing. The microphone feels very heavy for it’s size but this is a good indicator that there is high quality materials used to manufacture it. The tripod is metal with rubber feet to prevent it from sliding around. The only negative thing I can state about this microphone is it can be a little quiet if your not close to it (within 15cm).

funcionaba perfectamente y va muy muy bien, tenia un microfono tonor que me costo 20 euros y lo cambie por este microfono snowball y es una maravilla lo recomiendo para usarlo en youtube.
Invece la qualit perfetta per fare del podcasting, delle riprese musicali amatoriali (ho provato ad utilizzarlo per registrare alcuni spezzoni di prove della mia band, direttamente come microfono ambientale e se ben posizionato e regolato ha un’ottima definizione delle singole frequenze), ma ovviamente ci che serve avere coscienza dei fondamentali sull’uso di un microfono e di un software di registrazione audio.
Ho letto recensioni precedenti in cui si parlava di livello troppo basso o esageratamente alto, ma, ora che ho avuto la possibilit di usare il microfono, posso confermare che si tratta solo di saperlo usare nel modo corretto.
Ha un utile trigger sulla parte posteriore, per selezionare una delle 3 configurazioni delle 2 capsule microfoniche interne: 1 capsula cardioide, 1 capsula cardioide con attenuazione di 10db, 2 capsule omnidirezionale.
Non ci si pu ovviamente aspettare il risultato che si pu ottenere con un microfono a condensatore tradizionale connesso ad un preamplificatore e/o ad una scheda audio di buona qualit, non questa la ragione per cui acquistare questo prodotto. Per se si vogliono fare podcast o qualsiasi tipo di video/audio cast, voice over su video, riprese ambientali semplici, questo microfono si rivelato un’ottima scelta.
Nel mio caso, anche non utilizzandolo frontalmente, ho dovuto aggiungere un antipop, ma ovviamente questo varia da voce a voce.
Se rientrate nelle categorie che ho citato sopra e non volete investire molti soldi ma ottenere comunque un risultato pi che degno, mi sento di consigliarlo.

I use this microphone because the one on my headset is far too quiet. I love this microphone though, it’s sound quality is extremely good. The only thing I dislike is the stand is far too small, I bought a mic arm to clamp onto my desk.
I’ve had my eye on this mic for ages and I can say I’m not disappointed at all. The quality of this mic is fantastic and well worth the price. As someone that makes Youtube videos and regularly makes calls on Skype, this mic has proven to be outstanding and I’d highly recommend it.

For me this is probably the best microphone going for less than 50. It is easy to setup and comes with everything you need, and is just a plug and play sort of mic. The quality is fantastic and people have commented that my gaming streams sound a lot better. If you record in a room with little echo and sit with your mouth close up to the mic, with a pop shield on it, you won’t hear the difference between this mic and a 300 Rode mic or similar.

It’s actually pretty good. Funny story- i had it plugged into audacity and realized one day that the audio quality was quite bad- thought of returning it and later realized that on audacity I had selected my laptop microphone instead of ‘blue snowball microphone’. Also plug it in first before opening the audio editing software you use and make sure the right mic is selected for recording not your default laptop mic. It’s quite clear and low noise. Personally, I like the 3 switch version of the snowball (usually use only mode 1,2) over the new single mode version I’ve heard of- see if you can get your hands on the 3 mode version if you’re into music recordings (guitar/vocals) or podcasting.

The red light on the front can be a bit garish and so I’d recommend a pop filter.
I’d also recommend a pop filter because you need to be relatively close to the mic for good sound, which means popping is easier to do.
I went and bought a longer printer cable because of the way my desk and pc are positioned. The cable I received was 1.8m white/silver.
I have owned this microphone previously and it was an absolute dream, the only reason I’m buying it again is because I managed to break the pretty sturdy cord because of my own ignorance. It has amazing quality for the price it is, and with the right set up it basically is a studio mic at home. Can’t recommend it enough to anybody who needs a microphone for any reason, whether it be YouTube, uploading music, pod-casting, etc.

When I got it I didn’t think the audio quality would be as good as that! Also the build quality is superb I don’t expect it to break anytime soon!
Since the Blue Snowball is USB, it is easy to use for anyone on any machine.
I can’t really complain about anything with this microphone. Given that I use it for Skype and in game communication, it does everything I need it to just fine.
One thing I would warn is that if you use a mechanical keyboard this thing will pick it up very easily so you may want to position it close to your mouth and in front of your keyboard.

People love to hate this mic because it is USB and it is viewed as a “weak race” of microphones. I do agree to that argument to an extent, I do not see this microphone as bad. It does what a good microphone should do which is to make your voice clear and precise to anyone listening.
After my friend told me about his own, I told him that I had to check it out. He showed me it’s small and interesting design with all it’s purposes and uses. It records my voice just fine, it helps out a lot when my audio recording is involved, and my friends even noticed how clear I sound whenever I voice call them while gaming.
People who say this mic sucks just because it is a USB mic obviously expect way too much out of a product like this. Am I saying to use this for a band microphone or for some other professional purpose for your voice? Maybe, but there are always going to be better mics out there.
My point is that this mic does what a good mic should do and shouldn’t be compared to non USB mics because that is silly and a waste of time. That’s like comparing a bike to a motorcycle. They both do what they are intended for.
Sehr gutes Mikrofon mit einer ordentlichen Soundqualitt. Ich benutze das Mikrofon schon seit ber 1 1/2 Jahren und es funktioniert noch wie am ersten Tag, zeigt keinerlei Abnutzungsspuren. Es ist kompakt und nimmt nicht allzu viel Platz ein, was mir sehr daran gefllt. Zudem sieht es sehr stylisch aus und ist hhenverstellbar. Verbunden mit einem Popfilter ist die Soundquali fr den Preis des Mikrofons sehr gut. Tonaufnahmen sind klar verstndlich, S-Laute hren sich an wie im echten Leben und der Bass ist ausgeglichen. Die drei Einstellungen des Mikrofons sind sehr praktisch, v.a. wenn man Gerusche im Raum aufnehmen mchte. Dafr hat es einen Schalter an der Rckseite, welcher sich einfach und schnell bedienen lsst. Ich kann dieses Mikrofon besonders Anfngern empfehlen, welche nicht sofort Mikrofone im hheren dreistelligen Bereich anschaffen mchten. Fr Gesangsaufnahmen gibt es sicher Bessere, dieses hier eignet sich aber besonders fr YouTuber, Podcaster oder Menschen, die oft und gerne skypen.
This is one of my prize possessions. I am loving using my Blue Mic. I have recorded a few spiritual songs using this mic as well as a few songs i written for my lovely wife. Quality is top notch and comparable to the more higher end expensive USB mic costing up in the $200-$300 range. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for studio quality recording or just pod casting. Excellent product that I have been using for a while now and I haven’t ran into any problems.
Really happy with my decision on this one. I use the mic for podcasting and it’s made a noticeable difference from a couple of slightly-cheaper mics that I worked with. Well constructed, too. For my simple purposes, does everything I could ask. Well made and strong materials.
Early days but seems good – only four stars as we ordered the brushed aluminium one and although the box says it is that – but the one in the box delivered is shiny chrome – can’t be bothered to send it back but disappointed.
Truly plug and play USB mic, with great sound quality. Recommended for the person just getting started with voice overs, youtube, podcasting, etc.

It’s a good microphone, with two pickup patterns – one will capture every single noise in the house, and the other will capture whatever is under 1 foot in front of it. It has an “off” switch, but it doesn’t turn it off… I don’t know what it does. It’s big, it looks cool, the quality is good, but the acoustics of the room are way more important, even for simple VoIP chatting. A friend of mine has the same microphone, but he sounds like crap.

ottimo microfono…se parliamo comunque di entrylevel. la cancellazione del rumore funziona bene , ma l’audio presenta sempre dei rumori di sotto fondo che danno impressione di una mal equalizzata configurazione. a distanze maggiori di 50 cm circa la capacit del microfono di catturare una buona qualit di voce diminuisce anche impostando la 3 configurazione. ma per 60 (prezzo a cui ho acquistato) ne vale la pena, su questa fascia prezzo forse uno dei migliori e facili da usare
The microphone is simply great, very clear voice and has several modes and I found the second one removed all the background noise that the first one was picking up and this was really nice.
However, the cable I received with the microphone wasn’t working and only after changing it that the mic worked, so I wasn’t happy about that but otherwise it’s working just great.

The only con I can think of is that it is a little heavy, so mounting it on a mic stand is going to be difficult.
For the price, you’d be hard pressed to find a better condenser mic.

It was very simple to assemble and setup, without needing to refer to the manual.
Having the three settinge on the back (cardioid, -10dB, and omnidirectional) makes it quite versatile. Cardioid is the ideal option for recording a single sound source e.g. for a voice-over, or a single instrument, or singer. The -10dB option is useful when recording a very loud sound source — it reduces the input to the mic by 10dB, and the omnidirectional option is useful for recording sound coming from multiple sources at the same time e.g. groups of musicians, meetings, conferences etc.
On the downside I have two minor quibbles. . .
As some people have reported, the mic seems to record at a slightly low volume, This was also my experience, but it can easily be rectified at the post production stage. If you are using software like Virtual Audio Cable, and VoiceMeeter to monitor, or stream the output, then of course it is easier to adjust to your liking.
The mic is very, very sensitive, it picks up everything. It pics up the sound of my computer, even when the fans are not running. There is of course, a very simple solution to this, and, that is to buy, or make a DIY, portable audio booth. You would probably need to do this for any condenser mic anyway, if you need to avoid extraneous sounds creeping into your recordings, and it also cuts out reverb in rooms with bare walls, floors, and ceilings.
So, all in all, at the price, this mic deserves at least four stars

Honestly one of the best microphones I’ve paid for, the audio quality is so clear it’s unreal. Though, if you’re using it over internet such as Skype or Teamspeak don’t expect the best as the audio quality is only ever going to be so good due to how good your internet it, but for things such as recording and even streaming the audio quality is insanely good. I highly recommend this product.

Use this for skype calls and communicating with people over mumble. Setting one is my favourite, make sure your mouth is close to the mic for optimal quality. Sounds great, very sturdy product. Only gripe is that the brushed aluminum is hard to keep looking clea
