FANTASTIC! For the price you get a very easy to use and super-cool looking omnidirectional mic that I plugged in to my Macbook and had working instantly. It has 3 settings: 1) for podcasting 2) for music gigs and 3) for large conferences etc. There is very little background hiss (easily removed completely in Garageband or Audacity etc) and for less than 70 you really can’t go wrong. I’m so glad I didn’t opt for something pricier as this, despite reservations before it arrived, does everything I want and more.
One criticism: it was delivered at almost 10pm. Bit weird.
Wirklich gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis
Das Blue Snowball lsst nur wenig Spielraum fr negative Anmerkungen, wenn man den Preis betrachtet. Ich habe das Mikro selbst schon weiter empfohlen und bisher keine Probleme gehabt. Es ist sehr robust, stabil, hat eine gute Qualitt und 3 unterschiedliche Einstellungen, welche alle ihre Existenzberechtigung haben.
Die Einstellungen sind darauf angepasst, wie viel sie ausfiltern mssen, weshalb angepasst an die Situation, jede Einstellung nutzbar sein kann. Ich persnlich halte meins immer auf der 2., da ich es zum als Gamingmikrofon benutze, allerdings habe ich mit anderen Einstellungen auch schon Audioaufnahmen fr Videoprojekte problemlos machen knnen. Wer keinerlei weitere Isolierungseinheit hat, die den Schall klarer und reiner halten und Nebengerusche ausblocken kann hier keine Wunder erwarten und fr profesionelle Aufnahmen wird man sicherlich etwas hher suchen mssen, doch fr den normalen Gebrauch ist die Aufnahmequalitt mehr als ausreichend und beraus empfehlenswert.
Das einzige Problem des Produkts ist meiner Meinung nach, dass das Kabel nur recht locker in dem Mikrofon selbst sitzt und deshalb, sofern es nicht sehr locker sitzt, eventuell rausfallen kann. Das ist der einzige negative Punkt, der mir bisher aufgefallen ist.
Alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden und bis auf den kleinen Makel kann ich nicht ber die Qualitt des Produktes klagen. Wer ein gutes Einsteigermikro fr Videos oder einfache Tonaufnahmen sucht, wird wohl kaum ein besseres in dieser Preisklasse finden. Wer etwas professionellere Ansprche hat und beispielsweise ein Mikrofon fr professionelle Gesangsaufnahmen sucht, der sollte lieber etwas mehr Geld fr ein hherwertiges Produkt ausgeben, da es dann doch seine Grenzen hat.
Mein Tipp: Sucht dieses (und andere) Mikrofone auf Youtube und hrt euch Testaufnahmen an und entscheidet selbst, ob dies ein Mikro ist, fr das ihr euch entscheidet. Ich habe mich vor ca einem Jahr hierfr entschieden und bin nach wie vor sehr zufrieden mit meinem Einkauf.

Mic for narratio
It is good mic for narration. Sound level a bit too low and the amplification shows a bit of background white-noise. Never the less I would still recommend it for semi professional use.

Superb for the price.
Quality microphone, I tested with a friend on a skype call and it was a massive improvement. I spoke quitley from the end of room (opposite to the mic, and my room is a good size) and he could hear what I was saying. The only thing that let it down was skype’s VoIP connection, recommend using something like teamspeak as that is quality.
This is a pretty good microphone overall. But like you can see it uses usb (which is not the best for quality). If you have a pretty loud computer like i do than the microphone will hear it. but i guess i should have known before buying.

Great Quality all round
Let me preface this by stating that I am not an audiophile nor am I using this for professional purposes. That being said the quality of recording on this mic seems excellent when compared to other, cheaper, options I have gone with in the past. I play online games and use this in combination with a pair of earphones as the main use. In addition I have used this to capture ambient sounds at various points as well as Skype etc. For all purposes it’s performed very well. It is well packaged and the build quality is excellent with an aesthetic I enjoy. Would most definitely recommend. I picked this up on a sale – it’s is likely overspecced for my use – so bare in mind if buying for a similar use at full price.

Premium quality for a good price
I opted for a good quality microphone for a low price and this was the one for me. I needed something that would record my voice in good crisp quality for podcasts and then as well something that was able to record a drum kit. This was able to do both. The blue snowball has three settings that come in useful for different situations. Really pleased and its lasted me a long time with no troubles.
For YouTube beginners
Pros:

Conclusion:
Recommended for YouTube, if you are a beginner. However, do plan to upgrade to the better Blue Yeti (more expensive) once your channel grows.
Note:
Unstable sound recording might well be caused by the USB socket in the system. It is likely to be the case as other peripherals connected to the USB are unstable as well.

Top Notch quality, my partners son is very picky about the type of microphone he likes to use for his gaming, sometimes some of his friends could previously hear him muffled on his headset and some headsets picked up the noise of fans from his computer however this little beauty has the perfect quality of sound the only downside is a little light which he covers with bluetack.

Really good microphone, it looks really good, has a great design and is actually quite big in person, the quality is really clear and there is no static sound, it also picks up abit of background noise, for best performance you need software to edit the sound, the mic after edited properly sounds like a top of the line pro mic, so take a look at a couple of videos on youtube and make it sound even better.

Use daily for 2 years. brilliant. I could even hear the next door neighbours having conversations when I used this microphone. Creepy but true! I have used this to record voice overs, intimate band practices and even the occasional thunder storm. It works right out of the box and has yet to stop working. would recommend.

The Blue Snowball is one of the most popular microphones for beginners, and it definitely deserves that. The audio quality you get from this microphone is really good, better than other microphones in the same price range and definitely better than the microphones attatched to most headsets.
Even the build quality is very nice, the metal legs / stand feels solid. The microphone itself is made mostly of plastic, however it seems to be durable and made out of high quality plastic.
There are however things I feel could be improved. First, there’s no mute button, this is something I really miss because my old “gaming” headset had a microphone mute button. And that’s a feature that’s very convenient to have.
Another thing worth mentioning is that this microphone takes up quite a bit of space, the legs get very wide when you fold them out, and the microphone itself isn’t exactly a small thing… That’s something to keep in mind if your desk is as small as mine is.
Other than that this is a great microphone for the price!

I already knew what to expect from it having researched it on YouTube a fair bit. I use it for streaming and YouTube videos and the voice quality is very clear however it picks up my computer fan noise a little too loudly.

The mic sounds great, if you’re worried about having to have the mic literally in front of your face, you don’t have to. If you put the mic on the 3rd setting, the mic will amplify your voice, enough for a bunch of people to hear you on Skype or discord. I can be at the other side of the room and people can still hear me, if you don’t want that then you can change to the 1st mode which makes your voice a bit quieter. This mic is fantastic, all my friends are saying how clear i sound in calls which is a first considering I’ve bought some good gaming headsets before and never had that said to me. I can see this mic lasting a lot longer than a gaming headset, I’m sick of going through gaming headsets because the mic always dies on me and this mic feels really sturdy and well built. If you’re looking for a microphone to use with a headset, then this is the microphone for you. For only 55 this mic is a steal.

Leider verliert das Mikro, wenn ich gelegentlich das Kabel berhre, das Signal. Aber auch nur wenn man das Kabel “stark” berhrt.

Excelent Microphone | Good Quality Sound, Good Build, All Round Winne
Couldn’t have asked for more with this mic, far too often have i tried these gimmick mics with silly little shock mounts for around 30 but i always end up complaining about how bad they sound, i think that personally if you care about the sound on whatever project you’re working on then a microphone like this is mandatory. The quality of the microphone is just brilliant, it looks excellent, however for the included stand although this might be useful when you first get the microphone i personally have switched to an arm stand to have the microphone on.
Great mic for voice cha
Moved from a webcam mic to this Blue Snowball, and the change in voice quality is tremendous. I am really satisfied with this purchase.
I use it mainly for Skype and Discord voice chat, togheter with a Blue Ringer (shockmount). There are several other people in my chat which have also purchased this mic after hearing mine. They do not however use the shockmount, instead only the original stand, and it works fine.
Great Produc
This is a great microphone for everyday use. From gaming to VOIP, it produces crisp clean sounding audio with no/very litttle background noise. For the price of this condenser microphone, and to receive such a high quality product is astonishing. The microphone feels very heavy for it’s size but this is a good indicator that there is high quality materials used to manufacture it. The tripod is metal with rubber feet to prevent it from sliding around. The only negative thing I can state about this microphone is it can be a little quiet if your not close to it (within 15cm).
Fantastic streaming / gaming mic
Fantastic piece of kit great audio 10 times better than my corsair vengeance 1500 headset in gaming and for twitch streaming. I’m using it in Windows 10 and think the volume / gain is absolutely fine as kind as you not 20 m away haha ! I sit around a foot away and it’s perfect with little pick up for the speakers!

Pretty fantastic for what it is. A cheap substitute for doing videos or podcasts. The only problem, is getting a pop-filter which can connect to the stand is a bit difficult. I found one, and after not using it for an extended period of time, I went to move the microphone and the entire stand of the microphone (shaft, not the stand legs) shattered as if it had been exposed to extreme temperatures.
It has three settings which are not labelled, for high dB and low dB directional, and an omni. Honestly a very quality mic for what it does.
However, I contacted the company and after (a fairly lengthy wait time), they sent me a new stand out free of charge. I would definitely recommend this and other products from the company.

This product is excellent value for money. If you’ve been recording sound through some grotty webcam mic, you’ll be as amazed as me at how much better and truer is the sound you record on the Snowball.

All is good, except that adjusting wheel does not hold the mic in place, so it’s either all the way up or down, even though i twisted it tight, sad, but the rest is perfect.

Invece la qualit perfetta per fare del podcasting, delle riprese musicali amatoriali (ho provato ad utilizzarlo per registrare alcuni spezzoni di prove della mia band, direttamente come microfono ambientale e se ben posizionato e regolato ha un’ottima definizione delle singole frequenze), ma ovviamente ci che serve avere coscienza dei fondamentali sull’uso di un microfono e di un software di registrazione audio.
Ho letto recensioni precedenti in cui si parlava di livello troppo basso o esageratamente alto, ma, ora che ho avuto la possibilit di usare il microfono, posso confermare che si tratta solo di saperlo usare nel modo corretto.
Ha un utile trigger sulla parte posteriore, per selezionare una delle 3 configurazioni delle 2 capsule microfoniche interne: 1 capsula cardioide, 1 capsula cardioide con attenuazione di 10db, 2 capsule omnidirezionale.
Non ci si pu ovviamente aspettare il risultato che si pu ottenere con un microfono a condensatore tradizionale connesso ad un preamplificatore e/o ad una scheda audio di buona qualit, non questa la ragione per cui acquistare questo prodotto. Per se si vogliono fare podcast o qualsiasi tipo di video/audio cast, voice over su video, riprese ambientali semplici, questo microfono si rivelato un’ottima scelta.
Nel mio caso, anche non utilizzandolo frontalmente, ho dovuto aggiungere un antipop, ma ovviamente questo varia da voce a voce.
Se rientrate nelle categorie che ho citato sopra e non volete investire molti soldi ma ottenere comunque un risultato pi che degno, mi sento di consigliarlo.

Ha un utile trigger sulla parte posteriore, per selezionare una delle 3 configurazioni delle 2 capsule microfoniche interne: 1 capsula cardioide, 1 capsula cardioide con attenuazione di 10db, 2 capsule omnidirezionale.
Non ci si pu ovviamente aspettare il risultato che si pu ottenere con un microfono a condensatore tradizionale connesso ad un preamplificatore e/o ad una scheda audio di buona qualit, non questa la ragione per cui acquistare questo prodotto. Per se si vogliono fare podcast o qualsiasi tipo di video/audio cast, voice over su video, riprese ambientali semplici, questo microfono si rivelato un’ottima scelta.
Nel mio caso, anche non utilizzandolo frontalmente, ho dovuto aggiungere un antipop, ma ovviamente questo varia da voce a voce.
Se rientrate nelle categorie che ho citato sopra e non volete investire molti soldi ma ottenere comunque un risultato pi che degno, mi sento di consigliarlo.

I use this microphone because the one on my headset is far too quiet. I love this microphone though, it’s sound quality is extremely good. The only thing I dislike is the stand is far too small, I bought a mic arm to clamp onto my desk.

Great microphone and fantastic value
I’ve had my eye on this mic for ages and I can say I’m not disappointed at all. The quality of this mic is fantastic and well worth the price. As someone that makes Youtube videos and regularly makes calls on Skype, this mic has proven to be outstanding and I’d highly recommend it.

Although I do get people telling me the mic goes really quiet for a moment on Skype, not sure if it’s the mic or Skype messing up however.

Excellent microphone, sound quality is very very impressive. Bought this as a replacement for a cheaper one for the purpose of recording youtube tutorials. It’s quite large, larger than you would think from the picture, not sure I’d want to use it with a laptop but for desktop purposes it’s awesome.

Perfect "Plug and Play"
For me this is probably the best microphone going for less than 50. It is easy to setup and comes with everything you need, and is just a plug and play sort of mic. The quality is fantastic and people have commented that my gaming streams sound a lot better. It’s actually pretty good. Funny story- i had it plugged into audacity and realized one day that the audio quality was quite bad- thought of returning it and later realized that on audacity I had selected my laptop microphone instead of ‘blue snowball microphone’. Also plug it in first before opening the audio editing software you use and make sure the right mic is selected for recording not your default laptop mic. It’s quite clear and low noise. Personally, I like the 3 switch version of the snowball (usually use only mode 1,2) over the new single mode version I’ve heard of- see if you can get your hands on the 3 mode version if you’re into music recordings (guitar/vocals) or podcasting.

Looks superb really catches the eye, built quality feels very premium. You certainly feel like you have a high quality product on your hands.
The sound quality produced for YouTube voice overs and some of the guitar/singing tracks I like to record is simply outstanding. It’s a fun quirky mic that performs way above what it should.
The negative reviews on here are comparing it to high level studio mics, that’s not what this is about its about having fun at home and having great quality sound from your home computer done simple and well. Just plug it in and away you go, superb BUY IT!

I wanted a decent quality microphone to use with Skype and also to make some personal voice recordings. The Snowball has fulfilled my needs perfectly. I like the somewhat retro design appearance and the adjustable stand works reasonably well. Installation is plug and play and is working well in my Windows 7 setup. The clincher is the excellent sound quality.

Since the Blue Snowball is USB, it is easy to use for anyone on any machine.
I can’t really complain about anything with this microphone. Given that I use it for Skype and in game communication, it does everything I need it to just fine.
One thing I would warn is that if you use a mechanical keyboard this thing will pick it up very easily so you may want to position it close to your mouth and in front of your keyboard.

Great Mic, Ignore the Hate
People love to hate this mic because it is USB and it is viewed as a “weak race” of microphones. I do agree to that argument to an extent, I do not see this microphone as bad. It does what a good microphone should do which is to make your voice clear and precise to anyone listening.
After my friend told me about his own, I told him that I had to check it out. He showed me it’s small and interesting design with all it’s purposes and uses. It records my voice just fine, it helps out a lot when my audio recording is involved, and my friends even noticed how clear I sound whenever I voice call them while gaming.
People who say this mic sucks just because it is a USB mic obviously expect way too much out of a product like this. Am I saying to use this for a band microphone or for some other professional purpose for your voice? Maybe, but there are always going to be better mics out there.
My point is that this mic does what a good mic should do and shouldn’t be compared to non USB mics because that is silly and a waste of time. That’s like comparing a bike to a motorcycle. They both do what they are intended for.

Really happy with my decision on this one. I use the mic for podcasting and it's made a noticeable difference from a couple of slightly-cheaper mics that I worked with. Well constructed, too. For my simple purposes, does everything I could ask. Well made and strong materials.

Windows 7 minor setup issue ...
On my Ubuntu laptop, worked like a charm, plug and play no problem.
On my Windows-7 desktop however it was a bit tricky;
When plugged in first, it did not get picked up, had to
1- Go into device-manager,
2- Select the mic
3- Hit properties/Driver/Update driver.
4- Do not choose “Search Automatically”, or else the search will hang.
5- Choose, “Browse my computer”, then “Let me pick from a list”, then choose the audio device from the list.
Not sure if it is a common issue but thought I’d share my experience with setting it up just in case.

Decent size, weighty, robust and best of all it has the cleanest waveforms I’ve had from a microphone. Plug it in and it is good to go. Can be a little tricky to clean but other than that, I have no regrets at all.

No soy experto en el tema micrfonos, es el segundo que tengo despus de un Behringer C1, y la verdad que noto ligeramente que la calidad es mejor. A unos 45 cm graba perfectamente, y para un podcast de 2 personas, que es el principal uso que le voy a dar, graba con una nitidez bastante buena. Sobre todo me gusta la comodidad de enchufar a un USB sin necesidad de pasar por una tarjeta de sonido como otros micros de calidad si requieren, para mi es casi lo mas importante, la comodidad. En Mac al menos, es enchufar y comenzar a grabar. Un producto que recomiendo.

habe mir das Mikrofon zugelegt, da viele von der Firma Blue berzeugt sind, leider aber das Yeti fr meine Verhlktnisse zu teuer.

Great microphone (when it finally arrived, originally got books instead…) works well for group chats on the playstation, does give a bit of echo to the person on the other end sometimes.
Well worth the money
It is a great microphone. I use it for a new business venture for interviewing guests on Google Hangouts. There has been times I have had up to 4 or 5 people in a room and everyone could be heard easily. Plugged it in and it was ready to go. Picks sound up perfectly. I could have gone for more expensive options but this does what I need it to do.

ottimo microfono…se parliamo comunque di entrylevel. la cancellazione del rumore funziona bene , ma l’audio presenta sempre dei rumori di sotto fondo che danno impressione di una mal equalizzata configurazione. a distanze maggiori di 50 cm circa la capacit del microfono di catturare una buona qualit di voce diminuisce anche impostando la 3 configurazione. ma per 60 (prezzo a cui ho acquistato) ne vale la pena, su questa fascia prezzo forse uno dei migliori e facili da usare
Great Mic for it's Price.
The microphone is simply great, very clear voice and has several modes and I found the second one removed all the background noise that the first one was picking up and this was really nice.
However, the cable I received with the microphone wasn’t working and only after changing it that the mic worked, so I wasn’t happy about that but otherwise it’s working just great.
I use this for recording guitar and talking on Skype. It is exactly what I needed, and gives a good quality sound. It is effective at cutting out background noise and is incredibly easy to use, just plug and play.

The only con I can think of is that it is a little heavy, so mounting it on a mic stand is going to be difficult.
For the price, you’d be hard pressed to find a better condenser mic.

The mic arrived on time. I’m really pleased with it!
It was very simple to assemble and setup, without needing to refer to the manual.
Having the three settinge on the back (cardioid, -10dB, and omnidirectional) makes it quite versatile. Cardioid is the ideal option for recording a single sound source e.g. for a voice-over, or a single instrument, or singer. The -10dB option is useful when recording a very loud sound source — it reduces the input to the mic by 10dB, and the omnidirectional option is useful for recording sound coming from multiple sources at the same time e.g. groups of musicians, meetings, conferences etc.
On the downside I have two minor quibbles. . .
As some people have reported, the mic seems to record at a slightly low volume, This was also my experience, but it can easily be rectified at the post production stage. If you are using software like Virtual Audio Cable, and VoiceMeeter to monitor, or stream the output, then of course it is easier to adjust to your liking.
The mic is very, very sensitive, it picks up everything. It pics up the sound of my computer, even when the fans are not running. There is of course, a very simple solution to this, and, that is to buy, or make a DIY, portable audio booth. You would probably need to do this for any condenser mic anyway, if you need to avoid extraneous sounds creeping into your recordings, and it also cuts out reverb in rooms with bare walls, floors, and ceilings.
So, all in all, at the price, this mic deserves at least four stars
