Great replacement for built in microphones
Despite previous reviews to the contrary, the model I bought (Snowball) worked perfectly with my Windows 10 laptop, so I can only assume that there have been updates and improvements since reviews <2021.

I bought this specifically to replace the built-in microphone on the laptop for tabletop gaming where players were both present in the room or online via Discord. The microphone picked up all the voices of players present in the room, and there were no complaints from those playing through Discord. There were no reports of feedback from the speakers to the microphone, though we didn't have it on the wider conference room type setting.

Although there will be better, more professional microphones out there for the streaming gamer, this worked perfectly for our needs and would thoroughly recommend for the price and quality.

The quality of this budget microphone is impeccable. One minor issue is that it can be a little quiet. You can adjust the volume on your computer, but out of the box, it can be annoying.

worked great for 5 months was replaced with a new one
Worked for 5 months then the cable connector in the back on the mic stopped working, i tried unplugging and plugging cable back in as mic just stopped working, and all that happened was the cable connector just pushed into the back of the mic instead, im hoping it can replaced only had it for 5 months. Before it stopped working i was thrilled with it, worked well and was very easy to set up, however not impressed with how long its lasted, but hoping mine is just faulty. Turned out mine was just faulty. Was replaced with a brand new one directly from supplier. They were very helpful and didn’t take long to sort out.

Meine Bewertung bezieht sich auf das Snowball (ohne ice).

Qualitativ ordentlich verbaut. Schnell montiert und auf dem Tisch platziert. Hlt fr mich was es verspricht. Ich hatte nicht wirklich Lust, ein Mikrofon beim spielen direkt im Gesicht zu haben, suchte aber dennoch gute Aufnahmequalitt.

Den noise cancelling modus muss ich nicht nutzen, da ich das Mikrofon in Verbindung mit RTX Voice (nvidia) verwende und die Software macht von Haus aus schon einen super Job was das betrifft.

Das mitgelieferte Kabel war fr mich ausreichend lang. Natrlich kann man auch gerne ein anderes, lngeres verwenden, sofern bentigt.

Alles in allem von der Qualitt her, der Verarbeitung und dem angedachten Einsatzzweck bin ich positiv berrascht.

Besser als herkmmliche Headset Mikrofone. Ich fr meinen Teil kann eine Empfehlung aussprechen. Man macht wenig falsch mit diesem Mikrofon, wenn man nicht gerade mit einem Hardware-Mischpult arbeitet (dann braucht es schon xlr etc). Aber auch dafr gibt es ja bspw voicemeeter und hnliches.

Fácil de usar, pocas opciones de control
Son buenos micrfonos. Los uso para complementar grabaciones en mis videos, para podcast o para conferencias en lnea. Creo que las opciones que tiene (1 switch con 3 posiciones) son bastante limitadas. No tiene botn de encendido, lo apagas al desconectarlo. No hay volumen, por lo que todo debe ser via software. Es buena opcin si eso no te molesta, pero si quieres algo ms controlable, mejor uno con esas opciones.
Es plug n play, por lo que no es necesario configurar nada en la PC o MAC para que funcione. Quiz debes configurar la entrada en cada programa, pero eso depende de cada software.

Mine was discounted because of some sort of damage to outside of the product. I’d assumed a scratch, or a dent, or some sort of blemish. But I’m yet to find anything of the sort…bonus.

Grea
Easy plug and play device. Great quality as I was using it on Discord and playing Overwatch. Also bought a pop filter to go with it which made it even better. You get what you pay for, and in this case it was worth it.

I bought this to use for teaching during lockdown, both live on Zoom and making recordings of lectures on camera. Comparing this to my Rode Lav+, also an Amazon purchase, the sound from the Snowball is not as crisp. For live teaching, the omnidirectional setting does not capture my voice very well, so I get better sound if I put it in the unidirectional setting and watch that I do not move my head around very much, so that's not ideal. For recording material on camera, I have to tip the microphone so that it is only 6" from my mouth to get good sound. Basically, I think this is probably best if you buy all the accessories--the mount and the arm. Without it, the sound very average. I would just replace my Rode lavalier, but two out of three that I order do not work. For live sessions I am using the Fifine Computer Gooseneck Mic with mute button. It's cheaper and, though, it's a stationary usb mic, the gooseneck enables me to move this closer to my mouth but keep it off-camera.

Ill recommend this over the "Blue Yeti Microphone" because how good the quality is, you don't even need a noise suppression or anything to make this Microphone good, Also it crystal clear! The durable is amazing! I drop this with the box several times but not anything broken, and also nothing is missing! I would rate this 5 Stars. The Conclusion is that this Microphone is 1. Cheaper, 2. Durable, 3. Quality. Definitely would recommend this.

Qualit della voce ottima,un p troppo “aperto” il suono,ma con i giusti mezzi si ottiene un bel suono. Ottimo per gaming, per voice recording (trovate plugin che migliorano il sound)… Unico neo Ho notato che a distanza di anni il chiusino che regola l’asta non si chiude bene… peccato.

Die Bestellung kam – wie immer von Amazon – sehr schnell und pnktlich. Die Installation war einfach, und die Qualitt ist top. Darber hinaus gefllt mir der weisse “Schneeball” einfach sehr gut, er passt hervorragend zu all meinen anderen Desktop-Einrichtungen. Das Preis/Leistungsverhltnis fr ein so schickes und technisch sehr ausgereiftes Produkt ist sehr erfreulich (fr unter 90 EUR). Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen!

Nice produc
I am using this for on-line church services, providing musical items on violin and tin whistle. It works fine with the violin but with the tin whistle, there is pitching and fading in and out at the recipient’s end. The strange thing is, if I use my tablet for this purpose with the tin whistle, it’s fine. I am fairly certain this is due to the conferencing app. which is designed for speech and not the microphone but it is somewhat disappointing. Well made and ideal for most without spending silly money. I have since found by disabling the auto gain in the app.the music quality is much better and the fading issue has gone.

A no brainer! Crisp sound quality
I had to snap this one up as soon as it came in stock. I’ve been using this for 2 days now…and OMG! The sound quality is absolutely amazing. It’s as crisp as it can get. I used to use my MacBook mic prior to this to create tutorials. There’s a day and night difference between the two. I found that setting no. 1 works best for my needs.

ALMOST PERFECT - YouTube, Voice over, Music - A great beginne
Purchased this microphone a few years back when I had just got started into video editing and recording voice over for various projects.

First impressions –
Colour – Silver

Design: Sleek, shiny, compact – The microphone itself has a some what balanced weight to it, not too heavy, but also not light enough to feel cheap (given the price!)
The somewhat vintage like design looks very nice, once on the tripod provided, in most technology surroundings (computer, laptop, office).

Setting up/ ease of use –

Process: Attached the microphone to the tripod provided is as simple as screwing on a bottle cap on a bottle on drink – twist until tight, simple.
The USB cable provided is lengthy enough for most desk or other swing arm attachments.
Settings on the microphone are a simple switch on the back depicted by what is desired in terms of sound.

Audio –
Quality – Very good, would even say great at times, clear audio through and through! Some slight clipping with audio (perhaps due to shouting a little too loud on my end to test the peaks) but this is to be expected with almost all microphones so that’s a relatively invalid comment in aspects.
In terms of peaking I found it quite rare, if it was to peak at all during general vocalising or any kind. It picks up the lows, and it picks up the highs, and it does it well! That’s the main focus, if it does it well, and it sure does!

Pros:
– The compact and light weight design is perfect for smaller desk setups and tripod/ swing arm attachments.

– The ease of setup is wonderful, just plug in and start recording!

– The simple switch on the back for desired sound recording is perfect for beginners and can be changed in a pinch

Cons:
– Choice in settings on the back of the microphone is limited. The minus decibel setting is very quiet, unfortunately this cannot be adjusted unless in post production (raise the sound up) this can cause distortion in quilting though!

Overall:

– The microphone is perfect for beginners/ intermediates looking for a cheap and affordable way of starting off their sound recording projects! Clear and precise audio.

I would have liked more versatility with the settings but, for the price, even having the option to change sound input is a great feature.

If you’re looking for a place to start your YouTube, voice over, music project, and are a little strapped for money then this is the microphone for you! I have not seen nor been able to compare to other microphones within this price bracket during the time of this review.

You won’t find better for this price range…

BUT…

If for instance you are able to spend a little bit extra then I would suggest the Blue Yeti

If not, this microphone will do just the job that’s needed, and perhaps a little bit more!

Vengo de usar el micrfono de unos headset logitech G230, y la diferencia entre el micro del headset y el blue snowball es muuyy grande, definitivamente una buena actualizacin. el material del micrfono es bueno, no se siente barato, se siente de construccin robusta, mi versin que es color aluminio la verdad es muy vistosa, se ve mas profesional que las versiones de color.

la instalacin es tan sencilla que simplemente lo conectas y windows te lo instala en un minuto y ya esta listo para usarse con cualquier software (streamlabs, voicemod, audacity, lol, etc) les recomiendo conectarlo a un puerto USB DAC-UP si cuentan con uno.

aunque la diferencia entre el micrfono de un headset (o una webcam) es muy superior, hay algunos micrfonos en su gama que probablemente lo hacen mejor, solo que necesitan mas accesorios para funcionar, la ventaja (y desventaja) principal del snowball es que es usb no necesita de fuente alimentacin extra ni cables extra, y su tripie pequeo hace la funcin aunque siempre es mejor ponerle un brazo que se sujete del escritorio para tener mas flexibilidad.

si tu presupuesto es ajustado (como el mio) pero quieres algo con buena calidad de sonido este es tu micrfono, si cuentas con un poco mas de efectivo te recomendara ver otras opciones.

The quality is excellent, the only issue I have is lowest part of my voice register get cut off on low volume but if I push the note a little it gets picked up. I am very satisfied with this USB condenser mic.

Good sound quality
I use it for making MP3s for my hypnotherapy clients. A much better sound quality than anything I had before. It’s best to put it in an open grocery box lined internally with acoustic foam, and have it about twelve inches in front of you.

Sono una musicista professionista e cercavo un microfono per poter registrare la voce e il mio strumento (arpa) con una qualit di suono accettabile. Ovviamente questo non un microfono da studio di registrazione ma fa il suo discreto dovere e mi sento di raccomandarlo a chi cerca un prodotto con queste caratteristiche.

Come indicato da altre recensioni, l’opzione di registrazione “omni” un po’ fumo negli occhi. Invece la possibilit di diminuire il volume di 10dB al momento di registrare (per evitare che il suono venga distorto) funziona bene ed molto pratica. Riproduce lo spettro di frequenze in modo abbastanza corretto, senza buchi vistosi o eccesso di volume in alcune fascie.

Facilissimo da usare e collegare al computer (ho un vecchio MacBook e non ci sono stati problemi).

Fantastic Microphone But Does Detect Background Noise
Bought this microphone for podcasting with multiple people, it’s perfect. Stand is adjustable so you can have it quite tall or standard depending on your set up. Quality was clear and improved with a good editing software to input to. Omnidirectional feature works fantastically, though background environmental noise was picked up so maybe look in to accessories if that’s a concern.

I used to use the Ice and the sound quality was "meh". This mic sounds significantly better, and for the small increase in price, it's worth it. It doesn't pick up my keyboard strokes, desk movement or background noise even half as much as the ICE did. Very happy with this mic and will buy another in the future.

Comprato usato su amazon a una cinquantina di euro stato un vero affare. E’ un microfono semi professionale che mi serviva per registrare del parlato. Suono non potente ma molto equilibrato, ottimo anche senza filtro pop. Per registrare al meglio una singola voce occorre avvicinarsi molto al microfono.
