Great tool makes short work of sanding rough wood very happy with my purchase
Great tool – sanded my whole stairs and landing with this, easily coped with long hours and high demand. Not the most powerful belt sander on the market but great for its size

Made light work of sanding down 3 layers of paint off a Chest of draws
Automatic belt centring , Powerful, aluminium chassis, dust collection filter and box.. recommend vacuum collection for inside use. Excellent product from Bosch.Non speed variable model. Follow safety instructions if you are a novice with this.
Sand with the grain to avoid gouges against to remove volumes super fast! But Be aware!
Seems well put together and certainly an upgrade on my previous one. However, belt supplied disintegrated straght away and jammed mechanism and took a while to clear so that was disappointing.

Excellent workhorse. Well worth the extra money I think. Seems to go on and on. Has stripped back 6 scaffold boards really easily. Very powerful, and works really well with cheap Silverline belts too.

Love this sander, easy to use , gives great results. In all a wonderful machine
I always like Bosch kit and this is no exception works well and is well made. The only issue I have is that Bosch state that the belt is self centering but I found that it does tend to stray a bit from centre and frays the belt slightly.
Well made, easy to use and I like that the belt adjusts automatically. My previous sander had more gizmos but was ultimately naff compared to this Bosch.
I know when i buy Bosch it is quality and this is the same. Works well

Purchased this for the man. To say he is happy would be an understatement. Any excuse to use this during the refurb of the house he has. Plus he said it’s made a number of jobs a breeze. Happy man = a peaceful life.

It really powerful, use clamps to hold the work and done leave in one place it will cut into the wood quite deep, not good for finish sanding but for rough timber and uneven it’s brilliant, easy belt change, and good dust collection box

I got lucky with some of my recent room purchases this is a great sander. Well made and easy to use, it sands at a quick rate, but it’s controllable enough that my wife sanded our banister on her own and made it look easy.
Does what it says on the box although more thought could have went into the box filter that fits on the side as it comes off too easily and can get in the way if you have big hands like myself. On a final note a genuine Bosch product would be made in Europe and not China, bit of misrepresentation there I think. Buyers take note.
This is a very effective sander. Quite heavy to hold but performed brilliantly
Great sander. Rapid removal. The micro filter box is great too cause it keeps things clean and you can collect the dust and mix it with PVA and use it to fill any holes. It saves you buying any wood filler and it’s the same colour as your wood.
This is a seriously well-made belt sander. feels indestructible. I do get through sanders at a high rate and have destroyed a Tacklife over a weekend (the belt wouldn’t stay centred despite constant fiddling with the tensioner) and my old trusty Black and decker (drive cog wormed its way into the housing) .
There is less plastic in this Bosch and joy of joys: it has an automatic belt tensioner/centerer.

It’s a good machine well I’m only a DIY person, but I am impressed by the power and how easy it is to use. Changing the belt is easy, I bought extra ones thankfully, at different grades and the one which comes with doesn’t last long. Turn wooden pallets into nice bird tables 🙂

I think a couple more belts should have been included to help get started. I bought a set from elsewhere and they worked well for sanding down a rough sawn tree trunk section for a small table .. ..
Creates a nice smooth finish on finger tip after the wound heals!
Used it to prep inner doors of home ready to leave as natural wood. Good feel to it easy to use and maintain.
Using this quite a lot now, it’s the first one I’ve had and wish I had one sooner!

Bought to replace a Vonhaus sander which was absolutely crap, belt would never stay central and kept shredding sheets, this bosch one is brillia
Bought this product to do 2 large floor areas that had been abused by previous home owner. Product worked well, but could not get it close enough to the floor edges. Chewed through the belts quickly and had to buy plenty of replacement belts in advance of its arrival. This is a powerful beast so keep hold tight when firing up. Keep belts away from walls as will gouge circular marks. Skirting being re-painted now. Use 40 grade belts for stubborn areas – its just quicker and easier on your time.
Seems well made, very easy to use and it adjusts the belt for you. Only negative is the dust box is but crap

This is a great sander. I bought it to replace my orbital sander. A job that used to take me 3-4 hours to do now gets done in an hour thanks to this awesome belt sander.
Good for outside work but filter doesnt stay on so would be messy for inside work.
Bought for 50 ish on an Amazon special day. Great bit of kit & should be part of your sanding arsenal, just take it easy as it’s far too easy to take off more than you intended to. Admittedly, I need more practice. You can flip it over as well & clamp it in a workbench – I used it to grind some metal off of my chop saw fence which wasn’t straight.
Excellent for use on wood and keeps a steady hold so no messy cuts! You really can’t go wrong with this and at this price it’s really excellent and value for money. I have used it for over 5 months now and it still works like new so I am definitely a happy customer!

This does the job well and has a very good filter mechanism for the dust!
he construction is solid. the noise before sanding operation is reasonably quite. the belt centering is a great feature. I like the idea of the dust collection bag filter for small jobs. it is heavy enough to do a decent job but not too heavy as to be tiresome after lengthy use. not done so yet but being able to bench mount the sander is a great feature.

I upcycle furniture. I’m new to it. Bought a Sanding Belt recommended mid price range. Five weeks on I’ve had to replace it. So bought this one. Its much lighter, much more maneouvrable and feels like I’m controlling it, not holding it back! The dust extraction is amazing. Having lived in 2 cm of dust each time I sand, I couldn’t believe how effective this was. The quality of sanding is amazing and it actually helped me to realise that I’m using poor quality sandpaper! Couldn’t believe how long the paper lasted, still using it!. On 40 grit, 2 sweeps and its good. Straight in at 120 grit (I’ve had to use 80 in between) and its actually good enough to wax on this! 240 used if painting its great. Its quieter than my old one too! Whats more this is only 700 ish whereas my last one was over 1000 w. It was well worth the money
Brilliant and has served me well for a year on my DIY adventures.
Good solid construction. A little on the noisy side but I suppose Sanders do tend to be. I like it has holes that allow it to be configured as a bench sander. For home use, this is a decent bit of kit.
Used it for some old doors that were covered in layers of old paint, handled the job nicely in no time at all.
Easy to change belts and collects well.
As expected, its very noisy, so wear earplugs or defenders.

Good machine and effective but the dust box is small and keeps falling off. For any large jobs it needs a connector to the vacuum cleaner or outside with a mask.

I like this sander and have purchase several over the years. My newest one was purchased 18 months ago and now the belts simply fall off due to the tension (adjustment to change the belt) becoming loose. I really don’t want to but another but does anyone know how to repair the tension?
This is a brilliant sander, had for a while now and it works really well. Just used for home use but have used it when making a few pieces of furniture and it is great. The hoover attachment works really well.
Powerful unit. Great for removing lots of wood really fast. Would recommend the model with the adjustable speed instead.
Half the price of my old one, which would have cost twice as much to repair. Hope it lasts as long

Did what it said on the box. Easy to use and stripped the paint off the outside doors with little effort. The dust trap worked well until it clogged, it needs to be emptied often as it is efficient at collecting the dust and hence fills quickly. A good product, wished I’d bought one sooner.
An excellent machine. It really works well. I had been using another well known make for years but it wasn’t a patch on this Bosch sander.

A ronseal product, it just works no problems. Did my roof beams in 3 rooms at any angle without a problem.
Takes a bit of getting used to how powerful this is, but once mastered this is a very solid feeling tool that seems well designed.
This is my second and definitely best (so far belt sander)

Great hand grips mean full control, I put mine up side down in my vice clamp and it works like a charm for sanding smaller pieces.
Belt is easily removed and replaced and almost centers its self.
Does a great job in a fraction of the time and really robust. My husband has sanded more things since this arrived than in the last 28 years!
Great sander, possible a bit unkind to expect it to do a whole floor, but we’re getting there. Slowly. Sander doing it’s job fine.
very powerful, however the front handle limits you getting tight into corners. Its a shame it could not be removed, otherwise very good product. collects dust well too.

An excellent piece of equipment. I thought that it would be rather heavy to use, but the weight is an advantage as the weight alone is sufficient for sanding large flat areas

This is a brilliant machine, very compact, powerful, collects nearly all of the dust, ( just make sure to empty the box ).
