very compact and easy to store. ideal for a small garde
great mowe
As an older person with bad knees I needed a lawn mower light, efficient and easily moved. This is it good grass collection box with a battery life that gives me an hours cutting. Whilst not the most sturdy body it is ample for light domestic use.
Very disappointed as lawn mower did not come with any Manuel or directions. My father had to have a neighbor put it together and now does not know how to switch it on or how it works.

An Excellent Bosch Cordless Lawnmower. My dad (RIP) loved BOSCH products, so I bought this cordless mower. What can I say? Dad was always right. A must-have if you have three average size gardens. The battery lasts a good time if you work efficiently. I always had a manual mower. So, it is very nice to have this one. Thank you.
Compact and powerful enough for small garde
Does more then one mow on a charge in a small garden. No fiddly cables.
I’m MOST impressed with this mower. My lawn isn’t that large (30 meyres square) and the battery will last for two mowings and strim the edges if I choose to be fussy with my matching 18 volt Bosch strimmer, as it cuts pretty well at the lawn edges. I would have preferred a shorter cut for midsummer mowing but for my purposes (deterring moss and weeds) the highs set are good enough.
The biggest fault I find is the long handle temps me to lift the front wheels off the ground. A little care over comes this.
My advice for a town gardener is “GO FOR IT !!!!!!”
Lightweight m/c easy to handle, although I wonder whether grassbox will retain it’s shape, over extended use, looks a bit flimsy.
Had to be pressed into service cutting wet grass, which it did not like, also shortened battery life considerably compared to that advertised. My previous hovermower much more robust in wet grass.
Need to wait for a period of dry weather to see if the battery life is as claimed, and looks as if my hovermower my be needed for wet weather.
This cordless mower is much easier to use than my old corded mower, so no trailing leads to worry about. It mows well and can even pick up fallen leaves, just a shame it does not have a roller for giving a stripped finish to my lawn. but a great mower for a smaller lawn.
My previous cordless lawnmower broke this was a G tech I had it some years when I look to get another one they had change the design and mainly the battery was completely different so I have two batteries that I can’t use and the new G tech is going for 500.
I came across the bosh city and I got some bosh tools so I thought the battery is there get the bosh. Only to find out that it use a different type of Bosh battery. So I really don’t like sending things back so I am getting the needed beattery. Looking at battery tool I noticed the Ryobi use one battery for all there tools. So from now on any Cordless tools I am getting as got to Ryobi. Should have looked hard before settling for the bosh. So I bashing the bosh. Don’t get me wrong bosh is a good make. But Ryobi one battery for over hundred tools I have already put some in my basket.Four days after getting my bosh lawnmower and then having to order the battery I was able to use it this morning. I have a small garden and after the dry spell I have planted some grass seeds where there where patches so it’s been three weeks and good grass growth since l last mowed the lawn. The Bosh wized through it like hot knife through butter it was so quick I could tell you how long it took maybe five minutes. So I have uped the star rating to 4 from 2 .
It’s also a very good looking bit of kit, with out the grass box it a very small.Overall it’s very
lightweight machine. I can’t give it a five because the handle does not fold away and the lightness of the mower maybe a problem if you have rough ground and uneven ground to deal with. Very nice overall.
Great but needs additional battery
Love it. My lawn isn’t that big and it won’t do it all in one go, so need additional battery or a recharge to complete.
Very good for small to medium gardens
We have been using this lawnmower for a year now and so far have been happy with it. It’s easy to manoeuvre, quiet, and only clogs up when the collection box is full.
We have a few extra smaller batteries for the hand held tools (which are compatible) but found that the included battery stores enough charge for our needs (around 30 mins).
At its price point it could do a with a bigger collection box and also a less plasticky build, but all in all – it’s a good product.
Cut the back grass right out the box to try it out and hadn’t even charged the battery. I’m used to a Flymo so comparing to that – fairly quiet (can talk over it), 99% less cleaning up of sprayed grass cuttings, no dancing around cables, light weight and easy to maneuver about, gets right to the edges of our wooden planter so no need to strim along it and strip the paint. I see alot of people saying it doesn’t go short enough? I didn’t realise just how long my grass was until I went to 30mm, plenty short for an average garden I’d say. I’m looking forward to using it again on the front.
So lightweight and easy to store in a compact area. Ideal for small lawns as the battery doesn’t last long before needing to be recharged. I bought another battery so they both lasted long enough to cut my full lawn. The lift up lid where the battery is stored can be a bit sharp on your hands and arms even though it’s just plastic so be careful when you open it as it cut my arms while trying to remove the battery. Mower was very easy to assemble, and once battery was full I did the first mow. 40 minutes of use and battery seems to have juice left. It’s my first cordless mower and for the ease of use and lack or a pesky cord, I love it. Only concern is that on the whole it does not seem built to last. Nothing ever is these days, but the flimsy plastic used for the grass box does not fill my with confidence it won’t break within a year. Despite being relatively light, picking it up with the built in handle feels a bit like the handle could break. We shall see, I’m going to register it for the free 3 year guarantee, hopefully won’t need to use it – I’ll update the review if I do.
Small and perfectly formed
Relatively easy to put together, very lightweight & fully-charged 90mins. It is a bit flimsy, and you can’t fold the handles down so you’d need somewhere large to store it hence the one star deduction.
I haven’t cut grass for quite a long time but had memories of hating the experience largely due to messing about with cables.
This Bosch CityMower is like a breath of fresh air and FREEEEDOOOOM! I’m dyspraxic but putting it together was fairly straight forwards and no problem to do it by myself. It weighs just around 9kg and its easy to maneuver. The fact it hasn’t got a cord means its possible to whizz up, down, round and round at will and not get yourself tied in knots – and of course there’s no danger of accidently cutting through a wire with 240 volts flowing through it.
The battery is the 4Ah-18v and can be fitted to other devices, such as the UniversalGrassCut 18v-260. The battery weighs about 630grams. It can take several hours to fully charge.
The mower is reasonably quiet too – as much as a lawnmower can be quiet – the pitch doesn’t hurt my sensitive ears.
I’m really pleased with the CityMower and I no longer dread cutting the grass!
Wow! It’s amazing l manage to cut my large lawn effortlessly in under 20mins normally it would have taken anything up to lhr. I must admit when it came l wondered if it would be strong enough as it was so light. It was easy to put the parts together and is stronger than it looks. Being in my senior years l found it absolutely brilliant and easy to manoeuvre. Took me a while to realise that the plastic key provided had to be left in the unit and pushed gently to the back in order to work but that was probably me having a senior moment. I took out the 5 monthly payment plan with Amazon to pay for this item so it was well within my budget.

Perfect for the price
Bought this to replace my greenworks lawn mower. So please that I did!
I already had three other bush battery appliances, so I chose this mower deliberately as it would be able to share the batteries as well.
Ergonomically it is really well designed, multiple buttons on the comfortable handles so that you can change grip and go around corners without any risk of losing power.
The cutting heights are absolutely fine for me, a big improvement on the green works with which I could never use the lowest setting because it would just scrape the ground because of the plastics at the side.
Cutting power is really crisp and easy. The edge of the mower really is the edge of the blades you can cut really confidently. I’ve also noticed that I need to strim far less at the edges all around the obstacles because this mower is sucking in more of the grass to be cut as well.
The only small downside to this mower is that the capacity before it needs emptying is perhaps a tiny bit small. But in all honesty, for all of the other advantages, this is a very minor hassle, and if I have to empty it a couple more times for the sake of a really easy cut, then I’m fine with that!
Lightweight, good battery, shortest grass cutting setting is too high
Compared to our old hover mower, it is very tidy with no grass cuttings spread over footpaths and roads. The only mess comes when taking off the grass collection box, which seems designed to drop bits of grass on the floor!
Easy to assemble but at points a third hand would have been useful.
Very light so easy to lift up and store on a chest-high shelf at the back of the garage.
The wire from body to the handle is a mess and does not sit out of the way. Even where it comes out of the body it seems designed to stick out wider than the mower so that it will catch in bushes at the edge of the lawn. I’ve used two cables ties in addition to the two clips.
It mowed my front and back lawns and my neighbour’s front lawn and still had capacity.
Mowed all the way to the edges, easy yto manoeuvre but but wheels are a little more awkward than hover.
It does not cut short enough. I cannot imagine why I’d ever want the longer settings unless I had a field.

I bought this to replace my 20 year old corded Bosch lawnmower. This battery one arrived well packaged. 4 stars only for “easy to assemble” because it was frustrating trying to put the grass box together. 5 stars for everything else. I think the price is reasonable although the mower does feel a bit cheap. A point to note – make sure you buy a 2nd battery. I have a 2nd battery for a Bosch strimmer and needed this as the lawnmower battery only lasted 25 minutes. Otherwise all good.

Fr meinen kleinen Garten mehr als ausreichend, 2 Ah und 4 Ah Akkus passen. Leicht und handlich. Einziges Manko, der Fangkorb knnte etwas stabieler sein.

Having just purchased the Bosch strimer in the same range, we loved the manoeuvrability and speed that you can use it. we also noticed that as we weren’t twisting to avoid running over a wire, it wasn’t hurting our backs. so we ditched a perfectly good mains electric mower for this.
The construction is similar to the mains version, and the way it works is almost identical. i think its fair to say that they have made some of the items super lightweight so that they can increase battery performance, and as a result some of the plastics feel a little cheap for the cost. however if you can look past that, the mower works perfectly, and the lightweight construction makes its so much easier to move around on the grass.
The battery is very fast to charge, and we have never run out or even got close.
The only thing i do miss is the roller at the back that all the mains Bosch mowers have. This gave my lawn some impressive stripes which were very noticeable. Unfortunately this battery version doesn’t have that, which again is probably for weight saving. Apart from that, we love this new mower and would never go back to mains again.

j’ai achet une capacit de 6Ah, c’est top elle dure vraiment longtemps, mais avoir toujours une seconde batterie de charge pour finir le travail, cela peux servir, sauf si on veut faire une petite pause de 2h le temps de la recharge.
les couteaux sont trs efficaces et les trois positions de hauteur de lame trs apprciable, le nettoyage est facile, prvoir un coupe bordure dans la gamme All18V pour les finissions, proche des poteaux ou dans les petits recoins.
Je suis trs satisfait de cet tondeuse, j’avais prcdemment la version lectrique filaire, la c’est du bonheur de ne pas tre limit par la distance et de ne plus faire attention tirer le cble pour viter de le passer sous la tondeuse.

Viel Plastik, mal schauen wie lange es hlt. Leistung mit 2,5 Ah und 4 Ah Akku probiert. Ich habe eine Wiese und keinen gepflegten Rasen. Gre ist etwa 130 qm. Mit 4 Ah Akku habe ich es mit einer Ladung nicht ganz geschafft. Mit 2,5 Ah Akku braucht man gar nicht erst anfangen. Aber es ist eben eine Wiese und kein Rasen. Schnittqualitt war gut, ich musste nur ab und zu mehrfach ber die selbe Stelle gehen. ber die Haltbarkeit von Gert und der Klingenschrfe kann ich noch nichts sagen. Fr kleine Flchen die nicht zu uneben sind ist er geeignet und ich wrde ihn bis jetzt wieder kaufen.

Last time, I bought Bosch trimmer, very nice. So, we choose mower again. Very happy with this. Light, powerful. After second charge, the Battery can last longer power. Recommend this.
My friends has ekectronuc trimmer and mower of another popular brand, I compared with Bosch. Recommend Bosch, lighter, easy use and more powerful.
GREAT purchase. Easy to use. But you might need more than 1 battery (otherwise excellent option)
Only used it twice (as of yet) but worth the money. And you can feel and see the quality of the machine despite it being lightweight.
Ideal for most gardens – but charge the battery fully before using or purchase an extra one if your garden is large in size. But does as advertised.
Great little battery mowe
As I can’t mow the lawn, my wife has the dubious pleasure and she loves it. The only gripe is that she’s vertically challenged and the handle isn’t adjustable, So I have cut it down by about 10 cm and it’s now perfect. We get through two 2,5 A batteries for the size of our lawn. which is roughly 30 mtr x 15mtr.

Facile da montare anche se le istruzioni non sono in italiano. Ci sono le figure e si capisce lo stesso. Il suo lavoto lo fa anche bene, taglia l’erba in 3 altezze, basta regolare l’altezza delle ruotine. Unica pecca quando lo si va a riporre e si cerca di piegare il manico, questo resta un p alto r non piegabile dal tutto per colpa del filo attaccato.
I spent a bit of time researching which battery powered mower to go for. I’ve always been a fan of Bosch and the battery pack is compatible with my Bosch hedge trimmer so it was an easy choice.
Mows well, 3 height settings. 1 charge lasts 20 mins or so, enough to cover about 80m2.

I saw other videos of bosch where handle can be folded while storing but this one don’t have that. I assume all Bosch mower will have same feature as it is quite basic stuff to save space but this one doesn’t. Also, Bosch needs to improve on the instructions manual, there is no video from bosch to explain on first time usage, neither proper instructions to assemble. Ultimately you will figure it out but hope they provide more clear instructions on assembly and operations.

Currently using with a 1.3AH battery that came with my drill, the mower is great but id recommend getting the 4AH battery that is intended as the small battery really struggles to deliver enough current for long grass. I’ve already killed one battery, the drill came with 2 so I’m good for now but pushing my luck.
The mower is great for small areas particularly if used regularly. If grass is long the box fills up very quick so you need to empty it regularly. I have about 60 square metres to cut so it’s absolutely ideal
Ich habe einen riesige Grnflche zu mhen, mit den 18V 4hAmpere Akkus brauche ich 4 Stck, das einzige Manko, ich musss stndig den Korb leeren. Darum einen Stern weniger. (Gut der Rasenmher ist auch nur fr kleine Rasengelnde geeignet.)
Ansonsten super bis jetzt!!!! Man kann auch die Schnitttiefe einstellen.
(Achtung!! nicht mit den 18V 2HAmpere-Akkus verwenden! Diese laufen hei!!!!)

Ft unseren Garten (400m) ideal, allerdings sollte min. der 4Ah Akku genutzt werden.
I have totally misused this, with too small batteries and too big a garden, but it worked fine.
I had a number of compatible batteries from various Bosch tools and this was one of the only mowers that would ship out to my location. My batteries are 1.5ah and 2.5ah so much smaller than the recommended 6.0ah.
When it originally arrived it was so small and my garden is big (1/3 an acre), and the recommendation is for a smaller garden size. But beggers cant be choosers so I got to work. The 1.5ah batteries ran out predictably quick and the 2.5 ah was fairly ok. I let them cool down and then charged them up again. So if I mow in the morning and evening I can complete my garden in about 4 mowing sessions.
The height adjuster on the front is easy to use – you do need to start this on high and then lower it, and wet grass will use up the battery quicker. Also pay attention to any change in noise as it probably means the grass container is full.
Because it’s pretty quiet and not “scary” my girlfriend likes using it as a break from work, and that means less work for me. She appreciates the different hand positions you can use on the dead mans switch but you do need to keep the switch pressed down while in use which might be a little wearing.
