Excellent microwave at the price range. No nonsense, looks great, easy clean, perfect size.

One of the very few microwaves on the market with a stainless steel interior. Spacious enough to fit one of our dinner plates and although less powerful than our previous one, it is good enough for our needs and great value for money.

One great attraction for me is the stainless interior. I have had two ovens from other makers where the inside has rusted through and the exposed metal has caused arching.
The power rating is slightly less tha my last oven but I can’t say that it has affected cooking times noticeably.

Good microwave. Easy to use. Be aware top surface gets extremely hot if grill is used for 5 minutes +.
Fine for toasting buns or melting cheese. (3 minutes or so. )

I had the earlier model of this microwave when looking for a replacement they were all to automatic and had a fixed watts I just wanted a quick and easy for just warming and cooking small amounts which I could control not auto this model fits the bill both in cost and ease of use

Nice size. It Cooks brilliantly didn’t realise how much l needed a new one till l got this. looks lovely and clean in the kitchen. Only fault is it didn’t have any manual instructions come with it. But it’s so easy to use suppose the manufacture decided not to bother.

This is a really easy to use microwave. All I needed was something to heat things up occasionally so no need for anything fancy or technical. This is perfect!

I bought this microwave because I wanted one wit a stainless steel interior. I found the cheaper painted ones tend to rust and have to go to the tip after a few years even though they are still working. This is however my second Bosch m/w. The last one developed a hole on door from condensation. I wish they made the door stainless steel as well. It’s easy to use and like all Bosch products well made

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat microwave, heats food well and evenly. Easy to use and clean. Unfortunately mine stopped working and it couldn’t be resolved so had to be returned, so couldn’t use it to its full potential. Slightly over priced but great quality.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWonderful that I have had this for two years and it shows no signs of rust. My first ever microwave bought in 1986 was the cheapest available and it lasted me for twenty years without rusting then I had many rubbish microwaves that started to rust from the very start and became badly rusted very quickly. So very pleased with this one that it hasn’t rusted.

Compared with that this is just an annoying quirk this microwave has, it beeps for maybe fifty beeps to let you know your food is ready, whereas previous microwaves I think beeped four times, maybe six and then shut up. As I don’t like being in the (tiny) kitchen with the microwave on, I tend to go and do something else when it is on, so it will beep remorselessly while I am busy elsewhere, and that is really irritating. I wish I could set it to only beep about four times.

The usual range of cooking and reheating. More economic and environmentally friendly than gas. The stainless steel interior males it easy to keep clean. Interiors of past microwave cookers we have had the paint peeled and rust formed and had to be disposed of while in otherwise working order.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is my second one of these. The last was the 900w version but too big in new kitchen. That one has been going since 2013 without missing a beat. This one is the same only smaller. So reliability is 100%. One annoying thing with this and many other Bosch products is the constant noise. I do not need to be beeped at every 2 seconds for a whole minute to tell me my sausage roll is cooked. No option to turn this annoying function off. 5 stars otherwise.

Didn’t want another flaky paint job inside that rusts. This one is great being all metal in and out.
Don’t use the grill part ever but the controls are good with a book that’s clear. Only thing I’d like to alter us the beep alert length it has this in the book but doesn’t seem to alter. So I get 30 beeps if left. I’d like the 3 or so.
We use it for warming up liquid, frozen veg cooking and reheat of meal leftovers.
Yes I’d recommend for build quality and design too

The average life for a microwave seams to be 10 months before the paint inside deteriorates , as this is stainless steel inside I hope it will last a considerable longer than previous makes. It also has a 2 year guarantee.

Separate buttons for different temperatures. Has a fan to cool the microwave automatically after use. Also has a clock which I did not have on my previous microwave.

Like for like replacement for previous unit which had rusted inside after seven years. (Probably my fault for not wiping out condense after each use). Purchased because of simple straightforward controls.

Could not fault this oven and not been used to button control after using a rotary knob for years soon found this method of controlling easier by far and more accurate. very pleased with purchase but only time will tell. Lets hope I am correct in my views.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOur previous BUSH(!) stainless steel microwave served us well for c.20 years, but recently something went bang and stopped heating.

I was adamant about replacing it with another stainless steel machine as experience has taught me that those with coated oven interiors peel or rust.

This machine fits the bill, although worth noting that only the very front of the casing is stainless steel – the rear cabinet is silver painted metal. Still, the oven interior is stainless which is where it counts. It also has the integrated grill which the old one had, so in terms of features is very similar.

Where it falls short it ease of use… The old machine used to have a very convenient start button which would would activate it at full power for 30 seconds. This machine requires 2 presses, 1 to set the power and then a further press of the start button to activate it with a default 1 minute; however, 1 minute is too much for most quick tasks, so you then have to dial down the time by 30 seconds – all of which doesn’t make for a convenient operation!

Other features like defrost programs are pretty cryptic too. You have to refer to the manual every-time as there only a program number on the display and this is coupled to different food types (I’ve had to copy and attach part of the manual to the inside of a cupboard door for quick reference!).

Finally when using the combi grill/microwave to cook a frozen jacket potato while crisping, the grill was largely ineffective and I didn’t notice any difference to the texture which is disappointing. Also worth mentioning that you can only combi cook at less than half the rated power (360W) which I’m sure wasn’t a limitation on the old machine and results in increased cooking times.

With the above caveats, the Bosch brand quality coupled with the stainless construction should hopefully make it last – I just hope it lasts half as long as its predecessor…

its real cute and it really is a stainless steel inside cavity – so no rusting.

seems to vent out the water vapour ok too, so no puddles to mop up like with my 30 quid cheapy

that rusted in the end lol !

light enough to move around ok without knackering your back

I bought this Bosh Microwave because my old LG had started to rust. It came in good time and well packaged with good delivery man. For me this was a good choice as it was the same size as my old one and this had an added grill. I’ve used the grill +microwave, the end result was cooked but no browning.
I can clean the inside without fear of it rusting over time. My only negative is the Red light for the panel clock is not good on my eyes and I find it difficult to see clearly. I prefer a Blue light.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis Bosche Microwave is Old Fashioned , Basic and Expensive………., but , being internally covered in Stainless Steel, is , much better protected from RUST and poisonous paint!
Bought to replace two other Microwaves, both selected as “Which?” best buys , which lasted for less than 18 months before peppering my food with shards of paint and rust, this microwave may not get the “Which?” best buy , but it is still intact , and , so far, free from rust and poisonous paint!
So, Not the best, but this microwave will outlast all the others!

This is the second of these I’ve had. Stylish, smart easy to use and classy. Makes everything else look cheap and nasty; ! Most of them are. Stainless steel is generally difficult to keep clean. A damp micro cloth and you’re good to go!! Great choice of settings. Don’t buy if for the grill however. Not particularly useful.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersIt fits our full size dinner plates, and seems like a solidly built piece of kit. It’s a sleek, simple, industrial design with a 2 yr warranty. We expect it to last beyond that given previous experience with Bosch appliances. Can also be mounted underneath cabinets with included hardware. It is definitely not a throwaway item.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersI had to replace my one year old microwave because it started to rust internally.
The cavity was enamel and 12 months is unacceptable for a product lifecycle.
The cavity in this Bosch model is stainless steel and does not rust. The front is also stainless but the case is painted silver. I have not known a microwave rust in it’s case, only the cavity so this is not a problem.
It has a built in grill function, but I don’t expect I will need this feature. Non the less, I would prefer this Bosch to any other model.
It is easy to use and I think this will last a long time (certainly more than 12 months!).
It was delivered very fast by Amazon and the Amazon service is next to none!!!
    Fully recommend this microwave.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI find this microwave is very good and useful. I do use a microwave a lot for cooking my porridge for my breakfast.
Also I cook some baked potatoes , and I do heat up my other food..
I love baked potato as one of my favourite food!!!
I think Bosch is a best brand as my opinion..
Few of my DIY power tools and my fridge is Bosch brand…
Bosch brand electrical equipment did last me very longtime.

I particularly like the stainless steel interior, which is easy to keep clean. I haven’t yet had time to use all the functions but the instructions seem straightforward.
I chose this microwave for the stainless steel interior and for its compact size – both of which I am very happy with.
It was delivered very quickly. I was very impressed with the efficient service I received.

The two main things that I like is 1. Clear window and light to easily view the item being heated/cooked.
    2. The grill is quick and in fact much better for small items than my main oven.
It may not look as futuristic as some all black with heavily tinted viewing window models but from a practical point it ticks all the boxes for my own requirements.

Good microwave, heats food quickly / feels more powerful than 800w. On the expensive side though for what is a regular microwave from a premium brand. Paying for the label basically. I bought it to match my other Bosch appliances otherwise I would have bought a cheaper brand.

Golden Review Award: 64 From Our UsersWhy would you pay this much money for a small microwave? Here is why:
    1. German engineering and reliability (we have been through 3 cheap microwaves – the last one only lasted 3 years)
    2. Ease of use – choose your cooking strength, turn the timer knob, press go and it does the job – you always know what you are doing, without the “Why is my food not cooking?” question because someone turned the knob to Medium and left it there on your cheap microwave.
    3. It is polite – it doesn’t beep, buzz or make loud noises when you press the buttons or turn the knob – you can set it quietly. It has a series of gentle pings when the food is done, which eventually stop if you have your hands full.
    4. It has a fan which keeps working after the timer is finished, automatically shutting off. This stops the inside of the microwave from pouring with steam from the hot food.
    5. The light stays on when you open the door, but if you wander off, leaving the door open, it automatically turns off after a while.
    6. 800w is powerful enough for most things.
Delighted with this microwave. Can’t recommend it enough. I don’t cook meals in it but I use it several times a day: melting butter, melting chocolate, re-heating cups of tea and coffee, heating the puppy’s hot pad at bedtime, making caramel, cooking frozen peas, defrosting food when unexpected visitors come, (possibly not all on the same day, but you get the idea).

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersExcellent service from Amazon and their courier DPD who delivered next day AND I got a text telling me which HOUR it would arrive. Nice!

The microwave is typical Bosch. Simple, stylish and functional. There are no fancy fiddly extras that never get used – its pretty basic and does what you need it to.

I especially like that it vents out of the side rather than blowing steam all over the wall behind like my previous microwave. Another nice touch is that the fan runs on after it has finished cooking even if you have removed the food which is great because you don’t end up with stale cooking smells inside it.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersUpdate – I was amazed to discover it was 2011 when I purchased this, so definitely worth the price, still working well.

Very happy with this microwave. Purchased because previous LG combination microwave gave up after only 2 years, so this time I wanted a microwave without grill or oven. This Bosche microwave is sleek and compact, but you can still fit a dinner plate inside, so its of adequate size inside.

I’ve not read the manual yet and have used the microwave for 3 weeks now, so its not that complicated to operate. Simply pressing the power level you require brings a one minute time on the screen, then turning the knob increases the cooking time.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThe user guide rates 1 star but the unit rates 5. Thoroughly recommended. Not much else to say. It just sits quietly on the work surface until it’s required. Then it does exactly what you want, and feels as though it will last a lifetime.

    User manual notes
    —————–

I followed the correct procedures. Read the manual on how to unpack it. Put it on a stable surface – all that stuff.

Then I came to the section “Before using for the first time”. It says “When the appliance is connected or after a power cut, three zeros will appear in the display panel”. No they don’t. You get a timer saying 12.00. Ok, move on.

Now (the useful bit) it doesn’t have a one-hit, one-minute button like many models. And it doesn’t have a numbered keypad – it has a rotary dial (not quite so speedy to use). I’ll get used to those because there’s a memory function to store a single program which you can construct to your choice. You can build your own two-hits, one-minute program (You’ve got hit M (for memory) and Start in order to get it going).

So how do I design my program? I follow the instructions which give an example of how to memorise a 360 watt, 25 minute program. But the instructions mention neither 360 nor ‘watts’. The instructions are worse than useless. Ignore them. If you follow them, you achieve nothing. You’ve got to work it out yourself.

I’ll probably get used to it, but the instruction manual must have been written outside of the Fatherland.

Perfect sausages – though it takes much longer than in your usual oven. We’re in the middle of renovating our kitchen, and this machine has been our only means of cooking – it’s been a life saver!
