Gute Qualität und Appverbindung
Hatte vorher einen Entfernungsmesser aus der Bosch Green Reihe getestet. Im Vergleich dazu ist der aus der Professionell Reihe um einiges hochwertiger und robuster. Ein tolles Feature ist die Anbindung per Handy-App, ber die automatisch die Mae eingetragen werden.

Partiamo subito dai PRO:
Il dispositivo ROBUSTO, affidabile e ricco di funzioni (vedi foto e video).
Ormai lo uso spesso in cantiere e non si bloccato neanche una volta ( a differenza del modello preso in precedenza – bosh PLR 40 C – che consiglio invece per uso casalingo). L’autonomia permette di fare moltissime misure, a tutt’ora si scaricato di una sola tacca su tre.
Molto comodo l’applicativo per IOS e android che permette di collegarsi via Bluetooh anche se personalmente non ne faccio un gran uso.
Le funzioni sono molteplici anche se non le utilizzo tutte sempre comodo avere qualcosa in pi
Senza dilungarmi troppo, passiamo agli SVANTAGGI:
in una sola occasione, in presenza di tantissima luce ho avuto un po di difficolt ad arrivare alla misura (fatto il confronto con altro strumento molto pi costoso e anche quest’ultimo non riuscito a misurare la distanza). Per il resto, sono molto soddisfatto dell’acquisto.

Der Bosch Laser-Entfernungsmesser GLM 50-27 C erfllt seine Aufgaben sehr gut. Die Batterielaufzeit (2x AA) ist ausreichend und das Display hell genug um auch bei starken Lichteinfall Ablesungen vorzunehmen. Die Benutzerfhrung im Men ist verstndlich. Die verschiedenen Messprogramme sind leicht anzuwenden und werden vor Anwendung auf dem Display erklrt. Der rote Laserstrahl ist sehr gut sichtbar und die Messergebnisse stimmen mit den analogen Messungen berein. Als sehr angenehm empfinde ich, dass sich die Anzeige des Displays der Gerteneigung automatisch anpasst. Ein digitaler Neigungsmesser ist in dem Gert ebenfalls enthalten und war auerdem ausschlaggebend fr den Kauf. Ein rundum gelungenes Gert.

Fantastico
Mi fa risparmiare tanto di quel tempo che non avrei mai immaginato. Ho tutto sempre sul cell e ed facilissimo da usare l’unica pecca che non da poco visto che bosch, la retroilluminazione dei tasti oggi alle 17 non vedevo i tasti una piccola illuminazione sarebbe stata fantastica. Per il resto non ho nulla da dire app fatta benissimo e facilissima da capire, bisogna smanettare un po ovviamente ma facile e intuitiva.

Wir haben das Gert fr den privaten Gebrauch gekauft.
Wir sind sehr zu Frieden. Es ist sehr einfach damit, Rume zu vermessen.
Auch die App haben wir benutzt. Diese funktionierte bei uns auch sehr gut. Lediglich bei Rumen, die keine Standard Form haben, wurde hier das messen zur Qual. Denn Winkel und Lnge Mae mssen hier perfekt zusammenpassen, sonst knnen die Flchen nicht berechnet werden. Da hab ich so manches mal geflucht, bis ich die Zeichnung und die Messungen endlich so hatte, dass auch Werte rauskamen.
(Ich habe mich aber mit der Winkel – Mess- Funktion noch nicht vertraut gemacht. Vielleicht htte ich mir damit den ein oder anderen rger auch sparen knnen)
Leider ist mein Handy dem Regen zum Opfer gefallen und die Daten konnte ich nicht mehr sichern. (Lsst sich glaube auch nur als PDF exportieren, ein Import auf ein neues Handy ist glaube nicht vorgesehen.)

Just buy it, it’s fantastic. If you get wrong measurements then it’s because you tilted it. The tool is incredibly accurate if you use it properly.
One thing to note is that it does chew though ordinary alkaline batteries very quickly so make sure you carry plenty of spare batteries with you.
Muy profesional
Es un medidor con relacin calidad prestaciones muy bueno. Recomendable comprarlo con la batera recargable. Aplicacin por bluetooth que ayuda a documentar y gestionar proyectos, planos, medidas… El color del lser es rojo y en interiores se ve fenomenal y en exteriores funciona bien, pero recomendable el modelo con el lser en color verde. Es ligero, muy resistente, se puede “mojar”, varias opciones de medidas, ngulos y tipos de reas. El inclinometro o nivel se muestra en pantalla al mismo tiempo que el resto de mediciones y funciona en tiempo real, permitiendo ajustar el punto de medida. La pantalla gira automticamente y es de fcil lectura, quizs algo mejorable el ngulo de visin, pero bien en general.
Hay muchos modelos y marcas, pero sin ir a un Leica, Flir o Wurth, tiene unas prestaciones y precisin muy buenas.
Guter Laserentfernungsmesser mit Zusatzfunktione
Zum schnellen Ausmessen von Rumen und greren Entfernungen habe ich mir dieses Gert von Bosch zugelegt.
Es ist klein & handlich und sehr einfach und intuitiv zu bedienen. Die Anzeige ist sichtbar, auch in hellen Umgebungen.
Die Zusatzfunktionen wie Flchenberechnung, Volumenberechnung, Wandflchenberechnung als auch die elektronische Wasserwage/Nivellierwasserwaage sind eine schne Ergnzung.
Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Gert.
Beste Anschaffung seit langem: Bewusst die Version mit Bluetooth gewhlt um das innere Kind zufrieden zu stellen.

Ich will das Gert nicht mehr missen. Gerade in Ecken, wo ein Zollstock unpraktisch wird, oder auf Entfernung ein Maband schwer zu handhaben ist – mit diesem Messgert hat man keine Probleme.
Und ich bin mir sicher, dass ich die Hlfte der Funktionen am Gert und der App noch garnicht erfasst habe, weil ich noch keine Notwendigkeit dafr hatte.
Weil immer wieder die Diskussion roter vs. grner Laser zu lesen ist: Im mig schattigen Bereich (laserpunkt mit dem Auge noch zu erkennen) ist die rote Laservariante vollkommen ausreichend. Bei strahlendem Himmel wird man auf 50m wohl weder roten noch grnen Laser noch sehen (und das Gert auch nicht)
Premetto che con la tecnologia ci vivo ma devo dire che, per quanto possa sembrare ridicolo, per usare a pieno questo strumento… bisogna studiare (e non poco).
Dopo innumerevoli valutazioni e con un critico passato di diffidenza sull’affidabilit di questi metri laser, ho deciso di spendere bene i miei soldi e prendere un prodotto di fascia professionale con l’innovazione della funzionalit bluetooth e l’app MeasureON (che realmente la parte pi complessa).
Come prima cosa ho voluto verificare la precisione ed imbarazzante quanto sia corretta la misurazione… al punto di dover dubitare del metro a nastro che ho usato come riscontro.
Meno affidabile la misurazione indiretta: nella modalit 90 gradi, la quota del soffitto (2.5m) sbagliata di 1 centimetro, su quella ad angolo aperto… lasciamo perdere.
Questo modello ha il laser rosso che comunque perfettamente visibile anche in ambienti molto illuminati. Il display a colori di buona qualit e leggibile anche con luce diretta. Il misuratore arriva correlato di custodia e laccetto. Il peso bassissimo, la protezione in gomma per gli urti risulta indubbiamente comoda e rassicurante.
Paliamo dell’applicazione: in tutti i video dimostrativi ufficiali si parla di funzione Cloud ma non disponibile in Italia (cambiare lo Stato di appartenenza in fase di setup, non aggira la cosa). Questo scocciante perch tutti i dati restano locali e l’unico modo per estrarli l’esportazione.
L’ideale usarla da un tablet affinch i bottoni e funzioni risultino pratiche. Con un po’ di pazienza, anche da smartphone si riesce… ma facile fare pasticci (soprattutto se si deve disegnare la piantina).
Complessivamente, sono molto soddisfatto dell’acquisto.
Einfache Bedienbarkei
Habe das Gert fr die gesamte Familie bestellt. Ausgepackt, Batterien rein und angestellt. Die Menfuhrung ist super einfach und erschliet sich in den Grundfunktionen auch ohne Lesen der Bedienungsanleitung. Das Gert ist handlich und leicht und lt sich mit der Standart Klettschlaufe der Schutztasche gut und sicher am Grtel befestigen. Ich versuche bei den nchsten Arbeiten rund ums Haus den Gliedermastab weg zu lassen. Mal schauen.
Robust und gute App
Aufgrund der vielen positiven Rezensionen habe ich mich fr diesen Lasermesser entschieden, da ich auf meinen Baubesprechungen einmal die Woche ein schnelles Messgert, auch fr Lngere Strecken bentige.
Zudem ist die App richtig Praktisch gestaltet. Schnell ist ein Foto mit dem Handy von der Situation gemacht und dann kann es schon losgehen Mapfeile in das Bild zu ziehen und diese dann real auszumessen. ber die Verbindung zwischen Handy und Lasermesser wird die Distanz direkt bertragen und trgt sich von selbst auf den zuletzt gezogenen Mapfeil. So mache ich das mittlerweile recht hufig, da man sich die Handskizzen sparen kann, von denen man spter manchmal nicht mehr genau wei wie es drum herum aussah. Den ein oder anderen Sturz hat das Messgert auch schon ohne Probleme berlebt, weswegen es eigentlich volle Punktzahl verdient htte. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass durch das etwas griffiger geformte Gehuse es manchmal schwer ist zu wissen ob der Messer wirklich richtig an- oder aufliegt. Besser gesagt es kippelt gefhlt immer etwas
Great tool for the job, app needs work
The unit is very well made, sturdy and incredibly user friendly.
The app however, is trash, editing is impossible, drawing walls is a terrible experience and the only remotely redeeming feature is that at least you don’t have to type in the measurements as they’re sent over bluetooth.
Furthermore, battery life when using bluetooth is appalling, and you will find yourself changing batteries far too often, for an app that really isn’t worth the hassle.
Buuuuut with that in mind, I still stand by the product. If you’re just looking for a good quality, reliable and accurate laser tape measure then you can’t go wrong. Just don’t buy it for the extra features because you really won’t end up using them.

Ich hatte bereits ein Vorgngermodell von Bosch und war mit diesem schon sehr zufrieden. Das Messgert macht was es soll, sie gut aus, ist robust und exakt, also ich kann es nur empfohlen und bin sehr zufrieden. Mein Vater hat es gesehen und hat sich sofort auch das Messgert bestellt.

Kompakt und Bedienerfreundlich
Das Gert ist einfach super, es ist kompakt und sehr intuitiv zu steuern. Die Mglichkeiten sind mittlerweile super. Ich hab eigentlich nur einen neuen Laser gesucht der mindestens 2 Messungen im Display behlt. Dieser Laser behlt 4 im Speicher, somit kann ich 2 Fenster hintereinander messen und muss nicht nach jedem Ma schreiben.
Der Laser ist im Gegensatz zu seinen Vorgngern fast immun gegen reflektierende Oberflchen wie agileren oder Poliertem Granit. Er misst sehr schnell und sehr genau. Die Aufrechnung oder das abziehen von Maen ist kinderleicht. Wer will kann die unendlichen Mglichkeiten nutzen. Ich brauch einfach ein kompaktes, schnelles und zuverlssiges Gert. Und das ist er definitiv. Mein nchster Laser ist garantiert wieder ein Bosch.

Das Gert tut was es soll. Einzig und allein der rote Messknopf nervt ein wenig, da dieser nicht immer reagiert, bzw die Taste teilweise bis zu einer Sekunde gehalten werden muss damit gemessen wird.
Alle Funktionen erfllen ihren Zweck. Von der Taste abgesehen habe ich keinerlei Kritikpunkte. Gut verarbeitet und misst auf einen Millimeter genau. Probleme mit der Batteriehaltbarkeit hatte ich jetzt nicht. Ich benutze aber auch wiederaufladbare Akkus, da strt mich das nicht weiter.
Plus fr die App, auch wenn diese teilweise ein wenig fummelig ist. Das Teil ist allerdings aber auch kompatibel zu Magicplan, einer weiteren (und mmn. besseren) Mess-App.
Poor battery life
The product is an excellent choice for anyone requiring a device for quick and accurate measurements, the only let down I found was the battery dies quite quickly which is very disappointing. After I was finished measuring out a 3 bed semi including doors and windows, the battery’s needed replacing.
Great tool
This works really well. Have been using it throughout a self build house extension along with ther ,ensuring tools – have found to be really accurate and easy to use. Don’t think I’ve used all the functions but it has many easy to use ones – have used both indoors and out doors on fence installations and works really well.
If your after a laser measure can’t go wrong with this – easy to use, well made, robust and compact.

Keine Ahnung ab wann sowas zu teurer ist. Ich wollte Qualitt, also habe ich mich fr Bosch entschieden, ohne zu wissen ob es einen genauso guten gnstigen Hersteller gibt.
Habe mich also darauf eingestellt mehr auszugeben und finde dieses Gert ist das Geld wert. Habe nichts zu meckern. Es tut das, was es soll. Ob es das Geld wert ist muss jeder selbst wissen. Ein Maband und ne Wasserwaage tuen auch was sie sollen.

Pratico misuratore lase
Ho acquistato questo misuratore laser per necessit lavorative su medie distanze (10-20m), devo dire che lavora egregiamente e non ho riscontrato errori di misurazione. Come uso abbastanza intuitivo, ha un display a colori di ultima generazione, semplice gestire le impostazioni e decidere che funzione utilizzare. Esternamente sembra pi solido di altri modelli Bosch che si avvicinano al costo. Sono soddisfatto.
Laser measure tool that works.
Gone are the days of not so accurate laser measure tools, this tool from Bosch has put paid to that.
This laser measuring tool from Bosch comes from their Pro range, having used the cordless tools from the Pro range and knowing that they are quite rugged then I would assume the build quality of this laser measure would be equally tough within reason.
This tool comes with its own pouch with a belt loop and batteries (2xAAA).
This measure is simple to use but comes with a very thick instruction book all the same that covers all languages.
Using this laser measure is a breeze, it is simply amazing to use and then there’s the Bluetooth connectivity, this connects the measure to an app on your phone called Measuring Master, once this is installed you can use the measure tool to measure and then view and store measurements and even calculate area/m3 on the phone and then store the results, it really is a cracking feature that means this Laser measuring tool is head and shoulders about the cheap alternatives.
The OLED screen on the measure tool itself is clear and easy to understand, the menus are clear and understandable, I particularly like the mode that displays a measurement as a traditional tape measure, it is also accurate when double-checking it with a tape measure. The tool can also be used as an inclinometer that displays any angle in degrees. The tool can also be used as a level, a traditional ‘bubble’ can be displayed, the modes are comprehensive and complete. In the unit, calculations can be done when taking measurements and also stored for future reference, area and square metres are easy to measure and calculate.
To put it simply, you can buy these laser measuring tools quite cheap but this tool from Bosch looks, feels and performs like its price tag dictates and will also be accurate which is everything.

Super laser et hyper prcis. cran en couleur et avec des menus clairs, prcis et mme un mode de fonctionnement ! Hyper lger et d’une prcision redoutable. Beaucoup de menus et de possibilits. Quelques fonctionnalits indites comme le calcul de distances sur les angles et toutes les nouvelles fonctions indites !! Bref un incontournable pour un bricoleur pro ou du dimanche. As a standalone laser measuring device this one is great. Bosch has produces an uncompromising, functional, measuring tool that ticks a lot of boxes.
You get accuracy, the measurements from this device is spot on form 50 cm or 50m away. I have used a cheaper laser measuring tool that does not produce the same accuracy.
Functions. Not only does it measure, lengths, areas, volumes, angles, the display is clear with great contrast in all lighting situations, and it stores your last 30 measurements.
The clincher is the *measureon* app. Now I would not blame you if you don’t expect much from an app for a measuring tool, but I would wager that a huge chunk of the asking price is well worth it for the measure on app itself.
Not only does the app allow you to sketch floor plans, add photos and notes, but the data is easily exported to .jpg or .pdf, It is also really easy to use even on a smallish mobile phone.
This this feels rugged, logged rugged, and have survived at least 2 falls where I was sure it would be damaged.
Inclinometer is very accurate once calibrated
Out of the box the Inclinometer is 0.7 out however once calibrated that goes down to 0.1, which is extremely good for this price point given that it’s an add on feature of the laser measure.
Calibration is very simple and quick via the menu system.
Product quality
Yes,for building survey and engineering woks. We have to handle like an egg when you repalace the batteries. We don’t keep them in show room. We take them to the site work. Manufacturers should undrstand the basic things in order satisfy the cutomers. Also, pouch is too small and very tight. Did they know, how meny times we open the pouch during our working hours !!!
If they can correct the mistakes I will give 5 stars.

Umfangreiche Messungen recht einfach und schnell erfasse
Wie von Bosch gewohnt, ist auch dieses Gert gut verarbeitet. Es fhlt sich direkt nach einem professionellen Arbeitsgert an, der Spielzeugcharakter mancher Billigalternativen fehlt zum Glck.
Die Handhabung ist schnell erlernt, die Anleitung dazu ist uerst hilfreich. Die App-Anbindung (bei uns iOS) war auch kein Problem. Etwas unschn ist allerdings, dass man fr die Pro-Version der App nochmal extra zahlen muss. Vielen Nutzern wird aber die kostenlose Variante ausreichen.
Zum praktischen Nutzen des Gerts muss man wohl nicht viele Worte verlieren – so ein Ding kauft man sich ja nicht zum Spass, sondern weil man professionell bzw. hufige Raummessungen vornehmen muss. Und dazu knnen wir das Bosch-Helefrlein uneingeschrnkt empfehlen!
Feature packed
Straight out of the box (after you’ve removed it from it’s carry pouch), the unit feels well made and has a nice tactile feel due to the rubber casing which also aids it’s stated drop protection rating of 1.5 metres (untested as of yet!). After installing the two supplied AA’s, the unit was quickly powered on and I was greeted with a nice bright colour screen with decent viewing angles. The interface is fairly intuitive and it presents itself as a circular array of icons that you can scroll around and then drill down further if a function allows it. It will take a bit of time for it to embed into your memory but after that, it’s plain sailing.
Selecting a tool also lets you call up a simple help function that basically tells you what to do via a slide show of still images. It’s very basic but it works and definitely helps if your scratching your head from the somewhat scant manual. Speaking of which, my heart sank when I saw the thickness of the manual after removing it from the box, with me thinking that I had a lot of homework to do. As it turns out, it’s just a multi lingual affair that only runs to a few pages really.
So onto the function themselves and this unit really packs in the features. The default tool on first use is the standard distance measure tool which is probably going to be one of the most used. This comes with a super helpful digital level indicator so you know your completely flat level when you take your reading. You’ll get an audio cue and vibration feedback when the reading is taken, so even in a noisy environment, you’ll know it’s finished which is very handy as you’ll sometimes be focusing on where your pointing at rather than the screen. The unit also offers a continuous distance measure feature which lets you move the unit around with it indefinitely giving you the distance readings between the two points. Something to note within the options – you can set the point at which the unit takes it’s measurement from, so either the rear, centre or front of the unit which will should cover all eventualities.
You also get a two dimensional area measure, a three dimensional volume measure and with all these functions, you get a little graphic telling you what dimension to measure next followed by the calculated result after measuring them. Moving on, you have a spirit level that comes in two modes. Flat on it’s back, the screen will display a wide circle with a small blip inside that which rolls around depending on the pitch of the unit. If you’ve ever seen a g-force display from F1, it looks just like that. Turning the unit on it’s side then switches into a more traditional angle tilt measurement in degrees – it’s very nifty indeed!
Then we have the indirect (Pythagorean) measurements of length or height which as the name suggests let’s you measure a distance when you physically can’t do so using the standard straight distance function. There is a third mode ‘double indirect’ which measures a subset of the distance, again all with graphic prompts should you need them.
I didn’t unfortunately get an opportunity to test the Bluetooth enabled app as I don’t have a applicable device (I’m a dinosaur) so can’t offer any information on this aspect I’m afraid.
Maybe not applicable to many users but you can also purchase two extra accessories – a rechargeable battery pack and a tripod which screws into the relevant mounting thread on the underside of the unit.
So to conclude – It’s obviously a professional tool with a respective price to match, but if your needing to rely on a tool to give quick and accurate readings then this would be solid consideration especially if your going to be taking measurement day in, day out. Definitely a much quicker alternative to walking around with a very long tape measure!
Bosch those measurements with ease
Most people have heard of the Bosch name and have used at least one thing made by Bosch, with most, if not all products branded Bosch being well made and do exactly what they are supposed to and this product is no exception, so don’t let the size fool you.
This is small, 120mm by 60mm by 30mm thick with a 2 inch screen. But even though the screen is only 2 inches everything on it is easily readable and tells you exactly what it’s supposed to do.
When you start using it it can look a little complicated, flicking through the many options, from squared sizes to straight lines, distance measurements and even a spirit level too. With each measurement clearly shown on the screen.
Using it is simple, find the setting you want using the buttons on the front, then press the red triangle below the screen. The bleep then tells you a measurement has been taken. (depending on what settings you’ve chosen depends on how many bleep you hear)
It’s that simple.
You can even set to use the length of the unit in the measurement or not, so you don’t have to fiddle about trying to get the front end of the device where you want the measurement to start. Simply rest the bottom of the device on the start point and the length it taken into account.
It takes 2 AA batteries, supplied and can be bluetoothed up to your phone using the “measure on” app from the app store. (Don’t scan the QR code if you’re using google play as it tells you there’s no app as yet — just go to google play and input “measure me” app.
This comes with a good, strong carry pouch which has a strong Velcro belt loop to hold it in place. Plus a wrist strap.
This is well made, strong and light and can take some punishment, although try not to drop it on the screen as it’s not so tough there.
In all, a cracking little device which makes measuring long distances a breeze, and well worth the money.
5 star professional tool but App let's it down by a notch
As you can expect from one of the market leaders, Bosch has built this tool to professional specs, in my opinion. This laser measure has everything a professional tradesman would need. It measures distance from the tip of the tool or from the back. Using it, you can measure distance, area, volume of various shapes. You can measure the distance continuously, as you move the tool.
It also measures the angle of tilt and shows spirit leveller which I think is a cool feature as small change in angle can result in wrong reading.
It has Bluetooth using which you can pair it with your phone and use Bosch MeasureOn app to capture and save dimensions of floor and rooms. I am not happy with the App at all, I wasted 30+ minutes measuring the floor of a room. The room has few tight corner or cuts, I drew it on the app and saved. But when I opened it, the App had messed it up (like a corner was missing all together).
The build quality is top notch. It edges are protected with rubber. It is IP65 rated so the casing protects the internals against water and dust which one would encounter on build site. It comes with a pouch (to put on belt) and hand strap.
It is a small device but very useful and powerful. In my opinion, it is a top-level professional tool. The only let down is the accompany App.
An Exacting Professional Tool
Any measure, whatever it is for, needs to be accurate, otherwise it is useless. I have always preferred to spend a bit more on tapes etc and alway prefer to use the one tape on each job – just in case. For once I can happily say that an electronic device can be labelled professional simply because it does exactly what it is designed for and in a way that is as accurate as anyone could possibly want. For me this is perfect.
I may only be a DIYer, but I do like to get it right (first time whenever possible) and feel as if I have done as good a job as a lot of professionals and consequently use, whenever possible, professional equipment, which is why I have given this Bosch Professional Laser Measure the full 5 stars. It isn’t cheap but if you want/need quality which will give you brilliant accurate results then it will inevitably cost more.

Intuitive. Superb quality
What a beauty! I’ve been using a laser distance measure for some time now. My latest one was also an Amazon purchase but at just 15% of the cost of the Bosch! However, quality is everything. I downloaded the Bosch Measuring Master app, even though it doesn’t have favourable reviews on the App store. I must say I had no issues with it.
The user manual is typical of items these days — tiny print — so I downloaded the user manual from the web in PDF format. It’s easier to have on my phone or iPad. It’s a Bluetooth connection anyway and I never had any problems there. I found the measuring of area and volume relatively easy using the app. It’s like all bits of technology — you just have to get used to it. In fact the whole thing is quite intuitive. You draw the shape of the room on the app with your finger and it clicks into place (see movie clip). As you then measure distances the diagram adjusts accordingly and the measurements are read out loud by the app. It’s good!
There is a system to compensate for tilt, you can use a tripod if you want to (it has the fittings) and it can measure a host of things (distance, area, volume, Pythagorean angles etc) as well as being used as a spirit level. All your computations are automatically stored so it really is a great bit of kit. Finally the carry pouch it comes in is great quality and will offer a decent level of protection.
It’s expensive but for the true professional it’s priceless.
I have used the red laser version of this product for just over a month on site in place of one of my older laser measures that I am passing down to a mate starting out, I have the following information for you.
Construction: Obviously this is a big factor working on site, your tools need to be tough enough to withstand the knocks, I have gotten away with mine falling off of a few saw horses onto concrete without any issues, there is enough plastic to keep the screen safe. The box says IP65 dust and water jet protection, I can vouch for the dust proofing but I haven’t yet dunked it into my tea so time will tell.
I have particularly enjoyed going back to a device that has buttons instead of a touch screen as my gloves rendered a touch screen pretty much useless.
software: The Bosch app is so far proving to be very useful for measuring out a room and saving the data to my phone, this cuts down on wastage from over ordering materials or scratching my head looking at a scribbled not at the builders merchants, bluetooth connectivity works fine with my aging galaxy phone.
Use: this has a max range of 50 Meters and a minimum of 50CM, So far I have found it to be absolutely bang on, the box says a + or – of 1.5mm, Placing the base of the measure against a flat surface and firing the laser gets perfect results, just make sure the wall you are aiming at has no curvature to it. The device will map volume as well, all very clever and intuitive with a little bit of experimentation. I particularly like the measure hold function which will allow you to set the measure to a distance specified by yourself (similar to just locking out a conventional tape at a set distance) this is very handy and saves me walking over or knocking a conventional tape. One feature I enjoy using is the spirit level function which has so far been great for putting up shelves , there is also an inclinometer in degrees.
As a side note this does have a battery display readout which is helpful addition that saves me trekking back to the van for batteries mid job.
Accessories: You get a set of batteries to get you started, a wrist lanyard and a decent pouch to keep things safe when not in use. The user guide is fine there is also a help function on the device.
I am really happy with mine, it does everything I want it to quickly and accurately, The app and software are also really clever and not just a gimmick.

Perfect for the professional surveyor or estate age
Obviously priced for professional use, this has a huge amount of functionality especially when paired with the Bosch Measuring Master app.
The downside of packing so many features is that the 20 English pages of the thick multi-language manual are printed in a small font on flimsy paper. Nevertheless, to get the best from the unit you’ll need to take some time to read up. Fortunately the simplest use of measuring lengths is just one button. I found repeated measurements would only vary +/- 0.001mm.
When linked to the app, which was very simple by Bluetooth, you can record dimensions for rooms in a property, calculate quantities etc. The unit supports calculating area and volume. The unit does have on-screen help menus for these functions, but it’s simpler using the app and transferring each dimension measure for rooms from the unit.
The screen on the device is bright and clear, even outdoors. Resolution is akin to a feature phone from a years back. The user interface is pretty simple, needing only a few button to spin around the menus and select.
I found that taking measurements indoors was very simple as you can see the laser. Outdoors in the daytime, I could see the laser out to about 10 m. I was able to get measurement outdoors to 20m with the unit handheld, beyond that I think you’d need to tripod to steady the unit. There’s a standard tripod thread mount in the unit.
Other functions such as tilt and level worked fine.
The unit feels robust for job-site use with rubberised protection all around the case which also help with grip. There’s no marking on wallpaper etc. from placing the unit.
2xAA batteries (supplied) power this rather than USB re-chargeable.
All in all, if you need a measuring tool which has pretty much everything, has a real quality feel and a supporting app then this is recommended. Just set aside some time to become familiar with the unit and app before using on a job-site!

a great bit of kit even if i,m not 100% sure how to use all its features just yet. It even has a spirit level built in a very nice touch.

I’m a surfacing foreman for probably the most well known surfacing company in the uk , predominantly nightshift , use the Glm50 c for taking average widths of carriageway , so I can calculate tonnage required for site. take widths on the Glm 50 c then download them and either send them to my phone or tablet through excel and excel works it out within a few clicks . Usually I’d have to take a width every 10metres write it down in a book, add them all together manually (time consuming) then get an average from there , the accuracy is bang on and it makes my job 10times easier , cracking bit of kit , highly recommended
Der neue Bosch GLM 50-27C Entfernungsmesser, in der Roten-Laservariante ist super verarbeitet. Es ist schn robust gebaut und an allen Seiten schn gummiert, so dass er immer sicher in der Hand liegt. Es ist auch noch eine Handschlaufe mitgeliefert, welche verwendet werden kann.
An sich ist der Entfernungslaser fr den Funktionsumfang kompakt gebaut. Vor allem finde ich gut, dass auf ein Touch Display verzichtet wurde und auf eine reine Tastenbedienung gesetzt wurde. Denn wenn man Handschuhe an hat, kann man ihn immer noch super bedienen.
Die Menfhrung ist sehr intuitiv und wenn man den Laser quer hlt, wird auch noch eine Anleitung fr die verschieden Modi angezeigt. Dies ist praktisch, wenn man keine Anleitungen lesen will.
Zudem besitzt der Laser auch noch einen Vibrator und ein Signalton, welche bei erfolgreicher Messung auslsen, wen das strt, der kann das auch im Men deaktivieren.
Mein einziger Kritikpunkt ist der Display Typ, denn fr 180 kann man schon ein etwas hochauflsenderes Display verbauen. Beim verbauten Display kann man nmlich die einzelnen Pixel sehen, jedoch ist es dafr sehr Betrachtungswinkel stabil (man erkennt was, wenn man schrg drauf schaut).
Das Gert kann man auch per Bluetooth mit der Messure On App verbinden, dies geschieht problemlos. Jedoch ist die App noch sehr ausbaufhig, diese soll aber angeblich bald ein Update bekommen (Stand 11.02.21).
Fazit: Also mit diesem Laser kann man nichts falsch machen, denn er ist fr alle Verhltnisse ausgerstet/geschtzt. Ich kann diesen Laser nur wrmstens weiter empfehlen.
A simple way to get accurate measurements for your DIY projects
This is the first laser measure I have owned, and I’m impressed with the basic features (I’ve not tried the full feature set for recording measurements). It is lightweight but feels solidly built, and works straight out of the box using the included 2xAAA batteries. It accurately takes measurement from a variety of surfaces and can be set to measure from the back, front or middle of the device with a dedicated button for this setting.
I have checked the measurements with a tape measure to ensure it was calibrated correctly and it is accurate (Bosch quote a tolerance of +/- 1.5mm which is fine for most applications). The screen is clear, easy to read and displays the angle you are holding the device. Navigating the menu is straight forward (read the manual for what each icon represents) using the Function key and left and right arrows.
Pairing the Bluetooth to my phone was easy. I have not used the Bosch app but have used another floor planning app and the measurements transfer seamlessly to that. The storage pouch is a nice extra.
Excellent for domestic work, not so good for professional use.
I have been using professional grade Bosch and Leitz laser measures for more than 20 years, usually costing in the 250 plus range.
My work is indoors and in a lot of large, open, warehouse buildings and range is important to me.
This light, inexpensive and compact unit with bluetooth enabling you to easily draw layouts is excellent for measuring in office and domestic environments, for area and volume functions and the inclinometer is useful. Drawing is reasonably straightforward.
My main criticism is difficulties measuring against cladding. Whilst my Leitz can be difficult when measuring off a galvanised surface, this Bosch is also difficult when measuring off a white metal composite cladding surface.
This affects quite a few of my surveys, so I find myself using both lasers, which wasn’t the idea, and undermines the drawing aspect.
A pity for me as otherwise it’s a great tool, great for use at home, for tradesmen and estate agents, as long as surfaces that the laser is targetted at have a low level of reflectance.
Great little device, but a few niggles..
I was divided about getting this or a Leica Disto… on paper this device gives more bang for the buck, so to speak…
And overall it is a very good tool, especially when used with something like the Magicplan App..
I have to recommend a 3rd party app as the Bosch Measure and Go is awful in practically every way…
Another minor niggle, is that when measuring from the base, the device doesn’t sit perfectly flat against the surface, it tilts slightly towards the front which can be an annoyance and quite a bizarre issue to have considering. It also doesn’t have the ‘corner flap’ as found with some other devices…
A brilliant addition to my measuring tools se
This is hands down the best addition to my measuring tools set and it has made my life much easier, it takes a bit of getting used to and is in no way intended to replace the measuring tape altogether but can make otherwise awkward measurements infinitely easier and quicker to make.
The memory function is useful for quality control to ensure things are lined up properly and the level feature is very good for precision work.
I’ve unfortunately been forced to use it in the rain a number of times which I had hoped to avoid and it is still working fine so it is definitely at least partially rain proof but I wouldn’t depend on that.
Overall I couldn’t be anymore happy with this product, I suppose the price is the only issue, close to a 100 GBP is quite expensive but well worth it if you’re going to use it daily.
Awesome device
As a keen DIY’er I wanted to purchase a device for projects such as fascia, guttering and new doors. It’s been invaluable and so much more convenient than using a tape measure. Accuracy is great and the ability to take photos and overlay measurements is convenient and helpful. If mine ever broke, I’d buy another in a heartbeat!
Don't go cheap
I bought a cheap laser measure and it was inaccurate, even with adjustment. Got this and I am amazed at how accurate it is and great it is to use. If you are wondering wether to buy cheap or buy proper, buy proper!
Great measuring device
Excellent and really versatile measuring tool. The bluetooth linked free floorplan software is very difficult to use on a smartphone screen, and not available for windows pc, so get yourself a 10″ tablet minimum if you plan on doing floorplans with it as well. The software itself is also very good.
Compact and advanced
I’ve been using a previous version of this for many years, which has been really handy, but very basic by comparison to this new one. First thing to note is that this is a very compact and light unit, much smaller than I was expecting, which is a good thing. It has a nice bright easy to reed colour screen. There’s a good range of useful features, but without being over the top with modes. Everything is easily understood. I like that it does continuous measurement if you want, as well as a snapshot. The built in spirit level is really handy. You can measure at an angle, and the device compensates, giving you a true horizontal or virtical measurement. One mode is handy for laying out studwork or rafters, ie set 400mm and it will show you when your at 400mm,800mm,1200mm…
Not done much with the App yet, but it looks handy linked to a tablet, to create room plans. I’ll be trying that out when I plan my kitchen.

Measure is not bad I have been unable to transfer data using blue tooth on all devices I own the app is useless the videos and adverts are misleading on its uses and capabilities
Bosch Measuring Master app = Awful. But 3rd party app saved the day.
I bought this to use with the Bosch Measuring Master app.
The GLM 50 C works perfectly. However, the Measuring Master app was so poor that I initiated a return of the GLM 50 C. The combination simply did not achieve what I needed.
Then, before I sent it off, I discovered a 3rd party app (also free) that works brilliantly with the GLM 50 C – result: I cancelled my return and am very happy that I kept the GLM 50 C.
It now achieves all that I need.
Bought this to replace my Bosch PLR50C laser measure, which worked brilliantly for a little over a year and a half… and then I went to use it one day and the laser dot was blurred, there was a rattling noise inside (opened it up – seeing as it was out of warranty – to discover the focusing lens had come unglued) and consequently it was unable to measure anything.
I thought I’d replace it for what appears to be the ‘Professional’ version as it was not considerably more expensive. On first appearances, it looks slightly smaller, it has a more rugged case, has more physical buttons (the PLR had a touchscreen) and it looks has mostly all the same functionality.
Where it really scores over the PLR for me is that you can change the working units on this to feet and inches whereas the PLR only measured in metric (metres to three decimal places). You also have the option of mounting this on a tripod. And you can have a ‘bubble level’ permanently displayed along with the measurement which is really useful.
It has a few more measuring modes over the PLR, such as ‘incline height’, ‘wall area’ and ‘stake out’, all of which work reasonably well… as does the app, when I tried them out of curiosity… although in all honesty, I have less of a need for these functions so can’t really comment on their real effectiveness.
Overall, I am really impressed. Beyond basic measuring, It’s a definite step up from the DIY version. I only hope it doesn’t suffer the same problem with the dislodged laser focusing lens.

This is a review of the Bosch Professional Laser Measure GLM 50 C.
This was purchased as a bit of a luxury – I only use it as a DIY’er, not a professional, so it took me a while to justify the expense to myself. I’ve used it quite a bit over measurement lengths of up to 5m, and it’s accuracy and consistency is excellent. It’s got a load of functions that I will never use as an occasional DIY’er, but that doesn’t matter. What was important to me was adequate accuracy for my needs and it certainly delivers that.
Highly recommended.
Great value tool
Item is small but nice in the hand, plenty of information in the multi language booklet plus online, case good as is the rubber edges on the GLM 50C but in this pack there are NO laser target cards as some packages do have them not a deal breaker just print your own, overall a great little thing to have in your toolbox & at this price it’s worth having, I’m not sure I’ll have one if I had to pay full retail though.

Bosch, so what more can I say. This unit has many features and many more than I need on a daily basic which is for basic length measurement but it can do so much more, maybe one day I will open its hidden strengths.
Impressive
I bought this for use indoors. It is very easy to use straight out of the box, saves me time on every measurement, is dead on accurate with every measurement and the laser is very clear. It feels well built and despite being indoors I am on a site where the indoors isn’t completely waterproof and there is a lot of dust. This hasn’t affected it at all. It takes around a second to turn on and is easy to use intuitively (I am embarrassingly poor with technology). Great unit at a good price
Time saver and easy to use.
Worth spending a bit more for this version. Used to take floor plan and other measurements during house refurbishment. Saved a lot of time and effort. Don’t think I shall ever stop using a tape for total trust of measurements but I gave 5 stars as accuracy well in excess for the first job I used it for.
Brilliant and easy to use
More accurate than a ruler and easily capable of measuring 30m+ in conjunction with a laser target in bright sunlight.
Pen and paper required if you need more than 5 measurements. The bosch app (connects via bluetooth) is OK for simple rooms, but when you get alcoves etc, I can’t be bothered and use good old paper. Works really well for inclination too – should have bought one years ago, but experience of a cheap one put me off – this won’t – it’s well worth the extra money. Battery life is good for my needs.
Highly accurate pocket sized laser measurer.
Great quality bit of kit and reliably accurate, battery seems to last forever, very handy to have in your tool bag.
No faults to highlight, it just works straight of the box, the only thing I would say is that the manual is poor at explaining how some of the more advanced measuring features work, other than this it’s a perfect measuring tool for work up to 60m.
I have been very impressed with this laser measure. Compared with the 10+ years old Stanley TLM 130 it replaced, it is compact, lightweight and quicker to take readings. I particularly appreciate the better battery life and the inclusion of a tripod mount on the back.
I regularly use laser measures to check construction drawings against new and existing building interiors and also to take site measurements/quantities for estimate preparation where drawings are not available.
The red laser is clearly visible indoors, but I would not recommend this particular model for predominantly outdoor work. I would have liked the GLM50C to have a wrist strap to reduce accidental drops. Mine remains unscathed after a couple of unintended drops onto hard concrete but I don’t think it is claimed to be “rugged”.
The GLM50C comes with an elasticated cloth belt case which is quite adequate. Initially, the device felt a bit slow to power up (actually just over 1 sec), but this may be no bad thing. I’ve not noticed any problems with accidental power-ons that constantly drained the TLM130’s battery.
The GLM50C takes two standard AAA batteries that are simple to replace however I’ve found that rechargeable batteries work very well.
The rotatable colour display is very clear and the functions are intuitive and very easy to use but the standout feature is the bluetooth connectivity which enables measurements to be recorded remotely via a smartphone/tablet app.
That said, the App (I’ve only tried the Android version 1.6.0) is incredibly frustrating. I know the bar for this type of App is pretty low, but considering this device has “Professional” and “Bosch” on the front, I hoped for better.
The quick sketch floor plan builder is almost impossible to use on a small screen and even simple edit attempts result in insane (*) layouts being created. The app is (sometimes) easier to use with a tablet, but in practice I’ve found this a bit cumbersome out on site.
There are bugs in the wall measurement functions (used to enter wall elevations), with the app insisting that an entered dimension must be wrong (eg a door opening, which the app considered wider than the wall).
The ability to put dimensions directly onto a photo should be very useful, but this implementation is poor. Dimensions are difficult to position accurately and quite often one end of the dimension will stubbornly remain off screen. The magnified view of the target point “under your finger” would be great if it didn’t stray out of sight so often.
Frankly, the only useful part of the App for me is the simple measurement entry/storage/export. Single measurements can be initiated by either the GLM50C or from the App and ultimately exported as xls or pdf. Each measurement entry (grouped into a Project) is date/time stamped and can be renamed, although there’s no facility to record GPS location nor select from (for example) predefined room names and measurement types which would have been so easy to implement.
The GLM50C can store up to 30 previous measurements internally and this is plenty in my experience. This limitation does not apply to measurements stored with the App. The internal measurements are retained after a power-off and will even survive a battery swap.
Tip: If you do decide to get a GLM50C, get yourself a cheap selfie-stick with a 1/4 inch standard screw mount to attach the GLM50C. Having greater reach and not having to press the button on the device makes all the difference. With practise taking measurements (via the smartphone app) will be simpler and quicker – even if it won’t actually replace handwritten survey notes.
Back to the GLM50C itself, there was really only one negative that I think will impact on the measurements I regularly need to take: I do wish it had a flip-out end-piece (like the Leica Distos) to allow taking diagonal dimensions into corners (especially since the GLM50C has a max/min function that’s ideal for measuring into room corners!)
The built-in functions are quite comprehensive (some seem more suited for “outdoor” measurement, so may not be used much), although I do wish that a 3D point-to-point measurement facility was provided somewhere in the range.
Overall, although the current App is a bit rubbish, the GLM50C is thoroughly recommended as an “indoor” measurement device.
(* I wanted to say Escher worthy, but that’s a bad example – the App can’t do stairs of any sort.)
Brilliant bit of ki
This a brilliant bit of kit which I wish I’d bought some time ago. I bought it originally to measure replacing fencing but have used it so much more since it first arrived. The only downside is it’s not good outside in daylight but I guess that’s when the receiver comes in, at an extra cost.

Excellent value on Amazon Black Friday.
Small footprint and very light so fits in pocket very easily. Has a lot of functions and is very easy to get to grips with. As mentioned by others I wish it date stamped the memorized measurements it would make identifying them so much easier. I noticed battery life wasn’t brilliant so fitted a couple of professional rechargeable Eneloop AAA battery’s which improved battery life enormously.
Currently fitting new wooden floors plus skirting boards, trim around windows and curtain rails (and doing the wife’s job of shortening the curtains) and fed up with trying to stop my tape measure bending in the middle, coming unhooked, etc. If you have ever had to measure more than half a metre you will know what I mean !!
Saw this little gadget on a deal and saw the accuracy of 1 mm and thought that’s good enough for everything I want. In fact a lot better than I get trying to hold the tape straight. How right I was.
My first thought after delivery was “It’s a bit heavy”. Turned out that was the manual. After the panic over a manual about 40mm thick. I then discovered it was in about 25 languages and the English was a few, not really needed, pages as its all a bit obvious. Just turn it on, point the laser and read the distance. Quick, easy and really accurate. A bonus is not having to write down or try to remember the measurement when I go into the garden to cut boards. Just read it off the display.
OK, Once software gets involved all sorts of clever options are available such as area, volume, indirect (clever) measurements which are possible to work out without the manual but if all else fails and you are male, go somewhere private and look at the manual. I am just happy that I can take straight line measurements without needing my wife to hold the end of the tape. Oh and of course there is an “app’. I have downloaded it but not used it yet.
The bottom line is that it’s useful, accurate, easy to use and easy to keep in tool box. I probably would not have paid full price but now I have used it the full price is worth the expenditure. It does not replace my tape measure but its a really useful addition.

When it comes to laser distance meters, this one excels
I’ve used some chinsey ones before and regretted it when I found things didn’t fit as expected. This bosch unit is very accurate even over longer distances. The feature where it can measure between two points on a wall just by pointing it at them is genuinely awesome.
I going to say that i have been looking for measurement tools for 2 weeks now an i saw a few, but the Bosch was very expensive, brought a cheap one for 21.99 and it could not recharge and the laser measurement was very wrong. Started looking at the Bosch 50c and check a lot of reviews so i brought it. I work in fabrication so i need a measuring tool with a very low tolerance level and this boy seem to have done the trick. My work tolerance level is 1mm, This measure works with angles and have a great spirit level also with control of back measurement and front measurement of the device, also have a brilliant colour display clear clean numbers recognition.
The Bosch app which i download on Tab S am still running test on it still, just the let you know i use this GLM 50c every day for my work and still testing it out from my measuring tape which the Bosch keeps up with. It will take me over 3 months before I can actually trust the Borsch to take over from the tape measure but so far it’s been accurate. This is over 1 month and a week now, even the welders ask me to borrow GLM 50c for checking there angles even though they have the tools. this device is 9 things roll up in one and it’s very good so far. Forget the price ‘just buy it’.
This is amazing when linked with the Bosch Floor Plan App. It’s advisable to watch a few videos of how the app linked to the measure can works for your trade. I was using the Bosch laser measure without Bluetooth which is fine but you then put your notes on paper

This way you can see you have all your measurements at a glance Do the quick drawer 1st then send to your email. Then convert to detailed and you add doors windows sockets etc even slopping ceilings is a breeze. And you can even put the Bosch down say to measure hight. You can press your iPhone to measure so no more being on the floor looking up etc it is amazing when linked to the iPhone and it does so many other thinks in functions which for me the level is useful

Yes, the app can be hit and miss, but I didn’t purchase this to use this app necessarily as I have my own work flow. The device feels incredibly well made, it’s very simple to use and measurements are fast and very accurate. If you’re looking for a professional class laser measure then this is the device you should get.
Has very consistent measurements..Whats great is that it stores last 3 measures on screen, so you can quickly measure a few things, or if your hand is unsteady, see which is the best. 30 measures are also stored in the system..
Area calculation is quick and convenient. Several ways of operation..
The extra menus for area, repeat measures, pythagoras etc. are easy to reach..

Does everything it says it does pretty well. It does struggle a little outside over distance, but the use of a target paddle and tripod/monopod negates that.
It’s very accurate and easy to use, unlike the app which I found to be clunky and barely useable.
A great laser measuring tool for Pro's and Amateurs
A brilliant product by Bosch. I am totally immersed in using this product around my house and any job that requires measurements. It is very easy to understand and use. very quick access to all the features. having hard buttons is a plus point as it helps to access the features rapidly. Being a professional product the housing is touch with rubber protection, which also helps for grip. I would fully recommend this product to professionals and enthusiasts.
Excellent laser measuring device , bought it due to reviews I had read regarding the colour screen clarity I wasn’t disappointed.

If your a general builder, fencer, landscaper, roofer, or estate agent this tool will do you proud. The accuracy is excellent, the built in level is a great addition and for the user the functions are quite intuitive.
I also own a Leica disto 110 and I have to say the bosh glm50 is the one I prefer to use and will only use the Bosch when doing house floor plans.
I often research stuff beyond the point of anal. If your a professional don’t think just buy it!
