The Brother FS100WT is an electronic sewing and quilting machine featuring 100 stitches, perfect for dress making, home furnishings, free motion embroidery and quilting. It’s suitable for the advanced sewer, but also if you’re new to sewing and want a feature packed machine. It comes with an extra wide table and free motion embroidery foot. The Start/ Stop button and slide speed control enable you to control the machine with your hands. There’s a needle threader and a quick set drop in bobbin and an automatic bobbin winder. The 7 x 1 step button holes allow you to sew perfect button holes of different sizes, whilst the lettering allows you to add names or tags to your projects. Stitch length and width control make the machine even easier to use. An LED light means that you never need to replace it, and your threads are not discoloured by the yellow sheen of a traditional bulb.

Great value!
I got this machine using split payments through Amazon and it was great to spread the cost. the machine itself is wonderful. It is so easy to operate and if you have previous knowledge of sewing machines its a great next step up from entry level machines, with all the stitches you could possibly want/need. I would not recommend for heavy duty sewing such as for bag making where you are sewing through PU leather or similar but as an embroidery machine it excels! I use it for free motion embroidery, quilting (both for the patchwork and the quilting of the finished quilt), and even have done garment sewing on it. I would recommend, even at full price.

Love my new machine
A good all round machine which does an array of stitching! My only downfall is that the threading up on it is not plain sailing as my other sewing machine… I also thought that the thread holder seems a bit flimsy ..
L’ho ordinata domenica mattina ed arrivata luned alle 13! Completa di tutto, aghi, spolette, piedini, prolunga ecc. Istruzioni, complete, rapide ed anche su dvd e tutte in varie lingue compreso l’italiano. Facilissima da usare fin da subito. Adatta sia a chi gi cuce che a chi sta imparando. Occhielli, bordure e scritte sono diventate facili e divertenti. Sono veramente soddisfatta.
Does the job
This is not a bad machine but there are a few things I’m not too keen on such as the buttonholing which isn’t good enough as it doesn’t seem to seal the buttonholes properly so I have had to revert to my old manual machine.

Bought this about 2 months ago as a follow on machine from my very basic machine and it is fantastic. I just love the smoothness, needle threading and ease of use. I struggle with a foot pedal so using a button is excellent. My only criticism is the case, rubbish fit and dont make the mistake ofremoving the polystyrene in the case, it’s supposed to be there. Really great machine

Very clear instructions for use, this is the first machine I have owned and I found it easy to set up.
I am a complete beginner this is my first sewing machine. I was at first a bit worried that I perhaps should have got a manual machine to start with, as this might be a bit too advanced for a real newbie. But I unpacked read the quick start up guide (10 min read) then I set it up, within an hour I had felt like a pro, I am still learning as it has lots of stitches and features, that I haven’t yet tried, but I have had lots of fun making simple things, and I am confident that the more complex things will be simple to master with a few practice runs. I have wanted a sewing machine for ages, and was advised to buy a cheap manual machine, but this one looked more exciting, so I pondered for a while if I was trying to run before I could walk, but in the end I just went for it. So whether you’re a beginner or a pro, this machine is brilliant and I am so happy with it, I would say to anyone to take the plunge and get this machine you certainly won’t be disappointed, the automatic needle threader works fine, but a bit fiddly, so I have used it but find it just as easy to thread the needle manually, but it does have this feature if you wish to use it. And in my research on sewing machines the Brother make seemed to be in the top 3, so I assumed it was a good make, and I have been proved right.

Fantastic machine. My old Brother machine was 14 years old. This new machine has really come a long way. It is amazing. I cannot stop using it. Would recommend it. Delivery time b was amazing too.

Bought this machine and I am thrilled with it. For my needs, which are more crafting, than clothes, it works a treat. Easy to set up, fairly intuitive and has cemented my love of sewing
Wish I hadn’t procrastinated for so long
Good machine but plastic inners.
Had this machine for just under four years, the last year it has been noisy, very clanky and thuddy. This weekend it ground to a halt. The inner arm mechanisms are made of plastic and they have ground away over the years and on my last project warmed up and caused the machine to totally freeze. Will cost to much to repair so will end up as landfill 🙁 if you want a good machine for a few years this is for you, if you can do a few hundred pounds more upgrade. Overall I have been very happy with the machine, it has helped me to create some beautiful outfits.

Premire machine coudre et pas du. Tout est expliqu pour une bonne utilisation, trs lgre et ne fait pas beaucoup de bruit.

Efficient Machine
This is my second Brother machine. I compared many other machines before returning to brother. I have upgraded my old one which has served me well for many years and made many quilting projects. However compared to this new edition it seems like a tank. I have familiarity but this is lighter quicker and has many added features to stimulate my creativity. Very happy and cannot wait to begin my next project. Excellent value for money.

Having worked in the textile industry, I have sewn on and off all my life with all kinds of sewing machines,
Now I mainly do mixed media textile artwork, needlefelting, appliqu and freemotion embroidery,
It is such a versatile machine, easy threading and bobbin change, so easy to use,
The only thing is the light, I think it could be a lot brighter and I wouldn’t have needed to use an extra clip on light to assist me.
Otherwise I would highly recommend this machine.

I bought this machine as an upgrade from a basic learners machine, and I couldn’t have chosen a better machine. I had a tight budget and was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to get a decent machine with my funds, but this beauty makes it so much easier, with top-loading bobbin, auto needle threader, digital display and a brilliant selection of functional, decorative and alphabetical stitches to use and the cherry on top…automatic button holes! Just line it up where you want it and pedal it! Can’t sing its praises enough!

I bought this as an upgrade to the basic brother machine and im glad I did it is so much smoother to use and I love the 1step button hole feature and the automatic needle threader. I found it slightly more difficult to thread than the basic one but it’s ok once you get used to it. I havent worked out how to use the letters yet but I’m sure I will when I need them

I love this new machine. The self-threading feature is really helpful (once you get the hang of it) as my eyesight is getting worse as I get older. The button for needle up or down is another great feature and the ability to change the speed of sewing. So many good things about this machine, it was well worth the price.
This is a great sewing machine, as soon as it was unboxed it got to work. It has excellent features that are extremely helpful, like the thread feeder, the led downlight over the presser foot, the variable speed adjust. Not to mention the 100 stitch selection.
Furthermore it made in Japan so reliability and quality can be assured.

I haven’t used this machine yet I’m a clothing technician is I no it ok
I got this as a present for my wife. She is just getting back into sewing now we have grandkids. It appears well made and gets lots of great reviews. The price I paid was easy the best on the net by 100 !!! The only gripe we have is the cover is a poor fit. It dosent actually attach, it just rests over the top of the machine. No big deal but be careful when moving it about.

Excellent so happy with this machine, took a little while to become familiar with all the stitches and the things it can do. Machine tells you what foot you need for your choice of stitch, as a Novice I found this very helpful.

Got this machine on offer on Amazon for 240, it was well worth the price. The instructional DVD was a welcome bonus along with a detailed instruction manual. It has a wide range of automated fancy stitches and embroidery stitching. Easy to thread and very easy to use. The machine is very light & easy to transport, a lovely little machine and well worth my change from the Singer range of machines. It comes with a hard cover which eliminates the need for a carry bag. It has a thread-cutter and semi-automatic needle threader which works very well. There is also a table attachment.
Had the brother about a month , absolutely love it , made 2 quilts and Christmas table mats and runners . Easy to use , easy to thread , light . never made a quilt before , but with the addition of a brother walking foot the job was a breeze . And the monogramming so easy .
Just got my machine this afternoon ahead of time. It is lightweight and already I am impressed, it’s quiet I have not tried all the stitches yet. It comes with a good explanatory manual and a DVD It is easy to work out it has a variety of foots and a good work space extension table.
Top loaders are so much better than front loader bobbins it allows you to see how much thread you have left. This has easy rewind.
It would recommend this machine, I previously bought another machine that I returned and it cost a lot more and this machine is far superior and offers far more stiches.

The machine was a bargain at 140 off the british prices. It came from amazon eu sarl. I was worried it might be wired for the eu, but it was fine here in u.k. The instructional dvd couldn’t be played though as it is in in a format my computer and laptop won’t recognise, however it doesn’t matter as the instruction book is pretty comprehensive. I bought it mainly for the amount of inbuilt stitches and it definitely comes out well in this respect. It has the usual brother threading and top loading which I love. I already own two top of the range brother machines but the range of fancy stitches on the sewing machine is somewhat limited probably because you can build your own. The other machine is embroidery only. Added to this is they are way too heavy to transport to classes. This little machine is ideal in this respect to as it is very light. It comes with a hard cover which eliminates the need for a carry bag. The tension was spot on and needed no adjustment on arrival. It is a little noisy, sounds a bit mechanical really. There is no thread cutter, but there is a semi automatic needle threader which works very well. For the price I paid, I am very happy. I reckon with regular maintenance, this little beauty should last many years. There is a table attachment, which is a little on the small side for quilting but definitely worth having. I would recommend this machine to anyone.

I’ve had my machine for over a year now and love it just as much as the day I bought it. It’s so easy to set up and the functions are extremely useful. I upgraded my old basic brother machine as I had outgrown and fell in love with quilting. I was drawn to this machine for the drop in bobbing and for the free hand quilting. It really is worth the money.
This is without a doubt the best sewing machine I have ever owned. I have gone through five sewing machines and they all left me dissatisfied in one way or another. Not this one. It has eased my frustration with sewing machines to a great extent.
The Brother FS100WT is a computerised machine. It is quite good to be able to see the stitch selection, length and width on the screen. The number of stitches is a massive plus for me – 99 regular and decorative stitches and 55 character stitches.
The machine is very sturdy. The tension is right and the threading works perfectly. I have used it to sew light and heavy fabrics and I have been pleased with the results every time.
The instruction booklet and DVD are tremendously useful. They provide a very clear explanatory guide on the different stitches and different machine accessories. Speaking of accessories, the range provided along with the machine is really nice to have. The sturdy cover provided is great for protecting the machine from dust, etc.
Never owned or used a sewing machine before I bought this machine with Amazon Lightening deals, I was looking for a cheap beginners machine so I could get into sewing, so when I saw the deal for this machine I snapped it up as it would have being usually out of my price range. So I am writing this review as a near total novice, but after using the Brother FS100WT now for about three months I have to say I love this machine. I am now at the stage where I am making T-shirts and other clothing for my family and I have to say this machine has made the learning curve a breeze, it has so many options and is so easy to handle and operate and comes with loads of accessories, very good tutorial DVD and instruction booklet.. As a total beginner all of these things proved very useful for me especially the automatic needle threading. The machine itself appears to be manufactured to a high standard and it just looks and feels like a quality product.
To anyone in my situation who is thinking of taking up sewing I would like to say I find my new pastime highly rewarding and not near as time consuming or difficult as I thought it would be, and it might be worth while stretching your budget for a slightly better equipped machine such as this one if possible.

My wife bought this half price on Black Friday, it was delivered on Saturday and it was up and running on Saturday afternoon. She loves it and she is gradually learning how to use it to it’s maximum potential. Good quality machine with loads of features, particularly at the price she paid.
I am very pleased with this. I am a competent sewer but wanted to update my machine. I’ve used every aspect of this in the few weeks I’ve had it, all except the button hole feature.
I find it easy to use and the letter embroidery works very well.It is also nice and light.
The hard case it comes with was a nice surprise as I hadn’t realised it came with one – however, it is a poor fit and trying to carry the machine with the case, with your fingers through the carry slot at the back, feels very awkward with a case that doesn’t fit snugly. I think I will switch to a sewing machine bag instead, which feels wrong when it is supposed to have a hard cover.
I like the automatic needed threader, but it can take several attempts for it to catch the thread to pull it through the needed. Because of that and the bad design/fit of the cover, I am giving it 4 rather than 5 stars.

I really like this machine . I bought a Husqvarna machine (similar spec) less than a year prior to purchasing this machine and my brother is definately the machine of choice. Never know if its me but I always seem to battle with my sewing machines – this one is coping with me nicely so far !

The speed is absolutely brilliant. i will def see my self make loads of stuff with this. made one cushion already and even the zig zag function is really easy to use. the screen giving a clue on the correct feet is brilliant. overall really happy with the purchase.
So far.. ‘Sew’ good This is my very first sewing machine, so naturally i was excited by also a bit intimidated, but this machine is fab to use. The speed controller is such a great feature so that even if you put the foot pedal to the floor it will only go very slow or however fast you want.. Great! So far i have made a simple envelope cushion case and a teeny tote bag, very very simple but i have never sewn before so i have to start somewhere. I think this machine will see me through many years.. Complete beginner to more experienced. I love it. I got in a lightening deal for 199 what a bargain – daughter of DL

I got this during the black Friday sale and I love this machine. The step by step instructions and the dvd make it very easy to set up. My sewing machine skills are basic and I found inserting the bobbin and threading the machine incredibly easy and I love all the different stitches the machine has.
I bought this on Black Friday and love it!! As a relative newcomer to sewing, the machine I had previously was basic and manual. Having an automatic needle threader is so much better, as is automatic width for stitches. The machine itself is well made and sturdy and really simple to use.
I will update my review as my new found skills grow and I get more out of this machine but so far, I’m pleased with my purchase.
This machine has loads of settings and as I bought this on Black Friday I got this excellent machine with loads of functions for the price of the basic machine. Still working through all the functions but has been excellent so far.
I paid a good price ( offer) but have yet to really use it but looks fab and does a lot more than I realised.
Great machine. A lot of features and easy to use. A good upgrade to my old machine. I like the new way of threading machine. Much more reliable. Overall I have no complaints.
