Large Rear Opening – Black
This heavy duty Secure Gate and Railings Box is manufactured by Burg Wachter. The Gate and Railings Box is rear retrieval and comes with a vertical post slot on the front which is covered with a lift up flap giving it the ability to sit nicely between the railings and being held in place with two strong heavy duty clamps. Accepts up to C4 envelopes and is manufactured in galvanised steel with an epoxy powder paint coating.

Had electric gates fitted and were advised by Banham this was a good box to fit to gates for mail. Easy to fit and tamper proof!

Its an expensive box but it does the job very well. I have no problems with water getting inside & it rains here a lot! Easy to install and it has a substanial opening for letters & small packages to be easily deposited inside. Its a heavy duty box and feels very good quality, so im sure it will last years.

Works and looks great. Had it up for a couple months now and even after all the storms and heavy rains, no leaking, rust or anything.

Arrived on Time. Is easy to fit. Heavy rain last night, box dry inside. Recommended
Good useful item. Easy to install in minutes. Being on the inside of gate, makes it quick and easy to empty, and harder to steal. Unfortunately it is not weatherproof. When it rains, post gets soaked. It can be solved quite easily. We have put 2 small, up-turned yoghurt pots inside at the bottom. This stops post dropping to the very bottom, therefore not getting soaked. We should not have to do this, but it is a solution.

Perfect for European style fence/railings and post system...
This is ideal for a house with tall, panelled metal fence …it means the opening can go on the street side, you can collect post from the house side…but it can’t be accessed by passers by chancing their hand ….unless they have an extremely thin arm! Perfect after finding our previous box has been tampered with here in France. Downside is bigger parcels have to be collected from the post office if we aren’t in…but small packets and all letters/cards can stay in the box without worry. We had torrential rain the day after we installed it and everything inside stayed dry.

Sturdy, roomy, looks good and easy to fit onto gates.
My husband installed this, so it must be installer friendly. He’s very impressed with it, which means it’s definitely 5 stars. It’s also very roomy and we now have no holiday worries with post bulging out.

Was surprised at the weight and that I would need help installing.
Very heavy need two people to install. Eady to install just too heavy for one person. Very sturdy. Only have it a short while so have to wait to see if any problems with winter weather. So far not problems.

Arrived when it was supposed to, well packaged. The door could fit a littles better than it does and I would have liked to see eight fixing bolts instead of the four supplied. This product is in use and doing the job it was supposed to do.

Post was being taken from our old box, this box is much more secure and it has not happened since!

I stuck a house number and the word “POST” on the box.

Had this to replace a letter box that got my mail wet. This is far better, no wet or damage mail and fits great on the metal gate
