Was told by Medical Consultant to get an exercise bike. Using this with my own bike is a much cheaper option.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI use the Calburn Turbo Trainer and I’m super impressed with how easy it is to turn my Specialized Rockhopper into an serious indoor training platform that you can rely on and wow you burn serious calories… I 100% recommend this to anyone who’s thinking “which one do I get?” Get a Calburn robust solid and reliable and ride indoors when it’s raining 10/10

The trainer looks very well-made. Sadly I haven’t used it yet because it doesn’t fit my road bike.

I thought this would be harder to put together but having read the instructions it was straightforward and a lot more stable than I thought. Good solid piece of kit.

The ‘turbo trainer’ attached to my bike very easily without having to use the supplied replacement quick release gubbins which I have kept incase I ever change my bike.
It took me about ten minutes to get this up and working with no tools required – and that time included taking it out of the box. This also means I can quickly take the bike off the trainer to use it on the road when I need to.
In terms of noise – I think it is really quiet – certainly can’t hear the bearings or friction device etc however my bike has relatively smooth profile tyre tread – if you have all terrain tyres then THEY will make noise against the roller in the trainer, but this would be the case for any ‘wheels on’ trainer.
I would highly recommend this product based on the value for money, ease of setup and quality.

The trainer came assembled and I found it easy to set up. A replacement quick release skewer was supplied but the one I had on the bike fitted the trainer fine. I use the trainer with a racing road bike. The tyres are smooth so the trainer is fairly quiet. I can easily listen to music or a podcast while cycling without needing to turn up the volume. I feel it’s really good value for money. I was considering an exercise bike but so far this trainer serves my needs perfectly. I’m really pleased with the purchase.

To be honest as this is one of the cheapest on-site I would say it is fantastic and highly recommend. I did give it 1 start on the noise but that is only due to the tires which are mountain bike tyres which Im under the understanding is very noisy on any of them.

It came really quickly and once I changed my quick release to the one provided it was up and running in no time. It is quite quiet to use but I’m using it on a solid floor, is quite loud if you are using it on floorboards. Great product and definitely worth the affordable money

After searching through many similar products’ I took a chance on this one.. I was nearly put off by a few reviews saying it was very loud with mountain bike tyres but I decided I’d take a chance & I’m so happy I did.. The stand is so sturdy & can be folded away. Not as loud as I expected when used- I found after around 2mins the sound reduces when a good rhythm is reached. Great product at a very reasonable price !!

Great add on for my hybrid bike – relatively easy to put together and once some, easy to use. I didn’t find it noisy like some other reviews have done. Really pleased with it so far!

It’s good if you don’t mind the unholy racket. It you have smooth tyres, it’s probably reasonably quiet. With “nobbly” mountain bike tyres, it’s on with the noise cancelling headphones! Provides a good deal of variable pressure to ride against. Good if you’ve no room for a real exercise bike and already have a push bike.

Using it with my hybrid bike, and it works perfectly.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersA bit fiddly to set up initially but onve you get the idea of how this works its a neat wee piece of kit. My bike has 29 inch wheels with knobbly tyres and thats right on the limit of what this can handle, but once you realise why they send a replacement rear spindle, all becomes clearer. (BTW they call the spindle a skewer which is a wee bit confusing) Once its all set up though, it does what it say on the tin and for a half price black Friday deal (really?) its excellent VFM. Amazon will suggest buying a front wheel stabilizer block to go with it…don’t bother as there’s one in the box!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFinally a Trainer that is quiet enough to watch TV while working out! I love the fact that assembly was straight-forward and I was riding very quickly after opening the box. I am impressed with the overall quality of materials and construction and predict the Trainer will have great durability. I’m also a fan of the branding (I don’t need to rush to hide it after using it). The shipment process was quick and the product was packaged well.

Very high quality Trainer. Sturdy and easy to assemble

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt took me about ten minutes to set this up. I changed the axle in my 700c disc brake wheeled hybrid bike to the included axle and fixed it to the base. Then it was just a case of adjusting the friction thingy and attaching the control to the handlebars. Once you have it set up then it only takes a minute or so to get the bike on or off and the unit folds up into a small space for storage.

I am quite a large chap – 6 foot 5 and around 115 kilos – and the base felt strong and stable whilst in use. There is very little noise whilst in use from the unit, the major noise being from the tyres on the bike. Adjustment is effective and smooth – the magnetic resistance providing a good range without any increase in noise.

Overall I am impressed. For the money this seems to be a good quality and well made indoor trainer which is easy to set up and does a good job. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAn indoor bike exerciser. easy to connect your bike to the machine itself. Its just a matter of releasing the catches at the back and then positioning the wheel and locking it back up. with a cable to the front and a knob that can make the machine go easy or hard.
