When you take this tool in your hand, you feel it’s heavy, solid, well build. Nothing to compare with the old cheap air chisel I bought 15 years ago.
Works very well to remove rust. A lot less sandblasting to do.
Required a lot of strength to remove the chisel.
Not cheap, but worth the price.

Great scaler, I used to remove rust from an old rusty trailer. The red plastic case it is enclosed in seems a bit cheap but it performed great and did what it needed to with ease…Wish I had this when I removed rust from the frame on my pick up!

This thing is a boss compared to the cheap one I had. I needed one that would really work, all the air tools I have that lasted many years are all Chicago Pneuamatic. Bonus is the scaler attachment fits on my Patco USA air chisel, this is basically a Tiawan clone of the Patco, but don’t let that stop you it’s well made. I got the entire thing for what I could have bought just the scaler attachment for on the Patco. Best deal was on amazon. I generally try to by USA made products but in this case I can overlook it for the price and value of this one.

The scalper has done a wonderful job. I used it for many years in the Coast guard removing rust on small boats and ships. It does the job.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA nice well built tool that removes scale and rust fast from about any surface from flat to angled to rounded. 3 adjustment levels for intensity of scaling. I haven’t tried the flat scraper yet though.

Removed the lairs of rust from trucks wheels, it was time consuming, but worked well. I expect to do a lot more chilling & peening

It removes rust , asphalt , paint thick layer of any thing
You need to clean after it with a wire brush , I made my life easier , don’t forget 3 drips of oil every for 60 minute of working . clean your air compressor from wate

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe local distributor wanted over $450.00 for the same brand and I got this one instead. It works great and does stand up to heavy use. This is a great deal. Just search online at other offers and this is the better deal.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe removal of weld slag is no problem. I have used it only with 7018 welding rod. I don’t know how well it will remove cellulose flux on rods such as 6011 or 6010. The only draw back is the weight. It is heavy but as with most tools they have to be robust to withstand a shop environment. It has been drop “tested” and survived. I wish it was manufactured in the United States instead of China. I would buy another one if needed.
