With the recent price hikes in electricity it became increasingly hard to justify using our lazy spa Paris. Costing a small fortune to run. Now with this on the heater only kicks in 3x/day. Before it was more like 7x. Leaving it on for a week I’m using 70 kWh less than this time last year when I didn’t have this on.
As you can see from the thermometer very little heat is now lost. The outside of the cover is nearly at ambient temp whilst the hot tub sides are 25 degrees, 5 degrees hotter.
It fits well over the top. May need a strap to help secure it in winds. It’s extra protection too.
It works like a cold. You lose less heat if you put a big winter jacket on than a tee shirt. Not rocket science. But delighted to find out it’s not even going to take 2 months in summer to pay for itself.

Running costs are less than half

Works on my lazy spa Paris 2016 model. Keeps the hot tub insulated. Great purchase

This is a game changer! Well worth the initial outlay. Our cosy spa only drops 1-2C over night, & takes much less time to heat. Easy to put on with just one person. Absolutely essential IMO

Although it’s a bit of an upfront expense this really has made a difference to heating up times and also keeps the water warm for ages after the heater has been turned off

This cover has been fantastic on my energy saving. I would usually wake up in the morning to a smart meter of 3.00 from the pool having to heat over night, since having the cover it’s dropped to 1.80 so it’s doing it’s job. Couldn’t recommend more has saved me lots on heating costs. Obviously cost saving will be dependant on ambient temp but this will help keep the heat in.

We have the 4 person square inflatable spa with external pump, sold online at Studio. It fits this with the bladder and cover on. Our spa is outside on insulated foil foam mats , under a pergola ,3 sides protected by a 3ft picket fence shaded by plants. I turned the heater off at 4pm yesterday at 33c. Today ,filter on, not heater, 24 hrs later it has only lost 3c. Usually with just the bladder and cover on, it would have dropped at least 10 degrees overnight. I did not leave the area exposed by the filter pipes open, I clipped the removable panel in place as well as I could to prevent heat loss.

I got this large thermal cover for my Lay-z-spa Santorini which is a 216cm wide spa.

better prices for the large at the clever company site or the range.

the thermal cover fits loosely and has a strap that connects where the pump fits into the spa.
I may not bother to attach the strap if the tub is in frequent use as its awkward to reach.

so far I’ve turned the heater off & used the thermal cover 3 days ago when the spa water temp was 25c & its still 25c despite the low night time temps (yes ambient day temps between 21 & 27 has helped).

I’ll be ready to use the spa again next week so will see how well it retains optimal heat. but something is better than nothing.

A shame the spa did not ship with a cover.

Other than the branding, the recently launched lay-z-spa cover looks the same as this.

The cosy spa one looked better as looked like the top zipped off but could not find this size.

I bought this quilted cover after being recommended it by a friend
Best bit of kit for a hot tub
It really does keep the heat in so keeping costs down to heat the tub up
    Excellent quality
A little pricey but worth the money in the long run as it really does keep the heat in
So highly recommend to all hot tub users

Didn’t buy this on Amazon but the reviews here helped me to decide whether or not to buy it cheaper elsewhere.
It has definitely been more costly to run my Spa so far this year and I was desperate to find a way to reduce the cost.
I tried a bodged DIY thermal cover but it just didn’t do the job but this has literally cut the cost in half.
It heated up twice as fast and really holds the heat well.
You just have to stick your hand under the cover to feel how much heat is retained by the thermal blanket.
Well worth the 80 it cost me.
    Highly recommend this to everyone!

Amazed at how effective this is. Really keeps the tub warm with minimal heating. Probably drops 5 deg in 12 hours overnight when the thermostat set low.

If you have a inflatable hot tub this cover is a MUST! It keeps the water warmer for sooo much longer and makes heating it up quicker too.
The claim that you will use 50% energy is accurate- and when I left my tub off overnight it dropped by a couple of degrees even though the ambient temperature was below 5c
100% recommend – it’s easy to put on and take off and it’s weather proof too.
For info my tub is a Wave Spa 208cm and it’s a perfect fi

Bought for a 6 person inflatable hot tub. We use it in the winter as the hot tub is used all year round. It help to keep the temperature and protect the body of the tub in freezing temperatures. Very happy with it.

I was a bit sceptical about some of the reviews, but I needn’t have worried because they are all true.
I have had this cover for over a week now and the amount of electricity has been cut in half, so if you have a Lazy Spa you have to get one of these, it will save you money.

We have this on a LS Paris. Its a little large around the base hence the strap around it to keep it from flying off ( even with the built in strap done up to the tightest setting). You will need to place a strap over it depending on the wind conditions in your location as the wind wiping across the top tends to lift it off the hot tub. Its a shame there is no drawstring at the bottom.
Since using this the hot tub only heats up 2 to 3 times in 24 hours ( keeping at 32C ) and is only on for 30 minutes at a time. ( raising 1C ) I have only had it for 3 days and I am impressed.

    It works

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis fits my Wave Atlantic 6 person hot tub perfectly.

I decided I wanted to continue to use my hot tub through the winter but it was starting to cost a fortune so decided to invest in a few things, this being the most expensive.

So, keeping in mind tubby is on thermal tiled flooring inside a dome tent, I’m finding that it heated up from 13 to 39 in about half the time it did over summer. I usually keep it at around 37 and I’ve noticed also that this is costing much less. 24 hrs currently costs me less than drying a load of washing in the tumble dryer!!

It’s saving me money now, so that’s only going to increase in the summer. Definitely worth the money.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersRecommended by a friend and does a great job. When you take the blanket off you can really feel the heat being contained within the hot tub. Also aware that the heating element is not on as much with the cover on so hopefully see the benefit with the electric bill. Cover looks good to and easy to take on and off.

It’s really easy to put on and take off, which is great when you are using the hot tub every day. I didn’t measure the electricity cost change but with the great fit covering the whole tub, I’m sure it is helping.

Fits perfectly on my Intex purespa 6 perso

This cover matches our expectations and some. While it is expensive, not only does it protect the hot tub but it has excellent thermal protection. Our electric use for the tub is the same as in the summer weeks (albeit the weather remains mild for the time of year).
